  • Beth is an above and beyond hostess and the rental was immaculate. Perfect location between town and the valley. Our family thoroughly enjoyed our stay here. Highly recommended.

  • This apartment is above and beyond many that we’ve stayed in... the bathrooms and kitchen especially are so gorgeous! The layout is perfect and the price is so reasonable, it’s a beautiful nurturing space. We will definitely stay here again.

  • The apartment is very nice - just as it appears in the pictures. I really enjoyed the premium coffee. I'll definitely stay there the next time I'm in Juneau.

  • We had a lovely stay in this beautiful apartment. Everything was very stylish and high quality. We didn't have a car but Taxi and bus services into town were very easy and frequent. Beth was very responsive and helpful. Having the Breeze-In next door was ideal We can definitely recommend this place!

  • Excellent host and lovely apartment. Juneau is a great place to stay, and even though this is in a fairly industrial area it was great to be centrally located between downtown and the airport.

  • Beth went above and beyond for my family. She knew I was spending Christmas with my kids and she prepared the space with Christmas decorations and even two stockings. How thoughtful!! This space was perfect for a family of 4. Having a full kitchen helped keep costs down on eating out and gave us more quality time together hanging out together. The apartment had everything we needed and we couldn’t have asked for a better space, yet alone, host! Thanks again, Beth! We will see you again, hopefully next December!

  • We are Juneau locals (living in Anchorage) and we needed a place to gather family for the holidays and Beth’s place was perfect for what we needed! The apartment was clean, complete with amenities, and had a homey feel. The rooms were very spacious. The kitchen was amazing! Big and complete with everything we needed. As a bonus, it was already decorated with Christmas decor which made for some great family photos. Also, such nice bath towels! And having a washer/dryer was a plus! Checkin was super easy. Beth was very responsive. Our guests were impressed and already had asked for recommendations. Would definitely recommend this place to anyone. As a Juneau local, we love Breeze-In so it being so close made even more enjoyable for us. Thank you Beth for your wonderful home!

Experience downtown living at this large charming garden-level studio located one block up from the State Capitol Building downtown. It's only a quick stroll to shops, museums, restaurants, cafes, nightlife, trails, and more! Features a queen-sized bed and a twin-sized daybed. Most suitable for couples.
SORRY, WE DO NOT SERVE BREAKFAST. Tuck yourself into a comfortable queen-sized bed in our cozy bed nook (with blackout curtains for privacy and to keep that midnight sun out!). Additionally, there is a twin-sized daybed and loveseat sofa in the living space. Both beds are dressed with a sheet, hypoallergenic mattress protector, quilt, and pillows. The TV is set up with Netflix, Amazon Prime, and Hulu. There is a desk nearby for your laptop. The full kitchen is outfitted with a stove, oven, microwave, and refrigerator. Clothes-washing and drying machines are located in the closet. Guests are welcome to use the Bluetooth speaker, alarm clock, Keurig coffee maker, and electric kettle. The recently renovated bathroom has a new toilet, new sink, and shower stall (no bathtub).
Our house is located in historic Downtown Juneau, up on what the neighbors like to call "Capitol Hill" due to its proximity to the Capitol Building. Since our house is estimated to have been built in 1912, we've tried to capture the charm and character of that era while still keeping the studio modern, clean, and comfortable. -NEARBY- The studio is located close to the lovely Capitol Hill playground, Capitol Building, City Museum, and Rainbow Foods grocery store. Additionally, there's a great selection of restaurants and bars within walking distance.
  • This place is amazing. Right next to downtown amenities, great hosts, and a truly unique and beautiful place to stay. You won’t regret staying here. The design, decor, and layout of the place is perfect. 10/10 would recommend!

Welcome to downtown Juneau living! Our sunny 1-bedroom apartment is the perfect place to come home to after a day of adventuring in Alaska's capital city. Just a short walk from downtown, you'll enjoy sitting on your own private, covered deck and taking in the view while firing up the grill to cook an Alaskan salmon feast!
The highlight of our airbnb is the spacious living area with the huge picture window overlooking Gastineau Channel and Douglas Island. The open concept kitchen with eat-in bar has everything you need to cook up some tasty memories. Finish off your evening on your own private covered deck for more breezy mountain views, and wildlife viewing. When it’s time to retire, you’ll fall right to sleep on the super comfy foam mattress bed in the bedroom. Or set up the brand new La-Z-Boy sleeper sofa in the living room if you've got more people (or if you have a penchant for falling asleep in front of the Roku TV! Netflix, Prime and Hulu are all set up). There’s also a queen air mattress, and a pack-n-play crib for your little one.
The Highlands neighborhood was built in the 1950s as Juneau's doctors and lawyers sought out bigger homes away from the bars. Back then they called it Snob Hill, but these days a bunch of new families like ours have moved in lending a bit more vibrancy. We find our quiet neighborhood to be the perfect balance of being within walking distance of everything downtown Juneau has to offer, while still being removed from the noise and bustle. Plus it offers beautiful views of the Channel and is one of the sunnier spots in town!
  • Couldn’t have asked for anything more! Beautiful place with a spectacular view of the mountains. Perfect location to downtown Juneau, very clean and modern. All the amenities/kitchen ware you need to make yourself right at home! Super cozy especially in the winter!

We live about 1/3 of a mile over the Juneau-Douglas bridge on North Douglas. Our home looks over the Gatineau Chanel and downtown Juneau and our property goes right to the beach. Our neighbors on either side are friends of ours and the entire area is quiet and safe, with a beautiful view. Juneau offers a plethora of outdoor activities including glacier hikes, mountain biking, cross country and downhill skiing, heli-skiing, fishing, beach combing, over 40 well-maintained hiking trails, mountains and water everywhere you look, and wildlife at every corner. You can also rent a car here or transport your own via the Alaska State Ferry. Come visit, but be warned, you might just pack your bags and move here.

