  • Ali was the perfect host with a lovely family and was extremely helpful, our accomodation was superb, the bed was excellent with lots of goodies to choose from for breakfast. I wish our stay could have been longer. I would definitely recommend the Almshouses accomodation should anyone want a break in the countryside.

  • A great suite in a beautiful location. A real pleasure to become acquainted with Ali and her family, including Huxley the puppy - all rolling toffee and joie de vivre. We happened to visit to discover the area ahead of moving there, while they organised a very impressive country fair just up the road. Despite needing to be seeing to this when we arrived, Ali arranged for their very helpful friend Kelly to welcome us, show us around and give tips/directions for a great pub meal nearby (Old Lion, Harborough Magna). The combo of well-provisioned and ingenious breakfast cabinet+fridge combo worked very well for us. The hen racing at the fair was a particular highlight of the weekend but even if you can't coincide with that, you're in for an idyllic experience.

  • This quiet little Almshouse Annex was a fantastic find and my husband and I were impressed with the whole experience. Communication with Ali during the booking process was quick and easy, she gave simple directions and was accommodating when we phoned in advance to say we were running late. Upon arrival, Ali couldn't have been more helpful. We were shown to our room and were impressed with the quality of accommodation. It was clean and tidy and the personal touches including wine in the fridge (which we didn't drink), filtered water, selection of cereals, tea and coffee (including espresso machine) and a jug of filtered water, we were not expecting!! Thank you so much Ali for being so welcoming and making our stay hassle free. We would highly recommend and if we find ourselves passing through the area again we will be giving you a call.

We have three beautiful ensuite rooms available in our spacious family home, nestled amongst miles and miles of greenery and farms. The house is comfortable and spacious and offers exquisite views of rural middle England. Guests are welcome to explore our land, which is home to horses, 3 Alpacas, a pig, cats and chickens. All rooms are provided with a kettle, tea and coffee and continental breakfast, as well as Wi-Fi, a television and hairdryer. Free secure parking is available.
All three bedrooms are ensuite and extremely spacious, with under-floor heating. All rooms are provided with a kettle, teas and coffees, and continental breakfast, as well as Wi-Fi, a television, hairdryer, fresh towels and toiletries. Free parking is also available. The house has a wonderful English country feel, with plenty of wooden beams, wooden floors, floor to ceiling windows and plenty of natural light flooding in and is set amidst farmland. The owners are a very friendly husband and wife with extensive knowledge of the area and thus able to recommend places to visit, things to do and restaurants to eat at. They are both keen horse riders and polo players and can arrange for a small fee to take you for a ride on one of their horses upon request. There is a supermarket a mile away that is open until late, the impeccable Grey Goose is only a mile away and offers exquisite British food in a delightful setting, with rave reviews on TripAdvisor. There are also plenty of English pubs to explore. The house is gated and extremely safe and is one in a hamlet of four others. While you are in our beautiful town of Lutterworth you can visit the beautiful Stanford Hall stately home and take in its exquisite grounds and drive a military tank around a WW2 bombing range at Armourgeddon. Of course, you are only a short drive from Leicester City with plenty to see and do, from the Richard III Visitor Centre to the Space Centre, Highcross Shopping Centre and the Cathedral. You can enjoy all the City has to offer from the seclusion of rural England.
The house is just outside of a lovely village called Gilmorton, which is three miles from Lutterworth Town. It is very easily accessible, the farm is easy to find but in case guests have trouble upon arriving, they are welcome to ring one of the home owners and we will be more than happy to guide them.

