  • Enchanting hideaway sculpted from the hillside with unobstructed views of the horizon extending from the shore of Sunset Beach, which is only a short stroll from the bungalow. The property's sustainable and eco-friendly operation provides a welcome exception to the increasingly trafficked North Shore. Ours days were spent exploring the many nearby beaches and sampling the local food trucks and fruit stands. After watching the sunset from the numerous vantage points on and around the property and grabbing dinner in town, our nights were spent drinking wine on the bungalow patio to the serenade of crashing waves and nocturnal wildlife. John is a kind, helpful, and welcoming host. We are fortunate to have discovered this unique experience.

  • This was the perfect location and place. I only wish that I could've stayed longer.

    Angelia2017-01-01T00:00:00Z
  • You wake up to a gorgeous view, put on some coffee, check out the surf at Sunrise Beach, then hop on a provided bike to go explore... or grab a board and throw it in your car. It's the quintessential North Shore spot. Peaceful, green, gorgeous, unique, and still close to go hit up food trucks, the acai bowl place, Pipeline, or drive to fun places nearby. Big shower, efficient use of space, and you can hear the waves at night from your room. Tons of fun.

    Chris2017-01-29T00:00:00Z
  • We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the treehouse bungalow. The bungalow is cozy and provides everything needed to feel at home, with the most amazing view from the jungle to the ocean. The sunset can be seen from the deck and even from inside the bungalow. The property is beautiful and the hosts are so friendly and generous with providing bicycles and snorkel gear and anything else you could ask for. We would definitely return to this tropical paradise bungalow.

  • This treehouse was such a great experience, very much what me and my partner were looking for. The stairs were not a problem I quiet enjoyed walking up them. The room had everything you need, I LOVED having the blender and made acai bowls every morning! Only downfall is I didn't have any bug spray... My mistake.. Bed blankets and pillows are a tad old and rugged. Apart from that everyone on property were friendly. The South African guest who was helping out on the property was lovely and helpful. I never formally met John which would have been nice but having privacy was good, we didn't feel like we were intruding on anyone. Waves were massive on our first 2 days leaving the beaches closed which was a bummer but we got to watch the locals charge which was great to witness.

  • Ahh... what a wonderful weekend in the trees. This was just what we needed. Yes, even people living in Hawaii need a vacation. :-) Since living in downtown Honolulu, I've been craving a weekend in nature. This gave me what my soul was looking for: fresh air, breeze, being surrounded by green, sounds of waves, and we were even graced with rain on the roof top (we don't get that in a condo.) We are also looking at building a tiny home in the near future and wanted to see what that would feel like. So that was an added bonus. Even when we move to Portland, we plan to use this as a vacation spot when we need a dose of Hawaii. Thanks for a refreshing and peaceful experience.

  • I only have one less than stellar comment about staying here. The good first = the grounds, and accomodations are beautiful. We stayed in the Sunset Beach Treehouse Bungalow the first night, which is at the top of the staircase. Anton who works on the property was lovely and helped us up with our luggage as it is a long flight up, but the views from there are stunning. The second night we stayed in the cabin. Again, the space is clean and comfortable. We awoke both mornings just to watch the sunrise. The cool breezes blowing off the ocean, so there is no need for AC but there are fans in each unit if you need them. We arrived several hours early as we can in from a different side of the island and unfortunatley I could not access AIRBNB to get the instructions on where exactly to leave my bad. I tried to call John, the owner, and he wasn't available. I did reach the property manager and he instructed us to leave it just inside the door of the main house. When I opened the door I could hear voices inside, so I called out and introduced myself. I inadvertenly interrupted the beginning of their yoga session. Long story short, I did not feel welcome at the residence. He did explain that he had family coming in during our stay which is why we had to stay in 2 different accomodations and maybe why the brush-off. Take it for what it's worth. Anyway, I left our baggage in the garage (not the entry way as previously instructed) per John and came back after the proper check-in time. Overall the property is breath-taking. If you are low maintenance and don't require much then this is the place for you. Its across from Sunset Beach and very close to Ted's Bakery. Don't bother with the savory food as there are so many better options close by, but definitely try the chocolate haupia pie. Decadent!

    Joy2015-03-03T00:00:00Z
  • This treehouse bungalow was great. The view is incredible. A wonderful place to watch the sunset! You will wake up to the sounds of waves and birds and roosters. It was a very unique place to stay for my two nights on the North Shore. Just a quick walk to Sunset Beach and also close to many places by car. John provided clear arrival instructions, so I had no issues getting up to the bungalow. I am sorry I did not meet John while I was visiting, but I had a wonderful and peaceful experience staying here. Be careful on the stone steps walking up to the bungalow, especially when carrying your luggage - it's a bit of a hike! But it's worth it. Mahalo, John!

  • Laura was a great host! The house has a volleyball net the kids loved it because they got to chase around "hey hey the chicken" and we had family time playing volleyball and going running along the beach ... such a great view. Her house is close to PCC, about 4-5 miles down an area with food trucks .. pretty good Lao food and of course Giovanni's shrimp truck. The walls are pretty thin between the 2 homes but it was perfect for our family of 15 .. 8 adults and 7 kids ranging from 1-12years old.

    Francie2017-08-10T00:00:00Z
  • My family had a great stay at Laura's place. Pictures were accurate of the space and unit was very clean. I live on-island and we stayed for an extended weekend getaway with a larger group of family- it was AWESOME! Communication: Laura was very prompt in replying back to me and answering questions. She lives in the area and was able to give a showing prior to our arrival. Location: If your looking to get away from town/city life/noise/traffic, then this is the place to go. About one block away from the nearest beach access. Small town area with convenience and grocery stores within 5min drive. Good place to stay if your wanting to see all the north shore attractions. Property: There are two identical units in a newly renovated house. There's AC in all the bedrooms and the living area. House has vaulted ceilings with exposed wood beams, and a skylight above the kitchen. The lanai goes around 3/4 of the home, with a GIGANTIC yard. The yard volleyball court doesn't even take up 20% of the yard. There is fruiting trees on the property, with ripe avocados during my stay. There's enough parking for about 6 vehicles. Amenities: The rental came with bedding, towels, wifi, tv. Kitchen is stocked with cooking necessities (utensils, pots, pans, coffee maker, rice cooker). House also has full size laundry and bbq grill outside. Just had to bring food, drinks, personal toiletries. Overall: I highly recommend staying at Laura's place for anyone looking to stay in a nice, large, clean place rented out by kind people. I'll definitely stay again. Mahalo

  • This house was amazing. So accommodating. They even put up a volleyball net and brought over a light when it got dark. They have a HUGE property with up to date appliances. We were even able to hook up our phone to the tv to watch the fights. The beach is right across the street, not even a 5 minute walk. We were definitely sad to leave today. Thank you for everything.

  • This home is wonderful for a large gorup or family. It is well maintained and clean. There was 23 family members that stayed at the house and everyone was completely comfortable. Adam is a dream to work with,he was there every step of the way with us. From helping me tru the reservations to getting us extra mattresses and pillows. If you are looking for a laid back house that is about 50 minutes from the airport but 3 minute drive to the ocean this is the place for you. The inground pool and large back yard is a nice feature when the kids just want to play. Overall I would rate this place and our host Adam five star,

  • A huge house at a quiet area. It says walking distance to the beach, but the beach was not one of the nicer ones so we didn't go. We tried north-shore beaches which was 30 min drive. A small grocery shop is 5 min drive away, and Foodland is out for 10 min. Backyard pool was great and our kids had a lot of fun there. The biggest problem was the A/C. We counted 4 units that were broken and it was very hot during the day so most of us had to stay outside at the backyard table. The cleanness of the house was not good at all. We had to call Adam (the host) to remedy one of the cleaning issues, who came running right away. The best part about the house was the host, Adam. He was very kind and helpful. But the house can definitely use much better cleaning service and some useful tips and manual around the house and about the neighborhood.

    Seunghee2017-10-05T00:00:00Z
  • We are a big family with 20 people, everyone has a comfort place to sleep. The house is clean and near to supermarket and we enjoy the pool. We had our wedding held at Kualoa Ranch, this house location is great for those natura lovers. North shore is beautiful with countless small beaches amazing view. We see the sea turtles and went snorkeling ( even better than Hanauma Bay, because much less crowded).

    Cathy2017-10-08T00:00:00Z
  • Adam is a wonderful host - quick to respond, knowledgeable, and professional. You won't be disappointed! The house is awesome - we didn't leave for 3 days and thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. We are a group of 5 families with 10 adults and 8 kids under 6. Very spacious, very comfortable, highly recommend!

  • Had an excellent stay at Naupaka Breeze! Was like a home away from home, with nice touches of a hotel. The little corner store in the kitchen was fantastic!!! What a great idea. Harry was a wonderful host. Went above & beyond to make us feel welcome. It was a pleasure to stay. Thank-you Harry. Very grateful for everything and for opening your home to us.

    Jaylene2016-08-07T00:00:00Z
  • This place was amazing, and a beautiful "home base" for us on Oahu! Walkable to the beach, but even more amazing is the "point", which is even a shorter walk from the house. Sunrises and sunsets with 270-degree views... simply amazing. Ashleigh and John were wonderful hosts, and we would highly recommend this house for anyone looking for a Hawaiian getaway!

    Matt2017-04-22T00:00:00Z
  • The place and host was very accommodating for a large group. Will definitely stay there again! :)

    Bill2017-05-30T00:00:00Z
  • If I could rate this listing higher than five stars, I would! Harry, the property owner, was very welcoming. He met us personally on arrival and was immediately available to help with any needs throughout our stay. The house was immaculate and right across the street from the beach. The views directly behind the backyard were stunning! We are definitely staying here in the future. This is the best Airbnb experience I have ever had!

    Kimberly2016-10-17T00:00:00Z
  • The home was so nice, clean, and gorgeous. We are Japanese family of 13 people including three kids. Ashleigh prepared a pull out couch, so we had enough beds for everyone. We really had a great time there. We really recommend this home!!

