Holiday Rentals in Marshwood

Just booked in Marshwood

Small and cosy country getaway complete with wood burner and garden that opens on to fields and forest with the opportunity for endless walks yet close enough to the surrounding beaches and restaurants.
THE COTTAGE: The cottage has a sitting room with wood burner & dry stack of wood, a walk-through dining area with door to the garden and a well equipped kitchen. On the first floor there are 2 bedrooms, one with a king size bed the other with 2 singles all made up with fresh bed linen and towels. The bathroom has a bath with shower. Outside is a sweet garden that includes a sun trap with garden table and chairs. The back of the garden takes you straight into nature and numerous walks. THE AREA: Just under 10 miles from the Jurassic coastline and Lyme Regis, the cottage is a true haven where you can trade city life for the tranquility of country life. Thorncombe is a popular village complete with charming shop, church and a school with keys available for use of their small swimming pool in the summer months. Nearby towns such as Beaminster and Bridport have much to offer whether sampling the local brew or just pottering through the Art and Vintage Quarter. Take in a movie at Bridport's wonderfully renovated arts cinema or a wood fire pizza on the beach at West Bay. Maybe go to River Cottage Canteen and Deli in Axminster. There are excellent restaurants and gastro pubs to recommend in every direction and after walking off lunch you can put your feet up by the log fire with a good read. If summer days are calling there's lots to do with the kids, exploring beaches and hunting for fossils on the world famous Jurassic coastline or a trip out fishing for mackerel from Lyme's picturesque harbour. For fun closer to home, the village has a playground just 3 minutes from the cottage complete with football field and basket ball hoop - it is in the process of getting a make-over. A short walk away there's a forest, great for making dens or getting lost amongst the bluebells. For further indulgence try a cream tea in the village shop. If you're planning on enrolling on one of Hugh Fearnley Whittingstall's many courses at River Cottage HQ and need a couple of night's accommodation we are just 7 miles away. Or one of Guy Mallinson's Green Wood Craft Workshops set in a mystical location in the woods just 2 miles up the road. Or right here in Thorncombe, Hannah Lovegrove's exquisite Yoga studio where you can become a more zen being whilst drinking in the view. SUMMARY: A holiday to remember no matter your age, with one of the most beautiful swathes of countryside on your door step recognized as an Area of Natural Outstanding Beauty bordering Somerset, Devon & Dorset. A car to explore is really an essential unless you are content to explore on foot; the village shop is stocked well for all groceries and local produce and has a deli counter. There are a number of farm shops further afield. Depending on the kind of break you are looking for, there are many great walks and days out to recommend with some excellent restaurants to match. Don't forget your walking boots! PLEASE NOTE: • No Smoking Indoors. • Please check pricing during peak holidays such as half terms / summer holidays as it attracts a higher rate than generally publicised. • If inquiring about availability please advise size of group. • Finally - although the cottage is in Dorset and pays its taxes to W Dorset, it has the peculiarity of having a Somerset address!
A very popular village immersed in stunning countryside within easy reach of the beaches.
  • As first time users of AirB&B this was a very easy experience, straight forward and dealing with Caz was a pleasure...very happy with everything, great location to explore the whole area with a great pub 4 miles away & a wonderful local shop with great coffee...highly recommend!!! Just book and relax....!

  • Our host, Caz, left a lovely welcome gift for us on our arrival. Everything was as described in the overview, and she was very helpful when explaining the intricacies of the cottage and area. We had a wonderful stay. The cottage was very clean, the décor pleasant and the house furnished with anything you could need. The village itself is picturesque and quiet, and it was easy enough to get to the main coastal resorts in the area. The community village shop is well stocked for any stay in the cottage, with the staff particularly friendly and helpful.

  • We had a great stay at Caz's cottage over Easter. The house is really welcoming and feels homely, it is even nicer than in the pictures! It has all goods and facilities you need, including a full equiped kitchen. We were able to spend evenings by the fireplace after exploring the beautiful local area... Because of the cold weather we couldn't make any use of the garden, but it'll be great for Summer bbqs! Caz was an amazing host, always there for us if we had any problems, before, after and during our stay! We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and definititely thinking on coming back and already recomming it to friends! Thanks for all Caz!! Nuria

  • What a gem of a place. If you want to be close to the coast but away from the town this is a perfect ovation. Pretty little village with local shop, lovkey play ground and even a pool ! The cottage was charming, beautifully presented and very clean. Caz was a great host. We didn't meet but we didn't need to and she was always helpful and very quick to respond. We would stay here again.

  • Such a pretty cottage and really cosy. The village is quiet and friendly and the shop is indeed a great resource. We had a lovely Easter weekend with our two teenagers, who especially enjoyed their visit to the beach at 'Broadchurch'! Many thanks Caz and we would definitely love to come back to this beautiful part of Dorset.

  • Caz was an extremely gracious host who went out of her way to make our stay extremely comfortable - even helping to recommend a local GP when one of our kids was sick. The cottage is adorable, very well appointed, and wonderfully comfortable. The village of Thorncombe is friendly, beautiful and quiet, with many walking possibilities across the countryside. The local community playground was well equipped for our two kids aged 2 and 4. You must visit the local community store staffed by friendly volunteers to pick up any groceries or other needs during your stay. Our children spent a lot of time inside the home and in the back garden as they felt so comfortable there (a highlight was the fireplace!). We ate our summer meals both inside the dining room and outside in the colourful garden. We visited the local church and graveyard on many occasions with our kids. If you get a chance to stay here, we would highly recommend it.

  • Wonderful place to stay Caz was great and easy to get hold of and communicate with. Would highly recommend

  • Caz's place is wonderful. We had great time hanging out at her place and it is shame we couldn't have stayed there longer. Highly recommended.

Oaktree cottage is set on the edge of a National Trust ancient hill fort with fantastic views over the vale of Marshwood. Newly renovated but retaining all it's original charm, the cottage is perfect for both families and small groups with three double bedrooms, new kitchen, reception with large open fire, conservatory with large dining table and lovely garden. An area ideal for walking, biking and the beach - the Jurassic Coast is within 4 miles and the popular, local pub a 10 minute walk away.
The cottage, on the edge of Marshwood village, has been recently renovated with a newly fitted kitchen and adjoining conservatory in which to eat with a large dining table. There is a snug with TV - ideal for children - a cosy living room with a large, open fire and a balcony leading to a lush garden. The stairs to the bedrooms are steep and wooden with two handrails either side. There is only one bathroom which is located on the ground floor with a shower. There are three double bedrooms where one is accessed through another with the middle bedroom leading to the end room. Bedroom 1 has a double bed, bedroom 2 (middle room leading to bedroom 3) has a Kingsize 'zip' bed that can be either a kingsize or made into two single beds and bedroom 3 has a kingsize bed. Please tell us how you would like the beds arranged in the middle room and we will have them made up ready for your arrival. The cottage has many original features - including the rather low ceilings! Please be particularly careful when entering the middle bedroom at the top of the stairs and when coming down the stairs.
West Dorset is an area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, and the cottage is surrounded by wonderful, ancient countryside. There is a friendly, country pub 10 minutes walk away, across open fields, serving award winning beers. There are a number of lovely historic towns a short drive away, including Lyme Regis and Bridport, with good restaurants (Hix in Lyme Regis, River Cottage Canteen and Deli in Axminster, and the Riverside Restaurant in West Bay to name a few) and other acclaimed new restaurants opening all the time.
  • We booked this gorgeous cottage as a group of 7. 3 couples and my little girl. Check in was really easy and Lulu made finding the cottage easy with additional info as well as the address. It is tucked away in a quiet country road with absolutely no noise apart from the odd car and the sheep outside. Amenities were supplied including washing up liquid, washing machine tabs, toilet roll, cleaning products and lots of other bits to make us feel at home. The views are stunning and beautiful to wake up to. The cottage is well presented and comfortable with 3 bedrooms. Two of which are joined. This was not a problem for our stay, and I managed to fit a travel cot in the furthest room. Cottage was clean, kitchen was clean and stocked with cooking utensils. We managed to put a few meals together with no issues. Beds were comfortable and clean, and a seperate area from the living room was perfect for reading. The little balcony was lovely to sit out on in the morning with a cup of tea. The local pub (the bottle inn) is a quirky pub with lots of original features and a welcoming landlord. Everything else is in driving distance so make sure you take supplies as shops are a good few miles away. We managed to squeeze 3 cars onto the drive which worked out well. We would definitely book again.

  • Fantastic place, we had a lovely weekend.

    Jo2017-05-14T00:00:00Z
  • This was a lovely relaxing break - exactly what we wanted. Lovely scenery and lovely walks. Great shops and restaurants in Axminster. We ordered a take-away Indian meal via one of the "Just Eat" apps , they delivered for a small fee, took a while for them to find the cottage, but nice takeaway in the end. Would definitely recommend for a quiet relaxing break but quite remote if you're looking for things to do in the evening. However, having said that their is a pub nearby, which looked nice from the outside but was shut for refurbishment so I cannot comment on it. Lulu was a brilliant host and the cottage was very homely, even down to the spare wellies:) Thank you

  • Such a beautiful cottage in an absolutely stunning location, the host could not have been more helpful, we loved it x

  • Amazing views, photographs don't do this cottage and surrounding area justice. If you're an early bird it's worth getting up to see the dawn across the valley. Cottage cosy, comfortable and very clean.

