Kinver Holiday Rentals

Just booked in Kinver

Backing onto the National Trust's "Kinver Edge", and with views of the historic "Holy Austin Rock Houses", this self-contained apartment provides a perfect break for families, dog walkers and National Trust enthusiasts alike.
We're offering this self catered one bedroom flat for your use. The flat is detached from our house whilst still being on our property, and so we will be around to greet you and offer any guidance you require. The flat has a boot room for those muddy boots after your walks through the many hundreds of acres of National Trust land. The open plan kitchen/dining/living area is a great place to unwind afterwards, with a sofa bed offering further sleeping space. Our property backs onto the National Trust, offering views of the Holy Austin Rock Houses from the living area. The rural location we are in offers the space of Kinver Edge, with the convenience of being within walking distance to Kinver Village. The accommodation is self-catering, however, tea and coffee will be provided. We will also supply bedding, but you will need your own towels. Please bring your own travel cot if one is required for any little ones, as well as dog beds for your dogs. We do welcome dogs at the property, however as we have 2 dogs and 2 cats ourselves, we would ask that your dogs are kept under control, cleaned up after and also encouraged to remain off the furniture at all times.
Kinver is a beautiful, quaint village in South Staffordshire. With the vast space of Kinver Edge offering plenty of walks with scenic views, there is plenty to do. The village offers independent tea rooms, restaurants and plenty of pubs to choose from. We are close to Stourbridge and Kidderminster, as well as Bridgnorth which is another beautiful and unique village worth visiting. More information on Kinver Edge can be found at: (URL HIDDEN)

Enville is a small village which is surrounded by countryside. We think this is the greatest part about your potential Air B&B stay with us as anyone who is looking for peace, quiet and a countryside retreat we feel will love it here. About a 20 minute walk away is The Cat, an award winning British pub which serves real ales, wine and good food. A little further is Kinver which is slightly larger and has local village shops, the famous Kinver Edge walk is close by as are the Rock Houses, a National Trust location. The nearest town is Stourbridge which is a 15 minute drive away. Close also is The Merry Hill Centre and many Black Country towns, museums and history sites including The Black Country Museum and Clent Hills. We can, of course, make some recommendations if needed.
  • I had a very good stay at Jill and Rikki's. They were very attentive and warm hosts and made me feel very welcome. Generous breakfast in the morning is also provided. Thanks Jill and Rikki!

  • This was our first experience of Airbnb. Lovely cottage, so warm & cosy, bed was really comfortable. Breakfast was delicious and the hosts were really nice and made us feel so welcome. Definitely will be visiting again when next over this way.

  • Jill gave us a very warm and friendly welcome offering us tea and cake on arrival. Bubbles the poodle was also enthusiastic in his greeting! The room was spacious and well appointed with a large soft bed - the kind you sink into! In fact the whole cottage is charming and quaint. It is very rural and accessed by an unmettalled road but sat nav took us straight to the door without any problems. Jill made a real effort over breakfast which was delicious! Over all this was a great place to stay - you do have to drive if you want to go out for meals etc but my daughter loved watching squirrels and robins from the bedroom window. It's a lovely peaceful retreat.

    Erica2016-10-26T00:00:00Z
  • Perfect location for our needs. We had a wonderful roam around the homestead looking at the animals. Lovely varied breakfasts, and Jill is very open to accommodating those with specific dietary requirements. Tea making facilities in the room was a lovely surprise. I often don't stay at pet owner's homes due to some light fur allergies and the fact that most dogs dislike my husband! Their miniature poodle was a lovely friendly and calm companion and the house was very clean. I would love to stay again!

  • Jill is a wonderful host even when she is feeling under the weather, so if you stay with her when she is well again you are in for a very warm welcome. Very interesting woman living in a tranquil setting off the beaten track! Highly recommended . Simon Andrews

  • Dawn was very welcoming, the room was lovely and made to feel at home. The cottage is on a steep hill, so walking to Kinver is only for the fit!!

  • Dawn and her family made me feel welcome and comfortable. The beautiful cottage was set on the out skirts of Kinver Village. The cottage was clean and comfortable. The bed was soft and warm. Also, within a safe walking distance to excellent food and Kinver Edge Walking Paths and Stone Houses. The enchanting bells of the Normandy Church were a quiet reminder of the villages past. (they were barely noticeable ) Socks and Tess the family dogs, were well behaved and friendly. I was sad to leave!

