Places to stay in Holywell
Our attractive, modern, ground floor coastal apartment, with its own decking, for one or two guests, enjoys magnificent sea views, is a stone's throw from Perranporth's wide, golden, sandy surfing beach and is very close to village amenities. It contains everything you will need for a comfortable, relaxing stay. Wi-Fi throughout. Central heating. No cleaning fees. Parking to rear. The coastal footpath is just outside our front gate. You will never tire of the view; it will keep you spellbound.
If there is a one night vacancy showing on the calendar, between other bookings, please message to enquire about availability. The whole apartment is centrally heated, double glazed and has Wi-Fi throughout. I don't charge a cleaning fee and we also don't charge extra for electricity or for the central heating. Located here in glorious Perranporth, Cornwall, enjoying the most incredible far reaching views, with a landscape which is constantly changing, yet we are only a stone's throw away from the beach and everything which the village has to offer - eateries, shops, bars, pubs etc. You can walk everywhere. We have provided rattan chairs, a table, and full length loungers on the apartment's decking, where you can dine alfresco, all the while drinking in the amazing view laid out before you. Early risers can experience a Perranporth sunrise from a decking viewpoint. We even provide throws and a hot water bottle to keep you warm and toasty should you wish to sit outside when the weather turns chillier. There are windbreaks, seating and mats for the beach located in the main hall. From the decking, step through the French doors into the main living area. Here we have a large flat screen smart television with NETFLIX for our guests, DVD player with dvds, dining table and two chairs, a very comfortable leather two seater recliner sofa, coffee tables and a fully equipped kitchen area. There are ample cupboards and worktop surfaces with fridge (including a small freezer compartment), microwave, electric oven, ceramic hob, toaster and kettle. The apartment is equipped with stainless steel saucepans, Pyrex dishes, white tableware, a selection of various glasses (wine/champagne/tumblers), cutlery, place-mats, tea towels and many other sundries. We have provisioned it with fresh milk, tea, instant coffee, cafetière with ground coffee, drinking chocolate, biscuits and condiments. Dish washing, cleaning items, bin liners, J-cloths etc are kept beneath the sink. Additionally, there is an iron, ironing board, and portable clothes dryer. We have also put out binoculars, board games and playing cards and a selection of relevant books about Cornwall and paperbacks to keep you entertained. There are lots of leaflets in the apartment detailing Cornish attractions, including discount vouchers too, along with a set of tide tables so you can keep an eye on what the sea is doing. I am more than happy to drop off a daily newspaper for you as I always nip down to the village to get my own first thing in the morning. The apartment's main front door is located within this area. Walking through to the bedroom there is a wardrobe with plenty of hangers, lots of drawer space, bedside cabinets with matching lamps and a king size bed made up with a king size duvet and attractive bed linen. In addition there is a wall mounted Smart TV with DVD player (there are some DVDs in the apartment should you wish to watch them) on which the internet can also be accessed and NETFLIX for our guests. Additionally, there is a hairdryer and bedside clock radio. The fully tiled en-suite shower room, with heated towel rail, has an excellent power shower and towels (one bath and one hand towel per person) provided, along with various toiletries eg shampoo, conditioner, shower gel etc. We have our own private car park to the rear of the main property. Check out is at 11am but we are more than happy for guests to leave their car for a few extra hours after this time so that they can eke out their break just a little longer before their return journey. Just ask. From our apartment you can look across to the exact spot on the cliffs opposite where Winston Graham wrote the novels Ross Poldark and Demelza in the 1940's. Of course, most of the filming for the television series Poldark takes place around Cornwall, and hereabouts. The beach is famed for its wide expanse of golden sand, which is cleaned regularly throughout most of the year. It's a tremendous walk to the other end of the beach (just watch out for the incoming tide!) or to meander along the sandy dunes. It's great for surfing, with a surf school practically on the doorstep (closed during the winter months, although there are others in the village open all year round). Lifeguards patrol the beach for your safety during the busier months. Storm watching can be wild and exciting in the winter months, especially if the tides are exceptionally high, when the beach takes on a very different character. Watch all the excitement from inside without getting cold and wet outside! Access to the coastal footpath is practically on our doorstep and it's a glorious walk to St Agnes, which is about four miles away across the cliffs. Or to Holywell Bay in the other direction. The Watering Hole, located on the beach itself, is a very popular bar/restaurant to view some of our amazing sunsets over the ocean. Perranporth Golf Club, enjoying breathtaking views up and down the coast, is one of Cornwall's finest links courses and is only a 1.4 mile drive away. Perranporth Tennis Club has six grass courts and three newly resurfaced floodlit hard courts. It is open to visitors and is only a 0.5 mile walk away from us. The nearest riding stables are just under two miles from us by road. The local doctors' surgery and Boots the Chemist are extremely close, should you require their services during your stay. The bustling cathedral city of Truro is only nine miles away (try The Heron Inn overlooking the Truro River at Malpas, which is just a couple of miles drive/walk from the City centre); the famous Eden Project 26 miles and St Ives 24 miles distant (hint: drive to Lelant Saltings or St Erth then take the train right into St Ives, a very memorable scenic railway journey, albeit quite short, as driving around St Ives can be quite challenging). If you're a Doc Martin fan then why not go to Port Isaac which doubles as Portwenn in the series. We love having lunch at The Budock Vean Hotel (TR11 5LG) at Mawnan Smith, 21 miles away, followed by a walk through the beautiful grounds down to The Helford River (think Daphne du Maurier's Frenchman's Creek). Their Cornish cream afternoon teas are such a treat too: large, homemade scones, with lashings of Cornish cream and Boddington's strawberry jam, along with a selection of delicious homemade cakes. Travelling widely over the years has given us an insight into what travellers like and expect. We have, therefore, used this knowledge when setting up the apartment for our guests. However I am always very open to any suggestions to make your stay with us special and memorable. If you think we've forgotten something, therefore, please don't hesitate to let us know. We don't charge a cleaning fee either. So come and share our view with us. We guarantee you won't be disappointed. Please also see our other Airbnb listing for four people: www.airbnb.co.uk/rooms/19563456. This apartment is located on the opposite side of Bay Court's main hallway
We have travelled fairly extensively over the years and we both think that the beach here at Perranporth has got to be one of the very best beaches in the world. Come and experience it for yourself.
  • Our stays at Beth's apartment was lovely, the view was amazing. The apartment was clean and tidy. Beth was welcoming and on the phone if needed. Will definitely return one day.

    Alice2020-03-07T00:00:00Z
  • The views from the deck are spectacular. Even in wintery blustery weather it was a stunning place to be. Everything we needed had been thought of. It was great.

    Natalie2020-03-06T00:00:00Z
  • We had such a wonderful time. Beth had thought of everything we needed and more.

