  • Mary is a wonderful and gracious host. My stay was wonderful and the amenities exceeded my expectations. I would highly recommend a stay at Mary's place to anyone visiting this part of Ireland. I can see why she is a Super host!

  • Mary's home is very much like any bed and breakfast here in Ireland but you are staying in Mary's home as well. It was charming and Mary was very hospitable. If you are not from Ireland you wouldn't believe the scenery from Mary's conservatory. Gorgeous view of the mountains and her cows while you eat breakfast!

  • As the weather was quite cold and also because we have a little baby, Clinton invited us to stay in the cottage across the road as it has central heating. We had a lovely time there, the cottage is so cute, cosy and warm. Perfectly located in a lovely area close to the river. Also there is a small supermarket 2 minutes walk... so handy.

    Mona2020-02-02T00:00:00Z
  • Very special and warm and friendly place to stay!

    Alexandra2019-12-31T00:00:00Z
  • Clinton's cottage was very comfortable, clean and convenient for an overnight stay when we were up for the match in Limerick. Very happy to recommend it for short or long stays.

    Nick2019-12-29T00:00:00Z
  • The cottage is lovely, and Clinton is a very caring host. He was concerned that this apartment would be too cold and offered us his other (warmer) cottage across the street. We kept the one we booked originally; Clinton had the fire going for us when we arrived and we had absolutely no problems staying warm for the evening. A charming old cottage that we would highly recommend!

  • Nice little space right on a corner in the middle of town, easy to locate. Very accommodating with all my questions (tip: Abbey Printing just down the street has postcards), and the guys in the pub were super helpful when I got a flat tire and my phone wouldn't work. Loved watching ManU with them! Was not noisy at all for a Friday night. Great spot if you're getting away from the cities, but close enough to Limerick and Cork for further excursions.

  • John & Mairéad were wonderful hosts, so friendly and welcoming, a warm & perfectly clean home, very quiet & comfortable, with a fresh continental breakfast to set us up for a day on the walking trails. John even gave us a lift up to the trailhead at Ballyhoura which was excellent as it's only about a mile but it's all uphill! An excellent AirBnB.

    Berty2020-01-19T00:00:00Z
  • Absolutely amazing. John is so welcoming and genuine. Perfect for a chat! We met the beautiful animals on the property which was a highlight. The two dogs are friendly and gorgeous. We also had a tour of the paddock next door where we met a miniature pony and some lovely pigs. The cat also says hi! The room was spotless, the house had everything you need for a comfortable stay. If you don't want to meet the animals not to worry they don't have access to the house. Would definitely recommend and will be staying again! Thanks so much John for showing us around. It was wonderful!

Enjoy a truly authentic Irish experience while staying in the Dairy Lodge, on a working dairy farm, with plenty of other animals such as cows, calves, hens, cockerals, duck, dog and cats. Ideal central base for touring Ireland- Cliffs of Moher, Limerick, Cork, Kilkenny, Kerry all within a 90 minute drive. Free WiFi, parking & hot water
The living/kitchen area has a double height ceiling, with double doors and windows over looking the expansive lawn, across the green fields, where grass fed cows graze all day, out to the beautiful Ballyhoura mountains. Sit and gaze out at the rolling mountains, watch the cows come in, with which their milk is used to make the famous Kerrygold butter. The master bedroom has a king size bed, with plenty of space for a travel cot, which can be provided free of charge. Bedroom two has a double bed and two single beds, with a large roof window overlooking the Irish countryside.
The house is situated in the idilic golden vale at the foot of the Ballyhoura mountains, where our grass fed cows graze throughout the day, before their milk is turned into the world renowned Kerrygold butter. There are extensive walking tracks and biking tracks up in the mountains and hills. The lodge is located close to all local amenities where you can enjoy activities like golf, horse riding (lessons arranged), fishing and hill walking. • The house is very nice, large and clean. I recommend the place to everyone!