  • We all really enjoyed our stay. It was perfect for a quiet get together, very comfortable, sympathetically decorated throughout and also very well equipped. We were met by Wendy who sorted everything out for us. We were a bit worried it would be cold where an old cottage but we had a lovely log fire and the central heating soon warmed it through very well. A beautiful view and lovely position to explore the area around. Many thanks for having us

    Linda2016-10-09T00:00:00Z
  • We loved our stay - our young kids ran freely in the garden looking out to the horses in the nearby field. The balcony is a wonderful spot to read or admire the amazing view. Cosy up at nighttime in front of the fire and breakfast in the light filled conservatory. We loved the vintage furnishings and well equipped kitchen. Theres a nice walk close by plus some great beaches like Charmouth a short drive away. Really hope to come back again

  • A beautiful hand built shepherds hut totally secluded and in the most gorgeous setting. It's perfect to get away from it all and just relax. Take your wellies, a good book, gas stove and bacon for your breakfast, everything else is there. I spent Sunday morning sat by the fire with a cuppa reading and looking out at the fantastic views whilst hubby caught up on some much needed sleep in one of the cosiest beds we've ever slept in. If you need to get away then you need to stay at Lydia's Shepherds Hut, it's the best.

  • Wow! What a gem. We loved our stay here and had a wonderful experience. Very beautiful and relaxing place and the Hut it's self is great. Beautifully decorated and cosy and the bed is to die for it was so comfy we didn't want to leave. Thanks lydia untill next time .

  • Amazing little place , very relaxing , well organised, scenic and quiet. Will definitely be returning In the future

    Sam2017-10-15T00:00:00Z
  • Lydia was a great communicator and even though we rather messed her about with our arrival times, she was very accommodating and helpful. Borrowed wellies made my experience perfect. It was luxury to have absolutely no noise and the peace, quiet and privacy of her location for the hut. Lydia has gone to so much trouble has put so much thought into her 'retreat'. Thank you Lydia.

    Rhoda2017-08-10T00:00:00Z
  • I had such a lovely stay here - Gorgeous hut, stunning views, and great hosting by Lydia and Dan! The location offers true tranquillity and the hut is just super cosy. It even comes with a luxury hot shower! (and the loo got one of the best views ever seen from a toilet!). There is also a pub within walking distance, which is well worth a field trek if you fancy a local pint or two. Lydia was hugely helpful with a pick-up/drop-off from/to the train station on arrival and departure, and provided ample supplies of water and electricity to top up my writing tool (aka laptop). I went here for some isolated time to write, and while it was a great spot for that, I would recommend anyone who is just looking for a break from life in the fast line to pay this hut a visit!

    Linnéa2017-09-02T00:00:00Z
  • What a lovely place to stay. We were greeted by Lydia and she was a lovely host. She walked us across the field to the lovely little shepherd's hut. Inside the place was beautiful and cosy. The stove was fun to make a cup of coffee. We enjoyed having a bbq outside and lit up a nice fire too. When the outside lights came on, the hut looked even prettier. The bed was comfy and the quilt was lovely. The eco loo was fun too. We really enjoyed our stay from the location to the hut itself. Lydia was a great host and I'd recommend this place to anyone

    Clint2017-06-26T00:00:00Z
  • Beautiful, quiet and very private place. We had a nice barbecue dinner next to a fire pit admiring the sunset. I can recommend this place for a romantic getaway for two. Our host Lydia was very welcoming and after a short introduction, she left us to enjoy our stay in complete privacy. Thank you for having us at your beautiful Shepherds hut Lydia, we had a great time!

    Jakub2017-09-10T00:00:00Z
  • AMAZING! I can't say enough good things about this Airbnb. It is such a unique and beautiful place to stay, all I can say is you must go! The shepherd's hut is in a very secluded spot on Lydia's farm and has breathtaking views of the English countryside. It is a great place to get back to nature and, for us, escape the city. The hut is equipped with all you need for your stay and the bed is so comfortable, you stay very cosy and warm, even in the rain. It's a lovely touch to have the BBQ and fire pit which we used and had a great evening around the fire, looking at the stars. The location is great for exploring the Jurassic coast and there's plenty to do and see around the area. Lydia and Daniel were so welcoming and friendly and they have done an amazing job putting so much hard work into building the shepherds hut themselves. My pieces of advice would be to take wellies and don't take a suitcase as it's a walk over fields to get to your own private spot in the countryside. Thanks again for having us and we'd love to return soon!

Artist"s quirky, old-style bungalow overlooking the Marshwood Vale A.N.O.B and only a short stroll from the Bottle Inn, famous for the Nettle-Eating competition and real Ales. A fine base for walkers/cyclists ,only 6 miles from the Jurassic coast and close to the Wessex Ridgeway path and the highest hill in Dorset, Pilsdon Pen. Bridport and Lyme Regis are only 7 miles away. The house has a bohemian charm and from the garden you can see across the western edge of the vale to Pilsdon Pen.
There is plenty of room to relax inside and out. There is a large kitchen for cooking and eating, with a Rayburn which is ideal for huge roast dinners, and an induction hob too . There is central heating throughout the house, and a cosy wood-burning stove in the living room. If you like to be creative during your stay, there are two studio spaces that you are welcome to use. There is room in the outside shed for bicycles, but you can bring them into the house for safe-keeping if you prefer.
  • The cottage is quirky and bohemian, packed with interesting things, and with a gorgeously rampant garden. The location is convenient for exploring the Jurassic coastline. Shopping is a trip in the car for anything but basic, but Fenella left a generous selection of goods for us. I would say it wouldn't be to your taste if you are a minimalist, but we loved it, and it was certainly incredible value for money.

    Alison2017-06-26T00:00:00Z
  • We all had a very relaxing time at Fenellas house, it was quirky, cosy and comfortable, all we could have wished for. Fenellas helpful approach and generosity was very welcome and appreciated by us all. The location is great for country rambles and easy access by car to the coast. Funny dogs and good beer at the local pub too!

    Nicky2016-12-30T00:00:00Z
  • We adored our little family getaway to Fenella's rural retreat. The house is much more spacious than appears in the pictures. We travelled with our 2yo daughter and were able to set up her cot in Fenella's studio allowing us a bedroom to ourselves - a luxury on a get away. Fenella's cottage was filled with interesting pieces creating a 'treasure trove' of curiosities for our little one. Both Fenella and her lovely cat made us all feel very welcome, with Fenella stocking up on bread, tea, biscuits and milk for our arrival - the perfect host.

    Corinne2016-10-19T00:00:00Z
  • We had a relaxing and rejuvenating stay in Fenella's wonderfully fun colourful and comfortable home. We appreciated her laid back approach to check in and check out times and were thrilled with the biscuits, bread, milk etc that met us upon arrival. We also loved the little suntrap garden and Minx the cat.

    Sam2017-04-10T00:00:00Z
  • Fenella's house is an out-of-the-way gem, crammed with artistic found objects and home to an adorable cat. It's in a quiet secluded area, with great walking nearby, and an easy drive to the Jurassic coast.

    David2017-06-06T00:00:00Z
  • If you are ever looking for a quiet, cosy place to stay in West Dorset, Fenella's place ticks all the boxes.

    Angus2017-05-07T00:00:00Z
  • It was a delight to stay in Fenella's house, with beautiful little Minx the cat. Her house is so interesting and the garden stunning. I was lucky enough to spend some time at Fenella's pottery studio, making pottery and this was one of the highlights of my trip. Fenella is warm, generous and easy-going and I had a lovely time staying in her house.

    Ali2017-06-18T00:00:00Z
  • Fenella was extremely welcoming and made sure we arrived safely, understood the functioning of the cottage, and had access to all the information we needed for the stay. Her home is filled with interesting books on diverse subjects and beautiful artifacts. It was very warm and the cat is an absolute sweetheart! We really enjoyed our stay.

  • Great location and living space. Lovely garden and table tennis. Beautiful friendly cat. Unfortunately there is no curtain in the small bedroom and no way to hang something so this can't really be used for a child but hopefully this will be rectified. We really enjoyed our stay

    Susannah2017-08-18T00:00:00Z
  • This place will stay in our memories. As its different with a lovely cat wellcoming us with lots of artistic impressions you get. the kids loved jumping the trampolin and I have never seen a stucco worked sheep head in a bathroom. recomended for easy people.

  • Lovely cottage in a beautiful, peaceful setting. Great for families - and close to the brilliant fossil beaches at Lyme and Charmouth. We had a fab holiday - even in Winter - loved the massive wood burning stove and big garden - and the ping pong! Kids were well entertained and Moby is a great host.

    Jay2017-02-17T00:00:00Z
  • Moby's home was exactly that - a home. It felt warm, cosy, and full of character, and we immediately felt like the house took us in and welcomed us! The fire was gorgeous and kept the place toasty, and Moby had kindly supplied more than enough wood-choppings to keep it going all weekend. With sceninc walks at your doorstep, but also a massive living room to have dinner and some drinks around the wood burner stove, it is both a place to relax and have a great getaway with a group of friends. I would highly recommend the place! Kitchen was well equipped, everything was nice and clean, and Moby was helpful and available by being a quick text away. Would definitely re-visit!

    Andrea2017-02-19T00:00:00Z
  • We stayed at Moby's place for a post Christmas break. The house was lovely and spacious with plenty of wood for the fire. We had a great relaxing time

    Daniel2016-12-30T00:00:00Z
  • Quirky little cottage with tons of character. The fire place is lovely and brings about a calm and charming atmosphere. The host was quick to respond and was very helpful with advice and tips. My only bone to pick is that it is not 7 beds but 6. The 7th bed is not a bed but a mattress in a tiny space and since we were 3 couples, my 68 year old mom had to sleep on the couch on her birthday :/ , which she didn't mind because of the fireplace. But the description of the beds could have been more accurate.