  • Hands down the best place I've ever stayed in Juneau! (I'm an Alaskan that's been to Juneau/Douglas countless times) After traveling for 14+ hours and many diverted flights, it was a huge relief to arrive to this place that was SO clean, cozy and peaceful! Looking forward to coming back and staying here again! Tonja was a fabulous host!

One block from the State Capitol Building, this charming apartment in one of Juneau's oldest homes, is stocked with everything you'll need to make your stay fabulous. Short walk to trails, restaurants, shopping and chickens in the yard!
This home was built in 1892, and is one of Juneau's oldest homes. Most of the homes on 6th St. were built by the same family. The apartment is cozy and sweet and has been stocked with everything you'll need to make your stay comfortable. If there is something you need that you can't find, please ask us! We're happy to do our best to get it for you. Two people can comfortably share the space, a small child could sleep on the couch.
Downtown Juneau has some great restaurants and shops that you can easily walk to from the house. They are blocks away. We are also walking distance from some great hiking trails.
  • It was a quaint little place that had everything I needed for a week work trip.

    Jessica2020-03-07T00:00:00Z

  • Great location. Charming & comfortable. Jorden was great to work with and accommodating. I hope to be back.

    Jon2020-02-21T00:00:00Z
  • Jorden's cozy nook on 6th has set an entirely new standard for Airbnb's - look out all future spots I stay, you may never live up to this one! We are in love <3 This cozy refuge was so perfect that it didn't matter that the weather was a bit iffy, or that we were working most of the time we were there. It was still just SO enjoyable. Not only were there perfect little touches, like local coffee and beer, but there are also huge practical bonuses to this spot, like having access to a washer and dryer room that also served as great storage for our bags so we could truly feel like we were at home with our clothes in drawers. We loved the faux wood stove heater, the ease of access to downtown, and the beautiful sparkly lights on the tree outside. Perhaps my favorite touch was the natural cleaning products, both in the kitchen, but also in the shower - Lavender Dr. Bronner's! It felt just like home. We would stay here again in a heart beat - in fact, if we could we would beg Jorden to just let us live here!

    Eve2020-02-17T00:00:00Z
  • Jorden's space is excellent. Very cozy, clean, and close walking distance to anything you'd need in Juneau. Jorden was a great host and gave lots of great local recommendations. We'll definitely check this place out again next time we're in town.

    Stephen2019-11-27T00:00:00Z
  • The Nook was so lovely. I can't wait to get back to Juneau and stay there again! Check in was a cinch, Jorden was super responsive to needs and it has everything you could possibly need, including a great selection of books. The place itself is super cute and the bed nook was so cozy. I loved how close the unit was to the natural foods store and downtown - there's some nice hiking trails nearby too.

  • Super cozy and comfortable cabin with everything you need inside. Great location close to downtown but feels like you’re hidden in the woods. I wish I can stay longer and definitely will stay again! Thank you Lena and Zach

    Kate2020-03-15T00:00:00Z
  • Zach and Lena were very responsive hosts. We booked this trip the day before heading to Juneau, and they were able to accommodate. The A frame is cozy and quite comfortable. The place was furnished with thoughtful touches to make it feel like home. Loved its proximity to town and to Eaglecrest (for those looking for a place to stay in the winter). When we return, this would be the first place I'd look to stay at again.

    Lauren2020-03-02T00:00:00Z
  • Great place to stay if you want to be in the woods and easily connected to the city center. The place is very well furnished and beds and couches are very comfy. If you have some sort of disabilities I’d pay attention to the steep staircase to the upper level.

    Emanuele2019-10-05T00:00:00Z
  • I enjoyed the most beautiful weekend in this lovely, exceptionally appointed, *cleanest* AirBnB I've ever stayed in. The hosts shared the most thoughtful and thorough offering of both bath and kitchen amenities - next time I'm only bringing a toothbrush and my PJs! Both beds were very comfy with duvets and plentiful pillows. Thank you for a delightful weekend!

Location is best if you want to go up the road to North Douglas and see the aurora or stunning views of the Mendenhal Glacier that you can't see from town.. or anywhere else in town really.. Comms were fast and pro.

Our neighborhood is opposite side of the channel looking towards the downtown city. From the home it's a short 5 minute walk to the bus stop and at that location there is city stairway and public access where one may survey downtown Juneau, cruise ships and mountains.
  • This is a cozy space with a lovely separate sitting room that opens onto a deck with majestic views of mountains, Juneau and ocean and towering evergreens. You have everything you need for a very comfortable stay. Tom and Claudia are wonderful. I only wish I could have chatted more, but we were in the middle of covid precautions! You are a ten minute walk to the beach from here as well!

  • I have nothing to say but positive things about my stay with Tom and Claudia! They are both very friendly individuals and have a wonderful place to stay. When I first walked through the door, I was presented with a folder that answered most questions I had along with the house rules which were all reasonable. All amenities come with directions and labels to insure proper use. A toaster oven was available along with a microwave, coffee machine, and kitchen sink. Snacks like popcorn, oatmeal, nut mix, and coffee were all available to me during my time which makes your stay feel that much more comfortable. Their house smelled pleasant and all blankets, sheets, and towels were clean and folded. Overall I had a wonderful stay and I can tell Tom and Claudia has my best interest in mind! Would 10/10 recommend to anyone who enjoys a cozy place to stay in Juneau!

  • Tom and Claudia were great hosts and eager to help our group with disabilities in any way that they could. I would highly recommend this place to anyone. It has a great deck, an amazing view of downtown Juneau, and wonderful hosts.

