  • Lovely place to stay in a beautiful part of Ireland, friendly knowledgeable host, and great place to wake up in a lovely home. Wifi is virtually non existent, and the Continental Breakfast is Tea/Coffee with only cold soda style bread (2 pieces a person) with jam and butter.

  • This place is incredible. We had a great opportunity to taste a bit of the local culture and living. Denise is very kind and full of information about the area. The local tips and the warm reception are out of the ordinary. Also, the acommodations are very comfortable.

  • If you are considering staying here, do not hesitate a moment longer. Our time with Denise and Seamus was the highlight of our trip to Ireland - the amazing location, delicious handmade baked goods, evening chats and laughs, and exceptional holiday recommendations, everything was more perfect than we could have imagined.

    Zachary2019-11-28T00:00:00Z
  • An amazing place to stay! Make sure to check out the breath taking waterfall a mile from the house. The breads were wonderful, and the local honey she provides... I wanted to eat the whole bowl!! A beautiful scenic drive to or from Dublin awaits you! The views were amazing, but make sure to allow time to have tea and visit with Denise, she is a true gem of Ireland. Definitely hope to return to her place.

    Wes2019-11-26T00:00:00Z
  • Denise and her husband have a beautiful and perfectly clean home set in a breathtaking location. From the moment we arrived we felt like family! She gave great local recommendations and went above and beyond to accommodate us. We delighted in hearing their stories and wish we could have stayed in the area longer. We plan to come back and see more of this picturesque region of Ireland! I highly recommend staying with Denise & Seamus in the Wicklow Mountains!

  • Great place to stay to get away from it all for a while. The hosts are great, there's plenty of space, and you're not far out of town.

    Simon2019-11-10T00:00:00Z
  • I had a wonderful stay, Denise and Seamus gave me excellent tips and directions on the best places to walk and go and made me feel exceptionally welcome.

    Emmet2019-11-05T00:00:00Z
  • The pictures on the web site cannot fully express the beauty of the homes location. With multiple waterfalls within miles of the home to the river running in front of it one would be hard pressed to find something comparable.

  • Denise and Seamus were incredibly welcoming, I really can't recommend their space and hospitality highly enough. The area is beautiful and they offered us loads of local tips to make our stay extra special. Fresh eggs for breakfast were an amazing added bonus! I hope it won't be our last trip to this lovely and welcoming Airbnb.

  • Denise and Seamus were very very welcoming. They will tell you anything and everything about their wonderful home and village. The cottage was very cute and cozy. It has little quirky features that take a little getting used to, but Denise's instruction booklet helps a lot to help figure things out on the first day :) If you want an authentic Irish Country side feel for your vacation and to get away from the hustle and bustle of life, this is the perfect BnB! I really can't thank this wonderful couple enough for sharing this beautiful place with us, treating us like family and making our vacation that much better :)

    Elizabeth2019-10-12T00:00:00Z

    Glendalough, Wicklow, Ireland

An exceptional rustic retreat in the heart of Glendalough, ‘An Cillín’ takes its aesthetic cue from its stunning natural surroundings and echoes the ancient welcoming atmosphere of the historic monastic city which it overlooks. This is a truly unique studio cottage, with bog oak and yew timber features, an antique limestone sink and leaded glass church windows. Cosey up next to an authentic wood burning stove and enjoy our ‘monsoon’ rain shower or watch the stars from your own private garden
An adjoining courtyard framed by beautiful, traditional willow fences and featuring an outdoor pizza oven and fire pit, provides the perfect setting to enjoy a glass of wine to the soundtrack of mountain streams and The Glendasan river. You will also have access to your own private terraced garden that boasts unrivaled views of the valley, and Derrybawn and Camadeery mountains. Adorned with ancient granite ‘mushrooms’ and benches, and two incredibly comfy ‘egg swing chairs’ this is the ideal spot to drink in the postcard perfect vista.
Just five minutes from the famous Glendalough Round Tower, ‘An Cillín’ is the ideal place from which to explore Glendalough. We are within walking distance of the nearby award-winning Wicklow Heather Restaurant but transport to and from the restaurant can be arranged should you so desire. The Conservatory Cafe opens daytime Saturdays and Sundays and deserves its renown as a very special place to dine.
  • This is such a magical find! We enjoyed a couple of days surrounded by beautiful countryside in this cosy little place. The room was lovely and toasty, with wonderful traditional decor. Spotlessly clean, a fabulous shower and oh my goodness the view of the sky on a clear night is breath-taking!! The perfect base to explore the area or to just get away from it all for a while. Cillian was a perfect host - thank you!