Fern Cottage is a large comfortable home of character, situated in the Heart of England. It provides a perfect base for exploring the region and an ideal stop-over when touring the UK. Gilmorton has three great pubs to eat and drink, plus a traditional tearoom at the village store.
We offer a double room with free Wi-fi, plus the added privacy of an adjacent bathroom for your personal use. You are also welcome to spend time on our roof terrace and relax in the garden. A varied breakfast is provided, including a traditional "full English". Gilmorton is a quintessential, rural village in South Leicestershire, close to the intersection of two old Roman roads (The Fosse Way and Watling Street). It is three miles from the historic market town of Lutterworth that is situated beside the M1 motorway (J20), which is three miles from the M6 (J1) and A14 (J1). With good driving conditions on the motorway network, Gilmorton is only a 45 minute drive from the local international airports of Birmingham, East Midlands and Luton. Using the M1, our village is less than two hours from London. And its surrounding airports of Gatwick, Heathrow and Stansted are all under three, each accessible to the circular M25, which interconnects with the M1. Gilmorton has three excellent pubs with outside patios - The Crown, The Grey Goose and The Red Lion. The latter also has a garden. Each serve meals to suit all budgets (see TripAdvisor). Within a five mile radius, there are also several villages to eat or drink. Lutterworth itself has ten restaurants (some of which are also pubs) offering a range of cuisine, including Chinese, Indian, Italian, Tex-Mex and Thai. In addition, there are two traditional English fish and chip shops in the town centre. The award-winning "Gilmorton Village Store", with its post office, cash point, delicatessen and tearoom, may be viewed in detail on the internet. The shop provides a wide variety of produce, including hot or cold food and homemade cakes to take away for your onward journey. Moreover, if you need a small gift for family or friends, the selection of locally made preserves, honey, biscuits and confectionery is ideal. Numerous footpaths criss-cross the village, including the Gilmorton Trail. These take in the medieval castle mound, historic church, recreation ground (with fitness equipment), the playing fields, village pond and each of the pubs. Just up our lane, by the old windmill, there are also lakes for freshwater fishing. For more active guests, Gilmorton Tennis Club courts (open throughout the year) are available for hire. Table tennis is also on offer every Thursday evening at the Playing Field Pavilion. Within half an hour around Gilmorton, there are various places to visit: In Lutterworth, St Mary's Church has two medieval wall paintings and the wonderful "community-made" Millennium Tapestry. The local museum is also of historical interest, featuring a railway layout of the old station and surrounding area. More famously, Lutterworth is associated with John Wycliffe (first translator of the Bible into English) and Sir Frank Whittle (pioneer of the jet engine). It is also home to Gideons International in the British Isles. At Bruntingthorpe, there is a decommissioned American Air Force Base, which offers occasional race track experiences. It also contains a Cold War Aircraft Museum and a private collection of iconic jets (open on Sundays). Continuing the military theme, one of Europe's premier tank driving and tank paint-balling experiences, "Armourgeddon" (reviewed on TripAdvisor)) is located at Husbands Bosworth. A little further east: the village of Foxton, set on the Grand Union Canal, with its flight of locks, “inclined plane”, museum, country walks and pub-restaurants, is a free all-year, national attraction. The nearby town of Market Harborough, noted for its up-market charity shops and municipal park with art-deco tearooms, is also well worth a visit. South of Gilmorton is Rugby and its fee-paying Public School, where William Webb Ellis invented the famous game. North leads to the 2016 premier league, football championship city of Leicester. At its centre is the UK's largest covered market ( including Gary Lineker's family fruit and veg stall!). The National Space Centre (devoted to exploration and astronomy) the New Walk Museum and the Richard III exhibition are nearby. In 2015, the remains of Richard III were buried in Leicester Cathedral, which is also open to the public. West of Gilmorton, is the attractive town of Market Bosworth and the battlefield where Richard died (with an excellent visitor centre and guided tours) . South-east of our village at Naseby is the site of another famous battle . The most decisive of the English Civil War, where King Charles I was defeated by Oliver Cromwell. Last but not least, the country estate of the Spencer family at Althorp, childhood home and burial place of Diana, Princess of Wales, is a thirty minute drive south. Many other historical and cultural attractions are also within easy reach. Just north of Leicester, Bradgate Park (the highest part of the county with wonderful walking) offers views of five other English counties from "Old John's Folly". Bradgate was also the ancestral home of Lady Jane Grey "the nine day queen" of Henry VIII and now houses a museum, visitor centre and tearooms. South-west, Coventry Cathedral, Royal Leamington Spa, Stratford-upon-Avon and the Birmingham LG Arena (an international venue for rock concerts and other events) are all approximately 45 minutes away. The castles of Nottingham, Warwick and Kenilworth are under an hour's radius, as is Birmingham city centre with its Symphony Hall, theatres, museums, art galleries, jewelry quarter and restored canal area. Oxford, the Cotswolds, Worcester Cathedral, the Malvern Hills, Ironbridge, the Peak District and Lincoln Cathedral are all within 75 minutes. If you are touring further afield: A three hour drive north, using either the M1 or M6 motorway network, will lead you to York and Bronte country, or Chester, Liverpool and the Lake District, respectively. We look forward to welcoming you at Fern Cottage.
  • Thanks Sue and Alan, For a lovely night. Even though we got delayed on the motorway arriving they were lovely and welcoming with a nice pot of tea and a brownie.