    £84 Courshay Cottage

Our simple cottage and beautiful garden are located just below an Iron Age hill fort, with stunning views over the Marshwood Vale. The cottage, 4 miles from coast, is very light, spacious & comfortable, w/ central heating, 2 wood-stoves & a lovely eat-in kitchen.
The Cottage, on edge of Marshwood village, includes a kitchen with a large range, living room, small library and beautiful 2 acre garden, with external dining table, summer house, garden furniture and tree house. The stairs to the bedrooms are narrow and a little awkward and lack a handrail. There is a loo and shower on the ground floor and loo and bath on the bedroom floor. There are four bedrooms: two with king size beds, one with two single beds, one with a single bed and trundle bed (when opened there is no room to walk!). The single bedrooms are very small!
West Dorset is an area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, and the cottage is surrounded by wonderful, ancient countryside. The Bottle Inn - a country pub - 10 minutes walk away, across open fields. It does great beer, but is pretty run down. There are a number of lovely historic towns a short drive away, including Lyme Regis and Bridport, with good restaurants (Hix in Lyme Regis, River Cottage Canteen and Deli in Axminster, and the Riverside Restaurant in West Bay to name a few) and other attractions. More Details below Food, shopping and eating out Village shops and pubs Marshwood has a post-office and village shop. The village shop is open on Saturday morning and on Sunday from 10-12 (or was). But it only does absolute basics – bread, milk, eggs, papers, tins, etc. We like the New Inn pub at Stoke Abbot – good food and atmosphere. There are lovely walks you can do up to Lewesdon Hill, near by – another Iron Age hill fort, though this one covered in trees. Another nice close pub is the Shaves Cross Inn at Shaves Cross – see directions for Bridport. But it has been closed a lot recently. The nearest shops are at Axminster. Take the B1365 from the cottage towards Lyme Regis. Turn right at sign marked ‘Sector’ and continue straight on. This will take you directly to Axminster and is faster than going via the A35 unless you hit a tractor (the road is narrow). Axminster has a butcher (Complete Meats) and fishmonger (MacSorsons), a Tesco, Co-op and smaller food shops, etc, including Hugh Fearnley-Whittingstall’s The River Cottage Canteen and Deli, which is both a food shop and restaurant. There is a good, large farm shop (Miller’s) – more a supermarket – on the A35 beyond Axminster, which also has a good fishmonger. It is on the right, just past a petrol station, about 7 mins drive from the station. Lyme Regis is a lovely town, with a good, sheltered and sandy town beach. It does not have a large supermarket but the high street has a smaller Tesco and Co-op and some delicatessens. It also has a very nice fish shop down by the Cob. The Town Mill, near the Mill Bakery, has a very good cheese shop – The Town Mill Cheese shop and a good restaurant and cafe. Finally, Mark Hix has a new restaurant in Lyme Regis with good food and great views. There are some excellent second-hand bookshops. The Philpot Museum, once directed by John Fowles, is good for a visit on a rainy day. There is a local amateur dramatics theatre that sometimes has good shows for kids and a lovely old independent cinema. Near the beach there is a penny arcade and above the beach crazy golf and outdoor table tennis. You used to be able to walk from the cottage to Charmouth and then along the coast to Lyme, but the coastal path is now closed – though you can walk along the shore at low tide. Charmouth is the closest seaside town to the house – it’s 3-4 miles drive by back-lanes (via Wooton Fitzpaine) and you can walk across country to it in about 1,5 hrs, though it’s a longer, steeper walk back. It has shops, cafes, ok pubs and a good butcher but nowhere good to eat. Bridport is another lovely historic town. You can head towards Lyme Regis and then take the A35 East to Bridport. But it is much nicer and a little quicker to take the road from the cottage towards Marshwood, and turn right just after the primary school, pass the church, down Mutton’s Lane. Drive straight through Shaves Cross and Broadoak. You will eventually get to a T-junction. Turn right on the B1362 and you are a few minutes from Bridport. Bridport has a good butcher, Framptons, right under the clock tower and other local shops. It also has supermarkets, including a Waitrose. Palmers, a micro Brewery, has very good wine list as well as beer. Bridport has a market on Wednesday and Saturday morning, which has bric a brac and antiques, not food. We have heard very good things about a new Asian restaurant, Dorshi, specializing in dumplings. West Bay is essentially the port extension of Bridport, with all the trappings of a seaside town: amusement arcades, shops selling rock, etc. It has a lovely seafood restaurant, the Riverside Restaurant and a good beach café with wood burning pizza ovens, etc which his open during the summer. It is also meant to have a good fishmonger. Abbotsbury Swannery, Sub-Tropical Garden and Children’s Farm This is a really good day out for kids if you want something to do. Abbotsbury is about 45 minutes from the house but the three attractions together definitely provide a full day’s entertainment. If you check the Abbotsbury Swannery website it will give you opening times and special events. Crewkerne, another old market town, is about 20 mins from us, has a Waitrose and other shops as well as a very beautiful church. Beaches Lyme has a good, child friendly town beach. Charmouth has a huge beach. It also has some shops and cafes. The Fossil centre on the beach has organised fossil hunts, etc. Finally, Eype, between Charmouth and West-bay is another good beach, though the narrow lane leading to it can get really jammed with cars in the summer and you should feel confident about reversing long distances before you venture down it. Further away, beyond Westbay, Hive is another good beach with an upmarket beach café/restaurant, The Hive Café, serving seafood etc, But it does get crowded during the summer. Walks There are lots of lovely walks from the cottage, including walks to the coast. Pilsden Pen – 10 minutes away by car – has amazing views. The nearest stately home is Forde Abbey – also 10 minutes away. It has gardens, café and plant nursery. Right above us is Lamberts Castle, you can climb up either through the fields which you enter through the first gate across the road and to the left or up the footpath through the woods which you find if you walk down the lane to the right of the house. It’s ten minutes to the top and has amazing views. Walking to Charmouth is a great walk, which should take about 1.5 hours though it's a steep walk back. For the best coast walks, park at Stonebarrow Hill, to the East of Charmouth (National Trust car park with small shop). There are lots of options – longer and shorter. You can access the beach at one point, down some perilously steep wooden steps. If you make it up to Golden Cap, the highest point on the South Coast, you will be rewarded with great views.
  • We had a wonderful weekend stay in Ben's delightful cottage. It really is a beautiful cottage with all the amenities you could hope for (including a zip wire in the garden - which the children enjoyed to the full) and all decorated in style. The view really is something special, even on a rainy day. Thank you Ben for a lovely weekend.

  • Views to die for, quiet area and beautiful and well equipped cottage. We’ve been there only 4 nights but after coming back home we already want to go back.

    Greg2017-07-14T00:00:00Z
  • What a fantastic cottage. The most gorgeous view and a lovely place to stay.

    Katie2017-10-01T00:00:00Z
  • Ben was fantastic, extremely helpful and clear instructions. The house itself is really wonderful, incredible views and amenities. Cosy and an absolute delight to stay in. Would highly recommend and would love to come back.

  • We had an incredible time in Ben's beautiful cottage. The house is wonderfully kitted out and furnished, with cosy lounges and a lovely kitchen, and wood burning stoves to add to the atmosphere. We only stayed two nights but wish we could have stayed longer. The location is also stunning - a mere fifteen minutes from lovely Lyme Regis - and the view from the house is worth the money alone, with the extensive grounds gazing out across the Dorset countryside. It would be amiss not to mention Ben himself - great communications from day 1, and went out of his way to help with the booking. Thanks for letting us stay in your truly special second home!

  • What a gem! The house is incredible and in such a beautiful position. It was brilliant for the children and we loved every minute. We would love to come back !

  • Great location Amazing view Well equipped and spacious property - perfect for a family getaway We'll definitely be back in the summer to make the most of the garden!

  • A beautiful house with the most breathtaking, extensive view of the Dorset countryside below. The house is incredibly well equipped and furnished to a high standard including very comfy beds and quality bedding. Everything you could possibly need and some nice touches such as bread, butter, milk provided etc when we arrived. The location is great for exploring the Dorset/Devon Coast. We did the 7 mile coast path walk from Seatown to Lyme Regis which offered spectacular views. Returned to Seatown in the evening for dinner at The Anchor Inn which I'd highly recommend. Specialises in fresh fish. Beware it's small and you can't book but definitely worth the wait for a table. This house is a real find and I'd love to make a return visit.

