Spacious semi-detached cottage with private garden and stunning rural views across Perthshire’s open countryside. Fully furnished king-size bedroom, living room, fully-fitted modern kitchen, large shower room and ample storage facilities. Excellent for couples, solo adventurers and business travellers alike. Located close to Perth, Crieff, Gleneagles and the Trossachs National Park with excellent travel links to the Highlands, Edinburgh and Glasgow.
  • Stayed at Carsehead Cottage for 4 nights with 3 adults (my parents and me) and my 18-month-old toddler. Prior to our stay Lyn removed breakable ornaments and replaced them with a basket of toys for my son. When we arrived after 11pm she was waiting up for us with our key, and we checked in to the cottage to find a welcome basket of small food items and milk in the fridge which really helped us out for breakfast in the morning as we hadn't yet had a chance to go grocery shopping. The garden/backyard green space was beautiful and my son loved running around while my parents enjoyed their morning coffee. Close easy drive to Crieff, Perth, Madderty, Glenalmond, etc. and just enough out of the way that it is very peaceful and rural. My parents golfed at St. Andrews Links and found that drive very doable from Carsehead Cottage as well. We loved it! Lyn and her husband Steve were delightful and went out of their way to make sure that our stay was pleasant. Super friendly hosts, super comfy bed, gorgeous view, and tons of attention to detail that made this cottage feel like home away from home. Thank you so much! Highly recommended!

  • Perfect location for a quiet stay and lovely homemade feel about the cottage! Would definately recommend :)

    Christine2017-08-23T00:00:00Z
  • The cottage is very beautiful and well-located! We could enjoy a stunning view from our garden as well as use the location for great day trips. The cottage is extremely clean and well equipped. It can be seen in every single room how much passion Lyn puts into this cottage. We can highly recommend to stay here and if we come to back to that area we would try to stay there again:) Lyn, thank you for the amazing week we had :)

    Marius2017-09-01T00:00:00Z
  • We had a wonderful and relaxed stay here; perfect for a long weekend exploring Scotland! Lyn was a fab host. We had everything we needed in the cottage, which meant for a lovely weekend away! The cottage was perfect, very cosy, clean and had beautiful views! It's in a great location, which we found central to the things we wanted to do, whilst in Scotland. All in all, a wonderful stay. Thank you very much :)

    Lucie2017-06-25T00:00:00Z
  • Had the most wonderful stay at Lyn's place. It is a (very) quiet place to recharge and the hosts are amazing. Was very late on arrival cause of traffic and my navigation led me to the wrong exit, so I couldn't work with Lyn's description. Called her near to tears and she picked me up in the middle of the night and led me the right way. I found a very clean and cozy cottage, decorated with so much love, very nice mostly wooden furniture and with a box of groceries for at least two days provided by the lovely host. I would like to recommend this amazing place as high as I can, I missed nothing except to stay longer. Thank you Lyn and Steve, it was a pleasure to be your guest, and Murphy is wonderful, too <3

  • Lyn is an excellent host. Attentive yet casual in approach she gave us the tour and left us to enjoy our weekend. The house was nothing short of amazing! We have stayed in 21 Airbnb lets since we started working in Scotland and this one is the best. Beautifully decorated and warm and comfy. The attention to detail from the bread, milk, snacks, drinks in the kitchen to the little soaps shampoo's and a myriad of assorted items was second to none! The bed was a dream to sleep in, I honestly did not want to get out of bed on check out day and wished for more time at Lyn's place. Needless to say the kitchen was kitted out amazing washer/drier was pure luxury for us as the Scottish weather does not like outdoor drying!!!!!! The garden was beautiful with a few apple trees and an amazing view to the rolling countryside beyond. All in all our stay was perfection!

    Michelle2017-10-01T00:00:00Z
  • We had a very relaxing break at Lyn's place. We stayed for 3 nights and found the area very peaceful and quiet. Lyn had provided everything we could possibly need for a short break and we felt very at home. Very dark skies, so we saw lots of stars at night. The location is great for exploring the surrounding area, relatively easy to get to the Trossachs NP and Loch Tay area. We would definitely recommend a stay here, and would definitely return. Thanks a lot. Graeme and Mel.

    Graeme2017-03-05T00:00:00Z
  • We really enjoyed staying at Lyn's cottage - the place is gorgeous and provides everything you could possibly need, including a fantastic welcome hamper full of goodies. The surrounding area is really beautiful and quiet, perfect for a short get away to escape the city. Would very much recommend staying here! We will be back next time next time we venture up north.

