  • Used Florencia's property as a stopover while traveling from Las Vegas to San Francisco. It is located in the middle of a residential area about 33 km from Bakerfield, there are also enough options for dinner. Communication via the Airbnb app and check-in worked without any problems. The bed was very comfortable and it was an absolutely quiet area. Price-performance ratio absolutely fine! Thank you very much Florencia

    Thorsten2020-03-03T00:00:00Z
  • Place was perfect for my situation and would recommend to any traveler in or through the area.

    Shawn2020-01-17T00:00:00Z
  • This place is so clean and cozy! I would definitely recommend this private studio room!

    Zoe2020-01-12T00:00:00Z
  • Florencia’s place was clean, had great amenities, and overall felt like a perfect little home away from home! She kept very well communication with me and made my first Airbnb experience very pleasurable! 10/5 stars if I could!

    Jelani2020-01-08T00:00:00Z
  • Very comfortable enjoyable stay

    Caroline2020-01-05T00:00:00Z
  • Florencia's is great! It's easy to check in, no key hand off since they have passcode entry, and a nice private stay. Lots of great mexican food places nearby! For the discerning buyer, two potential drawbacks might be these: 1 twin bed, 1 queen (my dad and I were traveling and are both over 6 foot). The other is that the neighbors dogs bark, not loudly, but if YOU have a dog (like I do) they might bark back and keep you up at night. Great stay overall, great value, coffee and streaming services provided for free, I love the passcode entry. One of my best airbnb experiences!

    David2020-01-04T00:00:00Z
  • Great stay! I had my own room with 2 beds, a couch, a bathroom and shower, a fridge, and a TV. I was impressed with the whole place especially because I like to have things private when I travel. I would stay here again if I’m traveling through the area again.

Close to Rabobank(Mechanics Bank) Arena, Fox Theater, Hwy 58, Hwy 99, public parks, ice skating, city swimming complex, movies, downtown, restaurants, nightlife. Large studio. Completely private entrance with covered parking space. Full-size working kitchen with dining table. Walk-in closet with hangers for storing clothes, luggage, etc. Wi-fi and cable TV. Good for couples, families who don't mind sharing space, solo adventurers, & business travelers.
A spacious studio. We try to stock the casita with surprises, many sourced from local vendors. You may find Pistachios grown here in Kern County in the kitchen, or locally made beauty products in the bathroom, or perhaps a few local craft beers in the refrigerator. There is almost always at least one special treat to delight you.
Our neighborhood is not a typical suburban community. It offers historic homes, a lovely park that offers free orchestra concerts on summer Sunday evenings, and we are nearby (by car or bike) to a sports complex and entertainment center. That said, this is a mixed cultural and diverse area, with wide variances in socio-economic standings. Everything from Mansions to Apartments are present here. If you have an issue with diversity as described you may not feel comfortable. GOOD STUFF: Swimming, Ice Skating, Hockey, Movies, Theater, and Concerts are all nearby. Very close is great Mexican food, a craft beer pub/restaurant, the usual fast food options, Dewar's Ice Cream (featured on the food network), and two Starbucks are both a quick drive or long walk away. Downtown is also very close and has a vibrant scene of local coffee shops, local bars, and local eateries.
  • Really great quiet clean place with a kitchen. It was just perfect for us.

    Jill2020-03-20T00:00:00Z
  • On our way to Joshua Tree, Jennifer’s sweet casita is the perfect stopover- it will be our go to from now on!

    CHRistine2020-03-19T00:00:00Z
  • Jennifer place was perfect for our overnight stay. It was clean, comfortable and we'll stocked. Very responsive host. Highly recommended.

    Jean2020-03-18T00:00:00Z
  • Jennifer’s place was amazing! Very private spot on a beautiful street, the place has everything you need and more. Comfortable beds and a great host will definitely be back!

    Sam2020-03-16T00:00:00Z
  • Such a cute & cozy place and I loved Jennifer’s special attention to details. She even wrote my girls a birthday card and had a special gift for them upon arrival. 💕 The entire experience exceeded my expectation and I’m quite picky. 😉

    K.T.2020-03-10T00:00:00Z
  • Private, cozy, and wonderful place to stay. Lots of thoughtful touches went into this place, very clean and well-kept. Will definitely be back!

    Kevin2020-03-08T00:00:00Z
  • Amazing place to stay and very clean. Casita Naranja is terrific!

    Brian2020-03-06T00:00:00Z
  • My partner and I loved staying here! We mostly cooked in the kitchen (which was fully equipped with pots/pans/plates/utensils) rather than eating out, but the location is nearby a lot of great restaurants in the downtown area. The fridge also had a variety of food in it - some things I'd never even tried before! It was quiet at night and the private parking made coming and going super easy. Most importantly, the unit itself felt like a home. This was my first time booking with Airbnb and Jennifer made the experience enjoyable and easy, answering any questions I had promptly and kindly. I would be happy to book with her again! Can't thank her enough. :) 10/10!

  • Roger's place had outstanding amenities, and he was a very welcoming host

    Taylor2020-03-13T00:00:00Z
  • Great place to stay if you’re driving through Bakersfield or are pretty low maintenance. Upon arrival the space was very clean and had a lot of thoughtful touches throughout. Keep in mind that it is an upstairs unit and can be challenging if you have heavier luggage. Other than that we would absolutely stay again.

Our cool comfortable one or two bedroom/bath with private entrance is secluded on 2 acres. With a solar-heated-indoor swimming pool and workout equipment, you can exercise, relax or walk to the deer park one block away to enjoy sightings of wildlife. HIKER FRIENDLY !!
This is a perfect place to rest and relax when traveling between Southern and Northern California or traveling to Sequoia and Yosemite. With the ideal four seasons, you have California sunshine along with winter's light snow. My guests have access to most of the house. They tend to be very polite and respectful....my favorite kind of guests. The house is 4,000 sq. ft of comfortable space located nearly a mile high. A great view of the city lights at night. We are 7 minutes from the freeway, restaurants, grocery stores, and the only Starbucks in town. All of my guests have been respectful and fun to share my home with. It's been a pleasure meeting and getting to know every one of them.