  • Amazing place to stay! Warm welcome and a lovely view. Would recommend to anyone, even in January 😊

    Hubert2020-01-17T00:00:00Z
  • We stayed at Beth's place for one night for my boyfriends birthday, on arrival their were thoughtful touches of confetti and napkins saying happy birthday and even a card. The apartment was very clean and homely it felt like we had been there forever! Lovely area and lovely hosts, we plan to go back in the future probably in the summer for a few days as it was so nice this time.

    Jemma2020-01-12T00:00:00Z
  • Easy communication, thoughtful touches such as flowers, birthday confetti and biscuits to enjoy. Well stocked cupboards, ideal for self catering. Within easy walking distance of local shops, restaurants and beach. Perhaps the best feature is the view. Endless hours could be lost gazing out to sea.

    Samantha2020-01-11T00:00:00Z
  • Great place and location. Really nice place with lots of lovely touches. The host was extremely kind and helpful.

In a quiet lane, just a pebble’s throw from the perfect, sandy beach of Porth, Wren’s Nest is a former sail loft which has been tastefully furnished and decorated and makes a wonderful coastal bolt hole to escape to. Quality hotel- grade bedding provided.
**OFF ROAD PARKING NOW AVAILABLE RIGHT NEXT TO THE BEACH** Leave the parking nightmare to others! Wrens Nest is a perfect example of an 18th century traditional Cornish fisherman's cottage- small but perfectly formed. They would have mended their nets with the boats pulled up outside and slept upstairs. It really is very small- think cabin-style but who cares with miles and miles of sandy beach and Atlantic coast outside. It's set just back from the beach, protected from winter storms in a little mews with 3 other cottages. There are 1.5 bedrooms upstairs- 1 standard double and 1 cabin style bed not suitable for a large adult (2'6 x 5'9) plus a double sofabed in the lounge. It's not recommended for 3 adults or very large adults. Important note re bathroom- It's old school. There is currently a small bathtub with enamel jug for rinsing off. No shower. There is a shower attachment but it's not very effective. We have always enjoyed this traditional cottage bathing experience but there have been a few comments from guests missing a shower. We are looking into this for the future.
Porth beach is safe and family-friendly, with a small coastal café, an excellent boutique and coffee shop, 2 traditional pubs (within 5 mins walk of the cottage) a deli up the road and world class restaurants nearby. Porth is perfectly placed on the North Coast between Padstow, Watergate Bay and Newquay. Padstow and Watergate Bay are sports and foodie hotspots. Less well-known- Newquay is undergoing a food renaissance with the arrival of Rick Stein and many new independent cafés and seafood restaurants. Watergate and Newquay's Fistral Beach are some of the best surfing spots in the UK and Watergate is also great for kiteboarding.
  • My friend and I visited Porth for the weekend and had the most amazing time in the cottage. The cottage is beautiful and comfortable and 2mins walk from the picturesque beach; we walked to Fistral Beach (slowly) in 1hr and arrived via train to Truro. Arriving late and in the night, Gabriella thoughtfully left the fire on for us. It was so toasty and welcoming. We both really enjoyed our stay and look forward to returning. Thank you!

  • We had a lovely few days in this lovely cottage so close to a beautiful beach. It was equipped everything that we needed more a comfortable stay. Nothing was too much trouble for the hosts. We would love to return one day

    Julie2020-03-08T00:00:00Z
  • A lovely little cottage right on the beach at Porth.

    Jonny2020-02-23T00:00:00Z
  • It’s exactly as described, a very cute cottage within a stones throw of the beach (which is dog friendly in the winter but not summer) Our hosts communication was great and we would recommend it.

    Simone2020-02-19T00:00:00Z
  • Lovely stay over the valentines weekend. Great hosts and lovely property - can’t wait to come back soon!

    Asiri2020-02-16T00:00:00Z
  • Had a great weekend break at this lovely little cottage. Perfect location for long beach and coast path walks.

    Deborah2020-02-09T00:00:00Z
  • If your spirit of adventure, and wonder are what you seek to stoke, this is the place for you. The quaint cottage offers only what you need and everything is within your reach. The beach is a stones throw from the door, and with the windows open at night the ocean, and rain will sing you sleep. The small kitchen, living space and heater keep the cozy vibes going as you drink coffee or tea and talk about your hikes and explorations. Gabi has gone to great lengths to only offer you what is needed at this place. So get here if you can!

    Gabriel2020-01-17T00:00:00Z
  • A very pretty little fisherman's cottage right next to a lovely beach. Gabriella, the host, went out of her way to make our stay perfect with an extremely kind act. The double bed is very comfortable and luxurious and I personally love that there is a bath rather than shower as I think if people want the 'authentic' experience, best to enjoy and roll with it. Sunday carvery pub lunch in the local 'Mermaid' on the beach was packed with happy families. A myriad of beaches and coastal walks in easy reach.

Secluded, self contained, 1 bedroom apartment in our home by the sea. Bedroom, bathroom (shower), living area with kitchen. Living room with TV (Netflix, iPlayer ...) sofa, dinning table & chairs, kitchen (hob, oven, dishwasher, fridge & freezer.). Bathroom with shower, sink & loo. Bedroom with king size bed, wardrobes. WiFi, USB ports, Bluetooth speaker. The flat has private parking by it's own entrance (key code access). Not suitable for babies or children and we are keeping it pet free.
It's a cliff top house, overlooking the sea and beach, on the edge of the village we love, Perranporth. To get the great sea views in the photos you do need to step outside the flat and go up the stairs to the top deck, that you can use anytime. From the flat you do have a limited narrow view of the sea down the side of the house (see current photo 13), but it's worth going up the outside stairs ! From the property, walk down to the beach and Perranporth village with plenty of shops, surf schools, restaurants, pubs and cafes. OR turn left onto the coastal path. St Agnes is a bit under a 90 minute cliff top walk. Dinner and a taxi back is a great evening. The house, including the flat was completed in late 2017. We tried to take on a lot of current "eco" build ideas in that the house is well insulated (triple glazed windows, sheeps wool in the walls), and has most of the internal air continually refreshed, not from vents and gaps, but a ventilation system that gives more filtered and dehumidified fresh air into the building than a traditional property. There is some more obvious tech in that the light switches give multiple scenes, the bathroom lights are PIR sensor triggered and the blinds are on remote controls.
Droskyn headland is at the south end of Perranporth beach, at the edge of the village.
  • Rory is a lovely host! The cabin is attached to his house, a very modern ecological beauty, that has his own entrance and is connected to the main balcony showing you one of the best view in Cornwall! He made us feel at home, leaving us fresh local butter in the fridge and delivering local milk every two days in lovely little glass milk bottles. You could really taste the Cornish milk. In the house there were already coffee, tea and shortbread to start our lovely stay. The house is fully equipped with modern and new facilities and he has everything settled if you need to go around Cornwall, maps, books and himself advising you on nice spots where to go! The house has everything a couple should need for a lovely staying in Cornwall! I highly recommend Rory! Thank you!!

