African Restaurant

“South African restaurant with the kind of service and care you get from the chef and the team makes that warmth turn into friendship The food is the best on Lantau island and even better than most of the expensive soho restaurants I've been to And it's not part of a "chain" serving mass market food This is real home cooking at its best - recipes you will want to try to recreate but easier just have the great comfort and charm of being there enjoying the garden the sea and must of all the friends you will meet! Bobotie with the special rice, the tender chicken breast, and crispy succulent fish and chips are all served with great quality wine! And the best secret are the lovely potatoes that are au gratin and will have you begging for more! - they inspired me to come back several times for "seconds"! Great job whoever is in charge! I never write reviews but you were the best on my trip - hope to see you every chance I get!”

“Tuck into classic Turkish favourites, including baba ghanoush and shish kebabs, at this intimate dining spot. A firm favourite of our editor, the friendly staff and casual atmosphere will ensure you feel at home. Try to swing by on a Friday night for acoustic entertainment courtesy of Maryjane and Graeme. Turn left out of Mui Wo ferry pier, and within a matter of minutes you’ll be kicking back in a friendly atmosphere. Keen to test your general knowledge? Well, you’ll be pleased to know that quiz nights are held on the final Thursday of each month. China Bear, G/F Mui Wo Centre, 3 Ngan Wan Road, Mui Wo, Lantau, (+852) 2984 9720”

“Small place that doesn't take reservations. People go there for their thin crust pizza and their homemade pasta. Both are absolutely excellent. ”

“Mui Wo to Discovery Bay The path to Discovery Bay is well worn, and for good reason. Family friendly? Check – the entire route is paved. Picturesque views? You bet – on a clear day you’ll be feasting your eyes on views of Central, Mui Wo, and Peng Chau. Plus, you can take a dip in the ocean at Pai Tak Beach in Discovery Bay when you’ve crossed the finish line”
