  • Booked literally last minute as a mini break for my wife's birthday, and wanted somewhere where my pet dogs were also welcome. Communication was first class and quick responses given on any questions asked. The accommodation itself was a lot better than we thought it would be, cleanliness was medical like and it had everything we needed (even 4g phone coverage!). We didnt really explore much (apart from a nice walk around betwys coed ), however there was plenty of info in the accommodation for activities etc to do nearby. We only stopped 2 nights, however would look to use again in the future as a base to explore more and to enjoy the beautiful countryside. Hosts were pleasant and just left us be (had a nice conversation though and was advised if we needed anything to just give them a shout). There were also some provisions in the fridge for us which was a nice touch. Well recommended even if you don't have dogs. Thanks

  • We had a lovely time in Len’s house in Snowdonia. The best thing was the view from the garden, overlooking a steep forested hill. The property is a few minutes by car from betws-y-coed. It’s ideal for any activity in Snowdonia . House was clean and tidy with all amenities provided including clean towels. There were three toilets, one in the ground floor level, another on the second floor which had a bath, and another was in an en-suite room that had a shower. Len phoned us after the first night to ask if were OK, and he recommended we visit Llandudno, a seaside town 20 minutes away which was having a festival. We really enjoyed the festival and walking along the promenade. We will be back in this homely house that we highly recommend.

  • We stayed in Lan's property last weekend. We were running late due to heavy traffic on M62 but Lan was very kind and patient. He welcomed us and explained everything with smile. House is located in nice locality with a nice view. Spacious rooms and fully loaded kitchen are big plus. I will surely recommend Lan's property and I will return if I am visiting north wales again. Thank you Lan.

  • Good value house for a group stay. In excellent location for access to snowdonia whilst still being in a little town. Place was a little dated and in need of some attention in places but has everything you need for your stay.

The Bothy is close to the Snowdonia National Park with a wide range of activities. It is set in the garden of our house in a quiet village, LLanddoged, 1.5 miles from Llanrwst which has shops and pubs. The stone hut is small but cosy with two single beds. Additional sleeping area with air beds on the mezzanine above the bedroom. Totally self contained with shower, toilet & breakfast bar. Storage available for cycles.
The Bothy is a stone hut in the grounds of our family house. Please note this is basic and simple accommodation and is best suited for walkers, cyclists, climbers and those who love the outdoors. For people who just want a comfortable place to stay rather than camp. It makes a good base for exploring Snowdonia and the Conwy valley. Bedding and towels are provided. There is a breakfast bar with kettle, microwave, toaster and fridge. There is no internet and mobile reception is variable in the area.
The Bothy is in the grounds of our family house with a shared access and parking on the drive. Please be considerate of our neighbours and keep noise to a minimum - we live in a small, quiet village. Llanrwst (c.1.5 miles, about 30 minutes walk) has a supermarket, shops, banks, pubs and cafes. Chinese takeaway, Bangladeshi restaurant/takeaway.
  • This is a lovely place for those who would like to experience a classic lifestyle of UK in the modern days. Host of the house is friendly, place is cosy and really suitable for a group of people (friends) of 4/5 people who are looking for to adventure in the mountains and to have a place to crash in during their trip. Place has been equipped with basic needs such as four sleeping arrangement including two arrangement in the attic, a toilet bathroom, pantry area, a hangout place with sofa, TV video games, DVDs etc and the outside garden, to the dog lover owner has a very friendly dog (Frank), the interior objects in the house seems to be influenced by African culture. If I ever plan to go for hiking in Snowdonia again with friends, I would love to re-book the place, it is value for the price.

  • Alison's place is an older small cottage next to their house in a subdivision. I wouldn't recommend it if you wanted to make your own meals (which we did); but if you are only there to sleep, take a shower, have some coffee and toast in the morning, it will do just fine. The location is great for visiting a number of places in the area. It's relatively quiet. Their dog, Frank, is sweet and friendly. Alison communicates with you quite quickly. Check in was simple with a lock box. The nearby town is fun to visit: 17th century bridge, 15th century buildings, old market town (good fish and chips), nice Riverwalk (which we didn't discover until last day), Welsh Food Center, Conwy (castle and all), and, as an after dinner treat: walk just past their house up the hill for an amazing view of Snowdonia along with a pasture of photo perfect sheep and friendly grazing cows. We even caught a sunset (despite mostly rainy weather while there). The Airbnb is modest, somewhat quirky, but fills the bill for sleeping, showering, relaxing (I like that there were two rooms and a picnic table in the back.) Shower had HOT water (aah..)

