  • Perfect location for a get together with friends who have little ones. Jacuzzi and sauna were a nice touch plus all the games. Gill was extremely helpful and gave lots of great tips. Would stay again.

  • Lovely place to stay, highly recommend 😊😊😊

    Rachel2020-03-01T00:00:00Z
  • We rented both barns for a belated Christmas get together. It was really important to us that the accommodation would suit three generations and it did ! We were met on arrival by Gill and immediately made to feel completely at home. The barns are both very well appointed with everything you could possibly need, in fact my husband managed to cook a delicious Sunday lunch for 10 ... no mean feat in an unfamiliar kitchen. The sauna and hot tub were a wonderful addition as were all the games, particularly Jenna which caused much hilarity! Thank you Gill for such a wonderful stay, we would definitely return and wouldn’t hesitate to highly recommend the property to anyone wanting a thoughtfully presented, versatile place to stay.

    Polly2020-02-04T00:00:00Z
  • Gill is a super host. I ran a wellness retreat at the Threshing and Apple barns on the weekend and couldn't of asked for a better space or host. We had everything we needed. Complete ease of service and very comfy. Would book again. X

  • We had a great stay at Threshing Barn with the whole family - well equipped kitchen and lovely big lounge. We also loved the spa and the sauna.

    Femke2020-01-05T00:00:00Z
  • Booking with Gill was great from start to finish. Quick responses to all our queries and offered great advice about the local area. When we arrived the barn was decorated for Xmas and there was a home made cake waiting for us. Would highly recommend staying at the Threshing/Apple barn.

  • Spacious, clean, everything you will need and great walks straight out the door.

    Amy2019-12-19T00:00:00Z
  • This place is fantastic! Huge space with everything you could need available to you. The hot tub and sauna were particular highlights but the living room space was also fantastic for a big group. Loved our time here

Spacious loft conversion bedroom with the scope to offer accommodation for 1-4 people, with the option of two double futons or one double futon and a sofa. I think that four adults would find it cosy, but great for two adults and two children. There's the option to be able to use the kitchen dining room. It is a lovely airy space, with great views. We are well positioned with easy access to Glastonbury, Wells, the Somerset Levels for the nature reserves, Cheddar Gorge and the M5/A303.
Fantastic locality close to a wide range of eclectic activities. Beautiful spacious room, even with four people staying in it, with great views.
The variety of different things to see and do; historic town of Wells, esoteric Glastonbury, huge range of nature reserves and walking opportunities, Clarks Village for retail therapy on the cheap!
  • Kirsten was a great host, everything was very clean and tidy. Would definitely come back.

    Richard2020-03-15T00:00:00Z
  • Kirsten's attic room in her family house is cosy, offering extra blankets and pillows, as well as a kettle; tea, coffee and sugar are provided as well as some house warming snacks to keep you going - very thoughtful! Linens and towels are provided, as well as wifi and an impressive bookshelf of books. Kirsten is a thoughtful host and the family have a cute black cat called Mojo. Easily accessible to Street high street and the rest of the Somerset area.

  • lovely room, nice location. I spend really relaxable night. Thank you

    Kobayashi2020-03-08T00:00:00Z
  • Kirsten and her family were so friendly and accommodating. Very cosy space and use of facilities. Would definitely recommend :)

    Leona2020-02-21T00:00:00Z
  • Great value! I just slept the night and left early but Kirsten was quick at communicating and accommodated me last minute (and late!). Tea and coffee in the room as well as a chocolate and fruit. Attic apartment so a couple flights of stairs was a good workout, and a shared bathroom was good enough for one quick night. So hospitable, thanks again Kirsten. Highly recommend

    Angela2020-02-18T00:00:00Z
  • Very cosy room, very welcoming host, most helpful with a last-minute booking and a late-night arrival. Blackout blinds made the room wonderfully dark. Playful cat a great addition. Would definitely recommend.

    Phill2020-02-12T00:00:00Z
  • Cozy place, very close to Glastonbury. Kirsten is a very kind host.

    Alicia2020-02-09T00:00:00Z
  • Kirsten’s space is a very comfortable attic room in a family house with everything that you’d need for a stay. My visit was very short but during this time Kirsten was a very welcoming and accommodating host. The town of Street is located in a beautiful area of the country and even though I was only passing through, I’d recommend staying here if you want a place with a welcoming homestay feel.

