Milngavie Holiday Rentals

Just booked in Milngavie

Good size bedroom with one double bed and private bathroom in comfortable, contemporary home. Enjoy the beautiful Scottish countryside, including the West Highland Way, but also have easy access by train (25 minutes) to the vibrant city centre.
Relaxed, contemporary home in lovely, open residential street. Well-travelled hosts who enjoy meeting people. Transport from Milngavie railway station if required. Tea/coffee and home-baking. A light breakfast of cereal/porridge, toast and preserves is available. Washer/dryer facilities available for a small fee.
Locals refer to Milngavie as "the Village". It has the feel of a village, with a pedestrianised shopping precinct, including food shops, pharmacies, coffee shops and pubs, clothes shops, gift shops, jewellers, galleries etc. There are also the usual medical services, doctors, optician etc. There is a Marks and Spencer and a Waitrose. There are also lovely walks locally, one of the favourites being around Craigmaddie Reservoir, which provides the water supply for the area. It is, of course, the start/finish point for the West Highland Way. Milngavie gives the best of both worlds, being on the edge of the country and yet less than half an hour by train from the city centre. There are also direct trains to the centre of Edinburgh, a journey of one and a half hours.
  • Our hosts were extremely gracious and even picked us up from the train station and brought us to the trail head the next morning. The room was lovely and the breakfast was delicious and beautifully laid out.

  • Our first night in Scotland at Jacky's cosy house in Milngavie was the best preparation for our subsequent hiking trip on the West Highland Way we could have imagined. Jacky (and her adorable cat) welcomed us warmly and we were offered a cup of tea. The light and beautifully furnished sleeping room made us feel really comfortable. The breakfast Jacky prepared for us in the morning was the perfect preparation for the first hiking kilometres. Jacky's house is an approximately 10 to 15min walk from the train station and around 10min away from the next supermarket. I can highly recommend to stay at Jacky's place... not only to hikers ;-)

    Kerstin2017-04-01T00:00:00Z
  • Jacky was a great host, welcoming us on arrival with a cup of tea and biscuits and happy to leave us to our own devices or have a chat - we did a bit of both! Room was beautiful, clean and comfortable and Jacky had left out some books about the West Highland Way and menus for the local restaurants. Her house is about half a mile from the centre and start of the West Highland Way which was perfect. Would definitely stay again.

    Jen2017-09-18T00:00:00Z
  • Jacky was a marvelous host. She was welcoming and helpful and we enjoyed getting to know her over tea and breakfast. Her home is inviting and charming and very close to the town center of Milngavie, but is in a quiet and peaceful neighborhood. Our guest room was large with lots of space for our things, and the bed and linens provided a wonderful night's sleep. The bathroom also was roomy and immaculately clean and well supplied. It was a pleasure to be a guest at Jacky's and we highly recommend a stay with her.

Botanical Gardens, University, Stand, Hydro, Kelvingrove. Free parking. Rennie MacIntosh Church, Glasgow University, Ashton Lane. Queen Margaret Drive is the Botanical Gardens part of Byres Rd.
This area is the last outpost of free parking this close to Downtown. Like most all UK cities, the West End bit is the Victorian part, and, as they introduced parks, art galleries museums etc, So that's where most the cafes and the restaurants are too. Glasgow city centre is the usual glass-fronted anodyne rubbish, (does have a LOT of shopping though) but the east end has some really nice Georgian architecture. Access to Loch Lomond is half an hour from the apartment.
Queen Margaret Drive is a cafes, craft/vintage/second-hand shops, baking, knitting, pal-arounding kind of space. We have a Festival of Owls, we don't actually have any owls, but we do celebrate them. So, that kind of sums us up I think. Daft, but friendly.
  • Our stay at Dave's place was absolutely perfect. The apartment was immaculate and we had absolutely everything we needed. Spacious, tastefully decorated and comfortable. The beds are so comfortable and the doonah (duvet) was like sleeping under a cloud! Great kitchen, lovely bathroom with a bath big enough to stretch out in. If you do manage to leave the comforts of the apartment there are so many great places within walking distance. The location is fantastic. Dave was extremely helpful and accessible which made everything so much easier. Thanks so much for having us Dave it made our stay in Glasgow that bit more unforgettable.

  • Dave was a lovely host. Sent loads of info in advance of travel and met me at the underground when I arrived. Throughout my stay gave me loads of ideas to make my business trip easy and fun. Dave's flat is in the beautiful west end of Glasgow just by the Botanic Gardens. Plenty of shops and cafes and 5 minutes from Hillhead Underground - takes 10 minutes to get to main station at Queen Street. Dave's place is just what I was looking for. Traditional building, plenty of space, privacy and the added bonus of Dave's fantastic taste with loads of quirky vintage furniture and pictures - real ones. I'll look forward to returning and finding out more about Dave - interesting guy. Loved it! Thanks Dave.

  • Great location and very well presented flat. We had our xmas night out down byres Rd and the flat was a quick 2 minute walk away. Would highly recommend both the flat and Dave as a host 10/10.

  • Lovely peaceful, spacious and calming flat in a really nice part of the city with the botanical gardens and river walks on your doorstep. Dave met us when we arrived and gave us very useful information... ...you won't go wrong here.

  • Dave made me feel welcome, he was friendly, helpful and made me feel relaxed and comfortable at the flat. The flat had everything I needed. The location is great, near the lovely botanical gardens and vibrant area and also near the subway. I liked the view from the nice big windows overlooking a sweet flowery garden and the flat felt spacious and nice. There was also a living room and the bathroom was clean and modern. I would recommend this place to my friends and would stay again if I was in Glasgow. Was well worth the money. Thank you Dave:)

Welcome to our lovely flat in the West End. We live in a traditional Glasgow tenement flat on a quiet residential street with beautiful shared gardens nearby. Convenient for West End attractions (Kelvingrove Park and Museum, University, Botanic Gardens, cafes/restaurants etc). 10-15 minutes walk to University and Byers Road shops/cafes/bars, 20-30 minutes walk to city centre. 3 minutes walk to frequent bus service to centre. Free on-street parking outside the flat.
This is our home - we have been living here for the past 4 years and it is filled with all our things making it homely and inviting. It's a really spacious 2nd floor flat, with a big kitchen/diner and a large living space with traditional bay windows. Our bedroom is light and airy with a big (140x200cm), comfortable double bed. The bathroom is bright with a good powerful shower. There is a bright and spacious kitchen with dining table and fridge, freezer, gas hob, electric oven, microwave and washing machine (no dishwasher!). Because we still live here some of the time there are loads of utensils and things to cook with in the kitchen and we'll make sure there's always some shampoo, things to read, and milk in the fridge! We now also have a sofa bed in the lounge for extra guests or if you'd rather not share a bedroom! It's perfect for one and cosy but comfortable for two (113x170cm). Please let us know before arrival if you plan to use it so we can leave out bedding (we have a duvet, pillows and sheets for you to use). We now have a 32" LCD TV in the lounge for guests to use.
We live in the West End of Glasgow, which is perfect for the cafe and shopping culture the West End is famous for. Kelvingrove Park and the Botanic Gardens are a ten minute walk away, the busy shopping street of Byres Road is a ten minute walk, and we live five minutes from Great Western Road. While famous for its shopping, cafes, and bars, the West End also has numerous museums such as Kelvingrove Art Gallery; the Tenemant House, Glasgow School of Art and the Riverside Museum are also easy to walk to. The University of Glasgow is 15 minutes walk. Our street is very quiet and residential with traditional sandstone architecture all around.
  • Nice place for couples. The apartment is nicely furnished with a cosy feel. There are lots of climbing and biking books as well. We love the kitchen best. The location is great for us to explore the city as well as the Parks around.