    James2015-09-13T00:00:00Z
  • Sue and Alan made us very welcome - with a cuppa and a log fire when we arrived wet and tired from our hiking. The house is well located for walking the Grand Union Canal and it was a shame we didn't have more time to sample the local pub gastronomy. Alan kindly printed us a map of his recommended walk around the Foxton Locks and we had a fascinating time exploring this marvel of Vistorian engineering. We stayed on our way further north and easily found the village coming off the M1. The house is comfy, clean and cosy, with a beautiful garden and intestesting cottagey period features. The breakfast was yummy - the fresh fruit salad was a real treat. Thank you again Airbnb for a great experience with lovely people!

    Becky and Bear2014-05-30T00:00:00Z
  • We had a lovely time with Sue and Allan. They were very hospitable. The home is in the township. We had a walk around the village then dinner at the local pub. Sue even rang ahead for us to make a booking. The room was very comfortable. Sue had placed a kettle and tea, coffee upstairs for us to use which was lovely to have in the morning. The breakfast was delicious and so much that we could not eat it all. Sue recommended places to visit and we were so pleased with Chester and the history in that town. We would recommend them to anyone.

    cherylyn2015-04-05T00:00:00Z
  • I was made extremely welcome in Sue and Alan's home. There is a pub about 100 metres away that does excellent evening meals for a reasonable price. Sue cooked me an awesome breakfast. I will definitely stay here again, if I'm in the area.

    Adrian2017-06-22T00:00:00Z
  • Sue and Alan were very welcoming and helpful ahead of our stay with local information. The room was comfortable and we had our own bathroom and dressing room, which was useful as we were going to a wedding. Breakfast was tasty and plentiful. The village has a post office where you can withdraw cash.

  • A comfortable bed, pretty room, great attention to detail with all the little 'extras' - and lots of hot water for the deep bath I needed! I had a light breakfast by choice, but the full works was certainly on offer! Excellent foody pub less than one minute's walk away. Charming, unobtrusive but very friendly, easy-going hosts - what's not to like?! Highly recommended :-)

If its shopping you're after Highcross in Leicester has all the usual retailers or you can venture to the Bullring at Birmingham which also has some great vintage shops (or so our daughters tell us!)
  • Everything in the descriptions is accurate and it is a lovely house to stay in. I didn't get around to meeting Eleanor myself but she left a lovely cake with my brother-in-law and provided prompt responses to the queries I had in the run up to our stay. Heartily recommend.

  • We stayed at the Stable House Lodge for a weekend break and couldn't have been happier with our choice. The house is spacious and comfortably slept 6 adults and two under twos. Our host provided a cot and a high chair as well as age appropriate toys and books. She couldn't have been more helpful, accepting a shopping delivery and putting away the perishables, plus when we arrived there was a lovely cake waiting for us! The house is in a secluded area but it shares grounds with a hotel so there were places to walk even in mid-January! There is also lots to see in the local area, and our host very helpfully gave us multiple suggestions for things to do with the kids. The house is easy to find, most sat nat's can get you to the entrance to the hotel and from there are very good directions from your host. I would definitely use the house again.