The studio is a single-story conversion of an old stable situated in its own garden with panoramic views. The accommodation comprises of a large open-plan lounge/dining, bedroom (all with views), separate shower room, separate fully equipped galley kitchen. The property is heated and the bedroom area has a King size bed complete with a dual electric blanket for that extra comfort.
Suitable for a couple seeking a quiet central location from which to explore the area or parents visiting their children boarding at Millfield, Hazlegrove or All Hallows schools. The studio is very private, situated some distance from the main house and has amazing views of the local countryside and the Mendip Hills. It offers self-catering accommodation and is completely equipped to a high standard. The total space including the Garden Room is approximately 55 square metres. PLEASE NOTE: There is a washing machine which is only available to guests who stay for a minimum duration of four nights . We are sorry but we do not cater for children.
We are central to some great locations. Locally there is the Quarry Inn which is 100 metres down the High Street, as is the local shop. We are also only 5 miles from the small town of Somerton, which lays claim to being the ancient capital of Wessex. We are approximately 6 miles from Clarks Village and the town of Glastonbury, 9 miles from the Historic Cathedral town of Wells and 8 miles from the Somerset Levels which has an abundance of bird life including a Crane Project. Other places of interest nearby may be the Haynes Motor Museum (which has a good restaurant), and Yeovilton Aircraft Museum. We are also only 50/60 minutes from Lyme Regis. The towns of Sherborne and Shaftesbury are a 35 and 50 minute drive away. There are some excellent local walks in the area and we are within easy reach of the Cheddar Gorge and the Mendip Hills (which can be seen from The Studio).
  • Lovely hideaway, special place to get away from it all and unwind.

    Elizabeth2020-03-25T00:00:00Z
  • The studio is a very restful and homely place to stay. Great to walk through the garden on the way to the studio, it must be lovely in summer but was very cosy for me in winter.

    Rosie2020-02-25T00:00:00Z
  • A delightful stay for a countryside break. Perfect for a cosy day in or to explore the nearby towns. Mike and Pam were also very accomodating

    Samson2020-02-16T00:00:00Z
  • The Studio is a great place to stay, clean, comfortable, quiet, with a really well equipped kitchen, literary and DVD libraries. The hosts were lovely and even called when I was a bit late to check all was well.

    Pauline2019-11-24T00:00:00Z
  • We only had a couple of nights in this extraordinary secluded haven, everything super-clean and comfortable, and we could have done with a longer stay. Our lovely hosts, Mike and Pam, were right there when we arrived, ready with a little trolley to wheel our bags down the garden path past beautiful flower and vegetable beds to the studio. We were very cosy - crazy that we needed some heat in the middle of this cold wet June. Comfortable large bed, good wifi, everything you could possibly need in the kitchen. The pub a couple of minutes away had nice beer and good un-fancy food. We spent our days visiting National Trust properties. This would be a good place to do some uninterrupted writing or sewing!

    Sarah2019-06-15T00:00:00Z
  • Pam and Mike are the most accommodating and welcoming hosts. They even helped me get going on my homeward journey after a flat tyre. Well equipped and very private accommodation with everything you would need. Already thinking about my next visit!

    Catherine2019-04-25T00:00:00Z
  • A lovely place to escape from the city! We really enjoyed our weekend, the place is beautiful and it’s a nice area to walk around. Mike and Pam were so lovely and very flexible with our arrival times because we had some delays. Definitely recommend!

The hosts are outstanding and I felt they genuinely cared about me as a guest. They provide a super comfortable bed, lovely continental breakfast and sky tv. They are a genuinely warm and kind couple and I felt very welcome, I slept peacefully and this property was also sparkling clean and cosy too. I didn’t want to leave and I highly recommend it to anyone.

  • A very warm host couple. The equipment is small and beautiful. Everything you need is available. Very clean, cozy. In the cold season it has a small fireplace, the room is immediately warm. The small garden, made especially for the guests, is very inspiring, the brook you have in view comes directly from the Holy White Spring. A little magical place. Highly recommended, we will be back. Thank you. Big hugs

  • This place was truly relaxing and cozy . It was well thought out with attention to detail . It is by far the best air bnb place I have been to ! The extra plus was the great location and the little stream next to the house which was nicely set up to relax by .

We have a single room with en-suite toilet. There is a shower room along the corridor. The room looks out onto the garden and adjoining field.
There is plenty of parking. A former vicarage under gradual renovation - there is always something going on but we do try to keep guest areas tranquil! There are interesting features, photos, pictures and ornaments around. The house is friendly and welcoming. The garden is wild and free - we have tried to tame parts of it though!
Within easy walking distance we are lucky to have a pub serving good meals. There are monthly events including live music held there too. There is also a garage with a small supermarket. We are centrally placed to visit a number of places of interest such as Glastonbury, Somerton (seat of the kings of Wessex) and Castle Cary. National Trust properties, Lytes Cary and Montacute House are also close.