Welcome to Harmony Hills! A one bed, one bath guest suite nestled high in Wofford Heights, minutes from Isabella Lake, surrounded by beautiful scenery! Easy access to the Sequoia National Forest, Trail of 100 Giants, and the wild and scenic Kern River. Perfect for guests in town to sightsee who need a secure, private place to lay their head. Enjoy the lake view during the day or clear starry night sky from the front porch and watch for wildlife in the morning from the backyard patio!
A private guest suite (bedroom and bathroom with it's own, secured entrance) on the back end of a gorgeous A Frame home in Wofford Heights. The front of the home has a spectacular view of Isabella Lake and the Scodie Mountains and your patio looks out into the backyard which is booming with wildlife year round. The room comes complete with mini fridge, microwave, hot plate, coffee maker, plates, bowls, cups, utensils, shampoo, soap, towels and more - everything you need for a comfortable night's stay, even Netflix, Hulu, Prime Video, Disney + and a Roku TV are included for your enjoyment! We do our best to clean with gentle, environmentally friendly cleaning products and provide earth conscious soaps and shampoos. We do recycle so if you would like to set any aluminum cans or glass or plastic bottles aside, that would be great! There is a dedicated CRV container by the blue trash bins. Also, feel free to use our compost roller in the backyard for any food scraps! Erica and her family are my tenants who live inside the main part of the home. She does the housekeeping for the room and she is usually available if you need assistance or there is an emergency. A solid deadbolt locked door seperates your space from their's and they will give you your privacy, please show them the same respect. Her phone number is posted on the wall if you need help and I am also available to answer questions via telephone or Airbnb. She also usually has some fun handmade clay creations for sale in the house. If you feel like shopping, just message her and she will bring them right to your room! To see examples of her work, check out her Etsy page (there are business cards in the room) or find her on Instagram @krazydazey The room is self check-in so arrive whenever you like and let yourself in via the instructions you will receive after booking. There are small, active children in the home and you will hear noise throughout the day as you would in any home with a family and children. Night time is usually pretty peaceful, the family is usually in bed early but please note that they are early risers (they are usually always up before 6am) so if you are a very light sleeper, please keep that in mind. Running the fan in the bathroom, the television, heater or sound machine are all good ways to block out noise from inside the rest of the house. Their kitchen/living room is on the other side of your wall and the bedrooms and bathroom are upstairs, to give you an idea of the layout. You may see them outside and will definitely hear them through the walls but otherwise you will have 100% privacy - make yourself at home!
Just under two miles to Isabella Lake. 10 minutes to Kernville. 20 minutes to Greenhorn Summit, and just over an hour to the Trail of 100 Giants! Then entire area is surrounded by the Sequoia National Forest and all the Kern River Valley has to offer. Minutes down the hill is the Reel Cinema, a charming little unique theater as well as some other local stores.
  • What a steal! Tucked away halfway up a mountain, the room had a surprising amount of amenities in such a relatively small (but cozy) space, including granola bars, coffee, microwave popcorn, etc. Philip and Erica make sure that you have everything you need, not just to sleep but in case you wanted to cook a meal (as we ended up doing), or enjoy their backyard.

    Galen2020-03-19T00:00:00Z
  • The space was amazing, Erica goes over and beyond to make your stay comfortable. We had all the amenities we could want, the room was really clean and had thoughtful touches. Wofford heights is a cute little town and we were really happy we made a stop for a night!

Step back in time with all the modern comforts of home. We both work in the arts and have tried to decorate and furnish this place to match the taste and feel of the construction. The hot tub is a bonus!
Soak in the hot tub and enjoy its powerful jet massage. Shoot some hoops in the back or enjoy some drinks or dinner in the romantic covered dining area.
The Oleander-Sunset neighborhood is one of Bakersfield’s earliest gems and you will be surrounded by some truly historic and incredible homes. Downtown adjacent, you will be close to Hwy 99 and Hwy 58 and just a few minutes from all that downtown has to offer: Rabbobank Arena, Fox Theater, Padre Hotel, Bakersfield Museum of Art, Dewar's Ice Cream, renowned Basque restaurants and antique stores, cinemas, ice skating, etc. Take the kids to expansive Beale Park, just two blocks away, though if you are like us, you won't want to leave this space.
  • We loved the interior, the look of the charming little house and of course the backyard with basketball court and hot tub. It was amazing and we‘d definitely come back!!

  • Best Air bnb we have stayed in! The house is beautiful with plenty of charm. The style if the interior is great and plays to the overall style of the house. The house was clean and it was easy to use all amenities the place offers. The backyard and front yard are magazine quality and we can’t wait to go back to Bakersfield just to stay in the house again!

We live in a private road community, any traffic is rare, which allows for wonderful walks or exploring hikes. The town of Tehachapi has several events and attractions such as the Tehachapi loop, the vineyards, an ostrich farm, quaint shops and all different types restaurants. They also host the Tehachapi mountain festival, Apple festival and the gran fondo, a huge bicycle race in Sept. Summer months the farmer's market is in town every Thursday. We also have a list of some great restaurants in town.
  • I had a great stay during my road trip. I felt so good and all the nature around were make me feel so grateful. Lovely hosts. One of my best AIRBNB experience so far.

  • Angela’s space is an incredible getaway for those hoping to get away from the craziness of LA without having to travel too far. The house is spacious, stylish, clean, and conveniently located right off the highway. Angela is also very accommodating and a great communicator! Would recommend to anyone.

  • Amazing space & amazing host! Very much enjoyed my stay

    Mike2020-02-13T00:00:00Z
  • The house is the perfect size whether you're by yourself or with a guest. Everything was clean, neat, and ready for me when I arrived. The fireplace in the master bedroom is wonderful and creates such a cozy space. The master bed is so comfortable, and the jetted tub in the bathroom is such a nice way to relax. There is only one TV in the house and it's in the guest bedroom, but I know I wasn't there to watch TV so it was fine with me. The house has character and is a little quirky, but it made it feel much more genuine. The kitchen has everything you need to make what you want, or just have simple breakfasts before heading out for the day. Location is literally in the middle of the tiny town of Fraizer Park, 5-10 min walking distance to the grocery store, pizza place, pharmacy, and even a dollar general. Driving to Fort Tejon only took 10 min and the entire area is so beautiful to explore! It's a perfect little getaway cabin! I'm so glad I booked this location and will be staying here anytime I can visit the area again.

Enjoy your front row seat as deer stroll past the windows of your tiny home! The “Playhouse” is an eco friendly, 100% solar home. It has a loft with a comfy queen sized bed, a private bathroom with shower, and tons of windows to enjoy the many gorgeous views!
Spirit Walk is a completely private and secluded property nestled in the beautiful foothills of the Sequoia National Forest. This magical property is set among oaks and pines and feels like a million miles away, yet it is only a 3 hour drive North from Los Angeles.
There are hiking and mountain biking trails nearby and great rock climbing. The Kern River offers world class river rafting & fishing. The area is famous for seasonal wildflowers and our bird watchers come from all over the world to spot the many species that live here. The historic town of Kernville is just 8 miles away. There is a General Store just 2 miles away, and a Supermarket 8 miles away.
  • An amazing place to stay in a stunningly beautiful part of the world. Imagine the best campground you've ever stayed at, then renting out the entire thing. A truly unique property and a great experience. Hope to return soon!

    Adam2020-03-15T00:00:00Z
  • We love the Kernville area and have stayed several times in other Airbnbs up near Wofford Heights. All have been nice, but we love John's place the absolute most and hope to stay there every time we visit from now on. This campground and tiny house are lovely, sustainable and so welcoming. John was incredibly helpful and communicative about our resources, and the amenities are more than we could ever need. Our stay was wonderful and we hope to be back very soon.