Welcome to our Ecocabin in the rolling hills of Perthshire only just over an hour away from Edinburgh and Glasgow. With wonderful views, opportunities for cycling, skiing, walking along streams and wildlife photography (you can hire the outdoor 'Springwatch' camera for an extra charge). The cabin is very cosy, has outdoor eating and an outdoor and indoor fireplace. It is great for couples, solo adventurers, nature lovers and families (additional tents required). With composting toilet.
Our ecocabin is unique in that it is powered by solarpanels and very cosy with wood stove. You also have opportunities to learn about tea farming and renewable technology. Please be aware the cabin has no shower at present and no free wifi connection. There is 3/4G normally available on most phones. The cabin is perfect for nature and outdoor lovers and those who like to spot wildflowers and wildlife such as deer, toads and in a nearby forest red squirrels.
About 30 minutes away you can visit Scone Palace, we also have T in the Park very close by (about 2miles). A nearby forest has beautiful red squirrels.
  • Very lovely eco friendly cabin, in a very rural and peaceful Perthshire setting. We stayed only one night, but really enjoyed our stay. Communication beforehand with Monica was very good, and we were made very welcome by a friendly Andy on our arrival. The cabin itself is small, but well equipped and cosy. And the Pygmy goats were very friendly neighbours!

    Amy2017-09-16T00:00:00Z
  • Such a lovely little cabin, doesn't look like much from the outside but the inside is welcoming and cosy. The surrounding area is beautiful, very open and peaceful- definitely recommend for a quick get away from the city! The cabin was very warm and held the heat well created from the log fire. Would recommend that if your boyfriend has a Japanese import car (like mine) and very low to the ground to maybe take another car...unless you want to be shifting stones from under the bumper on the road down- in hindsight wasn't a wise idea on our part to take such a car down a country path! Will definitely be returning and recommending to friends. Also have to make a special mention to the lovely friendly goats, who were most interested in our dog (the dog completely unaware of them?!) and ourselves during our stay! Need to also mention how clean the compost toilet was- has been by far the best one we have came across on our travels!

    Laura2017-09-07T00:00:00Z
  • Very cosy little cabin - perfect for a weekend off the grid. We were very comfortable, enjoyed the fire and Monica was a very attentive host. Would definitely recommend :)

    Stefanie2017-06-11T00:00:00Z
  • We had never been glamping before so didn't know what to expect. At our age (Mid-seventies) it was a new experience. However we were made very welcome and Monica looked after us very well. It is a lovely situation and we had a very good break.

    Peter2017-08-12T00:00:00Z
  • Monica and Andy are great hosts and have created a fun 'back to nature' experience with their glamping facility. The accommodation is cosy despite being basic and it feels homely. The rural location is idyllic with lots of walks on the doorstep and it is the ideal place to unplug yourself from the grid, although the mobile reception in the area is excellent, despite being in the middle of the Perthshire countryside. On arrival there was tea, coffee, fresh milk, gas canisters, plenty of kindling and the fireplace/stove was lit along with candles which added to the experience. All in all a welcome break from the daily grind.

    Derek2016-10-18T00:00:00Z
  • Great little place to stay, cosy and welcoming. Big bonus is the wood fire -it gets cold at night- and the two goats that are always smiling!

    Daphne2017-03-24T00:00:00Z
  • lovely stay in rural countryside with a cozy indoor fire and friendly hosts, we would definitely come again!

    Carin2017-04-03T00:00:00Z
  • I had a great night staying at Monica's! The weather was great so we took the opportunity to use the BBQ and sit outside! Monica and her family are lovely and the cabin is great. The wood burning stove keeps its cosy at night too! Will definitely be back!

We have two bedrooms available separately or together, one is en suite the other has its own bathroom. We are in a peaceful rural location with stunning views. You will need car to get here.

  • We have had an amazing time at George's place. It was an awesome house, so spacious and nice, with lovely views in the midle of the countryside. It has all you need to have a fantastic time there. But the best of all was the company of George, who was extremely nice with us, chatting and taking care of everything. More than recommended stay, we hope we can come again!

