  • Nice place! Very accommodating. Derrick left great instructions about the room and area. The room was a very comfortable place to stay.

    Beau2014-09-27T00:00:00Z
  • We really enjoyed staying at Derrick's place and even though we were only there for one night, we thought it would be a very nice place to stay for several days. Derrick was very easy to communicate with and everything from check-in to check-out was smooth. A nice place to stay in Raleigh if you're looking for somewhere homey!

  • This is a lovely, private space with a separate entry, in a great part of town. Joy was flexible about my changing schedules and very welcoming.

  • Nice space close to downtown.

  • The place was perfect and Joy was, well, a joy! :) Recommend guests spend some time on the lovely porch swing.

  • Joy welcomed my dog and me into her spectacularly beautiful home with every mark of hospitality that I could ever hope for. I not only felt welcomed but also learned a lot from her through our conversations. The next time I'm in Raleigh I know where I'm staying.

    Jonathan2017-11-01T00:00:00Z
  • Joy is an amaaaazing host. She's such a wonderful human being who was great to chat with when we had the chance. Her home is also spectacular. Joy made us frshly baked banana bread upon arrival and had everything we needed in our room. Her home is in a beautiful neighborhood filled with historic homes and trees. Gorgeous. It's also only about 20 mins away from downtown, which has loads of things to do. Altho I would definitely recommend checking out the local spots because there are some great ones just a couple blocks from Joy's place. If you love dogs you'll also fall in love with Joy's dog, Balibu, who is THE CUTEST. I really can't think of anything bad to say. Joy was just so accommodating and made sure our stay in her home was wonderful.

    Theresa2017-09-13T00:00:00Z
  • My husband and I needed a place to stay close to our daughter's home in Historic Oakwood. The private room at Joy's "filled the bill." It was a perfect location and the private entrance was a plus. Our length of stay was eleven days; we spent the night at Joy's, fixed a quick breakfast, and then spent the rest of the day at our daughter's. The amount of space at Joy's was adequate most of the time; after a few mornings we felt the breakfast area was a little small for the two of us, but it was manageable. The only other concern was the bed; it seemed to us to have a sway in the middle. When we asked Joy, she was very open to the quick remedy of flipping the mattress. We did that and it was helpful; though a new mattress might be in order. I know this is a tricky issue, as everyone has different sleep preferences and needs. Overall, the House of Joy was a great choice for us and an excellent value. We appreciated Joy's attentiveness to our needs in regard to the length of our stay. We enjoyed our conversations with her, and we loved being right in the middle of this charming neighborhood.

    Linda2017-10-06T00:00:00Z
  • Joy’s place was tidy and cute. We had a lot of trouble with our flight getting into NC and Joy was communicative and friendly. Would stay again!

Located in the heart of historic Oakwood, our newly remodeled private studio apartment within a wonderful 1920s building is ready to host your weekend getaway with easy access to all of downtown's dining, shopping and festivals or for a business trip a few short blocks from our state's capitol. (Please note that some photos include the building's common lobby area. The unit itself is a single-room studio plus bathroom.)
  • Simple, clean space in a beautiful neighborhood. This apartment helps me to be highly productive and comfortable while traveling for business. Will continue to book here as long as its available!

    Becca2017-04-14T00:00:00Z
  • Friendly owners and a perfect fit for a visit in Raleigh. The historic Oakwood setting really feels like a bit of southern living with big wrap around decks and plenty of shade. Nice and close to the night life but away from all the noise, it's great.

    Danny2017-08-27T00:00:00Z
  • Wow. What a place. I stayed here for Raleigh 70.3 and really glad I did. It's a great little flat spitting distance from downtown Raleigh. There are some great bars/restaurants 10min walk from the house. Super easy. Michael/J were super friendly and accommodating too. Absolutely brilliant hosts and I couldn't recommend enough staying here! You'll have a blast.

    Ben2017-06-04T00:00:00Z
  • I don't know why anyone would stay at a hotel when there are hosts like Michael and his crew on this service. They were all very accommodating, responsive and the apartment made me feel like I was at my own place. They even offered up a bike for me to use to get around town which was not an advertised amenity. It helped me greatly. If I ever come to town again, I hope to stay here. The apartment was very charming and well kept. 5 stars across the board. Thank you again!!!!

    Erica2017-05-04T00:00:00Z
  • The house and neighborhood are beautiful! Very quiet. Everything was as described/pictured and communication was a breeze. I did miss having a TV to watch at bedtime, but hardly a deal breaker. Thanks Michael and J!

    Michael2017-05-17T00:00:00Z
  • A truly stellar front porch and a beautiful studio apartment close to downtown restaurants.

    Sarah2017-06-28T00:00:00Z
  • Beautifully furnished in a downtown location. Everything you need is in this cozy apartment.

    Brandon2017-05-14T00:00:00Z
  • The host was very welcoming. Plenty of amenities like shampoo and bodywash. He even left pastries (with a bag from the (URL HIDDEN) I'm going back there next week on my own to buy some scones), and he left water, beer, wine, and sodas (enough variety to meet anyone's needs. The description was clear that this is a one room rental and that the hallway photos are not actually part of the rental itself. It was small, but perfect size and style for someone who wants to be near local action and not hanging out in the room.

Located in Oakwood's Historic District, enjoy our 1899 bungalow surrounded by the beautiful garden. Your suite has a private entrance, queen bed, refrigerator, microwave, coffee maker, tea kettle, hair dryer, etc. Walking distance to downtown Raleigh to enjoy great restaurants, bars and unique shops. We also do not charge a cleaning fee.
Our suite is named for Trish's mom (Cookie) who loved to garden and was our inspiration to buy the house and renovate the garden. The room is a cozy room in the rear of the house with views of the garden. Private entrance and private bathroom.
We have the best neighborhood in Raleigh where the neighbors are friends. A very social neighborhood with many activities and get togethers. There are 2 types of people in Raleigh ones that live in Oakwood and ones that want to live here.
  • I had an amazing stay at Cookie's Garden Suite. Very welcoming and amazing surprises in front of the room door nearly every day. The description fits very well to what you will find. Neighborhood is very calm and beautiful - walking distance to the bars, restaurants downtown. I would immediately book this place again.

    Marius2016-05-06T00:00:00Z
  • Steve & Trish's place is a true gem! The neighborhood is quiet, central to everything you could possibly want, & it's a clean & safe place to stay. We were here for the Rock n Roll Raleigh Half Marathon & we easily walked everywhere we needed to go. The room is equipped with just about anything you can think of - so don't worry if you forget anything - they have it! And the treats they dropped off each evening outside our door.. So thoughtful. Would recommend to anyone! We will for sure be back.

    Ciara2017-04-03T00:00:00Z
  • Steve and Trish are exceptional hosts for your next stay in Raleigh. Their house is within walking distance to downtown (or atleast a cheap Uber ride) which made our stay with them even more enjoyable. We were pleasantly surprised as well at the cookies that were left by our door on our second day - so delicious!

