Holiday Rentals in Nashoba Hill

Just booked in Nashoba Hill

Our cape is comfortable, cozy, and full of sunlight The kitchen is open to the dining and family rooms, and the acre yard is full of gardens. We are 10 minutes from historic Concord, MA and 40 minutes from downtown Boston and Cambridge. There is a local commuter rail into Boston as well. It is a good home base from which to explore colleges in the area, too.
One of our guest bedrooms is on the first floor with a full private bath, and the other bedroom and private full bath are on the second floor. The downstairs room has two twins, couches, and a TV for relaxing, and the upstairs room has a queen bed, small desk, and armchair for reading.
We are 10-minute walk from NARA park, which is a great place to walk and/or walk your dog, and there is a bike path nearby as well.
  • My sister and I stayed here for a quick one-night stay coming back from the Cape. Perfect location to explore Concord, Lexington, and of course Boston! We loved the vibe of Mary's well taken care of home and truly wished we could have extended our stay by a couple nights. Mary is also very flexible and prompt at communicating with her guests. She made everything so easy. Highly recommend!

  • Mary Favey and Richard have created a wonderful home. In every detail it is beautiful and full of loving attention. It was a retreat for us.we hope to see them again.

  • Mary Fahey was a wonderful and welcoming host. We were easily able to "make ourselves at home". The house is bright and inviting. The kitchen is well equipped. We had two rooms upstairs which were totally private. We felt like honored house guests. A perfect place to stay when visiting your children at the local boarding schools or colleges.

    David2017-10-14T00:00:00Z
  • Hospitality, a very clean and cosy home, interesting talks in the evening and everything necessary for a good breakfast...I can highly recommend a stay with Mary and Richard. Ideal place for daytrips, e.g. to Concord, Boston, Rockport...

  • Great location with a private room and bathroom with nice amenities like bottled water and coffee maker. Lorilei and her family were great hosts, I won't hesitate to stay here again when I'm in the area.

    Robert2017-10-26T00:00:00Z
  • Lorilei's guest suite was the perfect fit for my little family in our recent visit to the Boston area. She was so welcoming and accommodating, from my request for an early check in, to our toddlers playing together at check out, and offering fresh baked cookies during our stay! The location was perfectly close to the friends we were visiting and, with a relatively easy drive into the city, we couldn't have asked for much more. You are sure to enjoy your visit to the Boston area with a stay at Lorilei's home.

  • Lorelei & Eli gave us such a warm welcome that we felt part of their wonderful family. Their home is very pleasant, stacked with good books and interesting documents about their area and the state of Massachussetts. They were helpful in many ways and deserve my recommendation as excellent hosts!

    Jean-François2017-10-01T00:00:00Z
  • This Airbnb is great since it is so central to everything in the Littleton/Acton area. Shopping and highway entrances are very close by, as well. Lori and Eli are wonderful, caring hosts who welcomed me like an old friend! The house is quite clean and comfortable. The whole second floor was mine and the bed was great. Highly recommended!

  • Great location, easy to get to. Nice and clean.

    Tennyson2017-06-29T00:00:00Z
  • The listing and photos are accurate, the host had great communication, and there have been plenty of good reviews, but I didn't personally have that great of an experience. I would have much preferred to stay at a hotel and I'm a long-time Airbnb user. I feel that for the money, that the unit should be much higher quality and cleaner than it was. This place is like a cabin in the woods - it's older and rustic, but in more of a run down way. I think they put this together as cheaply as possible, though everything is minimally acceptable, so it's not like they are doing anything "wrong". They do have a house manual, so they have made efforts to make you comfortable and happy. The big negative for me was that there is a strong smell of animals...dogs used to live in here, and they try to cover this with equally strong air freshener and strong fragrance on the sheets and towels. Some people don't seem to be bothered by this, but I was very bothered by it. Due to the Strict cancellation policy, I couldn't leave or I would have. Also, the shower water pressure is very weak and the water smells of sulphur. Since you're next to the forest, there are a lot of bugs outside, so you walk through a swarm to get in the unit, but there are hardly any inside. The general quality of everything is low. On the plus side, you'll get more room than a hotel room, with a full kitchen, W/D, and it's nice to be next to the forest. The Wifi was excellent. For as much as they charge though, I think there should be some serious upgrades. I would expect to pay around 50/night for a place like this. They seem like nice, earnest people, so I feel bad writing this, but it's accurate and fair from my perspective. Again, there have been numerous good reviews, so it could just be me. Won't stay again though, thanks anyway.

    Zachary2017-08-12T00:00:00Z

  • Fan's place is great if you are looking for an affordable place to crash. He's super communicative and helpful. It's on the third floor, which was the only pain--lugging bags up. If you aren't skiddish about walking next to traffic without a sidewalk there are lots of places to explore to the south, otherwise, you'll probably want a car.

