Beach
“Lido Key Beach is one of the easiest beaches to reach from Sarasota downtown. Situated less than 5 miles southwest of the city center, Lido Key Beach offers more than 3,000 feet of white sand. Several recreation areas, with amenities like picnic tables and a pool (which can be enjoyed for a fee), are also available. What's more, Lido Key Beach sits within walking distance of St. Armands Circle, where various shops and eateries reside.”

“This location in St. Armand's square was located right in the heart of the action. We went there for lunch. I found this location to be more quaint than others I've been to. This 2 level location has indoor and outdoor seating. I had a pineapple Martini and a BBQ Pork sandwich. The drink was top shelf and yummy. $11. The sandwich was $14 and included fries. The taste of the food was better than average, the service was decent. She was attentive without being annoying. Wait time was 22.5 minutes, that is decent for a busy place like this. This place is great for a date night although it may get a little noisy based on the layout of the place. I would not recommend it for families with small children.”

Park
“South Lido Park is a Sarasota County park located on Benjamin Franklin Drive. It is a waterfront park on Lido Key just north of Big Sarasota Pass. The park is located on the former land of Otto Schmidt Zoldan, a pioneer who applied for a homestead at the southern tip of Lido Key in 1904. His claim was granted in 1910 and included most of the land that is now South Lido Park. Lido Key was originally known as Sarasota Key until the Ringling Isles development in the 1920’s when it was renamed. Established in 1974, the park features trails, picnic areas, bird-watching, kayaking, and swimming.”

“Our favorite place on “the circle”. Dining indoors and out with very fresh fish and the best gazpacho we’ve ever had anywhere. Live piano outside for lunch and dinner. Nice wine list. Try for an outdoor table on the north side of the building in the bushes, seriously!”

“The place where the visitors to Lido and Longboat Keys go to shop and eat! Particularly nice in the evening...walk the circle, browse the numerous shops and galleries. Take in the café culture and perhaps have something to eat or drink in any of the eateries. ”