Private queen bedroom in a beautiful shared home with lovely views.
Great host offers a private bedroom (with 1 queen sized bed) in a lovely large, warm, comfortable house. This clean home has great views, and an enjoyable atmosphere to relax, get work done, cook, do laundry, etc.
This house is located just a few minutes drive from downtown Juneau (shops, restaurants, museums, and the Capital); 5 minutes from Bartlett Regional Hospital, SEARHC and doctors' offices; 15 minutes from Mendenhall Glacier Visitor Center; and 15 minutes from great skiing and hiking at Eaglecrest.
  • See my first review below. Thanks again Mike and family for a great stay!

    Francesco2019-10-01T00:00:00Z
  • Fantastic host, felt more like seeing an old friend than meeting a new person. The whole place was impeccably clean and peaceful. Perfect private room with a huge modern and stylish full bathroom with everything you need. Short walk into downtown in a quiet little neighborhood only minutes from a small corner store and just across the bridge from the beautiful and lively city center of Juneau. Excellent value, absolutely five stars. Sweetest dog I've met in ages too!

    Jake2019-09-26T00:00:00Z
  • I had the pleasure of spending a few days (over two separate weekends) at Mike's place in Juneau. From the start, Mike made an effort to make me feel at home in his lovely place with his lovely family. They all went out of their way to help when one of my flights was cancelled. The bedroom is cosy, the bathroom clean and spacious, and the sitting room was perfect for drinking a cup of coffee while waiting for the rain to subside. A pleasant 25 minute across the bridge takes you downtown Juneau where there's plenty of very nice places to eat (but there are a few closer ones). Definitely recommended!

  • Great family to stay with

    Nora2019-09-16T00:00:00Z
  • Mike's place was beautiful, convenient, and comfortable, and he and his family made me feel very welcome. Although having a car is useful, you could technically walk or bike into downtown (and I think there is a bus too), yet you feel like you are out of the craziness of the cruise crowd. I loved looking out across the Channel. The room was very comfortable and quiet. The shared living space upstairs was a lovely place to chill out, read, or plan your next adventure. Highly recommend.

    Robbie2019-09-11T00:00:00Z
  • It was a really nice stay. Room is very cozy and it was nice sleeping there during rainy days in Juneau. Mike’s family is very nice and open people. They have provided all required things for us and made some nice suggestions to spend a day around town or hiking. Their dogs are adorable :) overall it was a really nice experience and we couldn’t be more thankful for that.

  • This cabin is a great deal in a great location. It was the perfect size for the 2 of us and our baby and just a short drive from downtown. It was very clean and private and we were really happy with our stay. We will definitely stay here again when we come back to Juneau.

  • My husband and I loved our stay at Maggie & Ian’s cabin! Great location, exceptionally clean, cozy, and comfortable. We had a flight delay out of Seattle due to weather and arrived in Juneau after midnight... too late to pick up our rental. Ian was very gracious to offer us a ride back to the airport/car rental the following morning to retrieve our car. We really enjoyed our relaxing getaway to Juneau and highly recommend Maggie & Ian’s adorable little cabin!

  • Great cabin on Douglas Island! Maggie was quick to respond when we had a last minute issue with our hotel. The home is located on the beautiful Douglas Island and close driving/ biking proximity to downtown Juneau. You truly feel like you are in an Alaskan cabin, the way she has it decorated is absolutely beautiful! I highly recommend Maggie’s cabin to anyone visiting Juneau!

Stay on Starr Hill- the best part of Juneau! Enjoy free, off-street parking at your private entry, or skip the rental car. We are an easy Lyft, Uber, or bus ride from the airport and less than a ten minute walk from the art galleries, shops, restaurants, coffee shops, breweries, and bars of downtown. The neighborhood is quiet, residential, and only steps from world-class hiking. Enjoy a comfortable, clean, and modern space while experiencing one of the most historical neighborhoods in Alaska.
This newly remodeled space features a brand new, queen size, pillow-top mattress, a cozy down alternative comforter, and your choice of soft or firm pillows. We've hung blackout shades over both windows in the space to ensure a restful sleep even in bright summer months. The couch pulls out into a full-size, memory foam mattress; extra bedding and pillows are stored in the space. Feel free to travel light- shampoo, conditioner, body wash, a hair dryer, and a round brush can all be found under the bathroom sink. A dresser and wardrobe rack are provided for easy clothing storage, as well as a full-length mirror. In-unit access to a washer and dryer as well as unlimited WiFi and a work surface make this space a great choice for those in town for work or longer stays. The kitchenette is equipped with a microwave, fridge, sink, two-burner stovetop, pots/pans, cooking utensils, cutlery, plates/bowls, mugs, pint/wine glasses, a kettle, french press, and local ground coffee to make your stay enjoyable. We've also included reusable water bottles, coffee cups, and a tote bag to further help you travel light and reduce waste. The space is also stocked with fiction, non-fiction, and guide books, maps, local trail descriptions, flora and fauna identification charts, and bear spray to make adventuring easy and safe! Included in your welcome binder will be a list of local recommendations that include restaurants, coffee shops, bars, breweries, bookstores, art galleries, museums, libraries, gift shops, theaters, grocery stores, drug stores, playgrounds, parks, swimming pools, tennis courts, yoga studios, gyms, bike rentals, and hiking trails which are all within a fifteen minute walk of our home. We've also equipped the space with a fire extinguisher, smoke detector, carbon monoxide detector, first aid kit, and emergency contact information to ensure you feel safe.
Our neighborhood is full of places to eat, shop, read, learn, exercise, and much more- especially if you're here on a First Friday of any month. Rainbow Foods, Kindred Post, Amalga Distillery, Devil's Club Brewing, Saffron Indian, and The Rookery are just a few favorites. The truly special part about our street, though, is its proximity to the Perserverance/Mount Roberts/Mount Juneau and Flume trail system. These are incredible hikes for any ability level. It's also a historical neighborhood - one of the oldest in the state - with homes on our street dating back to the 1890's. "Starr Hill" is named for Frank Starr, a soldier from Maine who arrived shortly after the discovery of the Juneau gold fields in 1880, staked some claims, but mainly found work in construction. Our home and several around it were built on what was once a cherry orchard, and several of these century-old cherry trees still remain. One is in our front yard!

