Best airbnb we've ever stayed in. This is a glowing review because Ray's place was amazing. There were so many thoughtful touches and we had everything we needed. The whole house was clean, inviting, warm and so peaceful. The local shops and beach were a surprisingly short drive away. And the steep walk up the hill behind the house rewards with magnificent panoramic views. We loved the views and balconies from every room, the electric piano, the cosy fireplace, collecting fresh eggs from the beautiful chooks, the countless stars at night, the rainwater, the pantry, the very comfy beds and pillows, and how peaceful and quiet it is. We will definitely be back and we highly recommend this place. Thank you Ray!

Wow! This place is beautiful and catered for every item I needed - pantry items, food in the fridge, and so many additional extras. I came for a quiet place to work this time and I will be back - for work and to holiday with my family.

We had an amazing stay here. I can’t rate it highly enough. Peaceful and relaxing surroundings but close enough to Victor Harbor. Ray was a great host and the little extra touches in the house made it a perfect stay. We had friends come and visit us for the evening and now they want to book too! We would definitely stay again.

We had such a great time in this property as it was quiet, clean and fully equipped. Raymond and Nena went above and beyond to ensure our stay was comfortable. It was easy to communicate with them. We were two families staying in the house with kids and there was ample space for everyone. Amazing views with alpacas and kangaroos being spotted from the living room. Highly recommend this property!

An epic place to unwind with plenty of space for the dogs and kid to roam and explore safely (fully fenced in for both). Had fun roaming outside and BBQing during the day and relaxing with a glass of wine and a movie on the huge comfy couch at night.

Gareth’s place was fantastic and my two children had so much fun playing in the backyard with trampoline and watching animals. The place had everything we needed and I loved how there was no WiFi/network so we can completely switch off and enjoy the beautiful view and surroundings. It was an amazing experience for all of us and very close to Victor Harbour so it’s very convenient too.

Our host family provided us a lot of essential such us eggs, milk, break and snacks. they are very kind. They have lived in Nanjing, China for two years. A warm and nice family.

We can’t thank our hosts enough who made us feel very welcome and very hospitable. We arrived to a house filled with food essentials from eggs, bread, milk and cereal, and our three kids were so excited to see there were toys they could play with, too. They also enjoyed playing on the trampoline and swing outside. What’s more, the hosts also offered their washing machine for us to use - above and beyond (and we had plenty to wash!). At a great price with all the essentials and space for a young family of five, our stay was exceptional. Thank you again!

Had a very chilled few days staying here. Beach walks, river runs, quiet, easy access. 5 stars.

The Middleton beach huts are a great getaway close to some of the most beautiful beaches of SA. The Middleton beach huts are extremely clean with so many options of fun activities to do! Could not recommend more. Will definitely be back 😊

Everything that was provided by the host was beautiful right down to the local champagne and the chocolates. I was highly impressed with the cottage and all the little personnel touched that you have provided and well catered. I will be recommending the stay to anyone needed a perfect get away from Adelaide down on the coast.

What a great place to stay, you will not be disappointed with these cottages. Close walk to the beach and who doesn’t love staying at a super host when staying at an Airbnb.

A most peaceful and relaxing location, but with all the facilities to make entertaining with friends and Family a delight. The Host is extremely helpful. The Breakfast provided covered every possible choice. In addition the local produce provided, told the story of surrounding local suppliers. The drinks and cheese selection was exceptional. We thoroughly enjoyed it and highly recommend OCRE.

Old Coach Road Estate is a hidden gem. The house is stunning, beds are comfy, lots of thoughtful touches (like melting moments, local cheeses and other local produce) and the view right down to the sea is amazing! The kitchen is well set up so cooking is easy and the breakfast supplies were delicious and ample. Such a delightful place to relax and unwind surrounded by paddocks and gum trees. Centrally located in the Fleurieu Peninsula making it the perfect place to explore the local cheesery, distillery and winery plus not far to the beautiful beaches at Pt Elliot and beyond. And less than 1 hour from Adelaide so easy to get to. Angela was very helpful, right from the first enquiry through to check in and then check out. The photos are accurate.