  • Eleanor was a lovely host and fully understanding of our needs for privacy, she added an extra service by providing a Christmas tree and a few decorations for our festive stay. The cottage met our needs and was set in a nice country setting, my girls loved waking up to see the pony and sheep outside the bedroom window. They also loved the decorated Christmas trees on the approach and in the hotel grounds. Eleanor's communication, flexibility and patience prior to our stay was very reassuring. Definitely worth a visit :)

  • The Lodge was a perfect place for our writing retreat. Me and my friends really enjoyed being there for a number of reasons. We felt that the location was ideal in terms of getting out quickly from London and suddenly been immersed into nature. The cottage is really welcoming, furnished in a very simple yet elegant way. There is a really nice atmosphere in the bedrooms, and the beds are comfortable. The views from the kitchen are just spectacular. We really enjoyed to cook together and have our meals there. The hospitality of Eleanor and Neil was excellent. When we arrived we found warm and cosy rooms, a cake was baked for us, and there were clear instructions about the cottage very handy. Eleanor and Neil were also extremely helpful and generous in providing some extra kitchen tools, tell us stories about the place and introducing us to their pets. I really recommend this place for groups who want to take a break from the city and work in a relaxing and welcoming environment. At Kilworth you can think and work in a different way because you can be focused and at the same time have pleasure. The natural environment and the way is preserved does contribute to this! You can spend hours in just looking at the old trees outside the cottage. The short distance walks around are very easy and pleasurable. And if you might find yourself to take a detour into the tree house, or walk beyond the brick wall of the former Victorian garden, you could suddenly feel like the little Alice in Wonderland. Warning. Be careful! This is a great place to stay, so great that you might not want to leave!

  • The stable house lodge was as we expected it to be and Eleanor was very easy to communicate with to arrange arrival times. Eleanor and Neil are wonderful hosts. Their hospitality and generosity surpassed all our expectations. Our children had a wonderful time roaming their property, playing in the treehouse, trying out the assault course in the woods and jumping for hours on the trampoline. The delicious cakes and barista coffee another bonus to our stay. Thank you so much for a wonderful 4 days.

  • Very quiet and private - perfect for our stop over!

  • Eleanor and Keith made us feel very welcome at their cottage. Everything was as described. Lovely place in the country!

    Roland2016-01-02T00:00:00Z
  • The Cottage and location is stunning! fantastic views, a wonderful walk round the grounds, coffee at the Hotel was also a treat! also like the fact that Black Sabbaths Guitarist once owned Kilworth house, rock and roll and history! but now a Hotel, Neil welcomed us and was very generous too! we really enjoyed our stay.

The host delivers an excellent breakfast in the morning. The Granary is a bit tricky to find so make sure you contact the host in good time for directions.

  • A*Star personable & professional host. Carolyn was amazingly generous and helpful. I attended a wedding at Stanford Hall (just up the road from the farm) and she kindly dropped me off at the church. A beautiful room with an idyllic apple orchard just outside the window, to admire in between eating a lovely breakfast and playing with their 2 energetic dogs! This is what all Air BnBs should be like. Thank you Carolyn for a great stay.

