“Owned by John Malkovich, this is Lisbon's most famous club and the amazing view over the river might be one of the reasons why.”

“At one point or another, every bar-hopper in Lisbon has visited Pensão Amor, at least to see the bold decor, if not for the drinks and socializing. Once a brothel, it comprises different rooms filled with bright decor, cushy seating, unique art, and a dancer’s pole. There is even a ‘library’ filled with erotic books. The back entrance opens to Pink Street, but entering from the front entrance at Rua Alecrim is much more impressive – the front room is decorated from floor to ceiling in bright colors and shocking artwork (the ceiling is even a work of art).”

“During World War II the favourite spies' meeting place, today a unique bar with glass cabinets covering all the walls with the most incredible collections of dolls, lead soldiers, airplanes, flags and weapons from the Soviet Union period... An impressive list of 365 cocktails! Quite a challenge to choose "the one" you will sip while playing a game of billiard... Don't miss it!”

“A great place to have a brunch or a light meal and admire from the terrace a superb view on the Tagus. As Noobai, the creole word for "let's go", don't hesitate and go!”

“It opens at 8PM as a dining destination, thanks to its two restaurants (one for sushi, another for meat), and at around midnight it turns into a bar and club partying until 4AM. It's found next to the Kais restaurant, which belongs to the same group, and is the perfect destination for a cocktail on the waterfront, often to the sound of national and international DJs. The sand and the location make this as close as you get to the beach in the center of the city. It opens from Wednesday to Saturday (also on Tuesdays and Sundays during the summer).”

“Chapitô is not only a restaurant, it's a live music bar, nightclub, theatre house and more. It offers workshops during the day and at night it's best to reserve a table. Check out their website for the calendar, Brazilian nights are great!”

Portuguese Restaurant
$$
“It's an historical place and one of Lisbon's most beautiful restaurants. It's the former refectory of a convent, and maintains the original walls with colorful tiles from the 1800s. For that reason, and for the traditional Portuguese cuisine, it always attracts large numbers of tourists and locals. It was also one of the city's first beer houses (founded in 1836), and continues to be famous for its steaks and seafood.”

“he view, the snacks (the octopus with the lagareiro, € 13, is the most popular) and the cocktails (we recommend the mojitos, € 7.5) make it irresistible. Rain or shine, with or without company. The bar opened in October 2010 and is one of the best places to have a drink after dinner and watch the boats on the river or the traffic in the distance on the bridge.”

“One of the best rooftops in the city, at least for me. Used to be the last level of a parking lot. Gets veeery full, but really worth a visit. The view is just speechless, if you go in the late afternoon and manage to catch the sunset is the best. Later at night they have a DJ playing old school music and you can check online the kind of music that is playing each night. Closed on Sundays. If you like strawberry mojito, trust me, try it here cause its simply the best!!”