Nestled in a secluded spot near the village of Roundwood Co. Wicklow in the "Garden of Ireland". You can chill and have a drink in the highest pub in Ireland or hike away. This is a quiet rural location, there is no public transportation so your own transport is essential. A light cooked breakfast is included

  • Graham was a phenomenal host. He gave great advice on locations to drive through with beautiful scenery, rather than us driving the M50 straight to Cork. We saw so much more than we had originally planned for and are so grateful. The company and environment was relaxing and welcoming. Star, his lab, is adorable and steals your heart. Would highly recommend to anyone staying in the Wicklow/Glendalough area.

  • Marie was a wonderful host, we felt very welcome and had a great stay in her big house with lots of details in furniture and accessories and had a great breakfast. Her beautiful garden is rather a park definitely worth a walk, even now in autumn there were still many plants blossoming!

    Carolin2019-10-13T00:00:00Z
  • Marie was such a wonderful host and made us feel so welcome. Lovely home and comfortable room, felt right at home! Recommend the best place for lunch and the location was beautiful. Definitely recommend staying here!

    Gina2019-10-12T00:00:00Z
  • Marie’s place was our introduction to Ireland and served as a fantastic base to explore Glendalough and the Wicklow Mountains. The location was excellent. As for the room and house itself, it was all superb. The room was nice and spacious. The house was beautiful and the gardens around the house were spectacular, even with it being October. The amenities were great, and the breakfast served was fantastic, including homemade bread and marmalade. The best part of the stay was Marie herself. She immediately made us feel at home from the moment we stepped through her door. She helped us settle in quickly and was very attentive to our needs and offered great recommendations for around the area and our trip in general. I cannot say enough great things about Marie and the accommodations she is offering. We would stay there again anytime.

    Jeremy2019-10-09T00:00:00Z
  • Marie’s place was absolutely wonderful! I was astonished that the flowers still looked so beautiful at the beginning of October. Her place is centrally located for Glendalough, Laragh, and the Wicklow mountains which are the places I explored prior to going to the B&B. Marie and her son, Paul, were both outstanding hosts. I enjoyed talking to them and getting tips for my travels! Her homemade bread was excellent. I will definitely stay at Marie’s again if I return to Ireland in the future.

It was a very cosy stay in a very homey atmosphere bringing visitors together. The breakfast was spot on and James helped me out on both days with navigation to see all of the best spots the area has to offer. Perfect location for all hiking needs. He was even kind enough to only wake up in order to drop another girl and I to the bus stop. Thank you again James, until next time!

A lovely, little home in a quaint decorative style, nestled in rural County Wicklow "The garden of Ireland". Pulpit Cottage offers hospitality, peace and tranquility. It is an ideal location for touring the Wicklow Hills or visiting the ancient monastic city of Glendalough. Close to all amenities you can chill and have a drink in the highest pub in Ireland or just hike away. Please note that there is no public transport near this accommodation so your own transport is essential.
  • Graham was in hospital (still answered my phone when needed, which was really nice of him), his wife is the one who took care of us. We got a coffee machine as there was only instant coffee, after we requested it, and anything else we needed as well. There were some food things to start with in the fridge – generously. The house was lovely almost in all ways, except for the second bed which is actually not fitting for adults, only for children. Although Graham did mention it might not be suitable when my friend checked it out beforehand.

  • This cottage is in a stunning location in one of the most beautiful places in Ireland. The cottage was much bigger than originally expected. The place was spotless and everything possible had been provided for our stay. Getting to this place can be difficult but is truly worth it! I would recommend this place to everyone, 10/10.

  • Great location tucked away in a small town near Glendalough. Perfect for a weekend getaway from the city with all you could ask for.