  • Anne Marie was absolutely wonderful! She has an incredibly joyful energy that we just loved. Excellent communication before and during our stay, tips on local hikes and cafe’s, and just an overall wonderful person to speak with. The location was perfectly out of the way of all the hustle and bustle but close enough to several stores and cafe’s to not seem isolated. The land was stunning and we quite enjoyed the peace and quiet. I can’t say enough good things about Anne Marie and her home. It was all just perfect. I hope to be back in the very near future!

    Carmen2020-03-12T00:00:00Z
  • Great accommodation clean, cosy and comfortable. Home from home, just a shame we couldn't stay longer

    Louise2020-02-23T00:00:00Z
  • I'm not sure how AirBnB defines SuperHost but what I can tell you is that Anne Marie is a superhost. If you are looking for a responsive host who takes care of your every need, look no further than the Dairy Lodge. The house offers beautiful Irish countryside views from the living room and both bedrooms. For Americans used to open floorplans, the combination kitchen/living room with vaulted ceiling will be a plus. The upstairs bedroom was perfect for our three children with three comfortable beds. The working farm is an added bonus and even though we were only there for a short stay, Anne Marie ensured our children had a chance to enjoy the farm animals before we departed. While I don't stay at AirBnBs exclusively, I can say Anne Marie was the best host among the great hosts I have encountered thus far.

    Scot2020-02-09T00:00:00Z
  • This place is absolutely incredible. It was not only an experience of a stay but also of taste. The Dairy Lodge cottage has one of the best tasting milk and foods in Ireland that we've tried and have thoroughly enjoyed their home. It is a MUST to stay and experience the scenic country side for a true irish taste :) thank you again Anne Marie! Sincerely the Taylor's and Friend :)

Situated in a very peaceful location it is one mile to the nearest shop, pub and post office yet just a 15 minute drive from the M8 and one hour's drive from Cork airport. A great base for day trips throughout munster and within easy reach of Mitchelstown, Cashel, Tipperary and Cahir.

Some kindling and a few firelighters will be left for you, but if you need more they can be bought Anglesborough Village shop (and supermarkets) Please note that outdoor fires are strictly prohibited.
This is a quiet area with working farms all around - dairy and sheep. There is a pretty cottage garden at the front of the cottage and a large rear garden with patio space and a big lawn. No-one overlooks the property so it is very private. There is little light pollution so on a clear night it is possible to enjoy stargazing.
  • This was a beautifully located cottage. Perfect for watching the sunrise. We made fires and cooked dinners most nights which felt very cozy. Just as well, it was centrally located to all the places we wanted to go ( Cork, Cliffs of Moher, Kilkenny, Killarney). Would definitely stay here again!

  • Debs place is truly a home away from home. We had wild winds one night and felt perfectly snug and safe. The wood stove was a highlight. Pick up some kindling at the supermarket in town, though. All in all, Deb’s cottage is a perfect place to hide away or a base for exploring the area. The beds are very comfy, the living room cozy. Walking in the area is a real treat; the views around every bend are spectacular. You will not regret staying here.

"The Lumber Room" has two single beds with deep, comfortable mattresses duck feather duvets and plenty of pillows and cushions. This room has a high ceiling with a stunning unique chandelier and plenty of space for two people. There is a desk, chest of drawers and hanging cupboard. There is a large shared modern bathroom with power shower over the bath. Views over the lawn, garden and fields beyond.
A light and airy room over looking the garden
We are located in a quiet, rural location. The village of Emly is a 10 minute walk from us where you will find a grocery store, beautiful church, post office, butcher, school and three pubs. There is no restaurant in the village but the pub offers a sandwich.
  • Possibly the best Airbnb experience you may find in Ireland. Centrally located to many of Ireland’s primary tourist destinations, this country manor is spectacular; from the well manicured gardens and landscaping, to the charming home with happy inhabitants. Melanie and Ken truly go the extra mile to ensure your stay is memorable. And if you’re fortunate enough to stay for breakfast, it’s one you won’t soon forget. Our only regret is not staying longer.