Whether you’re here for the weekend or an overnighter for business or delayed due to weather this is the perfect place for you. Minutes away from the airport in a very quiet and safe neighborhood.
  • Cozy place for two people. We enjoyed the additional personal touches of complimentary water, coffee, and popcorn upon our arrival. Edwell was a very responsive and wonderful host. Thanks for a great stay!

  • I enjoyed my time here. I was able to relax in a cozy environment. It was minutes walk to the grocery store, and while there is no kitchen, it was nice to be able to walk there and grab something to eat. The "fire" place was wonderful to read and watch TV by. Edwell was very prompt with his responses and was very accomidating with all of my needs!

    Miranda2020-02-12T00:00:00Z
  • Ed’s place was very cozy and very comfortable. The bed was amazing.

    Roger2020-02-03T00:00:00Z
  • The appartment was exactly as described, the place is very comfortable, and Edwell was very reactive. The extra softness of the towels :D the huge bed and the special attentions (coffee, chips, popcorn) make up for the absence of kitchen - which is well detailed in the announce so make sure you don't expect any additional appliances. Thanks again for a lovely stay Edwell !

  • The place is warm and cozy. It’s the perfect shape for our little family. The shower is nice and hot, washer/dryer on site is awesome and I’m going to try to find towels like the ones they have because I love them!! Parking is the only weird part but it’s downtown Juneau so that is very normal.

Come and enjoy your Alaskan vacation in this cozy cottage with a large fenced yard and free parking.
This home is a little cottage that was built in the 1940's. Much of the original charm can still be seen in features like the solid wood doors, glass door knobs, and arched passages into the living room. The floors are the original hardwoods, and carry the patina of a rich history... That's a bit of humor, as the floors show some wear, but in fact are the original hemlock which is found readily available in the surrounding rainforest of southeast Alaska. What you will find is a clean and pleasing space without any pretensions, set inside a large yard with an exuberant garden which features a mixture of indigenous species and ornamentals. It's located in the heart of our community with great proximity to multiple points of interest. It's an old-fashioned neighborhood where kids still play in the streets on bikes and scooters, and neighbors work together on projects. A little like taking a step back in time...
It's less than 2 mi from downtown Juneau and just 5 blocks from Savikko Park (locals call it Sandy Beach). Explore trails that wind through the forest and out to the beach, weaving through the historic Treadwell mine district. You'll be just 2 blocks from the Island Pub where you can get beautiful salads or more substantial meals including their artisan pizzas. Walk two blocks the other direction to find the Douglas Cafe and Louis bar. Or stay home, sit back and relax on the couch with views of Mount Roberts and the top of the tram. If you're feeling more energetic, then head out the door to try out some hiking. The Mount Jumbo trail or the Gastineau Meadows trailheads are both just a short walk from the house. If you are there over the 4th of July you will be at the heart of the activities, with the house just 1 block from the small town parade. Enjoy the old fashioned 3-legged foot races, dog frisbee contest, music, food carts and general festivities. If you come in the winter months and want to ski, you will be just 13 miles from the Alpine ski lifts and groomed Nordic ski trails at Eaglecrest.
  • Great location, very clean and comfortable. Good communication and flexibility from the host. Would stay again!

    Rachel2019-09-02T00:00:00Z
  • We loved the convenient location, comfortable beds and all the comforts of home that the house provided. This house worked perfectly as a base to explore Juneau for our family of 4. The kids especially appreciated the additional futon in the second bedroom, allowing them to each have their own sleeping space.

  • Katharine made us fresh from the oven, homemade rhubarb pie for us to enjoy as we arrived in Juneau. Highly recommend

    John2019-08-10T00:00:00Z
  • Katharine’s place was perfect for my wife and I and 2 grown sons, she communicated well and everything was as advertised. We greatly appreciated the washer and dryer as it rained during our stay and we hiked some muddy, wet trails. The location was ideal since we were there for the marathon that started and finished at Sandy Beach, about 500m away. We’d highly recommend Katarine’s Cottage for those interested in visiting Juneau.

    Christopher2019-07-31T00:00:00Z

I have many guests who travel for work that are by themselves, and I don't want to charge them so much that they can't afford it, just because it can accommodate more people. If you feel that the extra animal/person fee is too expensive, and the value isn’t there for you, please don’t book this place. We want to offer pet friendly places and we want your business, but we want you to be happy. We strive to keep the properties clean and maintained for all guests, which this fee helps pay for. Your expectations should be limited to what is promised here, and reviews should reflect how we did with these promises. Before submitting your review, please remember to base it on the following criteria and what was promised to be provided for the price paid as follows: Easy check-in process – You’ll be able to self-check in. Kelli will give you check-in details prior to arrival, including a lock box code. You’ll be able to access the rental at your leisure after check-in time, at 4pm. We offer early check-in options, if it’s available a couple days prior to your arrival for $25-$50, depending on your arrival time. Please text her at 907-632-8895 for the fastest response. You can also, call her. She’ll respond to web site messages as soon as she can. It's 3 miles from downtown, and the bus stop is at the bottom of the hill. You can walk to go fishing, hiking, a cool coffee shop, and a fabulous park and brand new, super cool playground. It has a great, paved running/biking/walking path along two lakes, called twin lakes. Accurate Description of the space - I try to make continuous improvements when guests make suggestions and do my best to keep the changes updated and published. If I missed something please let me know, so I can update the information. If you are missing something you were counting on, please let me know immediately, so I can try to provide it for your stay. Great Value – Juneau is expensive, especially during peak season, and while this is a more affordable option, we understand that it can seem expensive. Part of the value is the ability to rent for only one night and have an additional person. The price fluctuates depending on the season. We have to charge more when the business is there, so that we can afford to have it vacant for long, slow periods.
The location is very convenient, centrally located between the two main activity centers for Juneau. There is a great bike path along Twin Lakes and the bus stop is at the bottom of the street. Go to https://juneaucapitaltransit.org to get the bus schedule. Taxi, Uber, and Lyft are also available in Juneau. Downtown - 3 miles You can walk, or take the bus. Airport - 5.5 miles There isn't a bus stop right at the airport, but there is two blocks away. Mendenhall Glacier - 12 miles There is no bus stop at the glacier, and the closest one is 1 mile away. There are lots of trails within close walking distance. The hospital has a cafeteria, very reasonably priced. There is a coffee shop on the corner, and a small restaurant in the training center on Salmon Creek Lane, just a 10 minute walk away. And the Gold Creek Salmon Bake, featured on Top Chef, is open May through September and is also less than a 10 minute walk. Here is a link to information about Juneau’s bus service: https://juneaucapitaltransit.org/how-to-ride/
  • I love staying here on my trips to Juneau, great as always