  • Everything was just amazing! Ross has a beautiful place in a great location! It is not right in the center of Glasgow, but we walked everywhere (20 minutes approx to get to the center) and that´s exactly what he told us. Everything was great and he even let us stay longer before check-out :) Would definitely stay there again!

    Dario2016-11-22T00:00:00Z
  • Ross was very friendly when I checked in. The flat was lovely and cosy - given the weather it was tempting to stay in all day.

    Matt2016-01-25T00:00:00Z
  • Lovely, bright flat just like in the photos. Very clean, comfortable and homely. Perfect location for walking to the West End, Botanics and University. We would definitely like to stay again. Thank you! :-)

  • We met with Olivia who was wonderful and accommodating to us, she has a great map in the kitchen to help figure out the best areas for what you are looking for. The flat was absolutely beautiful- we wanted to move in! Great experience :)

  • Beautiful flat in a great location. Felt at home immediately! A great place to stay when visiting Glasgow- really glad we stayed in the West End and at Ross and Olivia's lovely home.

    Polly2015-09-21T00:00:00Z
  • Ross and Olivia have a really lovely apartment. It's even better than the pictures. Also Ross was very friendly with check in. We arrived quite late (our flight arrived at night) and he was waiting for us in the flat. The neighborhood is very quiet and is close to the center and the University. The kitchen is very well equipped and has everything you could need (milk, spices, olive oil, teas). The bed is very comfortable and there is plenty of room to leave luggage and clothes. We would have loved to go back in spring but unfortunately it is already rented.

    Beatriz2016-12-07T00:00:00Z
  • The apartment was just perfect, it was very clean, easy to find and provided us with everything we needed (towels, kitchen equipment, great wifi etc) and the location was great, the bus stop is very close by. Ross and Olivia were so nice, always responded quickly to our messages and offered to help or answer any questions we had!

Milngavie is one of Glasgow’s most sought-after semi-urban/semi-rural areas with easy access to the city centre. The village is situated on the edge of the beautiful Mugdock Country Park with the West Highland Way starting close by. Loch Lomond, Loch Katrine, the many hills and the Trossachs National Park are all easily accessible. Reaching the Forth-Clyde Canal paths, with its flat cycle tracks, is also effortless. With proximity to stunning scenery everywhere to be seen, Milngavie remains one of the most beautiful and rewarding places to visit in Scotland. As well as its rich history (Rockbank next door is one of the oldest in the area), Milngavie is served by a wide range of retailers, restaurants and pleasant inns. In addition, it has fantastic facilities that include grocery supermarkets, leisure and sports centres, golf courses, cinema complexes, as well as easy access to Glasgow’s renowned concert and theatre venues. The village also benefits from fantastic transport links for the M8 to Edinburgh, A9 to Stirling/Perth or M74 to the South and England. With its frequent and efficient local and main line railway networks, Glasgow is easily accessible by car or train, and well serviced by two local airports. Recent guests have used this as a base to visit Fort William, the Glenfinnan ['Hogwarts Express'] viaduct, Oban & Inverness [Loch Ness].
  • This is a great house rental, big and spacious and perfect for a family or group to stay in. On one of the prettiest streets of Milngavie, this house is very peacefully located with a lovely big garden and nice countryside views. It has all the mod cons a group would need and is a great base from which to explore the surrounding areas. Chris the owner was extremely helpful and welcoming and we shall definitely return to this house the next time we are visiting the area.

    Gail2017-04-19T00:00:00Z
  • Great large house very close to the train station and Milngavie city centre. The backyard was great for the kids and adukts alike. Chris couldn't have been a more attentive host.

  • We loved staying at ‘Pleasant Hill’. The Bungalow was perfect for our three-night stay. It was conveniently located to shops and restaurants. The hosts Chris and his wife were very helpful and went above and beyond to make sure we had everything we needed. They had arranged breakfast for us and quickly answered any e-mails I sent before coming. Everything was clean and so comfortable. Can't say enough good things about the experience. So good!

    Jelena2017-06-26T00:00:00Z
  • From the moment I booked this Airbnb, our host, Chris was great. He was very friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable about the area. He was very accommodating and went out of his way to make sure my family and I had everything we needed. It was a great location for a large family to stay and I would definitely recommend it for anyone visiting Milngavie, Glasgow, or Loch Lomond area.

    Priyanka2017-05-22T00:00:00Z
  • We had a great stay ! Chris was flexible and welcoming, we arrived earlier than expected and still could get into the house without any issues. Chris was helpful with tips where to go and what to do. The house is nice, lots of space for everyone, host even welcomed us with home made bread and marmalade ! We came to Scotland to celebrate my mother in-law's birthday and on the day Chris and his wife surprised us with a delicious home made chocolate cake for her birthday, WOW. Highly recommended and should we go back to Scotland we will definitely book this house again ! Thank you Chris for a wonderful stay !

    Miri2016-08-23T00:00:00Z
  • We rented this house from Chris during my wedding in Glasgow. We had 16 guests staying at this house a long with a 10-15 more that would stop by throughout the day during wedding festivities. The house accommodated everyone comfortably. I would highly recommend staying at Chris's place for the following reasons: House - the house is on a private lot with a huge backyard. Chris allowed us to put up a 20x20 meter marquee and it easily fit. Inside there was a large living room/kitchen area where everyone from our party was able to enjoy breakfast together. There were also enough dishes and pots to allow us to cook large breakfasts in the mornings. The rooms were also spacious comfortable. Neighborhood - the house is a 4 minute walk to milngavie town center and groceries. It was quiet and serene. Getting to Glasgow was no problem and around 20£ one way. Uber wasn't available in the town, but getting dropped off there from Glasgow was no prob. Host - I would give 6 stars if possible. Chris was a courteous host from the second I booked the house. He helped me plan he marquee setup before I got there, had pizza waiting for me when I arrived late to the checkin and was always available throughout the stay. My family loved him and even invited him the wedding. I can't thank Chris enough for his hospitality and generosity.