  • Melanie and her husband went above and beyond after our schedule and plans went a bit out of whack. They met our potential nuisance with kindness and understanding. Their home is tucked away in the countryside, and they’ve quite possibly the most adorable doggies in Ireland — Rabbit and Fleur were the perfect button on our stay. They also had a beautiful, friendly kitten that showed up to say “Hello!” (warning, he seemed to like my sister more then the men-folk!). ;) Thank you, Melanie! We’re grateful for making our stay so comfortable!

    Thomas2019-05-19T00:00:00Z
  • It was the perfect place to relax after a very long trip. The most comfortable bed I have slept on on my whole journey and the loveliest family and kids. Thanks Melanie for your wonderful hospitality. Will definitely visit again!

    Schane2018-12-29T00:00:00Z
  • The room is very pretty! The bathroom is extravagant. Melanie was so kind. I love that there was a desk in the room so I could do some writing and reading. This was a great experience! Would love to come again and stay for longer.

    Patrick2018-09-28T00:00:00Z
  • Melanie's place is tranquil and relaxing. Very clean, bedroom was very comfortable and great shower. Enjoyed my stay. Melanie and family are lovely people. Would highly recommend.

    John2018-09-07T00:00:00Z
  • Melanie's house was a lovely get away in the country. Driving up and seeing ponies in the paddock made me really feel like I was staying in a special place. The bedroom was cute and bathroom clean. The house is close to many Castles and can be accessed by car primarily. There is a small shop/grocery within walking distance and a pub close by.

  • The best place to stay!! Don’t miss it!!

  • A wonderful place to stay in the countryside but easy to get to all the towns with the motorway near by. We opened the front door to be greeted by a roaring fire and a lovely welcome basket with all sorts of goodies including a nice bottle of red wine and to our surprise a packet of Biltong, a speciality of South Africa from where we came. There was a food cupboard that also had produce and the fridge had basics like eggs Milk and butter to get you started. Martin is a brilliant host and went out of his way to answer questions and sort out any queries we had very promptly. The duvet on our bed was so warm and snuggly and we enjoyed playing the board games each evening by the roaring fire. We would definitely stay here again and recommend booking.

    Sue2019-09-28T00:00:00Z
  • Martin's place was so quaint and enjoyable. We loved our time in the area and would highly recommend this house. Martin was a fabulous host and took the time to tell us the history of the home and local attractions and restaurants to visit. Great touch having wine, cheese, fresh milk and bread upon our arrival. • Martin’s place was perfect for our family of 4 to tour Munster and visit nearby relatives. The house is very quiet and stocked with excellent books and board games. Martin left us with a gift basket which was much appreciated. The beds were very comfortable with giant duvets and we had the best sleeps of our three months in Europe. I would highly recommend the place to anybody who is looking for a genuine Irish rural experience.

    Colm2019-08-24T00:00:00Z
  • Martin could not have been more welcoming and helpful to us during our 2 night stay at his ancestral farmhouse. He introduced my boys to his cows and they were enraptured. I was not expecting the hamper of treats on the table when we arrived- a very generous touch. We had a busy couple of days including trips to Cobh and Fota Island (45 minutes away), caves at Middleton (well worth a visit), and beautiful Duneraile Park (15 minutes). Thanks Martin- we’ll be back.

    Caroline2019-08-19T00:00:00Z
  • If you are looking to sleep at an authentic Irish farm house and moreover meet an authentic Irish man of the land, an iconic farmer, then this the place for you and your family. Martin is an exceptional host and a great person. The kids loved watching him feeding the cows. And I enjoyed the conversations with him. Great location. Great experience. Highly recommended.

    Nimrod2019-08-17T00:00:00Z
  • Highly recommend!!! Everything about this place is the perfect Ireland experience.

    Linda2019-08-13T00:00:00Z
  • Hands down one of my favorite places that we stayed on our trip to Ireland. A perfect Irish home built in the 1800’s and where our host grew up. It is still a working farm. We absolutely loved staying there and meeting Martin and his family. Was one of the highlights of our trip. ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️

    Leanne2019-08-02T00:00:00Z
  • Ivy Cottage is a fantastic traditional Irish home, which is so well placed for seeing a lot of Cork. The house had everything we needed and Martin had left a welcome basket with some basics to get us started (and a lovely bottle of wine!). Martin was a fantastic host, even giving us a tour of his farm (the highlight of my girls holiday) and answered all our questions about the house quickly. Would fully recommend staying at Ivy Cottage!