  • Hidden gem in a beautiful area. Highly recommend.

    Emmanuel2020-02-09T00:00:00Z
  • Had an incredible time at John's place. The house is adorable and the surrounding area is so serene--the perfect off-the-grid getaway. Lots of beautiful wildlife and gorgeous views of the sunrise/sunset, all with the background noise of the creek. John was super helpful and has added so many thoughtful hidden gems and touches throughout the property. Close to restaurants/Lake Isabella--looking forward to staying again!

    Ali2020-01-26T00:00:00Z
  • John was very warm and hospitable. He was thoughtful and accommodating to needs we might have. We spend 3 nights at the Playhouse. You really do get an off-the-grid feel. The location was beautiful and secluded, with lots of trees and a creek nearby. The playhouse itself was clean, well-kept and comfortable. It seems like he built the house with the direction of the sunrise/sunset during the different seasons in mind. The windows in loft bedroom provided nice view of the mountains, where we were able to see the sunrise/sunset. We can hear the creek nearby, which was only a couple of minutes’ walk away. We saw a family of deer that lives on/near the property. On a couple of occasions, we even saw a deer looking in at us through the window. At night time, we built a fire and roasted marshmallow while looking at the star-filled sky and part of the Milky Way. It felt like we were backpacking out in the mountains but in luxury with all the amenities. This was a great place to unwind, relax and reconnect with nature. Overall, we really enjoyed our stay and definitely plan to come back.

    Selina2020-01-21T00:00:00Z
  • Our stay was truly amazing and what a better way to spend a few days off the grid than here where the views are stunning and there is so much to do outside. John and Debbie were both amazing hosts and very attentive when we had questions about anything. Our stay couldn’t have been better to be honest. The playhouse and area were very well kept, the grounds were beautiful and our experience was great. We loved going to the creek each morning with our coffee then cooking breakfast outside after sunrise. We lit the tiki torches each night and made dinner outside then sat by the fire looking at the stars. We found really great hikes nearby and the town nearby has a lot to do as well. We will definitely be back!

    Lindsay2020-01-01T00:00:00Z
  • John was incredibly communicative and hospitable throughout our 2 night stay. They playhouse is perfect for a “glamping” experience. You can see the mountains from the loft upstairs, where we watched the sunrise and sunset both nights. The outdoor kitchen is well appointed and had everything we needed to cook meals in. A very special place, would come back anytime we’re in the area again!

Very private area. Only 1 part time neighbor on our street!
  • We went during the perfect time. It snowed 2 days prior and left a beautiful light blanket to enjoy. This place is inviting and tranquil. We grilled during the night and drank coffee on the nicely furnished patio in the morning. The pond is a zen touch. We also took a hike recommendation from the host's binder and had a wonderful time. Would definitely book again.

    Joann2020-03-19T00:00:00Z
  • This place was great, it's tucked away in a remote mountain town, but complete with all modern amenities. There is plenty of hiking in the immediate area. Alecia was incredibly responsive and we've already recommended this place to many of our friends. If you are traveling for an extended stay, we would recommend visiting a grocery store on your drive in because this location is a little secluded, but there is a full kitchen.

    Luke2020-03-15T00:00:00Z
  • A very nice Airbnb. With amazing views and a lovely cabin, it was super relaxing. I did get some snow on my way here, so I wasn't expecting that. Although, it was beautiful waking up seeing the morning snow. Just a warning, it does become super chilly at the cabin, but there's accommodations to make it warmer when you stay. I would love to come back here and I highly recommend it!

  • My girlfriend and I decided to shack up in a cabin for our anniversary and Alecia’s place could not have been more perfect. We planned on doing nothing but staying inside and relaxing and this was definitely the cabin for it. From the fireplace with seemingly unlimited wood, the full kitchen with coffee maker, the grill outside, the electric heated mattress pad and the comfiest of couches, this place was top notch. We also had a few questions during our stay and Alecia responded each time in record time. We’re already planning our next trip back! Thanks for the great stay Alecia.

    Adam2020-02-23T00:00:00Z
  • We loved this quaint, classic cabin with modern amenities. It felt like a getaway where we could turn off our screens and do activities like reading and doing puzzles, but we still had Alexa, wifi and TV streaming services so we weren't completely removed. The amenities are great! We loved the bathtub, fireplace and outdoor firepit. And Alecia is an excellent and quick communicator. If we have the chance, we would love to come back again.

The ultimate desert "get away from it all" destination. Set on 480 acres and surrounded by public land. Your nearest neighbor is 3 miles away, but you're only 6 miles away from the City of Ridgecrest, CA, a Gateway to Death Valley. Completely off-grid, but with modern amenities. Use the pods as a convenient stop between Death Valley, Tahoe/Mammoth Mountain and the California Coastal cities.
Designed for indoor/outdoor living, the space is small and intimate, meant to celebrate the stark desert environment. You feel the intensity of the sun and wind, hear it when it rains, and experience the quiet solitude of the dark, starry sky.
    No neighbors for miles
  • This property is beyond amazing. It’s definitely secluded but not so much that you’ll be lost. The hosts are extremely quick to respond and nearby should you need their help. They also run a buggy tour and if you even feel like it’s something you may be interested in- just book it. We did the 4 hr tour (they have a 2 hr option as well) and Chris showed us places we wouldn’t have seen otherwise and he was extremely knowledgeable. We didn’t get to be outside as much due to the wind and we weren’t really prepared for that so we ate out in town and then hunkered down in the pods. But I imagine bbqing and the small bonfire pit would make for a wonderful way to wind down and truly relax. Despite the wind, we loved making use of the pods for relaxation. It’s also dog friendly and my dog explored the property as well. I will definitely be coming back to the desert pods in the future!

This adorable bungalow was our first home. When we first moved in in 2004 we renovated the kitchen to suit our joy of cooking. It includes an island with a beautiful top handmade by my husband. We enjoyed sitting on the front porch with the gorgeous shade tree. We know you will, too. We both work in art and design and had great fun going back to our bungalow and designing this space to share with you. Enjoy!
We live in a nearby neighborhood (about 5 minutes away) but are available to answer questions during your visit and offer as much or as little insight as you require for the area. We know some visitors may be familiar with Kern County and others might be experiencing it for the first time so we are happy share what we know. Our home is close to Rabobank Arena, the Fox Theater, Hwy 58, Hwy 99, public parks, ice skating, public swimming pool complex, Maya Cinema, restaurants (The Padre, Mamma Roomba, The Mark, Jin Sushi, 24th St Cafe, Dewar's Ice Cream, De Couer Bakery, to name a few spots) and downtown nightlife. The 3rd bedroom is connected to the 2nd bedroom with a door so it could be used as a room for a child with easy access to parents. It also includes a rocking chair if you have an infant (or if you just like rocking chairs). Additionally there is a crib/play pin available. The play pin can be moved to wherever it would be most convenient in the house. The 3rd bedroom can also be entered into through the kitchen in case it is used as another bedroom for adults. We know many people are travelling through and keep some items in the refrigerator and pantry in case you are hungry upon your arrival. Expect to find coffee and creamer, snacks, breakfast items and popcorn available among other things.
Our neighborhood is one of the oldest in Bakersfield and it's what we love about it. It has mature trees and a downtown living vibe. Many of the homes were built in the early 1900's. There is also a park within walking distance. Please, keep in mind our home is in a beautiful urban neighborhood. It is eclectic and there are mansions and apartments all in the surrounding area.
  • House was lovely :). A lot of character, yet felt just like a home away from home. Highly recommended

