A beautiful little village, over the road from a wonderful little park and 2 mins to the Shepherds Crook village pub with roaring log fires, cosy chairs and a gorgeous home cooked menu. Regular buses take you in to Thame and Oxford. The Chiltern Hills are a beautiful, unspoilt part of the country. They lie close to the north-west of London and yet retain their rural character. The government designated them as an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty in 1965, recognising their place as part of the finest countryside in England. The neighbouring sister village of Aston Rowant has a rich history stretching back to the Domesday Book in the year 1086. The original village church probably dates from the 11th century, although there may have been a Saxon church on the same site prior to the Norman conquest.
  • Mark, Lou and Bailey were the most perfect hosts. We stayed for 1 night due to attending a wedding in Adwell. From the initial booking, checking in early to breakfast we couldn't fault our stay. The house is beautiful and the bed is so comfy. The highlight of our stay was Bailey! Not only did he show us around on arrival, he played with our daughter whilst we settled in and happily shared his toys and play room. We hope to stay with Mark, Lou and Bailey again.

  • We have had a great time at Lou and Mark's place. As shown in the pictures, their house is gorgeous: comfortable, cosy, and very finely decorated. The garden is beautiful too. Mark and Lou have been helpful, and our children enjoyed playing with their son a lot in the well-equipped playing room. Thanks.

The gardens are tranquil and colorful, the hospitality is delightful, and the tiny village is picturesque. We were able to do our laundry to be fresh for the remainder of our travels. The family is open and very kind. Highly recommend!

    Ellen2016-07-16T00:00:00Z
  • Lou, Mark and Bailey were the perfect hosts, even though we were all busy over the weekend, nothing seemed to be too much trouble. They even babysat our puppy for the evening allowing us to go out for a dog free evening. Would definitely stay there again and would recommend it to everyone! Home away from home and everything you could possibly need was provided.

  • The Dairy is a great place to stay if you're wanting to explore Buckinghamshire and Oxfordshire. 10 minute drive from Thame and easy access to major towns and cities. The Dairy is well setup for self catering with full kitchen facilities and a washing machine. Individual electric radiators meant we could make it as cosy as we wanted - not always the case in English homes! Light, airy and spacious, it was ideal for our family stay. Thank you Philippa for the lovely home touches - fresh flowers in the sitting room, milk and bread in the kitchen and lovely soaps/hand lotions in the bathroom. We highly recommend The Dairy as a great place to stay.

  • Wonderful, secluded accommodation separate from the family house. Made to feel very welcome despite late arrival. Breakfast served in the house by Katrina between 7 and 9 was delicious with choice of full English or continental. Lots to do in the area with great local pubs (you will definitely need a car).

  • A beautiful setting and delicious breakfast! Katrina and Charlie were very friendly and accommodating. The room is very comfortable and as nice as the photos. We would definitely recommend a stay at The Courtyard (and a walk in the surrounds).

  • Spacious, attractive, accommodation with everything you need for a comfortable stay - including tea making facilities and fresh milk. Our substantial breakfast was good and held in the main house, giving an opportunity to chat to our friendly and informative host. We would recommend to our friends and stay again.

    Margaret2017-06-10T00:00:00Z
  • The Courtyard at Wainhill is a spacious, luxurious, completely self contained, log cabin situated in a truly idyllic setting looking onto the Ridgeway - it is part of a working farm owned by Katrina and her very welcoming and hospitable family. The cabin itself is very tastefully furnished, has an ensuite bathroom, it's own decked terrace, and all the facilities that you would need for any length of stay. Breakfast is taken in the main house and it was delicious ! We took our standard poodle Oscar and he was in ' doggy heaven ! ' He had Katrina's two dogs to play with, the most beautiful, enclosed, safe, huge, garden to enjoy and even his own towel, bowel and bed provided - this is what you really call ' dog friendly !' The only down side to our lovely stay there was the fact that we weren't there for long enough to explore all the varied and interesting places we could have seen. All in all, an extremely enjoyable and comfortable stay !