Old Coach Road is a wonderful plact to stay with high quality executive features and beautiful decor. Sit back and relax with a glass of wine and some freinds and soak in the glorious view down the valley to the ocean. This place is outstanding and the host Angela is so warm and welcoming.

This is such an outstandingly beautiful place - I couldn’t recommend it highly enough! The house itself is huge with a more private wing for the master bedroom, and an enormous kitchen and dining space for entertaining - however, it felt cosy enough for just the two of us. The views of the property and down to the ocean can’t be beat and it was just a quick 10 minute drive down to the sea when we wanted a swim. Angela was super prompt to respond and gave us lots of local tips on where to swim and eat. We’ll definitely be returning to this stunning home!

Fantastic service and quick responses, a little cosy gem in a perfect spot in Middleton. I had to travel during isolation times and, even though I was nervous staying outside of my home, upon arrival the accommodation was sparkling clean and I felt like I was in a special safe haven (and I have very high hygiene standards!). Lovely backyard for my dog to roam in and fully enclosed. Highlight was the fireplace and being able to see the ocean from the back deck. Bed was very comfortable and water pressure was great in the shower! Will definitely be back in future, when it’s time for more of a ‘holiday’!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay @ Millys Cottage. The cottage is very comfortable & cosy and close to the beach. Both back & front yards are large, fully enclosed & were perfect for our two Red Clouds. We discovered while walking a beaut cafe called Pippis, a must visit. If we come over from WA again we will definitely rebook...

Yes we came back ! this is a slice of heaven in this crazy world ! Country living at its best.. peace ,tranquility , animals, fireplace, views to die for and not a human soul for miles !! If you want a cosy romantic stay with a loved one or a boozy girly wkend with a bestie this is your place! no distractions no interruptions just endless time to spend doing what you like, the perfect escape :) and yes we will definitely be back again !! I'm starting to call this place home lol!!

Where do I start.. Well, this place is heaven on earth. The views are so beautiful that you completely forget about any worries you have. I cannot express enough how magical our 2 night stay was. We had the fire on 2 nights in a row that made the whole house toasty warm and cosy. My favourite part was having breakfast out the back while watching the cows and spotting the little calves! One of our highlights was when I held the electric fence without thinking and gave myself a little heart attack 😂 I am 100% coming back and most likely staying for an extra night! I’m never going to another Airbnb again unless it is this place!

Margo’s place is a nice place for a getaway to reconnect with nature and remove yourself from civilisation for a few days. There are some animals on the farm that you are welcome to have a look. The cottage itself has everything you’ll need from kitchen to bathroom essentials. Very cosy and homely vibe at the cottage and Margo is very easily contactable. Would recommend!

This would be the place I recommend if you like to be away from the city and be close to nature. I enjoy the scent of the eucalyptus trees as we stroll up the path near the cottage. The firewood heater is a real novelty for city dwellers.

A cosy, yet spacious cottage that really felt like home for the weekend. You’re in the middle of beautiful valleys and meet some friendly farm animals. Isolated enough to feel like an escape from civilization but close enough to a supermarket. Margo was easy to communicate with and gave great suggestions. Really loved it, hope to be back soon!

A lovely, light-filled loft filled with loving little touches to make the stay homely and special, The Nest is comfortable and well-equipped down to DVDs and books to make staying in tempting. It is located just a few minutes walk from the iconic Cockle Train which runs to Victor Harbor 30minutes' train ride away three times a day. It is a perfect little spot for a getaway and is beautifully situated for sight seeing around the region. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would highly recommend The Nest to any future visitors.

Michelle’s studio is the perfect getaway to relax for a couple or small family with a stunning view in a super comfortable space. All ammenities were provided so we were able to cook our own dinner/breakfast and watch netflix on the large tele. It was lovely laying back on the sun lounges in the morning on the front deck enjoying the view with a lovely coffee from the pod machine provided. Michelle added very thoughtful touches from flowers to fresh juice, milk, bread, butter with tomatoes, chilles and mint im assuming she picked from her own very impressive garden! Would definitely recommend staying here for some relaxing quiet time, we will be back :)

Michelle’s hospitality made our one night stay a memorable one. Although we didn’t get too see any 🦘, the vast land the home is situated on made for some amazing views.