The Old Rectory is handy for anyone needing good access to M1/M6; approximately 3 miles to Jct 18 M1 south and 3 miles to Jct 1 M6 north. We are pleased to offer 3 double rooms in a beautifully well presented family home with modern comforts, tea and coffee making facilities use of separate snug. Food is avaliable in the village: The Cherry Tree serves evening meals, Manor Farm tearooms offers breakfast lunch and local produce. Please message for details of which rooms are available.
The Rectory was build in the 1700's and has a chequered past. In 1976 it was sold by the church into private hands as a family home. The house is home to our family and two cats. Please be considerate of noise levels if you're coming in late as my elderly parents are in the annexe. As you enter the house there is the breakfast area in front of you where there is the kitchen up the 2 steps with kettle, microwave and toaster. It's a well stocked kitchen area. Also downstairs is access to the snug with two 4-seater sofas plus window seat. We do have game on request plus Lego for children but there is no TV in the Snug. Upstairs to the right are the bedrooms. The shower room is at the top of the stairs and the bathroom round the corner. The Bedrooms: The Grey bedroom has a king sized bed with its own ensuite and looks out to the front of the property. The ensuite looks out over the rose garden and koi pond. It's large enough to house a camp bed. The White bedroom has a double bed and is opposite the grey bedroom, ideal if there are multiple family members sharing rooms. The White bedroom over looks the back garden and neighbouring 12th century church (St Thomas's). The room is quirky and you get a great view of the Grade II Dovecote. The Green bedroom has a king size bed and is a largest room looking out to the front of the property. The green room is ideal to put up a camp bed and has room for a travel cot. A shared Shower room with rainfall shower is at the top of the stairs. There is also a separate shared bathroom with cast iron gold rolltop bath with shower attachment. Both are available for all guests. All rooms have wifi access, TVs, tea and coffee making facilities. Towels and toiletries are provided. The bedrooms are all upstairs. Outside: The Old Rectory sits in an acre of garden. Please be aware that all the grounds are not perfectly landscaped at the moment. The front drive and garage area is as yet completed and has a gravel uneven base. The driveway can hold 7+ large cars comfortably.
Catthorpe is in a rural setting between Lutterworth (4 miles) and Rugby (4 miles). There are excellent road connections with A14 round the corner, Jct 18 M1 South and Jct 1 M6 North/South all less than 10 minute drive. Everything in Catthorpe is a short walk. We recommend the Cherry Tree in the village for food. It serves every night bar Thursday and Sunday. On Sunday's lunch available till 3pm. During the day, we recommend Manor Farm tearooms for everything you'd need to either eat or buy whether that's rare breed sausages or beer from Downridge micro brewery in the village. The farm also has an area to view some of the new rare breed animals. If Catthorpe doesn't provide what you need there are three local villages within a 2 mile walk. Look out for; The Chequers at Swinford The Head of Steam at Lilbourne The White Swan at Shawell
  • We were made to feel so welcome, Julie and her family went out of their way to cater for our needs. I wouldn't hesitate in staying here again and would highly recommend to friends and family. • The Old Rectory should be added to your stopover list. We had 4 lovely double bedrooms at our disposal in the beautifully renovated and spotlessly clean house, plenty of space for our family of 5. A wonderful breakfast was laid out for us, just wish we could have stayed longer. The pub over the road ‘Cherry Tree’ was recommended by Julie and was superb. Many thanks

  • This was probably one of the most welcoming Air bnb experiences I've ever had! Julie was so accommodating, and welcoming. The rooms are gorgeous, with everything you could possibly need, and the beds are so incredibly comfortable. Continental breakfast was laid out in the morning once we came downstairs and we met Julie's mother, who is such a charming lady who it was a pleasure to meet. The area is also lovely, we enjoyed visiting the farm animals and farm shop nearby! The upstairs provides you with lots of room, and there are plenty of bathrooms. I honestly cannot recommend it enough - if you are thinking of staying here, do it!

There's a lovely big double-ended bath which Id have liked to use but didnt have time. Great quiet location but easy access to motorways. Tea and coffee, use of kitchen facilities, great wifi, fabulous hosts and a great big ginger pussycat.

