“FISHING The waterways of Lake Macquarie provide a spectacular aquatic environment ideal for visiting anglers keen to chase after flathead, bream, whiting and seasonal species. If you wish to go fishing the closest place is 10 minute walk from the Lodge, at Wyee Point Reserve. You can access the lake frontage from the Boat Ramp via a bush track at the end of Government Road. There is no fishing on Short Street, as all the jettys are privately owned. Other spots are: - On the water: The Drop Over, Marks Point and Pulbah Island. - On the shore: Lucy’s Wall, Swansea Heads, Shingle Splitters Point and Balcolyn - With the kids: Pelican Foreshore Reserve, Pelican and Speers Point Park. ”