    Christine2017-08-03T00:00:00Z
  • We had a lovely time at the Bothy. Great value for money, comfortable beds and very convenient location as we were doing a climbing trip in Capel Curig. Would definitely recommend a visit and hope to visit again. A note for guests (nothing to do with the Bothy) we had a lovely meal at the local Indian, but avoid the 'wood stove' pizzas near Capel Curig, complete rip off, definitely a cheap frozen pizza cooked in a wood oven and sold at a very high price! Don't make our mistake!

    Vicky2017-05-01T00:00:00Z
  • Great location for exploring Snowdonia, and our hosts were friendly and helpful.

    Megan2017-06-18T00:00:00Z
  • What a great little find Alison's place was. Looking for somewhere to stay with easy access to Snowdonia, this was as good a base as any. Especially great if you drive since the accommodation is in a small village and a walk from Llanrwst (up a hill) can take between 30-40 min, which we didn't mind. Alison was efficient in her communication and really helped us out when we found ourselves in a difficult situation. The accommodation itself was a lot more spacious than we expected, based on the photos and the description, and we all agreed that we had spent nights in other places where we paid a lot more for a lot less in return. The unit itself is self contained with plenty of space for four people to sleep and a separate room to socialise. We are already thinking of booking with Alison again although feel that we need to be quick as this is likely to become very popular very quickly.

    Marek2017-04-03T00:00:00Z
  • Perfect spot to explore northern Wales. A very quiet, down to earth place. Alison was very welcoming and everything was as expected.

    Antoine2017-07-28T00:00:00Z
  • Bigger than we thought and great value, great character property in lovely setting. No mobile phone signal and limited wifi, no cooker but has microwave, Location is central for exploring N and mid Wales. The lanes are v narrow so take care. Glamping at its best

    Michael2017-08-26T00:00:00Z
  • The Bothy is a lovely little place- perfect for relaxing and getting away from it after day out in the beautiful Snowdonia area. It is slightly out of town but well worth the drive up...although be prepared to breathe in at times for other cars when the road narrows in places!! Hosts Alison and Keith (and Frank the dog) were very friendly, and got us settled in quickly. Shower was hot, beds (2 singles) comfortable. A bright additional living area with comfy sofas and a private outdoor patio area with lots of wild flowers provided lots of additional space. Basic kitchen facilities but all you need for breakfast/snacks. We took up the hosts recommendation to try the Indian takeaway in Llanrwst...definitely a must. Would book again if returned to area.

Now here’s a cottages that truly boasts an away-from-it-all feel. The Laundry is found in the Ffin y Parc estate so it’s surrounded by 14 acres of its own grounds. It includes parklands and a Victorian kitchen garden, great for exploring. The former coach house has been carefully restored and was featured by The Observer newspaper as one of the best places to stay in North Wales for outdoor adventures. Not far away is Ffin y Parc country house which is home to a gallery and coffee shop, a perfect place to visit on a rainy day. When the sun does shine it is just two miles away from the alpine village of Betws-y-Coed, and closer still is Tree Top Adventure, a high ropes course set in natural woodlands in the Conwy Valley.
*** Want a shorter break? Also available for 2-6 nights. Please contact host. ***

  • The cottage is beautiful and perfect for a couple looking to spend time in a relaxed and private space. It is clean, well decorated and has plenty of outdoor space. Being close to the main house provided an unexpected bonus - cakes and art! The listing is well described and I highly recommend staying here. Will certainly consider a repeat visit.

A spacious cottage in the historic market town of Llanrwst, 4 miles from Betws-y-Coed. Bridge Cottage is a country getaway with all the conveniences of town. Historic bridge and river walk just around the corner.
The cottage has a spacious dining area and lounge with books, games and DVDs. A large well-equipped kitchen with microwave, dishwasher and washing machine. Please note there is no freezer. A small patio garden with a BBQ leads to a raised decking area with table and chairs for outdoor drinking and dining. Three bedrooms: double, twin (one single and one small double bed), single. Bed linen and bedding is provided. Cot and high chair available (bring cot bedding). Large bathroom with hot shower over bath.
Llanrwst is an historic market town with interesting local shops, familiar supermarkets/convenience stores, great Chinese, Bangladeshi and Fish and Chips takeaways, Welsh tea rooms, pubs to suit every taste. Within 5 minutes walk you can be in a pub, shop, restaurant or walking along by the river with views across the valley, or at the beautiful tearooms across the bridge for an ice cream, near childrens' play area and recreation ground.
  • This property was convenient for our needs, and we were pleased to find 3 local supermarkets a short walk away, along with a post-office, and reasonable close local street parking but for over-night only. If you want to get easily to other places and want a base that sleeps 5, and don't mind it being a little basic, this will do you just fine.