    Sue2015-10-25T00:00:00Z
  • Dawn was very welcoming and the accommodation was comfortable, with its own bathroom. Breakfast was great. We fell in love with her two dogs. Kinver had a good range of pubs and restaurants.

    Graham2016-06-17T00:00:00Z
  • Dawn made us feel extremely welcome from the start in her delightful cottage, which is perfectly situated for visiting Kinver Edge, St Peter's Church and Kinver village, where there are numerous restaurants and pubs. The room was very cosy and provided with toiletries, a hospitality tray and a TV. Dawn let us have free run of the kitchen where we were able to make our own breakfast and drinks. As a former resident of Kinver it was lovely to be back and find such a home from home. Come and visit! It's a lovely quiet area and a paradise for walkers.

    Juanita2016-05-05T00:00:00Z
  • I had a fantastic stay with Dawn over the 5 days I was there. The house was beautifully decorated, clean and situated in a very picturesque village. Upon arrival I was given a warm welcome and was instantly made to feel at ease. The room itself had everything I needed ..including a very comfortable bed! I also have to mention breakfast! Despite having to leave very early each day Dawn kindly left out a delightful breakfast spread for me each day. Overall I would say this is one of the best air BnB trips I have made, Dawn really has made sure that she has catered for everything, I couldn't recommend staying here more highly. It would be perfect for anyone looking for a little retreat somewhere quiet and peaceful and is equally suitable for business travel. (If you do make the trip I really would recommend having a little walk up the road to explore Kinver edge too! )

    Thomas2016-05-28T00:00:00Z
  • Dawn and her family were extremely accommodating and friendly. A lovely room and a brilliant stay - Perfect for an exhausted traveller! Thanks so much

  • Dawn wasn't available for our arrival, but made sure we were welcomed. The room was clean and comfortable and the breakfast the next morning was very plentiful. Thank you for making us feel at home. It was a shame that we weren't able to stay for longer to see more of beautiful Kinver.

  • Rhiannon and Adrian's place was so peaceful and quiet! The studio offered beautiful views and it was nice just to sit and watch the cats and chickens in the garden. The studio was immaculately clean, tidy and comfortable and we had everything we needed for a pleasant stay. We only stayed the one night for a wedding nearby but wish we could have stayed an extra night and enjoy the peace and quiet of the countryside and cosiness of the studio! We didn't meet Adrian but Rhiannon was a great host and lovely to speak with. Highly recommended!

    Carly2017-07-30T00:00:00Z
  • Accommodation was exactly as described, very clean and comfortable. The location is secluded with many walks and has interesting places close by. Rhiannon and Adrian are great hosts; very friendly, accommodating and helpful. I would recommend their place to stay.

  • We had a lovely stay in this great location. The Annexe has everything you need and is spotlessly clean. The view from the annexe is gorgeous. Our hosts were great at providing us with information on the local area. We would recommend the local walks and a trip to the reservoir. We ate at the Three Crowns and Sugarloaf around a 20 minute walk away, perfect for a cheap but great meal and beer! Would definitely recommend a stay here!

    Charley2017-08-27T00:00:00Z
  • This was the first time of using AirBnB as all hotels were fully booked in the area and I'm so glad I found Rhiannon and Adrian's place. The accommodation is more than enough for a single traveller or even a couple. Has lovely views of the country side from the lounge area of the accomodation. Once booked I received very helpful directions that helped me find the location without any trouble. I was greeting by Rhiannon who showed me how to enter and exist the properly and where all the facilities were. I also had the honour of meeting the family pets too who are very friendly! This is a wonderful place to stay for peace and tranquillity but not too far from the town centre and I would be more than happy to stay here again, and with it being less than half price of some of the hotels in the area is a no brainer! Thank you Rhiannon and Adrian for a wonderful stay!

    Dave2017-07-08T00:00:00Z
  • Lovely room in a nice quiet location, hosted by lovely people. I would highly recommend this place to anyone looking to stay in the area.