    Leila2017-07-18T00:00:00Z
  • Beautiful location - peaceful and secluded with a glorious view. Can't recommend Katrina's cabin enough

  • Longway Cottage is a real gem, and is a perfect place from which to explore the Chilterns. I was working locally, and the apartment was perfectly located very close to my place of work. I also had a decent amount of free time, and had a wonderful time exploring this area of outstanding natural beauty. The apartment is quiet, comfortable, and spotlessly clean. Communication with Lloyd and Nicola was smooth and professional. I met them both, and they are lovely people. Highly recommended.

  • We had a fabulous time staying at the pool house. The kids absolutely loved the private pool. There's something for everyone in the surrounding area. The pool house was clean and modern and made smart use of the space; being able to accomadate 6 guests was great. Gary was very welcoming and a great host. We will definitely plan to stay again.

  • Fantastic stay. Gary and wife were very helpful and friendly. Our children had a fabulous time interacting with the horses in the stables under Gary's supervision.

  • A really fantastic and high spec newly refurb'd property in an enviable location, nestled between the Chiltern Hills and the rolling green fields of Oxfordshire (Midsomer)... Gary was an excellent attentive friendly host, helpful in every way. The Sky box, large TV and audio system raise the bar. Oh, and did we mention the private pool? Wow! Thank you Gary and the team at Upper Farm. See you all again soon we hope.

  • We loved it, me , my sister and best friend were absolutely in our element! Fantastic mod cons and the hot tub was on point! What a beautiful setting and home! We'd love to come back Xxx

  • The Poolhouse was the perfect holiday retreat that we were hoping for and we were incredibly sad to leave. Gary was an excellent host, really clear instructions from the start, so helpful throughout and really friendly when we arrived. We felt at home right away. The pool is incredible (especially on a hot day) and we were very lucky that the hot tub had been installed the day before we arrived which was absolute bliss (especially after a long walk in the surrounding countryside and on a cool evening). The house itself was great too and we were completely content staying in and cooking of an evening. I'd not hesitate to go back and will hopefully return to Henton soon! Thanks Gary!

  • We had a wonderful, relaxing stay - despite the weather not being great. The kitchen was fully equipped, really comfortable bed, clean and Gary was great getting back to us with queries and gave us all we needed to know well in advance. We'd really recommend staying here. Lovely place (and the hot tub was fab!)

We live surrounded by the most beautiful countryside and enjoy wonderful views but are only 5 minutes drive from junction 6 on the M40. Footpaths and bridleways abound in the area and there are many good pubs and restaurants near. Oxford is about 25 minutes drive away. There are several National Trust properties in the area. Thame is a market town 10 minutes drive away which has Waitrose and Sainsburys supermarkets in addition to facilities for everything you might need.
The Thatched Barn forms part of the stable courtyard where some of the buildings are 600 years old. The original granary on staddle stones is next door and there is the remains of a dovecote opposite. The place has huge charm.
  • Beautiful location and wonderful barn which has everything you need !! Clean, spacious, stunning countryside. We loved our stay and will definitely be and again !

A lovely 3 bedroomed house in the village of Stokenchurch. Modern, bright, airy and peaceful. Convenient location only minutes from the M40 so within easy commuting distance of both London and Oxford. Close to shops, restaurants, and all local amenities. Our house is the perfect place to unwind and explore the local area. Perfect for families, couples, business travellers, relocations, projects, companies etc.
The house has a standard layout with an entrance hall, large living room and modern kitchen downstairs. Upstairs there are three bedrooms with double beds and a family bathroom. There are both front and rear gardens. A driveway is also provided at the side with free parking for 2+ cars. There is also space for 2+ more cars at the front.
Stokenchurch is a village within Wycombe district in Buckinghamshire. It is a conservation area in the Chiltern Hills, about 3 miles (4.8 km) south of Chinnor in Oxfordshire and 6 miles (9.7 km) west of High Wycombe. It is located along the A40 road next to junction 5 of the London to Birmingham M40 motorway near the Stokenchurch Gap. This ensures easy access to London and Oxford and its rural location also make Stokenchurch a well placed commuter village. The Stokenchurch BT Tower outside the village to the West is a highly visible landmark on the edge of the Chilterns and pinpoints the village's location.

