Incredible Designer Studio in villa+pool+jacuzzi

Your own very private well equipped suite in a large, modern, designer villa. Unique In-floor bathtub with stunning panoramic views of sea, capital city and mountains. Crack open a coconut in the tropical garden before dozing in the hammock by the pool. Designed by the owner, the interior is inspired by his global travels, but with Mauritian touches omnipresent. Much of the furniture was custom-made. Your independent access studio has a balcony and a kitchenette. Free acess to shared (with owner and a studio)areas include kitchens, barbecue, gym, lounges, terraces, pool, Jacuzzi, parking. As a passionate designer Florian has firstly designed is villa to accommodate his friends and family from Europe for their vacation on the island. Privacy, comfort and stunning architecture have been his priorities. The deco has been inspired by his worldwide travels but the Mauritian touch remains very present. Most of the furnitures have been designed for the Villa and locally handmade. You will have independant access to your own seaview suite with balcony and kitchenette. Free access to the shared area : Swimming pool, many equipped terraces, fully equipped kitchen + outdoor kitchen, bar, gym, lounges, dinning room, tropical park, parking. The villa may host other guests at the same time but every hosting unit is totally independant and far from others in this 500sqm villa Early check-in / late check out may be available, please confirm before reservation It is not only about perfect hosting. I want to provide you with service : advises to help you organizing before your trip and assistance during your stay also. Do not hesitate to ask any question about the Villa, its area or about our paradise Island of Mauritius ! Pointe aux Sables is a typical Mauritian sea side town. Authentic, relaxed and not yet touristic. Port Louis is 20min away and the 2 most touristic areas are 25 to 45min away. No place on the island is further than 1h drive. Perfect starting point to explore Mauritius. If you want to spend your days on touristic beach or need busy resort nearby, this is not the place for you. If you want to live the authentic mauritian experience and be centraly located to explore, you will love our town! Renting a car or hiring a driver is the best way to discover the Island ! Parking available in the garden. You will find serious companies at the airport at same price than in town. Each spot of the Island is about less than one hour drive from the villa. Bus to Port Louis (capital city) every 10minutes at 500m. Outdoors, the terraces expand on five different levels hunged over the tropical garden, creating unique panoramas (sky/garden/sea/mountains) and comfortable sitting spaces. You have traveled over the oceans in order to come here; this is the time that you can finally dive into the pool and drink a coconut from the garden. Your will live magical moments on your private balcony : your day will start having breakfast watching boats coming to the Island from every part of the world. It will finish with a colorful sunset over the banana and palm trees. Arrival tips : - ATM or Money exchange at the airport offer same rates than in town. - I advise to rent a car to get the most of mauritius (GPS advised), - taxi transfert is Rs 1500 - local sim card with data available at the airport post office (+-3€) - Jumbo Phoenix shopping center or Bagatelle mall are on the way to home Some minor decoration work and construction in totaly independant parts of the villa are still under progress in the shared area but you won't have issues and won't meet workers.

Your guide to Mauritius

Welcome to Mauritius

Various legendary poets, writers, and artists have been driven to deliver sheafs of purple prose concerning Mauritius and its beauty. This volcanic island nation, comprising a number of small islets, sits like a pearl in the Indian Ocean, around 500 miles east of Madagascar. It is ringed by coral reefs, perfect white-sand beaches, and clear turquoise seas. Many come purely to sun-seek and spa, but there’s so much more to the country for those willing to explore.

This nation was once ruled by the French, Dutch, and British, and the influence of these nations is mixed with its African heritage. There are national parks to hike in and explore with uniquely biodiverse plants and animals, colonial mansions to visit, tiny mountain villages to discover, and sumptuous uninhabited islands to investigate.

The best time to stay in a holiday rental in Mauritius

This is a tropical paradise we’re talking about, so you’ll probably find joyous sunshine at any time of the year. The only period you may wish to avoid staying in a villa here is from late December to March, when there’s a higher chance of a cyclone. Summer here runs from November to April, which are both the hottest and the wettest months. The period around Christmas gets especially busy, with Northern Hemispherians seeking some winter sun. The winter months of June to September are still pleasantly warm with less chance of a shower (and fewer mosquitos). The diverse cultural character of the island is reflected in its many festivals. The Tamil Thaipoosam Cavadee festival takes place in February, as does the Hindu Maha Shivaratri festival, while Mauritians of all faiths celebrate Pere Laval Day in September.

Top things to do in Mauritius

Natural History Museum

Sadly there’s not much chance of seeing a living dodo in the flesh anywhere at the moment. The closest you can come is a visit to this museum in Port Louis, which has a section dedicated to the extinct flightless bird that was once endemic to this part of the world until Dutch settlers decided they just tasted too good. There are further exhibits on the fascinating fauna and flora of the country.

Black River Gorges National Park

If you can drag yourself away from the beach, then be sure to head inland to the largest national park on the island. With acres of rainforest to explore, this is where you’re going to witness the most astonishing wildlife and terrain in the region. A great place for a hike, you might catch a glimpse of the famed rare pink pigeon! The waterfall at nearby Chamarel is also worth exploring.

Rodrigues

Just a short plane ride away from the main island, the stunningly beautiful Rodrigues features expansive coastal hiking trails, the Île aux Cocos nature reserve, the blissful Trou d’Argent cove, incredible food, some of the best diving on the planet, and wild tortoises.
