“Els Quatre Gats -( Catalan for "The Four Cats") is a café, restaurant , that famously became a popular meeting place for famous artists throughout the modernist period in Catalonia, known as Modernism. The café opened on June 12, 1897 in the famous Casa Martí, and served as a hostel, bar and cabaret until it eventually became a central meeting point for Barcelona’s most prominent modernist figures, such as Pablo Picasso and Ramon Casas i Carbó. The bar closed due to financial difficulties in June 1903, but was reopened and eventually restored to its original condition in 1989. ”

Café
“In Spanish “granja” means farm, and in Barcelona a trip to Granja M. Viader means you’re in for a chocolate treat. At Granja M. Viader, guests can order up churros and melted chocolate, a classic Spanish treat. Granja M. Viader isn’t just a sweet shop. It’s also a historic site, dating back to the mid 1800s when it did in fact operate as a farm in Barcelona. If it’s a hot day and warm thick chocolate sounds too intense, try one of the milkshakes. They’re just as thick the melted chocolate but will still cool you off.”