    Carl2017-04-14T00:00:00Z
  • Not sure how to start this review, as I loved it so much. Arriving at Rhiannon's house is very easy. Parking the car up in their car port/drive and seeing the view I would wake to each day relieved my mind, knowing I would have tranquility, instead of the hustle and bustle of city noises. Rhiannon and Bramble welcomed me (along with the cats) into the home, where I had a much needed and appreciated coffee, before I set about getting ready for my evening ahead. Having left the property, Rhiannon set about turning a lamp on in the front room/kitchenette, meaning I could see easily once I was in the property, along with shutting the bedroom curtains. These little touches made me smile on both nights of my stay. The bed was more than comfortable, everything was so clean and tidy, and I had plenty of milk for my coffee's (thank you Rhiannon). Checking out was easy, although Rhiannon didn't want any help from me stripping the bed etc, I was more than willing to help. Basically, if Rhiannon's is available, book it, as I know I will stay again, hopefully soon, and fairly regularly! Thank you Rhiannon and Bramble for your outstanding hospitality, and warm home from home. Rachel xxx

  • Cosy, quiet, welcoming. A simple but tasteful room, very sweet, wooden floor, quiet street. Friendly, kind, helpful host who drew me a map to the park where I had a nice walk after work, round the corner. Shops and a nice smelling fish and chips shop close by, parking free and not too hard to find a space. A very pleasant stay, calm and relaxing.

  • Very Good Host , very welcoming, and very clean place. enjoyed my stay , will stay again if needs be.

  • Rachel is a great host. Her communication before hand was excellent. Her house is Ina quiet street but within walking distance of the town centre. You have to find a parking space somewhere in the road which I just managed to do. The bedroom was nice and clean and a decent shower/bath in the bathroom. Rachel also allows you to make use of the kitchen facilities downstairs, and kindly let me store some of my stuff downstairs, rather than carry it all up to my room. I would happily stay here again.

    Matt2017-09-29T00:00:00Z

The small living room/kitchen area has a fully fitted kitchen with fridge, cooker and microwave. There is a leather sofa and a wooden rocking chair to relax and watch colour TV. Living right next door we have a good knowledge of our area and although The Stable Is equipped with tourist information we often advise on whats happening and where.
Living in the middle of England almost everywhere is accessible in a day. London, Bath, Manchester, Liverpool. Having said that this area has a character of its own. The Black Country Museum has visitors from all over the world to view how it used to be in Victorian England. Surrounded by beautiful countryside and edged by the Worcs/South Staffs canal it has lots to offer.

My home is conveniently located to nearby Stourbridge and one mile from historic and picturesque Kinver. There are miles of scenic walks, particularly on Kinver Edge (which is owned by theNational Trust) and along the Staffs & Worcs canal. The canal and Stewponey locks are immediately across the road from the apartment. Stourbridge, which is a small market town, is a few minutes car ride away. There is a frequent train service to Birmingham, which means that it's possible to enjoy the countryside whilst still having easy access to the city. There is a private car park with ample visitor's spaces. A regular bus service runs to Stourbridge and Kinver. The bus stop is 100 metres from the apartment.
  • Stuart's flat is right on the A449, with the canal just behind and a cafe across the road, yet once you are inside you are not aware of any external noise. As I was on a long journey ease of finding the place and easy parking were attractions for me. The bed was comfortable and all facilities as described. When I arrived Stuart told me that I was his first Airbnb guest, but nothing in the booking process had given that away. I had booked last minute, and so had eaten before I arrived, but having seen and smelt his meal I can recommend taking him up his offer. I had food with me for breakfast and was able to store bits in the fridge and the freezer overnight, which is always a plus for me (as I have specific dietary requirements). I shall certainly hope to stay again, as the weather was so wet that I did not get to see the canal or the National Trust site at Kinver Edge. Hope you enjoy being an Airbnb host Stuart.

  • This was my first AirBnB experience and I really couldn't have picked a more welcoming and friendly place to stay! The room was spotless, the whole apartment is quiet, clean & comfortable with great facilities and in a beautiful part of the country. I slept like a baby on the single bed and was provided with fresh towels, delicious food and great conversation. I was really quite sad to leave by the end of my stay! Stuart is an absolutely world class host and couldn't do enough to make me feel at home during my stay. He's extremely polite, respectful, considerate and entertaining, with excellent taste in music, mad skills in the kitchen, and is generally just an all-round awesome guy :) Can't recommend him enough, would love to come visit again sometime! Thanks Stu!!