  • You will have no regrets with this awesome place

    Gerardo2017-08-31T00:00:00Z
  • It's hard to describe just how amazing our stay was here! We split our trip in Hawaii between a hotel in Waikiki and this home. We all agreed that we should have just spent all of our time here. It was simply amazing. The pictures, though great, don't give this home the justice is deserves. The views are fantastic. To be so close to the water was great. The inside and outside of the home was immaculate. Everything Harry and team promised was delivered in full. The neighborhood was quaint and quite. It was probably the most peaceful aspect of our trip. To be in the heart of Laie with close proximity to the Polynesian Cultural Center was phenomenal. If you choose to stay anywhere else, you're making a bad decision. I already told Harry that we will definitely be back...soon hopefully!

  • We had such a good time at the beach house! The beach is right outside your back door with great views from the upstairs as well! We had lots of great meals on the back porch which is really great for entertaining. The house is also really well-stocked with everything you would need for a great beach day - towels, sand toys, even kayaks! It was a great part of our week on Oahu!

  • Nice place to stay. Was quiet!

    Paula2017-10-07T00:00:00Z
  • The place was even better than in the photos - roomy, clean, well equipped, and with beautiful view. It was raining the entire week, so we had ample opportunity to enjoy the house and its amenities. Everything was well prepared and documented, so when we had to refill a propane tank, a single text message was all that was required. Kayaks were a lot of fun, as was grilling on the patio. Overall a perfect experience!

  • Wow! After reading the reviews, my family and I had high expectations of the home. We were blown away by the amazing views and spaciousness of the home. My family of 6 had plenty of space for relaxing privately and gathering as a group with the open floor plan. The home was well equipped with everything we needed, very clean and tastefully decorated with local artwork; it truly felt like home. The location was absolutely ideal for us being a walk or short drive away from scenic hikes, snorkeling, paddle boarding. There is a reef just off the shore where you kayak to and swim with sea turtles. A munk seal swam onto shore just a few houses down from us. It was easy for us to visit the tourist hotspots of Waikiki or drive up to North Shore to catch some waves. We will definitely stay here again on our next trip to Oahu.

    Jessica2016-11-27T00:00:00Z
  • The Beach house was spectacular. Truly a wonderful way to spend a week in Hawaii, far enough away from the crowded city but close enough to make a trip to a museum or cultural event. The beach was beautiful, the house was clean and had everything a person could possibly need. We actually didn't need to contact Shawn for anything (sorry, but you're setup is just that good!). Everyone is already planning their next trips!!

    Kim2015-11-14T00:00:00Z
  • Our host made us feel very welcome! The location was wonderful - right on the ocean. The waves lulled us to sleep when we turned off the air in just the master bedroom. We closed the door and kept the AC on in the rest of the house. We spent much time outside. There was something for everyone… and more! We used kayaks, life jackets in different sizes, floating rings, beach and sand toys, places to wash off sand, places to sit in the shade or the sun, beach towels, fins and snorkels, a grill, and three different outside lanais. Inside we enjoyed a well equipped kitchen, plenty of beds and towels, the decor as a collection of art and items of interest, the book collection with the ability to trade, and the book with expectations and additional activities listed. We also liked the guest book as it is fun to see where people are from who stay there. The people in the little stores across the street were very friendly and we shopped there for last day souvenirs! We found a place to snorkel down by the Hauuka public beach just about a 1/4 mile away and some hiked a trail just up the road. We used this home as a family vacation spot so three generations could be together and yet go off and explore as desired. This worked very well! We would come back again, which is one of our highest forms of recommendation!

    Anne2014-09-01T00:00:00Z
  • We had a fantastic time at Shawn's beach house. The location was great for both the North Shore and Honolulu. Really nice swimming beach in front of the house. The house itself was clean, comfortable and well equipped.

Aloha! We are a NonProfit Wellness Center with Animal Sanctuary. Your stay with us is Tax Deductible. Staying at the center benefits the center and the animals. You will feel amazing after spending time here! We offer by appointment, guided tours of our animal sanctuary and hike to bunkers.
The unit is Ocean Front with cross breezes blowing through! Enjoy the amazing sunrise each and every morning right from your bed. There are fans in the unit. If you wish to rent a portable A/C unit we have limited availability, & recommend you reserve ahead of time. They are $50 per week or fraction of. We are ocean front and please note this is not a "luxury" beach house but a quaint comfortable, rustic beach house. If you are looking for fancy, we are not your place. Our favorite guests tend to be "kick back" type of people with a genuine love of nature and appreciate the gift of waking up to the sound of waves and experiencing both the Sun and Moon rise off their backyard.
  • JoAnn and Fliex are the most hospitable and sweet people we have met in our trip to Oahu! When my wife and I first get into the place, we were amazed by the luxurious and relaxing atmosphere. If we want a lazy moment, they have benches right in front of the sea. The jacuzzi were perfect at night. Although it's is labelled as a room, it is actually as big as a little house with a very comfortable couch and wooden tables. Also, the bed is right next to the ocean so we were able to see sunrise in our bed!!! We just couldn't thank JoAnn enough for such a wonderful place that gave me and my wife an amazing memory of Oahu! This is the only place we would consider to stay in our next trip to Hawaii! If you are looking at a nice place to live and the Heart of Animal happened to be available, book it while you still can!!!

  • Awesome place. The pictures and description accurately depict this place. The view is beautiful outside. And inside is clean and decorated nicely. Would consider staying again if available. I knew the host had multiple properties, but I didn't realize they were all next to each other. This place has one shared wall, but is still very private.

  • The location of this rental is money. It's well situated to grocery, food, beaches, and tourist sites. You get more of a local flavor staying along the Northshore. The beach view and wind are amazing and redeemed the mild feeling of roughing it without AC and with a hard-to-keep-clean beachfront property (e.g., feeling of moisture in the air, some sand on the tile floor, and some little bugs).

    Lindsay2017-07-08T00:00:00Z
  • Had a great stay! Very accommodating after some initial miscommunication, and everything worked out great. We took a short trip over to the ranch and animal habitat, got in a guided hike with some great views, and overall enjoyed first-rate hospitality!

  • JoAnn is amazing, she is amazing human being. she is some one with thankful feeling to nature this explains why she is in Hawaii. She is perfect meaning for Aloha. Coming to the room, we went for our honeymoon and the view was amazing. Perfect place to stay in Northshore. My husband fell in love with that place so much. she recieved us very well and took care of us and kept track of us. she attended to us very fast when ever we required her. She gave us upgradation as a gift, and this room was like heaven. It has everything you need with amazing view. JoAnn thanks for giving such a wonderful memories, Aloha!!

  • Falling asleep to the crashing ocean every night was such a dream. The hosts were so wonderful! My partner took a private surf lesson with Felix right in front of the house. We can't wait to return again soon. Highly recommended.

  • Home is clean and spacious.

  • The beach was secluded and it was safe for our kids age 4-8. Theres not to many places on the island that you can find a clean beach with perfect swimming conditions for kids. The out door deck had the best sunrise & sunsets. Great place for a relaxing weekend with family. We look forward to coming back again.

    Cori2017-03-20T00:00:00Z
  • Beautiful backyard and excellent views. Will not be let down by the beach access and the space of the house.

    Ian2017-02-14T00:00:00Z
  • We had the best time staying at the beach house. This house made the Hawaii vacation much more enjoyable. In walking distance to the shops and shows and most importantly away from the big city. The home owner was very accommodating and provided some info regarding things do to around the island. This house has everything you need. Just bring groceries. The ocean view is amazing! I cant wait to book this house again for next year!

    Aaron2017-08-09T00:00:00Z
  • The setting of the Laie home is perfect. We were a family of five adults, and we loved the space and were in awe of the view and direct access to the beach where we enjoyed provided water floaties and other gear. Many things were to love: very clean, very spacious, nicely appointed, comfy beds, ample fresh towels, an enormous and beautiful dining table where we played games and did a jigsaw puzzle and ate some meals, kitchen with more cookware than I have at home, many kitchen appliances, washer/dryer, and nicely appointed. We loved sitting outside to eat and drink, both toward the ocean and at the back of the house. Not a day went by when we didn't stroll down the sandy beach or enjoy the water. The ocean sunrises are beautiful. The home shares a driveway with others, but we rarely saw anyone. We had use of the detached garage which was a nice touch. Because the house is directly at the water, some outside furniture and windows naturally show wear, but keep the Aloha spirit and remember this is island living. Things get sticky from the salt air, but upon arrival everything is clean! Just realize, you are at the beach! The hosts have gone to great care to provide things many rentals would not have, and the place is nicely appointed. Check-in was superb. Kelli met us and was available if I had a question, and is great at local dining recommendations! She is an asset. We hiked, went to food trucks, hit up the local and best taco place, went to the Polynesian Center, headed up to North Shore, but mostly we couldn't wait to get back to the house to sit on the deck. We are airbnb hosts and can be fairly picky, and this place is a lovely beach gem.

  • The host canceled this reservation the day before arrival. This is an automated posting.

    Valerie2017-05-21T00:00:00Z
  • Wonderful ocean wading for toddlers. Panoramic ocean view. Great for our family of nine. Easy access to North Shore.

    Michael2017-02-01T00:00:00Z
  • I loved the house ! It is about 20 mins from Turtle Bay and banzai pipeline. Not much to do close by, more of a quiet town to relax and chill. Listening to the waves was such a soothing way to fall asleep. The beach area behind the house and view are beautiful. there was a beautiful pregnant seal that likes to hang around along the shore. Please do not approach the seal, she has been known to be angry and violent while pregnant. The house was equipped with sand castle buckets, a bunch of snorkeling gear, floaties, beach umbrellas and chairs... only downside would be the ant problem. It was understandable but be sure to get some raid from the longs drugs a couple mins down because they will swarm over anything left out. We came back the first night to an unopened box of cheese and meat covered on the table but other than that it's everything from the pics and more.

It's the most beautiful, natural, "pure hawaii" beach on the island, very remote, usually empty of people. Note, there are no private beaches on Oahu, every beach is public.
  • My family and I had a great experience at this beach house. The owner was friendly and returned emails quickly. The caretaker, Dusty was very friendly and helpful himself. The house is located on a gorgeous white sand beach! It's also very secluded. I think I seen one or two people walk past the whole time I was there! Amazing! I highly recommend this place for big parties /family traveling together.

