Café
“Gayley's Cafe is a quiet, sunny, beer-serving breakfast place on Dundas West. It's apparently the place to go when you're hung over and want to wait in line for an hour, but on a weekday morning it's perfectly calm. Straight-up bacon and eggs is reasonably priced and the service is mighty appeasing! ”

Bakeries

Bakery
“One of the best bakery you'll find in city! (The coffee however is better at the place next door called Major Treat)”

Bakery
“They call it Paris in Parkdale. Parkdale is still a little rough around the edges (but thankfully not fully gentrified yet), so it may not seem like Paris from the outside of the shop (the area is totally safe, its right across from the public library that we frequent with our kids). But If we're judging that by the delectable treats they serve, and the quaint atmosphere inside, I think we've got a winner. The so-nice-to-look-at-you-don't-want-to-eat-it.... -almost treats are amazing. Grab a lunch or breakfast there as well with tasty croissants and sandwiches. Don't be fooled by the name of their chocolate bread pudding - to die for! And they sell tasty Montreal style bagels and sourdough bread by Blackbird (a bakery based in Kensington and well touted as the best sourdough in the city). All in all, this coffee shop has food that will blow your mind.”