Golf, fishing, castles, hills and coast nearby. We will serve you a Continental breakfast to set you up for the day! Bon appetit!
Quiet rural location. This is our home so we are on hand at all times for our guests.
  • Even though this was at the end of our trip to Scotland, this was definitely the highlight of our visit. Elisabeth and Jim were incredible hosts and we now feel we have made some very good friends whom we hope to see again one day on our side of the pond. The bedroom and en suite were very comfortable and we were provided with all kinds of little extras. The bed linen was luxurious and we slept soundly. The rural and very quiet location outside the bustling city is well worth the extra drive.

  • Lovely stay. Exactly as described. Quiet rural setting in modern house Excellent friendly hosts who went out of their way to help. Loved the local strawberries for breakfast.

  • An awesome place to stay with the perfect couple. The house is amazing and exceptionally clean. We were made to feel incredibly welcome, like it was our home. Nothing was too much trouble and breakfast was amazing. We had no plans to go back to the area but will now just so we can stay again.

    Colin2015-08-24T00:00:00Z
  • After a long flight and then a drive to Perth it was a relief to be welcomed by Elizabeth and Jim to their lovely home outside the city. The bedroom looks out on fields and we think we saw a small deer. Natural hosts, they gave us time and some very good advice on our travel in Scotland. Anyone wanting to enjoy good company in a comfortable home and has a car, I'm sure will appreciate their home. Thanks to you both. Tricia

  • Now if you are hunting for a surprise you need to stay at this property! Your host and hostess, Jim and Elisabeth went way beyond expectations in making us feel so welcome. Elisabeth's personality and Jim's quick humor and stories made us want to stay longer. Nothing like sharing a drink by an open fire and chatting with two wonderful and hopefully new friends. Thanks so much and hope to be back again someday Dale and Leah

  • This was without doubt the best AirB&B experience I have had to date. Easy to get to from Perth (20 mins) with a highly amenable taxi driver called Michael, I had a quick turnaround to get off to a wedding nearby, Elisabeth was highly accommodating to this. The room was spacious, tidy and with a great ensuite. The bed had high quality sheets and was simply heavenly. Elisabeth and Jim's hosting was exceptional, I thoroughly enjoyed talking to them over breakfast, they are both engaging and interesting. Next time I come north I will without doubt book stay again. Many thanks.

  • Very private and bright cozy room. Perfect shower. Clean, comfortable and quiet. Luci and Katie made me super welcome. We even went out for some activities together. Highly recommend this stay. Driving around is super easy. Big supermarket opens 24/7 only 2mins away by car. Perfect farm treks nearby for runners. Perth is just 10mins away by car. Check out the small but super friendly Strathearn Distillery nearby and their 1 or 3 or 5 day whisky/gin school as well. One of a lifetime experience.

  • Luci and her daughter were wonderful hosts, and the place was exactly as described (if not better!) The double room had an attached private bathroom; we were able to use the family's washer/dryer; and wifi was fast, with great signal in the room. Their home is just outside of Perth in the midst of the countryside, with farms all around (and some great farm shops as well!) All in all, a great experience.

This delightful comfortable cottage is well placed to be just off the A9 Stirling to Perth road. It would either make the perfect pitstop en route to The Highlands or to enjoy all the amazing walks and activities in the diverse county of Perthshire. It is only a few miles from the famous Gleneagles hotel and golf course and you only have to walk out the front door to be enjoying the spectacular scenery of Craig Rossie opposite and 10 minutes walk down to the River Earn.
  • Located in a rural location not too far from Auchterarder and Gleneagles, The Old Schoolhouse is a lovely old property which has lots of character. The bedrooms and bathroom are all located on the upper floor of the property, accessed by climbing a wooden staircase. The bathroom is really nice and benefits from quality fitments - there’s also a large separate shower. Gail provides a very generous breakfast and her communication is always prompt and full of detail. I will not hesitate to return and wish Gail every success with her airbnb venture.

The accommodation was perfect for our family holiday - from toddlers to great grandparents everyone enjoyed the relaxing and comfortable farmhouse. The amazing setting helps too! The farmhouse was well presented and Elaine had thought of everything that we might need for our stay. We will stay for longer next time hopefully.

The Loft gives you more than just a room to relax in - its a breath of fresh country air with only the sheep outside in the field overlooking you! We have the countryside on our doorstep, local pubs and fabulous restaurants a short drive away and are lucky to be completely central to the rest of Scotland really! • As soon as we opened the door to our hayloft, it felt warm and welcoming. Heda went ahead early to be sure there was heat for us, and the cookies with jam were the perfect snack after our long haul. It was a perfect experience and just close enough to everything we wanted to see.