My place is cozy and romantic with great sunsets and amazing stargazing . People come here to celebrate anniversaries, birthdays and get away from the city It never gets hot up here, I am at 5500 feet elevation so come and escape the summer heat and hang out in nature. ! I have my own well and the water is also filtered with an additional reverse osmosis for drinking. Everything is non-toxic. There is always organic teas and organic coffees and usually local farm fresh eggs.
This space is unique in that it has all of the comforts of home, but is surrounded by a forest and the beauty of nature. You will get an experience of what it is like to live off the grid and how to utilize solar power and batteries wisely. There are opportunities to learn about gray water, composting, gardening, herb spirals, and basic homesteading. Learn from a professional designer regarding how to design systems that work together seamlessly. I'm happy to give you a free consultation during your stay.
What I love about my neighborhood is that I have no neighbors, other then the four-legged creatures who inhabit the area. The only sounds are the birds, the buzzing bees occasionally and the wind chimes. There is a dog that lives on the property.
  • Lynne's yurt was more beautiful than the photos in the listing. It was extremely cold when we arrived, but Lynne had already set up the fire so we were able to get it going immediately. The yurt heated up and held the heat very well so we were comfortable when we went upstairs to sleep. The yurt was located in a beautiful area. Overall, the entire weekend was quite beautiful and peaceful. I would highly recommend going to visit Lynne's yurt.

    Courtney2019-11-24T00:00:00Z
  • It’s a beautiful stay, the nature around is breath taking. Lynn is very nice and her home it gorgeous, with a great selection of VHS movies!

    Mnason2019-11-17T00:00:00Z
  • This place is for those who want to get off of the grid. The scenery is beautiful. It feels like you are in the middle of the forest. The road to the yurt is dirt at times, but our GPS lead us straight there. We came at night. There are no street lights, but following the GPS we made it there no problem. You may lose service while you’re out there, but Lynne gave us directions which were spot on. I recommend shopping before you head up there, but if you need any supplies there is a Walmart and Albertsons in the main part of Tehachapi. The best part of Lynnes place, of which there are several, has to be the view out of the back porch. You are looking out in to pure nature. There’s not a person to be seen around. You really do feel like you are camping out in the woods. Lynne is on site up on the hill in a trailer, but we never felt like she was intruding. Another one of our favorite things about the yurt is the fireplace which comes stocked with plenty of wood. Lynne even had the first fire already prepped for us. I highly recommend this place to anyone looking for some rest and relaxation out in nature. It really recharged our batteries. Cheers!

    Matthew2019-11-10T00:00:00Z
  • Lynn’s yurt is absolutely gorgeous! Art curated from around the world combined with smart, eco-conscious design makes for a cozy space that is off the grid yet offers comforts of modern life.

  • Living off the grid is a cool, unique experience and the interior of the yurt is gorgeous.

  • Lynne’s Yurt is amazing all around and the environment is great, we would love to go back.

    Frank2019-09-29T00:00:00Z
  • My husband and I had such an enjoyable and relaxing stay at Lynne's yurt! Lynne was easy to communicate with and gave us some great local recommendations. The yurt was beautiful and so much though was put into the details. The location is a bit far from town, but it was so peaceful and quiet that the drive was well worth it. Would definitely stay again!

Charming and cozy vintage cabin with mid century furnishings. Hiking from your doorstep, Lake Isabella 10 minute drive down the hill, with boating, swimming, and fishing, and just a few miles up the road to Kernville, with white water rafting, fly fishing, and great restaurants alongs the Kern river. Skiing a few blocks away when there is snow! Escape the heat and the chaos and come for the peace and quiet.
Great little original cabin in Sequoia National Forest with lots of charm and comfort. Full kitchen and bath with claw foot tub. King and queen sized beds in the loft, both with feather duvets and pillows and high thread count cotton sheets. VHS And DVD collection, along with a record player and a selection of vintage vinyl. Currently no internet. And no phone service for most either. Enjoy the peace and quiet!
Alta Sierra is a village of cabins on the top of greenhorn mountain. The cabin is at about 6000 feet elevation, snow is common in winter. Most of the cabins are vacation properties, so there aren't usually a lot of people around. Shirley Meadows ski resort is just down the street, and the Greenhorn Grill (weekends only) is about a blocks walk from the cabin. More good bars and restaurants can be found in Kernville, and full service grocery store and drug store can be found in the town of Lake Isabella.
  • This place is amazing! If you are looking for a place to unplug from the world.. this is it. Peaceful, quiet and tons of fun. Soaking in a tub, watching the fire crackle, playing records, games and watching VHS were just some of my daily entertainment. I highly recommend the river walk/hike. It was beautiful. Niel is a great host as well. He answered all my questions and offered recommendations. Cant wait to go back.

    Jenny2020-03-09T00:00:00Z
  • This was our second time staying at Niel's cabin, and it was lovely as always. So peaceful and quiet in the wintertime, our dogs loved walking around the neighborhood every day, and we slept great in the toasty loft at night. We love browsing the VHS library and popping in a movie at night, and preparing meals in the kitchen. The only difference on this trip is that we were fantasizing about buying property in Alta Sierra... :-)

    Jenny2020-01-26T00:00:00Z
  • What a wonderful secluded getaway. The cabins full of charming old amenities, which worked out great for my girlfriend and I. The vinyl collection had some surprising gems... From van Morrison to Tom waits. The vhs and DVDs they had on hand kept us very entertained. Comfy beds, good water pressure, and a beautiful view. Make sure you have 4x4 in the winter as some of the access roads can get a bit icy. We had an amazing stay and would recommend this place to anyone looking to get away. Thanks Niel for an awesome vacation.

    Mckenna2020-01-23T00:00:00Z
  • Cozy and charming cabin. Fit for 2-4 people , with a lovely fireplace and fully functional kitchen. Be prepare for winter conditions and to be disconnected from cell service. I loved being disconnected and playing records by the fireplace.

    Dave2020-01-14T00:00:00Z
  • This cabin is very cozy and comfortable. I was there for a quick weekend trip with my family of four. The cabin has a great feel and made us feel at home. The greenhorn restaurant is within eye sight and just a quick walk away (less than 5 minutes) During our trip we had a little hiccup, but Neil (host) was available and accommodating. My family and I loved our time in this cabin and look forward to returning soon.