  • A fantastic Airbnb space. Really well thought through layout which is very practical and clean. The space is bigger than it looks in the photos. Rory is a great host. He was easy to communicate with before we arrived and had provided some nice personal touches to the space. There are sea views from the lounge down the side of the main house and we wrapped up warm to enjoy local Rattler Cyder on the beautiful balcony overlooking the sea, beach and town. We visited Perranporth when it was stormy with sunny spells and still found plenty to do locally! A really lovely place to visit.

    Mary2020-03-01T00:00:00Z
  • Such a lovely little flat in perfect surroundings. The perfect get away. Rory was super helpful with tips and made us feel at home. We will 100% be back again. Thanks again!

    Samantha2020-02-23T00:00:00Z
  • Amazing location, only a few minutes walk to the beach. Beautiful space with everything you need for a get away. The shower is ten out of ten! Rory and Sarah both very welcoming and accommodating. Would highly recommend and will definitely be returning.

    Dominic2020-02-19T00:00:00Z
  • A very well equipped, elegantly designed comfortable modern flat. Immaculately presented with many additional features such, streaming TV (Netflix, iPlayer etc) Bluetooth speaker, an exceptional shower, high tech insulation & ventilation that keeps one cosy in winter. (we stayed in Feb 2020 during storm Dennis!) and pleasant in summer. Beautiful view from the shared balcony a short walk outside from the flat entrance door down the side of the house & up some stairs. We were sad to leave.

    David2020-02-16T00:00:00Z
  • I can not fault Rory’s place, it’s beautiful, clean, open, and comfortable! Great value for price, and Rory was so lovely and helpful to us! Location was great too, with amazing views.

    Megan2020-02-13T00:00:00Z
  • We really enjoyed our stay. The place was really cool and clean, and the area was much better than we expected with plenty to do. The pub tips were brilliant and we enjoyed the food. When the storm hit we had an amazing night in with plenty of entertainment. We’ll definitely be back!

    Mike2020-02-10T00:00:00Z
  • A beautiful little apartment which had everything we required! Rory was very helpful and he gave us some nice tips about where to go for food and some nice walks! Check in was super easy, and we really enjoyed our stay! We will be coming back!!!

  • Awesome little place! Great view and Jill was really helpful!

    Marc2020-01-18T00:00:00Z
  • Great place! Perfect location. Jill has done a great job at the flat, it is cosy and very clean. I would very much stay there again. Highly recommended!!

    Beatriz2020-01-12T00:00:00Z
  • Thank you for having us Jill and all the lovely little touches you left for us to ensure we had a fabulous new year! We loved the apartment! The shower pressure was great, and the shower took no time to warm up! This is a small apartment with a kitchen, oven and hobs, a microwave and kettle and toaster! More than enough for the 4 days whilst we were there. I loved the fact we could also recycle! We had to buy a tin opener whilst in Newquay but that was no problem! One thing I'd have appreciated was a hook on the back of the door just to hang a coat up but we just placed them over the dining chairs! In summer this wouldn't really be an issue. We would 100% return. It was a 20 ish minute walk into Newquay, lovely views of fistral beach and very quiet! Thanks so much!

    Frances2020-01-01T00:00:00Z
  • We had a lovely weekend staying in this studio flat. The property is very close to Fistral beach for surfing and a 10-15 minute walk into the centre of Newquay for exploring bars/restaurants. We would definitely stay in this apartment again.

Many of the UK's finest surfing beaches are situated in close proximity and the village boasts playing fields a tennis court state of the art concrete skate park, beautiful village pub, local shop and church.
  • A lovely cottage with beautiful features inside and out! The place was lovely and clean and there were small things such as teabags, coffee and sugar provided which I was very grateful for as I forgot my own teabags. Highly recommend for people wanting to shut out the world and have a cosy, relaxing stay.

    Amy2020-03-15T00:00:00Z
  • Absolutely fabulous place. Spotless. Well equipped. Don’t hesitate. One of the best.

  • Great cottage, renovated really well. Lovely village and pub. The host was great and we saw him on arrival. The hot tub is a lovely touch. Thank you for a nice stay!

    Harry2020-02-27T00:00:00Z
  • We had a lovely stay in this quaint cottage with our two young children. We stayed during the winter and it was very cosy and warm. We didn’t make use of the hot tub but hope to return soon without our children where we will. The location was great for everything we wanted to do. There is a local pub and corner shop but also a Morrison’s not too far away either. We would recommend this beautiful cottage for a little get away!

    Tom2020-02-23T00:00:00Z
  • Beautiful, welcoming and clean cottage. Everything is as described and the instructions are clear and simple. Quick and helpful responses from Shaun. Thank you :) Highly recommend.

Saint Newlyn East, Cornwall, United Kingdom

The Studio is situated close to Holywell bay, near Newquay on the north coast of Cornwall with its lovely beaches, the area is great for walking, cycling or just chilling. It is self contained with a comfortable double bed & a bed settee, which is suitable for children, it has its own kitchenette & ensuite bathroom. WE ARE HAPPY TO TAKE DOGS, SUBJECT TO A £5 PER NIGHTCHARGE PER DOG. Please note that although the listing is for 4 people that the studio is only suitable for a maximum 3 adults.
The studio is a completely self contained loft with a small decking area where you may sit & enjoy a glass of wine whilst enjoying the sunshine, it is unfortunately not suitable for disabled or infirm guests, being accessed via an external staircase. It is about 1 mile from Holywell bay & Polly joke cove, both of which you can walk to via National trust footpaths. Newquay & Perranporth are about 5 miles away, whilst Truro is around 10 miles away, Newquay airport has regular flights from many parts of the UK & is about 7 miles away. The studio is very comfortable (we lived in it for 2 years whilst rebuilding our house) although the surrounding grounds are a work in progress, so please don't expect manicured gardens. The studio is an ideal base for walking, swimming, surfing, fishing, wildlife watching & general coastal living. We have bikes for hire at discounted rates for guests of the studio. We have a surf school at Holywell bay for those that wish to learn, Lee the owner has been head lifeguard for over 25 years. * Parking space. * Washing machine. * Tumble Dryer * Freezer compartment We are happy to meet our guests & to make suggestions for places to visit, eat, drink. We will provide a welcome pack for our guests, to include a few essentials for your arrival. We only ask that you accept that we can be extremely busy at times due to having a business to run, we in return will respect your privacy & if you do not wish to interact with us that is perfectly fine. We live in a very wild & beautiful part of Cornwall, the area can be both hot & sunny & also wild & stormy, both beautiful in their own way. Holywell bay has been used as a setting for many films & TV dramas including Die another day (James Bond), Summer in February, Poldark & the recent Jamaica inn tv drama, it is characterised by the twin peaks of Gull (or Carter) rocks & has beautiful golden sands. Polly joke ( or Porth joke) is a beautiful little hidden cove. There are several great pubs & restaurants within walking distance if you should wish to eat out or go for a quiet drink. Buses run on a regular basis from the village which is 10 minutes walk away, there is also a local taxi service.
Although we are only 4 miles from the surf capital of the UK, Newquay, we are in a quiet idyllic area surrounded by nature, you are guaranteed a wonderful nights sleep only to be awoken with bird song. We have footpaths starting almost outside our gate, taking you to our local beaches via the local common, a 350 acre National Trust wildlife haven.
  • Great place would highly recommend

