“Baldy is a smaller ski hill which has been a local favourite for over40 years. From simple beginnings with only a rope tow for the beginner hill and a Tbar for the higher runs they have chairlifts. It is a warm and friendly hill with shorter waits than many of the larger ski hills. “Angel Springs via KLO Creek provides hikers with an 11.6 (round trip) trail through a lush forest. During the first part of the trek through the KLO Creek, hikers can admire the views of the canyon and the fascinating geological foundations. The springs themselves are heated geo-thermally and are identifiable by the tufa deposits created by the crystallization of calcite.”

“We love the Gun Barrel Grill which is located about Snowshoe Sams (you can view this from the cabin) as it is a nostalgic return to the earlier days of Big White. We love the stuffed mushroom caps for an h'orderve, the burgers are great and of course no trip to the Gun Barrel is complete without a Gun Barrel Coffee where they put on a show with a shotgun and flaming alcohol! ”