    Gurjit2017-07-11T00:00:00Z
  • A big thanks to Chris for making every effort to make our trip and stay comfortable. The villa was a great place to stay with your family and friends. It is very near from Milngavie station. You will find all necessary things near by. There are a lot of things to engage your little ones, a tree house, lot of toys, a big garden for kids to play. All in all it was a life time experience for us and we would recommend others also, specially if you have a big group of people with you.

    Sandipan2017-07-17T00:00:00Z
  • Chris' place is truly a gem. Located in a very good area with access to the lakes, Glasgow city and Edinburgh, Chris' guest house can easily accommodate up to 20 guests. We were very grateful and thankful to have such a great and warm host who made us feel at home on the first day we arrive. We knew we could approach Chris at anytime and he would always be helpful. I would definitely recommend Chris' place to anyone visiting Glasgow with a big group.

Lovely family home only a ten minute drive from the start of the West Highland Way and within easy reach of the city centre of Glasgow. We offer a comfortable single bedroom, shared bathroom for use of guests (we also have a double room) and a great 'help yourself' breakfast.
Lovely open plan house with friendly and knowledgeable hosts. Very bright single bedroom with space for your clothes and belongings. Super comfortable single bed with all cotton sheets and bedding. We also have a double bedroom available under a separate listing.
Bearsden is a tranquil suburb of the vibrant city of Glasgow. It's to the North West of Glasgow within easy reach of the West Highland Way, the Trossachs, Loch Lomond and the most glorious countryside. Guests have the best of both worlds with Glasgow on the doorstep and the tranquility of the countryside just moments away. It's an ideal base for touring Loch Lomond, the Tossachs, Stirling and Edinburgh.
  • I only spent one night at Rhona's home near Glasgow but she was very friendly and welcoming and I enjoyed chatting to her over a cup of coffee. The room was small yet comfortable but the house is on a flight path so if (like me) you prefer to sleep with a window open, then bring earplugs. I didn't have enough time in the area so will return to Glasgow and would certainly stay at Rhona's house again.

    Ruth2015-10-13T00:00:00Z
  • Now that I've stayed with Rhona and Hugh I can echo all the great reviews I read before I booked. Clean, comfortable room and helpful charming hosts. Good shower too. Thanks for a lovely stay :)

  • Rhona and her family are simply great. I would recommend them to everyone. The house is nice and clean and close to bus and train station if you need to go to Glasgow.

    Gaia2016-09-18T00:00:00Z
  • Friendly and down-to-earth hosts. The room and bed were comfy. The room is on the small size but perfectly fine - clean, tidy, welcoming. Lovely shared bath. The house does have a cat, so I skipped breakfast as the cat wanted to say hello and I'm allergic. No problems up in the room, though, so I'd guess the cat isn't allowed in the guest rooms. Breakfast is do-it-yourself, with everything you need supplied. I'd definitely stay here again. Location is quite good, just a few miles north of Glasgow. Quiet area, and Rhona suggested I park in the driveway. My only suggestions - put a number sign by the door (I wasn't sure at first which house it was, but the AirBNB picture kept me right) and also block off the kitchen from the cat early mornings.

    Claralynn2015-10-25T00:00:00Z
  • Rhona, was a great host! Her place is well located for someone starting the West Highland Way. She was always in contact and helped me out the day of my departure!

This light and modern apartment is perfectly located half way between the heart of Glasgow's vibrant west end and the city centre. It's clean and cosy, with a smart double bedroom, spacious lounge and well-equipped kitchen. Our apartment is perfect for anyone needing quick access either on foot or by public transport to Glasgow's universities, gig venues, nightlife and business district. There is plenty of on-street parking available in the area.
The flat is up one flight of stairs with secure ground floor entry. We have central heating, powerful WiFi and provide tea and coffee and bathroom essentials to help you feel right at home!
The apartment is surrounded by convenience stores, only a few minutes' walk in any direction! There are plenty of small delis and sandwich shops very close by and a fantastic, cheap n' cheerful Italian-style diner just down the road - £4.99 full cooked breakfast, what more can we say!
  • Gregor and Imogen were organised and very concern of my stay at their lovely flat. Although I wasn't getting into Glasgow till midnight, they insisted that I sent them a message to let them know of my arrival. The following day, they got in touch to see if I was comfortable and if there was anything else I needed. A comfortable 3 nights for the following reasons: 1. They left the keys for pick up which meant I could arrive at anytime. 2. Flat- Clean, tidy, very well equipped with everything I needed to make myself at home. 3. Location- Perfect to get to the West End and town. 4. Neighbourhood- I had the pleasure of meeting their next door neighbour who was a darling. I didn't feel threatened living there. 5. Ample free parking. Definitely a return for me.

  • Imogene and Gregory's flat was so comfy and homey. We had all the comforts of home, including breakfast items for everyday. We contacted Gregor several different times for suggestions of places to go and help with finding particular things. He was so prompt in getting back to us that we had no delays in fulfilling our plans. We would recommend this wonderful place to anyone visiting Glasgow. We walked everywhere and enjoyed the proximity of the flat to all other modes of transportation. Enjoy,,,

Queen Margaret Drive is the same street as Byres Rd, a friendly little community with a lot of cafes, craft shops and everything from knitting, piercings to bakeries catered for.

  • Staying at Dave's was a great experience and we thoroughly enjoyed our time there. Dave was a warm and welcoming host who took time to give us detailed information about the area and the things we could do. He also emailed us an event calendar before we arrived. Dave's flat was full of character and very cosy. We loved the area and especially the restaurants below it which were first class. We enjoyed our time here and recommend it to others. Thanks Dave.

    Trish2015-10-12T00:00:00Z
  • Right from the start Dave was extremely helpful and an excellent host. The flat is in a great location and a good size for us. We have not used Airbnb before and were a little wary about what we were going to find but were very pleasantly surprised. The bedrooms are good sizes, comfy lounge and well equipped kitchen/bathroom.

  • Dave was really helpful and very friendly, and made our friends' visit a breeze. Listing was accurate and everything as described. Thanks very much!

    Graham2016-05-16T00:00:00Z
  • Dave welcomed us with a tour of the flat and a cup of tea, and a quick description of the neigbourhood and its amenities. The flat itself is as described - beautifully furnished, with a distinct French influence, quite cosy, and within an easy walk of the Botanics, Byres Road and the attractions therein, and a slightly longer walk to downtown Glasgow. We highly recommend the North Star (Italian Cafe up the street) and the Lucky Cottage (Chinese takeaway downstairs), and if we’d stayed more than one night we’d probably have a slew of other recommendations as well. This flat is our first choice for our next trip to Glasgow.

