Plaza
“The Patriarchal Cathedral of St. Mary Major or simply Lisbon Cathedral is a Roman Catholic Cathedral located. The oldest church in the city is the see of the Archdiocese of Lisbon. Since the beginning of the construction of the cathedral, in the year 1147, the building has been modified several times and survived many earthquakes. It is nowadays a mix of different architectural styles.”

Japanese Restaurant

“CUISINE: Japanese • This is my favourite local Japanese restaurant. Although they also serve sushi, my favourite dishes are the more traditional Japanese meals. Yuko Yamamoto, a Japanese based in Portugal for more than a decade, goes far beyond sushi and extends to traditional Japanese dishes made with the seasonal products. Famous are the takoyaki (fried octopus balls), the salmon zukedon (salmon marinated over sushi rice) or the ika somen (squid sashimi). Try it out! :)”

Coffee Shop

“Nicolau Lisboa Café was born in the summer of 2016 in a small corner of Lisbon where we made the dream of offering healthy and truly delicious dishes in a relaxed atmosphere a reality. We are the ones who love breakfast food at any time of the day. At Nicholas brunch was no longer just Sunday but always available. We try to renew our menu every season to have the best smoothies, salads and pancakes in town :). Our love for food is reflected in what we do.”

Snack Place

“Portuguese sandwiches highly priced for locals, but quite yummy (ok, for Lisbon standards - you have to travel around the country to find the real yummy)! I lived in this neighboorhood for more than 10y and just discovered this place on my last year living there, which means Baixa can still have some secrets. Mostly locals go to this place, since it's a bit out of the beaten track. Around 6-7 euros per sandwich. Favorite sandwiches: suckling pig (this is quite great by any PT standards!) and fried cuttlefish ("choco").”
