“Come & explore with our Amed´ku Service Beach Villas attached PADI 5 Star Dive Center "No Fear Diving" the USA-T Liberty world war 2 shipwreck located in Tulamben . The shipwreck USA-T Liberty Wreck is the most famous dive site in Bali. It´s a must see dive site when you visit Bali. It´s suitable a for all diver levels from a Discover Scuba Diver, PADI Open Water to Advanced levels. The USA-T Liberty was a world war 2 United States Army Transport cargo ship torpedoed by a Japanese submarine in January 1942 in the Lombok straits. It was towed to the beach in Tulamben for salvaging where it was left as the war moved on. In 1964, Mount Agung’s eruption & a serious earthquake let the ship slipping away from the reef where it was dry-docked. The USA-T Liberty Wreck is lying on her side at a depth ranging from 5 to 30 meters. It’s THE most popular dives site in Bali so it can get crowded there in the high season. With No Fear Diving we´re starting our dives away from crowds & the public entrance area from a very nice private resort just in front of the wreck. We also normally dive the USA-T Liberty first thing in the morning before the day tripping crowds arrive from Sanur and Kuta. Snappers, Groupers, Barracuda, and occasional visits from Black tip reef sharks are some of the bigger fishes at the USA-T Liberty shipwreck. There is also a rich macro biodiversity @ the wreck with Ghost Pipefish, Nudibranchs, Scorpion Leaf fish and plenty of other little Critters. With great coral colors, usually good visibility and sunlight the Liberty makes an excellent dive spot for under water photographers. ”

“Tulamben, Bali is a little village in the northeast coast of Bali, the beach is black sand covered by smooth, fist-size rocks. The remains of Gunung Agung exploding in 1963 has sent the lava flows along this coastal area. There is a bay here that invites divers to visit this village to explore under water scene. The bay was later known as Tulamben Bay amongst the divers. The excellent diving sites in Tulamben, Bali are Ship Wreck (USAT Liberty Cargo), Paradise Reef and Drop Off (actually rugged wall).”

“The American Liberty ship wreck is a favorite amongst snorkelers and divers. Like the Japanese ship wreck, it is close enough to the shore that you do not need diving gear to view it. This site is about a 40 minute scooter or car ride from Katana Villa. ”

“Literally meaning "tree house" this unique attraction is quite unlike anything else. Constructed of bamboo and recycled materials, this rambling structure has many quiet areas to ponder the views to the coast and over to Lombok. Also has an interesting collection of bird life. ”
