American Restaurant
“Fantastic food and atmosphere for lunch or dinner. They also have a Jazz Brunch on Sundays!!! For lunch, I recommend trying one of their sandwiches. My personal favorite is the The Saturn with grilled turkey, avocado and sauteed mushrooms on the sourdough wheat bread. Try the fried green beans instead of fries! Want to try them for dinner, you can't go wrong with the Luna Tuna or the Maui Slammin' Salmon. Want something a little lighter, try the Grilled Yellowfin Tuna Salad! They have live music on that patio area on the weekends and they are pet friendly in the patio area!!! They are located in our historic Downtown District!!”

“ ($$) “My family’s favorite Seafood/Cajun Restaurant, food is always fresh and it has great service in a casual and vibrant atmosphere. I love the Crawfish / shrimp pistolettes, which is a small bread filled with delicious goodness, fried catfish and seafood platter are to die for too”

Restaurant
“Building and dining areas are nothing to look at, but if you want great boiled crawfish or fried catfish, this is one of your go-to places. Very casual. Go early or be prepared to wait as this is where all the locals go and it is packed, especially during crawfish season!”

Restaurant
“ ($$$) We love Callas food and environment, their service is outstanding, Calla is a unique gourmet restaurant, their portions are kind of small so my husband and I like to order different appetizers and share it,their blue crab beignets are delicious, and their burgers are out of this world, burgueses are not in the dinner menu though, we like going for dinner time”

American Restaurant
“This place has been around for about 25 or so years! Great food and atmosphere. They display a lot of local artists works on their walls. They serve lunch and dinner as well as brunch on Sundays. I recommend their Eggs Benedict, Shrimp and grits or Chicken & Waffles if you are going to brunch. The Monte Cristo Sandwich is fantastic for lunch and you can't go wrong with any of their entrees for dinner! This restaurant is located in the historic Downtown District as well. Save room for dessert and walk down to Boombox for a frozen treat!!! ”

“Cotten's is a Lake Charles staple. It's a diner, so that's the kind of food you can expect to get here, but it's good and reasonably priced.”

“Pronia's is another great sandwich shop! They make their own bread. Try the Turkey and Smoked Cheddar sandwich or a New Orlean's style muffaletta. Their bakery items are so good. If you are here around Mardi Gras this is a must go to place for their king cakes! In my humble opinion they are the best in this area!!!”