    Phil2017-10-02T00:00:00Z
  • Everything possible was done to ensure our arrival was smoothe and welcoming. Having access to a telephone number when we got lost was fantastic. Thye house was amazing, light, bright and immaculately clean. There was plenty of everything we needed for our group stay. Bedding and towels were included which was an added bonus, and these too were immaculately clean. We wanted for nothing, except a few more sunny mornungs, but this is wales we are talking about, and even then, we were never far from something to occupy us. Thank you Fran for the use of a lovely house.

    Hilary2016-07-31T00:00:00Z
  • Fran was very helpful, and she replied to my queries prior to the booking fairly quickly, which was useful. She put us in touch with the housekeeper, who was extremely helpful and on the end of the phone both before and during our stay if we needed to contact her. The house itself was lovely- a lot bigger than we'd expected, clean, and with everything we needed. Shower fantastic. No wifi (as we were aware), but we had enough phone signal for this. Parking - the free car park over the bridge was fine, but as it was about 2 minutes away, less fine in the rain. However, the other car parks (that you can pay for I think) were a little bit closer. Shops and restaurants nearby too. The only slightly negative point about this place was the main road that the house is on- the two front bedrooms faced it, and it was noisier than we'd expected (lorries and trucks more frequent than anticipated). However, this was only a minor drawback to an otherwise fantastic escape from London!

    Amy2016-02-22T00:00:00Z
  • No 9 Bridge St is a 3 bed house on the main road in a lovely town with a river running behind and some nice places to eat. Central to walking area of Snowdonia - only 15 mins drive from Pen-y-pass car park. We felt it could do with an extra toilet for 4 of us but it was a good base and had everything we needed for a couple of days.

The cottage is just a short drive from the coast and is ideal for walking, cycling, surfing, sightseeing and much more. Perfect for couples, solo adventurers, and business travellers. Within walking distance are some great pubs / restaurants, a waterfall called the Fairy Falls and a Woollen Mill. There is also a large number of established walking routes in the surrounding area.
There are gardens surrounding the property with various seating areas overlooking the beautiful valley and Gwydyr Forest.
Trefriw is situated on the edge of Snowdonia and lies on the river Crafnant. The village itself is surrounded by beautiful countryside which can be explored by car, foot or bicycle. The property is ideally located with pubs, restaurants and local shops within walking distance. It is also only 10 minutes away from the hugely popular Betws-Y-Coed and just over 10 miles from the coast.
  • We loved this cosy, modern cottage. Luke suggests lots of great things to do in the area and the food in his favourite pub was delicious! We loved using the open fire and it has the comfiest bed I've ever slept in! It's in a fantastic location and parking where Luke suggests is not a problem. We would definitely stay here again and would recommend to family and friends.

Llanwrst is an old but small market town with many old buildings ands plenty of history
  • Probably very good for summer, but the heating proved insufficient for December/January. Everything else was good. Excellent location and nice setting.

  • great value, amazing location and most helpful host ive experienced in my many times i visit snowdonia. well worth staying here

    matthew2017-11-19T00:00:00Z
  • We stayed at the chalet for one night in the off-season of December. I believe the chalet would have adequately fit our needs if we knew that heating and electricity were not included in the cost and we would need to bring pound coins with us. It was very cold in the place upon arrival so it took quite a bit of time to warm up with the radiators. Sue provided us with one pound coin for the heating/electric. Unfortunately it shut off in the middle of the night and we woke up in the morning freezing cold and with no electricity. It is no ones fault but I only wish we had known to bring a few pound coins with us as they do not last very long with running the heat. Other than that we have no complaints except we were expecting the place to be a bit more in nature as opposed to next to a road! The chalet was a very nice size and was clean. I'm sure in the warmer seasons it is the perfect holiday home! Sue was very helpful and gave us lots of tips about where to go in the local area. Thanks to her advice we had a lovely dinner at an amazing Indian restaurant.