  • Heda is an excellent host. She even called us at 2am as we were struggling to find the way. The cottage is fully equipped and very clean....we couldn't ask for more. Thank you for the cookies and for being so helpful on our arrival and through the rest of our holiday. We will visit some other day :)

  • What a wonderful home this is! Totally secluded, at the end of a dirt road. We stayed here for a quiet weekend, and as a home base for cycling all over the highlands. The house couldnt be lovelier!! Country wilderness feel with every imaginable modern convenience, including possibly the most powerful shower in the world. Cant wait to come back!

    Jon2017-09-01T00:00:00Z
  • The Hayloft is in a beautiful location and provides good quality, comfortable and good value accommodation within easy reach of Perth. It is worth being aware that the property is not on its own, there being holiday accommodation below and in the adjoining house, while the access road needs to be driven with care due to the potholes. The WiFi wasn't working when we were there but that was being investigated by an engineer. However, the property is an excellent base for exploring Perthshire and we very much enjoyed our stay.

    David2017-08-04T00:00:00Z
  • The location is in the lovely Glenalmond, secluded but near all amenities, Heda is wonderful as a host, this is central to the best of what Scotland has to offer!

    Breda2017-06-29T00:00:00Z
  • We really enjoyed our stay in The Hayloft. The accommodation is clean and comfortable with plenty of hot water, a fabulous shower and a beautiful garden. Heda is very helpful and easy to contact. The welcome gift of wine and tea cakes was a lovely touch. I would love to return to The Hayloft in the future, it was certainly the perfect place to relax, sleep well and enjoy the beautiful surroundings.

    Zoe2017-04-17T00:00:00Z
  • Great place. If you are into wonderful pastoral views, quiet country living and proximity to all that Perthshire has to offer this is a must stay. Caution though - the country lane up to the Hayloft can be difficult to navigate after it rains. Put it in first and you should be Ok. If you are in to driving I would recommend visiting St. Andrews, Edinburgh, Perth, Glasgow and the tiny fishing village of Anthruthers. All are just a little over an hours drive from the Hayloft We could not find the place on arrival with gps. Phoned Heda and she met us ar Methven and led us to the loft where she started a fire for us. We then opened the bottle of wine she left along with jam and biscuits and had a wonderful evening.

Very spacious cottage over two floors with lovely large, yet homely living spaces. As the property has been renovated recently, it is well insulated and very cosy, with an open wood fire to enjoy in the evenings. You will find a DVD library and holiday reads as well as toys and board games to entertain everyone. The extensive views surrounding the cottage are of beautiful fields and hills but we are closeby and on hand 24/7, should you require any assistance. For guests staying a week or more we offer a private tour of Monzie Castle and our own 1950's Hydro Electric power station. For guests staying for shorter periods, we will do our best to accommodate a tour, subject to availability (we work full time and have a baby) and appreciate your flexibility and understanding! Enjoy the truly spectacular views from all windows which have inspired many artists, or sit outside in the pretty, enclosed cottage garden and soak up the fresh country air. Walks straight from the door. Close to Crieff and tourist attractions.
Fresh air, spectacular views from all angles. Long days in the summer, often only a few hours of complete darkness. Cosy nights and clear days in the winter. A winter wonderland in the snow.
  • This house is by far our best stay on our recent trip to the UK and surpasses most hotels I have stayed in throughout my travels. We are an older family with Pensioner aged parents and three adult kids travelling through my parents old haunts in the UK. Alex was so flexible and understanding about our late arrival which alleviated a significant amount of stress on our trip. We found this place so great that we delayed our departure and stayed for an extra day. I would highly recommend it.

  • We really enjoyed our stay in this comfortable, well furnished house and the local ambience; local people were without exception very pleasant towards us as visitors. Alexandra and David were very helpful and pleasant too - we particularly appreciated the home made jams and cakes, especially the gooseberry jam. The Lochearnhead Highland gathering and Famous Grouse tour were added delights! Particularly enjoyed the tour of Monzie Castle it was a better one than that at Palace of Scoon, in Perth, done earlier that day!

  • We really enjoyed our stay at Glowry Cottage! The view over the fields and hills was fantastic, and we loved having coffee and drinks out in the private garden. It's very quiet, so sleeping with the windows open was wonderful. The house itself is comfortable and well-equipped for dining in or having a movie night. Wifi is fast, and there were plenty of books and movies to browse through. Alexandra and David were wonderful hosts, making sure we had what we needed. We also really enjoyed the castle tour- such a beautiful estate!