Barton Saint David is a beautiful village near to Glastonbury. It is approximately ten minutes by car. The house is situated next to open fields and is quiet and dark at night with no street lighting. There are lots of birds and wildlife around and a big private garden at the rear to enjoy them. If you are looking for a sanctuary space to unwind then this is perfect for you. I work as a Holistic Therapist and have lived here for 4 years. In the Glastonbury Zodiac this is the Libra part ~ peace
This is a detached house on the edge of a rural village. There are lots of crystals and esoteric books. It is full of light with lots of plants. I love colour and comfort and my home reflects this. I offer a variety of holistic therapies. I can do Astrology and Mayan Calendar readings if you seek to expand your awareness. Please message me for more info. I have lots of knowledge about local places to visit and sacred sites. I can recommend other therapists locally too.
The house is detached at the beginning of a cul de sac and opposite the park . There are lots of lovely walks close by. The National Trust house Lytes Cary is a 10 minute drive. Clarke's shopping outlet is 10 minutes drive at Street. Bath and Bristol are within an hour by car.
  • Wonderful room in stunning location. I asked Jo beforehand if the room was quiet and she assured it me it was. It really really was. I slept so peacefully and woke up naturally which is rare in some air bnbs. The location is absolutely gorgeous a couple of friendly local pubs are within short drive with home cooked meals served. I had use of the kitchen for simple cooking and I was allocated good storage for food. Bath/shower was very nice also. It really was a joy. Jo is very friendly and accommodating and gives you space to be independent in her home yet is very interesting lady to chat to if your paths cross. Fab experience. Highly recommended!

  • Gill has 2 dogs. I dont mind dogs but I am nervous around them and just stand still until they go away or lose interest in me. When I was around, the dogs were kept indoors out of the shared garden space, which I thought was very thoughtful and considerate of Gill as it was the dogs home. The shared garden space was clean and clear and well presented.

    Philomena2020-04-19T00:00:00Z
  • This is a stylish and well-presented annexe, really comfortable and well-equipped. Gill was very welcoming and really helpful when we had questions, providing everything we needed for a super stay. Highly recommended!

  • Jays nest is a lovely, clean and cosy place to stay with good facilities, there’s a microwave, fridge and crockery etc. Good location with off road parking, nearby Somerton town centre which has nice pubs and local shops. Very convenient for me. Gill and her husband were friendly and helpful!

    Tessa2020-03-17T00:00:00Z
  • Great little stay. We booked for a last minute night away with the dog and Gill was very fast to respond and was very friendly. the flat was a quaint small place perfect for a couple for a short stay. The only thing to note was that the local field wasn't dog friendly so worth bearing in mind if your a dog owner. Otherwise great value for money, would recommend!!

  • Gill's place is lovely and warm. The bed was so comfortable. The hosts were really nice and they made sure i was ok and that everything in the room was ok. I would highly recommend this place especially if you want the privacy of your own space. I would return again if I'm ever in the area again. Thanks Gill for your hospitality.

  • Claire and Jake are amazing hosts, they made everything possible to make my stay the best they could. They are very friendly and warm welcoming and treated me like one of they're friends. Airbnb should create a category called supermarvelicious cause they would fit right in that. Thank you so much for the lovely week I had. Definitely recommend and if I ever need a place to stay again I will return to Claire and Jake.

    Justin2019-12-28T00:00:00Z
  • A wonderfully stylish space, airy and light. Everything was of the highest standard and the hospitality provided by Alison was exceptional. The location was calm and tranquil and close to Glastonbury and its many sights. It was great to have a fully equipped kitchen area in which to prepare meals alongside a separate dining area and breakfast bar. In the evening we were able to chill-out on the spacious and comfortable sofa in-front of a large TV. The bedroom was amazingly comfortable, relaxing and stylish. This is accommodation of the highest standard and we will most certainly be making a return visit when in the area again.

  • I had a fabulous experience staying at Rosie's house. Rosie is warm and welcoming and her home is beautiful. Beds are super comfortable and having a private bathroom (with a rain fall shower) is a pure delight. Rosie's home is closer to town than I expected, just a few minutes walk away. And breakfast was fantastic, lots of thoughtful little extras. I can't recommend Rosie's place enough, I would love to stay there again when I'm back in Glastonbury.

    Rachael2020-02-06T00:00:00Z
  • Rosemary is a true super host. Wonderful quiet residence, close to town, great breakfasts and great shower! Would definitely stay again.