Camping made easier. Bell tents all ready for you just to walk into, dump your bags and pour yourself a cold drink after your journey. Located on a small-holding in West Dorset, 2 miles from Charmouth and surrounded by hills and woods, there's loads to do in the area or just relax by your tent with a good book. In the evenings light the camp-fire, enjoy local cider and sausages and look at the stars. Children and dogs welcome.
This is a tiny camp-site with just 6 tents. There are 2 x 4m wide tents suitable for 4 people comfortably or up to 6 at a squash. And there are 4 x 3m wide ones for 2 people or up to 3 at a squash. THIS LISTING IS FOR ONE OF THE 4M WIDE ONES. The tent comes with 4 futon mattresses. You do need to bring your own bedding, towels etc. The site looks down, over fields, to the sea - a wonderful view (- much better than in the pictures which don't really capture the fullness of it). There's a hot shower/wet room in a reclaimed beach hut which is shared by all the campers, and a washing up area. This is a small farm currently with sheep and lambs, a small young apple orchard and a vegetable area. its such a beautiful spot it feels right to share it. There is produce for sale on site - our award winning apple juice, cider made by a friend, sausages from our own pigs, elderflower cordial, elderflower champagne, sheep skins, and firewood - the perfect recipe for lying back and chilling out.
Attractions nearby:- Fossil hunting on the famous Jurassic coast. Or just enjoying being at any of the many beaches along this stretch of coast. Eating well at local cafes and restaurants. Visiting Lyme Regis - especially during the Carnival and Regatta weeks. Walking or cycling through or around the area- footpaths, trails and cycle routes are plentiful around here. Browsing the vintage markets at Bridport. and West Bay. And the view from the field is quite something too. At night sit by the fire while watching the moon rise up over the sea, when there is moon, or look at all the stars - big sky and no light pollution (apart from the moon of course!)
  • Mary was very helpful when I was trying to find somewhere to stay in the area, as we'd never been and I was planning a surprise for my husband's birthday. The location was amazing, so quiet and peaceful! The sheep in the field were very sweet to watch. It was so dark at night, with no light pollution, which was fantastic! We enjoyed sitting out and soaking up the stillness each night! It was my husband, our 8 year old daughter and myself, and the tent was big enough for the 2 days we stayed. I think if we'd stayed longer we may have struggled with storage space for clothes and food etc, but I'm sure a gazebo or such would solve that. The tent was great, very comfy and protected (despite the horrendous weather on Sunday!). I'm fairly sure that with the wind and rain from the hurricane, we would have been soaked in any other tent, but everything was bone dry inside the bell tent - most impressive. The shower was also amazing, such great water pressure, clean, lovely and warm. I would recommend bringing nice warm sleeping bags, because it is quite chilly at night in the field. I'd also recommend that you arrive for the first time in daylight to set up and get acquainted with the area.

    Kerry2017-08-21T00:00:00Z
  • Mary's field is idyllic, the tents lovely. The shower in the beach hut is fantastic, lovely hot water and plenty of room especially if you have children. The view is outstanding and the stars are amazing. Mary's field is peaceful and quiet away from it all. Mary is on hand makes sure that everything is in order and that you're happy, communication was brilliant. My boys loved it....I loved it and made some fantastic memories. Thank you Mary for letting us share your field and view.

    Carrie2017-08-27T00:00:00Z
  • Fantastic stay at Mary's beautiful bell tent. Everything was wonderful about the stay; from Mary's super kind and helpful communication before we arrived, the super clean and characterful bell tent (complete with wild flowers), campsite facilities (including a superb shower room) and a perfect location overlooking the lovely countryside and sea. Could not have been better - thoroughly recommended! David

    David2017-08-06T00:00:00Z
  • Had a brilliant stay in Mary's field. Tent was lovely. Bit snug for 3 but fine if you all get on well. :) Amazing view (especially of the stars at night!). Loved the composting loo and shower in a beach hut. Only a 30 minute walk to the coast and then the whole beautiful coast path is yours. Would definitely recommend. Thanks Mary!

  • Laura is such a wonderful, thoughtful host. The house is absolutely beautiful, the pictures do not do it justice. The wood burner keeps the whole house really cosy. Kitchen is well equipped and lovely. The bed is so comfy and we slept so well in the peaceful countryside. We did a lovely 10 mile circular walk from the cottage and another along the coast. A perfect get away from it all weekend. We came back totally relaxed!

  • A real home from home with all that you need for a wonderfully charming and cosy getaway. Simply lovely. A great host and a great home.

  • The cottage was beautiful in a lovely quiet area surrounded by stunning countryside. The welcome pack was very detailed and the welcome bottle of red wine went down a treat! The cottage was very cosy with lots of lovely walks on the doorstep which our little sausage dog Simon loved. I would definitely book again!!

    Tim2015-09-11T00:00:00Z
  • Laura's cottage is in a beautiful part of Dorset: nicely isolated and quiet but within a short drive to the coast. There are loads of lovely walks in the area which our dog loved, and the cottage itself is beautiful. Laura was a pleasure to deal with. I'd highly recommend staying here.

    david2017-08-31T00:00:00Z
  • We have just had a wonderful 4 night stay in Laura's charming thatched cottage. We felt so welcome the moment we walked through the door and saw the card and welcome treats. The hamlet is so peaceful all you can hear are the guinea foul, chickens and ducks. The surrounding countryside is beautiful for walking. The kitchen is fully equiped with everything you need and we loved sitting at the little enamel table on the window seat looking out the window. The massive wood burner and inglenook fire place made it the perfect winter retreat. Upstairs the bedroom and ensuit bathroom are stunning. So tastefully furnished with exposed beams. As other people have said you don't appreciate just how special this cottage is from the photo's it really feels like a home not a holiday let. Thank you Laura for a special holiday and an excellent first experience using Airbnb.

  • The cottage is absolutely beautiful, the photos do not do it justice! Lovely little secluded location. The walks around the area are really lovely and lots of variety - woodland, farmland, coastal walks. Lovely pubs a short drive away too. Slept incredibly in the pitch black and silence. Very spacious bedroom and bathroom, clean and tidy, great wood burning stove, we thoroughly enjoyed every minute of our stay. Laura was a great host - she was available by phone and email and gave us all of the information we needed. Anyone over 6 foot should be aware that the ceilings are low. My husband and I would highly recommend to anyone!

    Neema2015-05-27T00:00:00Z
  • Cosy cottage ideal to explore local attractions. Only 15 minutes by car to the sea and beautiful Lyme Regis. Laura was a very hospitable and caring host. We highly recommend the place to country lovers and hope to come back one day!

    Katarzyna2015-08-14T00:00:00Z
  • The cottage is exactly as you would hope for, (but never expect your hopes to be realised). Set in a sleepy hamlet, with geese and guniea fowl roaming the green, the cottage is ideal for those wanting some "down" time. The facilities in the cottage were modern and everything you might need was included. The kitchen was particularly well-equipped. The overall location is wonderful, being within 20 minutes or so of Lyme Regis, Bridport or Axminster, but also away from the busy parts of Dorset. We can particularly recommend the New Inn at Hawkchurch offers really good (but not Cordon Bleu, nor GB prices!), and the landlord is particularly welcoming. So, a lovely place, and we will be returning there and we can recommend it to everyone!

  • Synderford Lodge was a fantastic place to stay: comfortable, beautiful, peaceful, well located to explore Dorset, and excellent amenities. The kitchen is great to cook in, the conservatory/ dining room a lovely place to eat as a family, and the gardens, summer house, pond and trees a delight to sit and play in. Washing machine, dishwasher were great and the wifi worked well. Rebecca v quick to respond when we were booking, and popped by to check everything was OK once we were there. Thank you Rebecca for having such a great family friendly bolthole on airbnb - we'll be back!

    Jonathan2016-08-03T00:00:00Z
  • Firstly just to say that Rebecca our host was fantastic. She made us feel more than welcome and provided us with what we needed. She even provided a list of the things we should see, walk and restaurants to go to - most of which we did. The area is very peaceful, reasonably remote and away from all the noise, a chance to get back to the wildlife. The West Dorset location is ideal to take trips into Dorset, Summerset and Devon. The cottage was excellent and fitted the description perfectly, we felt it really was fully equipped with everything we needed. Simply lovely, thanks A

  • Synderford Lodge is a charming, cosy country cottage. Our family of four with two young children thoroughly enjoyed our four night stay and would definitely go again. A real home from home feel, with a boutique chic hotel look. The lounge very cosy in the evening, the conservatory the perfect environment for a romantic candle lit dinner, extremely comfortable beds, & our children loved the garden using the summer house for their teddy bear tea parties! The location couldn't be better, surrounded by beautiful countryside, completely peaceful, and a great base for exploring the area. Rebecca the owner was the perfect host, we felt relaxed in the knowledge that if we needed anything at all to just let her know, and at the same time we felt we had complete privacy throughout our stay. We would recommend to all.

    Peter2015-09-05T00:00:00Z
  • Rebecca was the perfect host. Despite being out of the country herself and impeded by a hurricane she was still in contact with as much information as we needed. Once we arrived Rebecca paid us a visit to check everything was okay which was greatly appreciated. The cottage itself is fantastic and in a great condition. Based on the listing it is exactly what we were expecting and the area is lovely. Extremely peaceful and great for an escape.

    Stuart2016-10-16T00:00:00Z
  • Synderford Lodge was exactly what it promised to be, a peaceful house, beautifully decorated, and in a very pretty and tranquil setting. Rebecca the host was very helpful and had thought of all the little things we might need. She was very accommodating in advance of our stay (particularly understanding when we had a problem with our timings) and during our time there made sure everything was okay, even leaving washing-up liquid on our doorstep as she knew the house had been running low before we arrived. We would happily return to Synderford Lodge again, and hope to do so in the near future.