  • Beautiful house in such a gorgeous location! Very clean and well equipped. Alexandra was very friendly and helpful! Thank you for a wonderful Stay!

  • What a lovely well equipped and comfortable holiday home! We had a very warm reception which included homemade brownies and lemon curd. The cottage suited our purposes perfectly and had beautiful views across the countryside. It was a great base for Loch Lomond exploring with lots to do nearby. We'd highly recommend staying here!

  • Great weekend in a lovely, beautifully situated cottage. Despite our plans changing at the last minute and only two of us managing to go it was a great weekend, loved the cottage and would highly recommend to anyone looking to enjoy Perthshire. Well located to relax and chill out or to be active and enjoy the walking and other activities in the area

    Ruth2017-06-04T00:00:00Z
  • Alexandra was on holiday herself when we arrived but her friend Nana was on hand to help us on arrival and made the whole process run very smoothly, despite us only having booked two days in advance! Lovely property, very cosy and comfortable and in a beautiful part of the country. Would definitely recommend for anyone looking for a countryside retreat.

    Lucy2016-09-17T00:00:00Z
  • Lovely, clean and well equipped house - would be perfect for families or groups of friends. Not far from Crieff (although I'd definitely recommend having a car to get around) or Perth a little further away. Great views from the top of the hill (about a 30min walk) across to the Trossachs. Good communication throughout. Recommended if you want a straightforward holiday let in the countryside.

Includes 1800cm double bed, bath, separate shower, tennis court and horse livery available.
The exceptional situation of this cottage with balcony and decking over the river, makes it perfect for retreats with only the sound of the bubbling river to lull you to sleep. Within it's own fenced off area it is quiet and peaceful. It has the appearance of a typical New England clapperboard house. There are extensive views across fields to the hills beyond. Stylishly decorated with slate and wooden floors including underfloor heating and a fireplace with plenty of logs supplied. It is full of interesting paintings, prints and books. Our farm is situated on the banks of the River Earn and Strathearn is renowned for it's spectacular scenery. Crieff is the bustling local town with numerous coffee shops and beautiful McCrosty Park. The oldest lending library in Scotland Innerpeffray Library is only a mile along the road. The Famous Grouse experience is only 2 miles a way and Drummond castle and it's stunning gardens are only a 1 mile outside of Crieff. There are many golf courses within a short distance including Gleneagles, Muthill, Comrie and St Fillans. (St Andrews is just under an hour and a half away) There are some excellent restaurants in the area including Andrew Fairlie at Gleneagles, The Barley Bree in Muthill, Yanns in Crieff. Also The Lounge and Delvinnos and the excellent farm shop/cafe at Gloagburn is about 20mins away along the valley. Approx 40mins away along the Earn side road and past the banks of Lochearn you will find Mhor 84 which is a fantastic all day cafe/restaurant serving food all day with homemade cakes/bread etc. We are particularly keen on food and cooking and would love to give any advice on best places to eat/buy food etc. Crieff also has one of the best Fish Shops in Scotland 'Fish in Crieff' selling hake/turbot/razor clams/mussels/crab/tuna etc. We are also lucky that the fantastic new Crieff Food Hall has recently opened in the High Street selling top quality ingredients, delicious home made recipes to take home and heat up and also a coffee shop downstairs.
  • Georgina's place is exactly as described. The best place we've stayed on airbnb, very high spec throughout and some very thoughtful touches. If it it's free click and book you won't regret it. Our experience was the same as all the other reviews. Georgina's place is exceptional for a dog friendly airbnb!

  • Cottage is amazing, everything you could want and more. Can't fault anything, the weather was even amazing! Hope to be back in the future.

  • Fabulous stay! Loved every minute! Georgina made us feel very welcom

    Emma2016-08-31T00:00:00Z
  • Can hardly imagine a better location for a couple's weekend getaway. The house is even better than the photos make it seem, and is incredibly well-stocked with everything you'd need. We went in deepest darkest January, and had a fantastic time lying on the veranda under the stars, wrapped in blankets, listening to the stream that was yards away. Really idyllic location, particularly if you're lucky enough to get a bright morning to wake up to. Great place, great hosts. We were talking about when we'd be able to come back over breakfast after our first night there; hopefully that says it all.