    Hokulani2013-11-20T00:00:00Z
  • Jimmy's place was the perfect ocean experience. It's spacious and private with all the essentials and a very private public beach just steps out the back door. The beach is protected by a reef which made swimming with our 2 year old fun and safe. The caretaker, Dusty, offered tons of good local suggestions for food and entertainment.

    Paul & Christie2016-02-09T00:00:00Z
  • This house was a perfect size for 5 couples. Plenty of space and areas to get ready. We loved the fact that it was right on the beach and how private the beach felt to us. The home is older but we found that it was comfortable and it fit our needs. The AC units in the bedrooms were very nice to have as well. Great location to the Polynesian Cultural Center, BYU, a grocery store, and great food. We enjoyed our stay for sure. There were chairs to take down to the beach but no beach toys, like boogie boards or umbrella. There weren't enough beach towels for all 10 of us so we ended up going and buying a few. Dusty was very helpful and friendly and was around if we needed anything. Jimmy was hard to get a hold of but when he did he was helpful and patient with us, with all of our questions. I would recommend this house and would definitely rent it again.

    Tiffany2016-03-04T00:00:00Z
  • From the initial contact thru the end of our vacation, things went off without a hitch! Jimmy was more than fantastic and the communication and property far exceeded our expectations. The caretaker, Dusty delivered the true "Aloha Spirit" and was there to assist us with what ever we needed! Our stay at this property was incredibly memorable and we hated to leave! We have already decided that our next years vacation will be back to Hawaii and to this property!

    John2014-10-31T00:00:00Z
  • Wonderful place to stay! The house was very accommodating and easily held all eight (adults) of us no problem. The bedroom layout wasn't exactly as it was shown via photos but it all worked out well. Huge backyard that was perfect for our small garden wedding. Large kitchen was perfect for setting up and with the large dining/entertainment area the younger kids always had a place to hang out. The surf was pretty rough the days we were there so unfortunately I can't say too much about the beach. The chicken and roosters were an interesting touch, only woke up one day at 4am due to the rooster crowing. All and all a wonderful place to get married! Highly recommend.

    Liza2016-05-18T00:00:00Z
  • First of all, access to the beach is fantastic. Very spcious place. We could sleep very comfortably because every room has air condtioner and a ceiling fan. We could enjoy BBQ even at late time. Because a large grill installed in a separate structure with lightings. Facilities are a bit old, however well maintained. Communication was good and fast. We really enjoyed staying at Jimmy's place. Thanks

    Ho Zoon2017-08-02T00:00:00Z
  • Fantastic place. Huge, comfortable house right next to the beach. Couldn't have asked for a better place to stay.

    Evan2015-05-04T00:00:00Z
  • We were greeted by Dusty, the property caretaker. He was so helpful and friendly. The house was perfect for us, we had a family of 10 and each person had enough space and a comfy place to sleep. The casual feel of the house was perfect for us. Tile floors, large open space in the living area and a nearly private beach! What more could anyone want in Hawaii? We enjoyed the fruit stand just across the street and other very convenient nearby conveniences. The house was easy to drive past for the first couple of days, as it's behind a brick wall and the driveway is somewhat hidden. The chickens running everywhere were an entertaining flock to watch and we miss them now that we're back home. We bought food to throw to them while we were there. This is not a place for someone who needs every modern convenience, but it is perfect for relaxing at the beach! Highly recommend!

  • Daniela's place is marvelous!! Its clean and comfortable and absolutely adorable. The private beach is gorgeous and so convenient. I'd recommend staying here!

    Aubryn2017-03-11T00:00:00Z
  • Daniela is a great host. She helped us out with information and her place is very clean, with an excellent location for local attractions. Bus stop is very close along with cultural center, BYU Hawaii, and Mormon Temple. Recommend this place for a relaxing and convenient trip.

    Edward2017-06-08T00:00:00Z
  • Daniela is the perfect hostess. The house is not new but bedroom and bathroom were super clean with plenty of privacy. There was a lot of space in both rooms, and the bed was quite comfortable. She and her neighbor share oceanfront property where you can access a fabulous beach from 8:30 to 6:30 everyday. We saw all sorts of fish when swimming and snorkeling. Our rental car broke while we were there and Daniela helped us fix it! The location is right across the street from the Polynesian Cultural Center and it was so nice to be able to walk there and then back after the show that evening. You access your room from the back of the house, up the steps, and take a left in the kitchen. I would recommend to anyone to stay with her.

    Janet2017-06-11T00:00:00Z
  • The ad is very accurate. It's a small-ish room at the back of the house. Bed's comfortable, private bathroom. PCC is literally across the street. Beautiful beach access through the red gate to the side of the house (only when the gate's open, no early morning or late night swims). Daniela was lovely. A little pricey for what you're getting, but so is most everything else on Oahu.

    Eric2017-02-16T00:00:00Z
  • The wording on the listing was a little confusing private room to me sounds more like a separate dwelling. The room is in thier house so it is perfect for college kids or a family. I was on my anniversary and it was not ideal for us. The host was very friendly and I would totally stay there in other situations just not on a anniversary.

    Doree2017-10-23T00:00:00Z
  • Our stay with Daniela was just perfect. Her place is well located in the North Shore, in front of the Polynesian Center and close to great beaches, restaurants and much more. You still need a car, but that is true for anything in the North Shore. The room pics are accurate and the beach access is just amazing. It's like having your private beach! We had a great time!

    Kimi2017-01-16T00:00:00Z
  • We enjoyed staying with Daniela. She was very kind and accommodating. The beach was a very short walking distance and was incredibly beautiful. Certainly worth the stay!! Great location in Lake. Across the street from Polynesian Center and many beautiful view points and beaches in the area. I would certainly stay here again. Mahalo.

Come enjoy our beach house with great ocean and mountain views. We are minutes from the Polynesian Cultural Center, Turtle Bay, Sunset Beach, Waimea Bay, North Shore art and culture, parks, restaurants and food trucks. You’ll love our place because of the location and the views. Our place is good for couples and business travelers.
Come enjoy the beautiful beach home that is steps from the water. The private downstairs unit has beautiful views from the kitchen, living room and bedroom. Enjoy the amazing kitchen and being able to cooking on the Viking stove top. Sit in leather couches and take in breathtaking views of the ocean and watch TV on a 60 inch big screen. Watch your favorite movies with Netflix, and Amazon prime. Connect your devices to the fast wifi internet. Relax in the bedroom and look out the sliding glass door and enjoy the sound of the waves and views of the ocean.
Hauula is the best kept secret on the island . You have some of the most beautiful views and cute local places to eat and shop at. It is quiet place of the island yet you have shopping and food less than 5 minutes away. You are 10-15 minutes from the north shore beaches.
  • This is my second time staying at this house - first time in the larger downstairs unit which was divine!! Stacy and Mike were super accommodating - even bringing us a blender and extra pillows (on top of the use of boogie boards, kayaks, snirkel gear. Snorkeling right out our back door each morning was memorable - sooo many puffers, eels, wrasses, etc.. in clear water less than 3' deep and a lovely flat beach to end snorkeling and do some sunbathing. This place is close to amazing food trucks (aloha shrimp and hi-BBQ our favorites), pipeline and 4 amazing beaches for snorkeling!! I will be here again in October and wouldn't stay anywhere else now!

    Jonna2017-06-13T00:00:00Z
  • The place was great! It wasn't too busy in the area, but close enough to any touristy place you would want to visit on Oahu. It is just a few minutes drive to the Polynesian Culture Center. The ocean is just a few steps away from the bedroom. Awesome view!

  • Stacie and Mike's communication was perfect right from the start! They answered all my questions and were an amazing hosts! Their place is exactly what my spouse and I were looking for - ocean front view that will take your breathe away as soon as you step outside, and the best part it was quiet! My spouse and I do not get to spend a lot of time together, so we wanted something away from the tourist and crowed hot spots. Stacie and Mike's place was perfect spot for that reason. Plus we saved a ton of money using the kitchen to cook our meals. It is also close to the Polynesian Cultural Center and a lot of other incredible eating spots if you choose not to stay in a cook. Their place is so clean, quiet, and very welcoming, which makes it better than staying at a crowded and loud hotel. If you're looking for a home away from home with an incredible view this is your place! I know the next time my spouse and I are in Oahu, we will be requesting to stay here again! Thank you again Stacie and Mike!!

    Rebecca2017-09-27T00:00:00Z
  • We had a great stay at this home. The proximity to the ocean was fantastic we had awesome sunrises right through the living room windows (and kitchen and bedroom). The location was close enough to stores and sites. We only wish we had been able to explore more of them. Thanks Stacie and Mike!

    Jim2017-06-29T00:00:00Z
  • We enjoyed our stay here. We didn't want to be in a hotel and it was a great location for us. Quiet and loved hearing the ocean noises. Was nice to have the kitchen to make some of our own meals. Stacie responded back quickly to any of our questions. Over all a great place.

  • All I can say is "wow!" Janice and Fraser's place was even better than we imagined (and our expectations were pretty high after looking at the profile). Janice and Fraser were incredibly welcoming and made us feel comfortable the whole time we were there. The place itself is amazing! We loved the open air feel and the laid back vibe. Everything was clean and there were lots of great amenities. We made dinner there one night, using the grill and kitchen and then eating on the deck overlooking the ocean - everything worked out great! This will definitely be the first place we look up the next time we head to Oahu!

  • J.’s place was by far the most beautiful from all I’ve been to, and her husband gave us a much needed massage. Very welcoming couple, and perfect location on the beach. It doesn’t get much better than this.

  • My husband and I wanted some private and relaxing time alone by the beach, and that's exctally was we got, with the added bonus of a beautiful location. We were steps away from a wonderful private beach and there was a small deck where we had morning coffee. Which we made along with some dinners in our outdoor kitchen. They had a tv set up in our private outdoor living room which had Netflix. It was really fantastic! I am only sad I didn't book it for longer. Next Hawai'i visit I am going to make sure I do. I could easily spend a week or longer there.