    Richard2020-02-28T00:00:00Z
  • Thanks to Gail and Pete for being great hosts. The studio was exactly as described and a brilliant base to explore the Newquay area of Cornwall with its fantastic beaches. The studio was clean, welcoming and had some lovely touches, we loved their honey from their own bees! The recommendation for The Smuggler’s Rest was spot on, the best fish and chips I can remember eating in years. Thanks for some wonderful Cornwall memories 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟

    Michelle2020-02-23T00:00:00Z
  • What a great place this is! Ideal for a relaxing retreat with lovely amenities and excellent easy walking in a very scenic part of Cornwall. Pete and Gail were perfect hosts. We'd love to visit again one day!

    Harry2020-02-20T00:00:00Z
  • Nice affordable loft close to Newquay and beaches. Fresh eggs and bread left by the host were fantastic.

    David2020-02-16T00:00:00Z
  • This was our second visit to "The Loft" and we loved it just as much as the first time. We visited for new year this time (29th Dec to the 5th of January) and Pete and Gail went to the effort of decorating the studio with a tree and lights etc. making it even cosier! Pete and Gail are incredibly welcoming and always close by if you need anything but also are happy to leave you to it, giving you your own space. We love the fact that this place is far enough out that it is quiet and homely while also being close enough to Newquay (about a 10 minute drive) and walking distance from the beach. We would recommend this stay to anyone.. and bring your dog's, they'll love it too!

    Jon2020-01-05T00:00:00Z
  • Great location with great hosts, would highly recommend :)

    Emma2019-11-11T00:00:00Z
  • The studio is beautiful and so clean, the extras were a lovely touch. It felt like we were at home and Gail and Pete are both lovely and welcoming, if your looking for a nice place to stay look no further. It’s peaceful and relaxing. Dogs are also welcome which is an added bonus. See you again soon

Built brand new for 2019, The Snug is a cosy self contained 1 bedroom chalet just 50 yards from the cliff tops. It’s a stones throw from Porth beach and the entrance to the legendary Porth Island, where locals and tourist alike gather with their cameras to capture that perfect sunset. Or borrow the Kayak’s for an evening paddle round the island. The Snugg itself is set into the rising hillside giving it the cosy and private feel its name suggests. Search Porth island drone on YouTube.
Cooking facilities are fairly basic, but there’s a microwave/oven combo, and a plug in counter top hob ready and waiting, so there’s everything you need to cook anything from a sneaky bit of toast or a roast dinner. Its primarily 1 bedroom accommodation, but a temporary bed ot travel cot can be provided to go in the living area for a child. The Snug has access the to the shared decking area on the back garden with panoramic views of the island and join use of the hot tub, but it also has its own small, well sheltered decking area right outside the front door. As shown in the pictures, there is table seating too.
The coastal footpath is just the other side of the road running from the island along the cliff top to the famous surfing beach at watergate bay. The sands resort is at the top of the hill and the gym, swimming pool and spar are all open to the public if you fancy some pampering. There is also an excellent physio in residence and a hair salon too. The Mermaid pub is a great place to eat, and has a good menu. It’s just 5 minutes walk. The rear of the pub actually opens out onto Porth beach.
  • Perfect break away, location amazing and the hot tub was the icing on the cake. Thank you Gary

  • Gary's place was amazing. Perfect for a couple's get away. It was super clean, had everything you need. Also little extra touches from Gary was milk, crumpets etc which was nice. This place is super warm for those winter months. What was even better the smart TV with Netflix. We didn't get the chance to use the hot tub, it was abit cold and wind but we had a demo and it was very nice and a good size with loads of functions. We had a parking space too which was ideal. We'll defo be back. 5*s

  • Lovely place to stay! Nice walk to Newquay town and the lovely Porth beach was very close! Gary was very welcoming and friendly. The place was modern and cosy and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay! We would definitely return again! :)

  • Very clean chalet in a great position near the coastal path. The jacuzzi was a nice addition!

  • We have just returned from a lovely weekend stay at the snug. We went with our little sprocker and I have to say it was perfect! When we got there all I did was text Gary to say we had arrived and he was out by my car and telling me where to park within seconds. There was a quick instruction on how to use hot tub, tv, and heating ect. Then we were left on our own until we checked out. The snug is in a fantastic location right next to Porth beach which was perfect for the dog and many surrounding walks. The hot tub was amazing and some brilliant views whilst in the hot tub. We are already looking to book again as it was such a chilled and relaxed weekend. Thankyou Gary.

  • Gary was a fantastic host, with brilliant knowledge of the area. We felt entirely welcomed when we arrived and he went above and beyond to make sure we felt at home during our short stay in Cornwall. Would highly recommend the snug for anybody wanting a cosy escape from reality. 😍

  • Great little hut on the coast. It was so warm and cosy and my husband and I had a great honeymoon. The jacuzzi is next to a main path but was lovely and warm. Would definitely go back again.

Holywell Bay is one of the finest beaches in Cornwall. Just 6 miles from Newquay and Perranporth on the north Cornish coast. Holywell Bay is an ideal spot to tour from as it is very central for all parts of Cornwall. There are 2 village shops and two inns. There is also an 18 hole golf course, Holywell Bay Fun Park, fishing and horse riding very close-by. The secluded National Trust beach at Holywell combines golden soft sands and safe bathing with dynamic caves and cliff walks. With RNLI surf patrols, it is one of the safest surfing beaches on the North Cornwall Coast. There are many caves and rock pools to explore with a large expanse of sand dunes, providing shelter and privacy. Fishing from the beach is good and the excellent cliff walks provide breathtaking views. Holywell Bay derived its name from a spring-fed well, said to have curative properties. It was custom in the older days that parents brought their sick children and dipped them in the well. Above the well is a small cave where the children were lowered from. The well is to be found at the north end of the beach in a large cave, reached only at low tide.Nearby is the bustling resort of Newquay. These days Newquay's excellent surfing waters are the towns main industry, whereas it once used to be a major export port for the counties mining efforts as well as a north coast port for pilchard fisheries. Fistral Beach holds many surfing competitions throughout the year and also hosts Run to the Sun over May Bank holiday, a VW and Custom Car Show. Both the Women's and Mens Gig Championships are held here, as well as a balloon festival and surf and lifesaving events. Newquay Zoo now houses 130 different species in subtropical gardens in the centre of the town.Neighbouring Watergate Bay and The Extreme Academy offers you a 'ski resort on a beach' and a plethora of activities to keep even the most active occupied. Fifteen Cornwall, founded by Jamie Oliver in 2002 sits on top of the two-mile beach at Watergate offering inspirational views for the young chefs and professionals to create fantastic menus from local and seasonal produce. The Lappa Valley Steam Railway just outside Newquay offers both the old and young an interesting day out. Newquay Airport has made the north coast one of the easiest places in Cornwall to get to, with regular flights from various locations across the UK. The town also has an Aquarium, a Waterworld and numerous immensely pretty beaches for the less active. Trerice run by the National Trust is 3 miles outside of the town is an Elizabethan Manor House and Garden with restricted winter opening times.