  • Peters communication and friendly manner from initial enquiries through to completion of the booking and during our stay were exceptional. On arrival the house was very impressive; a very clean and modern lovely house and every little detail was taken care of. The breakfast basket and wine made it feel extra special. Would highly recommend.

  • Accurate description from the blurb and photos. The house was very well equipt and a great location for London and surrounding area. There is also a convenient small food shop within walking distance. Plenty of space for our party of 6 adults, 1 baby, a dog (and 3 cars). Peter was very quick and efficient with all correspondence.

  • A beautiful little barn conversion in spectacular grounds. Lovely to be able to walk around all the lakes in the garden, especially in spring... watch out for the swan! The house was clean and beautifully decorated. Kitchen, tv & Wi-Fi all great. Shops and essentials within a short drive, and the stay is convenient if you are visiting Oxford. We enjoyed meeting and chatting with our hosts. Thanks for sharing this wonderful property!

  • A really nice cosy nicely converted farm building. The location is beautifully rural, we didn't locate local shops, so turning up with some food might be a good idea! We only stayed a couple of nights using it as a base but enjoyed ourselves alot, the host is great and let us walk around the lake and grounds. We'll have to come back!

    Catherine2017-08-27T00:00:00Z
  • I stayed here because it wasn't far from work. There were many positives with this stay and only one negative which I am sure the hosts will not forget next time. I slept very well like I haven't slept in a long time because the heating in the room is very good. The cottage has a really nice rustic feel, it is spacious, I loved the upper part, with the room, a small office and even the bathroom. Didn't spend much time in the living room but it is well spaced. I think the place is great whether for getting away from everything to rest or for a work trip. It felt a bit isolated but I can't comment much because I did not explore the area as I stayed for work only. The kitchen is not super equipped compared to other places I have been but it is good enough. The only negative was the oven which was very greasy and I had to clean it, at least you won't experience this issue :). I had to highlight this for fairness but I am sure this will never happen again as I have a feeling the hosts were not aware of it. I didn't meet Tom as a host, but the hosts that received me are super nice and very helpful. I arrived late and it was OK, I forgot my pyjama shirt and they were very nice to keep it and allowing me to pick on the following week. On top of everything, I have spent the last 3 weeks in different AirBnb's and this was the best value for sure. I highly recommend it especially for the value.

  • Beautiful surroundings and spacious converted stable on an estate. We stayed 4 nights and enjoyed the blissful location. Definitely recommeded for anyone wanting a country experience.

    Claudia2017-05-16T00:00:00Z
  • This quiet spot is conveniently about 2 minutes drive from an M40 junction and therefore very easy to find as well as being only 20 minutes into Oxford. Tom and Imogen were perfect hosts. They gave extra directions because I was arriving after dark, made sure I'd arrived safely and visited to make sure everything was OK, and even called me a few days later to check. It is a very tiny but newly refurbished barn/cottage - simple, but very clean and comfortable with (critically for me) good WIFI as well as lots of hot water and excellent heating. I was very happy there. I would recommend stopping off at Watlington for supplies (you pass through it on the way) where there is a good Co-op. Meanwhile the Leathern Bottle (5 minutes, Lewknor) has excellent wine and a good choice of food.

  • Bens place was great! Cozy room, with nice views out of large windows. Super quiet, and super peaceful! The perfect weekend getaway. Made even better by the little touches; a little breakfast left in the fridge, plentiful coffee, tea and milk. And a little bottle of red wine! Add to the perfect surroundings a pub with possibly the best tasting menu I've ever had just up the road and it's the best little holiday we've had in a while. Wifi worked perfectly, bathroom is small but totally fine if your just a couple. Trust in your gps, as there's not much reception out on the roads!