"A delightful base for your holiday, set in glorious countryside close to unspoilt beaches." The Lodge offers excellent accommodation and facilities in a tranquil rural setting, surrounded by Dorset’s loveliest countryside, and only 5 miles from the unspoilt beaches and golden sandstone cliffs of the coastline. Approached along a private drive and set well back from the road, the cottage is perfectly positioned for enjoying this delightful corner of Dorset.
The Lodge is a Colonial-style three bedroom, three bathroom single storey detached cottage. The bedrooms offer Heals beds with the finest Egyptian 400tc cotton; the master bedroom a super king and two further bedrooms king size. Two bathrooms are en-suite and one is a family bathroom. The conservatory enjoys views over the garden and rural countryside and the generous veranda has a table for al fresco dining. There is table tennis in the utility room and a games room is available in the manor courtyard offering table football, pool, table tennis and a DVD lending collection. There are a variety of beautiful beaches, both sand and pebble, within a five to ten mile radius, including those at Lyme Regis, Charmouth, Seatown, Eype, West Bay and Burton Bradstock. Fossil-rich cliffs define this dramatic stretch of coastline, which encompasses the 2,000-acre National Trust estate of Golden Cap. This is a designated Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty and superb walking country, both on the rolling chalk hills overlooking fertile inland valleys and on the coastal footpaths offering spectacular clifftop views. It is also an area full of romance and history, with three ancient hill forts and the house and gardens of Forde Abbey all nearby. A range of attractions is on offer in nearby country towns. Lyme Regis is a pretty seaside resort, its elegant colour-washed buildings and promenade lining a handsome harbour. Motor boats can be hired and there are fishing trips, a sailing school and a windsurfing school. Bridport is a thriving market town, featured on TV’s River Cottage, the Port Bredy of Hardy’s novels, offering a good choice of shops, inns, restaurants, an arts centre and a sports centre with indoor pool. The coastline is excellent for sea fishing and inland waters offer good coarse fishing. Golfers will find courses at Lyme Regis and West Bay and there is also horse riding nearby within 5 miles. Caterers are available locally. The local shop at Marshwood and two charming thatched country pubs are within a short drive. Shops 2 miles.
In the glorious West Country sits the stunning county of Dorset. Its coastline is the world famous Jurassic Coast; a Natural World Heritage site with beautiful beaches, ancient cliffs and craggy caves all providing an excellent stomping ground for holidaymakers. The area is perfect for those looking for activity, with a huge choice for fishing, swimming, walking, riding, kayaking, caving, cycling and more. It is perfect too, for those in search of rural idylls, spectacular scenery, cosy country pubs and some of the best food in the U.K. The County of Dorset resonates with the romance of Thomas Hardy, Jane Austin and Daphne du Maurrier all of whom used it as a backdrop in their works. Dorset enjoys some of the best weather in the U.K. as the West Country bathes in the gentle warmth of the Gulf Stream. It has green, rolling hills, romantic country lanes and a starkly beautiful coastline. The Vale of Marshwood is a very unique and special place still farmed in much the same way, with its ancient small fields, as it was during the Iron Age. The Vale’s remoteness brings a level of peaceful tranquility that is hard to find in England today and, with it, some excellent star-gazing on clear nights.
  • Wow! So stylish. The beds are huge and comfortable and the en-suite facilities are luxurious. We saw deer while out walking in the fields near to Marshwood. The night sky is full of stars, so remember to look up. The property is tucked away and accessed by single track lanes with abundant passing places. It took about 20 minutes to get to Bridport. An ideal hideaway for a short countryside break.

  • Julian and Romla are excellent hosts and we really enjoyed our stay at Marshwood Manor. The Manor Lodge is tastefully decorated and very well equipped with all mod cons (Range cooker, Nespresso coffee machine, american fridge freezer, flatscreen TV, bluray-player etc.) and with a beautiful large (fenced) garden in a peaceful location. The super kingsize bed in the master bedroom was comfortable and the ensuite has a freestanding bath. The weather was mixed during our stay - so unfortunately we did not make much use of the big outdoor seating area, but the lodge has a fantastic conservatory, a covered veranda and table tennis in a garage – which were a lovely bonus for rainy days. Would happily rent this property again in the future ;-)

  • This place is a little gem! From the moment I booked with Hilary it was an extremely pleasant and hassle free experience. The barn is BEAUTIFUL. The whole ethos behind it is marvellous and it's in a lovely location. I cannot recommend Hilary and her lovely barn more highly! You are welcomed in, shown the ropes and then left to it. You really feel like you're in the middle of nowhere, away from the bustle of life. We were there on a very windy night and felt ever so safe within those warm and cosy walls. The Bottle Inn pub is a real winner too, they made us and our dog feel very welcome. So all round a cracking night away. Go book it now!

  • What a lovely week we had at Little Becklands:-) Hilary was a lovely, friendly, authentic host and made us feel most welcome. The accommodation was beautifully rustic with creative, personal touches that resulted in a wonderful experience. Communication was prompt and the generous offer of a pick up from Axminster station was much appreciated. We would definitely recommend Little Becklands and wished we could have stayed longer. Thank you Hilary.

  • A lovely place located in the quiet country lanes. the house is set on a small farm with chickens providing you eggs for the morning. Hilary cooks you a nice fresh loaf of bread which made the kitchen smell great. the interior of the flat is perfect and it feels very homely and chilled out with everything inside (even the house itself) is either handmade from the farm or organic. highly recommended!

  • Becklands farm turned out to be a delightful stay for Erica and I, it's nice and secluded but within easy reach of the A35 and access to the rest of the Jurassic Coast. The barn itself bowled Erica over and for our first Airbnb experience we feel set the bar high. The barn is warm and cosy and if not for the places nearby to see we'd have happily stayed put most of the time there. Hilary is a fantastic host and went above and beyond when my car got stuck in the mud off the main track helping push the car to a safer perch and calling around in case any neighbours could help out. Finally a word on the local pub, the mains were decent hearty fare and the pub was welcoming and friendly, there's fine dining in the region should you want it and the kitchen in the barn is there should you wish to make your own creations, but we felt a wander through a nice village followed by decent food and a pint was pretty much perfect.

  • The farm is an incredible setting in amidst the Dorset hills. The house is great and really cosy. Hilary made us feel very at home, and was a great host. We loved it, thank you!

  • We had a fantastic holiday at Little Becklands. The house was a perfect base for visiting the area. It provided everything we needed. It was incredibly peaceful. We got all our supplies from Bridport market on Saturday morning. Seatown was our favourite local beach. The Anchor is a great pub - try the crab!

    Jessica2016-08-13T00:00:00Z
  • Myself and a friend stayed for one windy, wet night. It was a great place for a getaway and we felt really at home there. The place is really warm and comfortable, and the small touches are greatly appreciated - the freshly baked bread and freshly laid eggs especially! I highly recommend; thanks Hilary.

    Laura2014-02-10T00:00:00Z
  • Little Becklands is amazing, I don't think pictures can capture what its like to stay there. The farmhouse was beautiful! Warm, welcoming and homely with a history to it. I felt very at ease and uncrowded partly because of the organic approach Hilary has to everything and because of the beautiful countryside surrounding. The windows looked over the hills and fields and just a short trip away there are stone beaches and amazing views of Dorset / Devon. ALSO. Hilary makes the best bread ever.

Quiet and surrounded by lovely walks, but a pub within walking distance for a bite to eat or drink.

  • We had a wonderful stay with Katrina. Her lovely little house in the countryside is spick and spam, cozy and providing everything you need for a comfortable stay. Katrina made us feel very welcome. Her dog is a joy to have around. We enjoyed the quiet of the village, the walks through the fields and the local pub while being in close proximity to our more touristic destinations along the jurassic coast. Hopefully Katrina will still be on airbnb next time we come to Dorset. Highly recommended. Thank you for having us!

  • There's even Green Tea! Lovely surroundings, room, vista, loved the welcome from Mokka. So easy for River Cottage. The garden wing is lovely and to be woken by birds early in the AM is exactly what you want from a country stay.

  • Room was clean and a good size. It was very hot when we arrived but we were able to open windows and turn off the radiator which cooled the room however we then noticed a musky smell. However sleeping with the window open made this barable. Bathroom was clean. Tea/coffee amenities. We had our 1 year son with us so i asked, ahead of our arrival, if the hotel had a cot, to which i was told their would be a £12 charge per night. I have never had to pay for a cot before so i thought this was a little much. We ended up just bringing our own travel cot. Apart from this and the slight smell in the room it was a lovely location and the staff were pleasent. For the resonable price, we had no complaints.

Magical carriage for you to unwind and relax in nature. Relaxed days and star gazing nights. Have fun with friends and sip a drink here or enjoy local incredible beaches and stunning countryside. There is a wealth of cider barns, foodie havens, boat trips, yoga classes, small festivals, magical villages and pub walks. This wagon is for the feeling of getting away from it all, amazing local food, real fires and a comfy bed. It's for couples, solo adventurers, families (with kids), and groups.
We have this brilliant newly refurbished wagon for you to stay in! We are 5 mins drive to the fabulous Charmouth beach and 10 mins to the perfect beaches and town of Lyme Regis. The wagon is warm and cosy and feels like a step back in time. We imagine she travelled round the world perhaps with a fortune teller so you will find her to be quirky and magical. There is just candles at night to bring a really relaxed feeling to your holiday. You can park your car very close so you can charge phones in the car. It is a bit like having a bed in a field rather than a self catering apartment. We encourage fires and have a woodburner to keep you cosy at night and heat the hot chocolate on. BBQ is provided so you can sizzle up some camp tucker. When you book I can give lots of ideas for some incredible places to visit and eat at. All are very close. We also offer yoga and massages here. The Wagon is in a tucked away in a little willow field on a retreat centre which is shared with other lovely accommodation so you can bring your friends too!: https://www.airbnb.co.uk/rooms/3426685?preview https://www.airbnb.co.uk/rooms/12866775 https://www.airbnb.co.uk/rooms/3456522

In the village there is a little pub and lots of great eateries a short drive away. The area is famous for its fossils, beaches and beautiful little harbour in Lyme Regis. We have excellent restaurants run by Mark Hix and the River Cottage close by and lots to do locally including fishing trips and regular festivals, falconry and music as well as all the usual holiday fun such as horse riding, kyaking, cycling etc
  • Truly Magical place me and my family loved it

  • Bryony was extremely helpful with information pre-arrival and with suggestions of exciting things to do when we briefly met her at the site. We had such a memorable stay in this peaceful rural location so near to the amazing Jurassic coast beaches. The railway carriage was furnished with a fantastic Chesterfield sofa, cosy wood burning stove, spacious comfortable beds and numerous candlelight lanterns to make it feel magical. We learned that all sites have an option for electrical hook up, but we revelled in the back to basics experience cooking our dinner on the BBQ and boiling our kettle on the open fire under an awesome starlit sky without the distraction of other trappings! The novelty compost loo was very clean (not to be feared) as was the shower and our carriage. We plan to come back with more friends and are so glad we opted for this experience over a hotel. Brilliant, so much fun had in two days!