  • Stuart provided a very personal and generous air BNB experience. His apartment is clean and warm, with a very nice bathroom that you get all to yourself. Stu made me a cuppa anytime we were both around had delicious food making the apartment smell delicious every day. The bed was very cozy and my room was exactly what I needed. The price was great for the value, and Stuart's great knowledge of the area and of music and tv enriched the trip to Stourbridge. This was a fun and personable experience with a host who truly cares about his guests.

  • Stuart is a fantastic host. Hospitality and conversation were outstanding. Room was exactly as described, clean, warm and comfortable with the use of a private bathroom to myself. Perfectly located for me during my visit for work. While in Stuarts apartment, I spent most of my time in the lounge speaking with Stuart. I had full access to the lounge and kitchen. I definitely shall request to stay at Stuarts again when in the area if the room is available. I'd highly recommend Stuart as a host.

  • Great time with Stuart. The room was in perfect state. I enjoyed chatting with Stuart. I highly recommend stay at Stuart´s flat.

  • Stuart made me feel very welcome and at home from the moment I arrived. His apartment is very clean and tidy, and the room / bathroom were perfect for my needs. He was happy to chat about anything and everything but never intruded on my privacy. Location is excellent for travel into the nearby towns or Birmingham city centre and there are lots and lots of local country walks that Stuart can tell you about.

This is a 2 foot wide, dense foamy on the floor in a tiny room classed as a 'cot' room, very comfy but only ok for a night or 2. The room is available from 6.0 pm to 10.0 am most days of the week. You are welcome in the sitting room and can hook up to my WiFi. Tea, coffee and cereal breakfast is available. I have both a cat and a dog, not allowed in this room but very present throughout the rest of the house. For this reason the space is not suitable for another dog, sorry.
The house is small. You will be a very personal guest
I have enjoyed many walks nearby including, Wyre Forest, Severn Valley steam Train walk and ride, river and canal walks. Nearby attractions include: Kidderminster carpet factory, Severn Valley Safari park and historic Bewdley.

  • The Rockhouse was the perfect retreat for a quiet and romantic weekend escape. Angelo was an amazing host and was very helpful when we arrived. The food and wine that was left for us was very greatly received! I would thoroughly recommend anyone to experience a night or two at the rockhouse!

    Thomas2016-12-11T00:00:00Z
  • Was amazing to experience this building as it was to see it on the TV. We would definitely recommend this property for a couples relaxing break.

    Katie2016-11-27T00:00:00Z
  • Amazing time here at the rock house with my soulmate. We needed to get away to somewhere magical, this surpassed anything I'd imagined. The work that has gone into making this unique escape is phenomenal. Well done to the host, Angelo, such a friendly and inspiring fellow. The lunar activity on the first night was really something special, the super moon twinned with some crazy cloud formations made for a surreal experience for both me and Natasha. Highly recommend place for couples to have the perfect escape from reality and stay in an amazing cave house. Thank you so much, we will be returning for sure Ryan :)

    Ryan2016-11-16T00:00:00Z
  • We stayed at the Rockhouse for a couple of nights last week for our 'mini-moon' and it was a wonderful experience! We were amazed by the scale of Angelo's achievement when we saw it on Grand Designs, and it was fantastic to be able to experience it for ourselves. The cave is really comfortable, beautifully decorated and we loved the atmospheric lighting. The patio area in front of the cave also feels like a room in itself with a well equipped BBQ area, fire pit and two seating areas for meals, drinks or in our case, backgammon :-) If you're looking for a relaxing break away in an unusual and unique destination, secluded enough for some peace and quiet and yet close to the many amenities of a nearby town (Bewdley is a lovely Georgian town about a 10 minute drive away, and well worth a visit), then book now! You won't regret it :-)