This is a country retreat with your own private, detached first floor apartment in the grounds of a historic thatched home. Your accommodation was originally built as a studio for the 20th Century Artist, Stanley Anderson. His work is still highly desirable today and recently had his own exhibition at the Royal Academy. He was inspired by the country setting and peace. The apartment consists of an open plan lounge diner/ kitchen, a very spacious double bedroom and a compact but modern and well equipped shower room. We provide all bedding, towells and a fully equipped kitchen. There is one king size bed in the bedroom and a brand new double sofa bed in the lounge. The king size bed has a lovely pocket spring mattress. The sofa bed is best for children or teenagers. While it is a good quality sofa bed it does have the limitations of being a sofa bed! We have a superb washing machine and free wifi
Towersey is a small, traditional village about 1 mile from the very pretty market town of Thame. Towersey has many thatched and other historic buildings, a park, a church, a village pub with a good beer garden. The village is on a minor road so is generally quiet with light traffic only. The apartment is in the garden of the main house. The main house is thatched, built in around 1620 and was believed to be the village blacksmiths (we regularly find old horseshoes in the gardens). The apartment itself is believed to have been built in the 1930's (with a tiled roof) and was used as a studio for famous artist Stanley Anderson who escaped the bombing of London to complete many of the works that earn him a highly covered fellowship of the Royal Academy

Private Studio with Own Access - Studio 1, The Coach House
The Coach House has two studios on the first floor, and both are on Air Bnb. Studio 1 is slightly smaller although it does have a larger bed- a king- and there is also a futon in the room too, suitable for one person or a child for an additional £7 a night; it's one open plan space. There is a fully functioning kitchen so you can cater for yourself, with a fridge, oven, hob, kettle, toaster and microwave. There is also a washer/ dryer. We have a small tv which has freeview. The bathroom is clean and modern with a shower over the bath. Although we are close to the motorway, you can't hear the road noise unless you leave the windows open. We are in a very convenient place for travelling to both London and Oxford, Bicester Village and nearly Thame. Nearest train stations are Haddenham and Thame Parkway (13 mins away, into London in 40 mins) and High Wycombe (20 mins away and into London in 23 mins) We welcome dogs, at an additional charge of £5 a day that is not included in the cost shown. We have cats and chickens running around the garden, so we ask you to keep dogs on a lead although there are fields next door and lots of nice walks! You are welcome to use the table and chairs set aside outside for the Coach House.
  • This is a very comfortable place to stay. Gemma was very easy to communicate with and quickly sorted out a hiccup with the key. It didn't bother us too much but if road noise is an issue for you then the close proximity of the M40 might be a consideration. Less so in cooler months when windows closed. We would be very happy to stay again.

  • Gemma and Nick were great hosts with a lovely place to stay; their communication prior and during our trip was excellent. Loved there were basics like milk, coffee, tea, sugar, etc.....plus not so essential, croissants and jam waiting! Towels are fluffy, main bed was comfy. Location very picturesque, loved looking at the garden. As for the motorway noise, we didn't find it a problem at all, happily having the windows open all day. Would return again if in the area - Thank You