    Rick2015-09-21T00:00:00Z
  • Dave gave us explicit directions on how to reach his rental and was very accommodating even though we were later than expected. The location was great... an easy walk to everything we wanted to see. He also gave us an excellent map and marked down the best places to eat. We felt right at home in the comfy apartment, especially with his eclectic style of decorating. The West End still has a few gritty areas but I felt very comfortable in his neighborhood. Very pleased with the whole experience as it was our first time with Air B&B.

This stylish 1 bedroom apartment is set in a quiet Victorian townhouse, 2 mins from Byres Rd. It is entirely south-facing, has loads of character & easily accommodates 4 people. Way better than a hotel & perfectly located for exploring the West End!
Set within a Victorian townhouse, this newly renovated one bedroom apartment is perfectly located in the heart of the West End, less than 2 minutes on foot from Byres Road. This vibrant & stylish area boasts a plethora of bars, cafés, restaurants & interesting independent shops. The apartment itself is entirely south-facing & delightfully peaceful as it overlooks the rear garden. With 4 metre tall ceilings, original decorative cornicework & huge period sash windows, the open-plan Living / Dining / Kitchen space is flooded with natural light. All modern conveniences are provided in the fully integrated kitchen. A good quality, very comfortable, Habitat sofa converts to a double bed for additional sleeping space in the living area. Also on this level you will find a luxury modern shower room, and a utility area which houses a washing machine (with dryer). A cast-iron spiral staircase winds up to a lovely bedroom & dressing room, with lots of hanging space & storage. This cosy apartment is perfect for any length of stay in Glasgow & offers a stylish & more interesting alternative to a hotel room!
The West End of Glasgow is a beautiful, leafy, safe neighbourhood where the University of Glasgow is located. It's a vibrant area with great energy, beautiful buildings & everything is within a very short stroll from the apartment. At the Botanic Gardens, there's always something going on. You can book a sofa at the The Grosvenor Cinema on Ashton Lane (& bring your own booze!) The best Indian food is to be found either at The Wee Curry Shop (also Ashton Lane) or Mother India cafe on Argyle Street. Our favourite haunts for a drink are Tennents Bar (great for real ales) or Oran Mor (converted church with beautiful timber interior) - both are on Byres Road. Ashton Lane offers numerous bars, but the Ubiquitous Chip (upstairs) has an open fire & a roof terrace & is great for people-watching. For live traditional music, head to The Park Bar or The Ben Nevis on Argyle Street. Waitrose & Tesco supermarkets are both found on Byres Road.
  • Ken met us at the flat and was so helpful. He gave us a great reccomendation for dinner and made sure we knew where everything was. The flat is compact but immaculate and perfect for the two of us. The decoration was fresh and modern and I loved the spiral stairs! It's a great location really close to a range of restaurants bars and attractions. Would definetely recommend for anyone who is looking for a weekend away or a base to explore Glasgow. The croissants and juice were a nice touch too!!! Thanks Ken

  • This was my first time using Airbnb and I would thoroughly recommend it. Ken's apartment was fantastic and far better than any hotel - bright, spacious, warm and very well-appointed. Ken was a great host and provided everything you would need for a short trip. He even contacted me before I arrived to provide information on the cheapest taxi from the airport. The accommodation was close to the Metro and a wide range of excellent bars and restaurants. I was only in Glasgow for two days but accommodation had everything I needed and I will definitely be back.

A beautiful double bedroom with comfy super king size bed. Great location close to transport links and within walking distance of Hillhead, the heart of Glasgow's West End. WIFI available. Help yourself to a tasty breakfast. Make yourself at home.
Light, bright and airy second floor flat in a traditional flat in the Kelvindale area of Glasgow's west end.
There is an amazing amount to do and see in Glasgow's westend - Botanic Gardens, Kelvingrove Park, Kelvingrove Art Gallery, Riverside Museum, Glasgow University, Ashton Lane. My flat is an easy stroll to the main attractions, bars and restaurants. It is also ideally located for the SECC the Hydro, and Glasgow University which are close by. I'm also 10 mins walk from Gartnaval Hospital. I would recommend that you visit the People Make Glasgow website for some inspiration before your trip - it is the best website to get all the info on the top sights and events taking place in Glasgow.
  • Nikki is an outstanding host. We felt home at here apartment immediately and she was very caring. She showed us a bit around and even took us to the airport the day we left. She is a lovely person and her flat is really comfortable. Located in the westend, it's perfect for city strolls. Would definitely stay with nikki again!

  • Nikki is a great host, she's warm, welcoming and helpful and she made us feel very at home. She left in our room water and snacks. We could use the kitchen and dinning room and there was everything for our morning breakfast. We had a very nice conversation with Nikki about Glasgow attractions and she provided maps and guide. In the morning we found one paper with buses and underground direction. I would highly recommend this listing to anyone looking for a place to stay

  • Our first Airbnb stay and it really couldn't have been better. Nikki was friendly, welcoming and hospitable and a great host. Her second-floor flat was clean and comfortable (loved the king-sized bed) and just a short drive / 15 minute walk from the vibrant west-end of Glasgow wih its beautiful buildings, galleries, restaurants, boutique shops and low-key boho vibe. If (when!) we return to Glasgow, we know where we'd like to stay.

    Euan2017-09-17T00:00:00Z
  • First of all, Nikki is just an amazing host. We stayed for 8 nights there and it was a very good time. The flat is as described and is very clean and tidy. The flat is strategically well located not far from the city centre and the Great Western Road is very near which leads directly to the Highlands and the Loch Lomond. Glasgow is a great city with very helpful and amicable people. As mentioned, we were really happy with Nikki as a host: Breakfast was provided by her and there was always something in the fridge that we could eat, for example she offered us hand-caught salmon which tastes really delicious. She gave us lots of local insights e.g. where to eat, what to do and how to get there. You really feel that it is important to Nikki to give the guest a good impression of Scottish life. Thank you so much for being our host!

    Maximilian2016-05-24T00:00:00Z
  • Awesome. Great, friendly host who made me feel welcomed right away. Bed was comfy. And location was good to exploring the west end or getting a bus to city centre. Loved it.