  • We had a perfect stay at Ivan's House. He gave us a clear description entering the house in case he was not at home. The house itself is very clean and provides you with all the necessities. We were four people sleeping in the room, space for the suitcases was not an issue during this time. Parking with the park was as well super easy. The slight negative thing was the couch, as it is a little bit short for 1.8 meter tall people. Nonetheless, the main bed is super comfortable. Overall we had a great stay and the room was excellent for charging our batteries for more exploring and travelling.

Sleep-provoking queen-sized bed, looking out onto lovely gardens, plus private sitting room. Furniture previously belonged to current owner's gr-grandfather. Bathroom overlooks gardens. (SPECIAL OFFER: can reserve as bedroom w/ bath for $115/nt).
The Eastlake Suite, w/its lovely sitting room which overlooks Westford Common, exudes the atmosphere of another age. The unique tiles in the headboard of the wonderfully comfortable queen-sized bed are in themselves a conversation starter - or stopper - as guests peer more closely at the tiles, trying to identify the story being depicted. Both the Eastlake Bedroom and its Sitting Room invite cozy conversation, reading and journal writing along with drinking of coffee, tea or wine - plus the best of HD TV, Blu-Ray, Bose speakers, etc. The original fireplaces in both rooms add to the ambiance. Bathrobes for guests' use are provided. (Special Offer: you can message the host if you're interested in reserving the Eastlake as a bedroom w/private bath, for $100, rather than as a Suite).
Fletcher Tavern sits in a quintessential New England village, just across the road from the Common. The church (whose gr gr gr gr grandfather owned a pew) is within easy walking distance, i.e., on the other side of the Common, as is the excellent Westford Library. The Westford Museum, just across the street, is open Sunday afternoons and gives a glimpse into the people and life during the early years of this New England village. Genealogical expertise is offered by the Museum which may be able to help guests make connections they have long been trying to make! There are MANY walking trails within Westford! Be ready to be pleasantly surprised! Additionally, just a five minute drive away is Forge Pond (actually more of a Lake) which was a sacred ceremonial ground for the early American Indians).
  • We stayed in mid May. The Tavern experience was exactly as described in the posting by Elizabeth Fletcher. Everything was steeped in charm, with antiques, carpets, flowers in the garden and New England ambience. The location is excellent for excursions into the surrounding countryside and adjacent states. Ms. Fletcher went out of her way to accommodate our needs, including getting up early to prepare a continental breakfast one day so that we could attend our son's early morning college graduation without missing a meal. Highly recommend the establishment and the opportunity to meet and converse with other guests. You won't be disappointed.

    Patrick2016-05-16T00:00:00Z
  • Elizabeth was an extremely friendly and welcoming host. The bed in the Eastlake room was even more comfortable than it looks. The bathroom is private but is about 20 feet down the hall, no big deal. The water pressure in the shower was phenomenal. The attached sitting room (accessed secretly through a door in the closet) adds a nice touch and Elizabeth provided some snacks and all the accouterments necessary to make a nice cup of tea or coffee. The house itself is great old New England home, a must if you have an interest in history. Breakfast was served in the elegant dinning room with a view of the beautiful garden. In warmer weather it's served outside. Breakfast was delicious both mornings and she happily accommodated our special requests.

    Michael2014-10-26T00:00:00Z
  • An absolutely charming 19th-Century buildings with a stunning garden. All of the charm of yesterday, with a well-organized host who provides clear guidance for guests about the use of the facilities. Just be aware that staying here requires considerable care when leaving the parking lot. The bushes and small trees flanking the driveway obscure sight lines to oncoming traffic from the left. It's not really possible to see the the high-speed traffic coming around the corner from your left through the dense vegetation at the edge of the road. And especially in the morning, those commuters are going *fast*. Guests with slower reflexes, or those who prefer to pull out into traffic more slowly would do well to have a different person driving when leaving the parking lot.

    Lew2015-08-05T00:00:00Z
  • A lovely room and the hospitality can't be any better. Elizabeth's breakfasts are fantastic and she is very helpful in finding tourist attractions. We will certainly return to this B&B.

    Mary2016-07-30T00:00:00Z
  • We felt at home from the moment we entered the driveway of the Fletcher Tavern. Elizabeth was in the vegetable garden, and immediately took us on a brief tour and made sure we were settled in our suite of rooms. The Eastlake Suite includes a private bath, a sitting room (complete with goodies to eat/drink), and a lovely bedroom. We had a very comfortable night, and our visit was capped by a delicious breakfast in the flower garden. We ate while entertained by hummingbirds, goldfinches, sparrows, and myriad other visitors to the colorful and fragrant garden. Elizabeth (our host) provided delicious food and stayed to chat with us about the tavern's history. Turns out we have a remote connection through our family to this lovely house, in which a Hamlin married a Fletcher many generations ago!

    Martha2015-08-02T00:00:00Z
  • Elizabeth was an incredible host. The Fletcher Tavern is a great place and I only wish I had more time to see the grounds. But I'm looking forward to it my next stay.