Michelle is such a great host I've ever met. So far we have arrived and we were blown away about the view. So beautiful and the skyline in Victor Harbor. Sea view direct from our private studio. As we enter to our special house she already prepared the beautiful bouquet of flowers they were so pretty I loved how she prepared for us and the room was 100% clean with everything you need to use in the house, we felt so special and she gave us a private space so that we could enjoy our holiday. She is so bubbly so freindly and her lovely dog OMG I'm going to miss her and the Kangaroo.. my kids were enjoying every single day at Michelles place and her lovely breakfast she saved for us. Fresh eggs from her chickens we really enjoyed and were amazed about the breakfast with sausages included wich is a suprise😃 Thank you again Michelle for bieng such a great host.. definately we will come visit your place again as it is value for money. Black Salt is a tastefully decorated, modern holiday unit in a great location. Its only a five-minute walk to the beach and has everything you need for a great weekend away.

Paula was an amazing host and we couldn’t recommend her stay enough. The location and view was absolutely beautiful! We had the privilege of meeting Ross as he brought fire wood over for us for the outside fire pit and he was very informative and accommodating.

What a hidden little gem Paula's Place is. Our family and I had the most incredible time, it was a struggle to leave!! Our boys aged 8 & 5 pleaded to stay and our youngest son has asked if he can celebrate his next birthday there like his big brother got to. It speaks in volumes when your 5 year old chooses Paula's place over a birthday party!! 😆 There's PLENTY for the kids to do!! This is the perfect place to relax and unwind. Its a gorgeous setting, very tranquil with beautiful water front views. The house is cosy yet perfectly spacious enough for a family of 4. Very slylish with a great vibe!! You can happliy 'waste' the day away sitting outside overlooking the water, but there are plenty of fun things to do if you're a bit more adventurous and enjoy Kayaking, swimming, fishing, bike riding etc. The chooks were a big hit, especially with our boys. Plenty of room to play cricket on the lawn and let their imaginations run free. They also enjoyed riding their bikes along the long private dirt driveway. We could not fault Paula's communication. From the get go she was quick to respond and so friendly and accomodating (as were her folks Evie & Ross who live a couple of houses down). They even left us Easter treats and my son a lovely birthday card & gift - so incredibly generous & thoughtful. They really do go above and beyond to make you feel welcome and your stay enjoyable, but never did we feel like they were imposing on us or our privacy. To be honest, much of the time it felt like we were the only people on the planet. We highly recommend a stay at Paula's place - you're in for a treat!

Touch of Paradise is in an amazing location - close to beaches and restaurants and with an incredible view. Marg and Ray could not be more hospitable and we were very comfortable and felt most welcome. The unit is spotless and we particularly liked the relaxing armchairs and comfortable beds. There were even chocolates provided! With plenty of provisions including a continental breakfast, it was an authentic, bed n’ breakfast experience. Thank you Marg and Ray for a wonderful break.

The location of Marg and Ray's place in Encounter Bay was excellent. Fabulous views of the ocean and the Victor Harbour shoreline. Their place was very easy to stay in.. Lovely bedrooms, comfortable lounge and living area.. Practical kitchen with access to an outdoor bbq. The best thing though was Marg and Ray. They demonstrated such generosity and kindness. Marg and Ray collected us when our car broke down, leant us coats when the weather turned cold, and offered us the use of their vehicle. Thank you both for making a tricky situation so manageable. I cannot express how grateful I / we are. Bless you.

It was exactly as described on the AirBnB site, very convenient to all that Goolwa and the surrounding area has to offer, and we had everything we needed for a very enjoyable stay. And the complementary bottle of locally-produced wine provided by the hosts to welcome us was a nice surprise!

What a GEM of a place!! This Airbnb has everything you need, and more. The space was immaculate and sparkling clean, highly recommend. This would also suit a group of people, I used the space as a relaxing weekend away... but if you wanted to have BBQ and a weekend with family or friends, this place would be perfect!!