Holywell Bay is a little village on the North coast between Perranporth and Newquay. • Katie’s place is clean and spacious. There are lots of extra touches like blankets and additional heaters for cold days and she put out some cake and fresh flowers for our arrival which was lovely! We enjoyed being walking distance from Holywell Bay and would highly recommend a trip to Healey’s Cider Farm which is a short drive away. Would definitely recommend!

  • It was our second time we have stayed at The Pottery. This time it was with a new host, Katie. She is very friendly, welcoming and accommodating. The communication was fast. Katie lives in the house in front of The Pottery so she was on hand if/when we needed her. The location is superb, a quiet hamlet next to costal paths and beautiful beaches, lovely walks. But to not too far to drive to Perranporth or Newquay. There is a shop, a bakery, a pub and a fish & chip shop nearby. When the weather is warm there is the opportunity to buy freshly grown veg and eggs from houses nearby. The Pottery is compact but has everything that is needed to have a relaxing and cosy stay. The kitchen is well equipped. There are books, dvds and board games to play. Two tv's. There isn't any wifi but 4g works no problem and making calls on a mobile is possible with a good reception. The shower room is clean and modern. The beds are very comfortable. There is plenty of space to put clothing and belongings. The out door space is great to sit in the sun. I would highly recommend a stay here. It is good value and in a beautiful part of Cornwall. We really enjoyed our stay x

  • Adore this lovely cottage and its beautiful location with beautiful walks across some of national trust best countryside. Fantastic welcome to a cottage with everything I could want. It could have been a summers day on Holywell Beach. The cottage was snug and warm during the winter chilly evenings. The cottage has been tastefully decorated since my last stay and was spotlessly clean. Can’t wait for my next visit.

  • This was such a lovely place to stay. Katie and her partner made us feel so welcome and gave us lots of good tips about things to do nearby. It was a gorgeous short walk to Hollywell the most beautiful beach and very close to the village with such a sweet bakery and great pub. The BNB itself was very clean and the had a well equipped kitchen as well as a great BBQ area. Overall we loved our stay and would definitely come again!

  • Brilliant place. Right next to fistral beach and the quicksilver surf school. Absolutely top notch appliances and furnishings. Perfect view of the beach and waves. 🏄🤘

  • Wonderful place, wonderful location. Ever bit as clean and nice as the pictures! Parking in front is very convenient. Just make sure you rent a small car because space is tight. The only negative would be that the place doesn’t come with essentials like paper towels, limited toilet paper, laundry soap, dishwashing soap, etc. it is probably one of the best equipped kitchens we have been too! Perfect location and place!

    Mike2019-11-05T00:00:00Z
  • This apartment at Fistral is fantastic. It has a second floor Juliette balcony from the main living space that looks out across the whole of the bay; stunning! The apartment has a really generous living, kitchen and dining space with all the amenities one could ask for. Whether you want to chill out and drink wine while cooking for friends, or just slob in front of the good size flatscreen TV, this is a fantastic space. The two bedrooms are generous in size, one with an en-suite shower room and one with access to the main bathroom. Both bathrooms are clean, modern and great. Stunning at any time of year, particularly when autumn tides bash in and out and excellent value for money, Phil’s apartment is superb! As point to note; I am a wheelchair user and this apartment has a lift and generous hallway and door width dimensions, so it is really easy to navigate stress free!

  • We have just had a great holiday staying at this wonderful apartment. The owners have thought of everything. It is equipped with everything you need plus those little extras. Also it was spotless. Tea, coffee and milk waiting after your journey down. It is in an ideal location with the most amazing views and right on the sea front. Fistral beach is a minutes walk away and the main town only 15-20 minutes walk, where there is access to other beaches. In the opposite direction you can walk to Pentire point which is worth seeing. We only used the car to buy groceries, Morrison’s & Salisbury,s are minutes away in the car. There are plenty of eating places to walk to. Whether you want a relaxing holiday, just admiring the views or a walking/exploring holiday, this apartment is the ideal choice. We (myself, and 17 year old son) have had a great holiday and would highly recommend this apartment. I Couldn’t fault this apartment, view is to die for, could look at it all day! Bathrooms in particular were immaculate. Highly recommend for anyone wanting a fabulous holiday in Cornwall! Can’t wait to go back and I wouldn’t hesitate staying at this property again.

  • This little gem is one of the best AirBnb's we have ever stayed in. The view is breathtaking, the location brilliant. The apartment is beautifully appointed and everything has been thought of and catered for. There was drinking ice in the freezer and L'Occitane soaps and lotions at every sink. Not one but two hair dryers, the list goes on.

Built brand new for 2019, The Nook is a cosy self contained 1 bedroom chalet just 50 yards from the cliff tops. It’s a stones throw from Porth beach and the entrance to the legendary Porth Island, where locals and tourist gather with their cameras to capture that perfect sunset. This location really is as good as it gets ❤️😊 Guests can also borrow the Kayak’s for an evening paddle round the island. The Nook is set into the rising hillside giving it the cosy and private feel its name suggests.
Cooking facilities include an oven, microwave and a plug in counter top hob, so there’s everything you need to cook anything from a bit of toast to a full roast dinner. Its primarily 1 bedroom accommodation, but a temporary bed or travel cot can be provided to go in the living area for a child or even a young adult.
Th Nook is just a few hundred yards from Porth beach and the Mermaid pub/resteraunt at the bottom of the hill which actually opens out onto the beach. At the top of the hill is the sands resort, with spa, gym, pool all open to the public. The entrance the stunning Porth Island is just a couple of hundred yards down the road. If you really want to treat yourself, Jamie Oliver’s ‘15’ resteraunt is just 1.7 miles up coastal footpath... or around 5 minutes by car.
  • The chalet is perfectly located, with a beautiful view of the beach from the hot tub! The mermaid Inn is walking distance and situated on the beach! It also did lovely food. The beach opposite the chalet, which Gary recommended was lush we went down there early morning for a walk and it was so quiet and peaceful. Gary was such a good host, and made sure we knew how to work everything, as well as leaving biscuits for our tea which was very appreciated after the drive down!

