My place is close to family-friendly activities, public transport, the airport (Shannon airport), less than an hour from Galway, Limerick. Golf courses in the area, Kilkee, Kilrush, Doonbeg (Trump International), Lahinch.. You’ll love my place because of the coziness, the location, 2 minutes to Kilkee beach.. My place is good for couples, business travelers, and families (with kids). Kilkee is a beautiful town with several safe swimming areas, a blue flag beach and glorious walks.
The house has a large entrance/reception hall, a large sitting room with a solid fuel stove and electric heating in all rooms. Downstairs bathroom includes electric shower.
House is located in a quiet, residential street, 100m from the beach. Close to shops, bars, restaurant and the local church.
  • This home is in a very central location, was spacious and modern. We really enjoyed our stay there.

  • Noels place was great. A beautiful, clean, spacious house in a very central location. We loved our stay and would highly recommend Noels house. We are already looking to go back!!

  • The house was very centrally located. It's deceptively large. We loved using the well equipped kitchen. We traveled with children and the back yard was very safe and enclosed. We had an amazing stay and we will be back! I would highly recommend the house!

  • It is a lovely house in a beautiful location but there is not much to do in Kilkee when it is raining. There is no wifi.

    Gillian2017-03-19T00:00:00Z
  • Cracking spot to stay for the family. Left the car outside and everything within walking distance of the beautiful seaside town. Highly recommend staying in Noels house. Great host and easy to deal with.

    Declan2017-08-29T00:00:00Z
  • Great homely house central to all that Kilkee can offer. I would highly recommend this place - would be a great summer getaway for all the family. We'll definitely be back.

    Kitty2016-11-27T00:00:00Z
  • Fine house with nice furnishing within walking distance of Kilkee restaurants, shops and the beach.

    Audrey2017-04-17T00:00:00Z
  • Noels house is spacious, clean and well presented. Close to the centre of town but not on a busy road. We have no hesitation recommending it for families or groups that want a great base to explore Kilkee and County Claire. Highlights of the property are the sun-trap of a patio, great solid fuel fireplace that produces wonderful heat and family friendly kitchen area and lounge.

Close proximity (2 minute walk) to Blue Flag, sandy beach and cliff walks. Own south-facing patio area perfect for bbqs. Double bedroom with 5 foot bed. Spacious and comfortable lounge and kitchen area
Kilkee is the gateway town to the Loop Head Peninsula. It has a clean, horseshoe beach with wonderful cliff walks. There is a renowned Dive Centre, kayaking and sailing - all in season and only 3 minutes walk from the apartment. The cliff walks are ideal for walkers, bird-watchers and those who appreciate the wild, Atlantic coast. The 18 hole golf course stretching along the cliffs is located beside the apartment and has an excellent restaurant. Kilkee has several lively pubs, cafes and good restaurants
  • The apartment is exactly as presented online, that is well-appointed, nicely furnished, comfortable and clean. It is well-located and has a nice sheltered south-facing private terrace. Worth noting the bed is comfortable! Patricia has been prompt in communicating with us and very accommodating, and we would love to stay in her apartment again.

    colm2017-08-19T00:00:00Z
  • Very tidy, comfortable spacious apartment. Our host gave us so many amenities. A wonderful experience. Kilkee is gorgeous and friendly. Just loved our stay!

  • Lovely apartment beside the beach. Stunning walks nearby. Bars/restaurants 5mins walk. Really enjoyed our stay in Kilkee!

    Carmel2017-08-04T00:00:00Z
  • We spent 5 days in Patricia's apartment in kilkee. It was spotlessly clean and Patricia had left useful instructions for how things worked. Just to keep in mind that there are some steps from where you would park to the apartment if you have a lot of luggage or buggy etc. Great location just a few mins from the beach and town. Only downside is that the hotel in front of apt conplex is disused, would have been nice if it was open. The beach is fantastic! Really safe and clean and I think one of the best in Ireland! The town is small but functional. We ate in the strand and diamond rocks cafe and would recommend both. Ideal spot for a short break, highly recommended.

    Brid2017-07-15T00:00:00Z
  • Great location. Clean and well fitted out. Everything you need and you can book nights- you are not tied to a minimum of a week when booking. Most other Kilkee apartments are for week only bookings.

    Jo2017-07-07T00:00:00Z
  • Patricia's apartment is located 3 minutes from gorgeous cliffs and 5 minutes from the next supermarket which was perfect for us because we had no car. This was not a problem because you can explore quite a lot of places by foot and there is even the option of a bus connection to towns like Kilrush. The apartment is cozy and clean and offered everything we needed during our stay. Do not miss the opportunity to have dinner at Murphy Black's Restaurant, best food in town!

