“Niv Gal and Ilana Bronstein started Anna Loulou Bar, which has to be one of the most fascinating bars in the region. From the beginning, this place brought together anyone and everyone who still dares to dream of peaceful coexistence. Locals dance the dabke, a traditional Arab circle dance, and listen to DJ Muhammad Jabali spinning Lebanese or Egyptian alternative rock and hipsters reciting Yiddish-inflected poetry during open mic nights. Oh, and the beer selection is great.”

“Situated in Jaffa's port with breathtaking dock views and the salty fragrance of the sea, this restaurant and bar serves seasonal seafood and fish. Brunch it up with the hearty ‘shakshuka’ (eggs cooked in tomato sauce) or munch on the calamari in a slightly sweet orange and chili sauce. Check out their website for details about evening shows. ”

“Faruk is in the heart of the flea market in Jaffa, the most magical place in the city, and offers an authentic Israeli menu that everyone can enjoy. The fresh raw materials, which come straight from the market, make up a rich selection of vegetarian and vegan dishes, seafood, meat dishes and more. A morning menu and an evening menu are available, served alongside a range of wines and alcohol. Next to the restaurant, on the neighbors’ shutters, you will encounter graffiti painted by artists from Israel and abroad who decorate the place and add plenty of color to the Farouk in the market. Come and spend time with friends and family and discover Farouk’s magic in the market!”

“Tucked away under the arches of Old Jaffa, Samuca bar is well loved by locals and keeps long hours, transforming from a café to a cocktail bar. Samuca is a little more chill than other bars in the area, with more jazz-focused music lineups.”