A spacious & comfortable double room in the heart of Glasgow's vibrant & leafy west end, near the University of Glasgow & many other attractions. Its a historic red sandstone tenement flat, full of character, & shared by a welcoming & professional family of three - Anu, Duncan & baby Maia (she's 15 months old, & completely adorable). Comfy double bed, plenty of storage, clean shared bathroom, use of well-equipped kitchen, wifi, tea/coffee & a good help-yourself breakfast selection.
Its a private room in a shared flat - we live there as well. We're very respectful of personal space so you should have the privacy, peace, & space you need, but we're around if you have any questions, or if you just want to say hi! The room has good storage space, a desk with lots of natural light, a bean bag, plenty of power-points and European electrical adapters, a full-length mirror, a very comfortable double bed with good king-sized covers (so no cold feet!) Its clean & tidy, & in a good state of repair. There's automatic central heating, & there are plenty of blankets if you get cold. There is good phone signal and WiFi in the house. The house is largely baby & child-friendly, and we can supply an extra mattress or a cot for anyone travelling with a child. It's best to message us to discuss that before-hand though.
It's pretty with lots of green spaces and traditional tenement houses. It's right in the heart of the West End (Glasgow's other city centre!), close to supermarkets and parks and pubs (lots) & museums & some shops too. The University of Glasgow is just here, so are most of the other top destinations in the West End. Its also very quick, cheap & easy to get to the city centre by train, underground or bus.
  • First of all, Anu and Duncan were incredibly nice and hospitable. They really made my friend and I feel at home. They have a beautiful baby girl named Maya, and we had the best time interacting with her! The bedroom is beautifully decorated as well as the whole house. They provided us with a wonderful guide they typed of suggestions they had, and it came in handy. When we arrived, they had cups and a jug of water ready for us as well as towels, charging adapters, and our keys to the house. The location was a walkable distance to the Glasgow Botanic Gardens and Kelvingrove Museum and tons of cute shops, cafes, and restaurants. I highly recommend visiting Anu, Duncan, and Maya! :)

  • Duncan's knowledge about the local area, particularly public transport and places to eat and drink was amazing!! Great location, close to public transport into the town centre. A very sweet young family who made us feel very welcome.

  • We had the biggest & most well decorated room we ever had, the bed was real comfy too! The neighborhood is great : museums, parks and cool restaurants and bars all at walkable distances. Breakfast was included so it was really cool! Duncan, Anu and their daughter were sweet and very interesting to talk to.

    Ilies2017-08-15T00:00:00Z
  • Duncan and Anu are great hosts! And little Maia a really well behaved girl. Our stay there was great, despite massive raining. They made sure we were comfortable and knew our way around, and had great tips and recommendations for places to see and where to eat out. The room is big and comfortable and everything in the flat is very well arranged. Definitely one to highly recommend!

    Vanesa2017-07-11T00:00:00Z
  • Lovely spacious room, Duncan and Anu are lovely hosts - welcoming but unobtrusive. Good local amenities and transport connections into the centre of Glasgow. Nice to be able to use this kitchen and that breakfast is included. Great value.

A 20 minute walk along a delightful canal path will take you to Anniesland or Westerton train stations and from there to Glasgow Queen Street or Central stations.
This warm, modern apartment has a large open-plan living/dining/kitchen area. The double bedroom has a lovely en-suite shower room.
The apartment is situated near the end of a cul-de-sac in a quiet residential area so there is no through traffic. There is ample free parking at the front and the tree-lined canal at the back. I often see foxes and squirrels in the garden.
  • Wonderful stay. Ashley was very welcoming and friendly, definitely an excellent host. He also gave us advice about places to visit, and we enjoyed talking to him about common interesting subjects. The place is clean, lovely and cozy. • Ashley was the most helpful and accommodating host! When my friend and I asked him about the best way to get to his place from Edinburgh, he offered to give us a ride since he happened to be in the area. Then once at his place (which was a comfortable apartment filled with natural light and complete with great wifi, a comfy bed, and a great shower), he made us fresh ground coffee, shared amazing desert with us, and he gave me muscle ointment for my back. We had a really lovely chat with him in the evening, he helped us book a taxi for our flight in the morning, and he had breakfast for us in the morning. Could not have asked for a better experience!

This is a comfy double room in our home which less than 10 mins walk from the train station and bus routes and just 5 mins walk from the beginning of the West Highland Way, shops, cafes and restaurants making what we hope will be an ideal stop over for visitors embarking on the WHW or on business. As well as the hostess, there is a large and very chilled dog here and we look forward to welcoming a diversity of visitors, however sorry we are unable to accept bookings from single men at this time.
The location is quiet and relatively private as there is no through traffic and no properties overlooking. The house is a maisonette over 2 levels with the guest room being on the ground floor and bathroom being upstairs. The living room is large and bright and is semi open plan to the galley style kitchen where guests are welcome to help themselves to tea, coffee and drinking water at any time. (continental breakfast provided). Off the living room there is a small south facing balcony which guests are welcome to use. The guest room is freshly decorated with a wooden floor and all the bedding and towels are new and of high quality (duvet and pillows are hypo allergenic). Drawer space can be made available on request and there are wall mounted hooks with hangers available. Bicycles are welcome and can be stored securely in the garage which is below the house. The bathroom is small but fresh and as well as necessary facilities has bath with overhead electric shower. Hot water is always available via combi boiler.
We are 5 minutes walk from the start of the West Highland Way and beautiful moorland walks/cycles are adjacent to the house with walks around Milngavie Reservoir and Mugdock Country Park also close by so this is a perfect location for anyone who loves the outdoors and with our proximity to all public transport routes, equally so for anyone seeking an easy commute to the centre or west end of Glasgow.
  • The short stay at Ailsa-Mary's place was extremely pleasant. Ailsa-Mary is a great host, very friendly and helpful - giving directions and restaurants recommendations. Her home is cosy, beautiful and clean. Not to mention her dog is a star!

Elevated ground floor tenement flat in very well placed West End. Transport links excellent. Many places to eat and drink nearby. Very stylish and funky place to stay - with options to use it as a base to go and see the city itself or further afield.
My flat is in the West End and it's very close to Dumbarton Road which has numerous eating and drinking establishments. It is a red sandstone ground floor elevated tenement with lovely green outlooks to the front and rear of the property. I stay in the flat myself and will be there (when not at work!) so can personally vouch for how lovely it is.
My street has a primary school and a church on it. There are a range of types of properties nearby and many different types of people live in the area. It's generally quite quiet at night and where my dining table is in the living room is a perfect spot for watching the world go by! I have Sainsbury's and Marks and Spencer in a retail park 10 minutes walk from here also so that is most convenient. Broomhill is an area very close to me which has some lovely coffee shops and restaurants. Also a selection of independent Scottish businesses too which I would always be keen to support. Great transport links too!
  • Stop looking as this place is everything you want, it's super clean, super easy to find, plenty of parking and beyond helpful host. Will 100% be back :)

Comfortable double room (or triple if you fancy a hammock!) in a traditional tenement flat. Perfect location in Glasgow’s vibrant and bohemian west end (restaurants, bars, cafes and culture aplenty). 1 minute walk from Ashton Lane and Hillhead underground (8 minute ride to city centre) and a few minutes’ walk from Glasgow University. Pet friendly.
The bedroom has a comfortable double bed and a large wardrobe with plenty of space. There is also a hammock and giant bean bag for lounging! Located at the rear of the flat, the room is quiet and gets plenty of sunlight.
The west end is the most sought after location in Glasgow – brimming with restaurants, cafes, bars and boutique shops. The flat is right next to Byres Road, Ashton Lane, Glasgow University and Botanical Gardens. A short walk away is Kelvingrove Art Gallery and Museum, Hunterian Museum, Riverside Transport Museum and Finneston which is also a great for restaurants and bars.
  • Beautiful flat. Very clean and in a great location with good transport links. Lots of shops, cafes and restaurants nearby. It's a residential street so you're not disturbed at night but equally there are lots of great bars and pubs a short walk away. Perfect!

