“Best Real Ale in Lincoln. Not a food place. No tea or coffee. Garden at rear.”

“The interiors, staff, music and drinks menu are 5 star. Open until 2am (I think!) you can find a mixed crowd with unusual ales and craft beers, cocktails to die for or a great selection of Gins. Grab a quieter time of day to get a table or take a trip down Steep Hill (it's at the bottom) during the more vibrant times at night. Great DJ playing music (no dance floor). It's a place to hang out at night but don't be intimidated if you are visiting it during the afternoon or early evening. A friendly relaxed bar. ”

“My favourite coffee shop in Lincoln. Independently run. Quirky decor and great atmosphere. They often hold live music gigs in the street too! ”

“Love this pub, upstairs is all old style cosiness, downstairs is normally busy and bustling. They have constantly changing beers on tap, and a great selection of wines. I'd recommend getting the meat and cheese platter, £6 and it comes with sides like bread and olives and quince, they can tell you all about the meats and cheeses on the list, with some interesting ones to choose from.”

“Great food and cosy atmosphere, worth checking their food deals on different week days, I think one was a pot of mussels and you get a free beer? There's a lovely outdoors veranda bit too where you can sit to eat”

“This buzzing bar features delicious cocktails, a large beer garden, live music and some perfect spots for Instagram photos (look out for the neon angel wings). Great for a (semi) quiet drink in the afternoon or a dance in the evening!”

“Our favourite local pub, they always have a great selection of beers, they do a mango cider I love and often a plum porter.. They often have events on like local music, quizzes, and stand up. Never too super busy, so good for a quieter drink and great atmosphere”

Café
“"A welcoming Italian cafe serving delicious coffee and fresh, homemade, and locally sourced organic food throughout the day. Located in The Terrace, Cafe Portico provides an atmospheric cafe to enjoy a hot drink, a snack or light lunch with friends or work colleagues. There are evening music events once a month with a special food menu available. " It is generally necessary to book for the special music events - check of their blog on line. Also does great Pizza every Friday night from their wood fired pizza oven on the back of a motorbike - David and I love this place. ”
