American Restaurant
“Incredible food, cocktails and atmosphere, the Alva Stone is tucked away in the historic Bookmill, where you can dine by a waterfall and enjoy a truly delcious meal. Go for a stroll around the Bookmill, grab a coffee or beer at Lady Killgrew's, then head to the Alva Stone for a lovely dinner. This is one of our favorite places in the region, Alva Stone at the Bookmill in Montague is only a 20 min (scenic) drive away, along lovely country roads. ”

“New American cuisine with an emphasis on local ingredients. One of the truly farm-to-table restaurants in the area. Beer and wine. Play some pool at the old-style pool table while you wait for your food.”

Restaurant
“This is one of Stan's and my favorite places. They have the best grass fed burgers and a nice menu with turkey and salmon burgers also available. The owner bakes the most wonderful deserts and as an homage to the buildings origins as a candy store she makes unbelievable chocolates. Again, the owner, Pam, is a personal friend!”

“You absolutely have to stop by this little gem. They started on 2nd St., hence the name, but moved to 4th Street a few years ago. People rave about their cinnamon buns! Besides the wonderful breads and cakes, they serve breakfast and lunch. Outdoor seating weather permitting.”