    Kirsty2020-02-03T00:00:00Z
  • This place was not only spotlessly clean and with a gorgeous kitchen and dining space, but Rosie also was very graciously accommodating, pleasant and relaxed. She responded to all my queries in no time at all, the bed was ever so comfortable and having a stylish and efficient private bathroom to use was a real bonus! And it is very close to the centre of town and the local supermarket (Morrison's) whilst being quiet. Parking can be close if you're lucky, or less than a minute away otherwise. I can see why everybody wants to return, i would!

The Orchard Room is attached to our home (At Last) and is a large studio room with comfortable settee, TV, workstation and king size bed. There is an en-suite shower room and small kitchen diner. With your own front door and parking space, and use of an area of our large garden, we think the space is perfect for couples, lone travellers or business people. Compton Dundon is a small village, well placed to explore the beautiful Somerset levels, with Wells, Glastonbury and Street all close by.
The Orchard Room is a relaxing place to stay, where you will be made to feel at home with a welcome box of breakfast provisions, helpful hosts and all the essential comforts, giving you a five star service experience. You can park outside, let yourself into your own front door and put your feet up ... we want you to enjoy your stay and come back one day! The basic kitchen is equipped to enable you to put something on the hob, in the toaster or slow cooker, or rustle up something cold from the fridge. You will find shampoo, hand wash and shower gel in the bathroom, and we are on hand if you need anything. We even consider your work needs, with ample plug points and USB ports accessible to you on a spacious desk. A large area of the garden is yours to enjoy and if we are not around, you are welcome to use our al fresco under-cover dining area.
Compton Dundon is a rural village, but well placed for local attractions like Wells, Glastonbury and Street, all of which are 10-20 minutes away. You will sleep well, although the birds are often chirping their dawn chorus before we wake. You may hear the odd tractor or horserider go past. The delights of Wookey Hole, Cheddar Gorge, Bruton, Bristol and Bath await. There are walks from the doorstep for all fitness levels. We can give you our take on the best pubs, bars and restaurants which, in our experience, will enhance your stay and really make your visit a memorable one.

The room is very private and has a double bed, large wardrobe, desk, and a comfy chair. It has its own patio/garden with large doors and blackout curtains (for an amazing sleep any time of the day). The toilet and shower are just outside the room and are rarely used by anyone else. The room has a 24" TV with Netflix and Amazon Prime (no terrestrial TV), which can also be used to browse the Internet or watch YouTube videos.
A very quiet and relaxing atmosphere to recharge and start a new day.
The house is in a very quiet neighborhood (dead quiet at night and most of the day) and in front of a large green area - which is also the view from the lounge's windows and balcony.
  • A very respectful and considerate host. Nissim will go out of his way to make you comfortable and feel at home. I highly recommend a stay if you stay in the South west of England.

  • This is a beautiful place to stay, Val is easy going, easy to talk to and very accommodating. A home away from home! 5 stars ⭐️

    Mike2018-09-01T00:00:00Z
  • Valerie has a stylish home & lovely garden, all of which she shared with us. Our rooms were comfortable & spotlessly clean with all the touches you might expect in a good hotel. A good full English breakfast was cooked to order & nothing was too much trouble for Val who is a delightful, friendly lady. We would highly recommend a stay at Val's.

  • Karin’s studio apartment is simply stunning. A very immaculate, stylish and comfortable space made all the more nicer with a few extra little touches over and above the basics. Well situated for our needs. The kids loved the huge selection of DVDs. I loved the kitchen space with all the necessities for cooking a meal. Karin was a welcoming host who ensured we had everything we needed on our arrival. Thank you! 😀