    Erica2020-05-06T00:00:00Z
  • Really nice place! Very cozy, it’s easy to find, and it had all of the amenities you would need for your trip!

    Kami2020-03-01T00:00:00Z
  • Great and stylish space! My second time at Kelli’s place. Great views too!

    Eric2020-02-26T00:00:00Z
  • Great place to work and stay! Excellent space for working, great kitchen space to prep and make meals, very comfortable bed and chairs to relax in. Central location between the valley and downtown. Kelli gave excellent tips and was very communicative.

    Rachel2020-01-13T00:00:00Z
  • This place was a great place to stay at! In my opinion I like it better than a hotel because it had things a hotel doesn't typically have, like a washer/dryer and a kitchen. It was more reasonably priced compared to hotels too. There was a point where one of the center bed supports broke but I contacted the host and she fixed it for me pretty quickly! The view of Douglas Island was great too! I would definitely stay here again.

    Sherman2019-12-31T00:00:00Z
  • This place is beautiful and just as described. I loved staying here over the holidays in December! When the weather is clear there are beautiful views looking across the channel. The location is great. I stayed with my dog and we appreciated the access to close by trails at Twin Lakes (for a mellow walk) and Blackerby Ridge (for a more challenging hike)

    Kristin2019-12-26T00:00:00Z
  • Exactly as advertised. Homey, comfortable, well appointed space with nice view, about equidistant between downtown Juneau and airport/Valley. Washer dryer are a god send.

    Saul2019-12-19T00:00:00Z
  • I value two factors in an AirBnB—good communication and a tidy/accurately described space. Kelli delivered on both. Wi-Fi is good and everything is functional. I would love to stay again.

  • This is a well appointed and spacious apartment. The beds are very comfy, and the kitchen had the best pots, pans and utensils I have ever had in an Air BnB, which made me very happy because I prefer to cook and eat in most nights. I was in Juneau on business in January, so the downtown proximity to the courthouse where I was working was perfect. Walking distance from several nice restaurants for other nights. The layout provided privacy as the two bedrooms are on opposite ends of the unit. The hosts were easy to communicate with and responsive to my initial need for more heat in an unusual Juneau cold spell. Nice big pantry with some useful food and spice items. Thanks Geoff and Corle!

  • Great space / Great Location - Truly a "Home away from Home" in downtown Juneau! My boss and I frequently travel to Juneau on business and this is our go-to. It's conveniently located, quiet, homey and has everything we need - It really does feel like a home away from home. The decorative touches really add to the vibe. Geoff and Corle have been wonderfully responsive and are close by if needed - although we have never had any reason to call on them. The place is perfect!

    Caprice2020-01-08T00:00:00Z
  • This place is great. Very close to town, bottom floor of the entire building. Bedrooms at opposite sides. Laundry in the apt. Lots of extras in the pantry. It felt like being in someone’s home.

Beautiful view of Juneau from the first floor of our 3 story home . Every person who has stayed with us is amazed by the view, please read our reviews. There is not a kitchen! A small frig, microwave, toaster, coffee (keurig) wet bar and a BBQ on the deck and a few food items await you. There is a family room, 3 bedrooms that sleep 2 persons each and 2 baths. Max occupancy is 6.
A great deck for relaxing and BBQ. There are stairs down to your private entrance. We have a wet bar, microwave, toaster, coffee pot and small frig. If you are an outdoor enthusiast walking to town is a great option a 20 min walk or there is hiking that starts right out your door. When Cruise Ship Season arrives your view turns yet more spectacular with the large vessels right in front of your view . You will be very pleased with the beauty and peace this space captures. Please take note our City laws require us to collect upon your arrival 5% city and 7% bed tax of Airbnbs payout to us.
Our neighborhood is pretty quiet and we ask you follow speed limit signs while driving up and down our street. We also require quiet outside noise after 10 on Sunday thru Thursday and 11:30 on Friday and Saturdays to be respectful to the neighbors.

  • Great place and view!

    Scott2020-01-27T00:00:00Z
  • Deenie’s place was amazing!!! As advertised and more. And the best stocked pantry I’ve ever seen - which was really helpful cos we made the trip in peak winter, it was too cold outside to get basic supplies on a dime. Speaking of the cold, the place was super well insulated and heated. It was heaven and a refuge from all the cold!

    Dhanur2020-01-20T00:00:00Z
  • We love staying at Deenie’s! We came back for the second time and stayed through Christmas. The place is lovely and has everything you would need! Each bedroom is unique and the deck is awesome, best view in town!

  • This was my second time booking with Deenie. We will come back to her whenever in Juneau. She really bent over backward to make sure we were able to return to her home. She has outstanding hospitality and her home was spotless. The view isn't too shabby to say the least. I would recommend booking with her anytime you're in Juneau. The price is definitely on point and location super convenient.