We live in a country-residential setting with farms and meadows for delightful walks.
  • Truly a gem! Dennis and Brenda are warm and inviting. The home is exactly what is pictured and then some. The fireplace and gas stove were def favorites! The screened in porch and the animals were a delight. The carpet is lush, they provide every amenity you could imagine. Linens, shampoos and soaps, the carpet is very cushiony, fireplace wood and tools, dishes. Brenda even left some cheeses and coffee to be enjoyed. I cannot day enough great things. The art work hanging is nice. She even shared her washer and dryer with me! Thank you, from my heart, for providing a home away from home. Until next time...

    Stacy2017-11-09T00:00:00Z
  • I stayed here for the month of September while waiting to close on my house. From the minute I pulled into the driveway, Brenda's cheerfulness won me over and it turned out to be a most magical place. The animals are present if you want to engage, or barely noticeable if you don't. The apartment was a very comfortable, well-lit, and roomy home away from home with just about every amenity I could want. The proximity to town and routes 2 and 495 made it extremely convenient for me. Brenda and Dennis were top notch hosts and I can't recommend them enough.

  • We had a wonderful time at Dennis and Brenda's place. They were so welcoming and wonderful to be around, and everything was as it was listed. The apartment is a great size and very clean, but what we loved most were the hosts and all of their farm animals! It was like a petting zoo and airbnb in one. We hope to come again soon. If you are looking for a place in Littleton or even just to get away for the weekend, definitely come here. You will not regret it!

    Rachel2017-10-08T00:00:00Z
  • Dennis and Brenda are lovely hosts, they are very responsive and helpful and just so nice and friendly. The apartment is quite large, was very clean and comfortable. I didn't ask but I think the bathroom floor may be heated (a nice comfort that I will have to incorporate into my own future home :) ) The neighborhood is very safe and quiet. I recommend.

Four-bedroom, three-bath lakefront house, with three decks, Japanese rock garden, private dock, with winter skiing and skating and ice fishing and summer swimming, moon-viewing boat, paddle boat and kayaks. The lake shore is two thirds conservation land; that plus boat engine power limit makes it a pleasant and beautiful place for year-round activities. Nashoba Ski Area only 5 minutes away with ski rentals, 4 lifts and tubing park. Hiking trails within walking distance. Historic Concord and Fruitlands a short drive away. Great biking from our doorstep past farmlands and horse pastures, hiking trails in the neighborhood include views of beaver lodges. For food lovers: Woods Hill Table, Le Lyonnais, Bamboo, 80 Thoreau, the historic Colonial Inn. For family outings: Crossroads Cafe, Kimball Farms (includes ice cream, mini-golf, pitch n' putt, bumper boats) For music lovers: Acton Jazz Cafe (live jazz and blues) and Concord Colonial Inn, Indian Hill (live classical performances) Littleton is on the commuter rail that takes you to downtown Boston (North Station) through Concord and Cambridge. Please note, however, our house is about 4 miles from the station. We list the house as having 4 beds because there is one in each of 4 bedrooms: 1 king size bed, 1 king-size futon, 1 double futon on a frame, and 1 double futon. In addition, there are two pull-out futon couches in the living room with bedding for them in the bathroom closets upstairs.
  • Molly was a wonderful host - from first enquiries to leaving the house, she was very quick to respond to any questions, friendly, and very helpful - providing useful information and recommendations. The house is a wonderful place to relax and chill out- very comfortable, welcoming, and has everything you could need. The area is lovely, with beautiful woods to explore, and the lake of course. I went to play the piano mainly and it was a great piano with wonderful views, and lots of inspiration around! Thank you again, Molly. Hope you have many more happy guests here!

  • Beautiful Views! You will enjoy your stay there! The host is more than accommodating!

    Jon2013-09-24T00:00:00Z
  • We had a great time at Molly's. The place si very spacious and there's something to do for everyone. We went at the beach every single day as it was very hot while we were there. The place si very cozy and our host, while away on a trip, kept in touch to make sure we had everything we needed. Thank you Molly for this wonderful time we will not hesitate to recommand.

  • Simply superb! Molly is a joy and a terrific host, and her home is lovely with a long list of great amenities. Nothing but the highest recommendation!

  • This was our first time trying Airbnb and can honestly say our experience was great. Molly was so helpful and responsive to all of our questions. The house was just as perfect as described. We really enjoyed the beautiful lake view and the entertainment of the piano and drums. It was an easy 40 min drive into the city with the relaxation of being in the country at night. We would definitely stay here again and recommend it to our friends.

    Anna2014-10-27T00:00:00Z
  • Our party of six had a fabulous stay at the lake house. We had everything we needed and more, and the beautiful location was a huge plus. It was great to unwind at the end of a day in the city in this quiet house. Molly was a great, accommodating, and friendly host who made sure everything was in place for us. The hot tub was a great way to relax after the marathon too! Pros: lake views, boats!, beautiful patio, hot tub on the lake (seasonal), large house with lots of sleeping space, great community to run through and explore, fantastic host, and wonderful large and stocked kitchen. Cons: the 45-minute to an hour drive would not be ideal if you were planning on making multiple trips into Boston each day. Overall, we had a great stay and will return as soon as we are able!