    Florian2017-01-03T00:00:00Z
  • Very nice place, well located and Patricia was a nice host

    Ian2016-08-15T00:00:00Z
  • Had a lovely time while staying at Patricia's apartment. There was lovely fresh fruit, milk etc when we arrived. The apartment was beautifully presented with everything we needed for our stay. The location was perfect within easy walking distance to the cliffs on the right, the beach almost outside the front door and the town just a short stroll away. Beautiful apartment, beautiful town, beautiful location, I wouldn't hesitate to visit agai. Thank you Patricia

  • Carol's house was great. It was much more spacious than it looked in the photos! It was very clean and tidy and Carol was very helpful with any queries. There were 4 of us and we had plenty of room. Short walk to beach, pubs and restaurants. Great place for a break, we were only sorry we weren't staying longer.

    Patrick2017-09-24T00:00:00Z
  • Carols house is the perfect setting for a family stay in kilkee. The house is much more spacious than the pictures shows especially living areas. Every room had an ensuite which was not expected and was a nice extra. The back garden is completely enclosed so it was perfect for kids. It's a short stroll to the beach, swimming pool and you can walk to the shops and restaurants. We would definitely stay again on a family holiday. It was a pleasure to stay there and Carol was lovely to deal with.

    Zondra2017-07-01T00:00:00Z
  • Carol is lovely and her place is great. Very convenient and comfortable.

    orla2017-06-23T00:00:00Z
  • The accommodations were very clean and neat. The bed was comfortable. For me the location was perfect, just a short walk to the Village shops, pubs and restaurants. Carol had left some essentials and an array of information on local attractions. She was also very communicative and was kind enough to make suggestions for grocery shops on the way from airport.

    Bob2017-09-11T00:00:00Z
  • We felt perfectly at home as soon as we entered the house which is very large, bright and well decorated with particular attention to details, the kitchen is provided with everything, even more than I thought. Everything that is described in the site corresponds to truth, indeed the photos of the house do not really reflect its beauty. I would suggest to Carol to take a bit more professional photographs! We all really enjoyed staying in Carol's house and we would definitely return there if in Kilkee again.

My apartment is at ground floor level which is ideal for buggy access and elderly clients. There is plenty of free car parking available.
I personally love the walks up to the east end and west end head lands which give you the wow wee views. This a must every morning followed by a cup of tea in the diamond rocks cafe where one can people watch. Lunch time can be spent sitting out on the terrace with your eyes closed soaking up the sun. Afternoons can spent on the beach or a drive to wonderful amenities i.e loop head, alwee caves, cliffs of moher, aran islands and many many other sights on the wild atlantic way.
  • Beautiful apartment ideally located beside the sea in Kilkee. Clean, warm an cosy. Suited perfectly for our family of 2 adults and 2 children. Will hopefully be back to stay with Ollie again in the future.

  • Great stay @ this property in the seaside town of Kilkee for the Aug weekend! All mod cons throughout, big and spacious and just a nice apartment in general! Perfect for couples/families! Ollie was a great host from start to finish and kept in contact with me throughout. Would definitely stay again, seconds from the beach and minutes from various dining options and pubs. Great time, thanks Ollie! :)

    Mike2017-08-07T00:00:00Z
  • Great little spot! Especially for people that like to be able to walk places; the beach is just down the road (you can actually see a glimpse of it from the house), the village with shops, restaurants and pubs is an easy walk past the beach. The cliffs and amazing views are the other direction. All easily walk able. We were pleasantly surprised to find a bathtub in main bathroom and ensuite bedroom (I don't think that was in the add). It is a little sparse, so come prepared or be prepared to go out and get your essentials, like dish soap, towels, etc. But it does have a French press!! (For us coffee people).

  • We enjoyed our stay in Johns beautifult appartment a lot. It is well equiped and very confortable, with all you need. John is a very friendly host, the communication with him is great. Also he gave us a lot of informations about places to visit, when we arrived.

    Mona & Robert2016-10-03T00:00:00Z
  • John's house is a nice and comfortable accommodation. You'll find all the necessary facilities for a perfect stay. Clean, comfortable in a perfect location. The beach is just around the corner. Easy parking. Quite. The welcome is "warm" and John will provide with his kind presence all the information useful to fully enjoy your days. Our daughter loved the smaller bedroom. Everything is perfect. Thanks John.