We have a large family detached house on the Outskirts of Kidderminster in a small village called Franche, its very near Bewdley which is beautiful and all our students love to visit, its a train ride from our home to Birmingham or Worcester, Kidderminster is the nearest town with all the normal Shops you would need, plus banks & Cinema, Leisure Centre etc. Merry Hill is the nearest Shopping Complex with all the up-to-date shops & restaurants. Bewdley has beautiful restaurants, Merry Hill has Nandos, nearby we have McDonalds & KFC which Students seem to like! however there are some excellent restaurants also nearby We have some lovely walks nearby, we live next to a Pub too, which is good in a hurry for a cheap meal, nothing special but easier than cooking ourselves on occasions! We have 2 cats, a soon to be teenager called Jack, a nuisance beautiful toddler - 2 year old Matilda! Wifi, Sky Tv We are happy to provide evening meals & pack lunches as required at extra cost, A light breakfast is available within the price, on help yourself basis, for full english at weekends would be an extra charge We started Hosting Student's initially because of the location where we live it meant our son Jack could not go out when he was younger and interact socially, we thought having Student's form around the world was a great idea for him and for us all to learn about different cultures and make friends around the world, which we have, some our students have been back to visit, we have also been invited to their homes too.

My place is close to public transport, offering excellent access to Birmingham, London and Worcester, as Kidderminster train station is only a few minutes walk from the front door, along with several local bus routes, and the town centre itself. You’ll love my place because of its convenient location and the comfortable, bright rooms I have to offer. It's perfect for commuters on the mainline, though anyone wanting to discover the Severn Valley Steam Railway will also be very well suited here!
The location is fantastic if you love a tasty takeaway with a vast number of options available within a 5 minute walk. There are also several restaurants nearby.
  • Basic amenities but Max is currently into some decorating. Being so close to the station is ideal for me. Would definitely use it again.

    Jacob2017-04-21T00:00:00Z
  • The location was cental and very handy for the train station. The room was spacious, very clean and cosy. I slept very well. Max was very welcoming and amiable. We had a good chat. He was also very flexible over my arrival and departure times. All in all I would definitely recommend this B&B, and I'd like to thank Max for his hospitality.

    Simon2017-02-20T00:00:00Z
  • As it says in the description, Max has recently moved in so the décor is fairly basic but the house is warm, the bed is comfortable, it is a quiet road, and Max allowed me to use the kitchen and store some food in the fridge, so I was very happy with my stay and I would happily stay there again.

    Ed2017-03-10T00:00:00Z
  • Max's place is great. Right on top of the train station, close to town and has parking. The house is warm and cosy, the cats and Max are all welcoming, some are also incredibly affectionate. The bed was incredibly comfy, room was adequate to a short or long stay, and I fell for Max's shower, powerful and hot!!! I'm looking forward to staying with Max and his cats again soon.

  • This is my second stay with Max. My previous comments still stand, and may I just add he was incredibly flexible, my stay changed at short notice and Max was still able to accommodate my needs. I left Max to his shows while I had some work to do. Max didn't even disturb me when he got up on Monday to start work himself, which was great, having not had a lot of sleep. I won't hesitate to stay with Max again. He's a great host. Thank you Max xxx

  • The Barn (and the Stables) are truly a spectacular find. I have loved staying in both spaces to the point that I have extended my stay. The Barn is not only a beautiful property (circular stair case, fireplace and juke box) but in a very scenic location complete with rolling hills, horses, woods and canal but still close enough to city and public transport. Linda has been a fantastic, kind, understanding and accommodating host making sure I have everything I need and making check in/out smooth and effortless. Would highly recommend both the Stables and the Barn.

  • I had a fantastic time at Carol and Bill´s home. They are wonderful people and their home is welcoming and very comfortable. I had the opportunity to share time with them and I felt as if I had known them for a long time. The house is very clean and the bedroom with impeccable bedding and towels as well as an excellent bathroom next door. Stourbridge is a very interesting town with the historic canal and old- buildings from the past glass industry. It has got two train stations and is well-connected by train to Birmingham, London or wherever you might wish to go before or after staying in Stourbridge. Carol and I spent one day in Birmingham and had a wonderful visit there. It is only a 20-25 minutes train journey to downtown Birmingham. Besides that, there is the shortest train line in the UK! It is connecting both train stations in Stourbridge. It is a green train line, a mini-train line. If you are visiting the area, please, do not miss this tiny journey, it is awesome! Finally, I would 100% recommend you to stay at their place! Thank you so much for such an unforgetable time in your place and in Stourbridge too.

