Lynden Holiday Rentals

Just booked in Lynden

Welcome to the Laurel Rd Guest House. Built in 1945, this very cozy remodeled cabin originally housed a family of 4. Nested within a 5 acre homestead, this charming country getaway is ideal for it's sanctuary type privacy but convenient location. The interior elements are largely hand-crafted and reflect a Craftsman Style attention to detail.
Although this Cabin is very comfortable for 2 people, it can sleep 4 as there is a Queen Air mattress in the loft. If more than two there is an additional $10 per night charge per person
Close to Downtown Bellingham, the Airport, Bellis Fair Mall - Costco, Soccer Fields and all things Rural. The Heated European Style stone floors in the entry and bathroom set the tone for the warm wood decor you will experience once in the cabin's living quarters. All handcrafted with love and an artisan's attention to detail. During the Spring and Sumer you are welcome to harvest fresh organic vegies from the large garden, and / or light up a wood fire just outside the cabin any time ( complimentary S'more Kit ) Crocket and Ping Pong are an option as well. also of note is the Chemical Free WELL WATER that we have here on the property ALSO, I have a NEW 4 Burner Barbecue with Hood for your use that can bake pizzas or grill anything
  • It was wonderful. Scott left us the sweetest note for our anniversary, and he left us some celebratory cheesecake! The property is so quiet and relaxing. It was a great way to spend some quality time with my boyfriend. Also, he is awesome at pickling! The samples he left were delicious.

  • The cabin was even better than imagined! There was a fun little loft, a cute kitchenette, and even a back yard with campfire pit and croquet. It was our wedding night, and Scott went out of the way to make it extra special. We found flowers, a card, breakfast supplies and champagne awaiting. I would recommend this place to anyone. My only regret is not having more time to get to know Scott, he seems like a wonderful person!

    Taylor2015-08-10T00:00:00Z
  • This is a very private, serene setting. Scott makes it feel like you are a treasured friend coming to stay in his cabin. The details, (we especially liked the emergency S'Mores kit!) with wonderful coffee, teas, spices, condiments, books, magazines, games, all make this feel like your own cabin. The fire ring with adirondack chairs and a wheelbarrow full of split wood is a wonderful way to spend a peaceful evening. I woke up to a fabulous sunrise and walked around the acreage, gathering blackberries for breakfast. It was quite magical!

  • My wife and I scheduled a last minute getaway to Bellingham at Scott's cabin. Despite our last minute request, he was very accommodating and easy to communicate with. The cabin was very well setup and clean with some nice touches left by Scott.

  • Cozy and warm in the winter, an excellent place to unwind and enjoy the surrounding activities and sights.

    Yi2016-12-27T00:00:00Z
  • We had a wonderful time in this cozy cabin. Scott is very thoughtful... Leaving us chocolate cheesecake our first evening and then offering fresh juice in the morning. Comfortable bed. Well equipped kitchen. Fire with s'mores... Doesn't get much better. I found the hammock and was in heaven. Highly recommend staying here.

    Mary2015-08-03T00:00:00Z
  • Great area, beautiful quiet spot a little off the beaten path. The cabin itself is a work of art and was the perfect size for us. Would certainly stay here again! Scott is very accommodating and went out of his way to make sure we were having a great time. Thanks Scott!

    Michael2015-09-08T00:00:00Z
  • This was the best airbnb stay we've had so far. Most of our stays have been great but Scott really want above and beyond to make us feel welcomed. The first house itself was perfect for what we were looking for -- great atmosphere, all the needed amenities, comfy bed, a cool loft, and a beautiful back yard to hang out and read in.

  • This is one very cute, very roomy two bedroom one bath house a mere two blocks from the quaint downtown area of Lynden, WA. The hosts are very accommodating, live right next door, and welcomed us with fresh flowers, coffee and locally produced treats. Delightful! It has off street parking, very quick wi-fi and a large flat screen HD TV. Although in an older neighborhood the house is well equipped, well furnished, very clean and the bonus is a delightful glassed-in patio just off the kitchen. Ideal for relaxing, reading or visiting with friends. Without hesitation I highly recommend this house.

  • We stayed at Steven and Kay's cottage while in town for a horse show. It was absolutely perfect! It has excellent proximity to the fairgrounds. The cottage was a quiet place to return to in the evenings with very comfortable beds and every amenity we could need. The back porch was a perfect location to enjoy our morning coffee. Steven and Kay were extremely responsive to any questions we had. We will definitely look to stay here again!

  • My wife and I stayed here on our latest trip to Lynden. She and I moved our wedding date up as my father’s health is failing and we wanted to ensure that he and my mom could attend our wedding. Steven & Kay were able to accommodate our last minute change in plans. Their home was perfect as a central location for us to take care of all the last minute wedding plans that we needed to make. The house was spotless!! So very clean!! Exactly as the pictures! Just beautiful! It captured the charm of Lynden perfectly! Steven & Kay were such wonderful hosts! They greeted us as we pulled up in front of the house and gave us a quick overview of the property. Did I mention the house was spotless? We loved Steven and Kay’s attention to detail! It made us feel at home! Everything we needed was available for us! Thank-you Steven and Kay for having a cozy home available for us and making us feel at home after the busy days of wedding planning!! If you are in the Lynden area, look no further than this property!! Thank-you again Steven and Kay!!