    Nora2015-04-22T00:00:00Z
  • This place was so fun to stay at. Exactly what we were hoping for. It's in a great location (right on a beautiful beach with nice sand) and close to yummy places to eat. The hosts were very kind and respectful. I would highly recommend this place to family and friends who are looking for a true tropical living experience. My favorite part was the outdoor showers...the best!!

    Lindsay Decker2017-10-06T00:00:00Z
  • Great place right on the beach! Just watch out for bugs (mosquitos and lizards)! Loved the outdoor shower and deck to watch the sunsets.

  • This was such a great place to stay for our 5 night stay on Oahu. Perfectly located right on the beach with many other gorgeous beaches close by, as well as loads of places to eat and relax. The feel of the accommodation was amazing - loved having an outdoor shower and waking up with such light and air set up each of our days perfectly. Our hosts were warm and welcoming and we couldn't have asked for more. We had the best time and I'd recommend this accomodation to anyone!!!

  • This is just the perfect authentic place! If you like sterile hotel rooms and can't stand the thought of a gecko in your bathroom, don't stay here. But if you want the closest thing to living outdoors, in the perfect Hawaiian weather, this is your nirvana. (The bedroom is indoors and lockable) The back yard is right on the beach! Very close to the grocery store and Polynesian center. And a great location for exploring the North Shore! One of the best airbnbs we have ever stayed in.

Our cool and comfortable one bedroom apartment newly built! It comfortably fits four and is located on a quiet street leading to a gorgeous beach. Enjoy a hot outdoor double shower, boards, chairs, snorkel gear, kayaks and more for your use!
We are located on a private, quiet street just steps from a gorgeous fairly isolated beach that is great for snorkeling, swimming, walking and enjoying. The apartment is on the ground level and is brand new, comfortable, with all updated amenities. Great for families with kids, lots of toys, high chair included.
Our neighborhood is one of the few streets that are quiet and not crowded around this area. Everyone is friendly and it is in walking distance to a shopping center with a grocery store, drug store, dominos, doctors, post office and great local restaurants.
  • We loved staying at Becky's place. We loved being so close to the beach! I loved having a kitchen to cook in and to keep our snacks for the beach cold. It was nice to have Becky and Doug available to ask where to surf, eat and play. They made our vacation perfect!

    debra2017-04-04T00:00:00Z
  • Becky and Doug's place is in a great location, just steps away from a beautiful and not overcrowded beach. We really appreciated the beach chairs they provided. The apartment looks newly remodeled and is top notch... The kitchen and bathroom especially are gorgeous. We'd stay here again!

  • Becky was a very nice Host and the location is excelent. I loved the kitchen and all what is in there. I could prepare some delicious meals for us and I loved this possibility very much. Furthermore we could have several watersport gears for free which we very much appreciated. Thanks a lot again.

  • This was our family's first experience vacationing in Hawaii as well as our first experience with Airbnb. With that being said, everything was great! Becky was very accommodating with our hectic and crazy travel timeline and the apartment was perfect upon arrival. It was very clean, modern and beautiful. We traveled as a family and everything was provided in terms of child items and baby gear- crib for baby, floor mats for toddlers, counter-high chair for baby, and I even saw extras in the closet like a bumbo seat for infants. The location was superb! We got a great feel for island living and really enjoyed all the cuisine recommended by the host. Too many yummy food trucks to list! We visited several beaches but the best part was the host's distance to the water. It was great to walk to the water for a quick dip before bed. The beach is quiet, private and a nice relaxing area for couples and families alike. We hardly ever heard the host family above us- maybe faint footsteps here and there but it was never an issue, definitely not bothersome or loud even. Thank you Becky for helping us create such a sweet and memorable first big vacation for our family!

  • This was a beautiful setting for our last evening in Hawaii! Becky's apartment is three houses from the most beautiful beach! We took gorgeous evening photographs of my daughter/bride and her groom in the golden light right before sunset on the beach. :) The apartment is beautiful through and through, and extremely comfortably furnished. The futon mattress for my friend was good for sleeping when placed on the cushy carpet of the living room. The shower was fabulous! Becky was lightning fast to respond when we had questions or needed something. We'd definitely stay here again when on island. Thank you, Becky!

    Donna2015-08-19T00:00:00Z
  • This place was definitely a treasure. The apartment looked brand new! The couches and mattress were extremely comfortable. The kitchen was equipped with everything we needed to make all sorts of meals. The shower was also awesome with the rainfall shower head. Everything we needed, including shampoo and laundry detergent, was provided. The attention to detail given into taking care of this place was outstanding! I would definitely recommend this place to any family or friends :)

    Denise2016-04-22T00:00:00Z
  • It was so nice to walk in to this place! A spacious one bedroom with everything. The outside shower with hot water was a welcomed amenity especially after the beach. The apartment had pretty much everything we needed & a beautiful view of an avocado tree from the kitchen. We love our shoe-less walk every morning to the beach down a private, short & quiet road with friendly neighbors greeting you. The beach is just great; next to a beach park and perfect for little kids. Walk the beach with your morning coffee & say hello to friendly seals...can't beat that. If you have kids, this is the perfect place with all sorts of toys & swim gear available along with beach chairs, canoe/kayak, surfboards & much more. Becky & Doug, although we only met them towards the end of our stay, were super friendly & welcoming.

There are two parking spots right out front. There is a large yard and a beach right out your door. I provide boogie boards, beach chairs, towels and sand toys along with an outdoor shower with warm water for washing off after the beach.
  • Had a wonderful time. The location was great, the beach was wonderful, sandy, clear water and really great for body boarding. The home was nicely decorated, comfortable, and roomy enough for 5 adults and 5 children. Gina the host was warm, friendly and responsive.

    Lynne2017-09-05T00:00:00Z
  • We really enjoy our stay at Gina's home. The house is big enough to accommodate 2 families of four comfortably and with great amenities. The location is literally a few steps to the beach. It is also located near the a grocery store and the Polynesian Cultural Center. The best part of the our stay is Gina. She is a great host. She is friendly, knowledgeable on local tips and addressed our concern immediately.

    Chris2017-07-25T00:00:00Z
  • This staycation was a last minute planning which was an advantage because Gina's home was just listed. Call it great timing!!! Every detail of how the home was promoted and pictures were ON POINT!!! The house was immaculately clean and decorated!!! It was literally on the beach with a shower with hot water right on the lanai. Gina also accommodated us with beach chairs and extra beach towels. I look forward to enjoy this beautiful beach house again!!!

    Leilani2017-07-18T00:00:00Z
  • We made the mistake of not reading the listing thoroughly. It's a shared space in that there are people on the second story of the house. We didn't realize this until we looked out our backdoor and saw three men/boys sitting in our backyard, right by the house. This scared the crap out of my wife! Haha. The other issue was that it was very noisy. The tenants above us were stomping and it went on for hours. Either the sound-proofing isn't good or they were loud. Either way, the noise lasted throughout the trip and was unpleasant for my wife and I. On the bright side, the owner was a very sweet and helpful lady. Her awesomeness is why we went with three stars. With all that said, if your prepared for other guests in the yard, shared parking and noise, it's a great property. Lots of space, awesome kitchen, newly remodeled and so close to the beach! Being able to walk out and swim whenever we wanted was a major plus!

    Jack2017-09-14T00:00:00Z
  • We had a wonderful stay at Gina place. We traveled with our 3 kids and my little brother. The location is ideal. When it says 30 steps from the beach, it's actually 20!!! And the beach is great. The house was great and spacious. I can only say good things about Gina, she was very warm, welcoming and always available. We would do it again!

Located off the beaten path on East Oahu, and tucked snugly between the Ko'olau mountains and the sleepy shores of Punalu'u, this boutique style home offers a charming three bedroom cottage, where you and yours can relax in style and comfort.
Sits on one acre of grassy land in the country and is surrounded with tropical beauty. Close to beach and mountains.
Rural, nature, safe, convenient, quaint, quiet, beauty, mountains, hiking nearby, beach combing down the lane and across the road… five houses away. A stream with large trees create a canopy on the sand paved lane called Hulahula Place, which is lined with a few owner occupied cottages.
  • The cottage was clean and comfortable. Sara and Beau were great hosts, would definitely return!

    Jacqueline2017-04-17T00:00:00Z
  • We enjoyed our stay at the cottage. It was located close to Kailua Ranch which was very handy for early morning tours. The beach chairs they provided were a nice touch for our day watching the surf. You have to drive to restaurants, but that adds to the fun.

    Angie2017-05-12T00:00:00Z
  • I don't really know what else I can add to all the rave reviews here. They are spot on. This is one heck of a place to stay and relax. Total serenity. Like others have mentioned, the outdoors shower is a gem. Reminds me of my childhood days spent at the cottage. Fantastic place, fantastic location and fantastic hosts (!!!).

    Vladimir2017-03-21T00:00:00Z
  • This cottage is simply wonderful. The exterior photos show it exactly as real life presents, while the interior shots in fact don't do the inside of the house justice. One of the best Airbnb houses I've ever stayed at.

    Lee2015-07-08T00:00:00Z
  • Sara’s house was the first time we’ve stayed outside Waikiki on Oahu and I’m so glad we finally did! As with everything on Oahu, you’re never far from what you need, but just secluded enough here to escape the city feel a lot of the island can have. SETTING - Set at the end of a quiet lane off the main road with beautiful views of the Ko’olau mountain range from the huge backyard. Nice deck for sitting and admiring the tropical beauty of the area. HOUSE - Beautifully maintained house, great kitchen, very comfortable beds. Super fast wi-fi. Only caveat is that the only shower is outside (there’s a bath inside), and you have to go through one of two bedrooms to access the deck and shower. Seemed a little strange at first, but was actually a nice unique experience. HOST - Sara was very responsive to any questions we had before we arrived. Dolly was there to welcome us, show us the house and let us know about where to shop/eat/visit during our stay. Super friendly! LOCATION - Less than an hour from Honolulu (depending on traffic of course, which on Oahu can be surprisingly terrible). There is a grocery store and a Longs Drugs just 5-minutes drive up the road. A number of good and very casual restaurants in the area as well. Be warned, everything in La’ie is closed on Sundays. Beaches galore all along this stretch of the island! This would be a perfect location for a family or small group who don’t need all the amenities of a hotel or resort and want to experience Oahu as more of a local!

    james2017-02-20T00:00:00Z
  • Our favorite stop on Oahu! We felt like we were living the rural Hawaii life. Cottage was truly adorable, quiet and very comfortable and clean. Communication from Sara, the owner, and Beau, the caretaker was timely and helpful. Beautiful beaches nearby. Groceries and restaurants just down the road. You won't regret staying here.