    Jordan2015-04-22T00:00:00Z
  • Molly's Lake House is one of the more warm and welcoming places I ever been. Amazing location by the lake with easy access to local restaurant, coffee places and grocery stores. I look forward to visit again!

  • After a hectic week in New York the Boat House exceeded all of our expectations for a peaceful retreat. It is an amazing home full of light and charm, reflecting the artistic character of Molly and her family, the lake is literally on the doorstep! Every home comfort was available allowing us to have chilled days on the porch and walking the local area, all that was missing was our dog who would have loved the woods. We had so many plans of where to go but in reality the magic of the lake kept us at home more than expected. The lakeside setting is stunning and the moon boat the most romantic experience, day or night to float around the lake. We travelled as 2 couples and felt that we had ample space and privacy to chill out together or separately in the large house… Littleton and the local area is beautiful and you are surrounded by historical sites, we loved Sunday morning Concorde and the walk to the bridge. Boston is an easy 40 minute trip on straight forward roads. Molly left a very informative pack, full of advice and communication was excellent. We hope to back someday and would recommend the Boat House 100%, for couples or families, there is so much space and kids would love the place …. That said it’s one of those Gems you don’t want to share with others in case you can’t get booked yourself when you want to !!!

Located in a relaxing rural setting only 20 miles from downtown Boston and 4 miles from Concord center. Our home is a classic mid-century modern house located on 2 wooded acres surrounded by beautiful walking trails and cycling routes. Our family is international as Debbie is from Scotland, John is from New York and our two daughters were born in London and Tokyo, respectively. We have lived in all of these places plus Abu Dhabi, Bahrain, Mexico City and Paris. We welcome all backgrounds.
The house is a mid century modern "Deck House". The bedroom, sitting room and large bathroom are on their own floor in the house half a flight down from the front entrance hall in the original part of the house. The living room is screened from the house stairway, which is used infrequently by the owners. The sitting room has a TV and is full of books and board games to use while you are staying here. There is a microwave and small fridge, a small kettle for your own use, along with coffee and tea. (A Trader Joe Market is 7 minutes away in Acton). There is a sliding door to the outside and chairs to sit on an catch the afternoon sun. The bedroom has a Queen size bed, a closet and a chest of drawers. The large bathroom has a 6ft bath to relax in after a long day, as well as a shower. There is a floor mattress stored in a closet with sheets/pillows that can be used for an additional guest in the sitting room.
  • This was my fist airbnb experience and I have to say it was fantastic ! Such a lovely family , warm , friendly .They gave us tips about local restaurants and historical parks ,very clean house , it had everything we needed and more , private .I got to experience fall in an awesome mid century house surrounded by beautiful colorful trees! Thank you again and I can't wait to come back !

  • Convenient location but away from the congestion of the town center, this unique place provided us two nights of restful sleep, and a cozy yet spacious spot to relax for the weekend. John, our host couldn't have been more helpful in getting us settled in, providing information about local places, and making sure we were comfortable!

I live in historic Concord, Massachusetts, and I am within 4 miles of Concord Academy,Fenn School,Middlesex School, and many historical sites. Less than 30 miles from downtown Boston. The room with the queen sofabed is adjoining the bedroom and each has its own TV. Private entrance with dorm-size refrigerator with freezer, microwave, and Keurig. Please note there is no kitchen in the suite.
  • This is a lovely suite in a beautiful location. It is super-quiet, next to a wooded area with lots of birds and butterflies in the garden - a really lovely retreat from the world! However, it is also really convenient for visiting Lexington & Concord and the surrounding area. There is a great family owned supermarket, Donelans, only 10 mins away, a couple of great restaurants in the same area & we would really recommend d the de Cordova sculpture park nearby. Ellen was a really friendly, welcoming & communicative host. Great value in a great location!

  • Comfortable bed, plenty of towels and linens. Ellen is very responsive which was very nice. Easy to get in and out with the keypad on the door. Perfect for a short weekend for a wedding!

    Yanzhi2017-08-09T00:00:00Z
  • Ellen is currently rated as a superhost, and it's accurate! She gives just the right amount of attention and information without being overwhelming or intrusive. She's friendly and available, but still trusts her guests to communicate what they need/don't need. We had no trouble parking our 2 cars in her driveway while we were there. Everything was clean and welcoming. Bed was very comfortable. No complaints here.

    Amber2017-09-25T00:00:00Z
  • Ellen is a fantastic host, and her place is beautiful, both the rooms themselves and the surrounding area. (The drive from her home to the center of Concord is absolutely sublime.) She is very friendly, very quick to respond, and very accommodating. A truly great host.

  • Ellen's place is in a beautiful neighborhood. Very peaceful. Our family enjoyed staying at her house.