  • This place was lovely, but one of the beds was small and we happened to be there when it was uncharacteristically hot for WA and some of the windows don't open and there isn't air conditioning. Other than that the hosts are great and very helpul, the house was spotless and Lyden is a great little town!

    Angie2017-09-03T00:00:00Z

  • Sharon's place is an oasis of tranquility with a perfect host! By far the best air b n b experience I've ever had! The house is extremely clean, warm and welcoming, I just didn't want to leave! My room was quiet, overlooking the quiet back garden, with a wonderful bed and great sheets, a beautiful en suite bathroom and a spacious double wardrobe. Sharon provided a lovely breakfast, coffee and the banana bread was fab! This lady is just a wonderful person who puts others first and goes out of her way to make you feel at home. We chatted and I think I made a friend. I look forward to going back there! I would highly recommend Sharon as a host and her home as an excellent place to stay!

  • An AWESOME place to stay!!! This apartment is absolutely spotless!!! It is a roomy, comfortable, tastefully decorated, home-away-from-home kind of place in a quiet/safe neighborhood. Great appliances, comfy bed, super comfortable couch (I fell asleep on it twice), large bathroom, and it even has a private patio area! David & Kathleen are wonderful hosts! Great communication & check-in was a breeze. They know the area very well and gave me great ideas for places to visit and places to eat. • Lisa was an excellent host and the space is much better than the pictures can feature.

  • Leases little space was perfect for our little family getaway/work-cation. She was communicative, accommodating, and even took our daughter for a tour of the barn to meet the cows :-)

    Sadie2016-11-13T00:00:00Z
  • Lisa greeted us as soon as we arrived, welcoming us to her farm. The suite was perfectly clean and tidy, very spacious with all necessary amenities. I would have loved to spend more time on the farm it was such a nice property. Thank you Lisa!

    Sophie2016-08-01T00:00:00Z
  • Our stay at the Oostema Farmstead Inn was exceptional!!!! The bed was only one that you've dreamt about and the HUGE farm was nothing short of adorable! Lisa is amazing and even took us on a tour and is extremely accommodating!! If you are in Washington we highly recommend staying here!!

    Bobby2017-08-14T00:00:00Z
  • What a lovely weekend we had on this beautiful farm! Lisa was very kind, quick to respond and allowed us all the privacy in the world. The place itself was very spacious, homey, comfortable, inviting and all around wonderful. The bed was incredible, the bedding soft as a cloud and the sitting chairs were out of a fairy tale. The whole place was restful for the soul. The breakfast she provided was amazing, we had to stop and take a moment every time we tried something new it was all so delicious! If you're looking for a cozy, relaxing place to stay while enjoy the adorable town of Lynden this is definitely it! We will be back!

    Elise2017-09-10T00:00:00Z
  • Our stay was absolutely perfect. Lisa and her husband were waiting for us upon arrival and promptly showed us around. They were also very excited to meet our dog! :) The unit itself is amazing. It is spacious, well lit, and extremely well taken care of. There were so many special touches in every room. The master suite felt like a bedroom you'd see in a magazine, simply beautiful! The bathroom had all of the toiletries you could need along with plenty of clean towels. The hot tub was spectacular after a long day of driving, and smelt amazing! Definitely not a chemical/bromine smell like you would think of. One of my favorite touches was how much thought she put into the kitchenette area. Coffee pot, electric kettle, toaster oven, microwave, cutlery, and really I didn't see anything missing that I wish I had. And the complementary oatmeal, yogurt, juice, and coffee absolutely made my morning! I left feeling very refreshed and energized for the next leg of our trip. If you are in the area, definitely stop and stay with Lisa! She's not far from Bellingham and is in a perfect location to cross into Canada if you plan on going north. I'm very thankful we stayed here!

    Alicia2016-06-11T00:00:00Z
  • Lisa and her husband were there when we needed assistance but respected our privacy. The rooms were clean and amenities listed were provided both in the bathrooms and in the kitchen area. We enjoyed the peaceful surroundings and would probably stay with her again if we were in the area.

    Diane2016-08-20T00:00:00Z
  • What a delight to have all of the comforts of home while on a business trip out of town. Lisa's welcoming spirit was also appreciated. Thank you for all of the extras included with the price of admission!

  • Our stay at the Farmhouse Suite in the Mill Inn was ideal for our needs. The apartment was equipped for meal preparation, was nicely decorated and spotlessly clean. We could visit friends and relatives and sight see while having a place to call home and relax. The Mill Inn is centrally located on Front Street with the shops and museums within walking distance. Chelsea and her staff were friendly and helpful. It was a very positive experience for us and we hope others will consider visiting Lynden and the Mill Inn.