  • Pretty much the perfect Air BnB experience for us, all the formalities and check-in straightforward, lovely roomy apartment with a very much "home from home" feel to it, great location smack in the middle of Kilkee, a wonderful small traditional seaside resort, of the kind that has largely disappeared inn the UK in the last 20 years, and a whole load of beautiful and fascinating scenic and historical sites on the doorstep. Many thanks to John, friendly and super helpful, tipping us off about the car park at the end of the cliff walk, which meant we avoided the scrum at the Cliffs of Moher. Can't wait to return, hopefully with more sunshine next time.

    Richard2017-06-11T00:00:00Z
  • John's place was a perfect place to stay! He was kind and welcoming. The location was on the main street of Kilkee with lots of shops and places to eat near bye. There are also some beautiful walking trails in Kilkee! Also the bus stop was very close. It was lovely place to stay!

    Kara2017-05-28T00:00:00Z
  • We really liked our stay at Johns apartment. It is right at the center of the town, on the busiest street (which is a good thing in this case). Cheap and good food as well as some pubs with live music are only a few steps away, and from the kitchen window you can see the ocean. It has everything you need for a pleasent stay, including a fully equipped kitchen. It's very comfortable, and John is a great host. He is very friendly, very helpful and he knows some great storys he's willing to share.

    Björn2016-07-20T00:00:00Z
  • John is a wonderful host, he had the kitchen filled with food and could not have been more accommodating. The location is a wonderful birds eye view of the main street, great fun for people watching. We will definitely be booking that spot again, I have stayed in uncountable spots around Kilkee and this is really up there

    Ruth2017-03-19T00:00:00Z
  • This was the PERFECT place to stay in Kilkee. The location is right on the main street above the owner's shop. This meant easy strolls to the shops and restaurants and the beach just one block over. You can also see the ocean from the kitchen windows which was great to wake up to each morning. Across the street is one of the pub's which meant we got to enjoy the live music over the weekend from the comfort our our home! John was a wonderful host. He made check in easy and ensured we had everything we needed in the home and for our stay in Ireland. It was great to be able to pop downstairs to his shop if we needed anything, but he respected our privacy letting us come to him. The beds were comfy and it was so nice to have the living room and kitchen. The washer/dryer made it possible to pack light and leave room for souvenirs in the luggage. The shower was great and we always had plenty of clean linens across our 2 week stay. I can't say enough about this home and John. If we are lucky enough to go back to Kilkee we will for sure be staying here again and I'd recommend it every time.

    Kara2017-07-08T00:00:00Z
  • John is very nice, friendly and flexible host. We arrived at around 10 pm and it wasn't an issue at all. There are shower gels , shampoo , toilet papers everything you need in the bathroom. The kitchen is also very well equipped. Lots of bars, restaurants nearby, but apt still wasn't too noisy.

  • Hi Aishlinn, thank you so much for a lovely weekend in Kilkee. The house was perfect, gorgeous view of Kilkee bay. The location excellent only 5-10 minute stroll to shops, restaurants. The house was so comfortable for a group of six, we cooked up a storm for breakfast each morning in the kitchen. Thank you for been so responsive for all our needs. We enjoyed every minute and will be back for a week next summer Thanks again Cathy, Julie and family

  • We stayed for 3 nights at the beginning of May 17. Aislinn gave great directions on how to find the house,it was a shame we didn't get to meet but she left the keys in a safe location. The view is the best thing about the house..its so beautiful and we manged to get the sun to shine to one day. Kilkee is very quiet but came to life the minute the sun came out. The house has a lovely seaside vibe, it was sparkling clean and has plenty of rooms .A warning to those travelling with babies or light sleepers there is no insulation between the floorboards so we tipped toed around A lot!

    Michelle2017-05-07T00:00:00Z
  • We had a warm welcome with a kind selection of goodies including tea, coffee, hot chocolate, cookies, wine and fresh milk in the fridge. We had no problems accessing the house and our host when we required. The house is very specious with great kitchen facilities, plenty of linen, outdoor furniture for when the sun shined and facilities for a great turf fire for the stormy nights. The location was excellent with great views, in a quiet neighborhood and a very short walk to a gorgeous beach and plenty of great pubs, cafes and award winning restaurants. Overall a great house for our family holiday.