  • Great place, fab location, everything you need and want near by. We loved our stay and will be back.

    Lucy2020-03-02T00:00:00Z
  • Very cosy little spot in the Nook. Space is what you'd expect from pictures, well finished and nice appliances. We stayed with out 6 month old son, as a hub to visit the Eden Project and also visited the Bedruthan steps and Fistral beach. Good location and decent drives for all these things. The host is really nice and friendly on welcome and during the stay. It was really windy when we went, and the walk up the main road to the side gate entrance was a few trips which isn't ideal, but manageable. We made use of the hot tub the first night- braving the elements, but after that it was too bad weather. Hot tub is shared so you can write your intended use times on the board which is a useful touch (our neighbours didn't do this though). All in all a good stay, very short walk to Porth beach and pub would visit again :)

    Shaun2020-02-27T00:00:00Z
  • I had a few days staying at Gary's place with a friend - despite the wet/windy weather, we had a great time and even managed to get in the sea. The Nook is small and cosy, with everything you need for a Cornish break. Gary helpfully provided suggestions of places to eat and visit. We didn't have a car which made getting around a bit tricky - if we were going again I'd probably rent one - however, we still managed to get out and about and were very impressed with the friendliness of the bus drivers!

    Rebecca2020-02-21T00:00:00Z
  • Beautiful space in a beautiful location. Really clean and modern little snug with a lovely host happy to help.

    Joshua2020-01-31T00:00:00Z
  • Gary is a brilliant host with the stay being very cute and cosy- lots of thoughtful touches and local recommendations. Hot tub was the icing on the cake!

  • I can't recommend staying with Gary enough. The chalet is gorgeous, in a fantastic location and the hot tub is absolutely amazing. Gary is absolutely lovely, he even went and brought us a water filter as the water board had told him the water was coming through yellow (we hadn't even noticed).

  • If you’re looking for a beautiful and comfortable place to stay, then look no further! Porch Cottage is cosy yet spacious, beautifully designed, and spotlessly clean. Suitable for young and old, I was blown away by it. Five star hospitality is matched with a great location, and comfortable beds and sofas make for real relaxation. I cannot rate my stay here highly enough.

  • Porth cottage is a beautiful place to stay. We didn’t make the most of the amenities but there’s enough to keep the family busy if you wanted a more restful day. Kids play area, swimming pool and hot tub all on site. The cottage is great and well presented. We are a family of 4 and it accommodated us easily, the rooms are large. There are 2 steps leading to/from the hallway, my 20 month old navigated these easily but it’s something to be aware of if you have a child just learning to walk or if you have a disability. The kitchen is well laid out and the appliances work great, everything is easy to operate. Overall a great place to stay, I would definitely like to visit again!

    Carl2020-02-28T00:00:00Z
  • Amazing cottage! Short drive to everywhere which was great! Hot tub was a bonus too! We will definitely return!

Holywell Bay, Cornwall, England. Tucked away just out of sight of the golden dunes of one of Cornwall's most beautiful beaches, Little Chy self-catering in Holywell Bay is one of North Cornwall's best kept secrets. The owners of Little Chy have recently restored this beautiful home
The owners of Little Chy have recently restored this stylish self-catering abode, adorning it with carefully chosen mid-century design pieces, upcycled finds and a big warm dose of Cornish hospitality. “Chy” means home in Cornish and, whilst Little Chy is smaller than the main house where the owners reside, it is certainly not little! Perfect for a couple looking for a romantic break by the beach, Little Chy’s contemporary open-plan living area is spacious and welcoming. From the fully-equipped brand new fitted kitchen, to stylish additions such as Ercol and G Plan furniture sitting alongside upcycled vintage pieces, this self-catering holiday house in Holywell Bay ticks all the boxes. Little Chy has been lovingly created and guests can look forward to thoughtful touches such as fresh flowers and a welcome pack on arrival, luxury hand-soap in the bathrooms. These little touches set Little Chy apart from more run-of-the-mill self-catering homes in North Cornwall, and will delight couples looking for a perfect romantic holiday by the beach. After a day stomping the cliff path there’s nothing quite so delicious as snuggling up on the sofa to watch romantic movies with a tub of Cornish ice cream and a glass of something bubbly… This stylish holiday home in Holywell Bay boasts a generous king-size bedroom with adjoining en suite shower room. If you are enjoying a babymoon or holidaying with a young toddler, the owners will be only too happy to supply a standard wooden cot or low toddler bed at no extra charge (please request either in advance of arrival), just bring your own cot linen and let the owners know if you’d like use of the room dividing screen too. The en suite bathroom's walk-in double shower is spacious enough for two (!) and the ideal place to wash sandy toes after padding up from the beach. Little Chy’s king-size bedroom suite has the added bonus of a separate WC, so no jostling for the shower room in the morning. •The North Coast of Cornwall is particularly beautiful which is why even Hollywood loves it; Bond fans will be interested to learn that Die Another Day was filmed right here on the golden sands of Holywell! More recently the bay was used as a filming location for the new series of Poldark (although we are yet to see him ourselves, unfortunately!) For those looking to try their hand at surfing, Holywell Bay and the nearby beaches of Penhale, Crantock and Perranporth are all popular surf spots where surfers of all abilities flock to test their agility and prowess upon the Atlantic breakers found on this stretch of coast. The busier surf town of Newquay is just a short drive away.
When staying this close to the beach you can look forward to walking in the shoes (or should we say flip-flops) of a true Cornish local; stroll to the bakery to pick up your morning coffee and croissants before finding your quiet spot sat atop the dunes with just the salt-kissed air and hypnotic crashing of the waves for company.
  • This was the perfect place to stay for a very rare child-free weekend break! Margaret is a wonderful host, with a beautiful home and thoughtful touches, and even came out in the dark and rain with a torch to welcome us after a long journey. Everything you need is provided, and it is in a beautiful position right by the stunning Holywell Bay. Highly recommended!

    Hannah2020-03-02T00:00:00Z
  • Margaret's place was perfect for a weekend away, had everything we needed and was so close to the beach. The outside shower was handy post adventuring in the surf. Lovely private little space, owners were on hand if we had had any queries. Pub and local amenities not very far away at all. Would recommend.

    Lucy2019-09-15T00:00:00Z
  • We absolutely loved our time in Margaret’s AirBNB, a perfect location right by Holywell bay. Great for exploring Cornwall or being more settled in and around the coast

    Daniel2019-09-08T00:00:00Z
  • Idylic location with a lovely large apartment (which you don't get from the pictures) that suited us perfectly. Margaret was extremely friendly and made us feel very welcome! We were sad to leave! Highly recommended!