    Kate2016-10-29T00:00:00Z
  • We would highly recommend The Mill Inn in Lynden! The accommodations were outstanding and the warm hospitality from Chelsea and staff (especially Vanessa) makes us want to come back! We loved the mini apartment (farmhouse suite) w/kitchen/lovely decor and the specialty treats provided were also a nice touch! The restaurant/bar downstairs was also enjoyable with complimentary coupons given in our welcome card for local businesses also a big plus! (Dutch Mothers/Avenue Bread for breakfast/lunch-very good!). We also enjoyed the quaint town of Lynden and loved browsing through the shops. Also impressive were the hanging flower baskets galore!

    Lisa2017-08-06T00:00:00Z
  • The mill inn is the perfect, quaint little best. The was a beautifully lit Christmas tree in our room and fresh little Dutch goodies for us to nibble on. Because of a communication issue, we were given a free breakfast coupon, which we were really impressed with. These hosts really lee how to make us feel welcome. I will absolutely be coming back.

  • We stayed here for 30 days at a very reasonable rate while we relocated. It is even cozier than the pictures make it seem. Our hosts were very accommodating & helpful! Very cute farm property with friendly cat & dog. You will not grow tired of seeing Mt Baker in your backyard. Close to a very nice park. Awesome cute cabin.

Andy is a true gentleman and Donna is caring and compassionate. Their home is beautiful with a manicured lawn and flowers which made it extremely comfortable along with the hot tub which was a huge added bonus. I wish a had another couple days here.

The futon was comfy as well. Highlights include hummingbirds coming to their porch feeder and a chorus of birds to wake up to in the morning. Highly recommended.

Our TINY HOUSE is perfect for a unique experience or a creative alternative to a traditional hotel room. The comfortable outdoor space and views add to the peace and tranquility. This TINY HOUSE is good for couples, solo adventurers, business travelers, and families (with kids). Note: Our neighbor is in the process of building his new home. There may be some construction noise from 7:30 am to 3:00 pm weekdays. They may on occasion work Saturdays too. They will be finished by February 2018.
This TINY HOUSE is small...but oh so cute and functional! We have packed 2 full sized beds, wifi, a fully flushing toilet and a claw foot tub/shower, Smart TV, kitchenette and a table with two chairs all within 120 square feet! The covered porch adds to the space and an in-wall heater allows the cabin to be used year round. The 3 inch, full sized memory foam mattress in the loft is best suited for children who are fully proficient going up and down ladders or small adults 5'5" or smaller. The space is tight and the ladder is steep and can be tricky. Cooking in the cabin is kept to a minimum due to the lack of space and ventilation. Inside the cabin, you have access to a small microwave, refrigerator, coffee pot, electric hot water pot, and toaster. Outdoors, there is a fire pit and coal BBQ available upon request. I encourage you to bring your own outdoor camp stove and cookware if you desire more cooking options. To help the ventilation indoors, we encourage you to keep the window open, the bathroom door cracked and and the fan in the bathroom on as often as possible. We have hung a clothes line on the porch to help with drying items. If you're traveling with an infant, a portable playpen can fit next to the bed if the table and chairs are moved to the covered porch.
The cabin is tucked back into the trees, but we still need to respect our wonderful neighbors by keeping the noise to a minimum. During the warm months when the windows are open, you might hear a little road noise. Also, we have many wild birds that can make quite a ruckus in the morning. We are located at the end of a Private Lane and in respect of our neighbors, we ask that you drive 10 MPH or less down the driveway. Our neighbor is in the process of building his new home. There may be some construction noise from 7:30 am to 3:00 pm weekdays. They may on occasion work saturdays too. This is likely to last until February 2018.
  • The Tiny House is indeed TINY so keep that in mind if you need space or plan to spend a significant amount of time on the premises. It's clean, quiet, comfortable and communication with Mike was excellent. We travel to Lynden often and would stay in the Tiny House again.

    Bryan2016-11-21T00:00:00Z
  • Mike and his wonderful tiny home was one of the best AirBnB experiences my wife and I have ever had. He was great at communicating and keeping us in the loop of how to check in and get into the house (as he was away from his main house for the weekend). The tiny house was great, exactly what was described. Lynden is an awesome town and the National Park was very impressive. Great stay, an even better host :-)

    Nathan2016-08-29T00:00:00Z
  • What a beautiful little house in a peaceful location! We had a lovely stay. The house was spotless and well organized and just as described. Mike and Laura were friendly and discreet. We enjoyed the garden, chickens, orchard, and field. I don't know how they managed to squeeze a bathtub into such a tiny spot but we're so glad they did. We were traveling with two kids and it's lovely to have a bathtub.

    Laurie2016-10-23T00:00:00Z
  • Relaxing quiet location. The hosts are very friendly!

    Jeri2017-06-25T00:00:00Z
  • Loved this tiny house! It's clean comfy and cozy. Mike and Laura are great hosts. I'd book this again.