  • Ellen was the perfect host throughout our stay at her lovely house in Acton. Myself and a colleague stayed with her for just under a week and Ellen made us feel very welcome. She was always making sure that we were comfortable and had everything we needed. It was very clean and tidy and easily accessible with parking. We had a car but I believe there are good public transport links around the area as well as places to eat or buy food. Would definitely recommend

    Jess2016-09-16T00:00:00Z
  • Ellen offers a cozy suite looking out into beautiful woods. The house is an easy hop to Acton or Concord (or Route 2 or 495, depending on commute needs). Given the importance of "woods" in Concord's history, it's lovely to be able to stay in an area that is undeveloped and dense with trees, birds, crickets, and a nature preserve at the end of the street! All the contemporary amenities "inside," with a touch of Concord "wild" -- and quiet -- without. I'm sure it's beautiful at Ellen's place in any season.

On this historic road you'll find my newly renovated home. You will basically have the place to yourself during the week as I work from 5am-5pm. I have a lovable German Shepard whom gets picked up daily by my mother. You'll have your own private room and a bathroom right next door. There are cameras outdoors and indoors so security is great even though this is one of the safest towns around and a great neighborhood with great historic activities to do.
The private room is located on the 1st floor away from our entire bedroom space which is upstairs and no access will be allowed there or in the basement. Currently we are designing the 2nd living room so you will have an entire living room to yourself also right next to your room and bathroom. A space is cleared int he fridge and cupboard for your use as well. Towels, toiletries, hair dryer and etc are provided for your use
This neighborhood is located on a historic road and so much culture related activities only a 1/2 mile away in the center which you could walk to (no sidewalks on the main road). Only 30-40 minutes from Boston, 15 minutes to Concord and 60 minutes to Gillette Stadium.

We stayed in the master bedroom, complete with a private bathroom (very clean and gorgeous double shower) + large comfy bed that allowed us to get all the rest we needed for our adventures in Boston. Unit B is an upstairs in law apt.and part of a restored colonial farm house. This is our home when we're not at our retirement NC property where we enjoy golfing, biking and playing bridge. Welcomed features include: private entrance with key less lock; washer/dryer; well equipped galley kitchen and table for meals in living room; 40" TV (local stations-HD); 2 desks; 3 bureaus; 2 small closets and plenty of coat/clothes hooks; private large deck with grill plus shaded table/chairs.
    wonderful and valued long term tenants in units A & C;
I particularly like not having to drive to go for a nice walk. And everyone likes the easy access to 495.
  • Karen's place was perfect for our stay and she was very accommodating, even bringing a grill upstairs because she knew I enjoy grilling. There was plenty of privacy, space, storage and everything we could possibly need. The bed was extremely comfortable. The neighborhood was very nice and surprisingly active with bikers, walkers and runners which you can view from a short distance on the roof top deck, which was so beautiful and relaxing in the morning for coffee. Highly recommended, we would definitely stay again!

  • This is an excellent option for a longer stay in the Boston area. I came in from overseas to start a new job at an MIT lab in the outskirts of Boston. I used this apartment to scout the region for long–term options. This place is IDEAL for that purpose. For example, this apartment has a fully equipped kitchen. I booked a first month, and then I decided to stay for another month. So I was very happy. One ESSENTIAL asset is the commuter rail station in walking distance. Walking distance is important, since you will not find parking there after 8am. However, if you stay in this apartment, you will easily be able to also catch a later train. It takes about an hour to reach downtown Boston or the Cambridge area. I can only recommend this place. You will need a car for shopping, since this place is pretty remote (which I liked). But you are still well connected to Boston, if you have to go there. For example, I am working at MIT, and I would highly recommend this apartment to researchers who want to work in the Cambridge area for a few months but wish to avoid the city. That said, it gets a bit small if you are staying with two people. I would not recommend to do that for more than a few weeks.

  • Joy's apartment was absolutely amazing. The location of the apartment can't be beat. It's a great hub if you're interested in hitting all the small towns outside of Boston as well as the city. There is an adorable gastropub a short walk down the street and everything else you'd need is right nearby as well. The apartment is in a gorgeous, safe, quiet complex with ample parking. The apartment itself was extremely clean, modern, well equipped and comfortable. Good air conditioning and internet. New furniture and kitchen. Joy was also an amazing host. She was available for help, easy to contact, and she packed the apartment with everything one could ever need and more. I highly recommend this place if you're traveling to MA.

  • Joy's studio was a great place for my guests ( my brother, his wife, and their toddler) to stay while they were in town! The kitchen was fully stocked, the decor was lovely, parking was easy, and everything was clean. Joy was great to work with. Just check in advance if the wifi will be available during your stay. • Tracey and Charlie are warm, personable and gracious hosts. This was our first Airbnb experience and it will be a hard act to follow- this a unique, beautiful, quiet country setting with horses and animals- restaurants are as close as 3 miles away. We enjoyed a clean and spacious suite with a comfortable king sized bed and private entrance to a beautiful pool area. It's located inside a state park - we walked to the farm that is in the park and had ice cream. It may be too close to the ice cream store for some people :-) but if you walk there you are at least burning calories. Good internet and their DirecTv access had lots of channels and free movies. Great breakfast too!