    Lacey2017-07-11T00:00:00Z
  • Our stay at this cottage was absolutely wonderful. The house and yard were perfect. The beach was at the end of the driveway. We are used to staying in hotels but after this trip we will always stay at AIRBNB locations . It was just incredible. Out host was extremely friendly and welcoming. I will go back!!!!

This newly remodeled home is located on Laie's popular Point, a beautiful lookout, and just a 5 minute walk from the beach. Laie's Shopping Center is across the street for all your necessities during your relaxing stay in Hawaii. You are about a 10 minute drive from North Shore's sandy beaches.
Within minutes you arrive at the famous Polynesian Cultural Center, a must go-to while on the North Shore; that is right after a delicious breakfast at Hukilau Cafe, again just minutes from home. Make sure to grab a bite to eat at 7 Brothers at the Grill and Guadalajara Mexica Food Truck, as well as hike the beautiful Waimea Falls. Our home is clean, comfortable, and spacious. It's balcony oversees Laie's beauty. This prime location will allow you to feel the spirit of Aloha and marvel at the lush scenery around you. This location is a mixture of local residents, students and vacationers. Local food market, and restaurants are in walking distance and a great view of the mountains, ocean and city center just out from the deck. Please me mindful of neighbors and students living close by.
  • Great spot! Neat and clean. Joe and Raquel's response time was quick and accurate! Great place to stay on the North Shore!

  • I'm torn. I want to give an amazing review. My ethics tell me I have to because it was the best AirBnb we've ever stayed in! The reason I'm hesitating is because we are worried it will be booked when we want to come back. The owners were amazing and easy to work with. The place was clean and new, and air conditioned! Worth every dime we paid!

    Mindy2017-10-01T00:00:00Z
  • Place was so clean and beautiful. Everything is new. The lanai was the best because the place is set atop a hill overlooking the town and sunset, and was huge. AC units were in every room and with remote control. there was plenty parking, too. Great place!!

  • Such an amazing place to stay, thank you Nikki. The house is really nice, and it's on the best part of the island away from the city. Great local takeaways, supermarket, etc. There was no washing machine, but a laundromat down the road.

  • Monique was a great host, and the home was beautiful. My family and I had a staycation that we will never forget, and wouldn't be able to say that without such a family-friendly environment. Monique was helpful without being intrusive. Having never used AirBnB, we were relieved that she was available , without crowding us at all. We will definitely be back!

  • While the the owners live beneath the rental, they were very quiet, responsive and considerate. The house is in a neighborhood, but the huge covered porch felt extremely safe and private overlooking a jungle-like yard. Very pleasant.

    David2017-02-18T00:00:00Z
  • Great house near all the north activities such as polynesian cultural center (this is a must), a 24hrs 7 eleven, great beaches almost private, temples... 100% recommended

    Javier2017-05-06T00:00:00Z
  • We've stayed over Christmas/New Year in four different Airbnb's across Oahu, Big Island and Kauai. This property had the nicest design - exactly like in the photos. Really thought through and perfect for a family stay. Also communication & check-in was super easy. And from the Airbnb - a few minutes to restaurants, super market, etc. Or a bit more to various beaches (15-30 minutes - pending on where you go). Anything North Shore is famous for. So if you are into surfing, this is a very good option stay with a big family. Mahalo

  • Lovely place, just as depicted in the photos. Did not have any issues with the chickens that I had read others complain about in their reviews. The first impression of the neighborhood was not great, but we had absolutely no problems at all. It was great to have the beach chairs to take with us during our day trips --a very nice touch. Conveniently located close to the Polynesian Cultural Center for a traditional luau and Papa Ole's for an amazing breakfast!

    Modern Hawaii Beach Home
    58 reviews
Our private one bedroom suite connected to our main home is the perfect getaway spot to experience the real beauty of Oahu. Enjoy your own private outdoor bathroom and deck. Located on the North East Shore, escape the noise of Honolulu and enjoy the quiet, empty and serene beaches and hikes nearby, 45 min. from the airport. A great place to retreat into the countryside, relax and see "real" Hawaii. We like to grow our own food with our family of three and live as self sustainable as possible.
Our space is perfect for the adventurous one's who like to escape the crowds. We are located in the country side of the island, where the mountains are tall, powerful, and green, and the beaches are quiet and empty. Enjoy the freedom of walking only footsteps to a beautiful white sandy beach, where you will likely be the only ones there. Perfect for everyday swimming and snorkeling. For the surfers, there are outer reefs that can get very good with the right swell and conditions only walking distance away. Make sure to ask Ryan where the best surf is! Enjoy resting on our brand new Sealy Posturepedic California King Bed. With comfy cotton sheets, you will rest easy and hard. With two ceiling fans, insulation, and an amazing trade wind cross breeze, you will stay cool and comfortable anytime of day. It can be hotter and humid during our tsunami season but there are beautiful beaches and streams to cool off in. Step out the back door to your large deck, where you will find a breathtaking view of the riverfront property. Relax in a hammock, enjoy lunch, or BBQ dinner on the New Weber Gas Grill. We have a little outdoor kitchen nook, you will be easily able to prepare your own meals. We provide: -Plates and utensils -Mini fridge with freezer -Coffee maker -Blender -Hot plate -Pots, pans, kitchen utensils -Outdoor sink -Beach chairs -Snorkels -Beach towels -Weber barbecue -Brita water filter to help reduce use of plastic bottles. Drinking water on our island is actually pretty awesome and fluoride free. -We provide extra blankets and under bed storage. We do not provide extra amenities but there is a Longs Drug Store and Tamuras Market nearby. Enjoy bathing in our outdoor bathroom, that has plenty of privacy and space. Outdoor bathroom includes: -Toilet -Wide shower head -Sink and mirror -Clean bath towels and wash cloths Our home is on an estuary and originally used as a Hawaiian fishing pond. Being on the water is so peaceful, whether looking down at the fish or just watching the water from the deck or room. Its not a place for swimming but thats why we love having the ocean so close to our home for a quick dip or some fun beach time. We have an edible landscape in the front and back of the house. We do live in the country and in the country there are bugs. If you are faint to bugs or do not like bugs this is not the place for you. We like our guests to enjoy the space and want to make sure they love our space. Especially since the shower is outdoors. There are also chickens and animals nearby since we do live in the country. I am used to the chicken noise but some guests are also but some guests are not.
Our quiet little neighborhood is perfect for us locals and tourists alike. With the freedom to walk to the beach, surf, paddle board, or kayak right out front, life couldn't be much better. Most other beach towns like Kailua and Sunset are very busy with crowds and tour busses, our zone is perfect in the way that you usually have the place to yourself. Attractions nearby are: The Polynesian Cultural Center (7 minutes away) Kahana Bay State Park and Fish Ponds (7 min) Laie Point ( 10 minutes away) Turtle Bay ( 15 minutes away) Pipeline, Sunset Beach (25 minutes away) Haleiwa ( 30-40 minutes away) Kualoa Ranch (15 minutes away) China Man's Hat (15 minutes away) The Shrimp Farms and Shrimp Trucks (10 min) Many hikes right nearby... Ask Ryan or Beccy Zipline tours (10 min) The Beach (30 seconds walking :) Surfing and Stand Up Paddling with us! Ask us about local and organic farms nearby!! There are great opportunities for volunteer days and the farms are a great place to buy great affordable produce. Most of all enjoy Peace and Tranquility.
  • Beccy and Ryan were incredible hosts — extremely friendly, knowledgable, accommodating and respectful of your privacy. Their space is clean, convenient and truly ideal for anyone looking to explore the North Shore and surrounding areas of Oahu. Hope to be back soon!

  • The place was as described. It was nice to step out on the deck in the mornings and feed the fish, then head out for the day. The shower was great after a long day, and the bed was very comfortable. We did laundry there twice in a week so that was very nice. Their daughter was adorable and very friendly. We did a full day adventure through their company and that was also very fun! Overall- pleased with our stay and would do it again!

    Heather2016-07-10T00:00:00Z
  • We loved staying on the north shore with Beccy and her family near by. They were very friendly, and easy to talk to when we saw them on occasion. They were very accommodating and allowed us to have a late check in, and check out. Which worked great for our flight schedule. They were so sweet to supply us with beer in the mini fridge as a welcome gift. We mainly wanted to stay at this property because of the hammock and the ability to relax on the deck and spend time with each other. We really utilized the mini fridge and outdoor cooking. We made eggs and toast for breakfast and made sandwiches for lunch, We grilled a ton before we got there so opted to go for dinner when we're on oahu. But it was everything you needed. We got used to the outdoor bathroom. They put a ton of work into this space, and you can tell. We really enjoyed ending our honeymoon, in this sweet home.

    Starr2015-08-27T00:00:00Z
  • Beccy And Ryan were great hosts. The room was clean and the bathroom was awesome. The place is a short walk from the beach and the neighborhood is pretty quite. Would definitely recommend this place. We had a great time in the area.

    Marco2015-09-14T00:00:00Z
  • The room was well represented in the pictures as far as what the room looks like. We experienced some very warm moist weather while we were there on the island and the room was VERY hot. I would stay there again if a swamp cooler was installed in the room. In trying to get air flow through the room, we opened the doors, which ended up causing lots of mosquito bites. So, then we were hot and itchy while trying to sleep. :/ Otherwise, the hosts were welcoming and had lots of extra toiletries in the room (in case we forgot anything) as well as beach towels for our use. A little mix up with our payment through Airbnb caused some frustration and a little hostility from the host, but in the end she made it right.