  • Brilliant hosts, lively and entertaining. Great location for exploring Ballyhoura area, cosy house and lovely roses all around.

    Dilys2019-07-22T00:00:00Z
  • I stayed just one night at Josie´s place but that was enough to feel that she and Alan really look after their guests. The moment I arrived she asked if I planned to have dinner, as it was already past 6pm, I said yes and she immediately called the local restaurant Molly's so they were aware I was having late dinner. I had a 3 bedroom for myself and there was no other guest, all clean and comfortable. The house is well located, quiet and with beautiful views over the nearby hills. Breakfast was perfect, a well served Irish breakfast, fresh juice and bread. Totally recommend the place for one or more nights and enjoy the Irish country field.

  • We spent three nights in Josie's BnB in November. Josie and Alan (and Jonjo the cat) were so welcoming when we arrived at their home offering us plenty of tea and barmbrack. The room was lovely and clean, the bathroom spotless and the bed was really comfortable. There were plenty of sockets to charge our phones and the wifi was fast and reliable. They kept us well fed with a lovely hot breakfast each morning and were full of advice when we asked for tips on the local area. Their home is less than five minutes walk to the village which has a shop, a restaurant, a takeaway and seven pubs! Hope to be back for another stay next year. Gary & Holly

  • This AirBnB is gorgeous - very spacious and sparkling clean. There were four of us who stayed the night and we were really impressed with how clean and airy the home was, and we had a lovely stay. I would love to go back and stay longer! Ashling was lovely and very helpful - we were able to park on the street overnight with no issues.

    Anne2019-08-07T00:00:00Z
  • A little gem hidden away in a little village with a lot of character, history and friendly people. Ashling and her family were close by and very welcoming. Great space, there are stairs to the bedrooms and bathroom but manageable steps for our 78yo mum. Really clean, lots of hot water, bright & airy and can have the windows open, courtyard off the kitchen, everything needed for a stay (we had 3 days) is provided. On the Main Street but can’t hear the traffic, supermarket, coffee shop, pub and much more only a few steps away. Highly recommended.

    Alison2019-06-29T00:00:00Z
  • My in-laws stayed for 4 nights and as first time visitors to ireland, Aishlings home made a wonderful impression, spotlessly clean, timely communication, and the welcome basket was a really lovely touch, everyone thoroughly enjoyed staying there, it’s hotel like, and like plenty of other reviewers, I’d highly recommend it.

    Robert2019-05-29T00:00:00Z
  • Ashling responded right away as our group requested this booking same day on our travels through Ireland. She met us within hours to greet us. Her home was spacious and comfortable and the food left for breakfast was such an appreciated touch. In the heart of town with several pubs and shops. We had a great stay.

    Erin2019-04-28T00:00:00Z
  • Ashling’s place was in the heart of Kilmallock. It was the perfect get away from check in to check out. Everything was very accurate and simple. Ashling greeted us personally and supplied the flat with the most thoughtful welcome basket. The flat was just so spacious, cosy and clean. The fact that it was in the center of town, so shopping was simple, the park across the street was grand. You couldn’t ask for more when visiting kilmallock. You couldn’t ask for more out of hosts when booking and Airbnb. So I would more then recommend Ashlings flat, and I hope to be lucky enough to book again in the future.