    David2016-06-08T00:00:00Z
  • Tracey and Charlie's home is beautiful! The rooms, huge bedroom, sitting area overlooking pool and spacious bathroom were clean and comfortable. Communication was quick and informative. I travel to Bedford many times a year, and this beats any hotel hands down!

  • This place far exceeds anyone's expectations! Better than the pictures! So relaxing, and just breathtakingly beautiful. We went in the Fall and it was a delight to see all the Foliage. The place is so clean, amazing bed and just luxury. If u want a nice getaway, I highly recommend it. The corner store had great breakfast. U will enjoy it, I hope to visit again I we get the chance. The horses on the property give it a nice farm appeal, my daughter loved it as well.

    Evelyn & Ariel 2016-10-25T00:00:00Z
  • Tracey's place was absolutely beautiful, just as shown in the pictures. It is located near the woods, in a picturesque setting with horses, birds, dogs and a delightful cat around. She was however very careful to not allow the dogs into the suite even though we'd have loved to have them in. The room is tastefully decorated, the bed very comfortable and the bathroom was spotless. The kitchenette was equipped with a coffee maker, tea kettle, cups and dishes and a fridge with water, Pellegrino and even beer. My favorite part in the room was the array of books and pictures of horses and animals everywhere. We would love to visit again. Thank you Tracey!

  • This was a great place to stay while we toured the Concord area. Very peaceful setting and wonderful hosts. Roomy space with some extra personal touches, including a fridge and area to prepare a light breakfast.

    Stephen2017-10-09T00:00:00Z
  • First, let me start off by saying this was a very last minute stay and Tracey was wonderful with a prompt response. Upon arrival Tracey was informative. Once we arrived she greeted us with open arms. The house and surrounding area are beautiful. This is the perfect place to relax. The bed is top notch. I haven't slept so well in a very long time. The morning of departure, my husband and I spent a few minutes talking to Tracey about her horses and getting to know her. We drove from PA to MA. With such a long drive I am so happy that we had opted for Airbnb over a hotel room. My husband and I are extremely picky so when you read this review, keep in mind that we have major OCD. Cleanliness is a most! Traceys place was better than any hotel room. It was so clean and organized.Thank you for a great stay.

  • This is a beautiful location with an excellent host and extremely welcoming and comfortable room. The room is really three rooms+ a bedroom living room combo, a second room with couch-bed and desk, a kitchenette, and designer bathroom, all the comforts of home. • You would be silly to pass up the b&b!! This was by far my best experience with a bed and breakfast ever, and I have stayed at quite a few both here in the states and overseas. I will review both the service and the home. The owners are very professional and personable. Upon arrival Remigiusz, greeted me and assisted with my bags. He and his wife gave me a tour of the house including my room and my private bathroom. They offered me coffee, coffee cake, and wine if I desired. The next morning (much to my surprise) I was prepared a lovely home cooked omelet breakfast with specialty bread, fine cheese, coffee, fruited, coffee cake, and all the fixings. They made me feel like I was at home. The house sits on 5 acres of land with a lot of trees and a river just feet from the backyard. It was very will maintained and clean both inside and out. The style of my room was a very nice combination of both contemporary and European. The room comes with a dresser, 2 lamps, 2 night stands, a bed, and a big closet. The mattress is very firm, but very comfortable. In my room, they left me 2 bottles of water and some fun size candies on a silver platter which I thought was a very nice touch. But the best part was the beautiful view of the changing and falling leaves. The shower had good water pressure and was very clean. They provided towels, wash clothes, shampoo, and body lotion. They do have a cat which stays downstairs. Very friendly cat. But keep that in mind if you have allergies. Honestly though, I'm kergic to cats. I get hives and I have asthma but had absolutely no problems with my allergies. Again, it comes from how clean they keep the house. I would and already have recommended this place to a friend and I most definitely will be staying here next time I am in town.

  • This is a very comfortable clean inviting newer home in a lovely bucolic setting and quite accessible to most local venues by Auto, in my case Clinton and Lancaster Massachusetts for wedding and reception. Other local amenities for vacation and relaxation exist which I did not Avail myself of, with time constraints. I think all will enjoy staying here. Very gracious Medical professionals are hosts and anxious to provide comfort and service.

  • Outstanding in every way. Beautiful home in the forest overlooking a river. Exceptional host--great communication and very friendly. Immaculately clean and very comfortable bedroom and bathroom. We were served an excellent European style breakfast which was a special treat.

Carlisle is a lovely small town with many, many conservation areas that are open to the public for hiking, cross-country skiing, snow-shoeing, and bird watching. There is a wonderful farm stand and the famous Kimballs Ice Cream stand in walking distance. Our home is in the town center, with Fern's country store, which sells beer, wine, and sandwiches across the street. While it is quiet and somewhat rural here, we are very close to the busier towns of Concord, Bedford, Lexington, and Burlington. Harvard Sq and Cambridge is within 10 miles, and Boston downtown is 20 miles away. Easy access to Routes 2, 3, 495, and 95/128. There is a commuter rail station in Concord Center.
  • Beautiful little antique farm house that was a pleasure to spend two nights in. Would recommend anyone passing through.