Great base for walking or visiting the market towns of Henley-0n-thames, Marlow or Thame. Bring your own dog (or horse!) Close to Turville and Fingest where Vicar of Dibble, Midsomer Murders, Nanny Mcphee etc filmed. Great local pubs.
The views from the bedroom/sitting area are amazing - down the valley to the village of Fingest. You will definitely see Red Kites flying and often deer and barn owls too. There is a TV and wifi as well as a sofa, dining table and chairs. Outside there is a seating area with garden chairs and table for enjoying the view.
We are in the most amazing location, not only beautiful countryside, walking and cycling but a short drive to the delightful riverside market towns of Henley on Thames and Marlow. The Gardener's Cottage is a delightful, newly renovated retreat with private garden. Set in the grounds of a Queen Anne Rectory, it has 17th Century charm with the convenience & comfort of modern fittings. The cottage is self-catering but there are great places to eat locally or we can provide breakfast hampers. With easy access to London (train 35mins), on the Ridgeway, in a picturesque rural setting, it is an ideal location for couples, families, walkers, cyclists & business travellers.
An extremely comfortable home from home with open plan kitchen-dining-sitting room on the ground floor, and upstairs a dual aspect master bedroom, single bedroom and luxury bathroom. It is accessed via its own separate garden and front door. Many of the original features have been retained. There is oak flooring throughout. Whilst the Gardener's Cottage was built in the 17th Century it has been fully renovated this year and is more fully described below. Kitchen The kitchen has a Nespresso Coffee Machine; Induction Hob and Oven; Bosch Dishwasher; large Fridge Freezer; Microwave; Toaster and granite work surfaces. It contains a full range of kitchen items - whether you only wish to warm something up or cook a full Sunday roast. Dining The scrubbed pine table can easily accommodate four people. Sitting There is a double sofa and an arm chair. If there are more than three of you we can provide extra seating or kids beanbags. There is WiFi and a TV with Netflix. Bathroom A major feature of the cottage is the glorious double ended bath - one of the deepest and comfiest we've come across and perfect for relaxing by candlelight. There is a separate shower. To ensure maximum comfort there are warm fluffy towels and underfloor heating. Master Bedroom A King sized bed with lots of pillows, fluffy mattress topper and fabulous bed linen. The bedroom is vaulted and has windows to the East and West giving you Morning and evening sunshine & views over the garden and countryside. There are drawers and hanging. Single Bedroom This is set up as a kid's room with a small single bed, books, toys and desk. There is room for a travel cot (which we can provide if required), but it is not a big room. The curtains are black-out and there is a stair gate for the top of the stairs. Outside The Gardener's Cottage has its own private garden with well stocked cottage garden beds, a lawn, terrace and outdoor seating.
We are located two miles from the market town of Princes Risborough, in a rural setting. The Chiltern's contain fabulous walking and both The Ridgeway and The Chiltern Way pass through our property, so you are ideally situated to enjoy the vast network of Public Footpaths. The Phoenix Trail, a traffic free cycle route, can be accessed less than two miles away and provides a family friendly cycle ride to Thame. For those who appreciate fine dining, we are extremely close to both The Charles Napier and The Mash Inn. Slightly further afield are Le Manoir aux Quat'Saison and The Crazy Bear. There are also many slightly lower key pubs with a more every day offering - some of which can form part of a circular walk. Hughenden Manor, the West Wycombe Estate and Waddesdon Manor are all close by - as are the towns of Henley, Marlow, Thame and Berkhamsted - or for those who would like a retail extravaganza - Bicester Village is only two stops on the train. We have four children and are therefore well acquainted with things to do and see in the area.
  • We had a really lovely short break at this fabulous cottage. It is in a beautiful setting and feels separate from the main house. Karen was a perfect host, nothing was too much for her to do for us. The cottage has everything we needed, the living space is lovely, warm and cosy and the bedrooms were nice and comfy. The surrounding land and area is fabulous with a whole host of walks on the doorstep or a short drive away. Karen was really helpful with things to do and there was plenty of information provided as well. The animals are all friendly and definitely kept our little girl entertained. We had a wonderful time here, hope to visit again soon and would highly recommend this gem of a place to others.

  • Lovely cottage, with a fantastic garden - great location, rural but close enough to amenities, lots to do in the area. Cottage is set within owner's grounds, however, is away from the main house and very private. Beds were comfortable, all needs were catered for - tea, coffee and milk provided which was great to find on arrival, and the lemon cake was delicious. Karen and her family were all extremely welcoming and helpful. My son loved staying here and meeting all the animals as well - he didn't want to leave ! We will definitely be returning. I highly recommend a stay at this beautiful cottage.

  • It was our second stay and was wonderful again. More tasty cakes and considerate hosting from Karen. My son is still talking about the horses and the cats!

    Harry2017-09-09T00:00:00Z
  • This was such a perfect choice. The cottage is extremely pretty, well equipped and tidy, and in secluded and beautiful surroundings. Karen is the friendliest possible host, as were her family. We loves playing with the kittens and dogs. Highly recommend for a peaceful weekend away in lovely countryside.

  • It's a really great, fantastic place!!! Highly recommended

  • An absolutely lovely cottage in simply breathtaking surroundings. Karen and her family could not have been more helpful or accommodating and I would thoroughly recommend visiting here. If you want to be active then you have acres of land to explore, tennis to play and can even attempt the scavenger hunt (which is probably for the children but we enjoyed all the same). For the lazier like us then you have the luxury of your own garden to just relax and unwind. The animals are really friendly and well behaved, I am amazed the dogs didn't end up being sneaked in our car as we left :o). You should definitely check out the pigs and give their belly's a rub too. Thank you for such a lovely weekend and am sure we will be back in the near future. Rich & Rebecca.