At Ballygriggan House, we offer you a beautiful retreat away from it all. It is quiet, comfortable and peaceful staying here whilst the two bedrooms come with fabulous views. We are lucky to live between 3 mountain ranges: Ballyhouras, Galtees and Nagles. Included in your stay is a continental breakfast, which will be waiting for you in the dining room downstairs. This room can also be a quiet living area if needed. Dogs are welcome downstairs and we have water bowls available. Welcome Fáilte
The Blue Room can be a family room if needed. It has a super king size bed and a bunk bed. It is very light and spacious, includes an ensuite bathroom (with both bath and shower) and a living area with TV and wifi. The Yellow Room is a large, bright and cheery room which has a king size bed and a day bed which can be used as a small double if needed. It is also has an ensuite with a shower. Additionally, there is a small living area with TV and wifi. Downstairs is the dining room/living area and the main entrance to the house. This is where the dogs can sleep if you have them. You can also leave wellies, hiking boots, coats etc in the main entrance when you come in. The guest area is separate to the main house so on occasion, you might hear our dogs getting excited or family members staying but this would be day time only.
Ballygriggan House is part of a farm estate and is situated on a hill facing Annes Grove Gardens (OPW). Its nearest village is Castletownroche, approximately 2.3 miles away. You can walk there in about 45 mins or drive there in 5 minutes! The village is very pretty with a river and the famous Blackwater Castle. It also has a couple of pubs, a well stocked shop, a butcher, a chemist, a post office - most of the amenities one could ask for! Additionally, we are a 'stone's throw' away from Annes Grove Gardens, which is now owned by the OPW and is set to become a big tourist attraction. These are some stunning gardens to explore. We are also 4.5 mi away from Doneraile House and Wildlife Park, which is extremely popular. There is also a fabulous cafe there called The Town House ( I strongly recommend it). Other places to eat would be the Thatch and Thyme in Kildorrery (3.6mi from here). I can also recommend Springfort Hall near Mallow (7.7mi from here) for lunch or supper. Longueville House (11 mi from here) is a delicious place too but expensive. They grow a lot of their own food there and it is quite a treat. Lastly, you have many places to go in both the towns of Mallow and Fermoy. We live in between the two towns and they have everything you might need. There are plenty of things to do near us: Walking and hiking in the choice of three local mountain ranges Mountain biking Fishing (we are on the Awbeg for trout fishing) Salmon fishing on the Blackwater Kayaking Canoeing Swimming Ballyhass Lakes (water and outdoor sports) Horse riding Blackwater Eco Tours Lismore Castle Mitchelstown Caves
  • We had such a lovely stay despite the challenging times. Georgie and Aaron were incredibly welcoming and helpful hosts, and the accommodation was clean, spacious and comfortable. We'll definitely be staying again when we're visiting this part of the country.

  • This is such a perfect little place to get to know Ireland and get away from it all. We were moving to Ireland with our 5 month old baby and cats and couldn't have had a better experience. There was freshly baked bread, butter and fresh flowers waiting for us when we arrived. Maurice and Barbara were fantastic hosts giving quality help with a nice balance of privacy but checking in every once in awhile to make sure everything was wonderful. The apartment is really tastefully decorated and had everything we needed. Anything we didn't have they were happy to help us figure it out, which is saying a lot since we were there a full month. The little garden and pond is like stepping into a storybook while the location is a fantastic balance of remote yet close to amenities. Doneraile is a great little town with a fantastic park great for walks and stroller friendly, plus Mallow is really close and the location is easy to get to the major highways. We would highly recommend this AirBnB to anyone coming to Ireland.

  • The house was wonderful! Perfect for an overnight stay. Barbara was an amazing host- helpful, friendly, she provided us with information about the area, and her kids played with ours to give us a few minutes of downtime. The house was immaculate and roomy, heated floors helped take the chill out of the cold rainy night, and the fresh eggs were a welcome treat. Our only regret is that we didn't have longer to stay, but we're planning on visiting again on our way back up. We couldn't be happier with our visit!

  • Lovely cottage, well equipped in beautiful countryside. Super warm and friendly hostess. Nearby park in Doneraile is one of finest parks I have seen. Beautiful walks

  • Beautiful house with plenty of space. Barbara was very welcoming and made our stay in Cork very comfortable ❤️ Would definitely recommend and will be returning 😊

  • On Saturday 26th October, 2019 we enjoyed a one night stay at Rose Cottage. We can honestly say that the only regret we had when staying at this amazing place was that we couldn’t stay longer! Barbara far exceeded any picture we may have had of the perfect host and ensured the fridge was stocked with essentials and that there were little treats around the cottage for the kids, they even came out and rescued us when we got lost on the way! The kids loved helping walk the dog, the cottage was immaculate, and the rural location was spectacular! In our opinion, a five-star Airbnb not to be missed!