  • Had a lovely stay in this homey apartment. The location was the factor that enticed me as it was really close to all the amenities, the metro and the touristic parts of the west end of Glasgow, as well as being close to all the cute bars of Ashton Lane! The host - Anna - was great at giving advice of where to go and pointed out some really cool off the beaten track places! The apartment itself was really welcoming and had all the necessities - especially a great kitchen where I had everything I needed to whip up a great dinner! Would definitely recommend!

    Christine2017-06-04T00:00:00Z
  • Firstly thank you to Anna for everything. From Check-in to Check-out was smooth and lovely. The location of the property is conveniently located in west end. Less than 5mins walk from the subway and bus stops. The house is beautiful and very picturesque, with lovely décor by Anna. It is on the first floor, and at the time I had access to my room, and all the common areas (living, bathroom, kitchen). The room was very clean and as described in the advert. The room looks at the rear of the property with sliding windows. The bathroom was very clean and tidy. There was basic breakfast offered which incl. corn flakes, bread, tea, coffee, spread. Anna is very passionate about Glasgow and Scotland, and provided some amazing advice on how to experience the city as a local, and recommended some lovely places to chill and dine. Thank you once again Anna, I will surely come visit and stay again if I do come back to Glasgow.

  • This cosy flat in Glasgow is just what we needed for a long weekend away. Honestly everything about it we loved, from the location (super accessible, literally a 5 minute walk from Kelvinbridge subway and streets of cafes and coffee shops), to the company. Andrew, Leo and co are a great, friendly bunch of people. They gave us some great recs for vintage shops and food. I would recommend staying here to anyone who wants to be close to the beautiful University of Glasgow and wandering around pretty parks. Also Paesano's pizza is so good and it's around the corner. NOM. Thanks so much guys!! :)

A lovely, comfortable apartment in the heart of Glasgow's leafy West end with private garden and parking space. 2 mins walk from Glasgow University, 5 mins to Hillhead underground; 2 bedrooms, study, kitchen, bathroom, Gas heating, Virgin TV & WIFI
Situated on the lower floor [aka basement] of a Victorian townhouse conversion, this is a great flat for anyone visiting Glasgow for a weekend break, longer holiday or on a short contract. The property is particularly well placed for visiting academics or parents visiting students of Glasgow university, being opposite the University's Hetherington Language Centre. The living room has two large, comfortable sofas and a flatscreen TV. The kitchen is relatively small, but very well designed to include a dishwasher, making the space very manageable with space for two to eat. Alternatively there is a full size dining table in the living room which seats 4 [extending to 6]. The master bedroom is spacious and comfortable, the 2nd bedroom can be furnished with sofa or bed and there is an additional room for use as a study too. The flat is freshly furnished and decorated throughout, very well equipped, comfortable and cosy. Upon arrival you'll find some treats and basics to make yourself at home, milk, bread, eggs, wine, beer etc. At very least you'll be able to have a drink, make a snack and breakfast if you arrive late at night. You should want for nothing, but if you we've missed something, please just let us know.
The West end of Glasgow is by far the most desirable area of town. Within 5 minutes walk you have countless great restaurants, lots of foodshops - including Waitrose and M&S Simply Food and many other interesting cafés and boutiques.
  • Sarah's place was perfect for our stay in Glasgow. The apartment was just lovely and had everything needed for a perfect stay. I arrived in Glasgow a little early and Sarah accommodated am early check in for me which was very kind! There was milk, butter, coffee and fruit on arrival which was a nice treat and just what I needed after my journey. Sarah was really nice to chat to and was a very helpful host. I can highly recommend her place for a short or long stay in Glasgow!

    Karen2017-04-10T00:00:00Z
  • A fabulous location just off Byers Rd. Sarah was ultra helpful, even messaging while on her holiday. The flat was clean, well-furnished and had real character - when we walked in the 70s-ish wooden doors were all shut and we wondered what we were going to find - they don't do justice to the size & quality of the rooms and the pleasant, homely feel of the whole flat. Kitchen equipment was great, my husband appreciated the Tunnock's teacake touch! The travel cot and highchair were fantastic for our 9 month old, thanks Sarah. Bear in mind if you have any kids or mobility issues this is a basement flat with a flight of relatively narrow stone steps, also on quite a hill off Byers Rd though there are alternative less steep routes. We were fine with this but just a heads up. The outside space was great to sit in with a glass of vino under the semi-summery sky. We'd definitely stay here again. Thanks Sarah!

    Emma2017-05-12T00:00:00Z
  • This was a nice comfortable flat in a fantastic location, only a few minutes walk to so many restaurants, cafes and shops. Sarah was a lovely host, very friendly, helpful and generous, not only providing tea, coffee and milk, but other breakfast foods and treats as well. Thank you Sarah, we had a great week.

    Hilary2016-07-27T00:00:00Z
  • Sarah accommodated my late arrival and showed me around the flat, which was very kind. She also left some bread, milk, etc., which was a thoughtful gesture. The apartment was as described and pictured, a converted basement in a small building, which made it a bit dark and cold during the day even when the sun was out. Its location was very convenient to Glasgow university. If you are looking for an easy walk to the uni without a lot of frills, this is a good place.

    Dahlia2016-07-30T00:00:00Z
  • Sarah was very efficient & tried to remedy the problem with the toilet & wifi but not with any success for our stay.

    Sue2016-10-02T00:00:00Z

  • Sarah was a perfect host. She met us at a convenient time and showed us round the lovely flat pointing out all the features important to a comfortable and safe stay. We were left all that we needed for breakfasts plus a welcome bottle of wine . The beds were very comfortable and the location was perfect for our gourmet/museum/gallery flying visit to Glasgow. We will stay there again if we make a return visit.

A LITTLE FURTHER AFIELD, about 25 minutes walk away, will take you down to the River Clyde. Along the waterfront there is plenty to do from visiting museums (Riverside Museum of Transport, Tall Ship Museum, Science Centre) to attending shows and exhibitions (Scottish Exhibition and Conference Centre, Clyde Auditorium, IMAX cinema) a tour around the BBC Scotland building or even a trip on the Waverley, the last seagoing paddle steamer in the world. In the direction of town you can visit the National Trust Tenement House, Charles Rennie Mackintosh's Glasgow School of Art and Willow Tea Rooms, as well as a range of art galleries, cinemas, theatres, clubs, music venues and world class shopping!
  • My boyfriend and I had a great time staying with Lucy. After our many Airbnb experiences, Lucy's place has been one of the better one; huge space, bright sunny room, with cabinet to store our stuff, chairs and table in the room, and clean shower/toilet (the heated floor was really nice!). Lucy was nice and friendly. We tried few of the restaurants she suggested and liked it. She even helped us to print out our flight ticket which saved us lots of trouble. We have only good things to say about this accommodation. Thanks Lucy for hosting us!