    Lanee'2016-08-08T00:00:00Z
  • Beccy's place was a perfect stop for us to be close to the North shore area yet still away from all the tourists. The view of view of the stars was great on their porch at night! I would definitely recommend this place to another couple!

    Lindsay2017-04-26T00:00:00Z
  • We enjoyed our time at the Waterfront Retreat very much. Ryan and Beccy were great hosts.

    Linda2016-02-04T00:00:00Z
  • If you want to be away from the touristy areas and get a bit more disconnected, then this is the place to be. For us, it was a lovely getaway for our honeymoon, because we live in busy central London. Beccy provided very good instructions on how to find their accommodation, because we were arriving late and it is tucked away from the main road. With (SENSITIVE CONTENTS HIDDEN) Maps and her instructions we were able to locate it in the dark with no hassle. To manage expectations you certainly need a car to get to the Airbnb and to go to other locations. We hired a convertible, so enjoyed the drives with the top down. Not only driving instructions, Beccy was good to let us know the Eddie Aikau competition was given the green light the next day and encouraged us to see it (look it up on (SENSITIVE CONTENTS HIDDEN)). No doubt we would have missed this blue moon event if she had not informed us, which was a great introduction to Hawaii. We also signed up to Beccy's Full Day Adventure which included a ridge walk, stand up paddle boarding and snorkelling. Amazing way to explore parts of the island. The accommodation itself is a lovely space. I can honestly say the bed was very comfortable, because I was in a minor injury in San Francisco the week before. The sunrise can be enjoyed on the outside deck, so we often had breakfast on the patio. We bought breakfast bits from Foodland, which was not far and stored everything in the mini fridge provided in the room. You have to walk out on the deck to the door next door to the bedroom to access the toilet and shower, which is very clean and comfortable. A great space to unwind from a big day outdoors. Beccy and Ryan's family home is attached to the Airbnb, so to respect their home and their neighbours, we kept the noise to a minimum. They have lovely cats running around, but they are trained not to go inside your space. This was important to us, because we both have an allergy to cats. For those who have the same allergy issues, please be assured that we never had a problem and did not need to take anti-histamines. I would highly recommend this place and know you will not regret it.

This new 2 (now 3) bedroom, 2 bath home is close to Hukilau Beach, the Polynesian Cultural Center, the LDS Temple and BYU-H. You’ll love it because of the proximity to the beach. This is a brand new fully renovated home. It is very comfortable, clean and relaxing with air conditioning in the living room and 3rd bedroom and has brand new comfortable beds. The home is very close to Hukilau beach, about a 3 minute walk. The location, street and neighbors are great!
  • We completely fell in love with this house and Hawaii of course. This house does not leave you in want of anything. Kelly graciously provides everything you need to enjoy your vacation from beach towels, beach chairs, coolers, snorkeling gear, to laundry detergent. There’s a beautiful beach, only a three minute walk away. Keep in mind this house is an hour drive to Honolulu. However it is a beautiful drive. We loved being away from loads of tourist and the hustle and bustle of city live. North shore is a little under 30 minutes. There is great food around Kelly’s house. We had our best meals on this side of the island. We would differently stay here again if we return to O’ahu.

    Patricia2017-10-25T00:00:00Z
  • This home is brand spanking new and super duper clean. We LOVED it! The owners have done it all top notch and have great taste. It is unreal. It is closer to the beach than we expected and it's an awesome beach! We loved the country location which is close to the Polynesian Cultural Center (don't miss that), and also close to all the that the north shore offers. Of course it is easy to drive back to the sights in Honolulu if you like. Nice towels, beach chairs, boogie boards and snorkel gear is all included. So many great places to eat close by! This is the location we prefer and this is the house to stay in! We will stay here again if at all possible and give it five stars all the way. It is a dream! Plus, Kelly was wonderful to work with, allowing us a late check-out upon request. With a return flight as a red-eye, this was ideal! Thank you for a great time!

  • Kelly is an awesome host, she provides timely responses and was able to answer all our questions. We had a minor issue with the smoke detectors in the home, but she was more than willing to resolve the issue quickly. She stopped by the home to make sure our stay was going well. The neighborhood is amazing, very short walk to a nice, quiet beach, the Polynesian Cultural Center, and shopping. There is also a great café on the way to the beach that you must try (Hukilau Café). Overall this home was very comfortable and very nice. Nice, upgraded amenities and beautiful décor, having AC in the home was also a plus. We would definitely choose this home in this location again. You won't be disappointed, it's nice to be away from the busy, crowded city and to be able to relax in the quiet countryside.

  • Honestly, I am not one to write reviews but from the second we open the door everyone was impressed. The location is perfect, the space couldn't have been utilized any better, and the pictures don't even do a justice to show how cute it is. I was with a group of 9 other people and we all had enough space. The two bathrooms are killer. The added bonus was all the pots, pans, utensils, beach towels, bath towels, snorkel gear, boogeyboards, and so much more that was already at the house. I will rent this home next time we come. Truly amazing!

  • Great stay. Beautiful home on the north coast, super short walk to the beach. Kelly offered many extra amenities, like beach chairs, plenty of beach towels, snorkle gear, etc. It was perfect for our low key, quiet vacation.

    Ruth2016-08-16T00:00:00Z
  • Kelly was very prompt to respond to our initial reservation request. The pictures were very accurate but don't describe how great this place is. During our stay we found out no new building is allowed in the area but this is a new place because it is considered a remodel I guess but residents told us it is new other than probably the foundation which allows it to be deemed a remodel. (Kelly would need to confirm or deny this). Because of this I think this place is a hidden gem for the area. Everything was very nice and completely new. Clean is an understatement. Everything was very bright, clean, and organized in the home. Great to have in-property washing machine and dryer as well. Several beach towels are provided along with two masks and snorkels and two boogie boards. We had a blast using these things at the beach just a couple minutes walk away from Hukelau Beach. After a quiet night sleep we could walk around the corner to a neighborhood breakfast/lunch cafe and eat with some locals. Speaking of locals, several big time football players came out of Kuhuku High School's football team roughly 7-10 minutes away. Football is big here. Go catch a Friday night game and you won't be disappointed. Long's and Foodtown Grocery Stores are close by to stock up when needed. Grab a shave ice at Angels right next to Food Town for a nice treat to cool off. The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints Hawaiian Temple is 5 minutes walking distance away and so is BYU Hawaii and The Polynesian Cultural Center is about a 3 minute drive away. You're close enough to the North Shore to get to those sites easily and quickly. Grab a Chocolate Haupia Pie at Ted's Bakery when you go by the North Shore or stop in a grab a great lunch at the food truck cafe (several trucks in one spot) across from Shark's Cove. Visit the botanical garden and see the Waimea Water Fall ($16 per person - little pricy for what it is but very pretty). Wear your suit and swim in the pool of the falls. So many hikes close by you need to stay for months to do just a fraction of them. When driving to the North Shore look off the side of the road (ocean side) near Shark's Cove and you may see several people stopping their cars to get out and see a Sea Turtle sun bathing - we saw two in one day. Basically the property is AWESOME and close to so much. When you stay here you'll leave happy no matter what your interests are. Go out and enjoy what the area has to offer then come home and crash in a beautiful home...and repeat as many times as you can! Loved it! Can't go wrong with this place.

  • Great home with all of the comforts needed to enjoy a vacation in a beautiful setting. We love the home and how spacious and pleasant the rooms and bathrooms are. Very luxurious and well maintained. Checkin was easy and simple. Ashley the property manager was wonderful to work with. I highly recommend this property.

  • It was an awesome place for my family. I will definitely recommend for people I know for sure

    Hyungmin2017-08-21T00:00:00Z
  • This house was amazing! Perfect for our huge family. Super close to all the activities we wanted to do! I highly recommend goat island and hitting up the North shore, both are super close. Ashley, the property manager was excellent, she was quick to answer any questions we had and she even lent me her stand mixer. If we end up doing Oahu again next year, I would definitely want to book here again.

  • Nice place. But it's far from Waikiki.

    Janelle2017-07-30T00:00:00Z
  • We had our family of 12 stay here for 1 week, and we loved it! It felt spacious, clean, and inviting. The location was convenient for the North Shore. I had a couple of questions when I was there, and they were prompt at responding. I would definitely stay here again!

    Renee2017-07-23T00:00:00Z
  • Very spacious. Had five adults, three kids, and an infant and there was plenty of room for everyone. Could easily fit many more people there. All bedrooms are upstairs (not an issue for us). Big bathrooms - great one on main floor for getting sand off without going to bedrooms upstairs. Not much yard, just a patch of grass out front. We had three cars and there was just enough room. Any more and you'd have to shuffle a bit or park out on the street. Fun beaches nearby. Walking distance beach is a bit rocky, but nice sandy beaches only minutes away. Very close to PCC, Turtle Bay, and North Shore. Ashley was great to work with and even locked the door for us when we left in a hurry one day. Would definitely stay here again.

    Kevin2017-10-07T00:00:00Z
  • We had a fantastic time staying at your place! This house is perfect for large groups which we had! We just loved the layout of the house! We are looking forward to planning our next trip to Hawaii! It is about an hour from Honolulu/ Wakiki however that's due to the speed limit and the traffic. They had extra beach towels, beach chairs, and beach accessories avalible! What a great experience we had for our first trip to Hawaii!

    Jenifer2017-06-21T00:00:00Z
  • We had a great time with our family at this house. It was large and spacious, with a lanai out front that was attached to three of the bedrooms. AC worked great and Ashley was super helpful with everything. Would book again.

Amazing Beach House on the North Shore of Oahu. Newly remodeled kitchen, three minute walk to a sweet swimming beach and a beautiful deck space to relax and enjoy the day. Take some time to lay in the hammock and drink lemonade. $150 Summer Deal only for dates available in June and July for new reservations.
  • Gorgeous house! Open and everything you need (minus AC) for an amazing staying by the beach. A private beach is less then a five minute walk!! Our family of 5 (3 kids) truly enjoyed our stay here. Aqua blue had something for everyone. A open kitchen for dad/mom, huge porch for getting air while sipping coffee and the kids really loved the huge movie selection. We highly recommend it. Check in was easy and accommodating.

