Place to eat
“Byfords is a landmark eatery in Holt and was a favourite haunt of Rodger Lloyd Pack (Trigger from Only Fools and Horses). If you are planning a picnic or want to eat at home you can stock up with 'tantalising tasties' from their deli. Alternatively, book a table for breakfast, lunch, afternoon tea or dinner. If you enjoy jazz then plan your visit for the last Wednesday of the month when there is live jazz music during dinner.”

“Green Flag Award winning country park. A great place to bring the whole family, or just to escape into a peaceful woodland world. Holt Country Park is situated approximately one mile south of Holt on the eastern side of the B1149 Holt to Norwich Road. The park offers a children’s play area, waymarked walks, a visitor centre (seasonal), a viewing tower and several sculptures for you to enjoy. The park is open all year around and is used by a variety of visitors, from families to wildlife enthusiasts and dog walkers to school groups.”

Clothes Shop
“The property at 8 Market Place, Holt, was built in 1631, the date set in the west gable. It has continuously served the area as a shop since 1730 or thereabouts, with the involvement of the Baker family beginning in the 1760's or 1770's. Now, nearly 250 years later, this exceptional department store stands as one of the oldest retailers in East Anglia and one of the few in the country to remain under the ownership and control of the founding family.”