    Heather2019-11-17T00:00:00Z
  • Great spot! It was an excellent getaway from the busy city. Ivan was a great host and we definitely appreciate his patience since my sister and I got a little lost on our way there. (I mapped us to a spot near by and not the exact location. Totally my fault since I had the correct address). We spent a day exploring Glendalough which is super close and had great spots to explore and hike. Would definitely book again or recommend.

    Christina2019-11-11T00:00:00Z
  • We were after a romantic house in the Irish countryside and Ivan's place more than delivered. It is a quiet cottage in Ivan's garden, completely separate from the main house. We checked in with no problem at all, Ivan gave us a few suggestions of places to visit and we settled in well. There's a wood burning fire, 2 comfy bedrooms, a large well stocked kitchen/diner, and great lounge area with plenty of dvd's and games. Bring food with you, and relax. Can highly recommend the Wicklow Heather for dinner which is nearby but you'll have to book in advance. The local countryside is just stunning, well worth exploring!

Glendalough Glamping is a family run enterprise. The family have lived in the Wicklow mountains for several generations. The glamping site is part of a 21 acre farm on which a herd of rare breed Shropshire sheep are kept by the family. Wild deer are regularly seen grazing in the open glades in the morning and evening time. The site is ideal for relaxing and unwind close to nature.
Glendalough Glamping is located on the side of Wicklow mountains, the Pods are accessible via a main path from the reception building. The kitchen, toilet/showers and laundry room are all in the reception building. The Pods are either with a double bed or twin beds if preferred and one sofa bed that could sleep 1 or 2 children. The site is suitable to wheelchair users.
  • Beautiful spot located right outside the city. Patrick was very nice and greeted us right on arrival, showed us around and gave valuable suggestions for dinner and places to visit. Would definitely return when in the area again!

    Andrew2019-09-16T00:00:00Z
  • LOVED staying here, wished we booked more nights! Quiet little getaway with a unique touch.

    Erin2019-08-19T00:00:00Z
  • Glendalough Glamping is the queen of campsites. The best word to describe it is probably "well-provisioned". Patrick has thought of absolutely everything - the industrial-standard kitchen is incredibly organised and well-appointed (no need to wastefully buy salt and pepper etc). Both kitchen and bathroom are sparkling clean and feel safe and warm. The pods are incredibly cosy and comfortable, and even have a little dustpan and brush to clean boot dirt off the floor. The kettle was much appreciated, as were the many freshwater taps dotted around the campsite. Patrick was so welcoming and very knowledgable of the Glendalough and Laragh area, advising us on the best routes and spots around the lakes. This is glamping at it's best, with an emphasis on the "gl". The pods are spacious and warm with comfy beds and a lovely "outside" feel without the bugs and difficulties of a classical campsite. We stayed two nights and would have loved to stay for more!

  • This bed and breakfast was a dream!! Helpful hosts, delightful decor and a fantastic view! It's close enough to get into Dublin (and the airport in less than an hour) and offers a beautiful drive through the countryside. It was charming and peaceful and welcoming. I would highly recommend and would be more than happy to stay here again! p.s. The full Irish breakfast was delicious and they have so many great things to offer travelers!

  • This place is adorable and scenic beyond belief (inside and outside), but difficult to find. Make sure you've got plenty of time before dark to make your way there, and that you've pre-loaded the map/directions as you'll likely lose service on your way. The guests seemed to be a bit younger than the avg B&B demographic - it was sort of like a hip, upscale hostel in feel. There were snacks and drinks provided 24/7 with fair prices and "honor system" payment. The main room has a gorgeous view and was well occupied as a casual lounge - folks seemed free to use the space as they wished, no lace doilies or personal knick knack shelves in the main room clearly designed for guest use. There's a smallish dog named Bob and he is a very good boy who likes scritches and pets and curling next to the nearest human. We wished we could have stayed longer - the area is incredible and perfect for hiking and wandering. Don't make our mistake, definitely give yourself two nights at the inn so you get a full day in the mountains.

