Park
“Home to a colony of harbor seals; in winter, a place to see migrating whales —The weather can be variable on the coast and layered clothing is recommended. Also, these beaches are not for swimming ”

“Fabulous views where river meets the sea; music on weekends and fab food daily.”

Beach
“Goat Rock is wild, rugged, and moody: NorCal at its best. Please DO NOT go too close to the sea as there are powerful sneaker waves and people drown here literally every year. But if you respect the sea it really is a special place, especially in the early sunrise or sunset. ”

“Jenner Beach has Kayak rentals and little food places. If you go to Goat Rock, just up the road, you will find park parking and possibly a 'walk' if on a crowded day. Usually there are seals and their pups in a small area at the north end of the beach. There usually are Dossiers there to answer questions and steer you away from getting too close to the seals. ”

“New owners recently took over the Jenner Inn and opened a new restaurant and bar. It's just down the hill, and open for lunch and dinner. We like it.”

“Bring your own kayak to the public dock in Jenner or rent from Watertrek. You can go solo or sign up for a tour. The birdlife is varied and a few seals will likely come for a curious peek.”

Natural Feature
“This is a thick and burly beach break just south of the town of Jenner. Blind Beach is a somewhat protected beach break guarded by large rock outcroppings. This beach can capture large swell from virtually any direction. Blind Beach can hold overhead swell and produce a heavy wave with fast barrels. As a result, this isn’t a very good break for novice surfers.”

“This place is radical. Tasty wholesome buffet, always different. Pay what you wish! Engage in thought provoking conversation or just take in the bucolic view of the Russian River while enjoying food that reminds you of your immigrant grandma's natural home cooking. ”

“The most beautiful things from all over the world. A one-of-a-kind fair trade bag made by women from a tiny village in Guatemala. Stunning $15 Nepalese turquoise earrings. Everything's unique.”