The perfect location in Kilkee, two minutes from the Blue Flag beach, nightlife and restaurants, including Murphy Blacks Restaurant (McKenna Guides top 100 Restaurants 2016). Kilkee is the gateway to the award winning Loop Head Peninsula ((URL HIDDEN) & 10 mins from Dolphinwatch Carrigaholt. The room has its own private entrance and though we don't provide breakfast there are plenty of places to eat within 5 mins walk . Perfect for couples and solo adventurers.
It has tea and coffee making facilities, a selection of books and a tv with DVD player and selection of DVDs. We have wifi but it can be intermittent as broadband coverage in the town can be patchy at busy periods
Kilkee is a small seaside town that has a lot of Irish visitors in the summer months, It has a very pretty circular bay around which the Victorian town was built and retains a lot of the houses from that era . There are many lovely walks and drives here The cliff walk at the south side of the bay and the Loop Head drive around the peninsula with beautiful cliff scenery ( far more beautiful than The Cliffs of Moher :-) For the braver there are 3 large rock pools called the Pollock Holes where you can have a swim . We are also close to Carrigaholt which has the award winning Dolphinwatch trip

They had a busy night at the restaurant but each of them went out of their way to talk to us, Cillian even helped us plan our route for the next day (which was magnificent by the way). Excellent hosts with an exciting perspective on the future of sustainable Irish tourism. Make sure you grab dinner at their restaurant, the food was delicious!

It's a short stroll to the centre of the the town, the beach, the Pollock Holes and located at the start of the cliff walk too. Couldn't fault it. Mary communicated all the time and everything was very clear from the start. Very spacious apartment too with four bedrooms and two bathrooms. Excellent value if you have a full house. • It does what it says on the tin and then a huge lot more! Cliff Cottage is a uniquely beautiful 'home from home' with absolutely magnificent and uninterrupted views over Kilkee bay. The original cottage is tastefully decorated in keeping with its style and the design of the modern extension has been blended in seamlessly to offer a fabulous open living area, equipped with all mod cons, natural lighting and wall to wall breathtaking views across the bay. The fit out throughout is of a very high quality, with subtle colour tones, beautiful floors and a very spacious look and feel. The description if anything understates the quality and location of the property. It is a short walk from the town and all local amenities. Our meet & greet was seamless as was checkout and there is a full set of detailed instructions with helpful information provided on site. Mary was available at any time & checked back with us to see if we needed anything. Great customer service. I don't think we have stayed in a better equipped property anywhere and we have no hesitation in recommending it. Top class service and property that goes the extra mile - in a word 'excellent'.

  • This is a spectacular property finished to a very high standard with every possible convenience. Stunning views across the bay. Comfortable beds and beautifully decorated. We had a wonderful week with family. Mary was a very attentive host and was always available to answer any query. The kitchen is well equipped and everything was in excellent condition. I cannot recommend this property enough for anyone who wants to stay in Kilkee with added luxury.

  • We had the pleasure of spending three nights in Mary’s cliff side cottage. I traveled with my two children, husband and a family friend. There was more than enough space for all of us. While the view is definitely the highlight of the cottage, the cottage is in impeccable condition with great care taken to every detail. The cottage is so beautiful and comfortable we did not want to leave. The cottage is located in a nice quiet area and is one of two houses located right on the shore. From the cottage it is a short walk to downtown Kilkee and Kilkee beach. We also enjoyed a longer walk to the magnificent cliffs of the Clare Coast. Mary is a generous and gracious host. Before our arrive she sent a list of recommended activities for the area based on our interests. Upon our arrival, Mary greeted us at the cottage and walked through the well documented instructions. She stocked the cottage with treats to eat and drink and she even made a delicious loaf of Guinness Bread. We arrived in the evening with no plans for dinner and Mary quickly called and arranged for a delicious dinner at Murphy Blacks. Mary made us feel completely welcome! If you have the opportunity to stay at Mary’s cottage, I would highly recommend it.

  • Cliff Cottage is beautifully situated overlooking the Atlantic. The view from the living area is breathtaking and lightfilled. The sea view changes all the time and is very relaxing to watch. The cottage is tastefully decorated and very comfortable. The kitchen is very well equipped. It is a delightful place to stay in and relax after a day of touring. It serves as a great base to explore Loop Head, Kilkee, Kilrush and the Burren. Mary was a very helpful host and has left a great information pack about things to do in the area as well as suggestions for restaurants. I hope to go back to Cliff Cottage at some stage.

    Susan2017-06-09T00:00:00Z
  • We were 6 people staying in Cliff Cottage, my husband and myself, my 70-something parents, and my 21 year old son and his girlfriend - and all of us had an absolutely wonderful time. The cottage itself is completely perfect - Mary has thought of every detail and I agree with the other reviews which said the reality is even better than the photos - such spectacular scenery right out of the windows, and large, spacious, light and well-appointed rooms. Kilkee itself is fantastic, several dining and pub options within walking distance, and lots more within short driving distance. The West Coast of Ireland is spectacular, with beautiful cliff walks - the Cliffs of Moher are justifiably famous and definitely worth a visit but we really loved Loop Head and went back three times for walking. Most of all we were treated with hospitality and friendliness wherever we went. I can't thank Mary enough for all of her detailed information on the house and the local sights and restaurants, she was always on the end of an email as we planned our trip and on text while we were there. You will be delighted with Cliff Cottage, I promise. We are already trying to figure out how to go back.

