Be a Beekeeper for a Day
Come experience the wonderful world of the honeybee where we encourage you to take pictures. We begin our 1 1/2 hour experience near Tampa, Florida. I have several different locations to choose from ranging from Farm to urban areas. The address showing will not be the place that you will have your experience. The Dancing Goat Dairy Farm Tour
I will give a short overview of the farm and we will get to know each other the first 10 minutes. Our walking tour starts with the ducks (they are up front) and continue through emus, chickens, geese and more ducks. It is a working farm so the farm will be in action around you from feeding to cleaning duties. We will continue to the barn area where we will first visit with our dry stock (non-milking) and bucks. Here is where the guests will be allowed to pet the animals and feed animal cookies we supply. I will explain the different breeds of goats, what they eat, how their digestion work and show the difference between our dry goats and our milking line. From time to time there are babies of all species from goats, to ducks, to chicks, to bunnies. We cannot plan what we will have at any one time but most always something with feathers in a brooder. We are also a cat foster so most of the time there are kittens to see. If we have baby goats at the time, the guests will have the opportunity to pet, snuggle and love on the goats. They will view the milking parlor The tour will conclude with a sampling of dairy products made here on the farm. Approx 2 hour tour depending on interest with the last 20-30 minutes spent sampling our various goat cheeses and products. We usually run over 1/2 hour. Wear comfortable shoes/clothes, bug spray or suncreen, if sensitive

Beekeeping on the Farm
We invite you to experience an apiary adventure. We'll start with some basic Beekeeping 101. Next a walk through the farm passing chickens, turkeys, goats and ponies on your path to the bees. Then we will suit up and light our smokers. You may observe or dive right into a hands on exploration of live working Bee hives. Here you will see honey ,nectar, brood, worker bees, drones and maybe even the queen herself. Should you feel overwhelmed at any time you may head back to the barn and hang out with animals while we finish the tour. We will wrap it up by cooling down with some complimentary ice cold honey lemonade ...FYI we can not open the bee hives in the rain, if the weather is bad you will have the option to still have the class, do a honey tasting and view live bees through an observation hive or to cancel or reschedule.
Honey Bees Up Close - Bee A Keeper
Your 1.5+ hour interactive nature experience with the bees begins with a multimedia overview of the life of a bee. You’ll see a hive and learn how to hold a frame (without squishing the bees -they don’t like that). We’ll get suited up. Light a smoker. Do a safety check, and approach the hive. At the hive you’ll see and feel the power of propolis (a supplement for humans as well) -- its the glue bees use to seal up the hive. We’ll lift the lid and go inside. For some, that’s might be as far as they want to go. But, if you’re adventurous, we will do a complete hive inspection: Pull frames to see how the bees create honey and keep the colony alive. You’ll see open “wet cells” of nectar that are still in the process of transforming into honey. You’ll see capped honey, tiny freshly laid eggs and all the stages of bee development ( larvae, caped brood, and newly emerging “baby bees”). I’ll show you how beekeepers help control pests (other insects and diseases) and keep the bees healthy so they can do their important work. You’ll hold frames of bees and feel the weight of a full frame of honey when compared to a frame of bees. There’s always time for selfies. You’ll sample honey & enjoy a cold beverage sweetened with honey. This is Ecco tourism with some of mother nature’s most important workers.
Private Dinner in German Chef's Home
We will start our experience with a traditional German beer, wine or cocktail in my patio overlooking my lush and tropical, lakeside back yard. Then we move into my dining room/kitchen to prepare our German meal. I will guide you through aspects of German food culture, seasonal customs and will advise you of Tampa Bay's local local European shops that have German specialty items and ingredients available. We will cook a typical seasonal three-course menu with a healthy and delicious take on German cuisine. The Class will culminate, as we enjoy our home-cooked meal together, family style, with beer and wine around my dining room table.
Yoga & Pilates Experience in picturesque park, Clearwater
Join me for a sixty minute experience in the delightful picturesque Crest Lake Park. With the warm sunshine and surrounded by beautiful green nature we will begin and end each lesson with some breathing exercises along with some light stress-relieving meditation. The lesson will also cover gentle stretching, beneficial core/stability work along with overall strength training. Each lesson can be customized to your group's level of fitness and preferences. You have the option of focusing on lighter more relaxing yoga or pilates based flow or a more high intensity cardio based routine which will really get that heart rate going, burn those extra calories along with increasing oxygen and blood flow. You can also choose to do a fusion of both.

Kayak the Mangroves on Lido Key
You will meet your guides at Ted Sperling Park, the launch site for the famous Lido Mangrove Tunnels. After a short explanation of the equipment and the paddle, we will launch and practice our skills in a beautiful, shallow bay. Depending on weather conditions, we may paddle to the channel with a goal of paddling with manatees and dolphins. If we do come across them, we will keep our distance and watch them play and frolic. Occasionally, manatees will be curious and will swim up to us. It is such a special experience. Next up, we will head to the mangrove tunnels. We may take a short break at a private beach to stretch our legs before we head into the maze of mangrove tunnels. Your guides will help you navigate the tunnels, pointing out exotic wildlife as you pass. Everyone loves when finding giant hermit crabs and seastars along the way. After paddling though the tunnels and to the hidden lagoon, we will head back to the launch. Your hosts will text photos of your adventure for you to share with friends and family. Other things to note Kids welcome from age 3 and up. Kayaks and paddleboards can be combined on the same tour. If you need a different date, contact us at info@surfitusa.com or call 941-952-8245. Plant-Based Cooking Class
Our experience starts with a very special offering of one of my savory signature choices from my menu. I purchase only the finest ingredients for our creation. We meet at our designated time, along with the other guests, at my aesthetic venue. We will meet and greet briefly. Soon after, I will explain the intense dish, the ingredients, how I came up with the dish (always humorous) and why I had to share the “health” with those I share this planet with. Then you will learn how to wash the fresh ingredients and have a short discussion about what it brings to the recipe. You find out inside data as to where to purchase the ingredients for the best quality and price. You will then learn the proper technique to either chop, dice or slice some of the ingredients. You will also learn safety techniques and find the chemistry something past students call miraculous. And, oh, how the simplicity shines through. Finally, you will learn the technique of oil free cooking, weather we sauté, caramelize or stir fry. You will then learn the special recipe of the oil free sauce and how this dish comes together for a creation described as no less than phenomenal. Together, at the finish, we indulge in what we created, sharing the meal and how we all became interested in eating a whole food, plant-based and oil free lifestyle. Other things to note This is a gated community and once we make connection, I will give further written directions to pass thru the gate (with code) so you will easily arrive at the correct apartment home.
