Waterfall
“the waterfall and swimming hole is a must see when visiting the southern Pacific zone of Costa Rica. Visiting on a weekday will be the less crowded and best option. I would recommend parking at their lower lot, not next to the main office because the hike down to the start of the trail is very steep and far! an inner tube is a fun way to enjoy relaxing in the pool below the glorious waterfall!”

Beach
“Dominical is best known for its waves, which draw surfers from all around the world. But there’s a lot more to this quirky, laid-back and fun beach town and the surrounding stretch of coastline called the Costa Ballena than just surf. Dominical’s village centre has lots to offer in terms of restaurants of different cuisines (many catering for vegetarians and vegans), the only Microbrewery on the Southern Pacific coast. a gym, yoga classes, surf classes, spanish classes and more. The beach drive is really a beautiful sight: a sea of colour set amongst palm trees. Vendors of artisan goods, clothing, and beach items are scattered along Dominical beach creating a unique atmosphere. ”

Nature
“The site is of great archeological and cultural importance even though only a very small portion of the city has been uncovered and studied. The monument covers 540 acres (218 ha) and is located on the forested southern slope of Turrialba Volcano. The settlement was occupied between 1000 BC and 1400 AD after which it was mysteriously abandoned. The reason is still unclear and the Spanish Conquistadors and settlers did not leave any record as to whether they found the ruins.”

City
“Considered the most consistent surfing spot in the nation, Dominical beach starts on the south side of the Baru River and stretches for more than a mile. Typically surfed at medium-to-high tides, the waves in Dominical are both powerful and thrilling. Lifeguards are on duty daily. In addition to water sports, there are several restaurants and tons of shopping. Check out the local vendor’s tables as they offer everything from jewelry to dresses to beach gear—it never hurts to bargain to get more bang for your buck. This is the most popular beach in the area. ”