    Melannie2019-10-27T00:00:00Z
  • The house was really great. Barbara prepared a lot for us, which we were happy to see. In the fridge were fresh eggs and some more. Bread was already there and even cookies and chips were prepared for us. Barbara is really a great host! The house is in a very quiet location and perfect for relaxing after a long day. A car is needed here. I really recommend it!

    David2019-10-14T00:00:00Z
  • Barbara has thought of everything that a guest would need. From a fridge with essentials to cookies on the coffee table. There were board games for families and a big tub for relaxing. She was very kind and welcoming. I wish we could have stayed longer than 1 night and had her join us on the patio for a beer

    Devin2019-10-12T00:00:00Z
  • Barbara is an amazing host who has thought of everything. Her home is delightful.

    Marie2019-10-08T00:00:00Z
  • FANTASTIC! Barbara is a super host! The accommodation was spotless. It was warm and cozy during our rainy weather stay. Barbara put a lot of thought and care to ensure we had everything we needed. Thank you!! We look forward to our next visit :-)

Our cottage is located in Ballinacourty , outside Kilfinane Co Limerick. It has been recently renovated to make it very cosy and welcoming. It is conveniently located if you wish to visit the Ballyhoura region, including the well known biking track.
The cottage has been fully modernised with all mod cons, and when you are not walking the Ballyhoura region, you can relax and enjoy the view from the patio beside the cottage. The cottage is wired for SKY TV and also has WIFI ( But unfortunately not good enough for streaming). A wood stove in the main living area when lit makes the cottage very cosy and welcoming and this can be supplemented with oil fuelled central heating.
A very rural neighbourhood with very friendly neighbours who will be sure to sell you a few eggs .... A local garage is situated quite close in case the car breaks down or you need tyres to be pumped. Daly's pub which opens late in the evening is situated nearby and can be reached via a 20 minute walk
  • great value, beautiful area

    Eliza2019-08-18T00:00:00Z
  • Great spot for a weekend in Ballyhoura. Everything was spot on. Thanks Donal!

    Ronan2019-05-06T00:00:00Z
  • Donals cottage is in a great location to tour around the ballyhoura area, the house is extremely Cosy with great facilities. It’s like a home away from home.

    Denis2019-04-22T00:00:00Z
  • We stayed 2 nights at Donals cottage, which was restored beautifully. Charming and cosy, wood burning stove, everything well equipped. Mezzanine was lovely and cosy, lots of books to browse through. Lovely views from the cottage also. Communication with Donal was fast and easy, as well as seamless check in and check out! Would have no hesitation recommending.

    Susan2019-02-24T00:00:00Z
  • The cottage is much more spacious than it looks from the outside and is really well equipped. It was very comfortable & cosy and had obviously been lovingly restored. It's a handy base for walking in the Galtees or Ballyhouras. It's on a quiet country lane but is only a few minutes drive to the shops in Kilfinane. A village pub is Ballyorgan is close too. We were delighted with the place.

    Clare2018-09-16T00:00:00Z
  • this is a really lovely space, cosy and with a great well equipped kitchen

    Rita2018-08-17T00:00:00Z

My place is good for couples, solo adventurers, and business travellers. 10 minutes from Mitchelstown where there is excellent amenities such as an 18 hole Parkland golf course, many nice restaurants to dine and Mitchelstown Caves. Also 10 minutes from the Cork \ Dublin Motorway. 15 minutes from the beautiful Glen of Aherlow.

  • Mary is a fabulous host, her house is warm and comfortable. I was in a single room, but it was almost a double size bed, a nice spacious room. Breakfast (cereals, yoghurt, fruit, toast, coffee, juice) set us up perfectly for a day of walking. Mary went above and beyond, with kind offers of lifts in & out of the village. A great AirBnB experience.