    Doanh2016-06-03T00:00:00Z
  • The highest compliment I can give Carol and Bill is that I would choose them as neighbours. I was a lone traveller, visiting a sick relative in Birmingham. Carol and Bill could not have made me more welcome to their home and I immediately felt at ease, chatting with them like old friends. The photos on the site do not do their attractive double room and spotless, modern bathroom justice. They are very well placed for easy access to Birmingham, Stourbridge and all the surrounding areas. I would be very happy to stay with them again.

    Lindsay2017-02-25T00:00:00Z
  • I've stayed at Carol's home once before (see my previous review) and that's the reason I went back! Kind, hospitable hosts, a quiet, clean, very comfortable room, a lovely big bathroom all to myself and easy access to Birmingham to the East and all the beauties of places such as Ironbridge and Shropshire to the West. What more could one ask for? It's very likely I will be returning again as I am still visiting a sick relative in the area - and I will rebook with confidence (provided the room is available at the time!)

This is a lovely light, sunny double bedroom with a small ensuite shower room. We provide tea and coffee making facilities in the room and fresh milk is always available. We are happy to offer off road parking for the length of your stay and are situated a short (5 minute) walk from the Severn Valley Railway and just a short drive from the West Midlands Safari Park. There are also several pubs, restaurants and cafes within easy walking distance of our home.
Our home is a large detached house built in 1929 and we are offering a lovely double bedroom with a small ensuite shower and toilet. Our house is perfectly situated for people visiting the Severn Valley Steam Railway ( (URL HIDDEN) ) particularly for the special events such as the 1940's weekends or one of the steam gala days. We are also a 10 minute drive from the West Midlands Safari Park and within an hours drive of other attractions such as the Ironbridge Gorge museums, The Black Country living museum, Warwick Castle and Shakespeare's Stratford.
We live in a quiet residential road far enough from the railway to have no train noise but close enough to easily walk there. It is also no more than a 10 minute walk into the centre of town where there is a good range of shops, cafes and restaurants. We are located approximately 25 minutes from the M5 J3, J4 and J6.
  • Nothing short of excellent. Generous, warm, wonderful hosts. Made me feel super welcome. Went the extra mile, even driving me to the SVR station so I didn't have to walk in heels!! ... the location is excellent for SVR. The room was everything I needed and there were thoughtful extras ... phone charger, bottled water, chocolate biscuits, bathroom products. Lovely breakfast too with homemade granola. It was excellent... a fine example of all that's brilliant about Airbnb. Thank you xx

  • A great stay, was my first time using air bnb and definitely will again. Room very clean! Nice extras like the bottled water, tea and coffee, biscuits, being offered breakfast in the morning and towels being provided. Sally Anne went out of her way to take me to a wedding reception. Greatly appreciated.

  • Colin & Sally-Anne were perfect hosts, very helpful and not far from the town centre. They suggested good eateries, Bistro Pierre & Stome Manor, and our 3 night stay was very enjoyable and relaxing.

  • Sharon was a good host. Her home is in a nice quiet location and the room was very clean and quiet, which suited our needs.

    Charlotte2015-06-15T00:00:00Z
  • I really enjoyed my stay at this house! Sharon was a very friendly and helpful host. The house is even cozier than at the pictures. The room is lovely and clean. During my stay for a month it became my second home. So it is totally recommendable to stay there. The city centre of Birmingham is not far away and it is quite easy and comfortable to get there by public transportation! The location of the house is quite good: there is the peaceful countryside and a lot of parks and it's still central! So, thanks for that wonderful experience!

    Jana 2016-11-12T00:00:00Z
  • Sharon was very welcoming and accommodating to us when we arrived. She is easy to talk to and was happy to offer us suggestions of where to eat when we asked. Her dog is also one of the friendliest creatures I've ever met which helped us settle in very easily. Thank you for everything, Sharon :)

  • I spent two nights at Sharons' home. Her home is very comfortable. The bed I slept in was as described, Comfy and my experience overall was very good. Shops are within walking distance and the house itself is in a nice quiet cul de sac with safe parking.