    Gustavo2020-01-12T00:00:00Z
  • My wife and I had a fantastic stay at Niel’s cabin. Our Bernese mountain dog loved the snow surrounding the cabin and we really enjoyed the nearby hikes. If it is snowy/ice I recommend parking on the street down the hill from the cabin and walking up the steps rather that trying to park in the snowy driveway.

    Brian2020-01-04T00:00:00Z
  • Niel's cabin is a great spot for a quiet weekend away! We loved fiddling with the record player and the old board games, and the view in the snow was stunning!! The cabin is a little tough to get to with the ice on the roads, but Niel was super communicative and gave us a heads up to bring tire chains! All in all, it was a perfect spot for a cozy New Year's!

    Hannah2020-01-01T00:00:00Z
  • Wonderful gem of a cabin. So thoughtfully decorated with all the amenities you’ll need to hunker down and get super cozy. The fireplace was my favorite as it is encrusted with crystals which sort of come to life and glow when you build a fire. Vhs collection was tops! Will definitely be back again. Thanks Niel!

Beautiful house with views of the Sierras and Kelso Valley. This could be your base camp for white water rafting, fishing the Kern River, Audubon's Kern River Preserve, the PCT, Giant Sequoia trees, Red Rock Canyon, or hiking the high country. Note that we are 1 hr 15 min (44 miles) from Giant Sequoia trees at the Trail of 100 Giants. Sequoia National Park is a three hour drive. We are solar powered and have backup generator power to overcome mandated outages. Trail of 100 Giants closed, snow.
The house sits on 6 amazing acres and has modern amenities like WiFi, Blu Ray DVD, cell phone service (T-Mobile best, Verizon good, AT&T not so good -- all available via Wi-Fi calling), air conditioning, central heat, home theater, excellent music system, LCD TV, Dish Network and ROKU.. One queen size bed -- we cater to couples, but the possibility of one or two more guests on an inflatable bed for an additional charge. One full bathroom and a kitchen with cookware and utensils to cook up a storm. You will have an outside covered, screened-in deck with propane grill and an additional open deck to take in the stunning mountain views or the stars and meteorites at night. The space is designed to be self-contained. Views in every direction. No close neighbors or town or traffic. In fact little noise except what nature offers. Ideal for a couple. This is NOT cafe society. We are somewhat remote. Trail of 100 Giants is not currently open -- still winter schedule.
The neighborhood is one of the things that sets this property apart. It is remote and quiet. The parcel is 6.25 acres. In European terms that is 100 x 250 meters; most lots are 2.5 acres. Many guests come for a retreat. The few neighbors you may encounter on a walk or hike are well-mannered and helpful. Hiking trails and quiet roads are available close by and out the door for hiking, cycling or birding. It is Spring now so weather is cool during the night and pleasant during the day. Our approach road is paved and maintained and the address is well marked and easily found. Know that this is a rural area so if you are going to arrive late, it is best to have your food supplies with you already as things are not open 24/7 here. 8 PM for close by; 11 PM half hour drive, earlier on Sunday. This area is remote. We are not in the thick of it; i.e., no Starbucks or other places nearby. Local dining guide provided in the residence and online here. We already have a great reputation for cleanliness but due to the Corona virus we now sanitize before your arrival. Also, we are allowing three days after you leave for our cleaning staff to safely enter. Then we allow three more days more days minimum befor the next booking. This is done to meet CDC guidelines for the life of the virus on various surfaces. While you visit, we ask that you also follow CDC guidelines and California guidelines for social distancing.
  • There isn’t enough I can say about this place, it is magic! I’m a singer songwriter and try to treat myself to a writing, creating, retreat once a year. Michaels place is even better than the pictures, which are great, so, you know where I’m going with this! It’s a perfect space, I felt safe, inspired and even as the news of the Coronavirus was unfolding daily, even hourly, I was counting my blessings to be in such a clean, beautiful (inside and out), calm space with hosts (Michael and his co-host Manny) who were Super, in every sense of the word.

    Claudia2020-03-17T00:00:00Z
  • Sweet, very private cabin in a secluded canyon. The huge screened-in porch with sweeping private view of the hills and meadow was particularly special.

    Jason2020-03-08T00:00:00Z
  • This place is truly special. A spacious screened in porch looks directly out on the beautiful mountains. The inside is very comfortable, great kitchen and well stocked, comfy bed, clean. Definitely as advertised and well exceeded expectations. If your in the area, this is the one you want.

    Forrest2020-03-06T00:00:00Z
  • Amazing location! I can’t say enough great things about this place. (Definitely returning...one weekend was not enough time here)

    Nadiya2020-03-01T00:00:00Z

  • Michael’s property is exceptional. Tucked up on a hill, the house has been built with the landscape in mind: huge windows and French doors open to breathtaking vistas. The interior design is sleek, functional and modern, with incredible aesthetic treats (check out the cutlery!). Wood burning stove, fantastic amenities, and a lovely host. I couldn’t have asked for more. Thank you so much, Michael.

    Emma2020-01-19T00:00:00Z
  • The perfect stay. Michael is a kind, thoughtful, and generous host. The house is on a beautiful piece of land. The layout is great, the interior is cosy and well designed. Great for relaxing indoors or outdoors. Great kitchen for cooking and a BBQ on the screened porch. All around just a great stay and at a great value. Not to mention that incredible nature is a short drive away.

  • The cabin-in-the-woods has been a repeat trip for us 6 times. That should say it all. Go if you really want a break from urban craziness and skier-mania. This is hiking, reading, , log fires, meal cooking, popcorn, games, and puzzles heaven! Also perfect for our dog. If you are depending on internet or landlines -foggetaboutit! When they are up, we view that as a bonus. A treasure, especially when it snows. One final tip - if you can journey here via 101 and Hwy 166, DO IT, even if it takes longer. From 101, Hwy 166 is a simply gorgeous drive. 5 via Frazier Park is more of a close-your-eyes until you get to PMC.

Timothys cabin is in my opinion one of the very best listings anywhere for value, location, serenity, setting, amenities and host communication. • Such a cute little cabin! Candace & Doug are absolutely the sweetest! They provided very detailed directions & information pertaining to the cabin & amenities. I also received a courtesy email regarding the weather conditions prior to our departure because we were expecting snow during our stay. The kids enjoyed the snow & playing with the games provided in the kid’s room. I highly recommend staying at The Tortoise & the Bear! Absolutely perfect for a family or a couple looking for a peaceful vacation or getaway. Thank you so much Candace & Doug your cabin is amazing! :)

  • Chavonne is a terrific hostess, very responsive and thoughtfully provided nice breakfast foods. The house is very clean with cute decorations.