  • Aoife was not there during our stay, she had left her home to us. One of her friends were there to greet us, answer our questions and make breakfast the next day. Aoife has a very colorful and friendly house, everything is done for the good we feel it. It is between countryside and mountains in the heart of Wicklow. I fell in love with your horses!

Hazel Cottage, one of 2 cottages, is set in beautiful surroundings in the Glenmacnass Valley, in the heart of the Wicklow Mountains National Park, an area designated as an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. It is just 2.5km from the village of Laragh. There is plenty of peace and quiet, yet we are only a short drive from pubs, restaurants and the famous Glendalough Monastic Site.
Hazel Cottage has two bedrooms, one double and one twin, both with en-suite shower rooms. A fully fitted kitchen/dining/lounge with double doors leads to an enclosed patio area with beautiful views. There is an enclosed childrens playground and over 2 acres of land to sit, relax and admire the scenery. WiFi is available, though as we live in the mountains please do not expect high speed broadband!
Nearby you will find local shops, pubs and restaurants. We are just 1 km from the Wicklow Way Trail and have many other walking and hiking routes just a short distance away in Glendalough. There are many tourist attractions to see, some within 20 - 45 mins away: Powerscourt Gardens, Mount Usher Gardens, Russborough House, Greenane Maze to name but a few. We will be happy to provide information and routes in respect of these and other attractions.
  • I would highly recommend the Mountain View Lodge. Kerry was so helpful and the cottage has everything you need. It’s close to everything and we will definitely be back.

  • Had a wonderful stay with a group of friends at the weekend. It's ideally located in a beautiful valley and close to beautiful walks. The shuttle service to the Wicklow Heather restaurant was amazing and meant we could relax even more. The house was amazing and we wish we could have stayed there longer.

  • This cottage is fantastic. The hosts John and Lisa welcomed us, had the fire lit and were happy to help out with tips on local amenities and entertainment. The house itself is gorgeous, fairly well provisioned and the design really is typical of an old irish cottage in a modern style. I am Irish myself and was really impressed with the eye or detail. The house was spotless , very clean and comfortable and warm. My only negative comment is that I had to leave ! Would love to have stayed longer ! We were there to hike around Glendaloug h and this location is perfect. Book this house immediately . Thank you John and Lisa.

  • Was a good stay. You had everything msn needed. Nicely decorated. Hostess was very helpful. Since I pay attention to cleanliness down to the smallest detail, I have to say that the place was really clean! Breakfast was pretty good too. Find that the price was very expensive for 1 night. Rooms are small but nice. Dee Orr is perfect for groups. Unfortunately you have about 40 minutes on foot (fast runners) to the village of Roundwood. You can also be driven for a small sum.

    Marie2017-08-20T00:00:00Z
  • James' place is a huge home in the middle of the Wicklow mountain area with beautiful 360 views and a cozy community-style home. We were lucky enough to have shared the place with several other guests from around the world at the time (Germany, local Ireland, France, South Africa), and loved sharing dinner and breakfast with them. We planned to head into town for dinner but James had a friend, Sasha, who was training to be a chef, so we stuck around and had a meal made for us. Great great food though perhaps a bit too much (hah!)... but also great accommodations and a beautiful location you just can't beat. James is also great for hiking tips and great scenic views for the adventurous souls out there. Perfect place to stay if you are! You'll probably share a bathroom with another guest if the place is full but this was no problem. Had a great time.

  • Very highly recommended. The house is beautiful and every care taken to ensure our stay was wonderfully memorable, from the high-vis vests for the short walk to one of five pubs, to the onsite pop-up cafe at the weekend. There was yummy Irish soda-bread and jam to welcome us and free range eggs and vegetable for sale with an honesty box. We very much hope to return.

  • The accommodation in Mrs. Conchita's house was very pleasant, spacious, comfortable and friendly. It exceeded all our expectations. We recommend to all.

    Marcel2019-08-17T00:00:00Z
  • We highly recommend this place. Conchita was very kind and helpful. There is plenty of space (private kitchen, bathroom, living-room), it's spotlessly clean and comfortable. The view is also great. We were greeted with delicious homemade bread and jam, and advice on how to use buses in the area. Conchita's place is also near beautiful hiking trails and 10 km from Glendalough.