Newly built ground floor apartment in an (also newly built) modern home. Located in a quiet neighborhood downtown close to grocery stores, museums, hiking trails, tourist shops, etc. Fully stocked kitchen and brand new bed, appliances, etc. In floor radiant heat to keep you toasty. Living space is small but has everything you need for a comfortable Juneau home base.
We just built the house and apartment, so the grounds are currently unfinished and there isn't really any usable outdoor space yet. However there is plentiful street parking nearby and it is a very short walk to many lovely places to enjoy the outdoors.
"The Flats" is an adorable neighborhood full of families and pets. Our block dead ends on a creek so while there is a lot of pedestrian traffic (many heading to nearby Cope Park), there is no through street traffic.
  • We very much enjoyed our stay at Pagan's place! The apartment is conveniently located in town, close to the mountains but also within walking distance to a grocery store and several restaurants. It was very clean and just the right amount of space for two people. Pagan went above and beyond by mailing us some items we forgot in our hurry to checkout. Would definitely stay here again!

    Kyle2019-09-19T00:00:00Z
  • Great location - central to everything you'll need. Unit is very well appointed with everything you'll need. Very clean and modern. Would recommend staying at Pagan's in Juneau!

  • What an amazing space located so close to everything. Big plus? It’s quiet! Any place else in Juneau there’s constant noise of buses, construction or planes and helicopters. Added to my favorites!

  • It was a pleasure to stay at Pagan's place. It is in a pleasant neighborhood close to Capitol Hill and easy to walk to downtown Juneau. The apartment is new and well equipped and functional.

The hosts went out of their way to ensure everything that could possibly be needed was available. The location of this place is perfect. Plenty of trails close by and a short walk over the bridge to downtown. When I return to Juneau, I will definitely be booking again!

  • The pictures and description are accurate. Entry was easy. Kathleen was welcoming and we much appreciated the offer of a late check out. We loved the location and the views from the living room and the balcony. Our friends children enjoyed the toys inside and outside the apartment. The bus stop is steps away from the front door, and the house has plenty of parking. It’s 2.5 miles from the airport, 2 miles from the famous Mendenhall Glacier, less than a mile from Duck Creek Market convenient store (about a 15 minute walk), 4.5 miles from the University of Alaska, 6 miles from the ferry terminal. Walk to the glacier on the bike path or along nearby trails that run behind the house. Other occupants in the house include long-term residents so all of your supplies and amenities are in your room. You will have a bathroom and kitchen caddy, with your shampoo, soap, cleaning supplies, towels, etc… in it, so you’ll be set with all you need. Aunt Margaret, lived in this house for over 30 years, and always had a room for someone who needed one. Kelli has continued to keep this house available for affordable housing for long-term residents and Alaska visitors. Your private, rented room will be clean and ready for you. The condition of the house is that of reasonable living with roommates. You’ll have your own shelf in the refrigerator and are welcome to use any of the supplies/equipment in the kitchen and enjoy use of all common areas. The common areas of the house are cleaned twice per month, but not necessarily immediately prior to your stay. It's self check-in so a late arrival is not a problem. The door code will be provided a couple days before your arrival. Check in is at 4pm and checkout is at 11am. We will offer early and late checki-n and out options a couple days in advanced. Host, Kelli, happens to be a co-owner of a large tour company with over 25 tours throughout Alaska, and offers 15% discount on all tours offered by the company to her vacation rental guests. Popular tours offered in Juneau, Ketchikan, Skagway, and Sitka include whale watching, salmon bakes, river rafting, kayaking, canoe tours, boat tours, hiking, gold panning, private cars, Mendenhall Glacier tours, jeep tours, Alaska RV and Cruise tour packages, and more. If you are interested in this discount, ask Kelli for the details. Please Enjoy your stay with us! We will strive to provide the best customer service and improve as we go with feedback from our guests. We hope to earn your five-star review! Great Communication – Kelli is known to be responsive to guests before, during, and after their stay. You can expect prompt responses to your questions. Please text her at 907-632-8895 for the fastest response. You can also, call her. She’ll respond to web site messages as soon as she can. Clean Accommodations – Your private apartment should be sparkling clean. Great Mendenhall Valley Location – It's steps from the city bus stop and two miles from the famous Mendenhall Glacier which you can get to by car, or walking on a paved bike path or gravel trail. You can take the bus for one mile and walk the second mile. This is not a downtown Juneau property. Downtown Juneau is substantially more expensive than the Mendenhall Valley, so this location for the price should not be compared to that of downtown. If you want to be downtown, and don't want to take a 45 minute bus ride to go 16 miles, then this space is not for you.
This is the only house in the neighborhood facing the main street. It makes it pretty private, in that you can't see any neighbors, and the bus stop is almost at the end of the driveway. That said, the street noise is apparent, and could be a problem for those who need quiet. The neighborhood in the backyard is nice and quiet. The bus stop is just steps away. You can walk one mile to the glacier from the bus stop. Here is a link to information about Juneau’s bus service: https://juneaucapitaltransit.org/how-to-ride/ Airport – 2.5 miles. The closest bus stop is about two blocks away. Mendenhall Glacier – 2 miles. The closest bus stop is 1 mile away from the Glacier. There is a paved bike path the entire way, as well as a trail the entire way. Duck Creek Market Convenience Store – about a 15 minute walk. There is a bus stop there. Super Bear Grocery Store - 1.7 miles University of Alaska – 4.5 miles. Bike paths the entire way, and trails all the way around Auke Lake where this lakeside campus is situated. There is a bus stop there. Ferry Terminal – 6 miles. The closest bus stop is 1.5 miles from the ferry terminal.
  • My visit in Juneau has been perfect, because of Kellis hospitality.

    Hashem2020-05-05T00:00:00Z
  • Kellis house is in a great location for sights! The bus is very easy to downtown.