    Lauren Gaddy2017-07-02T00:00:00Z
  • Steve and Trish are wonderful hosts. We are a local art gallery and book our national art instructors into their Airbnb, Cookie's Garden. We have never heard anything negative about their stay, in fact the opposite. The location is fantastic for the N. Person St area and downtown. Our instructor was late arriving and he felt relieved the hosts were there to aid his check-in.

  • Wonderful hosts, wonderful house. Definitely coming back if I have the chance.

    Salim2015-03-15T00:00:00Z
  • Staying at Cookie’s Garden was absolutely the highlight of my trip to Raleigh. Trish and Steve are such wonderful hosts who really go out of their way to make sure guests feel welcome and comfortable. The garden is an absolute fairytale. It was so much fun to go out there in the evening after a long day of meetings, and in the mornings with a cup of coffee to gear up for the day. Inside the room was every bit as special and inspirational as outside, with every detail attended to in order to ensure a comfortable stay. Thanks, Steve and Trish, for the lovely accommodation and wonderful visit.

    Lori2016-09-28T00:00:00Z
  • We were in town visiting our daughter at NCSU, and decided to try something other than hotels. This was a lovely room off the back garden at Steve and Trish's home, and it was offered at very reasonable rates. My wife and I didn't think we'd have much time to enjoy the beautiful garden area, but we were able to sit a spell one evening, and both Steve and Trish joined us for a wonderful chat about their place and their gorgeous neighborhood. Such friendly people! Hearing we were partial to craft beer, Trish came back out with a tray of a couple left over craft beer from a recent party they hosted, and stemmed glassware for my wife and I to share. What a nice touch! My wife and I then walked the neighborhood up to The Station for a late dinner and craft beer before returning on a different route to see more homes lit up. I wish we could have had more time walking this wonderful Oakwood neighborhood, and enjoying the garden right outside Cookie's Suite. Steve and Trish, it was wonderful to meet you and be able to get to know more about you, your home, and your neighborhood. Thanks so much for sharing!

    Kevin2014-05-12T00:00:00Z
  • Steve and Trish are excellent hosts and run a top notch airbnb which is in the perfect location near downtown in a historic area and walk-able to our business. Comfort, separate area w/ private bath, a little courtyard and great price all add up to a great stay.

Oakwood is an amazing neighborhood with interesting homes and lots of history. Perfect walking distance to all that downtown has to offer as well as restaurants just a few blocks away.
  • We loved Darin and Allison’s place. The location was perfect im historic downtown Raleigh. We were just a few blocks from all the action. We walked to breakfast and dinner and tonthe weddinf we attended at the local threatee. The house was great. Very nicely decorated and comfortable. The porch is so sweet. Plenty is space to spread out. Loved the Sonos music system! Would stay again and highly recommend. Have fun!

  • Unique home in a cool area, Oakwood. Safe location close to a lot. You can bike, walk, or a take a cheap uber/lyft. We were very happy with our stay and Darin always communicated very quickly.

  • My wife and 2 teenage kids needed a place to stay for the week while our floors were being re-done. We know and love downtown Raleigh, so we looked in the Historic Oakwood area and found Darrin's place. It stood out immediately for the value and location. When we arrived our first thoughts were "exceeded expectations". The home is almost 100 years old, but it's very well maintained and decorated. The kitchen is very modern and you can tell it was designed by someone who likes to entertain. The overall layout is actually practical, which is rare for older homes - It's a very open, airy bottom floor and then the upstairs has very large bedrooms with closets (another rare thing for older homes). The master suite has a adjoining office, which worked perfectly for me since I work from home. The bath has a very large garden tub and shower. There is a lot of trim and finish work - which you would expect in an older home but in Oakwood it is not very common. The front porch is huge with comfortable furniture that just begs you to lounge at night and enjoy the historic district. My teenagers loved the fact that you could just walk to the nightlife of Raleigh, with no shortage of excellent restaurants or things to do. It's a quick drive to grocery stores, another rare thing for Raleigh. Overall I can't find anything negative about the stay. Darrin and Allison are great hosts (on arrival there were 2 bottles of nice wine awaiting us), they are very quick to respond and are just around the corner if anything is needed. I would not hesitate at all to recommend this home for either locals looking to have a get away weekend in downtown or for those travelling from out of the area.

    James2017-08-23T00:00:00Z
  • Staying in this unique house was such a treat for my close ones and guests who attended our party. In addition to beautiful interior, it is very comfy and has everything to make your stay comfortable. Moreover, the hosts are very helpful and timely with any questions or concerns you may have. No doubt, great value!!!

This is the perfect little spot to call home base while exploring Raleigh. Steps away from the Person Street district (Yellow Dog, the Station, Pelagic Beer) and a 25 min walk (or free R-line bus ride) to everything else downtown has to offer!
Beautiful carriage house, detached from the main home by interior staircase and completely private. The suite has a half-bath attached, with a full guest shower available down the interior steps to our home. You'll have access to a kitchenette, living space and bath while visiting.
This is a quiet and safe neighborhood very close to Downtown Raleigh and walking distance to William Peace University, Downtown and the Person Street district.
  • The hosts were very communicative and the listing was clean and accurate....the space was above their garage with a half bath and access to a shower in the main living quarters. The house is on a dead end road and felt very safe. I think it's worth mentioning that even though a door and a hallway/stairs separates the rental and owners space you can hear the family conversation (if you don't have the tv (URL HIDDEN) did not bother me but might have if I was wanting a private romantic evening

    Lori2016-10-23T00:00:00Z
  • Really can't give this place enough stars! So close to anything you may need in town. Jay and Mary are GREAT hosts. They are out of your way, but maintain open communication in case there's anything you may need during your stay with them. The room was very clean and welcoming. We plan on staying here for any future trips to Raleigh! Don't hesitate on booking this one.

  • Great hosts!! Clean, friendly and great local recommendations!! Thank you for a beautiful place to stay.

    Cara2017-06-20T00:00:00Z
  • We absolutely loved staying at Jay & Mary's. It was very accommodating. They even had coffee with organic creamer left for us along with some snacks! Also when we told them we were bringing our little one they had s pack and play set up for us in the room. It was a very sweet gesture. You will not find this type of attention to detail in s hotel! The room is separate from the house like a mother in law suite. The space was very clean and tidy. The bed was comfortable and the sheets were soft. We actually loved so many things about this room we jotted a few things down to incorporate into our own Airbnb! The room has a half bath so a shower isn't in it, but this wasn't a problem for us. They made us feel very welcome into using the shower on the main floor. We absolutely would recommend staying at Jay & Mary's. We will likely book the room again soon when visiting friends!

    Jenn & Jon2016-05-31T00:00:00Z
  • Delightful is the most accurate description of Jay and Mary's home! My sister and I were quite in love with our room and wished we could have stayed for more than one night! Mary was superb in communication. We would absolutely stay here again and give our highest reccomendation! Also, the bed is SO comfortable!