    Amélie2019-08-13T00:00:00Z
  • A great base to explore. Exceeded our expectations in that we not only had 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms but a lounge and kitchen too, which was very well equipped and spotlessly clean. As previous reviewers have said, it didn’t feel as if we were sharing part of a house. Conchita was very welcoming and gave us a few tips on places to eat etc. Very good value for money. Would definitely recommend.

    Rhian2019-08-07T00:00:00Z
  • The Conchita's house is very well situated to visit Gendalough and the Wicklow mountains.

    Elisabeth2019-08-05T00:00:00Z
  • We are over the moon about Conchita’s place! Gorgeous bucolic setting with possibly the most gracious and welcoming host ever. Sparkling clean, beautiful decor, comfortable, with such thoughtful touches- Conchita makes you truly feel at home. Watch for the signs for The Dome and you’ll find the house easily! We hope we can return someday soon!

The scenery is beautiful in my area and there is a lovely view from my garden. You are ten minutes from Glendalough, Laragh and Roundwood and there are good restaurants in each place.
  • Marie was delightful and her home was charming. She was so thoughtful of our family and went out of her way to make us comfortable. We would definitely stay with her again if given the opportunity.

  • Marie offers the most beautiful house and garden you can imagine. Lovely rooms, nice and ample breakfast, at any time you want. Lovely rooms and cozy surroundings. Marie likes to share her knowledge of the surroundings, nature, places to eat and the cities. My warmest recommendations.

  • Marie is a very helpful and friendly hostess. The room was very nice and cozy and the garden charming! The breakfast was excellent and with Marie's directions, we found the place right away.

  • Marie was a kind host, just lovely. Her place was big, very authentic, but a little old and you could hear that ofcourse. Clean, just not in the somewhat hidden spots or the floor at some places. Nothing to worry about, but just something we noticed.

    Merel2019-10-12T00:00:00Z
  • Marie is an amazing host! We had a very warm welcome. Marie’s house is very cozy, the backyard is extraordinarily beautiful. The house is a perfect starting point for trips to the Wicklow mountains national park and the small villages around. Thanks for everything Marie!

A warm country bungalow nestled in the wicklow hills over looking the Inchavore river. An ideal location to sit back and unwind in the beauty of the Irish countryside. We are a stones throw from the monastic city of Glendalough and ideally located close to the Wicklow Way and only 45 minutes from Dublin.
An ideal place for the weary traveller to rest up and enjoy the peace and solace of the Irish countryside. With Glendalough being only a stones throw away and the Wicklow way on your door step there is much to explore. Your own transport is necessary.
  • Great guest house located next to a river, with a view of the valley.

  • Super Super Hosts!! ⭐️ Without doubt, my best experience to date using Airbnb!! Stephen and his parents were welcoming, charming and hospitable - they went, way over and above to make my stay the enjoyable one, that it was. It exceeded all expectations, and the location is just perfect. Thank you so much, I do hope I get the opportunity to visit again sometime in the future!

    Jason2019-11-17T00:00:00Z
  • It cannot said often enough that Stephens bungalow is a wonderful place to stay! After a very warm welcome by the host you feel like home. The house is more than clean and decorated with a lot of care and looks very inviting. Also you will find everything you need in the modern and comfortable kitchen and living room. However, if you should need some help Stephen and the other family members are more than willing to help you and they are always giving their best to make your stay as enjoyable as possible. Besides, in its surroundings there are a numerous of small villages, monuments and historic places to visit and if you stay at the accomodation you will meet the lovely horses or you can go for a walk down to the river. I highly recommend this accomodation to everyone who is looking for a beautiful place to stay!

    Annika2019-09-14T00:00:00Z
  • One of my nicest airbnb experiences of all time. Stephen and his parents let me check in really early as I was doing a mountaineering course, and even gave me a delicious breakfast when I arrived. The house itself is beautiful - a log cabin made by themselves - and the room charming and comfortable. Their hospitality was second to none, and I'll definitely be calling them again when I'm back in the area!