    Teresa2017-03-05T00:00:00Z
  • We fit our family of five (2 kids, 1 baby, 2 adults) into the tiny house for the weekend. It was tight but it was just what we needed for a family get away. The kids LOVED the loft bed, enjoyed watching the chickens and running around the yard. Mike greeted us upon arrival and explained how everything worked. He made it clear that they were available if we needed anything or had any further questions. There were a lot of little things that made the trip so much better such as the homemade granola (SOOO good!), coffee, book of local brochures, netflix on the TV, extra blankets, beautiful garden, etc. The tiny house was very clean and we felt comfortable and safe. Hanging out, listening to the rain hit the roof and seeing the beautiful forest out the windows was perfect. The kids didn't want to leave.

    Amber2017-10-22T00:00:00Z
  • Had a wonderful time at the Tiny Cabin. It was nice and relaxing. Exactly, what I needed to get away for a few days. from work while on the west coast. Spent one afternoon in the tiny cabin do to rain. It was a wonderful experience listening to the rain while reading.

    John F2017-09-20T00:00:00Z
  • Mike and his wife were really friendly, the tiny house that they built was gorgeous. It's worth reading a little about their story of their house building project. It was a very cozy space, nice enough for 2. The homemade granola and yogurt was a nice treat for us in the morning. Would definitely recommend!

The Piper Cub Room has a queen sized bed and has views of the hangar, our blueberry field and the Canadian Golden Ears Mountains.
Our property is surrounded by raspberry fields. There is a forest on the property with a creek running through it. It is very relaxing to go for walks down our driveway, it is 1/4 mile long through the forest along the creek. We have a small blueberry field and a large vegetable garden.
  • On my West Coast motorcycle trip, Mr. Rick and his wife Mrs. Cathie-Ann's allowed me to stay in their home via Airbnb. I have no words to express how GRATEFUL I am for their hospitality towards me. I only stayed one night but I wish to return with my family later and stay even longer. Their home is strategically designed for relaxation and you feel very welcomed there. Their yard is arranged in a way you could walk the trails both early morning and evening. Also their farm produced every type of berry you can imagine. If one of you is considering traveling through Washington, don't miss out on this opportunity. It is an unforgettable experience with natural beauty. Mr. Rick and Mrs. Cathie-Ann's are two kind, hospitable, and generous people. I'm very grateful to them for allowing me to spend a night in this piece of heaven. You won't regret staying in their home. Daniel Quintero

  • Absolutely incredible place. It is quite and secluded, but is a short drive to major stores you may need and the Canadian border. Cathie-Ann and her husband were so hospitable and gave us a tour of their property and provided us with whatever we needed when asked. They are both so kind and a joy to be around. I would highly recommend staying here!

    Paul2017-08-27T00:00:00Z
  • All I can say is that I've been so blessed to have two wonderful wonderful Airbnb experiences. Cathi Ann and Rick are two of the nicest most genuine people you'll ever meet. Their home is in a rural area not far from town but you feel like you're a Million Miles Away. I had a very comfortable bed, a very clean room, a wonderful bathroom with a clawfoot bathtub and bubble bath. I picked and ate lots of fresh blueberries. It was great for me to unwind after a long day of work. Hope to stay again very soon.

  • This was my second stay in two weeks. I can't say enough wonderful things about the home, my suite, my bed, and Cathi-Ann and Rick. This the most beautiful location, it's like being in a log house in a National Park. Love the place, hosts, cats and Charlotte the dog. Highly recommend.

Our small farm and surrounding area provides panoramic views of the American Cascades, the Canadian Cascades, and the Coastal Range of British Columbia. We are located on gently rolling agricultural land one mile from the US/Canada border, 5 miles from Lynden, and about 20 minutes from Bellingham.
This bedroom is designed for comfort, peace, and tranquility. This private room and bath are located together just off the front entry. A breakfast of farm fresh eggs, homemade bread and jam is available in the mornings. Enjoy the peaceful view of the mountains, hills, and the woods from the wrap around porch or from the bedroom window. We have an air mattress available if you are traveling with children and need extra sleeping accommodations. The room is large enough to put the air mattress on the floor in the room. See photos. We enjoy reconnecting people with regenerative agriculture and with where their food comes from. We would be happy to take you to meet the sheep, goats, cows, chickens, turkeys, and ducks if you're interested. Our garden is also available to peruse during the appropriate seasons.
We live in a rural area where other than our family, our closest neighbors are livestock and wildlife. Our Guidebook here on AirB&B lists several Lynden area restaurants, coffee shops, and fun places to visit. Our Welcome Book in the Guest Room contains brochures from many more places that you may be interested in while you are visiting.
  • We had a wonderful stay in Lynden with Wes and Lisa. The room was comfortable and well appointed with a private bathroom. Wes and Lisa are the kindest and most loving hosts and their home is a peaceful oasis which provided us with a much needed retreat. We are so grateful for their hospitality and warmth during our stay. We loved the peacefulness of their farm and Mason, the canine host!