    Taylor2016-08-14T00:00:00Z
  • Lovely home and fabulous neighborhood. There was a large bedroom and 1/2 bath that is completely private and separate from the main house. The full bath is located in the house. I hadn't seen the family beforehand so it felt a little strange coming into the home in the morning to shower. As it turned out, they were lovely and welcoming. Maybe I missed this info in the long email they sent. I had been traveling a lot, and was tired. It would have been helpful to have that info waiting for me in print form so i didn't need to search for it in my email. But overall, this is a lovely place.

  • Our stay at George's house was just perfect--the first time I walked in the door I told my husband we needed to stay another day (we were on a tight schedule so we couldn't, but I would have loved it). It is simply and elegantly decorated, with every amenity and detail thought through completely. After a long day of apartment hunting, my husband and I relaxed with some hot tea, wine and hulu (no commercials, woo hoo!) in the tastefully appointed living room with a delightful view of the garden. Any time we need a Raleigh AirBnb we will certainly book this place again.

  • Gorgeous, freshly renovated place. Fully equipped kitchen. Appreciated the washer and dryer. This is the nicest Airbnb we've been to!

    Gris2017-10-14T00:00:00Z
  • I can't recommend this place enough, I'd live here if I could! It is truly set up for you at every detail. I stayed for a business conference all week and was able to cook every meal from George's kitchen, and do laundry and return with a full suitcase of clean clothes. Everything is immaculate, tasteful, and well thought through. I was happy to have stayed an extra day after the conference, which I spent working from the house and relaxing in this beautiful space. I walked downtown every day, which was about 20 minutes for me. The walk along Davie street is easy and quiet. I would absolutely stay here again!

    Andrea2017-09-30T00:00:00Z
  • George's place is gorgeous! The pictures are beautiful and it's even better in person. The house is spacious, impeccably clean and extremely comfortable for a traveling couple or small family. I was visiting Raleigh for a work conference and I could easily walk to the Convention center, downtown area and Moore Square. There is also a driveway for the property and street parking, so you could also commute. Uber & Lyft can take you most anywhere for less than $10. Whether you are looking for a nice place to relax and enjoy Raleigh - or just a place to lay your head, this airbnb is truly a gem. George has designed a very classy space, with all sorts of thoughtful touches to make your stay wonderful. There is a peaceful patio and backyard you can enjoy, spacious kitchen, very comfortable bed, his & hers closet space to put clothing away, super soft towels and apple tv. I would gladly stay again whenever returning to Raleigh!

    Alice2017-08-13T00:00:00Z
  • I really enjoyed staying at George's place. It has every amenity you can think of. Clean, tranquil, closed to downtown Raleigh and the RDU airport. Would definitely stay here again. - Delighted

  • This condo was PERFECT for us. Very close to downtown, but in a quiet area. Spacious, comfortable, modern, clean. I played show at Hopscotch Fest, and it was a wonderful place to unwind and spend time to recharge. Shay is an incredible host, very attentive, accommodating, and kind. 100% positive feedback. Cozy 550 sqft 1 bedroom, 1 bathroom condo in the midst of downtown! Easily walk-able to tons of restaurants, museums, bars, breweries, Glenwood Avenue, Fayetteville St, City Market, Seaboard station, Warehouse district, etc!
Our condo is located in charming Historic Oakwood in downtown Raleigh. The condo is in an old ranch that has been converted into 3 condos. You will have the entire end unit condo to yourselves- (bedroom, bathroom, laundry, den, and even an outdoor space). Our condo would be ideal for 2 travelers, but can hold up to 4 with an air mattress (that we will provide). The condo is 3 blocks from all that Person Street has to offer (Person Street Bar, The Station, Crawford & Son, William & Company, etc). It is within a mile of Glenwood Avenue (Raleigh Beer Garden, XOCO Mexican, Cornerstone, etc.) as well as Fayetteville Street (Raleigh Times, Beasley's, Capital City Tavern, etc.). The Uber rides are almost always the minimum of around $6 unless rates are surging. WiFi & TV available with digital antenna and Roku with Netflix, HBO Go, etc. :)
Historic Oakwood is North Carolina's largest, in tact 19th century neighborhood! Take a walk around the neighborhood and experience all the charm it has to offer. There is a coffee shop and a sandwich shop INSIDE the neighborhood, and tons of restaurants and bars on the bordering streets. Every winter there is a candlelight tour where you get to tour some magnificent homes. Try to check it out if you are here during the tour!
  • This condo was so cute. I loved the decorations and that we could walk everywhere. There are a ton of cool restaurants and bars right up the street. The bed was comfy and the place was very clean. We will definitely stay here again next time we are in Raleigh.

This beautiful residence in Historic Oakwood is a a short walk to Downtown Raleigh. My charming home, built in 1926 was lovingly restored in 1999. It sports an outdoor living room, gourmet kitchen, with art collections and comfortable living spaces.
This inviting upstairs bedroom is light, spacious and private with a balcony that offers an outdoor sitting space. The comfortable queen size bed is fitted with the best sheets and pillows. The private bathroom is adjacent to the bedroom and features the original claw foot tub with a handheld shower
I live in a unique and friendly neighborhood with everything to satisfy foodies, night lifers and history seekers. The restaurants, coffee shops, wine establishments and pharmacy are only a few of the immediate and well located attractions in our area. The Oakwood neighborhood hosts the Candlelight Christmas Tour (Dec 13 & 14, 2014), Easter & 4th of July Parades, The Oakwood Garden Tour ( spring 2015) and Tours of the Oakwood Cemetery. Simply walking around the neighborhood is appealing.
  • The house was exactly as described. It was very comfortable and has a wonderful back porch. The house is also very well located in central Raleigh. Terry was a very gracious host. I would recommend the house and Terry!

    Bill2015-05-11T00:00:00Z
  • Our recent stay with Terry was absolutely wonderful! Her home is lovely - everything about it is peaceful and charming. I enjoyed waking up to a bath in the antique claw foot tub, spending a few quiet moments on the elegant back porch and having the opportunity to chat a little with our delightful host. Terry has a true gift of southern hospitality and is genuinely gracious and kind. She actually waited up to welcome us ( we didn't arrive until after midnight) and helped us settle in after a long day. Staying with Terry was like being welcomed home by a dear friend. I only wish we could have stayed longer !

    mimi2015-07-27T00:00:00Z
  • Beautiful house, Great friendly host, Amazing neighbourhood. Shame we couldn't have spent more time there. Look forward to our next visit.

    Jon2015-04-06T00:00:00Z
  • I'm not sure I can enhance the stellar reviews Terry already has! Everything written about her and her home we found to be true. She was gracious, flexible and charming. The house is adorable and *exceptionally* clean. The bedding IS really to die for, the back porch is seductive, and if you pay attention, everywhere you look there are tasteful and colorful touches-- from the artwork to the pottery and decorative objects to the rugs and even the best-looking toilet-paper holder I've ever seen. Having worked in 5-star hotels, I am spoiled for so many accommodations. Terry's place is the kind of find that makes you look for ANY excuse to get back there! GO!! Just do it! My only regret: that we didn't have more time...