    Andrew2017-01-15T00:00:00Z
  • Gorgeous little cottage close to Crieff, set in beautiful countryside with stunning views. I can't say enough good things about this place, the decked area looking out over the river is to die for and this place feels like someone's home and not just a holiday let. The enclosed garden is ideal for keeping in dogs and there are lots of great walk within a 7 min drive if the cottage (The Knock, Lady Mary's Walk). Loved the bath. Will definitely be back!

    Vicki2017-08-27T00:00:00Z
  • Absolutely stunning cottage and hugely relaxing stay. Very much hope to return one day.

    Daniel2017-08-25T00:00:00Z
  • We had a great stay at Riverside Cottage. The cottage is very well laid out and excellently equipped - it is spacious has a great atmosphere. Georgina made us feel very welcome and we really appreciated the little extras......some local food in the fridge, fresh flowers and a bottle of prosecco. As it was mid-September we had a mix of weather - a couple of sunny afternoons on the deck, and a couple of wet evenings by the fire. The cottage has everything you need regardless of weather. Highly recommend!

    JAYNE2017-09-21T00:00:00Z
  • Georgina was very welcoming on arrival and made us feel at home right away. She gave us a quick tour of the cottage (which was equipped with everything we needed) and let us settle in. We were immediately impressed with the interior and surrounding area; the adjacent field with horses is very picturesque. Georgina also left us fresh bread, milk and eggs. She kept in touch throughout our stay to ensure that we were comfortable. We would definitely recommend this cottage to anyone looking to escape the city and explore the wonderful countryside of Crieff and surrounding areas.

*Festive bookings 20th-27th Dec, 27th Dec-3rd Jan* Stunning views of across the glens and close to a salmon leap by a quiet country road. Good for access to walks, family-friendly activities (eg Crieff Hydro), sporting days, and the Abercairny events venue. You’ll love the cosy bedrooms (up to 8 adults 2 children in 1 double/ 3 twin/ 1 bunk room) and large, warm kitchen/ living room - once a classroom! Our place is good for couples seeking spacious seclusion, families with kids, and groups.
  • Buchanty School House is a beautiful accommodation in the heart of Strathearn. It is in an isolated tranquil location an easy 15 minute drive away from Crieff. The property itself has been well maintained, is very clean, tastefully decorated, kitchen fully stocked with utensils and other kitchenware, secure large drive way with excess parking close by and the beds are comfortable. The School House gym hall conversion to a lounge kitchen open plan is stunning and goes beyond expectations based on the pictures here on AirBnB. I would highly recommend this place to anyone planning a group/couples/family holiday in Scotland.

  • Perfect location for some beautiful walks and runs. Close to Crieff for good meals but I'd have happily never left the house. It was perfect really. Great size living room with a nice fireplace and a lively kitchen. Bedrooms were all a good size. I really can't fault it. Had a great stay and would not hesitate to recommend it.

  • The Schoolhouse is large, well equipped and was very comfortable for our party of 7. It's in a very peaceful location but not far from Crieff which has everything you could need including a good little deli. The big living space was perfect for socialising, especially with a little one who we were able to keep an eye on. Anna looked after us thoughtfully, providing an extra heater and equipment for the little one. A great stay - thank you.

A beautiful, thoughtfully converted Post House dating back to 1802. This perfectly located, four star rated property in the small village of Gilmerton (central Scotland), offers guests a comfortable, relaxing, home from home in Bonnie Scotland.
A beautiful property, with everything a guest will need for an enjoyable and comfortable holiday. Isle Of Murray is perfectly located in Perthshire, Central Scotland, which is situated an hours drive from both Edinburgh and Glasgow. The property is also only a forty minute drive from the popular Cities of Stirling and Dundee which offer great shops and activities for all interests and ages. Aside from being close to the hussle and bussle of Scotlands' fine cities, the immediate area around Isle of Murray offers a quiet taster of village life. Surrounded by beautiful countryside and small quaint towns and villages, Isle of Murray allows our holiday makers the best of both worlds.
The area offers many country walks, mountain biking, fishing, clay pigeon shooting, quad biking, swimming, ice-skating and much much more. On the socialising side there are plenty of restaurants and takeaways in the local town crieff (1.5miles) which is a 20min paved walk or is a 5mins bus journey, many also deliver. There are also many village pubs in Crieff, whether you would like a quiet drink or a party night out. Perth (18miles) which is a 25min bus journey away offers various nightclubs and bars etc for a big night out!!
  • Our host Bryan is a super guy who indicated good places to go and to shop. Always gave prompt replies during our stay. The surrounding areas was clean fresh tranquil cosy and lovely. Bryan keeps his cottage perfect and tidy, by himself. Going to Tesco extra is convenient.

