We renovated the 2 story earthenware built in the Edo period and made it a guesthouse. It is not spacious, but there is a kitchen with an IH cooking heater on the ground floor while leaving an earthenware wall or a thick beam.Air conditioner and oil heater are also equipped for a comfortable stay. You can experience the sound insulation unique to the earthen warehouse, the coolness of summer, and the warmth of winter. It's in the northern part of Shiga Prefecture, so it's less crowded and more natural. Take your time away from the city. The temperatures have also calmed down and the cycling day and season has come to a close. I think it's beautiful if you take a bike through Lake Biwa at sunset. I want you to see the fantastic view of the lake dyed red in the sun. After seeing you, you'll spend the night talking to your student friends in pajamas. Relax without worrying about rough outfits! By the time it gets dark, we'll be buying food from the supermarket. You can surround the pan, have a drink, and plan for the old days and tomorrow. How about falling asleep after dark? Even if you stay up late at night, it's breakfast time when you get up. Lightly rinse the rest of yesterday's pan with rice cakes, bread for breakfast, etc. You can depart. In the tourist area, you can go around Kinomoto Jizoin (Joshinji Temple), Tomita Sake Brewery, Yamanji Sake Brewery, or just a short train ride to Nagahama. This is the most convenient and comfortable inn to enjoy in Biwa. There is no bed, but there is a futon so you can use it.

I am an Artist / Photographer born in Kyoto This house used to be one big guest house, but since this Covid19, I have stopped running the guest house and I started to live here with my wife and 2 kids. However I didn't want to quit so I left the good part. Private cypress bath and renovated rooms and made another entrance for the Guests. So now it is 2 separate house Please check the concept, The slope in front of the house is hard. There is stairs to go up, check online map before you book.
