“Taphouse, by the Southern Highlands Brewing Co, invites visitors to enjoy true Highlands hospitality. Find them in the historic Toose's building on Argyle Street, where they serve all of their house craft beers on tap as well as hosting an invitational guest tap. You can try any of the beers on a custom-made beer tasting flight of four. Beer cuisine at its best and most delicious, two-hatted chef Michael Morrison (Regatta, Bistro Moncur, Onde) and his team prepare a classic, seasonal menu using the freshest ingredients supplied wherever possible by local producers. ”

“Bernie's is a fantastic replica of an Art Deco American diner. It feels like you have stepped back into the 1950s. Great cheese / chilli burgers, hot dogs, shakes and fries. Delicious splits and other down-home American favourites like peacan pie. Place your order, grab a slushie or soda, chill out in a big red booth and enjoy a slice of 1950s Americana right here in Moss Vale, NSW!”

“Great Inn serving up cook your own with open fireplaces for winter. However it's my favourite in Summer, when just wanting drinks, as you can sit on the deck and watch the beautiful sun go down. About a 10 min drive/cab ride. ”

“This is truly an unrecognised beauty spot. As you pull of the road you will find the carpark for the entrance to the Wingecarribee Walking Track across Bong Bong Common. There is interesting information about the first white settlement in the area as well as great information about the First People who were here for thousands of years prior to white settlement. THEN, go into Cecil Hoskins Nature Reserve and walk along the edge of the Wingecarribee River. ”

“Built in the late 1800s, the Post Office, located right next to the famous Moss Vale train station, linking Sydney to the Southern Highlands; it's a grand heritage listed building. In March 2017 restorations began to bring the old PO back to life. Today the Post Office has transformed into a great cafe. It is situated right in the midst of Moss Vale, which is no longer a little sleepy, country town but, a vibrant place to be with an array of boutiques, restaurants, and shops. Great French-inspired specials and delicious coffee. ”

“I love Hong Kong Chinese Restaurant! It's a traditional Chinese-Australian restaurant with all your favourites. The servings are huge, so be warned you might not get through what you've ordered. Serene, calming decor, and accessible bathroom. The service is always warm and hospitable.”