Dogs Welcome Ex park home refurbished available exclusively for holiday makers visiting Glastonbury and surrounding areas. Situated in the grounds of our country cottage on the very green and quiet outskirts of the famous and very spiritual town. Gorgeous nature reserves very close by, Natural England sites, public footpaths and cycle routes all close by. The town centre, Glastonbury Abbey & Glastonbury Tor are within a 35-55 minute walk or a very short drive. Suitable for all & lovely views.
We wanted to provide a very economic space for holiday makers to use and enjoy to enable you to enjoy the experiances that Glastonbury and the surrounding areas have to offer for less. The accommodation itself has a fully equipped and working kitchen, gas fired central heating, large open space dining room and living room with L shaped sofa, TV and dining table. Bathroom is fully working with toilet, basin, built in shower with enclosure and tray. Master bedroom contains King size bed with plenty of blankets, pillows and bedding. Spare bedroom 1 contains large wardrobe with full body length mirror suitable for unpacking and hanging clothes. 3rd bedroom ideal for storage. Large outside space perfect for dogs who will thoroughly enjoy the green fields, stunning nature reserves and public footpaths that are to offer around the property. Ample space for parking with a secure garden and electric gate. We are the only property for at least 0.5 miles and although located on a fairly busy country lane, the accommodation and grounds is very quiet. This is definitely a place to stay for some quiet, peaceful time away. Having the ability to drive or a keen cyclist/walker is necessary due to the remote location just outside of Glastonbury. Plenty of taxis operate in the area too.
We are surrounded by nature and in the heart of the Countryside. There are plenty of fields, nature reserves and foot paths that can be enjoyed with stunning views.
  • Very comfortable and good value. The caravan is well laid out with plenty of space to relax in the living room and prepare meals in the kitchen. Kate and her husband were very helpful and quick to respond. Would definitely stay again. A good location for Glastonbury and Street.

  • The mobile home was just great, cosy, warm and well-equipped for two. The heating is by a boiler in the home, so manageable by the guest. It was clean, comfy and enough space, not cramped at all. Bed very comfy though I hardly slept a wink as we had yet another storm, very windy! Great view of Glastonbury Tor across countryside, only few miles off.

Wheelwright cottage is our little one bedroom, self contained annexe with its own shower room and kitchenette and dining area. The bedroom has a king size bed. Which is reached by a wooden spiral staircase. We are located in beautiful West Charlton near Somerton in Somerset.
It's bijou but it's comfy and cozy, that's what our guests are telling us. You'll have you own space, separate from the main house. The kitchenette has a fridge, mini oven, kettle, toaster and dual hot plates. Plates, pots and pans and cutlery and all the basic essentials are also available. Towels and bed linen are provided as well as breakfast essentials from the local bakery. The stars are amazing at night due to very little light pollution in the area. We are just under two miles from the A303 and abou 25 minutes away from the M5. Glastonbury is just up the road, And so are Shepton Mallet and Yeovil. Our sleepy little nearest town is called Somerton, which has lovely little shops and a supermarket.
The Charltons are rural and quiet, friendly villages. We have a little shop in walking distance that serves the villages with everything you could hope for and a bit further up the road is our local, family and dog friendly village pub - the fox and hounds. The nearest supermarket and butchers are in Somerton, a beautiful little town in the heart of Somerset.
  • Thanks so much Anneke for having us. The place is fantastic and has everything you need for a comfortable and cosy stay, with lot's of thoughtful finishing touches! The location is beautiful nestled in amongst farmland with so many lovely walks nearby. We would definitely recommend staying here for a getaway or when visiting friends or family in the local area. Anneke is a generous host and Zoe was really kind and helpful and always available when we needed anything. Couldn't ask for more. Thankyou!

    Archie2020-04-05T00:00:00Z
  • Great space. Had the added bonus of a small daffodil-filled field of sheep and new lambs next door, as well as lovely ringing Church bells. Very picturesque!

  • I have no Word to descrive this magnificent cottage and this unbelievable Town, i Will come back ASAP.

    Daniele2020-02-23T00:00:00Z
  • The cottage is set in the pretty Charltons family of villages and is a great base to explore this interesting area of Somerset. The interior space is small as described in the particulars on the website but you'll find all you need for a comfortable stay. It's very clean and very warm and the view of the stars each night was an added bonus.

    Jacob2019-12-30T00:00:00Z

    Ian2019-12-28T00:00:00Z
  • This is such a lovely cozy place to stay for a few days! The location is great for Street & Glastonbury. The Fox and Hounds is a lovely pub for food and drinks!

    Connor2019-12-22T00:00:00Z
  • The cottage was very clean and comfortable even if it is tiny. Lovely location and only a short walk using public foot paths to the village shop. The Fox and Hounds in Charlton Adam is only a short drive away and the food was excellent. Somerton is about 3miles to the west and is well worth a visit. We enjoyed our stay.