  • Fantastic experience!!! Wes and Lisa were very friendly, welcoming, and respectful. They greeted me and my family upon our late arrival and immediately showed us to our room with private bathroom. We had a very good conversation about their farm, animals/pets (chickens, sheep, goats, a cow, a dog, and a cat), and other family members. The room was quiet and clean with plenty of amenities. We slept peacefully at night. Lisa prepared amazing frittata for our breakfast. We even pet their beautiful and energetic dog. Our stay was wonderful and I would go back anytime I was in the area.

  • I had a great stay and would return again! My room was comfortable, and I felt welcome in the home!

    Jason2016-01-15T00:00:00Z
  • This was a fantastic place to stay. Great quiet room on the ground floor of the house with private bath, just as described. It was very clean and the décor and atmosphere were very relaxing. Wes and Lisa were very friendly, hospitable and fantastic hosts. Lisa provided a yummy breakfast each day. They also assembled a wonderful notebook in the room for guests with information about themselves and also divided up in sections for restaurants and sight-seeing in the area. I was in town for a special horse event, and would definitely stay here again if I am ever in the area. By the way, don’t drive too fast in this rural area – lots of bunnies like to cross the street in front of your car!

This cozy cottage retreat sits on our small, organic farm just 20 minutes north of downtown Bellingham and 53 miles from the Mt Baker recreation area. We have trails right next door, road biking on quiet roads and up the hill from a wetlands and birders paradise.
This is a very comfy cottage retreat surrounded by gardens and artist studio. The little house is a one room studio with a new queen mattress, a twin platform mattress and a floor single mattress can be added for a third or fourth guest. All are made up with cotton sheets and warm comforters and/or quilts. The heating is super cozy and efficient with radiant ceiling panels just installed! The kitchen is fully equipped with a full size refrigerator, stove and oven. Included are servings for four guests ~ all the essentials plus coffee maker, electric tea pot, toaster, blender, hot beverage choices of coffee and tea with the basics of sugar and honey. The bathroom has a tub and shower with fresh towels and basic supplies as well as a full size washer and dryer. We have lots of books, games and puzzles for kids and adults (request for more) and lots of local resource guides.
Very quiet, green, lush countryside, lots of wildlife, adjoining horse farms on either side of our little farm and very close to incredible hiking, climbing, skiing and bicycling. Also only 20 minutes from beautiful downtown Bellingham with shopping, restaurants and entertainment.
  • The cottage was perfect - it is exactly how it looked in on the Airbnb page. Debra was kind and accommodating. She was also very responsive while coordinating our arrival time. The bed was comfy, and the hot tub was amazing after a day of skiing on Mount Baker. Debra went above and beyond to even write a little note welcoming us to the cottage, and left us Bellingham coffee grounds and fresh farm eggs in the fridge! I would definitely recommend.

    Rachel2016-02-01T00:00:00Z
  • Debra's cottage outside of Everson was a quaint retreat from the hustle and bustle. We loved the well appointed cottage. The sleeping nook was cozy and cute, the kitchen was great for preparing meals and it was nice to have a full bathroom. Debra's property was beautiful--lots of gardens to explore and her family (human and four-legged) were very friendly. We especially appreciate how accommodating she was with our pup. We are traveling around the country for the next 6-9 months and this was the perfect way to start that experience.

    Sarah2015-08-01T00:00:00Z
  • Great little cottage. It was very clean, warm, and included all amenities needed--clean towels, cooking utensils, even fresh eggs, coffee and cream. The hot tub was great and very private. I would definitely recommend staying here.

    Tanya2015-12-29T00:00:00Z
  • Great place! Debra was an awesome host, and the cottage was absolutely beautiful. Definitely would recommend!

    Harrison2017-03-05T00:00:00Z
  • A beautiful, small apartment that has everything you need, including a full kitchen and a washer/dryer. Plenty of privacy. We enjoyed our stay.

    Christy2015-08-10T00:00:00Z
  • I received a personal note, warm, receptive and kind from the host! The space was incredibly well appointed with a FULL kitchen, a super comfortable bed, and beautiful original artwork. The cottage is near the land's other dwelllings, and yet felt private, quiet, and a "world unto itself," surrounded by the beauty of the whole place with its gorgeous landscaping, gardens and overall vibrancy. This is truly a special place, and wonderfully close to more action in Bellingham, if that is desired! I could not more highly recommend this place for one or several people.

    elizabeth2015-05-19T00:00:00Z
  • We felt very welcome and at home. An extra surprise was some fresh garden goodies in our fridge!

    Maureen2016-08-22T00:00:00Z
  • What a joy to stay at Debra's peaceful and beautiful cottage! The space is adorable, sparklingly clean, and thoughtfully furnished with both necessities and luxuries. The highlight of our stay was making breakfast with eggs Debra very generously provided from her chickens, as well as vegetables we picked from her garden--what a treat!