We offer clean, spacious, ground-floor rooms, excellent food and a friendly welcome. Situated in the heart of the beautiful Leicestershire countryside only 5 miles from Lutterworth, M1 J20 and Magna Park. We are also close to Bruntingthorpe Proving Ground. All food is locally sourced and breakfast is served with a smile. Our beautiful garden is available for guests to relax in and there is easy access to many country walks. We have two friendly cats.
You will have your own bedroom with a bathroom room just across the hallway. It is in a small annex to the main house so you will have total privacy. The rooms have television and tea and coffee making facilities. Breakfast is served in a separate dining room which can also be used by guests as a lounge. All rooms look onto our beautiful gardens and you are welcome to explore them. WIFI is available throughout the house.
Peatling Parva is a rural village with a beautiful old church and a pub renowned for its Sunday carvery. There are pretty walks across the nearby fields. However, it is well located for Leicester and Market Harborough and is only a few miles from the M1 and the A14. As well as its Premiership topping football team, Leicester is famous for Richard III, its vibrant market and excellent Asian restaurants. We are also near Bruntingthorpe Proving Ground and a number of match fishing pools. For scuba divers, Stoney Cove is only 8 miles away.
  • Friendly hosts, exceptionally clean room and bathroom and a lovely breakfast as well.

  • Staying at Suzanne's place was an absolute pleasure for my 2 week work -related trip, the room is comfortable, tastefully decorated and furnished, quiet, and overlooks her lovely garden. Likewise the private bathroom was well-appointed, spotlessly clean and solely for the use of the guest room. Extra toiletries were on offer if required too. Suzanne and David are welcoming, friendly, and always ready for a chat and a cuppa, (often with home-made cake) but conversely they will give you space and peace if that's what you require - I felt most welcome staying here, and can definitely say it is a real "home-from-home". It was a real antidote to staying in a soulless hotel chain, especially on an extended work trip. Plenty of off-road parking, a quaint village with numerous gentle strolls to pursue and an award-winning pub/restaurant right on the doorstep. Heartily recommended for overnight visitors, short breaks, or more long-term stays such as my own. Bravo Suzanne! Kevin.

  • Suzanne was incredibly welcoming and her home beautiful. We felt completely at home, almost as if we were staying with friends. Breakfast was fabulous and Suzanne was very attentive to allergies. The pub next door also has a wonderful menu and is well worth a visit. We left feeling like we'd had a week away (after only 2 days) and completely relaxed.

  • We really enjoyed our stay at Catherine's, she was a welcoming bubbly host and the room was exactly as described and seen in the photo's with access and garden view. The room has it's own private entrance from the house which, is nice if you want some privacy during your stay. We especially loved the Kingsize bed (better than some hotels!) and thought the continental breakfast provided was a lovely added bonus so we could relax in the mornings as well as the complimentary bottle of wine when we arrived! We'd reccommed staying here if you want a relaxing break in the countryside with peace and quiet.

    Mary2015-10-04T00:00:00Z
  • Sorry this is so late......I had a great three day stay with Catherine. She 'guided me in' by mobile phone as I turned up late on a very dark, wet and windy night. I was made very welcome - even by the dogs! The room was lovely, just as described and had everything I needed. In fact, I had to remind myself that this was someone's spare room and not a hotel. The simple breakfast set-up in the room was fantastic as I didn't have to fit in with anyone else's time scales and Catherine had gone out of her way to provide what I liked. The location was wonderfully peaceful yet, at most, a 20 minute drive from the University where I was on a course. Catherine even came in and made my bed for me! I did feel spoiled. Catherine made sure I knew she was 'on hand' if I wanted anything but, other than just making brief contact with me every day, she was very unobtrusive-which was just what I needed. The room is good value for money and I would happily book it again. I would definitely recommend others to book too. Just remember, it is not a hotel and Catherine is a working mum with a spare room - not a hotel maid! Thanks for everything, Catherine. Berni

  • This experience was above and beyond what I would have expected from an airbnb from start to finish. With excellent communication prior, the location is a very quiet and picturesque village. The house is large, modern and comfortable with comfortable bed, clean and well decorated linen, sky tv, wireless internet- the faculties were flawless - then we have the hospitality which was akin to a 5* hotel. The host greeted me at the door, helped with the cases, and even purchased an animation movie for my daughter on sky. The host offered complementary food and drink, and offered a cooked breakfast for an additional £5 per head which was well above expectations. In all this was a flawless experience, and I would. If hesitate to revisit this peaceful home again.