    Molly2015-10-13T00:00:00Z
  • We enjoyed our stay with Terry very much. Terry was a very welcoming and gracious hostess. The space was very pleasant - bright and nicely decorated- immaculately clean. We especially enjoyed a wonderful breakfast together in the outdoor room and appreciate her attention to us despite it being a busy holiday weekend. Thank you , Terry! The neighborhood was great - convenient and safe.

    Gail2015-12-16T00:00:00Z
  • Terry's home is absolutely lovely, and located on a quiet street in one of the prettiest parts of Historic Oakwood. Although she was not home during our stay, she left us a welcoming note and some goodies in the kitchen, along with great recommendations for things to see and do around the area. Our bedroom/bathroom accommodations were also well thought out. I would definitely recommend Terry to anyone looking for a relaxing get-away !

    Pam2015-10-19T00:00:00Z
  • This was my first AirBnB experience and I can't imagine a better way to start things off. Terry was an exquisite host. My room was extremely clean and very welcoming and the entire home is absolutely lovely. I was hard-pressed to leave the back porch. It is just stunning. The neighborhood is a lovely, historic area that is walkable to many restaurants, the downtown area and the historic cemetery. Terry welcomed me warmly with offers of something to drink or eat and then plenty of information about the area since I was new to Raleigh. Her knowledge of the area is extensive! She was nice enough to include me in her plans in case I wanted to join her on her outings and by the end of my visit I had a new friend. However, she was very astute at recognizing when I needed privacy, so I never felt pressured to socialize. Terry was a perfect host and her home is a wonderful mixture of elegant and comfortable. I give her my highest recommendation.

    Adriane2015-05-25T00:00:00Z
  • This was my first time using Airbnb so I was a little wary at first. Terry welcomed me with open arms! Her home is in a perfect location within walking distance to many shops and restaurants. Unfortunately, I only stayed for one night so I didn't get a chance to explore. Her home is beautifully decorated with wonderful art. Terry is probably the MOST hospitable person I have ever met! She treated me how I imagine she would treat her own son. She has snacks and beverages available and even cooked us a delicious breakfast to share. I am honored to have met such a wonderful woman. I would recommend her home to anyone traveling to Raleigh or even people who live in the area and are just looking for a night away from home.

This place is for picky lodging snobs, white comforter. no mystery towels. Welcome home!
Artful couple of rooms, galley kitchen, and full bath/shower/toilet pied-a -tierre studio. i adore this little writer's/artist nook in the burgeoning city of raleigh. it's close to everything. it has a really long porch where you can enjoy a nap in an NC made Sluice Hammock, cocktails or wine on the teak fold out chairs, or just sit and take in the rain/sun/breeze on the trees. coffee and teas/ and misc things you may forget are yours for the taking/enjoyment or walk 1 block to Brewerks and get your fav. roast w/ scones or breakfast! Other Beverages available by donation. it's my favorite apt/abode/place i've ever lived including europe/San Fran/nyc/DC. There's a full bedroom with a living room/office/study/studio where a comfy queen mattress in the bedroom, and a high end drop down day bed/"futon" awaits in the living room. There is an doorless doorway that connects main bedroom + kitchen + living room. Simply draw the curtain for more privacy. It's not the Marriott nor am I in the hospitality business but I've created a warm place that when I'm away I can offset the rent so I can scratch my travel itch. It's an old creaky wooden floors with drafty cracks under a sink or two. Study the pictures read the reviews. You'll love it.
It's a quiet well manicured historic area. Dogs being walked, runners, european eatery, bike riders, oak tree lined streets. all under the shadow of a big city.
  • Pro's: Good neighborhood/location Porch is great! Con's: Kitchen lacking essentials Messy/Cluttered No wine like he said Just a basic place to split with 1 to 3 others. 4 people would be a little tight, but doable.

  • Matt was great and filled me in on the local area. The loft is a perfect getaway yet close to downtown Raleigh. I'd highly recommend Matt's place for location and value.

    John2016-06-25T00:00:00Z
  • Matt's apartment was just gorgeous. Truly one of the most beautiful little homes I've seen. There was some beautiful art around the place and fascinating books to read, while sitting on the balcony. It was really great of Matt to leave lots of bagels, tea and coffee for us to use. The neighbourhood is lovely, some gorgeous houses to look at when you wander around the streets. It was very centrally located too. Matt was a great host as well, very accomodating when we had to unexpectedly add a person to our booking at last minute. Thanks Matt. Overall, we had nothing to complain about!

    Brigid2015-10-07T00:00:00Z
  • Had a great stay at Matt's place. Love the character his apt offered, especially the patio! Great older neighborhood. Walkable to bars and restaurants. Beers and bagels in the fridge, what more can you ask for!

    Hannah2015-11-02T00:00:00Z
  • Matt was a great host that was easy to get in contact with. His apartment was just as described and a short easy walk to downtown Raleigh. Although he didn't have cable so we could watch the football game, we found being cut off from cable and internet to be very refreshing and relaxing. We would highly recommend this artist retreat to anyone who is looking to get an authentic raleigh experience.

    Jen & Tom2015-09-23T00:00:00Z
  • This place should not be listed as a 2 BR or as having 3 beds. It is also infested with cockroaches, cluttered and the shower has mold. The first seriously misleading claim was the 2 Bedrooms claim. Here's what it really looks like: you open the front door into a small cluttered living room, the next room is a bedroom with a bed and there is a kitchen and bathroom. That is the whole place. No door in the doorframe between the living room and bedroom, no curtains on the windows in either room so the sun woke us up early. Quite a stretch of the imagination to call all rooms that aren't kitchen and bathroom, "bedrooms". Then there was the misleading claim of having 3 beds, which was one of the main reasons my party picked this place. What that turned out to mean was one queen size bed, one peeling fake leather pullout couch that when I opened it up, 3 cockroaches flew out of, and one CAMPING COT. The camping cot was the most absurd excuse for a bed, it was one of those green canvas folding things, it looked like a poolside lounge chair that you were supposed to sleep on. Another thing that may not matter to people with cars was that he lied to me about the distance between his place and the Raleigh Convention Center, telling me it was less then half a mile away when it was actually 1.3 miles away by (SENSITIVE CONTENTS HIDDEN) maps. That makes a big difference when you'd been planning to walk to your business conference every day. Thankfully Airbnb was very helpful and we were able to get out of this place after one night and get our money for the rest of the stay refunded (minus taxes), but I wouldn't wish this place on anyone which is why I bothered to write this review. I hope Matt will change his listing to more accurately describe his place: 1 BR, 1 bed.

    Bronwyn2015-09-30T00:00:00Z
  • Great stay at Matt's place. Funky artist loft apartment for sure. Close to downtown but quiet at the same time. Matt was very helpful and quick with responses when needed.

  • Michael's house is extremely well kept, clean and comfortable. The cleaning deposit is worth it and it shows. He is also extremely friendly and accommodating. I travel a lot for work and experience a lot of AirBnB stays, and I can say that THIS experience was the best so far for me. You won't be disappointed, Raleigh is a great town, and this is a great place to kick your feet up.

  • Awesome host, awesome house! The house was fantastic, everything was very nice, clean and perfect, couldn't imagine for better place. Would stay again and recommend to a friend!