Bellingham is also well know for its micro breweries, and we are right around the corner from a couple wineries and a distillery.
  • Candy and Steve are incredible hosts. The space is perfect: beautifully put together, from the carefully built canopy, deck and outdoor shower to the final touches like a chandelier, fridge stocked with breakfast ingredients, and comfortable bedding. We woke each morning to sunshine and a stunning view of Mount Baker, which we enjoyed over a hot cup of coffee on the deck. Everything we could have wanted or needed was right there, even fresh mint, homegrown broccoli and other garden treats! This experience was exactly what my husband and I needed for a getaway that was romantic enough for me to relax and rustic enough for him to enjoy!

    Hannah2017-07-30T00:00:00Z
  • This place truly is special, and easily my favourite Air Bnb I've seen. Candy and Steve are instantly warm and welcoming. The location is beautiful and on a clear day the views are stunning. The breakfast food provided was delicious and fresh, and the tent/bed was warm and cozy. The list goes on - the shower, the fire pit, the s'mores (provided!), the puppies (friendly!), the visiting chickens, the kitchenette. Everything was perfect. I can't recommend this site more highly.

    Luc2017-09-24T00:00:00Z
  • This place is more than a bed for a night, if your looking for a unique outdoor experience with spectacular views and even better hosts look no further! Thanks Candy & Steve for making our stay so memorable!

  • This place is nothing short of amazing. Everything is so beautiful. The attention to detail is amazing and the experience is unforgettable. I would not hesitate to recommend this to anyone.

    Brad2017-08-13T00:00:00Z
  • Staying at Steve and Candy’s place was an incredible experience! The tent had everything you could ask for and more and there was an amazing amount of attention to detail. We loved the touches of fresh flowers and fresh blueberry jam. I made blueberry mojitos with the jam and fresh mint around the tent. The view was of the mountain incredible and a bald eagle came to hang out in the tree right in front. We saw Candy a few times and she brought us flowers and carrots to give to the horse, Riley. This is a beautiful place that I can’t wait to get back to.

    Casey2017-07-16T00:00:00Z
  • Candy and her husband Steve are awesome people! They made us feel right at home! I took my girlfriend up there for a romantic birthday surprise and Candy even went and got flowers, cake, and wine for us. They showed us around the property and by the time we were leaving we really had bonded with the both of them and gave hugs as we left. I highly recommend visiting their beautiful piece of heaven!!

  • Even better than anticipated, which is saying a lot because hopes were already high! The ambience is incredible!! So lovely that we didn’t start our day until 2:00 pm. It was too hard to leave camp. The hospitality from Candy and Steve was beyond. From friendly, meaningful chats, to a shared meal and fresh goods from their farm, it was an amazing weekend. You will NOT forget this experience. The Mountain View, alpacas running wild, dove release, and outdoor shower. It was a trip to remember. Thank you Cathy and Steve!!!!! 5 Stars.

    Caroline2017-10-29T00:00:00Z
  • Candy let us show up a little late for our stay and to our surprise, they had a fire already started which made our night considering we had just driven 4 hours. Everything was perfect and the shower was totally awesome! I would highly recommend staying with them, especially if your looking for the best glamping experience. It was unforgettable!

3,800 square foot home located on 5 acres with a spectacular sunset. Peaceful setting with wide open spaces for a retreat or a family getaway. A 15 minute drive to Bellingham or head 15 minutes the opposite direction and you are at the Canadian border!
Peace and quiet mixed with wide open spaces makes our home unique and removed from the hustle and bustle of city life.
The closest neighbors are 5 acres away. Close enough to see but far enough away to each enjoy some privacy. The perfect combination we think.
  • My students and I thoroughly enjoyed our time at Jeff's property. We spent two nights and three days for a leadership retreat and really enjoyed the home and environment. The house was spotless, there were plenty of places to sleep, the huge refrigerator accommodated the massive amounts of food we needed to feed 8 students and the host had left a homemade pie for us. Very thoughtful!

    Holly2017-09-20T00:00:00Z
  • The house was beautiful and perfectly clean. A nice big yard with plenty of room for lawn games. Jeff and June are very nice and helpful.

    Dan2017-09-17T00:00:00Z
  • Super cozy (but roomy) home. We loved the quiet location but easy access to all that was needed. Great hosts - we loved that they were available for any questions. Loved our stay - will come again!

    Heide2017-09-24T00:00:00Z
  • Jeffrey's place was even better than advertised, we loved the peace and tranquillity of the property yet we were only a ten minute drive or so away from the hustle and bustle of the shops and malls. We were made to so welcome upon arriving with the lovely cheese platter, and Jeffrey and June were always available to answer any question we had. The house was immaculate and full of character. The bedrooms were very comfortable and the views wonderful from all aspects of the house. I would absolutely recommend staying at this lovely property and hope to return again in the future for a family reunion.

    Paul2017-07-30T00:00:00Z
  • We came to Bellingham for a family reunion and stayed at Jeffrey's house. It is a great house in the country side about 15 minutes from town. The place is set up for kids as we had a two year old and an infant. The property was perfect and the house was great for our family. They were great hosts, very thoughtful and we will be coming back!