    Sarah2019-09-01T00:00:00Z
  • This is a wonderful place. The regular spot was booked so I was offered a great en-suite room in their main house. Great energy and great location. I highly recommend.

    Alicia2019-06-20T00:00:00Z
  • Some of the nicest people I've ever stayed with, this is such a lovely place and property. Beautifully placed within the Irish countryside, it's exactly why AirBnB can be so great, with personal touches and such generous hospitality. Couldn't recommend more highly!

    Catherine2019-02-16T00:00:00Z
  • The accommodation of Stephen and his family is a comfortable and quiet cottage surrounded by greenery, equipped with all the amenities. The welcome and hospitality was exquisite. I highly recommend it!

    Brunella2018-09-21T00:00:00Z
  • From my initial contact with Stephen he was the most helpful, gracious host. Because Michael and Mary's was fully booked Stephen offered me a room in his family home. I cannot stress enough what a wonderful weekend I had with this extremely kind and gracious family. This place is a piece of heaven on earth and I would encourage everybody to absolutely stay here. I would not only absolutely return to this airbnb, I would love to live there. Everything about my stay here was far beyond anything I would have expected!!!!! Thank you Stephen and family.

  • Very nice accommodation run by a caring team. I enjoyed the choice at breakfast and the available tea not to mention the possibility of having dinner on site (order it as soon as possible) as well as drinks available against payment in the fridge. Great location for hiking Wicklow. I recommend this peaceful place in the middle of nowhere and close to animals.

    Laurence2019-06-07T00:00:00Z
  • Nice place that was clean with a good layout. Food was really good and they had a small but very good menu. I would definitely stay here again.

    Derrick2019-05-12T00:00:00Z
  • Booked Lus Mor as a convenient location in The Wicklow Mountains for some serious walking. What a find! Wonderful, friendly welcome received on arrival, that continued throughout my stay. Molly, Julia and Penny could not do enough to ensure everything was perfect. James gave good local knowledge on suggesting and adapting hiking routes and the whole place had a relaxed vibe and homely feel. Food was excellent, prepared to individuals taste and so many thoughtful touches enhanced the stay. Bob (the dog) and Bill & Ben (miniature horses) were the icing on the cake. This is what all hostels should aspire to!

    Geraint2019-03-12T00:00:00Z
  • The place is located walking distance from the Wicklow Way and other lovely walks. I was the only guest, but still had full care and attention. Place was warm and very comfortable with a great view. There was also the option to order evening meals so I did not have to drive into the village after walking all day. Rebecca is a remarkable cook and I was quite pleased with her vegetarian offers.

    Maureen2018-11-15T00:00:00Z
  • Beautiful location, great food, and lovely accommodation. Can’t rave enough - I’ll definitely be back.

    Brogan2018-10-18T00:00:00Z
  • Good place to stay in Wicklow area. The house is clean, well equipped and the hosts James and Rebecca are very helpful. You can even have a good diner in the place looking at the nature all around you.

    Baptiste2018-07-21T00:00:00Z
  • Lus Mor is very comfortable and fit our family perfect. The breakfast that was included was great. Rebekah and James, our hostess's, were very nice and helpful. I would try and arrive before nightfall, only because the B&B is a bit remote and the road is a bit narrow.

    Deborah2018-05-28T00:00:00Z
  • Very nice place to stay, nice atmosphere and furniture! Although we were in the dorm and shared a room with other people we didnt miss a thing, dinner which is optional available was also delicious. Very recommended although you need to be aware that there is no Restaurant/Supermarket etc nearby, at least not within walking distance. But a great place to relax, nice surroundings and hiking spots!

The Wicklow Gap, Powerscourt Waterfall, and Johnny Fox’s Pub are all less than 30 min away, and Glendalough is less than 15 min away. Wilna gave us terrific recommendations on places to eat and things to do. Her place was clean and cozy. Highly recommend Wilna’s place!

  • Beautiful apartment in a large garden with trampoline, playhouse and slide. Great for our kids (2 & 6 years old) who could play safely on the premises. Vilna and her family are very friendly and attentive hosts. The location of the apartment is very well suited as a base in the Wicklow Mountains. Roundwood is nearby and a nice place with shopping.