My place is close to The sea. You’ll love my place because of the views, the location, the ambiance, the outdoors space, the total freedom of the Wild Atlantic Way. 5 mins walk from the beach. In a very quiet and family friendly private estate. Outdoor furniture and bikes provided with the house.
  • Excellent location. Quiet and safe yet near to shops and beach. Extremely comfortable. Any little queries we had were dealt with straight away. All the extras included made such a difference to our stay. Would highly recommend this house and we are looking forward to a return visit.

  • We enjoyed our short stay in Mike's house in Kilkee. The house is absolutely very comfortable and well equipped and the beach is just a 5 minutes walk. Mike is very willing to help you with anything to get more out of your stay. 5 Stars!

    Rick2016-08-12T00:00:00Z
  • You couldn't pick a better home to stay in Kilkee! Absolutely beautiful and spotlessly clean. We didn't get to meet Mike but all his communications and advice on where to go and what to see during our stay were over and above what we expected. The house is beautiful and like a home from home! All the little things are there and more, wet suits, BBQ, DVD's, Games, bikes, fabulous kitchen with a great range of cookware, delph, etc It's a great location, 5 mins from town center and beach and easy to find behind local church which is a handy land mark. Mike advised us to get our main shopping in another town as Kilkee have very limited shops, only a small supermarket which has limited and more expensive goods. That is definitely a good idea. During our stay we did a boat trip from Carrigaholt to see the Dolphins at the Shannon estuary, it was fantastic as were the famous Pollock holes at Kilkee. The Diamond Rocks cafe there is fab too! Great coffee and Eggs Benedict. Lots to do at and around Kilkee and Mikes house is an additional little bit of luxury!

  • Mike's house in Kilkee is in a super location. 5 mins walk to the beach and even less to the centre of Kilkee. Just park you car when you arrive and you can walk everywhere! I love the fact that Mike provided a bike with a basket - very handy to pick up a few groceries ! The house itself is very comfortable . We had a great stay!

    1 review
A completely unique and standalone 3 floor, 6 bed hill-top residence, 100 meters from the Atlantic Ocean, and 10 minute stroll to the town centre, with a rooftop and two balconies giving incredible 360° views of the ocean, cliffs, and Kilkee's famous bay.
The house is at the highest point in Kilkee, in the town's west end, with 2 separate entrances (upper and lower), and enough space to park 4/5 cars. There are two very large sections of glass at both ends of the house providing an endless amount of natural light and unique views of the sea and bay, no matter where you are in the building. The house has 1 small, 2 medium, and 2 large bedrooms, with room for any additional storage or sleeping arrangements for kids/extra guests. Open Plan Kitchen/Living area with curved floor-to-ceiling windows providing the best views in Kilkee. Large decked balcony with bench to relax and take in the stunning seascape at your in front of you. The roof of the house is completely flat and decked, with spiral-stairs access via the balcony, which is a great place to go to relax and enjoy the 360° views of the Atlantic ocean and surrounding bay area (it has also been the site of 2 music gigs).
Kilkee and the Loophead Peninsula, was voted "The best place to holiday in Ireland" last year, by the Irish Times. This has been a family favourite getaway for many years. The safety of the beach and bay area sets it apart from anywhere else for swimmers, surfers, and all water-enthusiasts, with the beach being regarded as one of Ireland's cleanest and safest for families and holiday makers. As previously stated, the house itself is only 100 meters from the Atlantic ocean, and after a day of activities and/or relaxation, you are a beautiful 10 minute stroll away from some of the best restaurants and pubs in the west of Ireland.
  • I visit Kilkee frequently and have always been intrigued by the impressive architectural marvel nestled on top of the bluff. A kind of Californian beach house that somehow doesn’t look out of place in a little West Clare seaside town. Kilkee itself is blessed with a fine beach surrounded by cliffs and reefs providing great views from any aspect but one had to wonder what they must look like from “Up There!”: Through the vast front window or from the roof terrace accessed by a spiral staircase you can see if you are looking up at the house from the “Pollock holes” at the west end of the town. Recently I was treated to a long weekend stay in this one of a kind home and was very excited at the prospect. I was not disappointed. Our gracious host, Hugh greeted us warmly and gave us the tour of the house and the amenities. He has composed a comprehensive and helpful guide to the house and the town for guests. The interior certainly lives up to all that is promised from the outside: A sumptuous leather sofa for relaxing on while taking in the spectacular views complements the open plan kitchen and dining area. Beyond the cosy TV room, into the amazing glass walled stairwell and down to the bedroom level where there is quiet and comfortable sleeping quarters with en-suite bathrooms. The master bedroom is carefully furnished so that you can see “Georges Head”, the dominant feature of the land/sea scape that is Kilkee, from the huge bed. Other big porthole type windows provide views back into the beach and the east end of the town. From the roof you can see all the way to Co Kerry to the south and the Arran Islands to the north. We didn’t stay long enough and our plans for the weekend were already made so we didn’t get to enjoy all the house had to offer, like the suntrap deck by the pond. It really is a fabulous house in a perfect location of my favourite holiday destination. Private and secure, yet convenient for the diving boards at “Newfy”, the Diamond Rocks Cafe, cliff walk and Pollock Hole swimming. A pleasant stroll into the town. Check from the window if the tide is out so you can cut across the beach for a shortcut to The Pantry for breakfast and baked goods. You can be relaxed or as active as you like in Kilkee. There is plenty to do or just look at! Make Kilkee your base for touring the entire West Clare portion of the Wild Atlantic Way and Shannon estuary and make this lovely house your home for that.