    Emily2017-12-03T00:00:00Z
  • Sue's chalet was perfect for our short break - right next to the river with the most gorgeous view and it was very peaceful and relaxing. The chalet had all the basics needed and comfy sofas for relaxing on after a hard day enjoying the gorgeous surroundings and the most enormous soft towels too! It is only a short walk to shops and restaurants - we self catered so didn't visit any restaurants but took a walk to the local Spar for supplies. Sue's responses to my messages were the fastest I have ever had. I would not hesitate to stay here again - thanks again Sue.

  • Simple but effective. Great value accomodation when we visited the WRC rally near by. Close to the town and facilities

  • Very good place to have a good time with friends or small family for a short visit to snowdonia. Close to snowdon and other beautiful places. Relaxing and comfortable, only “issue” was: cleaning products which in our opinion are essential, we like to leave the house clean, especially on check out... this time we didn’t, but Sue was so kind to help us with that. She’s very quick, kind and helpful. Great place and host.

    Antonio2017-12-26T00:00:00Z
  • Sue's place is in an ideal location for any activities in/around Snowdonia. It's a quiet location and a clean chalet. Sue is a very efficient host!

A beautiful river side location with chalets to suit all sizes of family. Central location for all North Wales attractions with good local walking and cycling. Our chalets are all disabled friendly and all have wet rooms.
All chalets are self contained. We have 6 chalets sleeping 4 persons in each chalet. The small gardened quadrangle setting makes us ideal for large families and groups. The accommodation is clean and comfortable with TV, Cooker, Fridge Microwave Toaster etc we are ideally based for all the outside activities that this area has to offer. We're very convenient for Surf Snowdonia, Zipworld and Treetops. Snowdon is a short distance away. Our location makes for a great central location for trips north to the coastal attractions of Conwy, Llandudno and even Angelsey. Heading south, we are in easy reach of Tremadog, Blenau Ffestiniog and Portmerion. Our riverside setting makes for a peaceful spot to just take it easy too.
Llanwrst which is friendly and is less than 5 mins walking we have s co-op, spar newsagents there are plenty of place to eat including a very good Indian Restaurant , fish and chips and Chinese takeaway.
  • Great location with all the amenities we needed for a trip to Snowdon. Only very small downsides were having to top up the electricity (but it was only a few pounds over the weekend) and twin beds (as we were two couples). Sue is extremely helpful and had lots of recommendations for nearby. Would definitely return.

    Lucy2017-08-20T00:00:00Z
  • Comfortable, if a little dated, place to stay in an amazing location. Stunning views right outside the chalet. Some nice pubs and a great fish and chip place just a short walk away.

  • Great , place to stay for zip world and snowdon Sue is very friendly and helpful

    Elaine2017-08-23T00:00:00Z
  • The chalet is lovely, clean and has the most amazing view. Sue is a helpful and welcoming host, and even suggested a cute little place that sells tea and fresh scones not too far from the chalet (which we visited on our last day). We had a lovely stay and would not hesitate in booking with sue again :)

  • 2 bedroom chalet in a great location. 30 minutes drive to Snowdon, and a 5 minutes walk into the town of Llanwrst. Sue was a great host - making sure we had everything we needed when we arrived and always on hand to offer advice or recommendations for where to go and what to see.

In the spirit of Airbnb I've decided to rent out my spare room. The bedroom is clean and comfortable with a small double bed; the bathroom includes a bath and shower. My home is located in Llanrwst which is a great location for exploring North Wales; close to Mountain bike trails (including the Marin), Zip World, Surf Snowdonia, Snowdon, and many more local attractions. See below for travel times to above attractions.
My home is a clean and comfortable space for guests to stay, the atmosphere is quiet and relaxed. I currently live with housemates so you will likely bump into them during your stay
My home is located on a quiet friendly street and walking distance to all the local amenities, such as; Co-op supermarket, Spar minimarket (Open 6:30am to 11pm, 7 days), cafes, pubs, takeaways (Indian, Chinese, Kebab and Fish and Chips) etc.
  • Wonderful place to stay, Clean Room with calm atmosphere. Host has good knowledge on local places and helpful.

  • Dafydd was very friendly and helpful. The house was very clean and quiet. 10 out of 10. Thanks.

    Iago2016-05-16T00:00:00Z
  • My husband and I stayed with Dafydd, while exploring Llanrwst. We were there for a family wedding, so we actually didn't see Dafydd very much. It is a very basic room, but the house is clean and the location is great!

    Jenna2016-08-21T00:00:00Z
  • The location was good for us to explore Snowdonia and Llanwrst is a nice town. The room was clean and spacious. Dafyd was a nice host. Make sure to read the listing description as access to the rest of the house is limited.