  • Sharon's home is comfortable, quiet and very convenient for my trip. It is just a 10 min bus ride away from Stourbridge high street and £5 taxi ride to Stourbridge Junction station. Sharon was very warm and welcoming, even though me and my friend turned up few hours before the expected time. Would recommend the stay.

3 bed family home sleeps 5. 2 living rooms, bathroom +WC, garden room, log burner. Firestick and Amazon Prime TV. Walk and cycle the Wyre Forest, canals, Severn Valley, Malverns & Shropshire. Good fishing. Great base for visiting Birmingham ( Black Country Musuem, Cadburys World, Safari Park, Steam Railway). Resident cat, (Beauty) needs feeding twice a day. Unrestricted on street parking.
During your visit, I will be staying in a caravan, onsite at the end of the garden. You cannot see it from the house. I have my own entrance /exit and will not intrude on your time, but am on hand for any queries or help and you might see me watering the patio sometimes. This is a new addition to the original listing and I have not put any pics up yet, but has worked very well with the last 4 groups of guests.
    Quiet cul-de-sac
  • An excellent place to stay, and Katy is a very welcoming, accomodating and friendly host. If you're concerned it might be odd for her to be staying at the end of the garden don't worry, it works fine and you can't see it from the house. The rooms are comfortable and the whole house was clean and tidy. Only caveat to mention is that there's a fish tank in the room with the sofa bed which made it difficult to sleep there.

  • We stayed at Mathews for 1 night. We didn't get to meet Mathew but it was a very nice place to live and everything was as described. The room is cosy and lovely. His place is convenient to get to. We very much enjoyed our stay and would like to visit again.

    Bhagyashree2016-05-30T00:00:00Z
  • Great place, lovely quiet location and Matthew is just a perfect host. I cannot recommend this place highly enough. Everything was as described - lovely room, clean bedding, clean house, and Matthew could not have been more accommodating. I would stay here again without hesitation and will be recommending it to my friends. It's fantastic value for money. And to top it all there is Zeus, the family dog, who is the friendliest dog I have ever met. We became firm friends and I will miss him!!

    Mike2016-09-24T00:00:00Z
  • Matthew was away so we didn't meet him, but he left friends in the house to give us the key. He knew that we were there just for the 2 nights in order to visit friends nearby, so we were only getting our own breakfast and being mostly out. The arrangements suited us well as we had been travelling and Airbnb ing for some weeks and were happy to be left to our own devices. We were also appreciative of his low charge!

    Jennifer2016-06-07T00:00:00Z
  • Matt made us feel really welcome. The room was nice and comfortable. It was lovley and warm too. We would stay again when we are in the area.

  • Matthew's room was good value for money. I little far from Birmingham centre, BUT don't let the distant put you off. Bus number 9 will take you straight from Centre to Matthew's home and only a 5 min walk from bus stop to his front door. Matthew him self is a very laidback open guy. We felt very welcomed.

    Vincenzo2016-09-18T00:00:00Z
  • I arrived quite late at night, however Mathew was there. And I am thankful for that.

In the hamlet of Wootton, near Bridgnorth, the Mews is annexed from the main house across a courtyard. Wootton Lodge Mews offers smart modern bijou accommodation in an idyllic Shropshire setting. We are close to the following wedding venues; The Mill Barns Alveley, Blakelands Bobbington, The Old Vicarage Hotel Worfield, High Grosvenor Worfield & Patshull Park Wolverhampton. Perfect for a countryside getaway, but also convenient for Bridgnorth, Ironbridge, Stourbridge, Shrewsbury and Telford.
Access to the Mews from Duken Lane is via the entrance to Wootton Lodge, through a pair of 4m wide metal gates. Look for the stone trough along side the gated entrance, and you have found us! Guests are welcome to use the lawn area in front of the Mews, whilst the other garden areas may be available if not in use by the family.
A car is essential for getting around, even to the local (Farm) shops, as The Mews is situated between the two main roads which run into Bridgnorth itself, the A442 from Kidderminster and the A458 from Stourbridge. It isn't possible to walk along these roads, but there are some excellent walks and cycle trails around the vicinity, with the National Trust's Dudmaston Hall being only just over a mile away. We have extensive car parking available on site. There is no public transport available, however there are several good local taxi companies if needed, details of which are listed in our Guest Information book. Within a couple of miles of Wootton Lodge Mews there are four restaurants and a Tea Room. It is possible to walk to the Tea Room but you will need a car to access the restaurants. Again, these are listed in our Guest Book. There is a Saturday Park and Ride service into Bridgnorth itself, which some guests may find more convenient, as Saturdays are busy market days and parking may be tricky sometimes. Details of this service are in the Guest Handbook.
  • Everything we had hoped for plus more, we had 6 days in this extremely clean and tidy unit, it had everything you could possibly need, hosts on hand to handle any query with kind and personal attention, we really could not have asked for more, hope to come by again some day.