Excellent host who was available for questions and recommendations during our stay. Helpful note: Be advised that there is not a dryer but washer is available.

  • Just home after a fantastic 4 days in Kilkee staying at this one of a kind property with the most sensational views we have ever seen. The host, Hugh, was an absolute gentleman - he had organised wonderful welcome gifts including a bottle of wine and an Irish breakfast in the fridge. He was so helpful telling us all about the village and checking in to make sure all was ok during our stay. The house itself is breathtaking, perched to high on a hill overlooking Kilkee and fantastic Atlantic views. I spent most of my time staring out at the ocean - there is an incredible terrace which is perfect on a sunny day to enjoy the views. We travelled with our 1.5 year old and 2 month old and there was lots to do in Kilkee - swimming, crab fishing, walks, rock pools - we had a fantastic time. Thank you Hugh!

  • My wife, our son and his friend (both 12) just had a great week in Kilkee. The apartment is very spacious but easy to maintain. You can top up the electricity with Pinergy which was very easy to use and we got through about €30 credit in the week. The 3G phone signal at the apartment is excellent, so much so I was able to use my phone as a hotspot for watching movies on Netflix in the evening. Location is excellent - a 3 minute walk to the beach and about 5 minute stroll to the main street. If it is a view you are after however you will need to go for a walk around the cliffs as the apartment's view of Kilkee is blocked by the back of a hotel. The apartment was clean and had a good washer/dryer, dishwasher and a decent TV. However it is very short of utensils, I had to buy a coffee pot and a decent kitchen knife to use. Bring plenty of towels with you as there are none provided along with dishwasher tablets toilet roll etc. The balcony gets good afternoon sun but is in need of some TLC. There is no table for outdoor eating and the 4 plastic chairs have seen better days. We had a great stay and there is a lovely family feel around the whole apartment complex, very happy to recommend.

    Joe2015-08-15T00:00:00Z
  • House is well located to all amenities. We had a great family holiday!

    John2017-08-26T00:00:00Z
  • This is a 3-bedroom, kind of in between a house and apartment, i.e. there is a stairs but there is no separate garden. There is a large open-plan kitchen dining-room sitting-room and a double bedroom, a twin bedroom and a single bedroom. Our family, 2 adults, 2 kids stayed for 3 nights over the weekend at the beginning of July 2015. Positives: Closer to the beach than I thought from the description. It's about a 5 -10 min walk straight down the hill onto the beach. Very clean. All amenities, TV, etc, (except wifi, but that's not such a big deal) Negatives: The house was very bare. There was no washing up liquid, tea towels, laundry detergent. No food whatsoever of any kind, except salt, I think. The paying for electricity part was a bit weird, I couldn't really figure out what I was meant to do or how much I should pay. In the end I followed the instructions and paid 2 euros/day as I thought that would cover my normal electricity usage at home during summer, but I have no idea if that was correct. In summary, I recommend the house.

    Brian2015-07-06T00:00:00Z
  • Great location in Kilkee. Apartment exactly as described and Leo/property manager very contactable and helpful. One of the nicest properties I have rented in Kilkee (am frequent visitor) and would definitely rent again. Minor glitch would be not enough delph/cutlery etc but this is typical of holiday homes.