    Hashem2020-04-09T00:00:00Z
  • Very responsive and accommodating host. The property is walking distance to the Mendenhall Glacier. Location-wise, it is less than 10 minutes from the airport. It costs around $30 oneway to get to downtown Juneau from there if UBER or Lyft are how you plan to get around.. much cheaper to rent a car or take the bus if you dont wish to use the apps. Kelli supplies plently of towels, toiletries and though I didn't use it, a coffee maker.. Comfortable bed and pillows to go with that.

    Marc2020-02-12T00:00:00Z
  • Excellent location, close to the health club and shopping. Though this place is simple the kitchen and laundry access is excellent for the price point. This place is ideal for adult travelers and singles looking for cost efficient travel.

    Rosalie2020-01-03T00:00:00Z
  • Location. Location. Location. This AirBnB is in an excellent location. It is a short drive to Juneau's number one tourist attraction, the Mendenhall Glacier. A short walk to take the bus if you want to save on gas money -- literally next door to the house. And a short walk down the street to Duck Creek Market, a nice convenience store. But the house is clean from top to bottom and the room was very clean and quaint with hard wood floors in the room and throughout the whole house. Plus a basket full of quality shampoo, conditioner, body wash, and lotion to use in the shower and bathroom too. My sister's favorite thing was the bed and the red and white quilt on it. Red is her favorite color.

  • Close to the airport and Mendenhall Glacier, and right in front of a bus stop. You can get to Mendenhall Glacier Visitor Center on foot via the sidewalk connecting to a flat trail from the home. Cozy space with basic amenities provided and ample parking in front. Housemates are courteous, but you are sharing a bathroom with quite a few other residents.

  • It’s a great place to stay for the price

    Dillon2019-11-04T00:00:00Z
  • Really nice place. The airport is very close however our first cab never showed up, which caused a later arrival than anticipated and almost costed the flight. I would suggest having some backup options for both early and late flights. Other than that, highly recommended.

Cozy & Private studio with it's own bathroom and some kitchen amenities. 5 Minutes from the airport, and 15 minutes from the ferry & downtown Juneau. If you are traveling for work, enjoying Juneau for pleasure or a quick stopover, you'll love this little getaway in a quite neighborhood with a dead end street and no thru traffic. Brand new remodel of rental this summer.
Come and go as you please without disturbing others. Keyless entry with guest-specific code. High speed wifi available as well as cable TV. Comfortable new bed with cozy sitting area. Refrigerator, microwave and coffeemaker. Toiletries and hair dryer. Laundry facilities on site. Off-street parking. You will be welcomed with coffee, tea, bubbly and a couple of locally brewed libations to enjoy at your arrival.
Our favorite coffee shop is only a few blocks away. Even closer, is a small shopping mall, that includes groceries, a great sandwich shop and a glacier only a few miles away. If you have time, should take advantage of the glacier that is only about 3 miles away along with nice walking paths
  • I stayed here for a week and it was overall a pleasant stay. The room is in a beautiful home in Mendenhall Valley with a wonderful view of the forest. Very cozy. No kitchen but Debbie does a great job of accomodating.

    Pablo2020-03-27T00:00:00Z
  • Such a beautiful space. Small studio good for two people, super clean and stylish. Debbie added nice little touches we appreciated (and enjoyed) very much. Close to the airport and plenty of places to eat. Would highly recommend!

    Melissa2020-01-22T00:00:00Z
  • Debbie's place was absolutely 5 star, immaculately clean and a really good location in the Valley. The personal touches and the snacks provided were thoughtful and kind! We would recommend this airbnb to anyone looking for privacy and comfort while visiting Juneau!!

  • Great location, comfortable and private room with plenty of thoughtful and welcoming touches. We stayed here for work and it was perfect for our needs. Would recommend.

    Naomi2019-11-10T00:00:00Z
  • While we only stayed one night at Debbie's place, it was excellent and I'll be seeing if the room is available again for future stays! The place is the perfect size for 2 people, it was clean, and tidy. There were thoughtful amenities provided, and an issue that I accidentally created was immediately addressed. The location is easy to get to, and if your business is in the valley in Juneau - like ours was - it's likely only a few minutes from where you need to be!

    Brandon2019-11-04T00:00:00Z
  • Absolutely wonderful stay at Debbie’s place. The room is very cozy and cute. The space was extremely clean and had wonderful amenities. When I checked in I was greeted with Alaskan beers, couple small bottles of champagne, bananas, oatmeal and yogurt for breakfast. Debbie also let me have a late checkout without me even asking to accommodate my late flight. I highly recommend staying here if you are in Juneau!

We are a family of three whom live in a quiet neighborhood in the Mendenhall Valley .... near the Mendenhall Glacier. Our home is comfortable, inviting and is located near public transport, outdoor activities and the airport and ferry terminal from which I can provide pickup/drop off services. Our outdoor space is wonderful! Don't forget to bring your swimsuit for a dip in the hot tub! Our home is best suited for individuals, couples and business travelers.
Private room with adjacent bath. Access to outside hot tub. Shared kitchen usage and living space is available for relaxing and socializing. Outdoor space is abundant and tranquil.
We live on a quiet cul-de-sac and have for the last 16 years. Our neighbors are great!
  • This space and the hosts were amazing. They picked me up at the airport and welcomed me with open arms into their home, sharing food, local tips, and a peaceful space with me. Great walking distance from the Mendenhall Glacier (about two miles) along beautiful roads and national parks. HIGHLY recommend that you book here when coming to or through Juneau. Could not say enough positive thing about this space and hosts.

    Jenny2019-09-24T00:00:00Z
  • I ended up being stranded by weather on an island and not staying here, but the hosts were understanding and friendly about it.