Absolutely loved staying in this beautifully renovated old cottage. Ammenities are outstanding, location is fantastic, short drive to beach and close to the wharf and cafes (mother duck is great). Roger is a wonderful, generous and helpful host who has clearly thought of everything to make his guests’ stay an exceptional one. The house is beautiful and immaculate, and the entertaining areas are great. The fact that we were allowed to take our dog is an added bonus as you’ll struggle to find a nicer place that allows pets. Look forward to staying there again soon.

Lyn’s place is fabulous as it’s home away from home. Lyn makes you really welcome as do her 2 golden retriever puppies. It may be slightly outside of Victor Harbor but its really a quiet place to spend a few days It’s only a 5 minute drive to the centre.

This place is just unbelievable wonderful! It’s so much more than „just“ an Airbnb. Lyn is so kind and warm-hearted and created a really special home.

A lovely, clean and airy studio that feels surprisingly roomy. Very reasonably priced and bang in the middle of Victor Harbour, which was handy for exploring on foot. Thoroughly recommend it - we'll be back!

Fantastic place, immaculately clean and modern with everything you could want. Very comfy bed, generous breakfast provisions and great facilities, especially the coffee machine! The location is so convenient, literally a few minutes walk to the waterfront, tourist attractions, shops, restaurants and cafes. The offstreet parking was also much appreciated. Overall, I really enjoyed my stay here and found it a very cosy, comfortable and convenient place. I would definitely stay here again if I come back to Victor Harbor in future.

It is a beautiful located,very quiet and private place with trees around. Highly recommended.

We really enjoyed our stay at Cornelia's. The cabins are not fancy but are comfortable with everything you need. Set amongst the gumtrees with roving ducks and hens, we even saw some kangas in the adjoining paddock.

A truly amazing place to make a base for the peninsula. The cottages are wonderfully appointed and includes a washing machine. The chickens came to talk to us and their eggs were yummy.

Its was a lovely place to stay. Very cosy and quaint. Hosts provided some handy items and beautiful decor. We loved the fireplaces inside and out. Had a great experience.

Want a ’Netflix lounge experience ’ with a beautiful and lavish kitchen equipped with EVERYTHING. All appliances including ‘pod coffee machine are so very easy to just switch on & off - ample free firewood for an ‘amazing indoor pot belly’ that is so easy and comfortable to use. The cottage itself is an amazing refurbishment where modern addition meets all the character of the early settler dwellings. You cannot express in words just how “unique this cottage is”. The photos are only a glimpse of the extra surprises that are there. The rear garden is “the cherry on the top” - don’t avoid this ! Congratulations Mandy & Jim for making this RETREAT available .

Amber's Beach House was a perfect getaway for us, and conveniently located - easy access to the beach and the bike paths. The house fulfilled all our needs, and having use of the outdoor sauna, was a highlight. The bed was particularly comfortable, and we enjoyed the spaciousness around the house. Amber has a lovely little gem of a home away from home, and we will definitely come back again at some future date. Highly, highly recommended.

Ambers Beach House is the perfect place to visit the area. It is very clean, decorated with beautiful details. It has everything you could need for a relaxing holiday. The bed is very good, there is a big TV, the furniture are good quality, the car is under cover, As it was a cool period, we loved to use the Sauna in the garden. We appreciated the newly installed Wifi. The nice decks as well the well maintained garden were an additional delight. We highly recommend this holiday home.

A lovely little spot for a getaway!

Perfect spot for a couples getaway. Easy drive from the city, Encounter Bay is quieter than the neighbouring towns and we didn’t notice that it was holiday season at all. This place is super clean and Amber is easily contactable making it all very simple and relaxing. Book it!

Ambers place is a wonderful couples getaway, situated in a fantastic location 2 mins from the beach. Amber was such a good host responding to my messages in a timely manner and the property was in amazing condition with everything you could possibly need. A beautiful little house minutes from the beach in a wonderful location. House is spacious, even with just one bedroom. We loved the secure backyard for our dog. Thanks for the coffee machine and all the modern appliances in the kitchen. The bathroom, linen, towels, shower and toileteries were carefully chosen and supplied in abundance. This house is perfect for couples and small families who like travelling with their pets.