    Julia2016-07-08T00:00:00Z
  • We're a family with 2 lively boys! Our stay was perfect! A time to disconnect from tech & reconnect as a family! The pictures don't do it justice.. it's just magical.. We can't wait to return. The location is stunning too! X

  • Bryony was lovely, very friendly and most helpful. We were grateful for all her help when our car broke down! The old railway carriage was marvellous fun and a beautiful spot. Our kids loved it especially! We would love to return one day, thanks again!!

  • We stayed at Bryony's for one night in late Autumn and it was magical. Her field is peaceful and picturesque, the railway carriage was super cosy and charming, and following Bryonys recommendations for sightseeing and eating gave us a fabulous 2 days. We will definitely be back!

    Sonja Lockyer2016-10-28T00:00:00Z
  • I would recommend this place. We stayed in the railway carriage (4 ladies) and had a great weekend exploring the area. Bryony was a wonderful host offering a lot of choices to do within the area and provided a lot of information to make our stay comfortable and enjoyable. We did some trail running starting from our home to Charmouth and did a loop up the hills along the coast to Golden Cap all the way back - 8miles with great views. By car Charmouth, Lyme Regis, Bridport, Seatown and West Bay are so close! I didn't have signal but was great to be cut off from the world for a bit. The carriage doesn't have electricity and you'll need to bring your own bbq utensils, candles etc which wasn't a problem for us! We loved the cosy, dark, candlelit vibes. It's all about embracing nature and basic accommodation. Thanks Bryony :)

  • This place was an absolute dream for us and we had such a special and magical time here. We would definitely stay again and the kids loved it so much that they stayed up for hours listening to stories and laughing happily in bed. Thank you Bryony. Really a treat!

Changeover days - TUESDAY and FRIDAY. Not your average caravan! Bluebird is a 1959 vintage caravan, located on our farm near the market town of Bridport, and the Dorset Jurassic Coast. Quiet and peaceful yet less than a mile to The Shave Cross Inn. Enjoy stunning views over the Marshwood Vale; wildflower meadows where you are welcome to walk and enjoy the birdsong and wildlife. Suit couples, solo travellers, families, and dog-friendly.
Bluebird is a 1959 caravan, made in Poole, England and was top of the range in it's day! When we moved to Purcombe Farm in 2009 the Bluebird had been sadly neglected and left to rot. We spent a year restoring her to her former glory and have made curtains and seat coverings in 50's style fabrics. Your stay includes all linen, towels and electricity, the caravan has a well equipped kitchen with a Baby Belling electric cooker and a fridge, there is also a television and dvd player. Being a vintage caravan, the Bluebird does not have a bathroom within the caravan so we have built a shower/wet room right next to it to provide modern-day facilities, this is exclusively for your use and is literally a step away from the caravan. The layout of the caravan provides a fold-away double bed and a single bunk/seating either side of the table with a separate kitchen. The kitchen is well equipped with a fridge, electric Baby Belling cooker and electric kettle and a caftiere and has all you need to make meals during your holiday. Located on a hillside above our Grade II* listed thatched farmhouse the Bluebird caravan has a private courtyard garden with a bench and table for eating outside. From the parking area there is access to our 35 acre farm where you are free to walk and to enjoy the fabulous views over the Marshwood Vale. The Shave Cross Inn is less than a mile down the lane, serving food and drinks, with a dog-friendly bar and garden. The caravan has comfy recliner chairs to sit in to savour the sunsets and a barbecue/firebowl to cook on and keep you warm in the evenings. We also provide a fire extinguisher and smoke alarm for peace of mind. You are welcome to bring your dog with you on your holiday. (£10 charge for dogs).
Pilsdon is a rural hamlet 7 miles from the market town of Bridport, 6 miles from the beach and the Jurassic Coast at Charmouth and 8 miles from Lyme Regis. Our local pub, Shave Cross Inn (under new ownership from October 2018), is less than a mile down the lane and provides good food and a selection of draught beer & cider. Dogs welcome in the bar and garden.
  • Hi, Georgina has thought about all those little essential, even, fresh milk and freshly layed eggs awaits you!! For those who enjoy breakfast. You will love the views, my husband got up early morning to watch the sun rise! Perfect spot for a quiet and lovely break. We had kids and spent most of the time in Lyme Regis beach. Beautiful Sea side.

  • Its lovely. Amazing 360 views from the top of the hill, with the maze to get to the bench. Pub within 20 mins walking. Caravan small but perfectly formed. Immaculately clean. Ensuite excellent with great shower. Although van next to house and Atlas, would never know and very private. Dog welcomed. Thank you Georgina and son.

  • We had such a lovely stay, the caravan is beautiful and is in a stunning location, my children & dog could run around freely. Georgina is lovely and friendly and is on hand if you need her (we didn't as everything was perfect). There is so much to do nearby, fossil hunting, crabbing, fishing, beach and lovely food. We had a truly special time Thanks Georgina.

  • The caravan is in a beautiful setting close to all the main tourist spots. We were very comfortable, warm and the caravan is well equipped. Our dog and child loved running around the farm. We particularly enjoyed a BBQ and the fresh eggs provided. Highly recommend a trip to Pilsden Pen.

    Gareth2016-10-27T00:00:00Z
  • A hidden gem. The caravan is just gorgeous with lots of lovely details. The kids adored staying there, especially the adventure of packing and unpacking their beds each night. The shower room is literally a step away from the caravan, warm and spotlessly clean. Georgina was very helpful and welcoming. The view from the caravan is beautiful. A great spot to get away from it all. We particularly enjoyed fossil hunting on a guided walk from the Heritage Centre at Charmouth and the Portland sculpture park.

  • We were met by Bryony at the site even though we were delayed by over an hour. Such a lovely, warm welcome, she couldn't have been nicer :) The site was just like the photos, amazing, and more! We were so pleased with it and it was a fab experience to stay in a genuine gypsy caravan that was all kitted out. You could see the time, effort and thought taken to make it cosy and authentic. Highly recommended!

Such beautiful attention to detail which makes you realise the history and story behind them. Even the loo and shower have their own unique charm! • I was looking for a quiet and peaceful haven for my boyfriend and I to spend solstice. This was the perfect place. Bryony was so warm and welcoming on the phone and left everything ready for us. It is such a beautiful place, with little touches of style and comfort everywhere. I would recommend it to anyone and am looking forward to going back in the spring. We were there on a cold winter's night and were cosier than I am in my own flat! We both agreed it was our favourite solstice yet : )

  • A fabulously crazy dorset mini adventure. Even in -2 february we were cozy under the many eider downs, though there was frost inside the window in the morning! Wellies were a necessity and when it's been raining I'd leave your car up by the farm accommodation unless it's 4x4 as i bogged my vectra down in the mud. The kids bunk is pretty snug but the caravan is gloriously kitsch and looks adorable by candlelight. My son loved the novelty of putting sawdust down the composting loo and had extra wees to do so! In warmer weather it would be completely idyllic as we'd be able to sit out over the campfire longer. Bryony was, like me, entertaining children over half term so we didn't meet but she was very helpful by phone.

We imagine this little Shepherds Hut originally from Suffolk was owned by a shepherdess with a love for watching the weather. Inside you will find a cosy bed and roaring woodburner for cold nights. This little hut sits in a little willow meadow.
This is a simple little hut with a comfy bed. It's a real get away from the rest of the world using only candles for light at night. Outside you have your own mini garden with a fire pit to cook on and a bench and little table. There is a hot shower a few steps from the door and you will be sharing a compost toilet a few meters further down the meadow. There is a tap outside but no inside cooking space. There are lots of brilliant places to eat very close by which I can tell you about. The sea is only 8 mins drive away.

  • A beautiful space! The little hut was so cosy even in mid-October with an incredibly effective wood burning stove. We had a late evening fire pit with a bottle of wine and a table of snacks outside the hut on the pebbled area under the stars and a harvest moon rising. Couldn't get better than that! We loved the simplicity of the whole set-up. The wood interior and window views were delightful; the bed was warm and comfortable the hut spotlessly clean; we woke to birdsong and slanting sunlight with a little robin on the doorstep looking in on us. • Scenic and cosy!

  • The cabin is a super cosy space, with basic supplies a fire, bed and some cups plates, and a fire pit, great to get back to nature! Situated in a very peaceful setting. The shower was powerful & toilet very clean. (p.s take a camping stove if you fancy a quick brew in the moring!)

  • Staying in the small, cozy hut in the midst of fields and grassy hills was a very special experience. The bed is very comfortable albeit a little short, if you are very tall. We enjoyed firing up the oven in the evening and looking at the stars through the window while laying in bed. There is a kettle on the oven and some basic tableware, so that it's not a problem to make a cup of tea or a sandwich. All the facilities and the meadow itself are great and everyone we met there, including Bryony, were very nice. And the location is perfect for discovering Dorset, the coast and the lovely towns and villages nearby. Bryony also gives some great recommendations for cafés and restaurants! Alltogether we loved staying in the hut and can highly recommend the place!