    Susan2020-02-21T00:00:00Z
  • Mary is an outstanding host. Full of local knowledge and great for a chat. The rooms were perfect and spotless. Mary went out of her way for us yet made it look effortless. We will definitely be back.

The House at Ballinahinch is about 100 years old and was originally two very small farm workers cottages. About 10 years ago the property was modernized and two bedrooms and an extra bathroom added. So now it’s a traditional 2 bedroom cottage with a few mod cons and features. It is in a small Hamlet with a few houses that are mainly farms but a few modern homes have sprung up. The house is very private especially at the back. You are not overlooked and have no immediate neighbours. The surrounding area is rolling hills and is great walking country and nearby Kilfinnane is a walking centre and the local office can give you lots of information about where to go and what to do.
  • We enjoyed a week in this old traditional farmhouse renovated and offering modern comfort. at 5 each found his space, we particularly appreciated that there are two bathrooms. The library and the discotheque ( of very good taste) bring a not insignificant supplement. Calm is also on schedule, which was very conducive after our trips to limerick, tipperany and querry. John responds quickly to our messages when asked. On site Joan is also available when needed. thanks to you two

    Laurent2019-08-03T00:00:00Z
  • John was a gracious host that communicated with us quickly and clearly when needed. This old peculiar home had some great perks. It felt like camping out at an old cottage, which provided quite the relaxing experience. The small touches, like fresh cut roses in some rooms, made us all feel so welcome. The gardens were beautiful and location in the countryside made our stay everything we hoped for with our first visit to Ireland. I recommend this home to those that are okay with rustic cottage experiences and enjoy the serenity the country provides.

    Carly2019-07-02T00:00:00Z
  • Johns property has lovely characteristics of an old style cottage. Beautiful location and stunning scenery around. John has been amazing with communication all the way through the booking process and Joan was very helpful upon arrival. Thank you for letting us stay in your beautiful property.

  • Coziest little cottage. Absolutely lovely stay. John and Joan are very attentive and reply quickly to questions. Would absolutely stay here again.

    Jakub2018-08-08T00:00:00Z

  • I cannot reccomend this gem of a place enough. Despite being closed due to worries about COVID-19, Clinton came to our rescue and opened up his beautiful cottage so we could stay and my wife could attend her mother's funeral. The accommodation was perfect and gave us everything we needed. Thank you sincerely Clinton.

    Jim2020-03-24T00:00:00Z
  • Clinton is an amazing host. We arrived in the area after a long drive without a reservation and sent him a message. Within minutes we had a response and within an hour we were settled. The cottage is lovely with a nice history - home of an Irish poet - well restored, warm and comfortable. Within walking distance of all the historic sights and the town center. Off street parking was a great bonus.

    Elaine2019-09-05T00:00:00Z
  • My first time using Airbnb and they say first impressions last well this one certainly will. Clinton got in touch with me straight away to give me details etc and there was someone at the property to greet me. I knew from the pictures this cottage was special and it absolutely exceeded expectations. In beautiful surroundings, it felt like you'd stepped back in time, the cottage had plenty of character but also with modern touches. Everything you needed was there, excellent value for money, just wish I'd stayed longer. Will definitely be back there, thank you Clinton.

  • Melanie’s place was so homey! I slept so well in the COMFY bed and the duvet was so so cozy. Arrival was a piece of cake and I was greeted at the door and served tea. Breakfast was amazing as well. I only stayed one night, but it was very obvious a lot of love lives in this house. Would be happy to book a stay again!

  • Incredibly charming and wonderful stay!!! We only stayed one night, but we absolutely loved our time there in a gorgeous house in a gorgeous location! Melanie is so friendly and helpful. Waking up to such a lovely view and having breakfast by the fire was one of the highlights of our trip. Would love to come back for a longer stay.