    Vahe2017-05-14T00:00:00Z
  • We really enjoyed meeting 8 mo old Banjo, he is so cute and fun - a big pup with a playful heart! We also really appreciated the hospitality - making local restaurant recomendations and even bringing us scones from a local spot, which were delicious! Michael even made coffee in the morning (choose drip, french press, aeropress, perculator) and it was soooo appreciated (we love our coffee)! We have never stayed at an Airbnb where the rental was a room inside the home - usually we do an entire home or apartment - and we really were pleased with the experience. Michael was a great conversationalist and host, but allowed us the privacy while we were there, as well, and the layout caters to a guest stay, having a bedroom and bathroom separated by the kitchen and living room from his personal master bed/bath. He even went so far as to have hotel-like amenities available (toiletries, plenty of hangers, closet and drawer space, work/computer desk) all very clean and neat. A 5-star stay, highly recommend.

    mary2017-09-04T00:00:00Z
  • One of the best Airbnbs I've ever stayed at; Michael was smiley and kind, his place was immaculately clean, thoughtfully appointed, & gorgeously decorated. Thank you, I shall return!

  • Michael was a caring and awesome host! For sure going to look him up when I come back.

  • We had a great experience staying at Michael's home! The beds were very comfortable, the house absolutely gorgeous, and we really appreciated the nice personal touches like coffee in the mornings, and suggestions for local spots to check out. We had a lot of fun with Banjo as well!

  • Mandi's loft was my first ever airbnb experience and she has set the bar high for my future trips. Her loft was affordable, comfortable, quiet, and had everything we could have needed and then some. She really went above and beyond with having fresh robes, a bottle of wine, fruit and a sweet snack waiting for us when we arrived. It's the small details that really made our first experience exceptional. We even came back for a second night on our way back to Maryland because it was so convenient and we knew we wouldn't be disappointed!

In a great location, super close to downtown, very easy to find and access. Being able to park in the detached garage was awesome. The studio was very spacious with fantastic decor and the bed was very comfortable! Kitchen was well stocked and there were a lot of toiletries in the bathroom and Mandi was super nice and responded very quickly! We wish we could have stayed longer than a night but will for sure stay again in the future and recommend to our family and friends!

  • We had a wonderful time in this apartment. So clean and comfortable. The pool area is great, with foosball, shuffle board, and a pool table nearby. Such an easy walk to get to some wonderful spots downtown. We didn't use our vehicle for the 48 hours we were there. The hosts were excellent-responded (usually within minutes) via email yor very question we sent them (regarding restaurant recommendations, etc). Highly recommend this place!

    Mary2016-08-21T00:00:00Z
  • We stayed one night in the apartment. All the indications were clear to find the key and get to the apartment. Everything was clean and the apartment is well equipped. The only little remark i have is that you must have a deep sleep to have the sofa as you bed in the living room (the fridge is a little bit noisy). But all the rest was great, especially the pool and the gym in the residence.

    Mathieu2016-09-11T00:00:00Z
  • Liz was awesome, super communicative and always available for any questions or concerns. The neighborhood is great, walking distance to everything in downtown Raleigh, and the building felt very safe and secure. It was full with apples, strawbery preserves, fresh baked bread, wine, maps, recommendation and snacks!! The fire pit outside was amazing and the ambiance was just perfect! Person Street Bar is a pleasant walk in front of beautiful homes and waving neighbors. From the house you'll have easy access to quality food, breakfast, lunch and dinner. Don't skip Pharmacy, it's delicious and has a jelly and pickled fruit/veggie bar. The fire pit is a nice option for staying in and relaxing in a quiet backyard. The entire house is very well restored and it's all new. The bathrooms are clean and very nice - there's no ick factor here. Our clean kitchen was fully stocked for use. It's a quick Lyft ride to downtown, or a safe and pleasant walk from the house. Head north to NOFO for some amazing

We have the best neighborhood in Raleigh where the neighbors are friends. A very social neighborhood with many activities and get togethers. There are 2 types of people in Raleigh: those that live in Oakwood and those that want to live here. We live just up the street (100 feet) from our very favorite pastry/coffee/ breakfast spot, Brewerks, a popular local hang. We have very close restaurants/bars, bakery, shopping. Some favorite eateries are the Station , Bad Daddy's, 18 Seaboard, Person St Cafe, Stanbury , Crawford and Son and of course Krispy Kreme .... and more are coming every day! Our neighborhood is very walkable, people really enjoy Oakwood.
  • Katie and Aaron's home was a wonderful place to spend a long weekend. Everything was incredibly comfortable and clean. The location was perfect, everything we wanted to do was within a 15 minute walk and the neighborhood was lovely. Their hospitality surpassed any expectations we had. We hope to visit again soon!

    Krista2017-10-16T00:00:00Z
  • Katie was an exceptional host. When I first arrived, she was there to give me the grand tour. Her house is beautiful and as centrally located as you can get, yet still on a peaceful and quiet street. From the comfy bed to the free coffee, and even a laundry center, all my needs and expectations were met and exceeded. I can safely say that this was the nicest place I've ever stayed, and I would highly recommend it to anyone who wants to spoil themselves with all the comforts of home.

    Jon2017-09-04T00:00:00Z
  • We very much enjoyed our stay in Katie's lovely home. Everything was just as described and pictured - possibly even cuter! The neighborhood was very walkable with a great little coffee shop a block away and several fun, cool restaurants and bars within a mile or so. I will definitely stay again if given the opportunity.

  • I had a really nice stay at Abby's place. The neighborhood is great -- very close to downtown Raleigh with lots of things to do nearby, but relaxed and quiet at the same time. Parking is easy. The apartment itself was very clean and well kept, not to mention charming and full of light. It also has central air -- crucial for the South in the summer. Abby's instructions made it easy to check in once I arrived, and she was very communicative before and during my stay, including giving me some great recommendations for dinner/bar spots. Overall I would recommend giving this place a try. If I come back to Raleigh I'll definitely be staying here if it's available.

  • Abby has a great apartment in an awesome location. The apartment is as described/pictured and very clean. Abby was nice enough to leave a few breakfast items and a bottle of wine. We had plenty of toiletries and towels. The bed was comfortable and staying there was so much nicer than being in a hotel. The location is great and we were able to stay all weekend without having to move our car. We had a fantastic weekend and would recommend this apartment and location to others!

  • Great location in the heart of Raleigh. Check in details were clear and Beth was very responsive during my stay. Internet wifi was good and it was great that Beth provided a multiway charger. I hadn't realised it was a studio rather than a one bedroom apartment but the space was more than enough for me. I enjoyed my stay in the apartment and would definitely stay at Beth's again if I wanted to stay in downtown Raleigh

Her space is clean, uncluttered, and quiet. Plus, it's in an AWESOME location - just a 5 minute walk from the heart of downtown Raleigh.

