“You really have this beach at the end of my street so not many reasons to go here. However, there is a really cool bike trail that goes through some awesome native woodlands. ”

“Watch cruise ships sail out around 4 p.m. each day and walk the jetty. There are locks west of this area which release water from Banana River. Lots of places to dine at the port (Rusty's, Grills, Larry's Chicken Shack to name a few).”

“Great for kayaking the canal to the open river. See manatees, alligators and birds at various times, but not all the time.”

“If you don't want to walk to the beach from the townhouse, hop in the car and just drive around the corner from Ocean Woods down to this secluded beach with parking for about 6 cars, and then walk out to the beach on the raised wooden ramp. Get there early if you want to find a place to park, especially on weekends.”

“To be honest you can out local me on this one! I have never been, but do know that this is an epic slice of nature and a look into old Florida. I can't wait to go and hope you can share some insight if you make it there before me! World class Redfish fishing off these flats. ”