  • This was the perfect Airb&b experience! I stayed for one night with my young son and he enjoyed it as much as I did. Perfectly set in the buckhimshire countryside, we were sent detailed directions the day before from Host Karen. On arrival we were showed around garden, introduced to the two dogs and kitttens. My little one loved it. Karen has thought of everything for the cottage, from books about the Chilterns, to every peice of cutlery, utensil and crockery that you could need. The cottage also has a garden for guests at the back with tables and chairs on the patio, and more seating on the grass if you prefer to sit there. The hosts here are really friendly and brownies and strawberries on arrival were a lovely touch. Highly recommended, you won't be disappointed.

  • We had a lovely one night stay at this cottage. Our toddler was delighted with garden, dogs, cats and pigs. Breakfast hamper, toys, cot and high chair all perfect. Only sorry we couldn't stay longer.

There is a nice open plan feel to our home with great views of the chilterns from many rooms. The area is very quiet and guests say they enjoy the peacefulness of the area; especially as we live down a private road without danger of bumping into much traffic.
Airy double bedroom with great views of the Chilterns. Fantastic base for walking, cycling and sampling great local food. Oxford is 20 minutes away and London 40 minutes so great for taking in sights of the dreaming spires or the delights of the capital. There is free wi-fi, satellite TV, car parking, tea and coffee facilities and breakfast thrown in too! We are a family of four, although our grown up daughters are now rarely here. We also have a ginger cat called George who is very friendly and a chicken called Judy. The neighbourhood is generally quiet and it is a real chance to get away from it all. There are some awesome walks directly from the house. There are two great pubs in the Village, one of which has earned a Michelin star if you really appreciate your food. The other is very much a local pub but has local bands that play from time to time. If you don't have a car, a short walk to Stokenchurch will put you on the bus route which can take you into High Wycombe. But ideally, you would benefit from a car to explore the area properly. A stay in Radnage is an opportunity to enjoy a wonderfully English village set in the stunning Chiltern Hills. You will see Red Kites circling overhead and will definitely see them from your bedroom window. We promise too to make your visit as comfortable as possible and we look forward to meeting you very soon!
The Crown pub at Radnage has been refurbished in Spring 2017. Looks great, good food and 5 minute level walk from the house. There is an amazing Nepalese restaurant in Stokenchurch and also an Indian restaurant on the outskirts of the village.
  • Dee and John were very chatty, extremely nice and the stay with them was overall a pleasure. When we did our laundry and came in late in the evening, John had collected all our clothes from the outside clothes line so they won't get moist again! Such thoughtfulness. Would definitely like to visit again!

    Igor2014-07-02T00:00:00Z
  • Thank you so much, Dee and John, for the truly delightful time that we spent in Radnage. You are both fantastic hosts and made us feel very welcome and at home. We loved chatting with you and wished that we lived closer! You have a lovely home. Thank you for the wonderful breakfasts - perfect - and the bed was so comfortable; we both slept like logs! Sending lots of love...xxxx. C and J.

  • A second stay this year at Katie's beautiful home, as part of another business trip. Katie was again a friendly and welcoming host, and the facilities available are simply excellent. Very highly recommended.

    Caroline2015-09-13T00:00:00Z
  • Amazing place in a great bit of the English countryside. The accommodation is of the highest standard as are the views and hospitality. A special mention should go to the local passion fruit yoghurt, which was truly extraordinarily good.

    Clive2016-03-07T00:00:00Z
  • Katie is a warm and understanding host. And this is a lovely private room as pretty as it looks in the photos. The garden and surrounding countryside are beautiful. There are friendly and picturesque country pubs nearby that serve good food. It's an escape-from-it-all sort of place--I had limited mobile phone reception in the Chilterns and my phone picked up the wireless connection intermittently.

    Sarah2014-06-23T00:00:00Z
  • Katie is a lovely hostess and so very helpful in organizing adventuring, eating well, getting to know the local gems. I didn't know this area, but fell in love with its natural beauty, caring people, and the reverence for both tradition and future generations. Katie's home is charming, immaculate situated in a most beautiful and peaceful valley. Highly recommended!!

