“A lot of different hikes available in different levels. If you are not used on hiking in the mountains, please do avoid the white-blue tracks as they require special equipment and good knowledge. Go out and enjoy, because it is in front of the door and for free”

“The steepest cog-wheel railway I've ever been on leads up to a gorgeous alpine lake. And it's an open-air funicular! Book your tickets online for the rides up and down and bring your hiking boots if you're planning on hiking around the lake.”

Reservation empfohlen.”

“Nowhere in Europe can you get closer to a glacier. Explore the Ice Grotto, a 100m -long ice tunnel. There's also an "Glacier Learning Path" with informative signs about the glacier. Tip: Park at the top of the Furka Pass and hike down to the glacier (3km, approx. 1 hour) for stunning views of the glacier. Take the bus back up (bus stop at Furka Belvedere).”

“Great venue for live music with shuttle bus from Lungern (CHF 10 /person - must be booked in advance through Taxi Toni in Lungern). Nice Terrace out the back for a drink after skiing or a Summer's day/evening. Great food and try the Hay Schnapps (Heuschnapps)”