    Sam2019-08-28T00:00:00Z
  • This is a lovely place to stay when looking for a quiet holiday in Cornwall. The location is a leisurely 5 to 10 minute walk to the beach which is great for surfing/ belly boarding. The appartment has everything you need and is fitted out and decorated to a high standard it also includes good Wi-Fi and all of the basic TV channels through a Sky box. There are two pubs that are both within a 5 minute walk and a small convenience store on the caravan park about a 10 minute walk away. The Holywell Bay Golf Club is great for some crazy golf or pitch and putt and the views whilst playing are superb, the food in the club house bar is also very good. Thanks to Margaret & Brian for being such lovely hosts.

    Mark2019-08-24T00:00:00Z
  • Spacious, nicely decorated, outdoor shower and surf board racks, outdoor table and chairs for a morning coffee, next door to a shop selling surf equipment and only a couple of minutes walk to the beach.

    Sarah2019-08-03T00:00:00Z
  • Holywell Bay combines beauty with serenity and Margaret’s place is just steps from the beach. She and Brian are excellent hosts and the apartment is airy and spacious. At night Holywell Bay is quiet as this is a family holiday destination. There’s adequate public transportation so you don’t need a car (as Americans we didn’t want to hazard left-side UK driving). Highly recommended.

    William2019-07-26T00:00:00Z
  • What a fantastic place to stay. It has everything and the beach close by too (make sure to watch the sunset). We loved the bakery in Cubert just up the road and found the stores and restaurants in Newquay to have everything we wanted.

    Clare2020-02-24T00:00:00Z
  • This is the second time I've stayed here; It's perfect whether you're in Newquay for work or on holiday, as it's close to both the city centre but also only 10 minutes from the beach. The annexe itself is tastefully decorated and very clean: There's a small galley kitchen with microwave, kettle, sink, fridge which is great for breakfast and simple meals. The annexe is at the bottom of the garden, and is amazingly quiet in the evenings despite being near the city centre. I would love an excuse to come here again and highly recommend it.

    Sarah2020-01-29T00:00:00Z
  • Have stayed here 3 times now for work. Perfect little place, clean, good WiFi and thoughtful touches like milk/juice in the fridge.

    Ellie2020-01-08T00:00:00Z
  • This is a real hidden gem. Very central yet also very quiet, spotlessly clean; well laid out, excellent facilities with a galley kitchen area, and thoughtful touches to greet you - bread, jam, fresh juice. The hosts respond quickly to any query, but respect the guest's privacy, and check in / out is easy. I spent 3 nights here while on a training course, and it was ideal due to its location and quietness. I'm returning next month again for work, but would also want to come here for a short holiday break - just 10 minutes walk from the coastal path.

    Sarah2019-12-18T00:00:00Z
  • Very clean space, perfect for my travels with work and good wifi. Great location and friendly host. I will return.

A really warm, cute and comfortable garden chalet, close walk to beaches, easy to access public transport, walkable distance to shops and the centre of Newquay. Lovely hosts, always happy to help and offer great advice for things to go and places to see around Newquay. Would definitely recommend and would definitely come back!

At the end of a day of adventure and exploring, comfortable beds made up with crisp cotton linen combined with peace, quiet and dark skies mean you're sure to leave Goonwinnow relaxed, refreshed and re-connected.
  • My husband and I enjoyed our stay! It was probably the most well-equipped Airbnb I’ve ever stayed in. It was nice and cozy, the bed was comfy, and the bathroom was like a spa. There were very thoughtful touches, like croissants, butter, jam, and milk and orange juice for breakfast. We should have planned to stay for longer, as there were a lot of amenities on site as well, like a game room.

    Annie2020-03-16T00:00:00Z
  • If you are looking for a cosy little space for a quiet weekend then this is perfect. It is beautifully laid out and there are some very nice personal touches. We very loved our stay here and would highly recommend it to anyone.

  • Highly recommend!!! Me and my boyfriend stayed here for 2 nights it was spotless and just like the photos! The personal touches were fabulous and the bed was super comfy! Great little additions throughout including those in the bathroom and magazines and folders full of local information. Would 100% stay again, so easy to find and response time and information from the hosts was incredible. :) Thank you

  • An absolutely beautiful cottage snuggled into the countryside. Stylish touches all over the cottage, like spa mood lighting in the bathroom with a giant bathtub and double showers, the beautiful industrial styled kitchen with a large butler sink, or the roaring modern logburner which warms you to your soul! We fell in love with the place instantly. We only stayed for one night, but we were extremely happy with our stay. Our only regret is not having time to eat the provided croissants before checkout! They looked delicious!

The Taphouse, Bear Bar are also located in Peterville which are great for lunch, and there's also a chinese restaurant and takeaway. If you head down the hill towards the beach, which is a 10 minute walk, we recommend the Driftwood Stars as nice traditional pub or Schooners overlooking the beach. Finally, there are more great pubs and restaurants in the village which is a 10 minute walk up the hill. Places to check out include Taste, St Agnes Hotel and Shellfish Beach.
  • Simon was the perfect host and our stay was so great. Weather wasnt the best but at least we had the hot tub to keep us warm 😂 Can't fault anything😁

    Ethan2020-03-10T00:00:00Z
  • We had the most amazing time staying here, had everything you need and Simon is always at the end of the phone for any questions or queries :)

  • Chy Mena, where do we begin? Perfect was the first thing that came to mind on our arrival. It was spotlessly clean, modern, stylish yet cosy. The hot tub was really just the cherry on top! Even storm Dennis the Mennis couldn't have ruined our stay. Simon was a star! He responded so quickly, provided so much information and quite honestly, we couldn't find any further questions to ask. Everything you'd need to know is provided to you ahead of time. The nearby restaurant serves beautiful food and the general area is of pure beauty. Be prepared to drive up some steep hills though! :D All in all, we couldn't have asked for anything better. Thank you again!

  • Small house well located between shops and the beach, the jacuzzi is a real highlight !! Very nice place to stay.

  • This property is well designed and has all your basic needs, plus a bit more! It is open plan with all modern conveniences, and was cosy and warm, even though we stayed in December. It is situated on a wooded hillside in a quiet, secluded spot but it has all the convenience of local shops and fabulous pubs that are just a few minutes walk away. The rocky cove of St Agnes is gorgeous with access to the South West Coast path running across the cliffs. We fully recommend Simon's place.

  • Michelle's cottage provided the perfect bolt hole for myself and my wife with everything considered, characterful and of the best quality. The bed and be linen were second to none and the quality of the kitchen equipment simply made me jealous. Michelle obviously cares about her guests as much as she obviously adores the cottage, with thoughtful touches and splashes of luxury and oodles of style. The stairs to the bedroom are very steep and you do need to use the rope hand rail but we soon got used to it and the extra care needed. The bathroom agin is uber stylish and the highest quality and the outdoor area, even though the weather didn't really lend itself to making full use of it, was charming. Mithian itself is lovely small hamlet with a decent country pub less than a minutes walk and St Agnes, just 2 miles away, is full of Cornish charm with easy access to the South West Coastal Path - just exceptional walking. Overall? And exceptional place to stay and well worthy of the accolades its reviews bestow.