  • Isle of Murray was a great place to stay while my husband and I were house hunting in the area. Crieff is a quick drive down the road and offers great restaurants and shopping. Stop by The Crieff Food Co. on High Street to stock up on delicious deli meats and cheeses, as well as produce. There are even easy hiking trails right next to the house that will take you to Crieff if you prefer to walk. Bryan was a great host and provided tons of information on things to do during our free time. The wi-fi was great and everything that you could want was provided in the home. We will definitely recommend Isle of Murray to friends and family that come to visit.

  • We had a great stay at The Distillery with our toddler son. Janet was a great host - very welcoming and helpful, and the welcome gifts of fresh eggs, shortbread and delicious cake were a lovely touch! The cottage itself is very luxurious and modern, but still very comfortable, and only a few minutes in the car, or a short walk to the town centre, where we had some nice meals. All in all, a great stay and we'll hopefully book again soon! Highly recommended!

  • Magnificent location with a knowledgeable and attentive host. Set within wonderful scenic views, wildlife, and the estate animals. Best unit erupted view was found just up the track. We stayed 15 nights and would have stayed longer. Loved the cultural insights from a real local every thing from where to eat to local Genealogy. The locality is secluded and up a track but our little car had no problems. We easily got out to Perthshire tourist trails, Very near to Tesco, Perth for cheap petrol as recommended by our host. I forgot something and this was supplied by our host. We got as far as Oban and St Andrews.

  • We had a lovely time at The Bothy. The flat is warm, welcoming, clean and very well equipped. It also has beautiful views! Perfect location to be a base for scenic hillwalking, but also exploring nearby towns like Aberfeldy, Crieff and Pitlochrie. My husband and I weren't expecting The Bothy to be next door to a large house that's also available to rent, which meant it didn't feel as secluded as we had imagined. But we still had a great weekend, and would definitely recommend it.

  • Spacious accommodation generally but single bedroom very small. Well equipped but maybe needs a bit of updating.

  • Heda was a good responsive host. We had a bit of a hard time finding the place, but she came out and led us to it and let us in.

Our farm is situated on the banks of the River Earn and Strathearn is renowned for it's spectacular scenery. Crieff is the bustling local town with numerous coffee shops and beautiful McCrosty Park. The oldest lending library in Scotland, Innerpeffray Library is only a mile along the road. Also The Lounge and Delvinnos and the popular farm shop/cafe at Gloagburn is about 20mins away along the valley. We are also very lucky to have the new Crieff Food Hall which has recently opened in the High Street selling top quality local food in a beautifully refurbished building. They also have a great coffee shop attached which looks out onto he square. Crieff also has one of the best Fish Shops in Scotland 'Fish in Crieff' selling hake/turbot/razor clams/mussels/crab/tuna etc
  • Georgina's property is immaculately decorated and in a beautiful location. The local jams and fresh bread, along with basic amenities like milk and butter were very much appreciated. There were plenty of scenic dog friendly walks in the surrounding area and our whole stay was wonderfully relaxing.

  • The Lodge was just perfect for us (four adults+ one child) and we were so comfortable! We honestly wish we had been able to stay longer, but now are anxious to come back--we couldn't have asked for a better "home base" to explore Crieff, Perth and the Pitlochry Highland Games. Georgina was so thoughtful to have stocked the fridge for us, it was nice to have a quick breakfast before heading out each morning. This was hands down the most beautiful and thoughtfully designed Air B&B accommodations any of us had experienced! Thanks again for your warm Scotland hospitality!

  • Absolutely lovely cottage! Spotlessly clean, recently renovated to such a high standard, really well equipped and fabulous decor. Had a fantastic two night relaxing stay in Georgina's comfortable cottage, lovely little private garden that catches the sun all day. Georgina gave us a warm welcome and left a number of delicious goodies for us to enjoy, including local yoghurt, honey and chutney. So warm and cosy, would make a fab winter getaway too. Can't recommend enough, thanks Georgina!