    Mona2020-02-24T00:00:00Z
  • Chavonne and Don's space was spectacular. It was the perfect mix of charming, comfortable, and convenient. Chavonne was very communicative and even brought us fresh bagels (which we ate ALL of because we couldn't help ourselves to a warm, toasty bagel). We initially were not planning on cooking breakfast there, but Chavonne had everything we needed regardless, so we were able to get a delicious meal in before we checked out. We have a 6 month old baby and he loved being carried around the house to look at all of the really cool decorations. Love the ranch theme, and particularly loved the rooster theme in the kitchen. So so cute! It got a 6-month baby stamp of approval too. :) One thing to note is that the bathroom entrance is through a bedroom, but it really didn't matter at all for our party of 4. We would love the opportunity to stay at Chavonne and Don's place again. This is a perfect location and space for when we visit family.

    Mona2020-01-26T00:00:00Z
  • Absolutely amazing stay! Just enough room for us. The bathroom is in the master but it didn’t bother me at all. Much better than sharing a hotel room. The location is great, you get the middle of the desert feel without being far from civilization. The sunrises and sunsets were absolutely breathtaking. The porch has great rocking chairs and a fire pit too. The orchard was bare when we were there but I imagine it looks amazing in the summer months. Can’t wait to return and pick some fruit lol. The home itself has everything you could need for a peaceful getaway. I didn’t even see the groundskeeper at all our entire stay which definitely gives you a sense of privacy. I’d you need Chavonne is only a phone call away and responds very quickly. We had a small issue and she came over to check it out right away! If you need more space check out her home next door. Has 5 bedrooms and the same peaceful setting. I really wish I could post photos and videos because trying to explain doesn’t do it any justice. One of a kind experience

  • My family and I had a great stay at Terry and Militsa's place. The apartment was very nice and my kids loved getting to meet all the animals on the ranch. Would definitely stay again next time we are in the area!

  • Terry & Militsa's place was fantastic. It's nestled in the mountains and has tons of space. They're also great hosts!

  • Terry and Militsa gave us such a warm welcome, and made our stay so comfy and great. We even got a grand tour of the ranch, with its many horses, goats, and other adorable animals. Star gazing there was also breathtaking, especially coming from a big city like Los Angeles.

    Alexander2020-03-09T00:00:00Z
  • This place is AMAZING! The pictures don’t do it justice. The views are unreal. The inside of the cabin is so beautiful and cozy too! I went with a groups of friends for the weekend and we had the best time! A great place to relax and get away. Martha was such a great and helpful host. She and Ani were very quick to respond to any questions and were very accommodating! They helped us to have the best experience. This place has everything you can think of from cooking supplies to games! We will definitely be coming back. I highly recommend if you are looking for a little getaway to relax and enjoy nature’s best!

    Jessica2020-03-08T00:00:00Z
  • I’m not even sure where to start with this incredible space, we were so gutted to leave behind the beautiful view we woke up to every morning. The space was beautifully decorated and everything had been thought through. Martha had even privately messaged before hand with ideas on local hikes for us. The place was easy to check in to and the area itself was wonderful to get to see and within 90 minutes to downtown LA. Thanks so much Martha, I know a few of us will be planning our own trips just to come back here.

    Sophie2020-02-25T00:00:00Z
  • Lovely home in quiet mountain setting. We appreciated the giant windows and had plenty of room for our family. Very nice visit. A few notes that may help others: - We weren’t quite sure what to expect for the bedroom layout from the description. On the main level, there are 2 bedrooms (1 with a queen bed, 1 with 2 twin beds) and a hallway full bathroom. Upstairs, there is a large bedroom with 2 queens and attached full bathroom. We also saw a twin rollaway and a twin daybed that could potentially be used as beds upstairs. Note: you have to walk up a fair number of stairs to get from outside to the main level so make sure your group is able to do this. - Our Subaru did just fine with the driveway. If you are visiting in winter, you’ll probably want all wheel drive for the rest of the mountain roads anyway. - Make sure you sort your trash and individual recycling items as you go. You’ll need to take it to the transfer station on your way out of town and put individual items in the right places (brown glass in the brown glass bin etc). Some of you are probably thinking “of course!” but most of our group hadn’t ever seen anything like this. - Make sure you have directions with you (no cell service and it took a little while to get the WiFi working) - There were plenty of blankets and pillows. Definitely nice for a house like this! Overall, a great place to stay.

  • This is the first time we ever used Airbnb and I have to say we all loved the experience. When we first got to the cabin on Saturday as soon as we walked in the door it started snowing it was beautiful so we stayed indoors the whole day enjoying the cabin. The next day it was sunny and were pleasantly surprised by the beauty of location of the cabin. We look forward to coming back in the summertime and enjoy ing all the other experiences we can have here.

    Hector2020-02-24T00:00:00Z
  • We had the best time at this cozy cabin relaxing, playing games, reading books, and spending time outdoors. It was so nice to get away from technology and spend time together. The cabin is so cute and has so many nice touches. Our son loved playing with the toys and the outside playground. The beds were comfy and Delin was a wonderful host. We would definitely go back!

    Zephyr2020-02-17T00:00:00Z
  • This is the quintessential Air B and B, it's actually a cabin used by the owner's family which is the original intention of Air B and B :)

    Amy2020-01-13T00:00:00Z
  • What a wonderful getaway with my boys. The cabin was warm and cozy. We can't wait to come back in the spring to enjoy it again.

    Andrea2020-01-04T00:00:00Z
  • Great host! Denlin’s cabin was perfect for our New Year get-away without having to travel a long distance out of L.A. Also not having WiFi - disconnect from the world for a few hours was awesome. Highly recommend it!

    Franco2020-01-01T00:00:00Z
  • The location is great, the house is pretty big but still feel cozy. It is as expected very quiet. The neighbors are very nice, and helpful. If you have Tmobile do not expect service, which is from our point of view a plus to be fully disconnected. We wanted some snow, we got some ! 2 or 3 feet in 24 hours. Never seen in the last 20 years !!

    Cyril2019-12-28T00:00:00Z
  • My boyfriend and I had a wonderful time at Denlin's beautiful cabin. We booked a very last minute trip, and Denlin was incredibly responsive and helpful every step of the way. This is an amazing get-away just 90 minutes out of LA that really feels like you're in a different world. Great local hiking just a few minutes from the cabin, with a very small community town about a mile away. Hoping to return in the future!

    Leah2019-11-17T00:00:00Z
  • This cabin truly lives up to the title. It was so cozy! All the antiques and heirlooms really made the cabin feel like a home away from home. Denlin was an awesome host! They communicated very well and gave great detailed instructions on everything. Would definitely stay here again!