    Steven2017-09-13T00:00:00Z
  • This is one of the better spots I've stayed in. It's perfect for one or two people visiting the Raleigh area, specifically if you're looking for something in the downtown area. Great location to anywhere downtown, with a few good bars and restaurants close enough to walk to. Place was very clean, with a few toiletries available, (soap, shampoo, conditioner). There was even an available charging usb for a few different types of devices. The host was great, and more than accommodating. You can't beat this Airbnb for the price and location. The only thing I really didn't like, was the check in. To get the key you have to pick it up and drop it off at a different location. It's not too far at all, but it would be nice if there were an electronic kepad, or the lock box was right there, ( to behonest, it probably was an inconvenience to me only because my flight out was 555am). You can't beat this place, book it...(URL HIDDEN)

We welcome everyone. Our cozy cottage in downtown Raleigh offers a private upstairs with an extremely comfortable bed in a room that will make you feel at home. Your own private bathroom has an antique clawfoot tub/shower original to the 1940 home. Easy walk downtown!
This room is situated on the second floor of a comfortable, clean, and newly remodeled historic house just a few blocks from Moore Square in downtown Raleigh. We offer a private room and bathroom in our home located moments from downtown. We ask you keep in mind this is not a whole house rental so please be respectful as the rest of the house is small and is considered personal space. In the room, you can relax on an uber-comfy Sealy queen-sized bed while watching 450+ channels on your LCD TV (including HBO, Showtime, etc) or utilizing our super-fast 24mbps WiFi internet. You also have your own stylish bathroom outfitted with a clawfoot tub/shower. Basics such as toiletries and towels are provided, in addition to a hair dryer, straightener & ironing board. You even have your own Keurig & microfridge/freezer in your room :) For your security, the house is equipped with an ADT security system and keyless door entry code, unique to each guest. This room offers traditional travel amenities such as privacy and autonomy, yet feels comfortably familiar. There is free parking on the street directly in front of the house. You can occasionally enjoy a glass of wine or beer with the hosts on an afternoon or evening :) You can make use of the exercise equipment we have such as a Bosu ball, kettle bells, resistance bands, etc. Additionally, you can use the kitchen appliances and utensils if you wish, provided you bring your own food and beverages (coordinate with us to make sure it's available).. just be mindful it's a shared space. Please use the fridge provided for you upstairs. It's important to note that SMOKING is never allowed on this property. The house has a friendly dog, a harlequin Dane/lab mix named Oliver, who just LOVES guests. Don't worry, he's super lazy and will sleep 23 hours a day. He's also accompanied by an adorable grey Persian-Himalayan cat named Monster :) They're both extremely friendly and pose no harm while you're here. The 1/3 acre property also has a privacy fenced-in backyard for Oliver. Many of your needs can be satisfied by walking just a few blocks downtown. The neighborhood is transitional (trendy & very up&coming in Raleigh), with mostly single-family dwellings and 2 apartment complexes. There are many restaurants, bars, convenience stores, and coffee shops within walking distance from the home. We can't wait to welcome you in our home & share our love for Raleigh with you!!
The neighborhood is eclectic and diverse, and it's extremely close to downtown. It's not right in the middle of the traffic so it's quiet and has ample free parking on the street, yet it's close enough to walk everywhere. We love it!
  • This is a delightful home only a handful of blocks from the center/centre of Raleigh. Sara and Lindy give you your own space on the top level of their house. They also provide a comprehensive guide to their home and tourist information about their city. Try their top-rated restaurant... you won't be disappointed. Lindy kindly took me to a venue that I wanted to go to - which undoubtedly saved me from getting lost! Thanks for the host, guys.

    Steve2014-09-22T00:00:00Z
  • I can not say enough good things about this AirB&B experience. Sara and Lindy's home is adorable and they have all the amenities you could need (and more)! They even have an adorable cat and dog that are so friendly. Sara and Lindy are fantastic hostesses and I 100% recommend their home should your travels take you to Raleigh. Next time I should need an AirB&B in Raleigh it will most certainly be here.

    Cakey2014-09-29T00:00:00Z
  • Great house and hosts. I'll be back again. It was also really nice being so close to the restaurants, etc. near Moore Square. I'll recommend Raleigh Times if you're looking for a good beer and burger.

    Billy2015-03-12T00:00:00Z
  • Sara met us outside as we arrived at the time we both had arranged. She showed us the accommodations after introducing us to the resident "watchdog" Oliver. The room was neat, clean and well appointed. The private bathroom was also clean & ready for us. Fortunately, we are physically able as it could be a problem for some older guests to climb into the tub/shower. We appreciated the trust as we were free to come & go as we wished without the hosts in evidence. Sara also provided instant oatmeal for a brief breakfast before our morning commitment. All was well as far as we are concerned. Thank you for a convenient & accommodating place to stay.

    LYNN2015-05-08T00:00:00Z
  • These two are great hosts! Close location to downtown, super-clean room etc, and friendly pets are just a few of the positives of booking with them. I had a terrific time in Raleigh and couldn't speak more fondly of Sara & Lindy.

    Joseph2013-06-23T00:00:00Z
  • I only stayed one night with Sara and Lindy but they were very kind and welcoming. Their house is really nice and big and the room is spacious and cozy. It's 10-min walk from downtown, so couldn't be better located. They recommended me a great restaurant to have dinner too!

    DANIEL2014-10-08T00:00:00Z
  • Sara, Lindy, Oliver and Playdo are awesome! This is the perfect place to stay. Sara and Lindy know how to make anyone feel comfortable. The room is private, nicely set up. They are more than gracious. Everything is near by. So many options. I had intense training classes-it was nice to come back to a place that felt like home to unwind. Thank you, thank you, thank you! You ladies rock it!

    Kristy2014-03-04T00:00:00Z
  • My best friend lives in Raleigh, but she has a couple of roommates so Airbnb looked like a good alternative to expensive, impersonal hotels. What a great first experience with Airbnb! Sara was an amazing host. Sadly, we didn’t get to meet Lindy, but that just means we’ll have to come back again! We hit some traffic and weather on our drive to Raleigh from RI, and Sara was graciously accommodating of our late arrival. Ollie the dog greeted us on the porch of Sara and Lindy’s charming 1940s home, and Monster/Playdoh the cat wasn’t far behind! Sara had beer in the fridge for us and gave us a quick rundown of the house’s features. The keyless entry was a dream, and we had the second floor of the house to ourselves, complete with our own bathroom. The bedroom was a dream. What a comfortable bed! There was ample storage for our belongings, as well as a TV, wifi, and a binder full of information about the house and downtown Raleigh. Sara wasn’t around much, but she was always available via text if we needed her (thankfully, we didn’t!). The location of the house was great – a quick 10-15 walk or $3-$5 uber ride downtown. My partner and I felt extremely safe, even when we walked home from a bar at night. There were coffee cups set out for us in front of the Keurig each morning (a nice touch), and a nice metal pitcher and glasses in the room that we could fill from the brita dispenser in the fridge. We had a great time in Raleigh. If you’re thinking of visiting, definitely do so! It’s a great city. And if you do, you can’t go wrong staying with Sara and Lindy.