A 2 minute drive to Glendalough lakes, this beautiful Victorian Lodge was built in 1845 & is full of old world charm. Built as the Royal Irish Constabulary headquarters for the valley of Glendalough, The Lodge is listed by the Irish Government as a building of historical significance & importance. Sitting in the village of Laragh Glendalough in the Wicklow mountains and walking distance to the lakes it is a walkers, hikers, mountain bikers, golfers paradise. Cosy, rustic & very comfortable.
The Lodge oozes character and charm. The vintage AGA cooker is great to cook on and does great roasts. Two open fireplaces in the lounge and dining room will enhance the atmosphere after a day in the mountains. Four double bedrooms and one small box room with a single bed. Private courtyard to rear of house with an excellent custom built BBQ area and access through to the garden. The courtyard is great for keeping bicycles.
The village of Laragh, beside Glendalough is a popular tourist village for hikers and cyclists. In the heart of Wicklow, also known as the Garden of Ireland. This is also a very spiritual place and a good place to quiet the mind. This area has some of the most striking views in Ireland
  • We absolutely loved staying at Jack’s place!!! We had a perfect Christmas family holiday here!! Jack had the house decorated with Christmas decorations, fires ready to go & his home was full of charm. Great location. I would highly recommend anyone to stay here.

  • Lovely house , we booked it attending an event in glendalough house which is only 5 minutes away. Shop next door if you need anything but jack had nearly everything you would need in the house. Such an old cosy feel to it with an open fire too. Great for big groups as so spacious

  • Stephen's place was comfortable and beautiful inside and out. It had everything we wanted. Eating scones and drinking tea by the fire while watching the sun rise made the highlights of my time in Ireland. Stephen himself made the stay special by his responsiveness to our needs, showing us the horses, etc. Thank you!

    Danny2020-03-06T00:00:00Z
  • Stephen's house is superb, the rooms are large, the bedding is excellent and our arrival was greeted by a beautiful fire :) It is simply a perfect place to stay and visit the Wicklows (which are superb). Stephen is very friendly, responds very quickly and has recommended excellent addresses: I recommend!

    Adrien2020-03-02T00:00:00Z
  • Absolutely beautiful place, Stephen is an excellent host and the house was perfect for a gathering of friends (9 of us) for a weekend in Wicklow. The house was very well equipped with everything you need, Stephen even dropped in with more fuel for the fire the second night which was wonderful. It's a perfect base for going hiking around the Wicklow mountains and even if the weather is awful, you can relax inside and get cosy by the fire. Would definitely recommend to anyone looking for a quiet, private place for a getaway with friends or family.

    Aoife2020-02-23T00:00:00Z
  • The house is very tastefully furnished and extremely cosy. Stephen was really accommodating and gave us great hiking and restaurant recommendations and He kindly checked in with us every day. We had a lovely weekend.

    Laetitia2020-02-09T00:00:00Z
  • Stephen’s place is a total haven set in a wonderful location, it’s comfortable, warm, stylish, and so well facilitated. Stephen was the best of hosts. He was so obliging and friendly. I would highly recommend it.

    Linda2019-11-23T00:00:00Z
  • A great place to stay for a weekend with family. Upon arrival there was a fire lit and a freshly baked cake! The house itself is extremely cozy and a great base to explore the surrounding countryside, if you do decide to leave it!

    Una2019-11-17T00:00:00Z
  • My best advice to anyone considering this rental is to stop thinking and reserve it. You will not be disappointed. This home is a slice of heaven on an amazing property. My family of four (2 adults and 2 kids ages 12 and 8) stayed here for a week. My parents joined us for three nights. We especially loved having the soccer field (aka football pitch) to use every day. We also loved walking down to the river and visiting the ponies. Upon arrival, we found enough food in the fridge for dinner and breakfast the next morning, as well as a bowl of fruit and some chocolates. This was absolutely wonderful so we didn't have to go to the supermarket when we were exhausted from travel. If we ever return to Ireland (and I sincerely hope we do), we will definitely stay here again. Thank you Stephen!!