  • Alexander’s cabin is a beautiful, rustic cabin. The home was clean, open and welcoming. There were extra blankets throughout to help ensure that everyone stayed warm and cozy. Almost every room in the house had stunning views of the snow capped mountains. The cabin is located just far enough from the highway that you feel far from the hustle and bustle of California but close to all the popular sledding areas. A few tips for future renters: 1. Make sure you download/print your check-in instructions prior to arriving as cell service is pretty much non existent (Verizon seemed to be the only one that worked) 2. The driveway is very downhill and will scratch your vehicle if it’s low, be careful! Angle yourself in! Overall, our family had a wonderful time here and I hope we can make it an annual tradition. Alexander was always helpful and got back to us in a timely manner if we had questions and was willing to work with us on anything we needed. BEDS ARE EXTRA SUPER COMFORTABLE. • Alexander was quick with responding to all of our questions. The place was beautiful and clean. Our group is already talking about coming back for next winter !

    Hung2020-01-12T00:00:00Z
  • This home is beautiful. Driving up the street, the first view of the house is outstanding. It's a residential area, so there are neighbors close by, but it still feels cozy and private. The backyard and the frontyard have an unexpected amount of space for snowplay, including a little hilly area in the front that allows for light sledding and snowball fights and some space in the backyard too, where we built a snowman. :-) The house has a really great vibe, a cozy cabin feel while still feeling modern and clean. Excellent up-keep is evident. The bedrooms are each very nice and cozy and well-appointed, with a closet or a luggage stand and a chair and nightstands in each one. All in all, there are really six sleeping places, though it's listed as 5 bedrooms, due to the loft and the basement bonus room (and the bonus room has a daybed with a trundle and two sofas, which at least one is a sleeper pull-out, but I believe they both were). The loft is hands-down the most beautiful room in the house, but there isn't much privacy, of course, so choose your bedrooms accordingly. All of the other bedrooms are pretty much the same, except the master opens to a very large en-suite bathroom with a shower and a large jacuzzi tub. The kitchen is pretty well stocked, even for large groups. We made multiple dinners and had just about everything we needed (though I think we lacked a frying pan and the baking sheets were on the mini side, so bring those, if you think you'll need them). Toilet paper, cleaning supplies, towels were all plenty for the weekend we were there. The decks are beautiful, though we didn't use them much, due to it being icy/snowy. I'm sure they're lovely in the spring and summer. All in all, this was a great place to have a family get together where we just stayed in for the weekend, got cozy, gathered around the fireplace or in the kitchen playing board-games and just chilling out. Thanks for a great vacay weekend, Alexander! And thank you for being so responsive!!

    Amanda2020-01-06T00:00:00Z
  • A great location and home for a getaway! Alexander was a fantastic host. He was quick to respond weeks in advance up until check-out. The home was clean and ready for us upon arrival with plenty of blankets, towels, utensils, etc. and was quite charming. Great open room for many guests and a beautiful upper room which was quite magical. The beds are very comfortable and the basement is great for watching a movie or playing games. Alexander was flexible when I asked for a later check-out. Hours after I left one of my friends realized he lost his wallet at the cabin. When I contacted Alexander he was very empathetic and told me he'd make his team on high alert, and also told me I was more than able to return to the cabin and look for it (despite having checked out hours earlier). My friend and I returned and retrieved the wallet (phew!) and Alexander circled back to confirm if we had found it.

  • Had a wonderful stay! The place was much more than expected. It was clean, had bunch of blankets ( no need to bring extra blankets or bed sheets). I will defiently stay here again. Highly recommend the place to anyone considering. Also, host was easy to communicate with.

We truly believe that you will not find another cabin more lovingly decorated, each piece acquired one at a time, to complement the beauty of the mountain. It is private and tucked in tall pines but is walking distance to the village. We were recently notified by Airbnb that we received Superhost status for the eighth time in a row. We are so pleased about that as we work to make your stay better each time.
UPDATE: The film we spoke to you about below, Frazier Park Recut, is now available to stream for free on Amazon Prime, Google Play, and Microsoft Store!! We also now have a DVD at the cabin from the producers of the film so that guests can watch it at the cabin! All we ask is that you take good care of it and leave it where you found it. You can watch the cabin you're staying in in an indie horror film! How cool is that. [[We recently heard from a former guest that the film he made at our cabin, "Frazier Park Recut," premiered at the Philadelphia Independent Film Festival on April 28th! How exciting is that. What's even more exciting is that his film won first place in the category of "Horror/Thriller"!! We're very happy for him and hope to be able to meet him when the film opens in LA. :)]] Fall is gorgeous in Pine Mountain Club! Please note: Holiday times require a minimum 2-night stay. Also note: We do not charge a pet fee for your well-behaved and house-trained pets! Look at the radiant couple in our last photo! They just recently got married at the cabin and said their day was perfect. We love that! We own the property adjacent to the cabin, a park-like space available to our guests! It contains a horseshoe pit, horseshoes included; a rock pond with a waterfall, filled in the spring; a picnic table; many seating areas and benches; three covered benches for reading or relaxation; a wishing well; a windmill; walking paths; and decorative garden art. We hope our guests enjoy this new property and new feature of Anya's Cottages. Please contact us if you wish to rent only the outdoor space for day events. Contact us also about special events and retreats. We just hosted our first two weddings at the cabin and look forward to more! There are no cancellations for special events within 60 days. We truly believe that you will not find another cabin more lovingly decorated, each piece acquired one at a time, to complement the beauty of the mountain. Our cabin has been used by more than one film crew and for a number of club retreats. It borders the protected national forest and has a soothing, seasonal stream on the property. It is private and tucked in tall pines but is walking distance to the village where you can shop for groceries, browse for antiques, go to the local coffeehouse, dine, and listen to local music. The cabin has undergone a cleaning and an attractive renovation, which includes spa tile in the main bathroom; a rain shower head; hardwood flooring up and downstairs; a beautiful, full-sized stove, oven, and hood; new programmable coffeemaker; vacuum cleaner, mop, and broom; some new furniture and decorations; new pot and pan set; DVD player; log bed for the second bedroom (now in addition to the one in the master bedroom); IKEA twin bed and mattresses; 6 new pillows--4 down and 2 hypo-allergenic; designer down comforters; and, new fixtures in the downstairs bath. We also have some new deck furniture. But, most importantly: we have hooked up the new propane heater! And, what a difference it makes. Having gas heat in the bedroom/main bath area keeps you more toasty than most of the cabins do which tend to have electric heaters here in PMC. And, upstairs, the wood stove keeps you as warm as you'd like! This 1200+ square foot, two-story cabin has two bedrooms (one with a queen-sized log bed and a twin, the other with a full-sized log bed and a twin); a fold-out bed; a large fold-out sleeping pad; one-and-one-half baths; is paneled in knotty pine throughout and has hardwood floors up and downstairs; and filled with authentic vintage mountain furnishings, antiques, and cozy quilts. It also has several decks where you can relax in pure solitude and privacy and enjoy the tranquil scenery. And, if you simply can't leave all of civilization behind, the cabin comes equipped with free high-speed, broadband wireless Internet access (Wifi). Be sure to visit Fern's Lake which is half a block away. Kids, bring your fishing poles! In winter, you can sled just steps behind the property. The clubhouse in the village offers many activities and amenities, including golf, an outdoor pool (from Memorial Day to Labor Day), a bistro, and a recreation room for the children. Our guests receive use of four free guest passes for their entire stay. Mount Abel (Cerro Noroeste) and Mount Pinos (over 8000 feet) are nearby. Pine Mountain Club also offers a number of festivals throughout the year. The cabin sits at 5400 feet, so come and enjoy the snow in the winter, the bright blue skies and sunshine in the spring and summer, and the colors in autumn. You will not be disappointed.
It is quiet, safe, private, and so very peaceful.
  • Best cabin I have ever lived! If you want to spend a cozy night far away from the hustle and bustle, this is the best place to choose. We would definitely book this cabin again if visiting this area in the future.