  • It was an amazing experience staying at this place. Brilliant star gazing in such lovely quite location. Great wood burner to give that comfort and for making porridge and morning coffee. I would definitely stay again!

  • A very quaint annex apartment within Jo's lovely cottage in a secluded part of the country. Jo was a wonderfully accommodating host and her two dogs are very friendly. Jo very kindly left some breakfast for us in the fridge so we didn't need to head out to get some breakfast. We would have loved to spend more time here exploring her garden and the surrounding country side.

    Steven2017-05-01T00:00:00Z
  • Such a wonderful place! Everything was perfect and even exceeded expectations. Jo is a very nice host and we left with the feeling of wanting to come back.

  • What can I say, what a wonderful host and what a wonderful place to stay. Jo and her dogs were so kind and accommodating, our dog Boots loved playing in the ample and beautiful gardens. The cottage is a great base to explore lots of lovely places, the local pub is perfect for lazing around in the evening, or you can relax at the cottage without hearing anything other than the wildlife. The accommodation was everything we could have hoped for and more, so quirky, extremely cute and cosy and well looked after. A nice touch were the ingredients that were left in the fridge for a full English breakfast. We will definitely return here; such a wonderful home from home

  • Jo's place is truly amazing. It provides the most peaceful and tranquil place to stay. The duck wing is beautifully maintained and has everything you can think off. Located so far from a corner store, Jo had kindly provided everything we would need for breakfast too. This was the first time I'd ever been to this location on the SW coast and I was blown away by the whole experience. I would not hesitate to recommend and will definitely return.

  • A very well located beautiful spot, perfect for exploring the area. A few walks on your doorstep so no need to drive out every time. Gorgeous coastal walking too. The duck wing was very comfortable to stay in with a lovely big bath and calming view over the kitchen garden and beyond to the hills. Jo was the perfect host. Incredibly warm and welcoming whilst allowing us our privacy.

  • A beautiful cosy getaway. From the moment we arrived we were made to feel so very welcome. Jo is such a fab lady with a special light about her. Lovely to meet Luke too! and not to forget the furry friends!! The duck wing was just perfect for us and more than we expected from the description. The bath is luxurious, the kitchen facilities and sitting area are stylish and homely and the bed ... what can I say? The bed is like a big inviting marshmallow! We had a lovely stay and spent time enjoying the scenery and serenity of beautiful Dorset. The five bells - 10 mins walk, serves homely food and a warm atmosphere. We plan to rebook sometime next year xx Loved it!

  • From the moment Imogen opened the door to her cheery goodbye the following morning Imogen was a perfect host. We were weary from a long walk & she revived us with tea & cup cakes, left us to have a long soak & then provided us with a delicious evening meal. Although we were sharing the house with Imogen & her daughter we felt very much at ease - among friends, in fact. Their humour & vivacity made our short stay a highlight of our holiday.

Stunning, quiet little cottage nestled in the hills of Marshwood Vale 3 miles from the sea. Sip wine on the terrace surrounded by wildlife, stargaze from your bed or visit all the wonderful things Lyme Regis, Bridport and this area have to offer.
A delightful little cottage at the edge of a quiet village set in the Marshwood Vale. Wonderful walking through the vale, to the sea, or on the national trust land along the coast, all from your front door or a very short drive. Maps in the cottage and we are happy to help with routes. Although for two it is very spacious, with a large double bedroom, skylight above the bed, (with a blackout blind if you prefer no starlight!) large cottage kitchen diner, sitting room, wonderful bathroom with extra deep enamel bath and drenching shower. Outside you have the decked, covered terrace with masses of seating, comfy chairs and dining chairs/table, and patio heaters. The house is full of character and light, a truly restful place to be with masses to do on your doorstep. The cottage allows for a dog or two, the garden has a dog proof fence around it...unless they are high jumpers. We don't allow them in the bedroom and there is a gate to stop them.
Bonhays Barn is ideally situated for the Jurassic Coast, wonderful walking, watersports and the vibrant local towns of Bridport and Lyme Regis. Bridport with its markets (Weds/Sat), vintage section and wonderful Cafes and restaurants. Lyme Regis is famous for its beauty as a seaside town, restaurants and many festivals throughout the summer.
  • The house was lovely and perfect size for two people. Tony was a great host and offered us excellent advice for walking and day trips in the local area. It was a very peaceful, warm and cosy house with lovely kitchen and bathroom and a beautiful bedroom with skylight. Would recommend a peaceful stay here!

    Sally 2016-01-09T00:00:00Z
  • We booked this lovely cottage as part of my birthday celebrations, with a group of friends staying on the adjacent glamping field. Tony gave us a very warm welcome with lots of info for walks and food etc. and we found a basket filled with yummy local breakfast items - a very nice gesture. Bonhays feels like a special hidden gem and the cottage was just perfect. Apart from a swim at Charmouth beach, we particularly enjoyed sitting on the veranda for breakfast and bbq, with the horse trotting by and a beautiful view over the hills. We all had an amazing time - thank you!

    Kristin2015-07-20T00:00:00Z
  • Warm welcome from Sophie and her husband. A full introduction to the cottage and then a chat about local sights and restaurants. Available for a chat if required, Enjoyed the stay and will return in the future.

    Nick2016-06-08T00:00:00Z
  • We were welcomed by tony and given lots of great info about the area which was so helpful. We visited with our 6 month old baby. We needed a microwave to sterilise bottles and this was brought to is within 5 minutes!! Better than a 5 star hotel! Blown away by their hospitality. Welcome basket was superb also!

    Carol2015-08-10T00:00:00Z
  • Sophie was nice enough to email some very good directions so finding the cottage was no trouble. We met Tony on arrival who showed us into the property and immediately sat us down to give us some advice on things to do nearby, walks, shopping, pubs, coffee shops, etc. He was very nice and pointed some things out on a map that we were interested in doing. After that we felt as if we had the whole place to ourselves (apart from a brief, friendly visit from their pooches). The little cottage was very cosy with all the modern conveniences including wifi and TV. We had arrived during a stormy afternoon that wailed into the night but were happily tucked up in our warm and dry cottage. The property is situated in a small village that has lots of opportunities for walking over the fields for gorgeous views of the countryside. It's also within walking distance of the seaside and a pub that serves amazing food. I highly recommend this peaceful little cottage for anyone who needs to get away from the frantic life of the city.

    Nathanael2016-02-11T00:00:00Z
  • The place was exactly as described, all set within a beautiful and peaceful scenic setting. Checking in was super easy; Tony met us and ran through some really helpful hints and tips regarding the local area (which was invaluable). The welcome hamper was an amazing treat, filled with local produce (and was much appreciated)! There are tons of great walks nearby, and some fantastic villages within 15-mins driving distance that are well a visit. We felt completely welcome, and wouldn't hesitate to stay there again.

    Carley2016-11-28T00:00:00Z
  • Lovely, warm and comfortable cottage to stay in. Great welcoming from Tony who provided all info we needed. The enclosed garden was ideal for our dog. An excellent base for exploring Lyme Regis and Bridport as its inbetween the two. We thoroughly enjoyed our long weekend and will definately book again for longer next time.

  • We were made very welcome by Tony when we arrived. He gave us some useful information about the local area and recommended walks, cafes, restaurants etc. There was also a lovely little basket of local produce for us to enjoy. The cottage was perfect, really peaceful and in beautiful surroundings, and with no light pollution the night skies were incredible! This was our first visit to Dorset, and we will definitely be returning.

  • This is a room in a lovely old farmhouse - real rural charm in a beautiful part of Dorset. Hilary was wonderfully accommodating and helpful. We had come poorly prepared for a wedding and Hilary provided us with flowers from the garden for buttonholes, sellotape to wrap presents........ A great stay!

    Jenny2015-09-13T00:00:00Z
  • My wife, toddler and I had a really enjoyable 2 days stay with Hilary. Hilary is a very welcoming and generous host. She was helpful in accommodating our little one, even finding a little toy truck for him to ride around on in the mornings! Her thatched cottage is charming and comfortable, and situated in beautiful surroundings. We really enjoyed the homecooked english breakfast which exceeded our expectations :). We stayed here for our visit to River Cottage and would recommend it to others looking for an affordable country stay in Dorset/East Devon area.

    Mike2017-08-21T00:00:00Z
  • Very peaceful location. The bedroom is nicely furnished with a comfortable bed and bathroom next door. The most delicious organic breakfast cooked by Hilary, it was a real treat. A lovely restful stay.

    sally2017-07-16T00:00:00Z
  • Very good, a quiet relaxing stay, great breakfast especially the freshly pressed apple juice and the blackberries, picked early that morning.

    Helen2017-09-17T00:00:00Z
  • Hilary is friendly and helpful. The farm is unique - it is full of Dorset charm. The room is spacious and clean with light filtering through the roses and the gentle sound of the hens. It had lots of lovely touches such as a book of Barnes, the Dorset poet, and lots of herbal teas to choose from. The bathroom has romantic retro fittings. The rooms are separated from the rest of the cottage with a wooden door so it feels very private. We had lots of choice for our organic breakfast. Hilary gave us useful tips about how to enjoy the area, and we had a wonderful evening in Lyme Regis. Hilary invited us to pick a Mirabelle plum from the tree. We hope to go back to stay in her cob cottage, attached to the farmhouse.

