“1st Friday of every month = ART HOP in Kalamazoo. Multi venue artist displays. Free, Fun, Food, Wine & Art! Kalamazooarts.org will list details/month. Art Hop is a program of the Arts Council of Greater Kalamazoo - an evening of art exhibits and events, one of the great things to do in Kalamazoo. It's a free event held on the first Friday of every month, it is something you can do alone, with friends or with family that’s fun, interactive, and a great way to explore our downtown. And you don’t have to be an “artist” to enjoy it.”

Concert Hall
“Beautiful, saved 1927 Theater. Seats about 1,600. Great variety of music, comedians, retro movies. No summer shows due to lack of air conditioning. Brittney Spears opened for N-Sync here. Dave Chappell was here for two shows recently. Many very big names over the years. ”

Markets

Market
“Earth Fare is an excellent choice for groceries. It is similar to Whole Foods, but easier on the wallet. The pizza is excellent and can be purchased by the slice or you can take a whole pie home to bake yourself. There is a hot and cold bar of prepared foods and a full selection of cheeses, bread, desserts, beer, wine, and all staple grocery items. The meat and fish are the best in the area.”