  • Marilyn’s cabin is amazing! It’s located in Los Padres National Forest, which made for such a gorgeous drive and rustic, peaceful environment. My boyfriend and I have a crazy schedule, and she was able to work with us and modify our booking so we could maximize our downtime together. The cabin is so cozy, and makes you feel right at home. We loved playing horseshoes in the yard, as well as playing the array of boardgames Marilyn provided. She also has an awesome DVD collection which we took advantage of! There’s an awesome general store nearby which provides a great variety of food (from snacks to healthy, fresh produce and meat). It was such a relaxing, memorable getaway and we can’t wait to return!

  • Like so many other reviews, this cabin was definitely cozy!! Super cool decorations that leveled up the cabin vibes. Easy to find and not too close to neighboring cabins. A few minutes of a walk to the lake, it was 75% frozen so that was a sight to see. There's also this cool small stream that runs behind the cabin. The general store is like a minute drive away. Rooms heat up nice. Marilyn quickly responded to any questions I had. Highly recommend this cabin.

  • This is an incredible place! We arrived in the evening, we woke up to half a foot of snow! The place is extremely quaint, very cozy. We woke up with a snow storm outside so we lit some fire in the fireplace, made hot chocolate and cozied up on the couch. The beds are very comfortable, there is everything in the kitchen, there is bbq on the patio... We had a fantastic time. I would highly recommend the place... unless I am here, because I intend to come back!

We offer 7 bedrooms and a loft with 17 beds for single sleepers; with couples the house sleeps 27 for the typical vacation rental. However, at this Corona epidemic time we offer weekly and monthly rates that are minimum 50% less of our standard nightly rates. We limit the number of guests to 10 unless you are a larger family from one home. The house has vaulted ceilings, 3 fireplaces, 5 bathrooms, large kitchen, BBQ, huge deck over-looking the mountain view & sunsets. Child & dog friendly.
The house is spacious; 3,200 sq.ft. .....modernly rustic......cozy & comfy........ The best house you can find around here for a large group. Everyone gets a bed and don't need to sleep on floors nor couches in common space. Our back yard is large and flat; great for games. There's a playhouse and swing for kids. We offer lots of seating in the front & back yard and on the large back deck. The mountain view and sunsets are beautiful from the deck.
The neighborhood is quiet and only 5 minute walk to the village center and 10 minute walk to the clubhouse, park or lake. Also, there is a hiking trail you can walk to down from the house. There are other trails within a short drive. You'll find trail maps at the house. Activities in Pine Mountain Club include the use of our club house: outdoor swimming pool (summer only), golf course w/ driving range & putting green, rec. room w/ air hockey, ping pong, pool table, video & board games, etc, lounge to listen to music and have drinks & food, 2 tennis courts, yoga, zumba & tai chi classes. We provide 5 guest cards, more can be purchased at the club office for $2/ea. Rec. room takes just one card from the group, but pool requires a card/adult (kids go along without a card). The pool limits 6 adult guests/house simultaneously when it’s busy so that all of the community can equally use it. Our house could fill 1/3 of the max. capacity. Concerts & movies on the greens and 1-2hr/day camps for kids. Everything but golf and classes/camps are free w/ a guest card. Our Equestrian Center offers guided horseback trail rides. Inquire and pay at the club office. The clubhouse is a 10 minute walk or 2 minute drive from the house. There is horseback riding and jousting also in Lockwood Valley (15 min drive) by American Jousting Alliance. And dirt biking (rentals, lessons, trails) in Gorman (30 min drive) by Gorman Motor Sports. Look up their websites. Six Flags Magic Mountain is 1hr drive (they have a separate amusement and water park). Lampkin Park has a sand volleyball court, paved basketball court w/ lights, softball field, running track, nice new playground equipment and climbing wall, gazebo for sitting in the shade, open area for your own games, native plant garden, picnic tables and BBQ’s and restrooms. There’s lots of hiking trails around; I provide info per request and it’s also in our info folder at the house. Two of the trails lead to a waterfall. Ferns Lake is a peaceful place to walk around and see ducks or go fishing. There are no boats nor swimming. Only small toy remote control boats are allowed. The Village Center has shopping, cafes, ice cream shop, post office, hair salons, restaurants & bakery, gym, various festivals, Christian church. For big time shopping, there are Tejon Ranch Outlets off the I-5 just down the hill. There’s Ridge Route museum, a beautiful new library and a skate park in Frazier Park. El Tejon Fort in Lebec is known for its historic battles.

  • Lovely home in a beautiful location. The place is spacious, comfortable, and sparkling clean, it snowed, and we could see every star in the sky. Enjoyed every minute and the entire experience was perfect!!!

  • The cabin had plenty of space for a group of 17. Heidi was incredibly helpful and informative when we encountered some issues on the drive toward Pine Mountain Club. She kept us updated on road conditions, gave useful advice, and remained responsive throughout our stay. The cabin had a well-stocked kitchen and game cabinet. We all enjoyed our time here!

  • This is a great place for a big group. Loads of space to spread out and a variety of bedrooms. The kitchen and living room area are much larger than appear in the pictures too, which was a pleasant surprise. There are an abundance of kitchen tools and dishes, many games as well as kids toys and animals. Heidi was quick to respond and always helpful. We walked to the general store (unfortunately the bakery was closed) and found a bar that serves food with a great view (called the perch). Driving to mount pinos was quick (roads were clear) and we got some snow time in. The place was definitely clean but a little bit aged/rough around the edges but not enough to bother our group of 15 friends. Would love to go back!

  • We lucked out and stayed here with snow! The sleds were wonderful and the kids even played on the swing and in the playhouse.

  • What a lovely place! Location was perfect, house was great & view was wonderful. Room with bunk beds & room with loft were kids’ favorite hangout location. Kitchen had a great layout. Huge dining area/living room served as central hangout place for everyone. Extra chairs & extra everything made it convenient for meal times. Thank you, Heidi, for a wonderful weekend! We hope to come back soon!

  • Cost-effective, convenient location, make a transit stop on the way to San Francisco. Very late check-in, the landlord wrote down the check-in, it was very convenient.