    Chris2016-08-08T00:00:00Z
  • The hosts were very kind and welcoming. The house is charming and comfortable and close to a number of exciting places to see.

  • Lovely room and bathroom in a beautiful old house. Bed was comfortable and we enjoyed the coffee and juice left for us, along with some muffins and yogurt we picked up for ourselves. Recommended!

  • Darragh is a super host. She was very accommodating and responsive as my arrival times moved around. Her apartment is cozy, clean and super comfortable. Highly recommend.

    Sean2016-10-31T00:00:00Z
  • I loved the spaciousness of the bedroom and having the bathroom to myself. Even though it is central in town, you felt as though you were living on a farm. I enjoyed the parlor with all the books and I would often escape to there.

    Susan2017-07-15T00:00:00Z
  • I was very welcomed into Darragh lovely home. It was clean & neat. Darragh has a gift of hospitality from the fresh towels every morning to the mini bottles of shampoo. We had a private patio and ate dinner there during are stay. Darragh also was very knowledgeable of places to go and see. We were on the college tour and Darragh gave us some great advice. I would stay there again if I were visiting Carlisle in the future.

    Karen2015-08-03T00:00:00Z
  • The room was lovely with a comfortable bed, wide pine floors and plenty of light. The bathroom was very modern. The location is in the center of a quintessential rural New England town, with a market/deli across the street. We were traveling for a funeral, and even though we weren't at the AirBnB for much time, we could feel the warmth and hospitality of our hosts, who left kind notes and fresh picked apples for us. We would definitely stay again.

My place is on a lake. Literally the master bedroom window is about 4 feet from the water. Kayaks and canoes are available. Great for fishing, boating, swimming and exploring. Water skiing lessons available at no charge. 10 minutes from one of New England's landmark ice cream stands, Kimball Farms. Multiple golf courses within 30 minutes. About an hour from Boston. You’ll love my place if you enjoy the peace and quiet of a lake setting but close to civilization. Great for couples and families.
This is a summer cottage built by my grandfather in the 50s and expanded upon in the 60s. All walls are real wood paneled. It sits at the end of a peninsula and it is quaint but extremely functional. it is technically on an island as you have to cross a small bridge to access the property.
The property is on a peninsula on an Island so you will not have much interaction with neighbors. I know them all and they are all exceedingly friendly.
  • What a great experience! We used this house as a home base for our trip to the Boston area. It was clean and comfortable, with plenty of sleeping space for our large family, a queen bed in the master bedroom, bunk beds and a trundle in the 2nd bedroom, and a futon in the den. Our host, Sandy, was very helpful, giving us advice about the best times to visit various places in and around Boston. We took day trips to Salem, Lexington and Concord, Plymouth, Cape Cod, and downtown Boston, all within an hour except our Plymouth/Cape Cod day, which is about 2 hours away, depending on how far along the Cape you choose to go. Sandy also very graciously allowed us to use his canoes, kayaks, and fishing gear to play on the lake in our spare time. For our last day, which we had planned as a lazy day, he took us out on the lake in his boat and pulled the kids around on a tube, which they thought was great fun. In all, the experience exceeded my expectations. The house and view are better in person than in the pictures. There are grocery stores and restaurants within 5-10 minutes away. Sandy was a top-notch host, really making us feel at home and comfortable. There's a lot to see in the area, and I hope we can visit again.

    Paul2016-07-11T00:00:00Z
  • Sandy's cottage on the water's edge was perfect for me & my 3 (preteen) boys! We stayed for 5 nights & enjoyed every bit. The cottage was spacious and comfortable. It was very well stocked with everything one could want right down to scissors, garlic press, bug spray & cling wrap, everything from spices to extra light bulbs. However, Sandy advised not to drink from the property's shallow well water, so don't forget to bring clean drinking water. My boys truly enjoyed the use of the kayaks & canoes. I was so thankful for the ample life vests. We used the fishing poles/gear/nets, even the gas grill available. We were warned that there was a small hot water tank, but had no shortage for showers, though we did stagger them. On our first night, we arrived too late to enjoy the lake, but after we settled in, we explored and then enjoyed a quiet evening playing some card and board games that were in the "television room". Such a nice touch to find a few games, toys, Legos and even puzzles. The back deck leads right down to the water & while it's deep enough to dock small boats, it's also shallow enough to wade right in for swimming, which was great for my boys. The pond was quiet, just private enough, and we even found a small park beach on the other side the boys swam in on our last day. Our host was quick to respond and close by if needed. He offered some suggestions on the local attractions & things to do in Boston. I Must recommend the Boston Science Museum! Their website claims visitors average 1-3 hours, but I can't imagine how anyone could experience all of it in under 6! Overall, our stay was lovely. We would recommend Sandy's summer home in a heartbeat & might even return ourselves.

