“Romantic fine dining in a coastal remote location. Fresh seafood and top wines. I especially love the venue, cozy and in a house with eclectic decor. Order the app board with salmon and home made bread, yum! Plan for dinner here as the perfect way to end a long day at the beach and exploring the redwoods...but bring some nice clothes to change into, and be sure to make a reservation, even if it's last minute just call ahead of time.”

“Walk along scenic trails bordering the rugged coastline for absolutely breathtaking panoramic ocean views. Of all the giant amazing rocks, Wedding Rock is the most famous and worth exploring. Then head to the Agate Beach parking lot, and follow beautifully forested short trail down to to the ocean beach. Come at low tide so you can walk long stretches of the coastline to search for agates, shells and fossils!”

“There are many trails at Prairie Creek State Park and the James Irvine Trail is our favorite. You feel as though you've stepped to a magical fairy forest. Giant redwoods, trilliums, ferns, and shamrocks border the trail, giving it the appearance of a manicured woodland garden. Keep in mind that this trail will connect you to famous Fern Canyon, but be warned, it is a very long walk back to your car. ”