    Michael2016-07-17T00:00:00Z
  • My family and I had a wonderful holiday and so impressed with this apartment. It was very clean, had all the amenities we needed, it was warm and cosy and the location was ideal. Thank you Leo we intend to stay again next year.

    Charlotte2016-07-31T00:00:00Z
  • This is a lovely property, very spacious, comfortable and close to beach, town centre, etc. It is at the top of a very steep hill, and there are a number of steps to traverse when packing and unpacking the house. Some of the furniture is quite dated and worn (couches), but the overall standard of cleanliness is very high and the kitchen had everything we needed for our stay. The children loved the little touches like the solar powered multicoloured fairy lights on the balcony! We would certainly recommend this property.

    Maura2017-08-12T00:00:00Z
  • Couldn't really complain about this apartment. Plenty of room downstairs which was great. Basic furnishings throughout but adequate. Just about enough in the kitchen if you were planning on cooking a lot. Probably needs some utensil investment. Wouldn't recommend for families with very young children and buggies due to the unavoidable steps. Cannot wheel your way to the apartment fully.

    Rory2017-07-22T00:00:00Z

  • Sean was very welcoming the day we arrived, met us at the appartment and showed us around. There was fresh fruit, orange juice, milk etc and all the essentials we needed. The apartment is in a perfect location for touring Loop Head. There are great places to eat close by and if you don't want to eat out there is a fully fitted kitchen where you can cook for yourselves. There is a fabulous sandy beach just about five minutes away on foot and amazing Pollock Holes for snorkeling just a little further along the coast. Sean and Irene's place is a perfect place to stay if you are touring Loop Head. We had a great day out at Loop Head lighthouse where we saw a pod of bottlenose dolphins quite close to the cliffs. We highly recommend a visit and look forward to returning.

  • Absolutely lovely house with excellent views out over the bay. Jacinta is a very accommodating host. Highly recommended. You could look out the window all day and stare at the ocean. Its great because even if the weather isn't great, you can still enjoy the incredible views out over the ocean and watch the weather come in over the Atlantic, which makes it the ideal autumn/winter-get away. The stove fire complements this well also. Even better, if the weather is good, you have all you need to sit outside and enjoy the views. The house has plenty of room and even the single rooms are spacious. I do not think you will find better value in Kilkee for a house with these views. Jacinta was very accommodating and made sure that we had everything we needed.

  • We enjoyed Our stay in Kilkee very much. The views from the house on the sea banging onto the cliffs are very impressive. The nearby beach is very much fun for kids.

  • The house was absolutely perfect!! Our family of 6 stayed for 1 week and the accommodations were everything we had hoped for and more. The home was immaculate and had all of the amenities promised. It was very comfortable and we felt at home immediately. The room and beds were great and 2 of the rooms had spectacular views of the ocean. All of the appliances were in perfect working order and many of them had been recently replaced. We dined in several nights and the were plenty of pots, pans etc. for cooking large meals. The location was excellent-very quiet and it only took a couple of minutes to get to town and Kilkee is a great place to vacation. Neighbors were fantastic also and very friendly. But the view was truly amazing!!!! We had 7 days of sunshine and the sunsets got better every night-it is a million dollar view. Did not spend anytime in the backyard and in stead thoroughly enjoyed sitting on the front porch and taking in the view. I highly recommend this house if your are visiting the Loop Head area and I most definitely will be staying here on my next visit to Ireland!!!!

  • The house was great, Amazing location right by the coast and a 2 minute walk from the village. The house was well equipped with everything you needed for a chilled out holiday but you need to bring your own sugar and milk. The views from the sitting room where second to none . It was spectacular waking up to the waves crashing against the rocks every morning. We'd be back in a heart beat.

  • A home away from home! Geraldine was a great host and responded immediately and was very helpful. We really enjoyed our visit (two adults and three children ) and would have no hesitation in returning for a second visit.

    Anne Marie2017-07-22T00:00:00Z
  • Geraldine's house is well set up, plenty of beds and walking distance to town. Would suggest bringing your groceries with you though as the local shop, think it was Mace, didn't have great stock and we found that after having something to eat in one of the pubs the shop was closed when we came out, think it was only around 8pm. There is a large Tesco and Aldi in Kilrush so best to stock up there. Great base to explore Clare and the Burren.

    Sharon2017-04-19T00:00:00Z
  • Geraldine’s place was exactly as advertised. We had a great stay there and would recommend it for anyone visiting Kilkee or the surrounding parts of Clare. Geraldine’s communication was excellent, providing great tips about the town.