    Morgan 2017-08-20T00:00:00Z
  • I can't say enough about the hosts and the location. We will be back time and time again.

    Kristi2017-10-29T00:00:00Z
  • Jeffrey and June made their beautiful home very welcoming, and even provided a cheese plate! Home was well-organized, and a beautiful location to hang out and relax.

  • We were able to rent Donita's place very last minute which was such a blessing. The place was beautiful. It was a bit difficult to find but that was my fault. There are directions that spells out how to find her place that I had missed. Apparently Airbnb doesn't recognize her proper address so it's a bit complicated. Her home is beautiful! The decor was so lovely! Unfortunately the listing did not mention that there had previously been animals in the house and I had a difficult time breathing that night we stayed. Donita said she was sorry about that and I suggested that she change her listing. She thought it was listed as animal friendly but I didn't see that mentioned anywhere on her listing. She said she was going to address the issue. It was a good price. There were lots of kitchen dishes and utensils if you plan on cooking. I would consider staying here again if it was a dog free environment.

    Kathy2017-09-19T00:00:00Z
  • Our family of four really enjoyed staying in Donita's guest house. As described super clean, well equipped, comfortable and quiet. Five starts.

  • Freba and Obaid were wonderful hosts! Our family spent all of August at their home. We were welcomed with food in the refrigerator and pantry, and had surprise farm baskets brought to our doorstep each week. The home is beautiful and spacious, with quiet surroundings. The kitchen is well equipped and wonderful to work in. They There was so much room we barely used some parts of the house. We enjoyed picking fresh cherries, apples, and pears from the several fruit trees in the garden, and wild blackberries were a delight as well. There is a large pigeon coup in the garden as well, with a beautiful array of birds. Sometimes Obaid would let them out to fly around, in which case they will fly loops around the tall trees and hedges bordering the garden. The patio has a comfortable table with an umbrella, a gas grill, and an inset hot tub. The hot tub was cleaned and ready for our use (and was a complete surprise to us!) If you get a chance to visit Bellingham, you'd do well to consider staying here. If you're as lucky as we were, Obaid will offer to babysit for you, and Freba will bring you a wonderful home-cooked meal the night before you check out.

  • Cottage was in a lovely rural area and was very clean. It was not well insulated, so the wood burning stove was a real plus, and the additional space heaters were definitely needed. I would suggest that this is a lovely place for a couple, maybe with one or two very small children. We were a family of 6 adults and the space was clearly too small for us, even though the listing indicated it could accommodate 6. We didn't mind the close proximity, however, so it depends on what one is looking for. The major drawback for us was the very small refrigerator which could not accommodate the groceries we had brought with us.

    sandra2016-12-28T00:00:00Z
  • We can't say enough! The space was lovely, relaxing, clean, with thoughtful touches! The hosts were easy going and happy to help if we needed anything. Time went too fast, we would have loved to stay longer ~

  • Comfortable and VERY cute! There is animals on the property (horses, chickens/ ducks, dogs and a cat) all add to it's charm. The kitchen has everything you need to prepare meals (pots, pans, silverware, plates, etc). We had a great time and would love to go back in the fall!

    Lila2015-07-05T00:00:00Z
  • Me and my husband loved it! Exactly what we needed. Definitely will come back in the future. Joanna was wonderful, and the horses run up to you when they see you! 100% recommended.

    Brittany 2017-05-29T00:00:00Z
  • Everything was beautiful, clean and inviting. Even the fire was all set up, all we had to do was light it! There is wifi but it only worked in the bedroom. The ponies are adorable but you're no longer able to feed them treats because they're getting too pushy. Had a great time.

    Kim2016-10-24T00:00:00Z
  • This place is a true gem, the space is so well decorated, the garden is beautifully done, the animals are so sweet, and its comfortable, spacious, and had everything we needed. If this place is avalible. BOOK IT! Wow! I hope to come back :)

Custom built duplex home on beautiful horse property, SW facing with lots of sun and beautiful skies. Large master with walk-in + ensuite. Three other spacious bedrooms upstairs and downstairs Property is gated, has security cameras, fully equipped kitchen, wood burning fireplace, and W/D. We typically do not accept dogs because of horses, other dogs and chickens on property. The rest of the property is dedicated to a horse training facility and is not accessible to the renters
You'll experience peacefulness when you enter the property. It is an extremely calm environment, with lots of different kinds of trees, and animals all around. We have two of the cutest dogs that are always playing on the property. You will have your own private area, so that they will not interfere with you, however if you choose to play with them, they will never say no! The large side yard that is attached to the airbnb has a dozen funky looking chickens (with fluffy heads) and are a hoot to watch.
We are less than 5 minutes from a large grocery stores, restaurants, gas station, liquor store and medium-sized shopping centre where you can get almost anything and surprisingly AMAZING sushi! THUNDERBIRD SHOW PARK is a 12 minute drive away! So anybody going to horse shows... this is THE place for you! You'll have the luxury of being close to your horses, while staying in a comfy house. This property is also ideal for anybody in the FILM INDUSTRY, as we are in the Langley hub of filming locations. Short and longterm rentals are available. There is a ZOO very close by, we are also straddled by Langley city and Abbotsford (15-20 minutes away). Along with that, the Abbotsford AIRPORT is 17min away. If you're looking to go to the states for some shopping, the Aldergrove BORDER Crossing is less than 10 minutes away! There are plenty of beautiful walks to be done as well. On our street there is a 10 acre public park where you almost always encounter beautiful wildlife. Aldergrove Lake Park is 5 minutes away and also has an extensive trail (URL HIDDEN) my personal favourite!

