Waterfall
“Hike along the river to see swim in pools above and below the falls. Hike can be tough but worth it. Guides are sometimes available in the small parking lot for a fee.”

“Funky and popular beach town. A great place to enjoy lunch at a beachside restaurant and check out the street vendors and souvenir shops. Check out the enormous FicusTree that grows right beside the road after leaving Montezuma and heading toward Cabuya. Keep going and you will get to the town of Cabuya and might want to stop and treat yourself to one of the delicious and decadent specialty coffee drinks at Panaderia Cabuya (see description in 'Food Scene' section above). ”

“After hiking the falls or walking through the butterfly farm try out the craft beers made by this couple. The street tacos alone will make you want to come back. Patio overlooks the jungle. ”

“Go-to spot for pizza!! Good prices, GREAT pizzas. The thin crust is awesome, the sauces will wake up any palette and it's a fun location right on the corner of the main drag in town. If you like fish, try the smokey!!! Sounds weird (smoked fish on a pizza??) and I normally don't love "smoked" food all that much...I LOVE THIS PIZZA!!! Be adventurous...try it!!”

“Open-mike night attracts local and visiting talent, and scheduled musicians are abundant as well. The party is often so hopping that it spills out into the street. Enjoy the food and drinks, as well, including pizza, salads, and more.”

Nature
“Stretched out like a carpet, large and small colored stones are an attraction to young and old. The cold little stream that exits the dense forest forms a small pool with big sandstone boulders. From these boulders, natives scrape the surface to obtain the raw material with which they make a natural skin mask (see recipe on the next page). It is a caress to the skin as well as a source of minerals. Explore the secrets of nature while having a fun time! A beautiful little adventure is to follow the creek upstream and find little cascades and pools in the narrow canyon - beautiful, silent, and green. ”

“They do have mostly everything you need. The prices are not cheap, if you have a lot to buy, it might be wise driving the 15 min. over the bumpy road to Cobano. ”