Our neighborhood was in USA Today as "10 Best: Up-and-coming neighborhoods around the USA". This cozy 2 bed, 2 bath home is walking distance to the legislative building, Person Street bars and restaurants, and Seaboard Station in Downtown Raleigh!
The home has tile and real wood floors everywhere except the master bedroom, which has deep, soft carpet. The master bathroom has a walk in tile shower with 2 shower heads and valves. The kitchen has a large gas stove and a ton of counter space. There is high speed internet via wifi throughout the home, and we will share the password when you arrive. There is an EXTENSIVE media library available via Plex, and we also offer HULU and Netflix but no cable television. There is a large back deck with a garden and goldfish pond, and the back yard is completely private and fenced in.
We are a short walk from many restaurant options: Standard Foods Raleigh is a super fancy restaurant -make reservations ahead of time, or you might not get in. Both the Station and Bad Daddy's Burgers have great burgers and awesome bars. The Stanbury is super fancy and has an interesting menu to boot as well as a great bar. And Escazu Artisan Chocolates right next door to The Stanbury makes an awesome stop for desert. For a more moderately priced menu, check out Oakwood Cafe, which is a Cuban/Argentinian place -super authentic. And there's also the Person Street Pharmacy with an old fashioned soda fountain type counter with fancy sammiches and a longtime Krispy Kreme location too (watch for the hot and fresh beacon). The last restaurant I'll list is one we go to for special occasions -18 Seaboard. It's a fine dining spot that's been around for a long time. For pizza delivery, there's the old standards as well as Donato's and Brookside, both of which are also a short walk from the place. And of course there's the highest grossing Mellow Mushroom in the country right down the road. We are a short walk from many upscale bars: Person Street Bar and William & Company are very classy. And most of the restaurants mentioned above have nice bars as well. And then of course there's also dive bars like The Bison, where the drinks are less expensive and the crowd is diverse and raucous. We are also walking distance from the legislative building, the governor's mansion, and much more in downtown Raleigh. We are about a mile walk from the NC Museum of Science and a museum especially for kids called Marbles.
  • What a amazing compassionate host. My family was visiting Raleigh to put our dying grandmother in hospice care. The host went out of the way to welcome us and helped us as we needed. Highly recommend staying also due to location, price and cleanliness.

    Heidi2016-10-27T00:00:00Z
  • The home was in a quite neighborhood near downtown Raleigh. Close enough to plenty of sources of food and entertainment. The home offered all the amenities we could have asked for. With a nice wide open floor plan, with plenty of room. You won't be feeling catastrophic. There was plenty of side street parking around the home. The host made us feel welcomed and rapidly responded to any of our questions or concerns.

    Growing2016-07-25T00:00:00Z
  • Mike and Stacey are fantastic hosts. Upon our arrival we were greeted by a lovely gift basket including fresh baked pastries, iced mint tea and a $15 giftcard for the wine shop around the corner. The house was comfortable and within walking distance to several shops and restaurants. Mike was available to answer any questions and went above and beyond when I called about the A/C. My friends and I enjoyed our stay and would highly recommend this listing to anyone visiting Raleigh.

    Coco2016-05-30T00:00:00Z

    Shad2017-02-05T00:00:00Z
  • Mike's house is in a great spot, clean and the process for check-in and check-out couldn't have been easier.

    Josh2017-02-07T00:00:00Z
  • Mike was a great host! Our stay was short but sweet -- the beds were comfortable and my coworker and I appreciated each having our own bathrooms. The house has gone through some renovations and is very lovely, they've put a lot of care into making sure we had what we needed during our stay. Check-in was super easy and the location was perfect, it was just a short drive (or walk) to delicious restaurants, bakeries, cafes, etc. As we were leaving in the morning, we saw the construction across the street getting ready to start (mentioned in the listing) but we didn't hear anything the whole time we were there so it wasn't a problem. Definitely recommend staying here!

Also, the Garden Tour is presented once a year to display some of the neighborhood's best gardens.
  • This stay was one of our training projects which involved with a team of individuals (instructor and students). Brad was very kind to understand our needs and accommodate the team. Thank you very much!

  • Brad and Shannon's home was just beautiful... they were very accommodating hosts, making sure that we had everything we needed, and they followed up over the weekend to make sure our stay was going well. The house meets every expectation and more... it is comfortable, and it has all the amenities needed for a great stay. The location to downtown Raleigh is so convenient- close to lots of great bars and restaurants, and many are walkable. The historic neighborhood is a fun one to explore on foot or by bike, and we loved taking in all of the old and beautiful homes around the neighborhood. Such a pleasure being there!

  • Brad and Shannon's home was beautiful and full of historic charm. The neighborhood was very walkable and gave a great "local" vibe. Brad was very communicative, easy to work with, friendly and gave us great suggestions to make our trip wonderful. My husband and I stayed with another couple during a very hot part of August. Brad worked hard to make us comfortable as the upstairs bedroom was a bit hotter than expected. I would recommend this home 100% as long as the ac unit is working upstairs!

    Shanna2017-08-10T00:00:00Z
  • Brad and Shannon's house is incredibly beautiful. The photos do not do justice to the immaculate detail with which this historic house has been restored and maintained. We loved everything about it. It is very welcoming to guests, with an information book and towels and toiletries laid out upon arrival. • We stayed at Brad and Shannon's lovely home for our daughter's college graduation (Go Wolfpack!) Their place had all of the amenities of home away from home. Whether it's a home cooked meal in a well stocked kitchen, a cozy and relaxing place to socialize, nearby entertainment, or just comfortable sleep that you need, it can ALL be found at this location.

"The Little Nest," named when the second story was built above the carriage house and completed in 1947 for a WWII veteran son and his bride and named, our Airbnb is a fully equipped studio apartment in The Oakwood Historic district. We're a short walk to all the restaurants, bars, shops, galleries, museums and other fun things in Downtown Raleigh. Y'all come. Clean, comfortable and fully equipped. Lots of character. Beautiful Historic neighborhood. Very close to downtown Raleigh. You'll have exclusive access to the entire apartment. Started in the 1870's, Historic Oakwood is a mix of Victorian, federal, craftsman and Italianate architecture. A lovely place to stroll as you make your way to and from downtown activities. Easy access to public transportation.
Beautiful Historic Neighborhood. Very walkable. Easy to walk to restaurants and Downtown Raleigh.
  • Dear Eddie and Kay, I had a wonderful time. It felt just like having friends in Raleigh. Your kindness and generosity was at the heart of my stay. Thank you. The little nest was filled with everything I needed and more, and is SO convenient to downtown. I will look forward to another visit, and your maiden voyage to Vermont :)

  • The Little Nest was in a great spot to stay while in Raleigh. The Historic Oakwood neighborhood is close to everything and filled with tons of charm. Eddie and Kay were wonderful hosts - they gave us good insight on the town and advice on what spots to check out. The bed was a bit small for us (we're both over 6' tall) and the bathroom is pretty cozy but it worked well for our 3 day stay. We highly recommend it!