  • Beautiful beachhouse wish we could stay longer!

    Julia2017-07-11T00:00:00Z
  • The place is even better than described. It's also in just the best location, honestly. Pics don't do justice to how nice the apartment is and the view! It is Hawaii and there is not air so it's gonna be hot, just know that. But we knew going in thanks to owners awesome description and figured it out. They provide lots of fans and ceiling fans in every room (even the bathroom :)). I'd highly recommend.

    Jessica2017-09-17T00:00:00Z
  • Like other reviewers have said, the pictures don't lie! This is a beautiful home, and is conveniently located near many sights and activities. From here, it was easy to drive to fun snorkeling/swimming areas such as Turtle Beach and Sharks Cove. The famous food trucks are minutes away, and there's even a Foodland (grocery chain) nearby for you to pick up the basics for breakfast or lunch. Our 6 year old daughter enjoyed eating dinner on the lanai, playing the variety of board games from the closet, and relaxing with a video from the large Blu-Ray collection. Her parents (us) loved having a large space for relaxing, necessities like shampoo and dish soap, and being able to borrow the beach chairs and boogie board. As with most island homes, there is no AC, so be prepared for warm days to transition into evenings cooled by an ocean breeze. A cool shower before bed, and turning on the extra fans will help you to get a head start on a peaceful night's sleep. We feel so fortunate to have been able to stay here. It was a delight!

    Kristy2017-07-23T00:00:00Z
  • This place is fantastic! It is a beautiful second story house, wonderfully decorated and perfect for a family! Everything is modern and clean and this would be a great place to live in. We wished we were staying longer...The lanai is also perfect for dinner and enjoying the cool evening ocean breeze.

    Lisa2017-06-17T00:00:00Z
  • This house is amazing! It is exactly what you see in the photos and the views are breathtaking. It is within a mile of the Polynesian Cultural Center (a must for a Luau) and worth it. You are about 5-7 miles from the main North Shore beaches and activities. I would strongly recommend renting this place if you can. My family will certainly make a reservation the next time we are in Oahu. This place was very relaxing and in a quiet enclave near the beach. Thank's Joanie we look forward to another visit.

    Jeremy 2017-07-30T00:00:00Z
  • Thank you Joanie for being our 1st AirBnB host. The location and residence was more than we expected for our family vacation this year in Hawaii. Thank you for clearly providing us the information we needed to stay at such an open and freedom feeling home. We recommend this residence to anyone going on vacation in this area for sure!!

    Jose2017-10-04T00:00:00Z
  • This is a beautiful home and garden on the pointe, 5 mins walk to the beach & shops. We stayed upstairs and had more then enough room for the two of us. There are only fans so spend time on the covered balcony with ocean breezes. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Thank you for sharing it with us.

Enjoy a slower pace in our newly constructed family-friendly home, conveniently located only eight houses from the ocean in a local neighborhood close to Laie. We invite you to relax in our new beds and cozy couch, or recline on the lanai chaise while reading a classic.
We welcome you to our beautiful new large three bedroom two bathroom Hawaiian escape that sleeps up to a maximum of 9 people. Our new home is completely equipped with new appliances (including laundry), cooking utensils and Pottery Barn plates and accessories. All furniture, bedding, and mattresses have been purchased recently and are of the best quality. On hot days inside, you can enjoy our newly installed central air conditioning (a rare item in Hawaii) while sitting on our eight person comfortable sectional as you stream movies through our Apple TV, or Smart TV. The Polynesian Cultural Center is only three minutes away, and boasts the island's best luau and cultural experience. Watch the North Shore Surfing competitions at nearby Bonzai Pipeline, walk around the gorgeous LDS Laie temple and visitor center, take a beautiful hike in the surrounding local mountains, go horseback riding at the nearby Gunstock Ranch, or try the rope swings and natural rock pool at Alligator Pond. The possibilities are truly endless. Our home is family friendly, where toddlers and young children are welcomed by a large basket of toys, crib, highchair, and books. Many restaurants are conveniently located within the block, including Papa Ole's, North Shore Tacos and Hau'ula Korean Barbecue. Hauula's grocery stores - Tamura's and Longs Drugs- are also within the block next to the home for easy to plan meals if you choose to cook. Speaking of cooking, if you choose to stay at home and cook your own food, we have a mixer, blender, cookie sheets, crock pot, pans and many more items to make our home feel like yours. Guests will have private access to the upstairs portion of the house, lanais, backyard, air conditioning, garage, laundry room, Smart TV, Wifi, beach toys, and bananas (if ripe and available), hose shower next to the door for washing off sand.
We are in a quiet neighborhood known for watching out for each other. Friendly polynesian neighborhood surrounded by local vegetation of breadfruit, banana, coconut, and plumeria trees. Beaches access is located seven houses down the street. Popular activities for beaches include beachcombing, snorkeling, boogie boarding, surfing, and paddleboarding.
  • We had a most wonderful time here. It is really an escape with ease. The house is new, modern and spacious, and everything we needed was provided: kitchen, washing machine, dryer, etc, which made it super easy to holiday. There are many useful extras, such as beach towels, snorkelling gear, sun shade, etc, which made our stay so much more enjoyable, as we didn’t have to buy or rent these things separately. Dealing with the owner and the manager (who lives downstairs) was super easy and their responses were always very prompt and accommodating. Shops and beaches are practically in walking distance and the neighbours are very friendly. The house was our base for many enjoyable day trips to the northern beaches up to and further west of Haleiwa, Pearl Harbour, Honolulu, the west coast of O’ahu with its pristine beaches, the Bishop Museum, Hawaii Plantation, and many more places during the two weeks we stayed. To sum it up, we can highly recommend this place and would come back again without hesitation.

    Katrin2015-10-19T00:00:00Z
  • We had a wonderful stay at Sterling's beautiful home on the North Shore. The location really was ideal- right across the street from two grocery stores and just a short walk to a perfect beach that we had never been to! As Oahu residents, we thought this was a nice surprise. The kitchen was well-equipped, modern and spacious- perfect for cooking meals for a large group. We loved gathering in the open concept dining and living rooms as well as on the large lanai. The central ac was a huge perk as it is quite the rarity in Hawaii (though we did get notified by Carmen, the property manager that we had turned the temp a bit low at one point- got a little carried away with the luxury). All in all, we loved the house and can't wait to come back for another getaway!

    Erin2015-11-04T00:00:00Z
  • We were welcomed upon arrival by the caretaker Ben and his son. Ben was very helpful in acquainting us with the property and features. Information regarding the surrounding area including shops and restaurants was provided as well. House was very, very clean and exceptionally well kept. Beds were super comfy. Showers were great! The deck furniture was so nice and we used it often. Dining area seated our 7 guests comfortably. Kitchen was well stocked and great for cooking. Beach chairs, towels, snorkel gear, body boards etc. were provided and put to good use. Washer and dryer on site was a huge plus.

    Rebecca2016-02-14T00:00:00Z
  • Great place close to the beach had a great time I would recommend this to any one every thing worked house was every thing you could ask for

    Jim2016-10-02T00:00:00Z
  • Had a wonderful time here. Perfect space for a vacation with family. They thought of all the things you'll need, like beach towels, beach chairs, snorkels, boogie boards, patio furniture, high chair, plus a beautiful interior that made for a great atmosphere to cook, eat together, and just enjoy the space.

    Melanie2016-05-09T00:00:00Z
  • The house is in a residential area with grocery shopping and some restaurant options nearby. The road is busy but Hawaiian drivers are amazingly patient and courteous. The beach is a short walk away and the house is well equipped with beach chairs, beach towels and other beach gear. Overall, everything is just as it appears on the website. The beds are very comfortable and there is plenty of towels and bed linens. There is also an inflatable mattress if you need it. The house was kept comfortable using ceiling fans with the windows open.

    Sarah2016-03-05T00:00:00Z
  • Carmen was very welcoming and explained a few things such as the laundry facility, trash and recycling, shoes (sand!), etc. She and her husband were available if needed but gave us complete privacy. It was a short walk to a beach with rocks and coral that we could pick up, but it was not a beach for swimming or sunbathing. Carmen gave us excellent directions to their favorite beaches.

    Sharyn2016-03-26T00:00:00Z

  • Great place with a great view. Loved seeing turtles from our backyard everyday!

  • Beautiful, beachfront location!

    Paige2017-01-06T00:00:00Z
  • My husband and I had a beautiful time staying in Minerva and Jared's cottage on Laie beach. The view was incredible, and I'm not sure if it was just because it was winter, but the beach was usually very sparsely populated, even though it's lovely for sunning and floating. We took several moonlit walks without seeing anyone else at all...which felt like the kind of experience you pay thousands of dollars a night for. The cottage itself was clean, simply furnished but with everything we needed. Minerva was a charming host who gave us great local suggestions for restaurants and activities (Papa Ole's is not to be missed). All in all, a delightful experience!

    Diana2017-01-12T00:00:00Z
  • Fantastic property - clean, cozy bungalow with a private backyard that leads down to a quiet, beautiful beach. Jared and Minerva can be a little difficult to reach with questions in advance, but are attentive hosts once you arrive. There is a second rental cottage on the same property, so don't be surprised if you see other guests wandering through the backyard, but it's not obtrusive. All in all a great experience, highly recommended.

    Adam2017-01-16T00:00:00Z
  • The hosts were easy to reach and helpful and this beach front cottage is on a beautiful beach but the cottage itself needs some much needed love, care and above all else, it seriously needs a DEEP clean! The bedding was stained, old and ripped. There was mouse dropping in the closet and the cupboards all need to be organized and cleaned! Note to self, if the listing only shows 3 pictures of the inside of the place than there is a problem! Until the owners spend a weekend cleaning and painting and purchasing some new linens I would recommend staying away! We are not the type of people that need or require 5 star but I do require that the places I stay are clean! This cottage did not meet my expectations with cleanliness at all especially the bed that we had to sleep on!