Lovely unit with very friendly hosts. The view was amazing and the fresh eggs provided for breakfast were the best I have tasted in years. When you add milk yoghurt and chocolate in the fridge this place is a gem. Will definitely come again.

This clean apartment is a wonderful stay for a family with lots of toys to occupy the kids. Communication was very prompt with lots of helpful local tips. We had a good start to the day with a lovely breakfast.

What an absolute Gem of a spot! Everything was spotlessly clean, giving the property a positive and welcoming vibe. There’s a big comfortable bed and place to store your luggage. My favourite thing was the separate living room just for you. Huge tv with plenty of options for entertainment, and a comfortable couch. Kitchen has everything you need for cooking and plenty of fridge space if you stay more than a few days. The backyard is a mini jungle with birds and butterfly’s. There’s a nice view of ocean from backyard for sunsets. Cool place to stay. Will and Pete are super friendly and accommodating. They sure made me feel at home while I was here. If you want privacy you got it. Highly recommend it here. Great value. The beach is just down the road, what more could you want.

Probably the best airbnb we ever had. The accommodation is very well equipped and located in a nice and quiet area. Will was not there to welcome us but her partner Peter did 😊 we had nice discussions about traveling that you can only have with an experienced traveller 😉 we even got a breakfast although it was not mentioned in airbnb. It really feels like home! Thank you again for having us 🙏

We had a great stay with Will and Peter. The Garden and balcony and flowers inside the house were a special tropical touch. We were on a working holiday and made use of the extra sitting room that was provided which allowed us to store our gear and use our laptop. Wi fi was reliable and we were able to have late checkin. We were not in holiday mode as we were on tour, but the closeness to the beach and wineries is very convenient and enticing to visit for a future holiday and take up Peter & Will on their offer for meals and tours for a fee. We were offered chicken soup which was a lovely offering. Peter & Will are flexible to be social or allow your own space. If you have looked at previous reviews, we were initially confused about previous reviews but can confirm that those reviews were about another property in Africa and do not reflect the experience we had at all. We had prompt, reliable replies and felt secure. Look forward to staying with Will & Peter in the future when we return to the region.

Great place to stay.

A relaxed laid back little eco friendly place with relaxed vibes and friendly hosts. My privacy was respected and it was great getting up hearing the ocean and some soothing piano notes coming from the main house to make me feel relaxed. Situated right across the road from the ocean I can see why the owners put so much time and patience into building such a unique and special place. Good for the soul.

Great place to stay!

Such a great little place. You could spend hours finding all of the little treasures both in the garden and the house. The house was spotless and the linen was clean. Very efficient and friendly communication. Such a great location, close to the beach and only a half hour stroll for breakfast at Port Elliot. We were hesitant about staying at the back of a residence, but we shouldn’t have it been, it was like we were on private property. My only regret is that I couldn’t have stayed longer.

Longy was incredibly helpful and the rustic space was a lot of fun.

Amazing! The beach hut is sparkling clean and makes you feel at home right away. The big spa bath was just what we needed. Highly recommend the ‘Blues Restaurant’ that’s on-site. Everything was perfect.

The beach huts are best described as a resort. They are just a short walk to the beach, there is a handy onsite restaurant and also facilities (including a BBQ that enable some self catering. Overall a very pleasant and convenient place to stay and well situated between the two key centres of Victor Harbour and Goolwa.

Melba's place is a very functional beach house to stay in. Equipment needed to prepare simple meals is available in the house. There are unexpected extras such as being able to ride Lyn's bicycles. The house is very clean, comfortable, organized and close to the Middleton Tavern which has great food. The beach is a short walk away. Check in is very easy and Lyn is friendly and easy to communicate with. We'll be back to stay again .

We had a wonderful time at Melba’s place. Lyn’s instructions for check in were very easy to follow, she made sure that everything went as smoothly as possible for us. The shack was tidy and it has everything we needed and more. It is very well located with easy access to different beaches, cafes, ice cream and restaurants around the corner. The place is a family vacation stay that has created lots of memories, it made us feel like home, I will recommend this place and the host to anyone, it was a great experience.
