“RAMEN! ’ll cut to the chase: the yuzu ramen at Afuri (阿夫利) is simply an excellent bowl of noodles, among the best you will find in Tokyo. The shio (salt) and shoyu (soy sauce) versions of the yuzu-flavored broth are light and refreshing, with a nice citrus taste. The grilled pork (cha shu) is excellent – the meat is tender and has a nice char color on the surface. Add a soft boiled egg, a Japanese leafy green called mizuna, some bamboo shoots, a piece of seaweed, and noodles made with water from Mt. Afuri in Kanagawa Prefecture and you have one delicious meal. 東京都目黒区上目黒1-23-1 Tokyo, Meguro-ku, Kamimeguro 1-23-1 Closest station: Nakameguro Open 11:00-5:00am”

Point of Interest
“An old establishment that recently underwent a renovation, it has a sauna and a cold water tub, as well as an outdoor bath. Come here to refresh after a jog along the Nakameguro River or after a shopping spree or drinking party. The wall art here is also worth checking out. Those with tattoos are allowed. The sauna is a bit small and the place can get crowded at times—the best time to visit is on weekday afternoons.”

“One of Tokyo's new hottest restaurants, Beard serves up casual, creative bistro fare inspired by the peripatetic chef's travels. It's a small place, so reservations are recommended. Sunday brunch, featuring dense ricotto hot cakes (¥1200), is popular, too; bookings aren't accepted for brunch, so turn up early or just before closing. ”