Betsy is an established holiday let with over 5 years of bookings. Betsy is a Grade II listed cottage and the epitome of tranquillity and romance. Betsy Cottage is a medieval Grade II listed semi-detached cottage which has been beautifully restored. The large bedroom has an ornate four-poster bed and additionally there is a wonderfully comfortable, working antique copper bath in the bedroom. The living room provides a stunning inglenook fireplace with wood burning stove.
Betsy is a charming romantic cottage. The cottage is named after Betsy Birch who lived there around 300 years ago with her 7 children and a lodger! The ancient beams along with the four poster bed in the bedroom make for a rather comforting and dramatic setting. The kitchen is small but is well equipped. Due to its size we can’t fit a full size oven in. The counter top oven though is absolutely fine for basic cooking. Most of our guests tend to head up to the pub which is within walking distance. In the summer sit out in the courtyard and pick grapes from the grapevine. During the winter snuggle up on the sofa in front of the log burning stove.
Betsy is within 5 minutes drive of Glastonbury and within 15 of the historic city of Wells. If it’s shopping you are after then Clarke’s village is 5 minutes drive. There is a great choice of National Trust property’s around and some stunning walking as well. If it’s walking your after then we can supply you with local maps. Butleigh village is very quiet. Don’t expect lots of phone signal but do expect to have the perfect excuse to switch off and listen to the sound of nothing. The village boasts a shop full of well stocked local produce and a Post Office.
  • Betsy cottage really is a gem for anyone looking to have a secluded getaway. The cottage is so charming with the high points being the incredible fireplace with wood burning stove and the tin Bath in the bedroom. The perfect place to relax and get away from city life. A five star Airb&b!

    Peter2020-03-23T00:00:00Z
  • The cottage was such a wonderful place to spend our anniversary and November felt like the perfect time to be there, with the wood burning fire. The place is absolutely beautiful, so full of charm and very cosy. I loved the window seats! The bed is super comfy and Glastonbury is 10 minutes away by car. We'd definitely go back.

    Gill2019-11-03T00:00:00Z
  • Super Quirky, quaint cottage tucked away off the village high street. Great bolt hole for anyone visiting Somerset with Huge feature bath, and large four poster bed. What’s not to like.

    Adrian2019-07-22T00:00:00Z
  • A beautiful cosy cottage in a lovely village. Lovely, quiet location and very comfy. Fantastic bath and some really homey touches. I was in the area for work, but it would be a lovely place for a quiet summer weekend or even a cosy winter break! Thanks Emma. :)

    Emma2020-02-09T00:00:00Z
  • The Hideaway is a beautiful and comfortable space for couples to enjoy being together. The hot tub was great place to unwind and have a glass of wine or two even on coldest of January nights. The kitchen was well stocked with tea /coffee, condiments and a fridge filled with delicious jams, fruit juices, milk and butter. Laina delivered a continental breakfast to the door every morning and we enjoyed our long lazy breakfasts. The Hideaway is 5 minutes walk into Street with its restaurants and pubs and the Clarks outlet village. We were lucky enough to be visiting on a Thursday and caught the weekly market where we picked up some lovely local cheeses. We really enjoyed our 3 nights at the Hideaway and have returned refreshed and chilled. We would definitely book again and would certainly recommend it to other hopeless romantics like ourselves ♥️♥️

The Wheelwrights Workshop is located at the end of an old barn which has since been converted into this lovely self catering cottage that sleeps two. Please note currently we are offering this cottage at a reduced rate as outside the main door of the cottage there is another old barn which is yet to be converted and due to that there is a little clutter. Rest assured though once inside the cottage you will not notice it and the bedroom window has views of the Tor our only cottage that does.
The cottage comes fully equipped and clean upon your arrival however I will add there is no maid service offered with these self catering cottages. The cottage is equipped with a kitchen area which includes an oven, microwave, fridge/freezer, washer/dryer, toaster, kettle and enough dishes, cutlery and utensils for a fully self catered experience. The upstairs Galleried bedroom has a lovely view of the Tor out the window, a King Size bed and is complete with a view of the exposed old wood beams in the vaulted ceiling. The living room has plenty of seating, a internet tv, dvd player and a gas fireplace. There is also a toilet and shower room in the cottage. The whole cottage has recently been renovated with upgraded underfloor heating, and new flooring throughout. Wifi acess is available in the cottage as well as hard wired ethernet ports.
Glastonbury is a truely unique town, a few of the main attractions would be Glastonbury Tor, Glastonbury Abbey, Chalice well and Gardens and Wryall Hill. All right on our doorstep. If you have a vehicle and dont mind a drive there are many other sites to see, Wells city and cathedral, wookey hole caves, cheddar gorge all being close by to name a few. If you dont mind driving for about an hour things like Stone henge are within reach also.
  • Thank you Edd & Kim for a lovely stay in your beautiful cottage! We can't wait for our next visit.