  • Had a nice weekend away in North Wales; good location to explore from, nice house as seen in photos. Good value and close the the shops! Would recommend

    Daniel2017-04-30T00:00:00Z
  • It was such a great pleasure to stay at Dafydd's. He was extremely communicative and easy going. We were two women sharing a queen sized bed and the place was immaculately clean, a wonderful feat especially for a house share! We were able to park our rented car by the side of the road. And I would recommend checking out a cute small tea room by the river called Tu Hwnt i'r Bont. There's also a Co-op supermarket nearby and it was easy to get into the National Park.

  • Great experience. Comfortable room with all the basic amenities. Clean.

  • My girlfriend and I had a really nice stay at Dafydds place, though it was quite short. We arrived in the evening where Dafydd kindly welcomed us to his place, and left in the morning. Dafydd was a great host and his place is clean and cozy. If we could we would have stayed longer.

The campsite is with a short drive of Snowdonia footpaths and very close to zip world fforest. The caravan is just right for a mum and a couple of children, or a couple with one child. It's warm and has the basic essentials to make a stay easy and fun.

Unique glamping site at the foot of the beautiful Snowdonia mountain range in North Wales. Stay in our luxuriously furnished, handcrafted and painted mongolian yurt Rhiannon, set in its very own field, full of wild flowers, birdsong and the most spectacular views. Inside the yurt there is a central wood burning stove to keep you cosy, a comfy double bed and 2 futons (1 double, 1 single). Cook up a hot supper inside the yurt, or have a bbq outside whilst watching the sun go down.
Our yurts are located in their very own beautiful field! Amazing views across the valley and of the mountains beyond.
North Wales is jam-packed with outdoor activities such as mountain biking, canoeing, climbing, walking, surfing, treetop adventure, zip wire and underground trampoline. This part of wales is also steeped in local history from celtic burial chambers to famous castles. This beautiful area is a paradise for artists, photographers and creative types.
  • Beautiful surroundings, lovely yurt and a wonderful host! Jo (and Cleo) was very welcoming and had some great recommendations for walks and cake shops. The location is secluded and peaceful, but just a short drive to activities such as the Bounce Below caves and Surf Snowdonia, as well as countless picturesque walks.

    Camilla2016-06-13T00:00:00Z
  • We loved our stay in yurt rhiannon. The views are breathtaking and waking up to the sound of sheep is just magic. Great way to relax. Would definitely recommend and we can't wait to go back.

    Marta Brown2016-07-24T00:00:00Z
  • Fabulous! Views spectacular. Yurt is cosy and everything you'd want. Jo is warm friendly and helpful. One word of advice...There is an"easy" and "difficult" way to access the site. Our satnav took us the difficult way (of course) not impossible but not for the nervous driver or those with large vehicles! I'm sure Jo would happily advise on the best route in :)

    daniel2016-05-03T00:00:00Z
  • Myself and 3 friends had a brilliant time staying in this quaint and well-equipped yurt. It was located in a scenic secluded field, with views across Snowdonia. The yurt itself had everything you could have wished for, including a hot shower (in another building close by). I would recommend this trip to anyone who wants to try something a little different- we had a blast.

    Katie2017-05-14T00:00:00Z
  • These yurts are some of the best that we have stayed in. They are well equipped and your own 'personal' shower block is a very short walk away. The best thing is the awesome location with spectacular views of the mountains. We would highly recommend this location.

    Kevin2017-04-10T00:00:00Z
  • We had a lovely stay at the yurt. Beautiful scenery, and very cosy and warm atmosphere. Brand new facilities - shower, toilet etc. would highly recommend this to anybody.

    Sean2015-08-23T00:00:00Z
  • Fantastic location for discovering Snowdonia, the Yurt is fantastic and perfect for a family or couple and really cosy. The icing on the cake is the brand new private bathroom for each Yurt and your own field with views! The pictures on the site don't do it justice, thanks for lovely stay Jo we will hopefully be back next year.

    Jon2015-08-25T00:00:00Z
  • We had an absolutely lovely time staying here. The views are amazing and it was so peaceful. It was just as described and pictured but does need to be seen to be believed. There were lots of little touches that really brought the experience together. Jo made us feel very welcome and that if we needed any help it was only a short walk away. Cleo, the dog, was an added bonus, absolutely adorable, and loved to play. I would highly recommend this for a break to get away from the hustle and bustle.
