“Contemporary architecture, great wine, and beautiful landscape. The owners have young children so this is surprisingly kid friendly. There is a changing table in one of the bathrooms and a kid potty as well. This is our favorite winery in the Gorge and there are many great ones!”

“Excellent wines, excellent people. The good folks at Domaine Pouillon practice sustainable and biodynamic farming and winemaking processes that produce some of the best award winning wines in the Pacific NW. On top of this, they're simply great folks. Domaine Pouillon is family friendly, scenic, and well worth the short drive to Lyle, WA.”

“A favorite local spot for hikers, mountain bikers, dog walkers, wild-flower lovers and more. On a windy day make sure to take the Maui Falls route over what's know as the Jeep track - it provides much greater protection from the breeze. This one of the most amazing spots to see balsam root and lupine growing together in full glory, starting about the end of April (approximately) and running about 3 weeks.”

“Well known for their steaks and burgers. I love their steak salad and chicken strips. Their grill closes at 8pm I think, so their fryer is all that's open. ”

“Now with new owners and rebranded, The Sand Bar & Grill serves up lunch and dinner, and has a full bar featuring local favorites, but is also family friendly before 7pm. They serve great burgers, pizzas, salads and always have a daily special. Stop in for a game of pool or to watch the big game on one of their large screen TVs. This is my go-to local "Cheers" bar, where you always have a good time with friendly locals. ”