  • We enjoyed our stay in Geraldine's home in Kilkee. The house is very close to the beach and shops in Kilkee and it's a gorgeous town. The house is in a safe and friendly holiday village with a playground and basketball/soccer court. It was a lovely way to spend our Easter weekend.

Our house overlooks the Atlantic Ocean, in a very quiet village of houses with beautiful sea views. Very comfortable modern house sleeps 8/ 10. Kilkee town with safe beach, shops, childrens playground, library/ theatre, cliff walks. pubs, restaurants is approx 2 miles drive, car essential. Kilrush town for weekly farmers market, large supermarkets, dolphin watching tours on the Shannon is 15 minutes drive. 1 1/2 hours from Shannon airport. Cliffs of Moher a leisurely 45 mins drive.
Beautiful light filled house overlooking the Atlantic ocean. Very modern, fully fitted kitchen, 4 bedrooms, 2 shower rooms, 2 living rooms. Can sleep 8/10 people. Child friendly, we have a cot and high chair and we don't charge for children under 3 years. Large enclosed back garden, seating area to front. Gates on the front of the house.
Quiet, clean, fabulous sea views, friendly neighbours. The photos show our house from the top of the hill - we own this land so you can walk up to the top if you wish!
  • Bright spacious house with wonderful sea views. Our baby girl enjoyed having all that space to crawl around. Everything seems new. The kitchen is huge and well equipped. There is an amazing cliff walk in nearby Kilkee. There was no Internet, but it seemed fitting to be disconnected from the outside world in such a beautiful location. Overall, we had a great time.

  • We had an absolutely fabulous time in liz's wonderful home in Kilkee. The house is really well stocked and Liz left tonnes of really relevant instructions and tips! my daughter loves the neighbours (two donkeys and a horse!) who came down to visit a few times!!! The location was fab with gorgeous views! Would highly recommend this wonderful house!

  • The host made us feel very welcome. The house was exactly as described. The surrounding area had beautiful scenery but not much to do in town.

    Laura2015-07-24T00:00:00Z
  • Liz was a wonderful host & left us provisions for breakfast as well as kitchen staples for cooking. The house was spotless and so comfortable as well as being exceptionally stylishly decorated. All the beds were beautifully made and there were plenty of fresh towels for us. The location of Liz's house was perfect - close enough to Kilkee to be able to pop to the beach but with a spectacular aspect of the Atlantic. Would definitely recommend Liz's property to anyone visiting Kilkee and its surrounds.

The baby cot and high chair were an added bonus to our stay, and really helped with our one year old daughter. • John, graciously welcomed us, explaining how to put euros in the box to turn on the heat, operate the showers (always a challenge for Americans) and then patiently explaining how European front doors lock later that evening. The house is roomy and comfortable for several people. It is well located near the center of the village for shopping for the supplies one needs (tea, coffee, sugar, tp, soap and food to cook). He brought us towels which apparently Irish families bring with them. Killkee is well situated on a beautiful peninsula with cliffs that rival the Cliffs of Moher, great for bicycling. Williams hardware rents great bikes for 15 euros per day. The Spa in town has seaweed baths and wraps not to be missed. This is a wonderful place to spend time on and around the beach and bay.

    Jere2015-09-28T00:00:00Z
  • We had a wonderful time in Kilkee! Despite arriving just as Ireland rugby lost to Argentina, John greeted us warmly and in great spirits. The house was absolutely beautiful and just what we were looking for for our quiet stay in County Clare. The house was within view of the beach and a short walk from downtown. We thoroughly enjoyed the Kilkee cliff walks and spending time roaming the countryside! The people of Kilkee were incredibly inviting and my friends and I would love to return someday.

  • Excellent property hosted by an owner who embraces fully the Air BnB culture. A few friends and I stayed here for a wedding and we were blown away by the sheer generosity of the homeowner so much so that we left a little extra for him upon departure. Recommend for all to stay and I'll certainly return. A great way to start out our long weekend.

  • We stayed here on the 19/08/17 as a family of four we loved this house. The house was spacious, beautifully decorated and spotlessly clean, the wifi and sky box was great added bonus which our kids were delighted with. The house was well equipped with all mod cons a lovely stove fire and our host had kindly stocked the fridge with essentials. Our host Kenneth was an absolute gentleman, and it was a pleasure to deal with him as he couldn't have been more welcoming. The area was fantastic the beach was a two min walk with the town beyond it only five min walk. There is so much to do in the area taking in the beautiful sights this house would make a perfect base for a holiday our only regret was not staying longer.