The bedroom/bath is very comfortable and airy with high ceilings and a lot of privacy, also furnished with luxe linens, towels and toiletries. During our 4-day stay, we were served amazing breakfasts each morning to the point that we were literally excited for breakfast! Since we have family nearby that we visit yearly, we would definitely stay at Hearthsong Inn again and highly recommend it to others.

  • We have stayed before, but this time, we stayed in the cottage. What a fabulous experience! we had privacy, room to move around and a kitchen that truly made the time fun. Jill & Mitch & Mom Jeanette are so welcoming and warm, and we felt right at home. We saw a beautiful eagle, some geese, and deer during our stay. It's nice to be close to Bellingham and WWU and yet far enough away to a quieter and relaxing experience. We are grateful for the time we spent.

My place is close to public transport and parks. You’ll love my place because of the light, the comfy bed, and the cosiness. My place is good for couples, solo adventurers, business travellers, and furry friends (pets). • Barbara was kind about a mix-up I made with the dates and helped us sort it out. She thoughtfully left us Christmas treats and wine. The place was comfortable and clean. We had a period of dogs barking on the other side of the wall, Barb handled it well when we got in touch about it. The dogs wouldn't usually have been in that part of the house and noticing us.

During one rainy evening, we enjoyed a comforting fire in the unique fireplace, using the firewood our hosts provided. Breakfast for our stay was provided in the bar frig and included a delicous homemade granola. The kitchen included a full sink, dishwasher and microwave but no oven or stove. We quickly discovered wonderful, local farm markets with delicous individual quiches and and other foods that could be warmed in the microwave when we preferred to eat in. (We liked Lepp's but there are many to choose from.) Comfy bed and plenty of soft towels. The Shining Rose is in a lovely country setting yet very close to the High Street Mall. The info that Joyce provided in advance made it very easy to find the place. Hope to have the opportunity to come back again some day and to stay longer!

  • An incredible find! Joyce's Shining Rose Studio is as described in the listing and more. A beautiful space in a treed rural setting, a lovely space for a retreat, escape or romantic getaway. Kitchen is totally sufficient for basic cooking needs (hotplate, microwave, dishwasher). Joyce even provided locally sourced breakfast supplies which was a lovely bonus. The private hot-tub (with robes!) is just icing on the cake.

  • A wonderful, remarkable property that I'd recommend to anyone. The space itself is spectacular, the projector set up feels like your own personal cinema and the hot tub is the luxurious icing on the cake. Joyce is a fantastic host who helped us out In various ways. We'll certainly be coming back if we're ever in this part of the world again.

  • The Shining Rose is truly shining. The property is beautiful with many extras, wood fireplace, outside built in hot tub (all seasons), swimming pool (summer) and a very comfortable bed. We had a wonderful time.

  • We had a very nice stay at Shining Rose. The place was very spacious and warm and inviting. Although it is next door to the owners home, it felt very private & peaceful. It had everything we needed and more. We will definitely come back.

Rental is *a bedroom* w/private bath and entrance off of shared deck. Deck overlooks field /woods. Access to kitchen & w/d. Wood floors, wool rug, firm queen sized bed and two sitting chairs. Private bath w/two sinks, shower. Coffee included, you are responsible for your own meals.
Surrounded by fields and woods, with covered and uncovered decks to enjoy the view. There are caged parakeets in the living / dining room. Humming birds come to feeders & flower baskets in the spring & summer. Please, no shoes in the house, and especially not on the wool carpet.
We are on a dead end street, so not a lot of traffic. Lots of wildlife (deer, birds/hummingbirds, rabbits and occasional coyoties). There is a Mexican restaurant down the street, and several restaurants, coffee shops and grocery shopping in Ferndale a few miles away.
  • Kendra was welcoming and kind. Her house is beautifully decorated and very peaceful.

  • Upscale, quiet, and clean. Out in the country, away from the town and peaceful. Spacious room, large clean private bathroom. Separate entrance from main house, but Kendra was very gracious and happy to have me come and go through the front door.

  • The kitchen and bathroom are modern, very clean; I was impressed the hostess supplied soap, shampoo, conditioner, and the use of all dishes, pots & pans. The home has woods on one side and wetlands on the other. One day eating breakfast on the deck I counted 7 small deer.

  • It was a lovely room and Kendra was a great host! Note pay more attention that I did to how to get there since it's off the (SENSITIVE CONTENTS HIDDEN) map.