    Kristin2019-11-28T00:00:00Z
  • This was the first stop on our trip to Ireland and it couldn’t have been more idyllic. Melanie’s home and property are absolutely stunning. The room had wonderful views of the mountains in the distance and pasture in the area. The room was sparkling clean, very comfortable and had everything we needed. We arrived very late and were greeted by Melanie who accommodated our check-in and made us tea to take to our room. Her morning breakfast was delicious, complete with eggs, sausage, toast, coffee, and served in a cozy separate dining room. We were able to walk the grounds and meet her family during our stay. I would highly recommend to anyone looking for a beautiful and easy bed and breakfast experience. Only regret was that we didn’t stay longer! We will definitely be coming back.

We are a family farmhouse bed and breakfast set in the heart of South County Tipperary. We are located out of the main village but within easy access of the many tourist attractions of the area.
"The Maids Room" was originally used as the maids bedroom back in the days when it was very usual to have a maid. It has a double bed and the bathroom has the original, deep iron bath with a power shower over. Lovely views from the window of the gardens and beyond...
Emly is a quiet, rural village. We live in a close-knit community where people take the time to wave and say hello or stop for a chat. There are a couple of pubs in the village where you could get a sandwich but the main eating pubs and restaurants are in Tipperary which is a 12-15 minute drive from us. We are more than happy to make reservations for you.
  • This is a lovely old house, perfect for a relaxing holiday, we were only there for one night, but Melanie made us both feel right at home for the evening.

  • Green fields. Fresh linens. Breakfast by the fire. Melanie's home is in the heart of the Irish countryside, offering the best of Irish traditions - warmth, welcome, humor, and history. Melanie's family is the third generation to live in this stately farmhouse. She and her husband are thoughtful and accommodating hosts. I thoroughly enjoyed my stay.

  • Lovely place with lots of space and well equipped. The host takes pride in this accommodation and lots of nice touches too. Very thoughtful in terms of milk, a box of goodies, water etc. The location is handy to go in many directions. Comfortable, enjoyable and well looked after. Thank you!

  • Highly recommend Rossa Farm. It is situated in a lovely part of Cork and the cottage is a real escape. John was great. Very friendly and the cottage is spotless.

  • Especially great accommodation in a remarkable location. The farm with the two-story apartment is located about 45 km north of Cork in total seclusion. The courtyard is very, very beautiful, with great love for nature and many nice details. The rooms are large, in the bathroom there is even Häken (a peculiarity in Ireland). Host John personally welcomed us and surprised us with an extensive food basket (snacks, sweets, fruit, bread, cereals, Nescafe) as well as milk, cheese and butter in the fridge! We were 2 weeks in Ireland, had 7 different accommodations. This was definitely the most beautiful!

    Rudolf2019-08-15T00:00:00Z
  • Rossa Cottage #2 was absolutely amazing. We were lucky enough to arrive while John was still there. He spent time going over all the fine details and offered great suggestions. There was a basket full of goodies to get us started as well! It is exactly what I wanted to experience as a part of our trip to Ireland. The peacefulness of the surroundings, the picturesque landscape, comfortable home, made a perfect home away from home. I would recommend John’s place to anyone! We hope to return! Thank you so much for your hospitality! Amanda

  • If you are looking for an authentic “Irish” experience, this is it. The cottage is quaint and comfortable. There are two entertaining spaces if you are hosting visitors. It’s only 5 minutes from town if you need anything at the shop. Pubs are close by too.

  • Some unfortunate travel delays caused us to cancel last minute, but Sonia was incredibly understanding and quick to communicate back with us. She made what was a difficult situation a little better. We look forward to trying to stay with her in the future.

    Adam2019-02-15T00:00:00Z
  • The cottage was exactly as described. It's in a beautiful setting on the farm. The horses and Gin the cat both greeted me upon arrival. The bed was very comfortable with quality linens. Thank you very much Sonia for the breakfast items! That made my stay even more convenient and cozy. There's a beautiful wood burning stove which was all set up and ready to be lit upon arrival. I still felt quite cold but Sonia promptly made some suggestions and I was comfortable afterwards. I also appreciated the cut flowers in the bathroom and on the coffee table. Her home is full of information on local items of interest and her own personal mementos. Overall, I had a charming stay in her gorgeous cottage.