  • Absolutely fabulous accommodation, clean, bright and airy, with tea and some added extras too! What a great spot for a peaceful stop away. Thank you Robert

    Ellen2017-08-30T00:00:00Z
  • This was a perfect experience. The accommodation is of the highest standard in terms of cleanliness, decor and superbly equipped. Our hosts had thought of everything plus more. They are welcoming and so considerate. There is ample parking. The scenery is gorgeous. 5* comfort. Everything is crisp. The TV is too good. Glorious shower. Amazing light throughout. Treasure trove of toiletries and extremely generous breakfast. We hope to return. Could not have asked for anything more. Thank you.

  • Home away from home! The property was tastefully decorated and extremely clean and felt like an extension of our home when we walked in. Everything was provided from cereals to milk to toiletries and even Netflix! It is a stunning lodge and we would definitely return again. Thanks Rob!

  • The host had left out some milk and biscuits which was a nice touch, as well as being accommodating with check in times. However not having heating on when we arrived was strange and not nice to arrive to. We had all sorts of problems with the heating while we were there (including having to top up pressure on the boiler) as this wasn't explained anywhere.

The house is situated in a private gated development in the beautiful village of Hagley, right on the belt of the beautiful Worcestershire Countryside of Worcestershire. (As stated below, 20 mins from the city of Birmingham, and right on the belt of Worcestershire. Best of both!) The rooms are all inclusive of gas, electric, water, council tax and broadband wifi access.... Brand new three storey luxurious townhouse, close to the city of Birmingham (20 mins drive) and within easy reach of all motorway networks. Train station 5 mins walk. The rooms available are 2 large double rooms on the top floor of the house. Excellent views over the Clent Hills and very privately located in a gated development Security code access. There is a Top floor bathroom which is fitted with a power shower and ceramic bath. There is also a garage and parking. Within walking distance of the house there are numerous bars, shops and restaurants. The geography of the house means it is also on the belt of the beautiful worcestershire countryside, so the best of both worlds! The house is also centrally located for Dudley, Wolverhampton, Bromsgrove, Droitwich, Worcester and Sandwell. I consider myself very easy to get along with and work flexible hours and have a very relaxed approach. The way the house is set out means that each floor is seperate which allows for privacy for each individual room. Twp recent reviews from long term rentals : Simon's comments- A recent long term let of 9 months... "I moved into Zowie's place when moving to the area for work. It is ideally located on the edge of the Worcestershire countryside with great road and rail links into Stourbridge, Birmingham and the rest of the West Midlands. Walking out the front door you are five minutes from beautiful rolling countryside and one minute from Hagley train station." "The house has all the conveniences you could need and Zowie is great, fun and easy going. It's a great house in an ideal location. I would definitely recommend it!" 6 month rental -Tim said "A quiet, pleasant location, with good travel links to Birmingham City and The West Midlands. The house is a nice, airy and spacious property, nicely situated in the countryside."
  • We stayed here for a night. The place was easy to find, and the kitchen was well-appointed. We did not stay on the sofa bed but rather in the private bedroom upstairs. The room was great but unfortunately the mattress was old and we had springs poking into our back as we slept. Zowie was a good host, helpful and friendly.

    Will2014-03-24T00:00:00Z
  • Zowie was a great host--very friendly and accessible. The sofa bed was very comfy and the room in general was quite spacious with loads of seating options which made the stay in the room very comfortable. I was very happy staying here and would love to stay at Zowie's place again next time I am in town.

A very convenient location too, as the safari park is only a 20 minute walk from the house, and a shop and a bus stop a 2 minute walk away.