    Paula2016-08-13T00:00:00Z
  • We had a wonderful stay at Sandy's place. My boys enjoyed catching lots of fish off the dock, and playing with the many games that were at the house. We loved the lake views and friendly people. We will hopefully be back next year!

    Lauren 2016-08-28T00:00:00Z
  • Sanford's cabin on a lake is a location that's hard to beat. On a peninsula surrounded by water and looking into the woods, it was a great retreat and place to unwind after work. Sandy was really friendly and welcoming, also right around the corner for anything we needed. highly recommended.

    Stefan2017-06-16T00:00:00Z
  • Wonderful and peaceful home and host is so nice. Loved it will definitely stay here again.

    Carla2017-07-03T00:00:00Z
  • My friends and I had the most wonderful time here! Everything was better, bigger, cleaner than expected. We had another reservation that got cancelled at the last minute and we managed to find this listing. I think it must have been cosmic intervention! Our host was very friendly, I think if we had been able to stay longer we would have shared a campfire! Though there is plenty of privacy if that's what you are looking for (which we primarily were). The cabin is very close to civilization but once you are there, it all falls away. Gorgeous view from the cabin over the lake. I can't say enough good things! I would happily stay here again.

    Sarah2016-07-26T00:00:00Z
  • I stayed with my sister and husband at Sandy's place for a week because a friend of mine had her wedding just across the lake from us. The place is beautifully situated right by the water in the woods - quite secluded but right next to Sandy's actual house, and a small cabin with a lodger. There are plenty of very friendly neighbours around - you'll probably see them pass by in fishing boats. We also had a swan family who came by each night to be fed. Loved having the 2 kayaks to use. We used them almost every day to explore the lake. It's about a 13 min drive to Groton Main Street, which is worth a look for the pretty New England houses and churches. About an hour from Boston itself and 2 1/2 hours to Cape Cod. It's a simple, homely place that, although small and rudimentary facilities-wise, was very comfortable and after a few days felt like home away from home. If you love swimming, walking and generally being on the water, then this is the place for you.

    Zoe2017-08-30T00:00:00Z
  • This is a lovely, slightly dated, camp on a beautiful lake. Kayaks and private dock were great, the water is clean for swimming. Everything we could have asked for was provided---extra blankets for a cool night, cooking utensils, it was there--and lots of games! A quiet, peaceful, restful spot to land for a short time.

  • The place is more than comfortable -- private bath, spacious room, closet, and privacy. Seema communicated with me throughout my stay and made it easy to come and go as I needed for early and late meetings. The location is close to Westford, where I work when traveling, and there are a variety of restaurants within a 5-10 minute drive. Seema and her family were very helpful in recommending places to explore. I'm looking forward to staying here whenever I visit this office!

  • Elizabeth’s home is warm and welcoming. She is an enlightening and insightful individual. Conversations with Elizabeth were boundless. We stayed in The Tavern Room which was impressive, private and quite embracing, particularly with the featherbed that nestled us ever so gently. Her garden was a stunning sanctuary where we enjoyed our luscious traditional English breakfast while embracing the songs of nature and smells of countless flowers.

  • What a wonderful layover on our way to Maine!! Elizabeth couldn't have been more accommodating! We arrived very late, but she still had tea and snacks waiting for us. She also made some good recommendations close by for a late bite and drink. The room was lovely and the ensuite bathroom with heated toilet seat was a pleasant surprise. The house is beautiful and full of interesting antiques. Breakfast was a full-on REAL English breakfast!! We followed the wonderful aroma of bacon and yummies downstairs to a beautiful breakfast table! Fresh fruit and cream, eggs, home fries, beans, bacon, maple sausage, mushrooms, oh my! Absolutely scrumptious, there wasn't a scrap left on my plate! Although it was already getting cold out, her garden was still bursting with colorful dahlias and other garden beauties. Elizabeth is a lovely host and wonderful to chat with! What a great find!

  • What a delightful trip back in time! My husband Marc and I came to New England from California for a graduation but also wanted to explore our rich American history. We could not have found a better home base for Lexington, Concord and the Freedom Trail in Boston! To stay in a wonderful b&b built in 1713 which is fully equipped with WiFi,cable etc so we could go back in time yet stay current if the spirit moved was amazing! Elizabeth made wonderful breakfasts and provided a sense of community. The gardens were also enchanting, as were the hiking trails nearby. Obviously, I highly recommend you visit Elizabeth at Fletcher Tavern B&B in Westford if you are ever find yourself in the area.

  • My visit to the Fletcher Inn was a wonderful experience. Elizabeth was a great host, so easy to communicate with and answered messages and questions promptly. She also set out snacks making us feel quite welcome. The Tavern room was lovely, and the entire inn is filled with a beautiful history. Could not be happier with my visit and would recommend it to anyone looking for a beautiful, old-fashioned b&b experience.