  • My wife and I enjoyed a wonderful few days in Cornwall staying in this beautiful cottage. I couldn't recommend it more - wonderful relaxing break!

    Daniel2020-02-21T00:00:00Z
  • We had such a lovely time in a beautiful home and every detail was just so thought out. Really nice touches in terms of decorations and also a great use of such a small space too made our stay really comfortable. We had an awful weekend in terms of weather but the cottage was very cosy and we managed to spark up the fire and chilled out with Netflix on the smart tv which was a nice touch! Bed was super comfy and the robe and slippers again another nice touch! The host made us feel at home and was on hand at all times, making sure we had everything we needed. Garden was so pretty and quaint, would love to go back in summer when we could enjoy it! Will certainly be taking some of the ideas for design features back into my own home, and may even buy some knitting needles after being inspired by the ones in the cottage! Thank you, we had a lovely stay!

    Louise2020-02-17T00:00:00Z
  • We loved the Cottage. Warm and cosy and so easy to spend time in. Michelle goes the extra mile with the little details. Special section for our pooch with treats and welcome furry toy was a special touch. This is one Airbnb host who goes the extra mile. The village is very picturesque and the local (Miners arms) is what you would imagine a pub should be.

  • Thank you Dan - what an amazing stay at your beautiful cottage! Comfortable, clean, cosy and perfect location! Everything you could need and want for a lovely weekend away in beautiful Cornwall.

  • We had the most amazing weekend! It was so lovely to have such a homely place stocked with lots of the essentials. The beds were comfy and the evenings by the log burner so cosy. Lots of attention to detail and great location for exploring north Cornwall, We would love to Return in the summer!

    Harriet2019-12-08T00:00:00Z
  • We were expecting a stunning place but Dan's cottage exceeded our expectations...the home is beautifully furnished with lots of thoughtful touches and probably the best amenities/utensils (I won't spoil all the fab surprises!). Beds are so comfy it was a struggle to get up but a thoughtful 11am checkout helps! Shop, pub and chippy 2 min walk and Crantock beach a 5 min drive. This cottage retained it's cosy old feeling (some low doors!) with a nice contemporary feel, perfect for families/groups. Only suggestion I'd make is - stay for longer than 2 nights, we were pretty sad driving home!

  • Beautiful apartment close to everything.

    Ellie2020-02-17T00:00:00Z
  • Difficult to find initially as it was dark when we arrived. Best advice is to head straight to Pentire Hotel, but it's the neighbouring building immediately before it on the right hand side. Easy enough to self-check in once we realised the entrance was around the back! The apartment is beautiful , exactly as shown in the photos. Clearly a lot of thought given to the decor which was minimalist but still cosy & beach themed. Very clean, modern appliances & bathroom. We were pleasantly surprised to find a pint of milk in the fridge as well as tea/coffee/sugar which was very much appreciated as we were in need of a cuppa! Bathroom: Loved the rain shower & a personal favourite was the touch mirror. Shampoo conditioner & hand soap were all supplied & fresh towels. Bedroom: Lush soft bed & pillows with option of extra cushions & blankets in the built-in wardrobe. Hairdryer also supplied.

a single room within a family run guesthouse.bathroom shared with just one other room.on the same landing. We have a carpark at the guesthouse available on a first come first served.A large municipal carpark is available just 50 yards from the St Breca.A complimentary continental breakfast is available may through to September. There is no breakfast option during the winter period
Situated in the centre of Newquay we are 2minute walk to the beach ,shops and restaurant.A complimentary continental breakfast is available may through to September.
Newquay is cornwalls most popular beach resort with access to 7 beaches and plenty of bars and restaurants.
  • This is a guest house in the summer months and in the winter is room only which was fine for what I needed. A very small room and a little toilet and shower nearby which was fine as I seemed to be the only one in the building. One tea bag and no milk was a little parsimonious but it was very cheap and clean. Communication was good and finding the key was easy. Pubs and restaurants close by and I recommend the Sailor's Arms (which gives a discount with a CAMRA card) and Indian Summer restaurant which was excellent.

  • My partner and I came for a short break in February. We had a fantastic time at Lychgate Cottage. The whole cottage is super cosy. We were well impressed to find such a well equipped kitchen, had everything we needed and truly felt like home away from home. Apart from that, we also really enjoyed the peace and quiet of the village as well as the cottage. Having the lovely Albion pub next door and the Crantock beach just a short stroll away only added to the wonderful experience we had. We hope to come again some time.

  • I would highly recommend Sunny Corner. We stayed as a couple for a week and found the place to be spotless, well stocked with regard to kitchen equipment, spacious rooms, very comfortable beds (we slept like babies) with everything and more that we could have required. The location of the cottage is ideal with a 5 min walk to the beach. The use of the garage is great as we put our wetsuits and boards there, plus really fantastic to have a washing machine! We had a problem with the shower and Vicky/Ian did everything they could to get it sorted immediately. They were so helpful and friendly, especially as we contacted them on a Sunday. We had a fantastic stay, we will definitely return and recommend to friends. A fantastic find.

  • Lovely small cottage, great location with easy access to the beaches and pubs/restaurants. Crantock itself is so charming, we met and made many friends on our short stay. The cottage is well equipped, the garden area is at the front of the property next to the road, although very lovely and we used it a lot, you do have passing cars and the road is narrow. Parking is next to the garden, you do need someone to see you in and out of the spot as you can't see oncoming traffic that easy.

  • The pictures do not do this apartment justace as its a lot larger, we had a wonderful stay and will definitely stop again, unfortunately we were unable to get onto the wonderful balcony because of the horrendous winds over our stay. Great secure parking under the building with a lift to the apartment which made things a lot easier getting in and out of the accommodation. I love this area as it is so close to the beach, golf course and the town, But best of all are the walks right outside in both directions on the coastal footpath.

My place is close to Newquay town centre, the Lighthouse cinema, restaurants and dining, nightlife, public transport, the beach, family-friendly activities. You’ll love my place because of the views, the people, and the location. My place is good for couples or single travellers.
A really spacious and comfortable room. There is a sofa for relaxing. Spectacular views. Watch the sunrise from your bed. Neutrally decorated. Drawer space for storage, no hanging space unfortunately. There is a TV with a Sky box available if interested. You are welcome to bring a dog.
The house is really central for all Newquay has to offer. Vibrant night life and surf culture on the doorstep. The beaches are a short walk, the town beaches can be seen from the room.
  • Had such a fantastic time, the room and view and bed was lovely. Room was big and spacious, clean. In perfect place for Newquay we would definitely stay again.