    JoAn2014-11-16T00:00:00Z
  • I have been looking for a retreat in the beautiful English countryside, and I could not have possibly found one that would embody all of my expectations. The description of the private accommodations does not do it justice. I enjoyed private living room, with a desk to do all my writing, to the well-equipped dining hall, spacious shower, bedroom with an exit to the picturesque lawn, visited all day by pheasants, partridges, and beautiful red kites above. Stepping outside the front door, there is an amazing choice of walking paths and incredible views. The villages in the area have an aura of timelessness, and it is no wonder that so many movies and mysteries chose their streets, houses, inns, pubs, churches, manors, locks, pastures, and city halls for their filming locations. With Oxford being just about half an hour away, enjoying occasional public lectures, galleries, or shopping was a real treat. I am in a debt to the local walking group, the Ibstone Amblers, that put up with my slow walking, making it possible for me to explore walks I would have otherwise never attempted on my own. My fondest memories will remain of my host, Katie, and her wonderful family. Helpful, aware of my particular needs and circumstances, kind, and cheerful, she has made my 40 day stay a memorable experience. This is an experience that goes beyond discovery of beautiful Chilterns --- it provided me with a sense of the community that makes it all come alive.

    Branka2015-12-14T00:00:00Z
  • Beautiful and charming accommodations with lots of room. A gem!

    Stephen2017-09-07T00:00:00Z
  • The tranquillity of staying in such a beautiful countryside setting in such cosy little home, was beyond words. It made me feel as if I stayed much longer than I did. Katie was so hospitable and took care of small little details regarding food and the place was very clean and well organised. It was clear it had the visitor's comfort in mind. I would return here anytime, it was amazing. It is advisable to have own transport.

We have table tennis, board games, gym & hot tub for your enjoyment. Tea, coffee & clean fresh towels in your room to help make your stay relaxing.
Our home is a three story house in the country. We have a very large garden with ample patio areas and seating for your use, along with a spacious balcony decking area. The main room is a large, light room overlooking the tennis courts on a non-through road, with easy access to Thame town centre and good bus and rail links to London and Oxford. The house has an open plan main living room/kitchen/diner and a beautiful garden which you are welcome to use. There is also a second smaller room if there are more than 2 in your party, both rooms have comfortable king size beds.
This is the best house I have ever lived in, and reflects my slightly quirky character. Its filled with artwork, glasswork, tin toys and lego amongst other things.
This house is situated in one of the most pleasant parts of Thame, 10 minutes walk from the town centre, offering a good selection of local pubs and places to eat within walking distance.
  • Dani's house is well located in Thame and the accommodation is comfortable, clean and well presented. Dani is a friendly, welcoming and interesting host who is at pains to ensure her visitors have an enjoyable stay.

  • A very warm reception from our lovely host Dani made us feel welcome and relaxed. Thoughtful touches added to our comfort including an amazing selection of teas were put out for us as well as fruit and biscuits (which we were not expecting). Luxurious warm and light feather duvet and pillows with fresh cotton cover. It was convenient to be offered a set of keys each. Clean and comfortable throughout. A Gorgeous room and Brilliant location.

My place is close to Oxford, Windsor, High Wycombe and Heathrow, and actually in the Chiltern Hills. 2 miles to stations on line into Baker Street, London. You’ll love my place because of the warmth of your welcome, your sizeable room, with comfy bed and bay window. Tea and coffee on tap.
Our home is simple but filled with good energy. My husband is often to be found in the green house tending to the scented geraniums. It's worth a visit just for the lovely smell inside. The red kites sometimes use the back 100 metres of grass as a swooping ground, if there is a tasty morsel there. Finding us in the dark, can be a problem, but I am thinking a Halloween lantern on nights of arrival will make the house very visible!
It is a very down to earth rural neighbourhood, with Princes Risborough, a small market town, close by. Markets abound of course in all the neighbouring towns. Drive for ten minutes to find yourself a place to park and head for the hills. Drive for ten to twenty minutes to find yourself a small town to visit and have a coffee. Or if you are on business then enjoy a bit of home from home.
  • Heather and Glen were very welcoming, the room was light, well equipped and spacious and I had a great night's sleep in the wonderfully comfortable double bed. Breakfast was a welcome, added bonus! Thank you both for making it a lovely overnight stay.