  • We had a wonderful time at Lucy’s lovely home and cannot recommend it highly enough. It’s a real gem of a place! We stayed in the Hamilton room which was extremely comfortable, stylish and cosy. The entire apartment is beautifully appointed and Lucy’s creative and artistic flair perfectly complement this classic Glasgow tenement building. She has an obvious passion for what she does and this is apparent in her thoughtful, unfussy attention to detail. Basically she thinks of everything to make your stay as comfortable and easy as possible. There’s a great word in German that captures the warm, friendly, laid-back atmosphere with which Lucy imbues her home: Gemütlichkeit. The location, just off Great Western Road in the city's West End, provided the perfect base for our visit home to see family and friends over Christmas. A plethora of great cafes, bars, restaurants, iconic tourist spots - Kelvingrove Park and Art Gallery, the Botanic Gardens, Glasgow University, Byres Road and Ashton Lane, to name but a few - and transport links (underground, buses and taxis), are all on your doorstep or within short walking distance. Lucy is a fantastic host and made us feel so welcome in her home over the festive hols. We could’ve happily moved in permanently and were sad when our time there came to an end. Lucy is so friendly, helpful and kind and couldn’t do enough for us. She spontaneously handmade a stunning festive decoration for our room and a present (from Santa?!) was even waiting for us outside our bedroom door on Christmas morning! Thanks so much for everything Lucy. We will definitely be back to visit you again!

  • I absolutely loved our stay in the Hamilton room! Lucy was a wonderful host and great to communicate with. The location is fantastic and i would recommend this over staying right in the centre! The West End is great and the underground is a very short distance from Lucy's place making it so convenient to pop into town (only 2 stops!). Lastly the room was large, comfortable and stylish. I can't say enough good things about this place and its host Lucy. Book!

  • Wonderful in all respects. I loved the house and felt extremely welcome there. Lucy had thought of everything and there were all sorts of things provided to make one's stay that much more enjoyable. The neighbourhood was also a real treat. A great place to be with wonderful parks, a river and lively and unusual shops and restaurants.

You’ll love my place because of it's unique location. This garden room is situated right on the River Kelvin. This is your own little oasis in the heart of the bustling and vibrant West End - a private conservatory bedroom with en suite shower room & own front door! A short walk from Glasgow University, Kelvingrove Art Gallery & Museums and right beside Kelvinbridge Underground. Surrounded by bars, restaurants & shops.
This was originally our garden room until we realised what a wonderful space it would be for AIRBNB! We have therefore installed a new en suite shower , king size bed, small table and chairs and compact food preparation area which includes a small sink, fridge, microwave and grill, toaster, kettle, crockery, cutlery and glassware. The room has full glass doors which lead onto the riverside garden and BBQ area. (Please note the owners will have some access to the garden during spring / summer but you are very welcome to join us or you can screen off the view of the garden to protect your privacy while keeping the great view of the river!)
Glasgow's West End is famous for it's vibrant atmosphere and multiculturalism. Within a few minutes walk you will find numerous bars and restaurants, music and arts events, museums, historical buildings, speciality food and wine stores and a huge variety of shops right beside the peace and green of Kelvingrove park, there is something for everyone.
  • Ann's place is really special -- my boyfriend and I are already dreaming of when we can come back. It's in the Kelvinbridge area which is full of cool shops, restaurants and theaters. The place itself is so impeccably decorated, has a big private outdoor space and looks out directly over the river. Honestly, I wanted to move in. Ann herself was lovely with great recs and super easy check-in/out process. If you're staying in Glasgow, stay here!

    Jackie2017-04-19T00:00:00Z
  • Hands-down the best room to wake up in glasgow! The entire two side walls were big windows looking out to the river, and you can spot King Fishers (Ann provided the goggles too!). The room was clean and had everything you need: a microwave, tea, coffee, electric pot, etc. Would DEFINITELY stay there again! :)

  • Ann's place makes us feel at home with the amazing view of nature from the glass doors and the calming sound of river flowing. The facilities are new and adequate; and the place is located very near to the subway which can connect us to all parts of the city. Ann is a warm and lovely host and she makes us feel at home very quickly. Her place is highly recommended if you want a quiet and relaxing place , but at the same time to enjoy the vibrant neighbourhood.

  • Perfect for any trip to Glasgow, sample tranquil leafy Scottish hospitality a stone throw from the heart of the west end.

  • My friend and I had a lovely stay at Ann's place. Most relaxing outlook onto the river (from the bed!) and a lovely garden/patio area to enjoy. The studio room had everything we needed for a short staycation in the city. Happily Ann was at home on the premises and quick to assist when we had a problem with the electricity tripping and even refunded us some money for the inconvenience. Great place to chill. • Top spot you Won't find a funky pad liked this everyday!! also it's very close to all the Glasgow has to offer. Highly recommend this place

  • Ann was very welcoming, quick to respond after our initial booking to confirm our arrival time, and messaging all the details we'd need for our stay. Ann greeted us on arrival and provided a brief tour of the apartment before leaving us to settle in and enjoy. And enjoy we did! Fantastic location with a beautiful view of the River Kelvin thanks to the apartment's wall to wall windows. Within walking distance of Glasgow's university district, Byres Road, Kelvingrove Park, the Kelvingrove Museum... What's not to love?! The studio itself is beautifully furnished and modern - the shower is great. Nice touch to provide fresh milk in the fridge for teas and coffees and a wee bowl of fruits and breakfast bars. Just lovely. Thank you again!

Bright and comfortable private double room in a traditional tenement flat at the edge of Glasgow's historic West End. Free parking, & great bus links to Glasgow West End & the City Center. You can also easily walk to the West End in around 20-30 mins through Victoria Park (we do this often with our dog), or via Dumbarton Road. We are also a few minutes walk from Scotstoun Stadium, which is very handy for rugby games and other sporting events.
Private double room in a traditional Glasgow tenement flat; high ceilings, large room with lots of natural light. Unlimited WiFi, dvd player, and cable TV in your room. Feel free to borrow a dvd from our collection. Plenty of storage space, and a drop down writing/eating/laptop surface - a foldable bed-tray is also available. Shared kitchen, bathroom, and living area with dining table. Laundry facilities, free parking, and excellent road & public transport links.
We have excellent access to green space (Victoria Park, Nature Walk, cycle network route), and are close to many areas of natural beauty - we love to visit Loch Lomond & Trossachs National Park, which is roughly 30-35 mins drive away, but trains and buses do run to Balloch station if you don't have a car, this station is in the National Park. The transport links near us are fantastic, & there are plenty of shops/cafe's etc nearby.
  • Kelly and Neve were very welcoming, extremely accommodating and wonderful hosts. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend them to my friends. Their apartment is lovely and the location is ideal!

