Park
“Going on safari is a 'must do' for all travellers.... The Kruger National Park is a special place - for first timers, I would suggest a guided Safari, thereafter do a 'self drive' through the Kruger. Take care and respect the animal's space, they always have right of way. Pack your picnic basket and head off day tripping into the Park...”

“Hands down our most favourite restaurant. Especially as the veranda and deck have large shady trees. Also great for a winter's night inside by the fire. Originally the Hoedspruit Railway Station it's decor shows some relics from it's passed history. Consistently good food and the best pizza in town.”

“Visit Jessica Hippo at the Joubert's farm on the Blyde River. Here is a chance to see a hippo up close as never before and feed her tea and sweet potatoes! Normally know to be the most dangerous animal on the river; Jessica was rescued int the 2000 flood when separated from her mother and has been cared for by the Jouberts ever since.”

“A few kilometers out of town, heading north on the R40 is the very popular Thirsty Giraffe. The owner/chef hails from Mozambique and no one does roast chicken better. They serve a variety of Mozambican recipes, as well as more traditional grills and wood oven pizza. Heading north on the R40 from town, watch for the sign on your left, just after you pass Tshukudu Game Reserve (which will be on the right).”