Set within the beautiful Chiltern area of Christmas common. Our apartment is an annex space set over our large garage adjacent to our family home. We have multiple parking spaces available for use. An en-suite bathroom with two single beds in a bedroom along with a double sofa bed available for use. Kitchen diner equipped with all your basic needs as well as a digital TV. Great country walks as well as lovely country pubs great for a Sunday lunch or as a stop off point. Excellent cycle tracks.
A cosy one bed apartment set in an idyllic country spot.
Excellent views of the country side. Property can be found down a country lane set back away from the road.
  • Had a fantastic time, location is out of the way and can be a little difficult to find. Upon arrival she'd left out free range eggs from the chickens in the garden, which I thought was a nice touch. The way they've used the space available is great. Bathroom is minimalist aesthetics, which is pleasing. Living room is spacious with a sofa, which opens out to sofa bed. TV signal can be a bit hit and miss in the evening. But they provide a small selection of DVD's for you to watch. Including WIFI would make this space even better, as phone signal isn't always available through out the apartment.

The Cross Keys pub is less than 10 minutes away by walk. The room is bright, newly decorated and very quiet (double glazing), the bed mattress is as new and high quality. The house is detached, spacious and in a quiet cul de sac within walking distance to the centre of Thame.

  • Marie welcomed us into her home, which is situated in a very peaceful location. We enjoyed a good night's sleep there.

    Pauline2016-07-04T00:00:00Z
  • Marie was quick to reply to my request to stay and made sure I could get into the house easily even though she and her husband weren't there at the time. It was a lovely clean room and had a very comfy bed. It had its own bathroom located next to the bedroom and this included a bath with nice toiletries there ready for guest use. Marie likes to add a little extra touch to make things really special. It's a short walk into Thame and when my husband joined me for a couple of nights we were able to try out a couple of the restaurants. Marie recommended the Thatch and this was a gastro pub on the high street with really good food. The Star and Garter (less than half a mile away) also offered a great curry. This was a quiet house in a quiet location so if you need somewhere peaceful to stay this is a great place to go.

This is a spacious double private bedroom in a pretty Georgian townhouse. Comfortable room with original floor boards, a cast iron bed, really good mattress and fresh cotton bedding. The house also doubles as a pop-up gallery, with original art to view and buy, and a friendly yellow Labrador in residence. There is free wifi, tea and coffee, a roll-top bath (or shower) and luxury bath towels. Breakfast is not provided but there are numerous eateries within a short walking distance.
I'm a designer and agent, so my house is often used to host pop-up galleries and creative events. You will find stunning artwork on the walls, some of which is available to view and buy, should you wish. Artists on display come from all over the UK and each has a unique story to tell.

  • Excellent house in a lovely town. Emma was friendly, helpful and chatty (even if we did stumble onto Brexit a few times!). Would recommend staying here.

  • Emma was very welcoming and a fun, interesting person, who is very easy to get on with. She has a rich background of experiences, from which we found a lot of common ground. The bedroom and bathroom were excellent and I had a very good evening.

  • We had a very comfortable stay with Emma and Nick. We were in town for a 70th birthday party and the house is very handy for town and we were able to easily walk to and from the party. Good communication beforehand so we knew exactly where to look for car parking. Emma and Nick are a good team. Emma checked us in and Nick waited up to let us in after the party. Large mugs of tea and pleasant chats added to our welcome. The bed was very comfy and the room right next to the bathroom. Even though the facilities were shared there was never a wait. Happy to recommend to anyone else looking to stay in Thame.

  • Emma made us really welcome and it was a perfect place for us to stay between an Oxfordshire party on Saturday and an an East Sussex party on Sunday, before returning home to Kent. We were welcomed with great coffee and the room was really comfortable, as was the bed. The Eight Bells in the nearby village of Long Crendon is worth a visit. On-street parking in Emma's road was also a bonus. We recommend this Airbnb.