    Clare2015-08-15T00:00:00Z
  • Becklands farm is a very quiet and secluded retreat and we really appreciated the calm and peace. The room was very clean and bed comfortable. Hilary provided a great choice of breakfast and was very willing to offer a good range of organic and locally sourced food. We arrived late on our first day after a long drive and in need of food, and Hilary showed us directions to the the local village pub (10-15 minutes walk away). Should you need it the Wi-Fi reception was pretty good. If you need a serene place for a short break R&R, this is it.

    Gavin2014-08-12T00:00:00Z
  • Lovely host Hillary. Beautiful surroundings. Gorgeous breakfast. Thanks for a lovely stay!

    Liz2015-04-19T00:00:00Z
  • Beautiful old Dorset cottage - the photos don't do the place justice! Just a few minutes walk from the pub, and ten mins drive to Lyme Regis. Would totally recommend for anyone who wants to explore the Jurassic coast and local attractions without the busyness of being based in a town. Loved Hilarys breakfasts, especially the organic apple juice and jam selection!

  • Georgina was very welcoming and the caravan was very comfortable and well equipped. The photos were all accurate and it is a wonderful location just next to fields with fantastic views of the countryside all around. Wonderfully peaceful, restful and quiet mixed in with wildlife sounds and farm animals. It was that my dog was also welcome.

  • Georgina was a fab host - welcomed us on arrival and great communication with booking and after. Was on hand to recommend some good placed for a birthday supper. Location is beautiful very peaceful and private with amazing views! The caravan was perfect - so clean and tidy - like a home from home. Lovely touches like eggs, milk and vase of flowers. We had a fantastic time - bbq's most evenings followed by watching some Olympics and board games. Location not far to some beautiful beaches - our favourites were Seatown and Eypemouth. Our family of four voted it one of our best holidays!

    Suzy2016-08-19T00:00:00Z
  • We had a great stay at Purcombe farm. I've never stayed in a caravan before and Atlas surpassed all my expectations. It was so well kitted out and so comfy and cosy - even in the rain! The location is great - easy to explore the local area and in an idyllic spot - having your own hill to climb (complete with cool mown paths) is pretty special. would definitely go back - my young boys keep asking when this will be!!

    Jane2017-08-04T00:00:00Z
  • My wife, 2 year old son, dog and I had a wonderful time with Georgina. Her description is accurate; in fact she undersells the place. The location is picturesque, Georgina and her son are very friendly and the checking in\out system is very effective and convenient. You feel very welcome when you stay here with complimentary biscuits, home laid eggs and a home made guide book to look through when you arrive. Georgina even got us "Moores" biscuits which is my second name, that may have been an accident though ( doesn't matter we loved it), my son had 3 for breakfast when we weren't looking. The place is very clean and uncluttered and without a shadow of a doubt, I would stay here again and probably will if she will have us.

    Matt2016-10-10T00:00:00Z
  • Georgina was a very warm, friendly & welcoming host. I would recommend a walk at dusk around the farm on the mowed path as we saw deer, bats & owls. Definitely pack a torch, warm clothing & wellies. Be careful driving up the track to the caravan in wet weather!

    Nicola2017-09-25T00:00:00Z
  • Beautiful location with amazing views and sunsets from the decking. Very peaceful - we could hear the birds and watch them from the caravan window. Very comfortable clean caravan with everything we needed for a great family holiday with young children. Lovely to be able to walk in the fields on the farm with grassy paths for the children to follow. Couldn't have been better. Great location for Charmouth beach and Lyme Regis for Fossil hunting.

Welcome to the Boudoir! This little cabin is self contained within it's very own patch of willow woodland, over looking a small lake. It has easy access to fabulous local eateries, pubs, culture and nature walks, including the fabulous Jurassic coastline just a 5 minute drive away. It's completely unique; a boutique, bohemian space with comfort, ease and a healthy level of escapism from the modern day built into every nook and cranny. My place is good for couples and solo adventurers.
This magical little hideaway is tucked into Willow trees by a little overgrown lake. You will be sleeping in a cabin which feels like a tree house. The space has a calm, retreat like feel which is perfect for star gazing and late night chats by the fire either inside or outside. Massages and yoga are available on request.
This is a mini heaven on earth in this hidden part of Dorset. Jaw dropping coastal scenery and wild beaches like Charmouth. Romantic Lyme Regis with cool cafes and shops. eccentric Bridport with real artisan eateries and quirky antique and retro shops. local cinema and cool theatres. Countryside capers with falconry, horse riding, fishing, wild swimming, Lyme Regis aquarium, SUP, kayaking, boat trips... you name it! Literally tons of some of the countries finest foodie gems including River Cottage, Hix, The Beach Cafe in Burton Bradstock. Award winning cafes including The Town Mill Bakery, BearKat, Soulshine and tons of cocktail places and independent bars. Or just your classic chish and fips by the sea. Life here is very good and very tasty!
  • Absolutely beautiful secluded cabin. The pictures genuinely don't do it justice. The definition of cosy. Can't speak highly enough of it.

  • This is a beautiful, secluded cabin that is perfect if you want to get away from it all. The kitchen has the necessities to get by. This location absolutely allowed us to check out of our busy lives and check-in to nature and enjoying the local sounds. The cabin is perfectly secluded so you are not bothered by anyone (unless you are bothered by a horse name Temptress who loves to eat carrots from your hand!!!)

This period cottage all on the ground floor, is at Laverstock Farm in the heart of the countryside. You’ll love it because of the cosiness, the views and the space. My place is good for couples and small families (with kids) and dogs. It has a king size bed and single bed in a large room so is also great for those looking for a twin room.
  • Very cosy night in a quiet and magnificient ancient farm.

  • Admiral’s Cottage was the perfect base for our stay in Dorset. Emma was an excellent hostess, greeted us late in the evening on our arrival, and made sure I was able to get online when the WiFi went down. The cottage is gorgeous - so comfortable and warm, beautiful setting, cosy bedding, everything you need in the kitchen, even farm fresh eggs. We were able to host a family gathering at the big dining table, and enjoyed the nearby footpaths across some of the loveliest scenery anywhere. We’d love to return.

  • We stayed at Admiral's cottage very last minute. The place was cheaper for the whole cottage than one room at a nearby hotel! The location is very peaceful and you do need to take some country roads to get to but it is well worth it for how beautiful the location is! Even though Emma was away, she left us information on where to park and how to get in to the cottage and left numbers should we need her. However, their were cleaners and other staff available who greeted us when we did arrive! The cottage its self is incredible, very clean, such a fab size and excellent value for money - we only wished we were staying longer! We felt the pictures online, didn't show us just how lovely the setting of the cottage is!

  • Highly recommend. We had a lovely time - the cottage is beautiful and a great price. Emma and Ludo are fantastic hosts and the grounds in which the cottage is situated are perfect for walks and offer more than the usual air bnb. We will be back!

The Duck House; a lovely child/dog friendly chalet nestling in the orchard at Plenty Cottage. With it’s own private terrace, this is the perfect holiday retreat for a family or a group of friends - and pets! Open plan living space is centred around a pot-bellied wood burner and it’s a comfortable and home from home. There's a wonderful rambling garden, summerhouse, BBQ and heated swimming pool to enjoy (available 1st April - 31st September). The mantra here is 'No Stress'. All are welcome.
The Duck House is fully furnished. It's centrally heated but in addition, there's everything you need to light the wood burner. The second bedroom is child orientated with a double bunk bed and a single above so it sleeps three kids (or adults!). There are strict safety rules regarding the pool but other than that, the garden/BBQ are for you to enjoy. My beach hut is available Oct- March
It would take hours and thousands of words trying to explain why this is the Land of Peace and Plenty. The Jurassic Coast, the protection of the National Trust with it's spectacular walks, view and Ley Lines; the historic market towns and villages. Unspoilt seaside towns plus wonderful food and restaurants all add to the mix. It is really is the most wonderful location where the pace is gentle and the people are friendly. Accessible outstanding beauty would sum it all up - and at any time of year
  • This is definitely a dog friendly area in a beautiful location. The Duck Wing is not an individual residence and the family noise does carry through.

  • Wonderful 2 night stay in the Duck house, fantastic location, so quiet and tranquil, we thought you could hear the grass growing. Jo is a wonderful host, with nothing being too much trouble.

  • Lovely lovely lady who goes out her way to make you welcome. We had such a relaxing stay and enjoyed the pool, the wildlife and animal residents! We would definitely recommend for a peaceful stay and lovely surroundings.

  • We have just spent a blissful week at The Duck House. Amazing place with a fabulous host in a beautiful setting. We all loved the accomodation and the pool was an absolute bonus for the children. We will be back, I have found my sanctuary. A very happy week with wonderful memories brought home. Thank you Jo x

  • The location is beautiful, the pool is great fun, and the house is cozy and had everything we needed. The only issue was the WiFi but fortunately we didn't need to use it too much! Definitely would recommend to anyone staying in Dorset.

  • Jo's place was great. Home away from home. Perfect for kids and family dog. The kid didn't want to go out...ever... just wanted to stay at the house and play. Jo was great and there if we had questions. Lovely garden! A pool! And chickens. Would definitely book again.

    Phoebe2017-10-29T00:00:00Z
  • What a fabulous location, wonderful views and very easy to get around. The house had everything we needed and Jo was a great host, made us feel very welcome. The sweet peas were glorious and to get home grown fruit was a bonus. Thank you so much.

    Ailsa2017-07-02T00:00:00Z
  • We had a very relaxing weekend away here. The duck house is tucked away at the bottom of the garden, overlooking a field, so felt very private and secluded. We had a fun time in the pool too! Jo was great at communicating and made us feel at home. Totally stress-free.