    Lisa2019-11-03T00:00:00Z
  • Stephen's place is one of my favorite experiences with Airbnb - close enough to Dublin so it's easy to get to, privacy and space with nature, and great hosting. Thank you so much!

  • What a neat place! I was hesitant given the shared room, but I loved it. The vibe was friendly and modern. You’re right on their farm with sheep and little horses. Inside has a lot of space, constant water (with pitchers of different fruits and herbs—nice touch), coffee, and tea. Breakfast was delicious. James sat with me and helped me plan/reroute my trip due to bad weather at my next destination. Worth checking out.

  • James Hostel has everything you need to prepare a hike in the Wicklow mountains oder Rest after one of these. It is located within the Wicklow Hiking Route and a 5 minute drive away from the next town (Roundwood); Glendalough is a half an hour drive. We stayed one day/night before we got back to Dublin airport and it was the perfekt end for our little road trip through Ireland. We really enjoyed playing guitar and the best pizza (La fig Roundwood). The place is fully equipped and offers a lovely breakfast buffet. Highly recommend James Bnb! Best wishes

  • If all dorms were like this, I'd stay in them every time! The dorm room is so well set up and doesn't feel at all cramped or crowded - it is huge and everyone gets their own space. The bathrooms are modern and clean. The common area is well appointed (with the most comfortable couch in the world!) and there is wine and snacks available on an honesty-box system - very pleasant to be able to enjoy a glass of wine with an incredible view and such a relaxing, away-from-it-all atmosphere. The staff are lovely and there is a helpful notice board with local tips. Full cooked Irish breakfast was excellent. Overall, can't fault this place, wish I had been staying longer! Highly recommend - go experience it for yourself :)

    Joanna2019-05-15T00:00:00Z
  • I highly recommend and would love to return to this place! I went there to retreat into nature for a few days on my own after a weekend in Dublin with friends and it was ideal. The surrounding landscape is beautiful - brilliant place to run or walk around from going down to the loop around the lake or up to the 360 view of Ireland. Don't let the weather get to you and get out there! A big breakfast is included every morning and there's a menu (extra charge) for lunch and dinners. It's about a 40 minute walk to the bus stop / town (pubs and small food shop) so factor that in if not with you're own transport. I was picked up on arrival, though, as it was dark and stormy - very much appreciated! The hosts were all lovely, welcoming and accommodating. It was very clean, tidy and homely. Many thanks again. Also a sweet lil dog and two friendly ponies - what more could you want?

    Abi2019-03-17T00:00:00Z

  • A great spot on the Wicklow Way. Very relaxed atmosphere. Great breakfast service as well! A car is a handy addition if you’re staying a few nights in the area. Definitely worth a visit.

  • It was the most cute dormitory I've ever slept - so colorful and with lot of space.

  • I cannot say enough positive things about Lus Mor B&B. Rebecca was very hospitable, as was Bob, the official house dog. The dinner was on par with any high-end restaurant, and the accommodations were comfortable and affordable. I was very lucky to meet some interesting people there, and I would definitely return if I was in the area again.

  • Lus Mor is the perfect backpacker's layover. Just a 20-minute walk from the Wicklow Way, and not much further from lake Tay. The house is very charming, comfortable, and attracts an awesome bunch of people. Loved the staff! At the same time, there's all you'd expect — clean, comfortable, spacious, well equipped. Great value for the dollar. Thanks!

  • The hostel is clean, comfortable, and friendly. The breakfast and dinners are absolutely delicious. The hospitality is top notch. I’d recommend anyone who wants to stay in the Wicklow countryside to stay here.

  • After several days of staying in busy cities, staying here was a breathe of fresh air - literally. The smell of delicious food being cooked all day long, mellow tunes, sunshine streaming in, and cozy spaces for reading made this space feel like home. And did I mention the incredible guests and staff? And Bob the dog?? Not to mention the accessibility to Glendalough and the Wicklow Mountains. I’m incredibly grateful for my stay here.

  • This place exceeded my expectations. From the moment I walked in, I felt welcome. I got in touch with the staff and other guests, ate delicious food and had a great time while at the hostel. Can definitely recommend!