    Anna2014-07-29T00:00:00Z
  • My boyfriend and I stayed at The Little Nest over the holidays. The apartment was the perfect place to unwind after a busy day catching up with family, shopping, etc. The hosts were friendly and responsive to all of my questions. Eddie had the Nest heated up for us when we finally rolled into town 4 hours late the first night. Great neighborhood, great apartment... great movie collection. We look forward to our next visit!

  • Eddie & Kay are very nice person. They are very kind, nice and cool. Anyone who meet them must be like them! And more important point is their home, Little Nest, is really comfortable, calm and clean. You know, Raleigh in NC is really good weather, most of peoples are very nice and welcome. Enjoy your trip with Eddie and Kay! Thanks!

  • I met a friend for the first time in 20 years in this house. Eddie and Kay were amazing. Very kind and warm, and gave us a warm welcome. We were able to come and go anytime we wanted and I really appreciated their trustfulness. Ill never forget this place, and I hope many years from now I come to stay just as a reminder of my experience.

    Kris2013-06-20T00:00:00Z
  • I felt so fortunate to be staying in such a beautiful part of Raleigh and in such a perfect place. I was in for a huge conference and wanted a place to retreat to at the end of the day, and that is exactly what I had. Kay and Eddie were wonderful hosts, and made sure to both make themselves available and give me my space at the same time. Thanks so much Eddie and Kay!

    Sarah2012-10-08T00:00:00Z
  • The Little Nest is cozy and homelike. I found myself wishing I'd owned an apartment like this when I was a bachelor. It was warm, comfortable, and stocked with good movies. Eddie and Kay were everything you could want in Airbnb hosts. They were responsive to my questions, clear in their answers, and gave me space when I got there. They even left a little coffee in the bag at the doorstep for me.

    Justin2012-11-19T00:00:00Z
  • Eddie and Kay's Little Nest was the perfect home base for enjoying Raleigh. I grew up in the area so had a lot of people to visit and things to do and the Little Nest was the perfect spot for everything I needed to do. The carriage house is very peaceful and quiet, and Kay and Eddie's garden is beautiful. I would definitely stay there again!

The cottage was quiet and comfortable with cable tv and premium channels (!!). Super easy check in/ check out and she made me feel very welcome with super responsive communication and a friendly card with fresh pastries left on the dining table.

  • This sweet little cottage was perfect for our weekend getaway. The neighborhood is adorable and fun to stroll around. Lots of restaurants and shops are nearby and downtown is super easy access. The cottage was impeccably clean and Meredith was always prompt with communications. Even though we didn’t bring our dog, it was so nice that she was happy to welcome him into her home. I recommend this place 100%!

My place is close to the city center, art and culture, restaurants and dining, parks, and great city skyline views. You’ll love my place because of the ambiance, the outdoors space, and the neighborhood. My place is good for families, couples, solo adventurers and business travelers. There is laundry service available for an extra charge. We have a kitchenette with full sized fridge and stove, microwave and dishes. There is a full sized dining area and a living room and the bedroom is huge.
This space is amazing you have really cool and relaxing views in the master bedroom of Historic Oakwood and green space and then on the other side of the upstairs double windows with views of Raleigh's skyline. It is super bright and sunny on the kitchen side but great for sleeping in on the bedroom side. You can walk to food... Brewerks, Sidestreet, Gringos and Oakwood Cafe as well as Person st business district or downtown Raleigh. There is an entry foyer that leads to a private entry to your suite. More pictures will be taken soon.
This is a tree lined city neighborhood just outside of Oakwood with all of it's historic homes and architecture. This home was built within the past 7 years as are several of the homes around. Some people use the park and there is a dog park within walking distance.

  • The rooms were wide and comfortable. We were able to go to the middle of downtown by walk (it took 20~30 minutes). My daughter enjoyed playing at a park near the house and liked the small bed in the bed room. The kitchen was user friendly. We recommend the place to family with children.

  • Juliana was very welcoming and professional. She even stayed up until past midnight to check us in and show us the house and how all the amenities worked. The host welcomed us with an assortment of goodies and was very accommodating to our two dogs and even had treats and doggie bags all set up. Very quaintly renovated space that we felt comfortable in. Definitely recommend for all those looking for some peace and quiet. All in all, an excellent and thoughtful host who went above and beyond our expectations.

  • Juliana's place was cozy, incredibly clean, and located in a great neighborhood. Our family of four (including two small children) arrived late (9:30 pm) but Juliana was very accommodating and great with communication. Check in was super easy and we were very impressed with the space. It felt very private and the neighborhood was very safe (not to mention beautiful!) We especially enjoyed the many personalized extras Juliana provided- from treats and games for our children, to treats for my wife and I (wine, cheese and crackers!) we felt very much at home and at ease thanks to Juliana. She was very responsive to questions and offered helpful suggestions on activities/restaurants to check out while in Raleigh. The bed was very comfortable and the shower was awesome. Our kids liked sleeping on the pull-out couch next to the Roku TV! We would highly recommend Juliana's place to couples or small families planning a stay in Raleigh! Thanks Juliana!

  • An absolutely perfect location to stay while in Raleigh. You are close to everything downtown (with some great bars and restaurants just an 8 minute walk away) and close to all major roads to get up to Durham and Chapel Hill. Juliana's home is in a nice quiet part of town and is beautiful! The bed was great, the sheets were white, soft, and you could tell they were really clean. The whole place was very clean and the porch and fenced in back yard were great. Very relaxing. She has everything you could need in the house for your stay and it is a perfect spot for sharing with friends. On top of all that, the communication with Juliana was quick and simple. We had an awesome stay and I am certain we will be back!

  • Juliana went above and beyond in every way. The place is very modern and recently renovated. Everything was new, extremely clean, and on trend. We had an issue with the air conditioning working a little too well, so it was a bit cold and Juliana got to it immediately and fixed the issue. She was very accommodating and everything you could need, plus some, is there when you arrive. Truly great people and a beautiful apartment.

  • Juliana is a great host. Easy check-in. Great communication. My daughter and I loved the space - everything we needed - for our fun get-away. • This was one of the best Airbnb experiences I've ever had. The space was perfect for my needs - I was in town for a business trip and a wedding. It was super clean and comfortable and Juliana really went the extra mile to make my stay phenomenal. She was insanely good at communicating and even brought me milk and cereal. • This place is a steal! Very well-decorated, cozy, so clean, and great location. I felt extremely safe in the neighborhood and left my car parked on the street in front and walked everywhere (less than 15 min walk to the bars/restaurants downtown). I was only going to stay for 2 nights, and ended up extending my booking to almost a week - it was that convenient and comfortable. It was my first time staying at an Airbnb alone, and Tonya and Hannah were so hospitable and friendly - they even took me around some local favorite spots in downtown Raleigh. Would definitely stay here again. Thanks girls!

  • My recent stay in Raleigh was great. I was part of a group of 4 friends -- the accommodations, 1 queen, day bed + trundle, was perfect. Dana made sure check-in and check-out was flawless. It is a 5 min walk from downtown which has a number of cute restaurants, tons of cafes, and brew pubs. The house is beautifully decorated and has an inviting kitchen and back porch.
