“The Fremont Troll was made famous by the movie “Ten Things I Hate About You”. This massive troll lives under the Aurora Bridge in the Fremont District. He holds a an old VW Beetle in his left hand. In the area there’s shops and restaurants for you to enjoy. Although parking can be a little difficult it’s worth the short walk to see the troll under the bridge.”

“Phenomenal seafood restaurant, completely captures the essence of Seattle dining. They don't take reservations so the best way to avoid the long wait is to arrive a little before they open to be in the first seating. ”

“This is no doubt Seattle's favorite restaurant!! If you are celebrating a special occasion, Canlis is an amazing place to go. Make sure to make a reservation wayyy in advance and if you can, request for a seat by the window. The restaurant is set atop a hill and overlooks some of the best views Seattle has to offer! If the dinner is too pricey or you weren't able to get a reservation, the bar does walk-ins as well! ”

“Just a wonderful place to walk around on a sunny day. Beautiful boats on beautiful Lake Union. Right next to the Museum of History and Industry and at the end of the C line (bus route).”

“Jeanette had to think for a minute when I asked her about her favorite coffee shop and Milstead is why. Cross the Fremont bridge and turn left to find Fremont Coffee, or turn right to find Milstead. The true coffee lover really can't lose!”

Mexican Restaurant
$$
“Nice little Mexican(ish) place right down Eastlake Ave. Fantastic outdoor area overlooking the water (closes off around 9pm though if memory serves) and comfortable interior. We've found service to be spotty at times outside and in the main dining area, so plan accordingly, but our last couple visits were good. To guarantee great service or quick in/out we suggest the bar area, which has never failed us. Highly recommended with just those few minor caveats. Great place to get a unique Seattle experience along the water.”

Seafood Restaurant

“This is the fast food arm of Ivar's, not to be confused with the fine dining at the Salmon House. Eat like a local; get your fish and chips and eat them on the dock that is to the left of the entrance for the Salmon House. Same great view, much cheaper experience. ”