  • Lovely converted barn perfect for a couple's getaway. Very cosy with underfloor heating, fully equipped kitchen including a dishwasher! we were able to walk into town so didn't use the car the whole time we were there which was great. Lovely comfy bed where we could lay and look up at the Tor and when we actually climbed to it the views were amazing. Highly recommend this place and the extremely friendly cat :)

    Lea2020-03-09T00:00:00Z
  • What a beautiful cottage this really is,not only is the cottage immaculate with everything you could want and more the situation of it right under the Tor is magical. Looking to book again asap.

    Simon2020-03-02T00:00:00Z
  • This is a great base to go and visit Glastonbury from, and beautifully presented! The under floor heating is amazing after a day walking up and down the Tor and around the town! Really can't recommend this place enough, and it comes with a friendly cat who will meow outside your door for tickles! Great stay. Thanks Edd and Kim

    Katherine2020-02-24T00:00:00Z
  • I cannot recommend this place enough. So cosy and perfectly situated. A well equipped home from home. Hosts are quick to respond to any queries and it is very clean. We will be booking a return visit.

    Emma2020-02-19T00:00:00Z
  • This is a lovely cottage that feels very spacious. It looks exactly like it does in the photos – in fact it looks even better in real life. The view of the Tor when you’re lying in bed is magical. It’s in a great location just on the outskirts of Glastonbury town, at the bottom of the Tor and a short walk from Chalice Wells. You can walk from the cottage door up to the top of the Tor in about 25 minutes at a leisurely pace and via a lovely country lane. I think this walk up is a little easier than the walk up from the town. The under floor heating keeps the place toasty – and we were there during a January storm! It has all the amenities you need – cooker, microwave, toaster, kettle, coffeemaker, hairdryer, fridge with small freezer, TV, plates, cutlery etc. There was some tea, coffee, herbal teas, biscuits and milk waiting for us on arrival, as well as some basics – salt and pepper, and olive oil. There is also a selection of good books and DVDs. The armchair is lovely and comfy and turns into a sofa bed. The shower room/toilet is small but makes good use of the space. There was always lots of hot water and the shower is good. The owners are just across the pathway if you need them but give you your space if you don’t. They responded really quickly to our enquiries and were really helpful on giving us local advice when we arrived. One small thing is that you can hear the traffic noise in the distance – however we live in a place that is silent so are probably more sensitive to this than most people. It’s a lovely cottage in a great location. I’d definitely recommend this cottage and we’d come back here again.

  • Edd and Kim's place has a beautiful view of the Tor, toasty warm underfloor heating, and a very comfy bed. It's perfect for self-catering and I can imagine it being fun coming here with a group of friends staying in the different lodges and camping out on the field!

  • Some things are meant to be, and finding Mo's place was just that. I was looking for places to stay in the town of Glastonbury, and I didn't see anything that seemed nice enough for the price or with high enough ratings. I saved this listing and continued to look. I was coming to this area specifically for Glastonbury and to get a reboot and I was told that this was the place to do it. I was hesitant about booking a place outside of the immediate town of Glasto, because I kept thinking I wanted to be as close to it all as possible. Let me tell you, I AM SO GLAD that I gave myself some space away from it all! Mo's place was the perfect place to decompress. Distance wise, it's a smidge over 3 miles or about 5 Kilometers, about 6-8 minutes if you're driving. On a side note, If you do have a car, don't fret, you have a nice little spot right in front to park it in. The space itself was so nice, clean, and clutter free. There was a lot of extra space (until I unpacked), but at the same time, it had all the amenities you could think of, and then some. If you're wondering about other things to do while you're in the area, Mo has you covered. There is a box filled with information on surrounding towns and attractions. Whether you're traveling solo or with the kids, you'll find plenty of options. For me, Mo was more than just a "host". She's an incredibly cool and down to earth human being, and I felt it in the vibe of space. Together, they were my beacon while navigating the heavy current, that for me, was Glastonbury. I will always stay here if I ever come back! Thanks Mo!

  • Booked this for the week while working away, great stay.

  • This is a top notch airbnb. Very well furnished with quality items, lovely and warm (it was December!), very friendly hosts next door who got us a couple of extras items we needed straight away. A lot of thought and effort went into this barn conversion and it shows - we wanted somewhere in a nice village with a 20 minute drive out to attractions so it was ideal. The pub opposite has some life to it with live music some nights which is great. We cooked each night and visited Street, Stourhead, Wells and Langport over the 3 days. Last comments are that the upstairs shower although powerful was pretty hot even when on the coolest setting (thermostat issue maybe) and the bed plus sheets are super comfortable! Lovely.

  • Really beautiful, warm and cosy place. So clean and tidy. Hosts were lovely and helpful. Plenty of milk and water in the fridge, along with tea, coffee, hot chocolate, cereal, chocolate and even a bottle of wine, such a nice touch, really welcoming. Really loved our stay here would definitely come back.

