Scenic Viewpoint
“A hidden treasure: its wetlands and mangroves providing vital benefits to Sarasota Bay, bringing food and shelter to fish and wildlife and serving as a filter against pollution and protection from erosion. The property is a woodland that contains winding trails of stony footpaths and boardwalks connecting one section of the preserve to another, a man-made lagoon that contains blue-green and brown algae that attracts fish such as conch, whelk, mullet and wading birds. A 100-year-old natural lagoon that is a pristine mangrove area for young fish and crabs. It is an extremely compelling experience to walk the trail to the end, then lean on the boardwalk railing and gaze at the full panorama of downtown Sarasota.”

“A small but beautiful park on the south end of Longboat Key. This is a great spot for beautiful views of New Pass. ”