  • I had a great stay here! Teresa was accommodating for a fairly last minute booking (the night before), easy check in process, and she even dropped me off at the ferry terminal after I had to return my rental car at the airport. The space is perfect as you have easy access to the hot tub which is connected to the private bathroom. Super comfy bath robes for after hot tub/ shower! Upstairs has a gorgeous A frame window I enjoyed sitting at in the morning. I had a nice chat with Teresa my first night-very friendly! Definitely recommend if you’re not bothered by staying away from downtown ....or want to be closer to airport/ferry!

    Callie2019-09-07T00:00:00Z
  • Very welcoming hosts! Sparkling clean bathroom and room. Teresa even made the best gluten free banana bread for breakfast since my husband has Celiacs disease. Super thoughtful and accommodating. We had tons of fun in Juneau. We rented a car and it was well worth it if you are staying for more than a day.

    Erin2019-09-04T00:00:00Z
  • I have never just rented a room before through AirBNB. Teresa was very quick to respond to questions. Check in was easy. The home and the room was clean and very comfortable. I would stay here again.

This beautiful one bedroom apartment is in the heart of downtown within minutes of all Juneau's attractions and bus system - no need for car rental! It is across from Juneau's Marine Park/Seawalk, with views of Gastineau Channel, Douglas Island and minutes from shopping, tours and numerous restaurants.
Coin operated washer and dryer located in common area.
The apartment offers close proximity to many fun activities such as the trail heads to Mt. Juneau and Mt Roberts, Mt. Roberts Tramway, along with the City and State Museum's. While exploring Juneau's Historic District you can enjoy some shopping and treat yourself to a wonderful meal at one of the many restaurants downtown. Don't forget about trying out the local Devils Club Brewery and Amalga Distillery just up the street from the apartment! It has a killer view, we're talking front row seats for the fireworks that are lit off every July 3rd (weather permitting) at midnight to celebrate the 4th of July.
  • Everything was as advertised, but even a little bit cooler. The banditry of chickadees is fabulous.

  • Clean and stylish apartment that is great for a stay in Juneau. The location is excellent as you can walk to restaurants and shops in the downtown area. Heather was a wonderful host and was very accommodating. She even allowed me to stay an extra night when my flight was cancelled. Definitely would recommend!

    Lizzy2020-03-01T00:00:00Z
  • This was such a lovely apartment. I loved how spacious and clean this place was. If I have to come back to Juneau again I will book again. The location was convenient to my meetings and everything was in walking distance.

    Rhonda2020-02-27T00:00:00Z
  • Heather was a perfect host. She went out of her way to make certain we were able to get in and settled, even though we were late and the weather was ice and snow. The apartment was spotless, warm & cozy. There were more pillows then I could hope for ... and I really like lots of pillows. The central location is perfect for a visit. If available, I will definitely rent from her again when we go back.

My home is located on scenic Douglas Island. With sweeping 280 degree views of the Gastineau Channel, Mount Roberts and Mt. Juneau. Sit out on the balcony and watch the bald eagles soar. Just a 10 min. walk to Sandy Beach, the only sand beach in the area. Walk a few blocks to local hangouts like the Island Pub, famous for it's pizza. Downtown Juneau, the Mendenhall Glacier and other adventures are within a few miles of the condo. Easily accessible by bus, taxi or maybe a kayak for fun!
Feel free to use the kitchen, just clean up afterwards.
Sandy beach-a mix of fresh water from melting snow and rainfall flows into the ocean and shells and sea glass can be found. Have a bonfire and roast smores.
  • April was a very nice person and the view was great. The bus line is right outside, otherwise a car is handy!

Enjoy living in the Historic Flats District with easy/walkable access to downtown, restaurants & bars, grocery stores, gift shoppes, hiking trails, Aurora Harbor, and the Gastineau Waterfront. It's also located above Modality Therapeutic Wellness, includes 2 passes to "The Gym" located next door, and is one block away from Coppa coffee shop & ice cream parlor! For business traveler's, the Alpine Suite is also walking distance to State & Federal office buildings throughout the downtown area.
Alaska living at its finest! Come stay in Juneau's brand NEW luxury apartment development; developed by award-winning design firm, Bauer/Clifton Interiors. This fully-furnished one bedroom apartment is conveniently located within the Historic Flats District in downtown Juneau and is well-appointed with quality finishes throughout. Including a modern kitchen with white marbleized quartz countertops, open floor plan with designer furnishings, and a modern bathroom with a deep soaking tub. This building was once a 2-story Blockbuster Video Rental but was transformed into a modern, mixed-use facility in 2016; incorporating three residential apartments and three commercial suites.
The Historic Flats District neighborhood grew up around the original Alaska Native campsites and the area expanded as the mine tailings were deposited there. Most of the homes date from the 1910’s to 1950's. The major grocery shopping area and cultural district are the anchors in the Flats & neighboring Willoughby Districts and is populated by cozy craftsman-style homes with small yards. As with other homes in the downtown area, the prices command a slight premium over comparable homes in the area due to the convenience of living near town and Juneau’s major employer—state government.
  • We loved our stay at Jason's place. Very clean, very stylish, well laid out space. We would definitely return. The gym pass was a great added touch, we used it everyday we were there.

    Erinn2019-11-29T00:00:00Z
  • Beautiful, well-designed space just outside of the main downtown Juneau area. The building looked to have been updated recently as it had modern touches and construction. The interior was laid out very thoughtfully. We were excited to see that a gym pass was hanging on the coat rack for us (which was just across the parking lot) so that was a great option during some of the rainy days. Overall a great, modern place to call home in Juneau. Highly recommended!

  • Jason was quick with his responses and was a super friendly and communicative host! The place was clean and had everything you needed from kitchen supplies to even games to keep you entertained at night ! The building is across from a school so expect a lot of children running and screaming but otherwise it was quiet at night. The unit is literally close to everything . I would definitely recommend this place and will definitely come back !