Our latest addition to our accommodation offering at the Monzie Estate is a step up in luxury with 5* hotel beds and furnishings. This stunning gatehouse has been tastefully renovated in 2017 and is in the middle of our picturesque 4,000 acre estate. A perfect base to explore the highlands and cities of Scotland (Edinburgh and Glasgow one hour drive, Stirling 40 minutes, Highlands, 5 minutes). Search our profile to see our continuous 5* reviews.
Downstairs the octagonal living room leads onto a dining room with kitchen, and a shower room. There are two staircases, one an original stone spiral, and upstairs one bedroom has a king size, and the other a zip-link bed (twin or super-king). Let us know if you would like for them to be together or separate and we will prepare them in whichever way you wish. These rooms are joined by a Jack and Jill bathroom, which has an Edwardian slipper bath! There is an extensive garden on the other side of the arch, bounded by two streams, with outdoor furniture. There is an oil fired boiler in the cottage which provides central heating and hot water. We supply tea and coffee, herbs and spices, salt and pepper, olive oil and a few other emergency supplies. We also supply dishwasher and washing tablets, washing up liquid, hand soap in all bathrooms and White Company toiletries (shampoo, shower gel and body lotion). There is bike storage if you require it, in the shed behind the gatehouse. The cottage accommodates four people with two bedrooms upstairs. The cottage may not be suitable for those with mobility issues or small children. All bed linen and towels are provided. The spacious sitting room is warm and comfortable with an open fire and a supply of logs. The fully fitted kitchen and dining area is bright and spacious with everything you will need – an electric cooker, kettle, toaster, fridge-freezer and dishwasher and washing machine. Wifi is provided and there is a phone for emergency use, just in case you don't get mobile reception.
The cottage is located four miles from the town of Crieff, which has some fabulous independent shops and restaurants. We are an hour from the cities of Glasgow and Edinburgh, 40 minutes from Stirling castle, 10 minutes from Drummond Castle Gardens and five minutes before you are in the Highlands. You can see the stunning mountain ranges from your garden. Many of our guests recover from jet lag in the cottage and take walks in the beautiful surroundings of Monzie. Staying in our cottages you are lucky enough to have 4,000 acres at your fingertips to explore and enjoy. You will find ancient standing stones, stone circles, follies and an abundance of wildlife within walking distance and enough to do to entertain a week's stay without leaving if you wish to!
  • Our best Airbnb experience ever! Alexandra and David have put together an absolutely amazing experience with this property. Check in was a breeze. Alexandra sent us a welcome email with everything we needed to know to find the place (don't use GPS!) She met us at the unit and gave us a thorough walk-through. She even left a bottle of wine and some delicious brownies. She is also incredibly responsive with any questions you might have. About the cottage. While the building itself is quite old, it has been completely remodeled. It has a perfect, modern kitchen. All the utensils and cookware you could need. They even leave some basic foods in the cabinets in case you arrive late and hungry. Both bathrooms are beautiful with a shower downstairs and huge tub in the upstairs. Both bedrooms have a king size bed with really nice sheets and a ridiculously comfy duvet. Also a wood burning fireplace in the living room. Perfect for a romantic night in. Couldn't have asked for a nicer house. And it was SPOTLESS! The house was amazing, but the location is what really sets it apart. For starters you're staying on a working estate. There are hundreds of sheep right outside your windows. Some mornings you'll even see the shepherd out with his dogs rounding them up. So cool. Not to mention some of the most beautiful views you could imagine. We didn't even want to leave the property as you walk all over the place. It's also centrally located for exploring. We made day trips to Stirling (about 30 minutes) and St Andrews (1 1/2 hours). Our only regret is that we didn't book a longer stay. But we will definitely be returning!

  • Enchanting! It felt like living in my own little castle, especially walking up and down the spiral stone staircase. A beautiful property in a gorgeous location, this property was clean and well-equipped for our relaxing getaway. The beds were very comfortable, perfect for reading at night and for sleeping in. Bathrooms were immaculate and the bathtub upstairs was extra luxurious. The kitchen had everything we needed for cooking our own meals, and we enjoyed looking out at the pasture and the hills while we ate. Nightime was dark and quiet- no streetlights or traffic to speak of. The location was central for visiting nearby towns- Crieff (5-10 minutes), Stirling (30 mins), and St. Andrews (1.5 hours.) 30 minutes to the west is Loch Lomond and the Trossachs National Park. We were fortunate to be blessed with beautiful weather, so we went for a walk out into the field to see the ancient stone circle. The garden on the other side of the driveway is a nice, private place to sit in the grass and enjoy the trees. All in all, we loved it, and can't wait to come back!