The house is in a quiet residential area with a couple of nice pubs nearby and not very far from the main road (if you are commuting) The cooked breakfasts were also great on a cold morning. Will definitely stay here again if I am in the area.

  • I was made really welcome. Mine was a bit of a rushed visit as I was attending a wedding nearby and was running late! Everything was comfortable, and perfectly maintained, Tom was really friendly. I would definitely stay again if in the area. Really beautiful countryside for cycling if that's your thing. A glorious gentle winding 12 mile ride from Rugby station.

  • Stayed here with old friends recently. 9/10/15 Lovely clean house, outrageously comfy reclining sofas and a beautiful garden. Oh, there's also a 6 person hot tub

  • Four of us booked out the whole B&B for new year 2015/16. The owners were great to deal with and even gave us a welcome hamper with Prosecco & goodies. The rooms were generally clean & the hot tub was fantastic! The kitchen needs a deep clean & modernising. We walked into Lutterworth for dinner one night & relaxed in the house on the others. All in all a great experience & would recommend.

We have three beautiful ensuite rooms available in our spacious family home, nestled amongst miles and miles of greenery and farms. The house is comfortable and spacious and offers exquisite views of rural middle England. Guests are welcome to explore our beautiful grounds, which are home to horses, alpacas, a pig, a cat, chickens, lambs and cows. All rooms are provided with a kettle, teas and coffees, snacks, fruit and cereals, as well as Wi-Fi, a television and hairdryer. Free Parking.
All three bedrooms are ensuite and extremely spacious, with under-floor heating. All rooms are provided with a kettle, teas and coffees, a toaster and snacks, fruit and cereals, as well as Wi-Fi, a television, hairdryer, fresh towels and toiletries. They are both keen horse riders and polo players and can arrange to take you for a ride on one of their horses upon request. They will even cook you a full English breakfast if you’d like (additional cost) ! There is a supermarket a mile away that is open until late, the impeccable Grey Goose is also in the same village and offers an array of exquisite British food in a delightful setting, with rave reviews on TripAdvisor. There are also plenty of English pubs to explore. The house is gated and extremely safe and is one in a hamlet of four others. We are on the doorstep of the beautiful market town of Lutterworth, famous for the building of the jet engine and John Wycliffe who is renouned for translating the bible from Latin to English in the 14th century. Nearby you can visit the beautiful Stanford Hall stately home and take in its exquisite grounds and drive a military tank around a WW2 bombing range at Armourgeddon. Of course, you are only a short drive from Leicester City with plenty to see and do, from the Richard III Visitor Centre to the Space Centre, Highcross Shopping Centre and the Cathedral. You can enjoy all the City has to offer from the seclusion of rural England.
The house is in Gilmorton, which is a village three miles from Lutterworth Town. It is very easily accessible, the farm is easy to find but in case guests have trouble upon arriving, they are welcome to ring one of the home owners and we will be more than happy to guide them.
  • Could not have been more welcoming friendly or helpful. Even transported back and forth to the party in Gilmorton village

  • Did not think it was good value for money

    Susan2017-03-15T00:00:00Z
  • The room was lovely, barn conversation with high ceiling and beams, so light and airy. The bed was really comfy with good pillows and duvet and decor simple but homely. Lyndon was away when we stayed but her daughter Hannah couldn't have been nicer, she took us around the farm, introduced us to the animals and even let us feed them. That made our stay all the better! For a quiet night away you couldn't ask for more, well worth the money.

  • Unbelievable interior design and detail. Peaceful country setting and one of the most comfortable properties we have ever stayed in. Hosts are extremely sophisticated and kind made us feel at home This will be a home we return to years to come