  • Cindy's place is by far one of the best Air B&Bs we have found in the Glastonbury area. It was clean, beautifully and tastefully furnished. There were lots of lovely touches that made our stay really comfortable like wine and drinks in the fridge, coffee and teas ready to enjoy on our arrival. It is located on a small quiet road with a cute and quiet local pub nearby. Lovely area.

    Lee2019-11-05T00:00:00Z
  • Beautiful spot with two big en suite rooms, gorgeous barn decor we felt so cosy and at home. Cindy was a wonderful host, with fresh eggs, milk and a bottle of wine waiting for us on arrival and going the extra mile when we got a puncture, changing the tyre for us no problem! We would definitely stay again!

    Chloe2019-10-27T00:00:00Z
  • Great place and great host.

    Jack2019-10-13T00:00:00Z
  • We enjoyed a terrific weekend at The Barn. It is thoughtfully decorated with a luxurious feel and all that we could need. The communication throughout was excellent and it was all super easy. The location is great for easy access to Glastonbury and Wells, with great views of the Tor from the windows. The pub across the road is lively and friendly with tasty food options and delicious cider (and the windows block out any revelry if you want an early night). We would totally recommend The Barn and hope to come back again.

  • May and Mark are great hosts and I would surely recommend to stay here if visiting Glastonbury: comfortable and clean house and room in a good neighbourhood, waking distance to everything, local map and suggestions provided, tastefull breakfast, enough privacy and excellent hospitality!

  • Mark and Mei are wonderful hosts. The house is in the perfect location to explore Glastonbury and is lovely and cozy. Mark and Mei have a wealth of knowledge and loads of local information to help you make the most of it. Thanks for a great stay x

  • This space was very clean and organized the bathroom is quite large, hot bath, lovely garden and view from the bathroom window. Breakfast and lovely set table all laid out in the morning, I need some rest and this was a wonderful private comfy room with a personal TV and Kettle with tea so i barely even had to leave the room and it was quiet. the perfect place to have some downtime. Also would of been the perfect place to wander into town from as well if one chose that as it is very close to all the sites, walking distance. Mark and Mei were very helpful and respond quickly to all messages, Great value for the money as I stayed at another place that I feel should of been lesser cost than this one, so you really get a great stay at a great price. Thank you Mark and Mei

    Angela2020-01-13T00:00:00Z

  • Mark and Mei were absolutely lovely and helpful, we really enjoyed our stay in their house. Our room was cozy and comfortable and the house itself is very warm and stylish. We had an amazing breakfast made by Mark who even let us try a delicious homemade jam. Besides, it’s ideally located to go to the center and enjoy the city. We wished we could have stayed more!

Birch is a quirky 300 year old cottage. She’s packed full of original features. Birch is perfectly placed for exploring all that Somerset has to offer. Wells, Glastonbury, Street and the Mendips are all within 30 minutes drive. The city of Bath is only an hours drive.
    Birch Cottage is all yours!
Butleigh itself is very quiet. Chances are during the day you’ll hear more horses hooves up the high Street than cars. We are though 5 minutes from Glastonbury and Clarke’s Village in Street. The City of Wells is also an easy 15 minute drive. If it’s walking you’re after you’ll have no problem finding some beautiful hikes.
  • Lovely little cottage in a peaceful village, nice and easy to get to Glastonbury and Street to explore the local areas.

    Katy2019-06-30T00:00:00Z
  • Lovely little cottage in a lovely village :-)

    Jade2019-06-26T00:00:00Z
  • The cottage is 300 hundred years old and the interior reflects this so if modern and sparkling is you’re thing then this isn’t for you. I found the style charming and the log fire was excellent, even in June, because the cottage has very thick stone walls so was cool. We couldn’t find the cottage and had to ask in the post office/shop, who were brilliantly helpful and well stocked. The local pub is worth a visit with good ale and decent pub food, as is the tea room.

    Emma2019-06-23T00:00:00Z
  • The cottage is cute and cosy, in a beautifully peaceful location. We had a wonderful weekend. Would recommend and would stay again.

  • Perfect peaceful retreat in the Somerset countryside. Cute village cottage - within easy walking distance of a good pub and short drive to Glastonbury. The cottage has bags of character - and a real wood burning stove for cool evenings and a courtyard garden for drinking coffee [and wine] in the sun.

    Mark2019-04-20T00:00:00Z
  • Beautiful cottage in a great location - I cannot wait to book back up to return!
