Natural Feature
“Kangaroo Island lies off the mainland of South Australia, southwest of Adelaide. Over a third of the island is protected in nature reserves, home to native wildlife like sea lions, koalas and diverse bird species. In the west, Flinders Chase National Park is known for penguin colonies and striking coastal rock formations, like the sculpted Remarkable Rocks and the stalactite-covered Admirals Arch. Take your car on the Sealink Ferry or travel with KI Connect As you step off onto the island, it's impossible not to relax. Kangaroo Island is known as nature’s playground. Hit the road and you’ll find out why. Wildlife abounds as friendly pubs, accommodation and restaurants give-way to towering cliffs, wild plains and impeccably clear waters. Follow the road less travelled and discover unique wildlife, mouth-watering food and wine, breathtaking scenery and a laid-back lifestyle.”

“This isn't nightlife as they are open from 11am to 5.30 pm, neither is it a bar (there was no distillery category!). If you love gin and/or liqueurs, and cocktails made with same, then pop into KIS for a tasting, a beverage, to chill in their outdoor area. Occasionally there are functions & catering.”

“Great Pub with stunning views over Backstairs Passage. There is an outdoor area if the weather is good and you can have a meal or just a drink. The menu is reasonably priced and it is child friendly. The "Posh Fish & Chips" is definitely worth having.”