  • My friend and I travelled through Scotland and stayed with these two lovely ladies for our last night in Glasgow. We were warmly welcomed - very sweet how they have everything prepared for their guests including breakfast. Thank you so much!

  • A friend and I enjoyed a warm welcome and a lovely night's stay with Kelly, Neve and Mika. They were very accommodating as to when we could arrive, as we had events scheduled for that day. The flat was beautifully arranged, with a private double room to one side, so it felt out of the way, and all necessary amenities organised and well prepared for our arrival. Breakfast served up an array of fresh fruits, cereals, toast with a multitude of toppings, and even brioche rolls. These were made available at our leisure and there was plenty of tea and coffee to keep us hydrated during our stay. In the evening Kelly and Neve recommended we visit a local tapas bar named La Bodega. This was an amazing experience, a cosy ambience with live jazz playing, great food and wine. This little gem in an out-of-the-way part of the city was a wonderful surprise that capped of a great day for us in Glasgow. Kelly and Neve were very gracious hosts, allowing us plenty of liberty in their home. The atmosphere was friendly and sociable, and we were very happy to spend time chatting during our stay. The third member of the house, Mika, very much enjoyed being scratched behind the ears, belly rubs, and would sneak an occasional kiss as a sign of her appreciation. This was the most lovely experience I could have hoped for for my first Airbnb stay. It was fun and brilliantly convenient for our short stay in Glasgow. Many thanks ^_^ xx

  • Kelly and Neve were great hosts, very warm and welcoming and we immediately settled in and felt comfortable in their home. Their dog (Mika) was also lovely and well behaved and will give you space if you want it but she also loves attention if it is given to her. We have no complaints to make, the apartment was extremely clean, the room is spacious and airy and the bed is wonderfully comfy. We had a great time and wished we could stay longer!

  • Kelly's place was just what we needed for our final nights in Scotland. It was cozy and clean. Kelly was very helpful with any questions we had and was easily reachable. Breakfast was provided and was just what you needed before starting the day.

  • Kelly was very welcoming and helpful. The apartment was lovely and clean and in a perfect location close to the airport and the rental car yards.

  • Kelly's place was great! They were very friendly and accommodating to our arrival in the evening, they had fruit, tea, coffee, and cereal avaliable to us for breakfast and the room was very clean and comfortable. They had lots of information on the city and Scotland in general with maps to look at. I highly recommend Kelly has a host.

I have a spare double room in my own house for rent. There is a television with built in dvd player and a tivo box in the bedroom. I will be here when I have guests. I live in a quiet cul de sac 8 miles from Glasgow city centre with transport links nearby. Breakfast will be cereal/ porridge , toast , tea/ coffee and juice. Free wifi available.
This is a quiet, residential area with very little traffic as the street is a small cul de sac.

Private living room with double mattress and 2 couches (can be put together to make bed or large cushions put together on floor to make bed). House is a Victorian 3-bedroom tenement flat (ground floor). Very cosey, homely, lived-in with gorgeous back garden. Location is ideal, quiet, safe, walkable from city centre, great transport links. FREE PARKING. Kelvingrove Park, Botanic Gardens, Byres Road 2 nearby. Underground 7 mins.
It's been our family home since 1987 and my parents still live here. When they're in India (usually 3 months a year) my friend John looks after the place.
The neighbourhood is perfectly located - walk to all the excitement of the West End, University, Kelvingrove Park, Art Gallery/Museum, Botanic Gardens, Byres Road or even into the city centre. It's a quiet West End street filled with greenery and nice buildings. Bars, cafes, restaurants etc are just minutes away on Great Western Rd, Queen Margaret Drive, Byres Road or Ashton Lane.

An oasis in the bustling west end of Glasgow! Perfect for work, conferences, tourism or gigs at the Hydro. Equipped to the highest standard to ensure you have a great stay. Why go for a room when you can have your own quality space in the Westend!
We have tried to create a space for you that gives you everything you need - without having to share or have the limitations of a hotel room. Our studio flat has everything you will need for a great and comfortable stay in Glasgow - business or pleasure. The studio has been completely renovated and fitted with new, high quality furniture and fittings to ensure you enjoy your stay. We have also installed a brand new central heating system to ensure a cosy stay regardless of the season. The flat has been decorated in a contemporary style with a bit of a quirkiness and equipped with washing machine, dishwasher, microwave, fridge freezer, oven and hob, WiFi, television, WiFi enabled Blu-ray / DVD player. In addition there is an ironing board and iron if you need to smarten up for that business meeting or special occasion. The bathroom has shower, basin and WC - all in new contemporary style. The high quality wallbed provides a luxurious sleep but away when not in use to give even more space. Relax on the leather sofa and watch TV when you want to unwind. The flat is very quiet and peaceful. The flat is south facing and gets lots of afternoon / early evening sunlight - making it a great space to hang out. You will have access to a small patio area just outside where you are very welcome to enjoy sitting out!
Our Studio is perfectly placed in the heart of the bustling and vibrant West End of Glasgow. The flat is located in the basement of a very grand converted Victorian Townhouse in one of the most exclusive streets in the Westend. Only 5 to 10 mins walk from all the shops, bars and restaurants on and around Byres Road and a similar walking distance from the upmarket Hyndland area with it's boutiques, cafes and restaurants. Perfectly placed for access to the city centre and beyond via Hillhead Subway Station on Byres Road. Yet when you are in the flat you can enjoy a peaceful, quite environment - perfect for chilling out!
  • This was the second time I stayed here - a great flat in the nicest part of Glasgow! Colin was a great host and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this flat.

    Nadia2017-08-26T00:00:00Z
  • Colin's place was perfect for our short two night stay in Glasgow. We very much appreciated his thoughtfulness in providing milk, coffee and croissants for the morning. The entire flat was very well equipped with anything you would typically need. Great location. Loved the restaurant Cail Bruich which was within walking distance.

  • Lovely basement studio/flat with pull out bed. Good size for two people. We felt instantly at home. Great location in Glasgow's West end. The neighbourhood felt very safe.

    Claire2016-11-06T00:00:00Z
  • Colin's flat is just as photographed, a compact studio flat with a murphy bed. It was impeccably clean and well-laid out. The kitchen contained all the appliances you might need and Colin even left us a few groceries to get us started. Dundonald Road is a quiet residential street but it is a quick 5-minute walk down the hill to all the hustle and bustle of the Westend (shops, restaurants, pubs, grocery stores, etc.), so the location can't be beat. Colin was great at communicating and check-in was a breeze. I highly recommend this flat!

    Stephanie2017-01-22T00:00:00Z
  • Colin's flat was amazing! Very welcoming, homely and spotless. The location was brilliant, a quiet area of the West End close to many bars and restaurants.