    Colleen2016-11-21T00:00:00Z
  • Minerva and Jared were very kind, responsive, and unintrusive during our time at the cottage. We got in later in the night and they let us know the place was ready for us with the lights on, completely seamless and easy. They even texted us where we could find some good snorkeling the next day while we on the hunt! Gorgeous outlook onto the cute little beach and a lovely place to watch the sunrise over the ocean.

    Patricia2015-09-06T00:00:00Z
  • Exactly same with pic! Great place.

    mandy2015-08-24T00:00:00Z
  • Experience was great. The beach is just feet from the cottage. Would the kitchen had everything we needed to cook a great breakfast. Would definitely stay here again.

  • Our hosts were fabulous, extremely welcoming and informative. They gave us so much great local information about where to go and what to do, all of it was useful.

    Lee2016-01-12T00:00:00Z
  • This house is in a perfect setting on the end of a peninsula that juts out and overlooks the ocean. This home was perfect for our party of four with the pool right outside the bedrooms. There was a patio built into the cliffs (below the pool level) where it was mesmerizing to watch the rolling waves and hear the thunderous breakers against the shore. Rachel and Derek were great hosts and provided a wealth of information and advice as to what to see and where to go. This home is a destination in itself.

    Jack2016-07-03T00:00:00Z
  • I cannot say enough wonderful things about our stay at Rachel and Derek's home. The views were incredible, the accommodations are immaculate, and their hospitality is warm and inviting. Derek provided us a local's perspective on things to do close to their home which made our experience so enjoyable. We came to find out that Rachel is a massage therapist with over 30 years experience! My buddy and I were able to get an hour long full body massage in her private studio located right above the BNB. Beach chairs, boogie boards and towels were provided and I cannot over emphasise the relaxing outdoor shower which overlooks the bluffs. Our expectations were well exceeded so if you are looking for a taste of true Honolulu do not hesitate to book this location.

    Robert2016-09-10T00:00:00Z
  • Great ocean views on the Point in Laie. Pool area was the best part of the location--spacious, private and comfortable--we were surprised how often we used the pool during our stay. It was fun just hanging out and reading books on the patio by the pool. Secluded and quiet neighborhood. Living room and kitchen were small as advertised. Rachel & Derrick were great hosts--low key and accomodating when we needed anything. Rachel's massages were excellent and reasonable priced--highly recommended if you have the time. We've stayed at few places in Laie and loved this location. Reasonably priced, excellence value. We'll be back!

    David2017-06-11T00:00:00Z
  • Book this now, without hesitation, and if you're thinking of spending 3 nights here, book for 4, or 5, or 6!! The location is superb - right on Laie Pt, as close to the ocean as can be, with access to a pool, bbq, 2 bedroom unit, and fun outdoor shower. Shops are nearby, as are plenty of shrimp trucks and other attractions. We didn't meet Rachel but Derrick was a warm and welcoming host, full of local knowledge and happy to share tips on where to eat and what to do. Paradise on earth! We're so grateful to have had the opportunity to share this precious place.

    Sophie2016-12-26T00:00:00Z
  • Rachel and Derek are a lovely couple with an incredible little gem of an Airbnb. If you want a great location and tour guides for hosts, then this place is for you.

    Wesley2017-02-07T00:00:00Z
  • We had most relaxing time at this stunning location after spending 4 nights in busy Waikiki. Both Rachel and Derrick were super friendly, hospitable and more than happy to ensure we were comfortable during our time at their home. We cooked bbqs near the pool and watched the sun go down on their private patio which overlooks the wild ocean (we also saw turtles). We only spent 3 nights with them but didn't want to leave. Highly recommended. 5 STAR ️️️️️

    Duan2016-06-04T00:00:00Z
  • Book Rachel's spot before it's gone. What a wonderful treat. The house is the last one on Laie point providing scenic views that other tourists take a day trip to see. But book here, and you'll enjoy the view from the shower! The lower yoga patio is perfect. We saw whales, crabs, and I'm sure missed much more. The waves are majestic. Despite the busy bustle of the park next door, the space feels EXTREMELY secure and private. You're in a world class location and the set up makes it feel like you're the only person there. On top of all that, wonderful hosts. Kind, helpful, and a perfect balance between friendly chitchat and giving us our space.

Get away from busy Waikiki to a private beach in the backyard of this peaceful ground floor unit. Exercise at the gym or relax by the pool, on the beach, or by the picnic and BBQ areas. Minutes from Polynesian Cultural Center and Mormon Temple.
  • We loved staying here! It was so nice to have the oven right outside the backdoor and catch the sunsets. Everything was stocked up nice and having washer and dryer with supplies made it so much nicer with having kids with us. Our children loved all of the books, games and beach equipment that were provided. We prefer the north side of the island because of the beaches and less crowded area and you can't beat this price especially for being right on the ocean. We had a great time and would definitely return. Thanks again!

    Zachary2017-07-18T00:00:00Z
  • The location was very convenient to explore the beautiful northern beaches and eastern side of the island. Also was not far out of Honolulu and the airport. We spent most days swimming and snorkelling the numerous fabulous beaches along the north shore, as well as kayaking around Kailua. Also saw plenty of fish snorkelling the shallow reef straight out the front of the accommodation. There are shrimp trucks and other eateries nearby, or else there is a supermarket a couple minutes drive away so we could stock up on supplies and cook in the fully equipped and well set out kitchen. The fridge was huge! All amenities and appliances that you could need have been provided. Whilst there is no air con, the sea breeze coming through the unit kept us cool during the day and evening. We had 2 teenagers use the sofa bed - we decided not to use the extra air mattress. Importantly for the kids there was WiFi available. Jonathan was a great host - easy to communicate with, and met us on arrival to make sure we settled in ok and gave good advice on local attractions and places to eat. Overall we were very happy with our stay.

    nathan2017-07-29T00:00:00Z
  • If you are about the ocean breeze... hearing the crashing of the waves at night and morning walks of the sand this is a perfect place to stay!!

    Kailani2017-07-23T00:00:00Z
  • The condo was perfect for our needs in every way, with the added bonus of having the beach just outside the door.

    Barry2017-06-10T00:00:00Z
  • Clean, safe and the beach is literally out the door

    Christine2017-08-09T00:00:00Z
  • Overall, a good value for the island. Although the place was clean and the kitchen well stocked, there was a strange, basement-like odor to the place. It was nice being so close to a beach, but being on the ground floor has its ups and downs. We had some very loud neighbors and because there was no AC, we had to keep windows open for coolness so no chance for quiet. On the upside, the kitchen is well stocked and the décor had several personal touches that we appreciated. There was never a shortage of towels. We enjoyed the children's books readily available and my daughter loved being able to swim in the pool a long day at the beach. I loved being able to experience this side of the island, but be warned, there is very little to eat in terms of restaurants. Very unique experience.

    Sylvana2017-07-09T00:00:00Z
  • Modest place for a great price and a spectacular view. The beach is RIGHT THERE! There is also a pool for easy swimming for the kids. It's on the nicer side of Oahu, away from the big city but with plenty of things nearby including the Polynesian Cultural Center and great food trucks. Great communication made getting settled in easy. Fully stocked kitchen was fully made use of. Thanks!

    George2017-06-28T00:00:00Z
  • Excellent location right on the beach and close to Laie and the PCC. Has all the amenities you need including a washer and dryer. Would definitely come back and stay here again.

Go back in time to the real Hawaii in these romantic, beachfront cottages. Beautiful ocean views surround you on a semi-secluded, white sandy beach. Relax on your lanai (patio) and listen to the waves gently breaking on a distant reef. Sunrises and moonrises over the ocean will amaze you each day. These cozy 500 sq. ft. cottages have a spacious feeling, full kitchens, washer/dryer, Flat-screen TVs, and beach equipment. Parking and wifi included.
This cottages is in a tropical, rural setting near the Polynesian Cultural Center and the BYU Hawaii campus. Road-side food wagons along the coast on this side of the island offer local foods and produce. The nearest grocery story is 2 miles north, in a small shopping center that includes a CVS store. The Turtle Bay Resort Hotel is 10 miles north, and it offers more sophisticated dining. My favorite restaurant in the area is, "Lei Lei's" on the golf course at Turtle Bay, but for casual dining, try; "North Shore Taco" and "Papaole's" in Hauula, "7-Brothers" (2 locations) in Laie and Kahuku, or "Tita's Grill" in Kahuku.
  • The house locates in a nice place, and the beach is just in front of the door. The house is well-decorated and become a prefect place as "HOME" in Hawaii. The only problem we faced was there were some pests there, but not that many. Still would highly recommend this place to others.

    Summer Tong2017-06-26T00:00:00Z
  • What a great host. She communicated with us and was really concerned everything was working for us.

  • Great location and value. Friendly atmosphere. Peaceful place to relax and soak in Hawaii at it's best. Highly recommended!! A++

    Kevin2017-10-26T00:00:00Z
  • This place has a gorgeous view of the ocean. The ocean is protected by a reef so it is relatively calm and guests can swim without fear of sharks. It was great to fall asleep to the sound of the waves at night, however due to open windows, we were woken up every morning by 6am. The property is located next to the parking lot so families coming and going would disturb your privacy. The owner was great for promptly addressing any concerns we had. Only major drawbacks in terms of amenities would be no A/C and no dishwasher. We noticed that the kitchen was small and the place is very "cozy". Would recommend only for max 2 people.

    Sara2017-07-09T00:00:00Z
  • Great place to rent in a quiet area of Oahu. The condo is literally few meters away from a nice secluded sandy beach. Definitely recommend it for a peaceful vacation !

    Thomas2017-08-21T00:00:00Z
  • My parent stayed at this airbnb and loved it ! Beautiful cottage and great location. There is no AC but it didn't bother them too much.

    Joanna2017-08-31T00:00:00Z
  • This location is phenomenal! Steps to a very secluded beach. There aren't a whole lot of dining/shopping options around, but we were going for a quiet escape, and this was perfect. The host was super fast at responding to questions. The kitchen is small but has everything you need. The patio is wonderful. We didn't use the pool or gym, so can't speak to that. It doesn't have AC which largely wasn't an issue, as it was breezy and cool at night, but the bedroom did stay warm and was a bit stuffy. I think a window fan of some sort would solve that easily. Other than that, it was perfect.
